Cute Card Thursday # 68 und Just Magnolia # 13

And another card for today. This one was made for challenge # 68 at Cute Card Thursday. They want - now that end of school is near - to say thank you to all teachers out there and picked "thank you Miss" as their theme. Since I´ll have to make a few of these that theme comes totally in handy (and reminded me to start these cards soon).
And Just Magnolia has chosen a wonderful sketch for their week # 13:

At the moment I love that vintage look so also this card is made looking old. I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the cardstock I stamped the image on, that´s what gave it this speical look. First I tried spraying on a colored image, but the result was ugly. At the edges, where some Gamsol was soaken in the paper, also the Glimmer Mist got soaken in and left some ugly dark brown edges. So I sprayed on the paper first and stamped my image on after drying. I also colored only special parts of my image (the face, the hair, the shoes, the dress and the book) and I love that look. The printed grossgain ribbon was leight beige but that gave a too hard contrast and so I added brown chalk to it. The sentiment is written in Sütterlin, the old german script. It means "schöne Ferien" - something like "enjoy your summer break". (Even if the "s" should look different).
