Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 4. Februar 2017

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello eveyone!
Today we from Stempeleinmaleins are sharing this technique to make a card from paper strips - a great way to use up those left over pieces of paper.

I used black cardstock as a base and used the chalk technique to make it look like a poorly cleaned chalk board. I set a scalloped heart in the middle and on top of that I glued the heart made using paper strips. I went with different red and pinks.
I had to add some cheesecloth, flowers, ribbon, pearls and feathers or it would have been to plain for my taste.

And here you can see the really great thing about this technique. There is a word - or even a shape - cut out from the carstock covered with the paper strips, then put it again cut from a different color and in the end the open spaces - like in the L - get filled up again. It looks great, may sound a bit complicated but is super easy to make!
