Geisterpost

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Those mail men don't have an easy life - barking or biting dogs, lots of stairs and today there's even a ghost coming out of the mailbox! Okay, at least on this card, that I am sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today. But the ghost looks pretty friendly.

I used a stamp similar to the Small Brick Background for the wall. Therefor I stamped it on white paper and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. Then I used Distress Ink Weathered Wood to color the paper in.
On top of the wall I added a greeting and one of the Party Banners by MFT.
For the door I stamped the Wood Plank stamp with brown ink onto brown cardstock and cut it the size I needed it.

I added a window to my door. I wanted it to look old, like it's meant to be in a spooky house. So I stamped and colored the bat from the Fa-Boo-Lous Friends stamps set in - including the brown background - and then added two layers of Ultra Thick embossing powder. After a few minutes in the freezer I was able to break the UTEE and make the window look broken. Then I also whiped some white paint over the window to make it look dirty.
In the top edge a little spider built her web and is dangling down from it and there's a bat on the other side of the window.

And this is the mailbox, made using the Mail Deliver dies. I guess those are great for interactive cards as well, but here it's just a plain mailbox. It's cut from grey carstock and I used my Copics to add some rust to it. Also the L isn't straight anymore...
Besides two letters, that are from the Mailbox die set as is also the grass, the little friendly ghost is peeking out.
