Zum Schulanfang die Dritte

Wir in Bayern stecken ja noch mitten in den Sommerferien. Aber ich weiß, dass das nicht überall in Deutschland so ist. Ich hoffe, Ihr könnt trotzdem noch Werke zum Thema Schulanfang sehen. Heute zeige ich auf dem Kulricke Blog einen für diesen Anlass dekorierte Pillowbox Stanze.

Hello everyone!
Here in Bavaria we're still in the middle of summer break. But some parts of Germany are already going back to school. So I hope you're not tired of seeing back to school projects. Today over at the Kulricke Blog I am sharing an Pillow Box for this occasion.

Die Box selbst habe ich aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich mit gelber, blauer und grüner Tinte A, B und C aufgestempelt. Dafür habe ich einen der Stempel aus dem Set ABC Schule genommen. Und wer mich kennt, weiß inzwischen, dass ich recht rigoros sein kann. So auch hier - ich habe den Stempel einfach in 3 einzelne Stempel geschnitten. Wie gesagt, Zusammensetzen ist jederzeit wieder möglich. Die Buchstaben habe ich dann mit einem weißen Gelmaker ausgemalt.

Da mir das noch zu leer war, habe ich noch ein paar Mal das Wort Schule - auch Teil eines der Stempel aus dem Set - mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt.

The box was cut from green cardstock. Then I used yellow, blue and green ink to stamp the A, B and C. Therefor I've used a stamp from the ABC Schule stamp set. And if you know me you should know by now that I can be really brutal with my stamps. Also here - I've cut apart the stamp that was made from all three of those letters to be able to stamp them individually. As surely mentioned before - putting them together to one stamp on an acrylic block is always possible. Then I've filled in the letters with a white gelly marker.
And since that still looked a bit plain to me I've added the word school several times to my box using black ink.

Um die Box habe ich dann - natürlich nach dem Zusammenkleben - etwas weißes Band gewickelt und daran das Geschenk-Tag angebunden. Das Tag ist aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt. Unten auf die Vorderseite habe ich die Zahlen 123 aus dem 123 Schule Stempelset aufgestempelt und wieder mit weißem Gelmarker ausgemalt.

Zum Zusammenkleben der Box habe ich übrigens zwei Tipps für Euch:

1. Zieht die ausgestanzte Box ein- bis zweimal über die Tischkante, um den Cardstock etwas zu runden. So entstehen später keine unschönen Knicke, wenn Ihr die Seitenteile schließt.

2. Zieht die Falzlinien der Rundungen mit einem Falzbein nach. So lässt sich die Rundung ganz einfach das erste Mal falzen und Ihr lauft nicht Gefahr, dass die Ecken unschön knicken.
Auf das Tag kam dann die neue Schultüten-Stanze. Sie ist aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt. Das mit der Stanze gelieferte Matting habe ich hier nicht verwendet. Stattdessen habe ich die ausgestanzten Teile der Schultüte mit weißem und grünem Cardstock hinterlegt. So sieht man die Buchstaben in der Stanze besser, da sie eine andere Farbe als das Gelb des Tags im Hintergrund haben und auch die aufgestempelte Deko nicht durchscheint.

After glueing the box together I've wrapped some white ribbon around it and tied the gift tag to it. The tag has been cut from yellow cardstock. To the front I've stamped the numbers 1, 2 and 3 and filled them in with a white gelly marker again.
To glue the box together I have a few helpful tips for you:
1. Take your die cut piece and round it a bit by pulling it down while holding it against the table edge. This avoids kinks when closing the top and bottom pieces.
2. Use a bonefolder to score the folds of the half circles before you close those for the first time. That makes folding those easier and also avoids kinks towards the ends.
Onto the tag I've put the new school cone die. It's been cut from dark blue cardstock. I didn't use the matting here that comes with the die. Instead I've glued some white and green cardstock behind the cut out areas. That makes those areas pop out better since you have a different background color than the yellow from the tag and those stamped on numbers don't shine through the cut outs.

Innen in das Tag habe ich noch einen Text aus dem Stempelset 123 Schule aufgestempelt und ein kleines Herz aus blauem Cardstock hinzugefügt.

Onto the inside of the tag I've stamped a "have fun reading, writing, calculating" saying and added a small heart, cut from blue cardstock.
