Magnolia Down Under # 80

Wunderschönen Sonntag-Morgen! Geburtstag heute?

Happy sunday morning! Is it your birthday today? Yes? So happy birthday from me - and you´ll get a cake too!

For the new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under we picked the theme of "reduce - reuse - recycle". Go and search for those hidden treasures you can find in your house and use on a card. I strumbled over all those left over birthday candles since you never use up the whole pack, and I also used some transparency from a packaging that was going to the trash.

And I can tell you that there will be a tutorial for how to make this card shortly at Stempeleinmaleins!

This is what the card looks when you hand it over to the recipient:

Here´s another view where you can see the bow which I used to close the card.

The top of the card is made like an Easel Card so you can display it. The inner part of the card is made from a "cake" and a box that holds the candles:

All you have to do now is take the candles out of the box, put them in the cake and light them up:

Congratulation Tilda and Balloon Background are from the new You Are So Special Collection by Magnolia. I stamped just two of the balloons on a quite thick transparency, stamped only the balloons on paper and put these on top of the transparency - now I was able to cut at the outlines of the threads without cutting off the transparency between them and now it looks like the balloons are really flying. Also the papers are from the new Magnolia collection: Lace Flower and Lot of Hearts. I also used some Vintage Pink Quilt. Saying is by Stampin´Up.

I am entering this card into these challenges:

One Stop Craft: more than one fold/mehr als eine Falzung

Totally Gorjuss: hot hot hot/heiß!

Cute Card Thursday recipe: 3 - 2 - 1 (3 Papiere/papers, 2 Blumen/flowers, 1 Motiv/image)

Totally PaperCrafts: add a heart/verwende ein Herz

And these are the Copics I used - but the dress was nearly only colored with Prismacolors since I didn´t find the right Copic tone for the cardstock I used:
