Januar-Challenge bei Stamping-Fairies

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a save trip into this new year and are ready for 365 new and creative days! And with this new year also the new challenge over at Stamping-Fairies is starting.

As you might be able from a look at my card we went with winter as our theme. I wanted to make a card in frosty and quiet colors. So I used a white card bases and put one of the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames, also cut from white cardstock, on top of it. Inside this frame I've created a winter scene.

So bekommt man keine harten Kanten.

For the background of my scene I've die cut one of the Stitched Hexagon Stax and used Distress Oxide Salty Ocean to ink it up a bit, making the color lighter at the top and darker at the bottom. The snowflakes from the Snow Cool stamp set by Lawn Fawn are heat embossed with white embossing powder. I wanted to only stamp it with water at first, but since the layer of color is really thin I didn't get as much contrast as I wanted.
On top of the hexagon I've added different elements from the Scenic Snow Globe die set by MFT. I added some white embossing powder to the trees to make them look snowy. I simply put Versamark on top of the whole trees, covered them with embossing powder and then used my finger to remove some of the powder. This way I didn't get any hard edges.
Across the complete card I've added a strip of cardstock that was also inked in with Oxide Salty Ocean. On this  strip I've stamped the word "winter" with the Well Connected Alphabet stamps and used white embossing powder on it again.
