Viel Glück in Regenbogenfarben

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Thema der vierten Coloring Challenge ist "rainbow". Und wieder habe ich das wortwörtlich genommen. Nun ist es so, dass viele "nur" Colorationen zeigen, und das ist absolut okay. Aber ich bin einfach zu viel Kartenbastler und nicht Colorist, um viel Zeit zu investieren ein Motiv zu colorieren und es dann nicht weiter zu verwenden. Für mich gehört beides zusammen und erst nach dem Zusammensetzen der Karte fügt sich alles zusammen. Und deswegen habe ich auch diesmal eine fertige Karte für Euch.

Theme of the 4th Coloring Challenge is "rainbow", and again I took that literally. Many "just" show colorings and that's totally fine. But I am too much of a cardmaker and not a colorist to invest a lot of time into coloring something and then not use it any further. To me both belongs together and only after putting a card together, the whole design makes a unit. And so I have another finished card to share with you today.

 

Der Hintergrund ist mit Through the Clouds Stencil von MFT gemacht. Das große Loch habe ich mit Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire gewischt und anschließend silberne Metallic Watercolor und etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. Die Außenlinien der anderen Stencilteile habe ich mit einem Bleistift leicht auf den weißen Cardstock übertragen und anschließend schattiert - grau an den äußeren und farblich zum Regenbogen passend an den inneren Kanten. Die unterste Wolkenlage ist mit einer Stanze von HeroArts gemacht. 

 The background is made using the Through the Clouds stencil by MFT. I inked the large hole with Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire, then splattered silver metallic watercolor and a bit of white acrylic paint onto it. I traced the outlines of the other stencils in the set onto my white cardstock and then shaded them - grey on the outer and matching the rainbow on the inner edges. The bottom cloud layer is made using a die by HeroArts.

 

 

Wie schon erwähnt, habe ich das Thema wörtlich genommen und einen großen Regenbogen von oben nach unten über meine Karte gespannt. Dafür habe ich erst die Colorblast Stanze von MFT aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann nur die inneren vier Teile coloriert. Da mir nun für einen Regenbogen zwei Teile fehlten - die komplette Stanze war mir hier einfach zu breit - habe ich die Teile zusammengeklebt und dann coloriert. So konnte ich die Farbverläufe über die Grenzen der einzelnen Bögen hinaus zu gestalten. Nach dem flächigen Colorieren habe ich mit den selben Markern kleine Punkte aufgesetzt und später mit einem weißen Gelstift von unten her ebenfalls Punkte aufgetragen, so dass der Regenbogen zu glitzern scheint.

 

As mentioned above I  took the theme literally and added a large rainbow  vertically onto my card. I first die cut the Colorblast die by MFT from white carsdtock and then only colored the four inner pieces. Since I was missing two pieces for a complete rainbow now - the whole die cut just was too large for my scene - I glued the pieces together and then colored them. This way I was able to create my color changes not having to care about the outlines of the die. After coloring the rainbow I added little dots with the same markers and later used a white gel pento add more dots from the bottom up to make the rainbow look glittery.

 

 Ich habe überlegt, welches Motiv auf meine Karte passen würde und mir vielen die Glücksbärchis ein. Und dafür habe ich Bären aus den Sets Snow Much Fun und You're Clawsome von LawnFawn benutzt. Ich habe sie mit Jellyfish Ink gestempelt und dann im No-Line Look coloriert. Dabei habe ich die Bäuche der Bären weiß gelassen und später mit einem farblich passenden Polychromo Symbole aufgemalt. 

Die Bären habe ich dann auf zwei kleine Wolken geklebt.

 

I thought about which images might fit my scene and then I had the Care Bears in mind. I used bears from Snow Much Fun and You're Clawsome by LawnFawn for them.  I stamped them with Jellyfish Ink and colored them in a no-line look, keeping the bears' bellies white. Later I added a symbol to each bear using a Polychromo in a matching color.

 

 Nun fehlte noch ein Text - und zu den Glücksbärchis passt natürlich ein "viel Glück". Das Wort Glück besteht aus drei gestanzten Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks, gemacht mit der Viel Glück Stanze, das viel ist aus dem Set Kleine Worte, beides von Stampcorner, und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Auf das gestanzte Wort habe ich Highlights mit einem Schimmer-Gelstift aufgemalt.

 

Now my card was only missing a text. In german the Care Bears are calles Glücksbärchis - Happiness Bears.  But the word Glück can mean both, happiness and luck. So I went with "good luck" for my text. I stacked three layers of black cardstock for the word luck, the word good I white heat embossed onto black cardstock. Then I added highlights to the die cut word using a glittery gel pen.

 

 

 Der obere Teil der Karte ist flach - nur die Bären auf den Wolken habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Das untere Ende des Regenbogens habe ich mit dickem 3D Tape  aufgeklebt und dann die gestanzten Wolken nochmal mit dünnem 3D Tape daraufgeklebt. Das verstärkt den 3D Effekt auf der Karte.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The top part of my card is completly flat, I only put thin foam tape behind the bears on the clouds. The bottom edge of the rainbow I adhered with thick foam tape and then glued the die cut clouds on top using foam tape again. This makes the 3D look of the scene even more prominent.

Then I adhered my card panel to a white note card.

 

Frechheit siegt

Man sagt ja, Frechheit siegt. Und manchmal ist ein wenig Frechheit  der Beginn etwas Wunderbaren, einer neuen Freundschaft zum Beispiel. Dafür steht meine heutige Karte.

Here in Germany we say "cheekiness wins". And sometimes being a bit sassy is the start of something wonderful, like a new friendship. That's what today's card stands for.

 

Ich habe hier ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks genommen und mit dem Round Stencil von Stampcorner und hellblauer Tinte einen Himmel aufgewischt. Zuvor habe ich eine Grasbordüre aus Masking Tape gestanzt und damit den unteren Rand des Stencils abgeklebt, so dass ich im nächsten Schritt den gerade aufgewischten Himmel abdecken und darunter einen schmalen Streifen Gras mit Mowed Lawn und Twisted Citron aufwischen konnte. Anschließend habe ich den Stencil wieder aufgelegt und nur auf den Himmel etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgewischt.

Weil der Hintergrund doch etwas fad aussah, ich aber wirklich die kleine Szene im Fokus haben wollte, habe ich den Himmel mit dem im Stencil-Set enthaltenen Kreis abgedeckt und drumherum mit dem Speed Lines Stempel und weißer Pigment-Tinte Strahlen aufgestempelt. Sie sind auf dem sehr hellen Cardstock nur ganz leicht zu sehen, füllen die Karte aber optisch.

 

Here I used a piece of light blue cardstock and inked a light blue splotch as a sky onto it using the Round stencil by Stampcorner and light blue ink. Before applying the ink I die cut a grass border from masking tape and covered the bottom of the splotch so as a next step I was able to cover the sky and add just a thin strip of grass under it with Distress Ink Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. Then I put the stencil back on and added some splatters of white acrylic paint just to the sky.

The background looked a bit empty, but I really wanted  my little scene to be the focus of the card. So I put the negative, that comes with the stencil, onto the sky and then stamped the Speed Lines with white pigment ink around it. Those rays are hardly visible on the very light cardstock but still fill the card.

 

 Als Motiv habe ich mich für den Ameisenbären aus dem Set Nasenbande entschieden. Und auf ihrer Nase steht eine kleine Ameise und sagt ganz frech "Hi". Die Ameise ist aus dem Set Happy Summer von LawnFawn. Um sie in die richtige Richtung schauen zu lassen, habe ich sie per Mirror Stamping "umgedreht". 

Den Ameisenbären habe ich mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten, die Sprechblase kommt im selben Set wie er.

An die Graskante habe ich dann noch einige kleine weiße Blümchengeklebt und mit einem grünen Polychromo Stiele angemalt. Und oben am Himmel habe ich drei kleine weiße Wolken aufgeklebt.

 

As the image I picked this little anteater from the set Nasenbande. On his nose there's a little ant, saying "hi". This ant is from Happy Summer by LawnFawn, I did some mirror stamping to make it face the right direction.  

I colored the anteater with Copics and cut him out with my scissors, the speech bubble comes in the same set as the anteater.

I added some small white flowers along the grass edge and drew stems with a green Polychromo. To the sky I adhered three small white clouds.

 

 Die Texte für meine Karte sind beide aus dem Set Coole Socke. 

Das namensgebende "Du Coole Socke" habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Kartenhintergrund gestempelt - es passte so toll genau unter den Ameisenbären. 

Den Text darunter habe ich von drei- auf einzeilig geändert und weiß auf einen Streifen blauen Cardstocks embosst.

 

The texts on my card are both from Coole Socke.

The first line - it means "cool guy" - I stamped directly onto the background using black ink. It fits perfectly under the anteater.

The text under, that means "be sassy, wild and wonderful", I white heat embossed onto a strip of blue cardstock.

 

 Die Blümchen und Wolken habe ich direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, der Ameisenbär, die Sprechblase und der untere Text sind mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the flowers and clouds directly onto the background with liquid glue, behind the anteater, the speech bubble and the bottom text I put thin foam tape. As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Eine frühlingshafte Buchkarte

Heute habe ich eine frühlingshafte Buchkarte für Euch, verschickbar zu allen möglichen Gelegenheiten, weil sie doch irgendwie recht generell gehalten ist.

Today I have  a spring-ish book card to share with you, that fits all kind of occasions since I kept it pretty open in theme.

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich erst die Butterfly Blossom Texture Stanze von WaffleFlower aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Eigentlich wollte ich noch Farbe draufspritzen, habe mich dann aber dagegen entschieden. Stattdessen kam der Ribbon Frame von TheGreetery zum Einsatz. Den habe ich aus hellblauem Vellum gestanzt. Irgendwie ist der immer einen Ticken zu klein. Also habe ich ihn wieder in vier Teile geschnitten und etwas auseinandergezogen auf den Blumenhintergrund geklebt. Die offenen Stellen - und Klebestellen - habe ich dann später unter dem Buch versteckt. 

For the background I die cut the Butterfly Blossom Texture die by WaffleFlower from white cardstock. 

I had intensions to add splatters to it, but then decided against it. Instead I brought out the Ribbon Frame by TheGreetery again. I cut it from light blue vellum. Somehow this frame is always a bit too small for those german sized cards. So I cut it into four pieces again and attached them to the white die cut with a bit of space between the pieces. I've hidden the gaps - and glued - behind the book later.

 

 Das Buch habe ich mit der Open Book Stanze gemach. Das Buch selbst habe ich aus olivgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Forest Most etwas schattiert.

Dann habe ich zweimal die Buchseiten gestanzt und jeweils mit etwas Lost Shadow schattiert. Eines dieser Seiten-Diecuts habe ich direkt flach auf das Buch geklebt, die zweite habe ich dann mit einem Bonefolder etwas abgerundet, sie an der Mittelkante mit Flüssigkleber auf die Seite darunter geklebt und mittig längs jeweils einen Streifen 3D Tape zwischen die Seiten gesetzt. Dadurch wirkt das Buch schön dreidimensional.

Vor dem Aufkleben habe ich mit grauer Tinte den Spruch aus einem älteren Set von SU, der meiner Meinung nach perfekt zu einem Buch passt, aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich mit der Open Book Coloring Stencil den Rahmen mit einem hellgrauen Fineliner auf die Seiten gemalt.

Unter die rechte Buchseite habe ich ein Stück grünes Organzaband gesetzt.

 

For the book I used the Open Book die. I cut the book from olive green cardstock and shaded it with a bit of Distress Ink Forest Moss. 

Then I cut two of the book pages and shaded both with Lost Shadow. I adhered one of this page die cuts flat onto the green book, the other one I rounded with my bonefolder, adhered it with liquid glue along the middle line and put foam tape under the center of each page. This way the book gets a wonderful dimensional look.

Before adhered the second book page die cut I stamped this text from an older set by SU, that works perfectly with this book, onto one of the pages using light grey ink. I also used the matching Open Book coloring die to draw a light grey frame onto the pages.

I put a piece of green organdy ribbon under the right page.

 

 An zwei Ecken habe ich dann noch Blumen zwischen die Buchseiten geschoben. Dafür habe ich erst die Butterfly Bloosom Texture Stanze einmal aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt und zwei passende Stellen ausgeschnitten. Da die Blüten hier jeweils nicht komplett sichtbar waren, habe ich noch das Butterfly Blossom Stanzenset benutzt und einzelne Blüten und Schmetterlinge damit ausgestanzt, ebenfalls aus Watercolor Cardstock.

Die Blüten - und später auch die Schmetterlinge - habe ich per Ink Smooshing eingefärbt. Die Blätter mit Twisted Citron, the Blüten mit Peacock Feathers, die Blütenmitten mit Mustard Seed und die Schmetterlinge mit Stormy Sky. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich mit Polychromos einige Details aufgemalt, um den Blüten zumindest optisch etwas Tiefe zu geben.

Die Schmetterlingskörper habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock  gestanzt und jeweils drei davon aufeinander geklebt. Die schwarzen Details auf den Schmetterlingen habe ich mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen gemacht und damit auch die Körper der Schmetterlinge überzogen. Beide Schmetterlinge habe ich dann oben auf die Buchseite geklebt.

 

At the bottom left and top right corner I tucked some flowers under the book pages. I fist die cut the Butterfly Texture die from watercolor cardstock and cut out two areas I liked. Since the flowers weren't completly in those areas I used  the Butterfly Blossom die set and die cut some individual flowers and butterflies from watercolor cardstock.

The flowers - and later also the butterflies - I colored by doing some ink smooshing. I used Twisted Citron for the leaves, Peacock Feathers for the flowers, Mustard Seed for the flower centers and Stormy Sky for the butterflies. After the cardstock had dried I added some details with Polychromos to give the flowers some depth.

The butterfly bodies I cut from black cardstock and stacked three of them for each butterfly. The black details on the butterfly wings I made with a black Glaze Pen and also covered the butterfly bodies with it. Then I glued both butterflies on top of the pages.

 

 Ich habe das Buch mit 3D Tape auf das weiße Stanzteil geklebt und einige Perlen als Deko auf die Buchseiten geklebt.

Weil der weiße Aufleger etwa die  amerikanische A2-Größe hat und es in diesem Fall doof aussah, die Kanten über die Ränder einer deutschen A2 überstehen zu lassen, habe ich eine etwas größere Karte gemacht, schwarzen, etwas kleineren Cardstock aufgeklebt und darauf dann meinen Kartenaufleger befestigt.

 

I used foam tape to adhere the book to the white die cut and added some white pearls to the book pages as decoration.

Since the white die cut has about american A2 size and in this case it looked strange put onto a german A2 card, letting the edges overhang, I simply created a larger card here. I glued a black mat onto the card base and then glued my card panel on top.

Die nächste Coloring Club Challenge ist online und diesmal lautet das Thema "Wasser". Hm, da gibt es ja viele Möglichkeiten - offensichtliche, aber auch etwas verstecktere. Nach einigem Überlegen habe ich mich dann für das offensichtliche entschieden und eine Karte mit Meerjungfrau und Meer gemacht.

The next Coloring Club Challenge has started and this time the theme is "water". Well, there are so many ways to include water on a card - obvious ones and also not so obvious ones. After  some hard thinking I went with the obvious and made a card with a mermaid and the ocean.

 

Bei dieser Karte habe ich das Thema wohl dann mal so richtig getroffen - hier ist die komplette Szene samt Hintergrund mit Copics gemacht. Nur der Rahmen mit den Palmen ist darüber geklebt.

Ich habe ein Stück weißen Cardstocks in drei Teile geteilt - Himmel, Wasser und Sand und dann meine Copics mal wieder so richtig gefordert. 

Ich liebe ja meine verschiedenen Lagen etc. und mache solche Karten wie die heute nur noch selten, aber ich muss zugeben, dass es richtig Spaß gemacht hat.

 

With this card I think I nailed the challenge - the complete scene and background are made with Copics. I only added the die cut palm tree frame later. 

I used a piece of white cardstock and divided it into three parts - sky, water and sand. Then I really took my Copics to good use.

I love the cards I usually make, with all the layers etc., and make cards like today's kind of rarely anymore but I have to admit that I had a lot of fun.

 

 Die Meerjungfrau ist aus dem Mermaizing Stempelset von MFT. Aus diesem Set sind bis auf die Vögel alle Motive auf der Karte. 

Mit Meerjungfrau und dem Felsen, auf dem sie sitzt, habe ich hier dann auch begonnen. Ich habe zuerst die Meerjungfrau abgestempelt und mit Masking Tape abgedeckt. Dann habe ich den Felsen darunter gestempelt. Dabei habe ich den oberen Teil mit schwarzer, den unteren Teil, der später unter Wasser sein sollte, mit grauer Tinte abgestempelt. Das verstärkt den "unter Wasser" Look noch mehr. Und dann habe ich drauf los coloriert. Und ich könnte bei bestem Willen nicht mehr sagen, welche Copics ich benutzt habe - am Ende lag eins sehr großer Haufen Stifte auf meinem Tisch, die ich alle wild kombiniert und übereinander gelegt habe.

Für die weißen Bereiche im Wasser, im Sand und für Highlights im Motiv habe ich einen weißen Gelstift benutzt.

 

The mermaid is from Mermazing by MFT. All of the images on this card except for the birds in the sky are from this set.

I started with the mermaid and rock, that she's sitting on. I first stamped the mermaid and masked her off, then stamped the rock. I stamped the upper part of the rock with black, the lower one, that I wanted to be under water, with grey ink. That intensifies the "under water" loook. And then I went wild with my markers. I really couldn't tell which markers I used - there was a big pile of them on my desk when I was finished and I mixed them wildly, layering different shades on top of each other.

For the white areas in the water, sand and for some highlights on the main image I used a white gel pen.

 

 Den Palmenrahmen habe ich mit der Palmen Insert Stanze von Kulricke gemacht. Der hat eigentlich ein anderes Format, ich habe ihn per Partial DieCutting auf die regulare Kartengröße abgeändert und aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Palmenblätter, die Richtung Motiv zeigen, habe ich mit Chalks ganz leicht in Orange- und Rottönen eingefärbt.

Dann habe ich den Rahmen auf die fertige Szene gelegt und oben an den Himmel den Text gestempelt. Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich überhaupt einen Text hinzufügen möchte, fand dann aber, dass die Karte so komplett wird. 

Außerdem habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte noch ein paar Vögel aus Smooth Sailing von LawnFawn an den Himmel gestempelt.

 

I used the Palmen Insert die by Kulricke for the palm tree frame.  It has a smaller size originally and I did some partial die make it fit all around a regular sized card base, cutting it from black cardstock. Then I brought out some chalks and lightly colored the leaves, that face the scene, in oranges and    reds.

Then I put the frame onto the finished scene and added my text to the sky. I really wasn't sure if I wanted any text here, but then decided, it would make the card complete.

With black ink I also stamped some birds from Smooth Sailing by LawnFawn  onto the sky.

 

 

 Nach dem Aufstempeln des Textes und der Vögel, war die Karte irgendwie recht "kopflastig" und mir fehlte etwas unten auf der Szene. Also habe ich noch drei Muscheln coloriert und ausgeschnitten.

Hinter den Palmenrahmen habe ich dann dünnes, hinter die Muscheln dickes 3D Tape gesetzt und anschließend den jetzt fertigen Kartenaufleger auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

After adding the text and birds the design was a bit top heavy and I was missing something at the bottom. So I colored three sea shells and cut them out.

 I put thin foam tape behind the palm tree frame and thick one behind the sea shells. Then I adhered the now finished card panel to a white note card.

 

Zauberhafte Geburtstagsgrüße

Ich wurde gebeten, eine Geburtstagskarte zu machen. Verschenkt wurde ein Gutschein für einen Trip nach London mit Besuch der Harry Potter Studios, denn die Beschenkte ist ein großer Fan. Natürlich wollte ich da dann auch die Karte passend machen.

I was asked to make a birthday card. The present was a trip to London including a visit of the Harry Potter studios, the recipient is a large fan. Of course I wanted my card to match. 

 

Mir schwebte eine gewisse Szene vor, die war aber recht hoch, also habe ich eine Slimline Karte gemacht. 

Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon, Uncharted Mariner und Black Soot gewischt. Dann habe ich champagnerfarbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

I had a special scene in mind but I knew it wouldn't fit onto a regular card, so I made a slimline sized card.

The background I inked with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot. Then I splattered some champagne colored metallic watercolor onto it. 

 

 Quer über die Karte habe ich die Skyline von London geklebt. Die habe ich am PC ausgedruckt und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Darunter befindet sich dann ein breiter Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks als Boden für meine Motive.

Ich denke, man kann ganz gut erkennen, welche beiden Zauberer hier auf meiner Karte zu sehen sind: Ron und Harry. Die sind aus dem Stempelset Always Believe in Magic von Impronte d'Autore. Ich habe die beiden mit Copics im Gryffindor-Look coloriert und Harry zusätzlich die Brille aufgestempelt. Außerdem durfte natürlich die Narbe auf der Stirn nicht fehlen, die ich per Hand dazugemalt habe.  Die Brillengläser habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Beide halten Zauberstäbe in der Hand und zaubern damit einen Geburtstagsgruß an den Himmel. Die aus den Zauberstäben aufsteigenden Glitterspuren sind aus dem Set You are Magical, ebenfalls von Impronte d'Autore.

Rechts und links hinter den Motiven habe ich noch zwei Wegweiser aufgestellt - einer zeigt Richtung Winkelgasse, der andere zum Bahnsteig 9 3/4. Die Schrift habe ich jeweils am PC gedruckt, ausgeschnitten und blau-grün-grau, passend zur Skyline, coloriert. 

 

Across the card I glued a skyline of London. I printed that on my PC and cut it out by hand. Under it there's a strip of black cardstock  as the ground for my images to stand on.

I think you can tell pretty easily which magicians are shown on my card: Ron and Harry. They are from the Always Believe in Magic stamp set by Impronte d'Autore. I colored both in Gryffindor colors using Copics and added the glasses to Harry's face. And of course the scar had to be there, too, so I just drew that on. The glasses I covered with Glossy Accents.

Both are holding their wands up, writing a birthday greeting into the sky.  The glitter coming out of the wands is from You Are Magical, also by Impronte d'Autore.

On both sides I put up signposts behind the images - one showing the way to Diagon Alley, the other one to Platform 9 3/4. I printed the text on my computer again, cut it out and colored it a blue-green grey, matching the colors in the skyline.

 

 Der gezauberte Geburtstagsgruß musste natürlich besonders aussehen. Also habe ich mit dem Quinn's Capital Letters Stempelset von LawnFawn die Buchstaben für happy birthday gestempelt, türkis coloriert und jeweils genau an den Stempellinien ausgeschnitten. Die habe ich dann zusätzlich mit einem weißen Gelstift übermalt. So wirken die Buchstaben, als würden sie strahlen. 

Ich habe die Buchstaben auf den Himmel geklebt, weitere Glitterspuren aus dem Set Always Believe in Magic weiß drumherum embosst und dann mit einem weißen Gelstift viel Punkte rund um die Buchstaben gemalt, um den Leuchteffekt noch zu verstärken. 

Über dem Text fliegt dann noch Hedwig, die wieder aus dem Set You Are Magical ist.

 

Of course a magically created birthday greeting had to look special. So I used the Quinn's Capital Letters stamp set by LawnFawn to stamp the letters for the words happy birthday, then colored them turquoise and cut them out right along the stamped outlines. Then I used a white gel pen to cover those black stamped lines and make the letters look glowy.

I  adhered the letters to the sky, white heat embossed  more glitter trails from Always Believe in Magic around it and then added a lot of tiny dots with a white gel pen around the letters to intensify the glowing look.

Above the text Hedwig the Owl is flying in the sky, she's again from You are Magical.

 

 Hedwig und die Schilder habe ich mit dünnem, Ron und Harry mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Rund um den Text habe ich einige kleine türkisfarbene Sternkonfetti aufgeklebt.

Und um die Szene stimmiger zu machen, habe ich auch auf den Gehsteig sowie die Motive kleine Bereiche mit Glitterpunkten versehen, so als würde die Schrift am Himmel  die Motive etwas beleuchten.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf eine weiße Slimline-Cardbase geklebt.

 

Hedwig and the signs are backed with thin, Ron and Harry with thick foam tape. Around the text I glued some small turquoise star confetti.

And to connect the scene in the sky with the figures on the ground I added tiny glitter dots also onto the ground and the images, just like the text in the sky is shining on them.

As the last step I attached the card panel to a white slimline card base.

 

A 24 Carrot Day

Heute habe ich eine weitere Karte mit dem süßen Hasen von LawnFawn. Und als ich auf der Suche nach einem Text, der zu ihm passt, über den „have a 24 carrot day‘“ gestolpert bin, war das Design meiner Karte in meinem Kopf klar. Und hier seht Ihr die Karte, die nach dieser Idee entstanden ist.

 

Hello everyone!

On today’s card I used the cute bunnies cutting die set by LawnFawn again. When looking for a text that might go with it I came across this „have a 24 carrot day“ text and immediately had a scene in my head. This is the result.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich leicht mit blauer Tinte schattiert habe. Dann habe ich etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock, that I shaded lightly with blue ink. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.

 

Über den kompletten Cardstock habe ich dann zuerst eine Lage Gras und darauf einen Zaun, gemacht mit der Picket Fence Border Stanze, aufgeklebt. Darauf kam dann eine Lage Frühlingsblumen, gemacht mit der Flower Border Stanze, und eine weitere Lage Gras. Auf all diese Lagen bis auf den Zaun habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe fein aufgespritzt. 

Für das Karottenbeet, in dem dann der Hase sitzt, habe ich die Stitched Garden Border verwendet und sie aus craft farbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Per Partial Diecutting habe ich dann noch nur die eingestanzten Hügel ein weiteres mal leicht versetzt unter die bereits eingestanzten Hügel gestanzt. Ich habe den Cardstock mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso schattiert und dann neben weißer Acrylfarbe auch etwas verdünntes Ground Espresso aufgespritzt.

Der süße Hase ist natürlich mit dem Build a Bunny Set von LawnFawn gemacht. Ich habe ihm dabei eine Karotte in den Mund geschoben, die er mit der anderen Hand festhält. Und rund um ihn herum stecken noch viele weitere Karotten im Beet - 24 Stück habe ich dann aber doch nicht untergebracht.

Die Karotten sind mit einer weiteren Stanze aus dem Set Stitched Garden Border gemacht. Ich habe sie aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt, leicht mit Rusty Hinge und Peeled Paint gewischt und dann noch Details mit Polychromos aufgemalt.

Und dann fielen mir noch die kleinen Würmer mit den Brillen aus Little Woodland Library in die Hände - die mussten natürlich auch ins Beet und sitzen nun zwischen den Karotten.

Across the whole cardstock piece I placed a layer of grass, then put a fence, made with the Picket Fence Border die, on top. I then added a row of spring flowers, made with the Flower Border die, and then another layer of grass. I added fine splatters of white acrylic paint onto all these layers except for the fence.

For the carrot field, that a little bunny is sitting in, I used the Stitched Garden Border die set. I cut it from kraft colored cardstock and added another layer of those cut in hills a bit offset by doing some partial diecutting. Then I inked the cardstock with Distress Ink Ground Espresso and added splatters with acrylic paint and some oft he Ground Espresso, mixed with water.

The cute bunny is made with the Build a Bunny set by LawnFawn. I put a carrot in his mouth, letting him hold it with one hand. And around him there are lots of more carrots in the ground, waiting to be plucked. But I didn’t manage to add 24 of them.

For the carrots I used another die from Stitched Garden Border. I die cut them from colored cardstock, shaded them with Rusty Hinge and Peeled Paint and then added some details with Polychromos.

I had the Little Woodland Library set laying on my table and spotted those little worms with the glasses in it. Of course those had to go into the bed as well and are now sitting happily between all those carrots.

 

 

Auf/Um alles habe ich dann den Leafy Tree Landscape Backdrop verwendet. Der ist aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt, mit einem Polychromo habe ich einige Details auf den Baumstamm gemalt. Die Blätter habe ich mit einer weiteren Stanze aus dem selben Set aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, leicht gewischt und mit Details versehen.

Auf den Leafy Tree Backdrop habe ich dann zuerst einen Stitched Rectangle Frame, gestanzt aus hellblauem Cardstock, geklebt und darauf dann die Blätter befestigt. Außerdem habe ich einige winzige weiße Blüten dazwischen gesetzt. Die sind eigentlich Blumenmitten aus dem Stitched Strawberry Frame Set.

Unten am Baumstamm habe ich noch ein Stück gestempeltes Gras aufgeklebt.

 

On top I put the Leafy Tree Landscape Backdrop. I cut it from brown cardstock and added some details to the trunk using Polychromos. The leaves I cut using another die from the set, inked them lightly and added some details to them.

I first adhered a Stitched Rectangle Frame, cut from light blue cardstock, on top of the Leafy Tree Backdrop and then glued the leaves onto it. I also put some tiny white blossoms between the leaves, that are originally flower centers from Stiched Strawberry Frame.

To the bottom of the tree trunk I added a piece of stamped grass.

 

 

Am Himmel habe ich dann besagte Sprechblase mit dem Text aufgeklebt. Der ist aus dem Set Simply Celebrate Veggies. Und weil die Ecke oben rechts irgendwie doch etwas fad aussah, habe ich dort zumindest noch einen Schmetterling, der von einer anderen Karte übrig war, untergebracht.

 

Onto the sky I adhered a speech bubble with said text, that’s from Simply Celebrate Veggies. And since the top right corner looked a bit plain I at least added a little butterfly, that I had leftover from another card, to it.

 

 

Zum Zusammensetzen der Karte habe ich 3D Tape benutzt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used foam tape to put the card together and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Hello Spring

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

 Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, ist bereits vor einiger Zeit entstanden, an einem Tag, an dem ich nur wenig Zeit zum Basteln hatte. Ich habe hier die Butterfly Blossom Stanze sowie die Butterfly Texture Stanze von WaffleFlower benutzt, mit der auch schnelle Karten problemlos möglich sind.

The card, that I'm sharing with you today, I made already some time ago, on a day that I didn't have much time to craft. I used  the Butterfly Blossom and Butterfly Textures die by WaffleFlower here, that make quick cards quite easy to make.

 

 Ich habe den Hintergrund, der eine komplette Stanze ist, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Hilfe der passenden Stencil mit verschiedenen Distress Inks eingefärbt: die Schmetterlinge in türkisblau, die Blumen in koralle und hellem rot, die Blätter natürlich in grün. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt und auf die Blüten Details mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. 

Die Schmetterlinge habe ich nochmal mit den Schmetterlingsstanzen aus dem Set Butterfly Blossom aus Vellum gestanzt - die halb verdeckten Schmetterlinge habe ich mit der Butterfly Blossom Texture Stanze aus Vellum gestanzt und dort ausgeschnitten - die Körper aus schwarzem glänzendem Cardstock. Das Vellum habe ich von unten mit der türkisblauen Tinte eingefärbt, die Details mit schwarzer Tinte. Und dann habe ich die Punkte im Muster der Schmetterlinge oben auf dem Vellum nochmal mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen nachgemalt. 

Dann habe ich noch die Blumenmitten aus matt-goldenem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt und aufgeklebt.

 

 I die cut the complete background from white cardstock and  used the coordinating stencils to ink it with Distress Inks: the butterflies a turquoise-blue, the flowers a coral and light red and the leaves - of course - green. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint on top and added some gel pen details to the flowers.

I die cut the butterflies again from vellum using the Butterfly Blossom set - the partly covered ones I cut using the Butterfly Blossom Texture die and cut them out -, the bodies I cut from black shiny cardstock.  I inked the back of the butterflies with turquoise ink, the details with black ink. Then I used a black glaze pen to draw the dots on the wings on the top of the vellum.

I also die cut flower centeres from matte gold metallic cardstock and glued them on.

 

 Für den Text habe ich die Hello Spring Word Die benutzt. Die Schattenlage habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die Buchstaben für das hello aus schwarzem Cardstock. 

Das Wort spring habe ich dreimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die Lagen aufeinander geklebt und die oberste Lage in koralle und rot eingefärbt. 

For the text I used the Hello Spring Word die. I cut the shadow layer from white cardstock, the letters for the word hello from black.

The word spring I cut three times from white cardstock, stacked them and inked the top layer in red and coral.

 

 Den Text habe ich mittig auf die Blumen geklebt und die Fühler und Köpfe der unteren Schmetterling obenauf gelegt. 

Als Deko habe ich nur auf dem Text einige goldene Perlen verteilt und eine davon auch auf den I-Punkt gesetzt.

Aus schwarzem Cardstock habe ich die Piercing Panel Stanze gestanzt und außenrum etwas zugeschnitten. Darauf habe ich dann mit 3D Tape die Blumenlage geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the text to the center of my flower panel, tucking it under the heads and antennas of the bottom butterflies. 

As decoration I added some gold pearls just to the text area and glued one also onto the dot over the I.

From black cardstock I cut the Piercing Panel and cut it a bit smaller. Then I adhered the card panel onto it with foam tape.

As the last step I glued everything onto a white card base.

 

Once Upon a Time

Heute startet die zweite Coloring Club Challenge, diesmal mit dem Thema "once upon a time". Und weil ich keine märchen-spezifischen Stempel habe, habe ich einfach wild drauflos gemixt und "meine eigene Magie" gestaltet.

Today the second Coloring Club challenge has started, this time with "once upon a time" as the theme. I don't have any stamps related to specific tales so I just mixed all kind of images and "made my own magic".

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus rosa Wolken. Die beiden untersten Lagen sind mit Stanzen von HeroArts gestanzt, die Wolken darüber habe ich auf ein Stück weißen Cardstocks gewischt. Dabei kam eine Wolkenstencil sowie Distress Oxide Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany sowie ein ganz wenig Scorched Timber zum Einsatz.

Auf alle Wolken habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe und silberne Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

The background is all pink clouds. The two layers at the bottom are actually die cut using dies by HeroArts, the other ones I inked onto a piece of white cardstock. I used a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany and a tiny bit of Scorched Timber.

Onto all the clouds I splattered white acrylic paint and silver metallic watercolor.

 

 Mein eigentlich Plan war, irgendwas mit einer Prinzessin und einem Schloss/einer Burg zu machen. Aber da habe ich mal so überhaupt nichts im Sortiment. Aber zumindest das Element Schloss/Burg konnte ich zumindest teilweise einbauen. 

Mit dem Castle Stanzenset von MFT habe ich die beiden Türme aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Die Steine habe ich dabei frei Hand aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich aus weißem Cardstock zwei Efeuranken gestanzt, ebenfalls coloriert und dann an den Türmen hochranken lassen.

Wie sich das bei einem echten Märchen gehört, stehen oben auf den Burgtürmen Wachen und blasen in ihre Fanfaren, sobald König und Co in Sicht sind. Diesen Job übernehmen hier die Mäuse von LawnFawn. Sie sind aus den Sets Dandy Day und Dandy Day FlipFlop. Die Fanfaren samt Fahnen sind aus dem Fanfare Trumpet Set von Gummiapan. Ich liebe deren kleine Dies und habe mir da gerade einige neue zugelegt. Sie passen von der Größe her perfekt zu den Mäusen. Seid also gewappnet für die nahe Zukunft, da könnte mehr auf Euch zukommen... 

Die Fanfaren sind ebenfalls aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und coloriert. Dann habe ich sie mit einem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert.

Hinter den Mäusen weht noch jeweils eine Fahne im warmen Sommerwind, ebenfalls aus dem Castle Stanzenset.

Und hier unten habe ich dann auch gleich meinen Text angebracht. Eigentlich wollte ich einen anderen aus dem Magical Unicorns Set von MFT benutzen, aber ich konnte das Set nicht finden! Ich hatte schon befürchtet, es verkauft zu haben - aber beim Aufräumen der anderen Stempel habe ich es dann gefunden. Es steckte genau dort, wo es sein sollte und ich hatte wohl Tomaten auf den Augen. Also habe ich stattdessen ein"make your own magic" benutzt. Das "make your own" ist aus dem Chrysantemum Stempelset von PinkFresh. Das "magic" habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Magical Sparkle Words Set von HelloBluebird gemacht und einfach das "al" am Wortende weggeschnitten. Es besteht aus zwei Lagen: einer aus schwarzem Cardstock und darauf eine aus weißem Schimmer-Cardstock. Den I-Punkt habe ich durch einen silbernen Stern-Konfetti ersetzt.

 

My original plan was to make something with a princess and a castle. But I don't have anything for that in my stash. But at least the castle element I was able to include, at least partly.

I die cut two towers from light grey cardstock using the Castle die set by MFT, then shaded the pieces with Copics. I added the bricks free hand and also die cut some ivy from white cardstock. Again I colored it with Copics and then let it creep up the towers.

In every real tale there are guards standing on top of some towers, blowing their trumpets as soon as king and co are near. The mice take over this job here. They are from Dandy Day and Dandy Day FlipFlop. The trumpets and banners are from Fanfare Trumpet by Gummiapan. I love their small dies and just ordered some new ones a  little ago. They are just perfect to go with the mice. So be warned, there might be more mice cards coming in the near future...

I cut the trumpets from white cardstock and colored them. Then I made them shiny using a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen.

Behind the mice there are two flags moving in the warm summer wind - they are again from the Castle die set. 

And here, at the bottom of the card, I also added the text. I had planned to use a different one from the Magical Unicorns set by MFT, but I wasn't able to find that set! I really was afraid that I've sold it - but when putting everything away once my card was finished I found the set. It was exactly where it should be and I obviously didn't see it... So I created a "make your own magic" instead. The "make your own" part is from Chrysantemum by PinkFresh. The "magic" I made using a die from Magical Sparkle Words by HelloBluebird and simply cut off the "al" at the end. The word is made from two layers: one from black cardstock and on top one cut from white shimmer cardstock. The dot on the i I replaced with a silver star confetti.

Und oben am Himmel habe ich dann doch noch ein komplettes Schloss untergebracht, das aber doch eher klein ausgefallen ist. Es ist, genauso wie die Berge dahinter aus dem Set Me and My Dragon von MamaElephant, der kleine Drache davor aus Dragon Wishes. 

Ich habe übrigens alle Stempelmotive mit dem Jellyfish Stempelkissen von LawnFawn abgestempelt und dann per No-line Coloring coloriert. So bilden colorierte Stanzteile und die gestempelten Motive eine Einheit. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics benutzt und dann noch einigekleine Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt.

 

And up in the sky I then managed to add my castle, even if it's a very small one. Just like the mountains behind it it's from Me and My Dragon by MamaElephant, the little dragon is from Dragon Wishes.

By the way, I stamped all images with the Jellyfish ink pad by LawnFawn and then did some no-line coloring to color them in. This way the stamped images and the colored die cuts have the same look. To color the images I used Copics and then added a few details with Polychromos.

 

 Die beiden untersten Wolkenlagen und die Türme samt Mäusen sind jeweils mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich kleine silberne Sternkonfetti auf  den Himmel und auch die beiden Fahnen an den Fanfaren geklebt, dann habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

I backed the two bottom cloud layers and the towers with the mice each with thin foam tape. Then I added a few small silver star confetti to the sky and also onto the banners on the trumpets and adhered my card panel to a white note card.

 

Grüße aus der Wüste

Auf meiner heutigen Karte sendet ein kleines Kamel Grüße aus der Wüste. Manchmal ist mir einfach nach etwas komplett anderem und ich brauchte eine Pause von all den Osterkarten... ;)

 

Hello everyone!

On the card I am sharing with you today a little camel is sending greetings from the desert. I sometimes just feel like making something a bit silly and I really needed a break from all those easter cards... ;)

 

Ich habe hier aus einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks den Wonky Stitched Window von Stampcorner ausgestanzt. Hinter dem Fenster habe ich dann meine Szene gestaltet.

 

Here I die cut the Wonky Stitched Window by Stampcorner from black cardstock and created my scene behind the window.

 

 

 Die Szene besteht aus einem Stück blauen Cardstocks mit zwei aufgeklebten weißen Wolken für den Himmel, darauf habe ich eine Lage Sand gesetzt. Das habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht, den ich zuerst mit Distress Oxide Scattered Straw gewischt habe und dann ein wenig Gathered Twigs von unten  her aufgetragen habe. Für etwas Struktur habe ich feine Spritzer weißer Acrylfarbe und Distress Ink Ground Espresso aufgetragen.

Direkt aus dem Fenster schaut uns das Kamel an. Es ist aus dem Set Guckst Du von Stampcorner und ich finde genial, dass es bereits auf gewisse Art schattiert ist. Da mir dafür aber schwarze Linien zu krass gewesen wären, habe ich das Motiv mit brauner Tinte abgestempelt. Dann habe ich es mit Copics coloriert und dabei die Augenbrauen schwarz nachgemalt. Anschließend  habe ich es per Hand ausgeschnitten und hinter das Fenster gesetzt. 

Damit das arme Kamel nicht gar so schwitzen muss in der Wüste, habe ich eine schattenspendende Palme mit aufgeklebt. Die ist mit einer Stanze von MFT aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert. 

 

The scene is made from a piece of light blue cardstock with two glued on white clouds for the sky, then I put some sand onto it. I created that from white cardstock that I first inked with Distress Oxide Scattered Straw, then added a bit of Gathered Twigs. To add some structure to the sand I added fine splatters of white acrylic paint and Distress Ink Ground Espresso.

Out of this window this cute camel is looking at us. It's from Guckst Du by Stampcorner and I like, that it already is kind of shaded. But I felt like black lines would have been too harsh with all the shading, so I stamped the image with brown ink. I colored it in with Copics and went over the eyebrows with a black marker. Then I cut the image out with my scissors and placed it behind the window.

To make sure this poor camel isn't getting too hot in that desert I planted a palm tree that gives some shadow. It's made using a die by MFT - I cut it from white cardstock and again colored it with Copics.

 

 Der Text auf der Karte hat mich etwas Überlegungsarbeit gekostet. Mir fiel einfach kein Wortspiel mit den Worten Wüste oder Sand ein... Aber dann kam ich auf "sanding hugs", also eine Mischung aus "sand" und "sending". 

Besagtes Wortspiel habe ich unter dem Fenster angebracht. Die Buchstaben für das Wort Sand habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und genauso, wie den Sand in der Landschaft hinter dem Kamel, gewischt. Den Textteil "ing hugs" habe ich mit Stempeln aus dem Set Offset Sayings Birthday von LawnFawn gemacht. 

 

The text on the card took me some thinking - I just wasn't able to come up with a german pun including the word desert or sand... But then "sanding hugs" popped up in my head, a mix of "sand" and "sending". 

I adhered said pun under the cut out window. I die cut the letters for the word "sand" from white cardstock and inked them exactly like I did the sand for the landscape behind the camel. The part of the text, that reads "ing hugs" I stamped with stamps from Offset Sayings Birthday by LawnFawn.  

Über dem Kamel habe ich eine Sprechblase mit einem aufgestempelten "hello gorgeous" aus dem Flamazing Set von MFT angebracht. Der Text ist einfach schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Und weil der schwarze Hintergrund irgendwie noch zu düster war, habe ich aus weißem Cardstock noch eine Sonne aus dem Set Hello Sunshine von MFT gestanzt. Ich  habe sie erst leicht mit Distress Oxide Scattered Straw gewischt und dann von der Ecke her noch etwas intesiveres Gelb aufgewischt. Dafür habe ich einfach die Farbe benutzt, die noch in meinem Pinsel war - ich kann also nicht genau sagen, welcher Farbton es war, der hier zum Einsatz kam. 

 

I placed a speech bubble with a stamped in "hello gorgeous" from Flamazing by MFT above the camel's head. I simply stamped the text black onto white cardstock. 

And since all the black on the background seemed a bit too dark I die cut a sun from Hello Sunshine by MFT from white cardstock, then inked it lightly with Distress Oxide Scattered Straw. Then I used whatever was left of another blending brush I use for yellow ink to itensify the color in the corner.

 

 Ich habe einige Elemente mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt und die Scene zusammengesetzt.

Als Deko habe ich ein paar rote Herzen aufgeklebt, auch, um das rot im Kamel nochmal aufzugreifen. Dann habe ich einen Rahmen mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

 I put thin foam tape behind a few of the elements and put the scene together. 

I added some red clay hearts as  decoration and to pick up the red in the camel again. Then I drew a frame onto the black cardstock with a white gel pen, then adhered the card panel to a white note card.
