Vor einiger Zeit sind bei mir die süßen Frösche von MFT eingezogen - und auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige ich heute eine Karte damit.

A little time ago those cute frogs by MFT moved into my craftspace - and over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this card today using one of them.
Zuerst möchte ich Euch bitten, meine Coloration nicht genau zu beachten. Normalerweise nehme ich Copics, aber vor kurzem habe ich mir das komplette Set der ZIG Clean Color Brush Pens gegönnt - und das hier ist mein allererster Versuch damit. Ich muss noch viel üben - aber zum Wegschmeissen waren mir die Motive dann doch zu schade...
First I have to ask you not to judge my coloring. Usually I use Copics but I treated myself with the full set of ZIG Clean Color Brush Pens recently - and this was my very first attempt at using them. I still have to learn a lot but throwing these images away felt wrong so I used them...
Nun aber zu meiner Karte:
Zuerst habe ich den Hintergrund gestaltet. Dafür habe ich die Ranken aus dem Splendid Swans Stempelset auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und dann mit dem Masking Fluid von Nuvo abgedeckt. Das finde ich klasse. Ich habe eines einer anderen Marke, aber da rubble ich mir immer das Papier mit weg, egal, wie vorsichtig ich bin. Bei dem von Nuvo ist mir das noch auf keinem Papier passiert. Durch das Masking Fluid konnte ich, ohne die Blätter der Ranken mit einzufärben, erst die Wolken mit der Cloud Stencil und darüber die neuen Mini Raindrops aufwischen. Ich habe für die Wolken Distress Ink Stormy Sky und für die Regentropfen Tumled Glass verwendet. Danach habe ich dann die Ranken coloriert.
Für die Wellen habe ich die Ocean Waves von MFT aus hell- und mittelblauem Cardstock ausgestanzt und die hintere Reihe direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt.
So, let's talk about my card:
First I created the background. I stamped the branches from the Splendid Swans stamp set directly onto white cardstock and then covered them with Masking Fluid by Nuvo. I just love this. I have a masking fluid from a different brand but whenever I remove it parts of the paper come off with it, no matter how carefully I do so. That never happened with the Nuvo Fluid, no matter which paper I use. With the Masking Fluid on I was able to create the background without staining the leaves. I used Distress Ink Stormy Sky and the Cloud Stencil for the sky and then added the Mini Raindrops using Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. After rubbing off the Masking Fluid I've colored in the leaves/branches.
For the waves I used the Ocean Waves dies and cut them from light and middle blue cardstock. The back row is glued directly onto the background.

Aus dem Hintergrund habe ich dann einen der Circle Slider Elements ausgestanzt. Der Ring ist direkt auf meine Kartenbasis geklebt, das "Drumrum" mit Abstandsband. Ich wollte, dass mein Frosch ein Bad im See nehmen kann....
Die Biesen habe ich erst jetzt aufgeklebt, denn die wollte ich, da sie so filigran sind, nicht mit im Slider Element haben.
Der süße Frosch sitzt, wie auf dem ersten Bild zu sehen, auf einem Stein. Ich hatte keinen Stein, also habe ich einen der Icebergs umfunktioniert und grau coloriert. Passt doch, oder?

Then I've die cut one of the Circle Slider Elements from the background. The ring was glued directly onto my card base, the rest of the background was glued down using dimensinal tape. I wanted my frog to be able to take a bath in the lake...
The water plants - that I don't know the english name of - were glued onto the background now. It is so filigrane that I didn't want it to be included in the slider.
As you can see on the first picture the cute frog is sitting on a stone in the lake. I didn't have a stamp or die of a stone so I just used one of the Icebergs and colored it in using greys. It works, doesn't it?
Und hier ist er nun untergetaucht...
Die obere Lage Wellen habe ich mit Moosgummi aufgeklebt, das kann man schön großflächig benutzen. Ich musste drei Lagen aufeinander setzen und konnte es auch nur auf der linken Hälfte anbringen, da der Frosch sonst nicht mehr hätte tauchen können. Aber es funktioniert. Um den Frosch sich bewegen lassen zu können habe ich eines der Replenishment Slider Elements zwischen zwei kleine Kreise aus Cardstock geklebt. Die finde ich toll, den dadurch rutscht das Motiv nur und dreht sich nicht, wie z. B. bei einer Spinner Card.
Unten auf die obere Wellenlage - die so groß ausfallen musste, damit der Frosch dahinter verschwindet - habe ich noch einen der Texte aus dem Toad-Ally Awesome Stempelset (das mit den Fröschen) abgestempelt und ein paar glitzerndeWhite Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops drumherum verteilt.
And here the frog has dived into the water...
The top layer of waves is attached to the card using fun foam. I love it since it can be used on large areas. I had to put three layers of it on top of each other and was only able to attach it to the left side of my card or it would have stopped the frog from diving. But it works that way. I used one of the Replenishment Slider Elements by MFT to make the frog move. It's glued between to small circles from cardstock. I just love those since they only make the image slide and not turn like they do i. e. on spinner cards.
To the bottom of the top layer - that had to be that big so the frog can hide behind it completly - I've added a saying from the Toad-Ally Awesome stamp set (the one with the frogs) and added a few White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops around it.
