Hier kamen viele verschiedene Stempelsets von MFT zum Einsatz. Da sich im Inneren ja schon einiges abspielt, hatte ich eigentlich vor, die Vorderseite einfach zu halten. Mir schwebte ein Text mit ein wenig Deko vor. Aber kennt Ihr das, wenn sich eine Karte während des Bastelns einfach verselbständigt und dann ganz anders aussieht, als ursprünglich geplant?
Here I've used a bunch of different stamp sets by MFT. Since there's quite a lot going on inside the card I had planned to keep the front simple. I was thinking of a saying and some decorations. But did it ever happen to you that a card seems to have it's own ideas how it wants to look and then turns out completly different than planned.
Hier also meine "simple" Vorederseite. Ich habe ein Weihnachtszimmer mit Kamin gestaltet, aus dem Santa gerade herausrutscht. Auf dem Kamin stehen natürlich Milch und Cookies, die Familie hat den Kamin mit Sternen und einer Girlande geschmückt. Die Katze scheint das alles gar nicht zu interessieren, sie schläft entspannt weiter. Und man kann Santa schon sein Hohoho rufen hören. Für die Girlande habe ich die beiden Zweige aus dem Set Handlettered Holiday Greetings mit zwei verschiedenen Grüntönen mehrfach über- und aneinenader gestempelt. Das Ausschneiden hinterher hat ewig gedauert, sich aber definitiv gelohnt. Die Schleife habe ich vom Geschenkesack aus dem Secret Santa Set "abgenommen", aus dem auch Milch und Kekse sind. Für den Kamin habe ich die Fireplace Stanze aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt, mit klarem Pulver den Small Brick Background darauf gestempelt und anschließend alles mit hellgrauer Tinte gewischt. So ist auch der Boden entstanden, hier habe ich statt mit Embossingpulver mit hellgrauer Tinte die Holzdielen aufgestempelt. Santa ist aus dem Set Santa and Friends - eigentlich umarmt er ein süßes Rentier, aber das passt ja nicht mit durch den Kamin! Für den Text habe ich einen Stempel aus dem Set Happy Pawlidays anders angeordnet und das PAWS weggelassen.
Das alles habe ich dann auf die linke Seite meiner Karte geklebt, die ich vorher mit einem der Papiere aus dem Candy Land Papier beklebt habe. Auf der rechten Seite habe ich unter das Designpapier einen kleinen Magneten geklebt, der die Karte geschlossen hält.
So, here's my "simple" front. I've created a living room scene on christmas eve with Santa coming through the chimney. Of course there's milk and cookies on top of the fireplace that the family also decoratec with two stars and a garland. The cat doesn't seem to be impressed by Santa's arrival, she just keeps on sleeping. And you can hear Santa's Ho Ho Ho. For the garland I've stamped the two twigs from the Handlettered Holiday Greetings set using two different tones of green, layering the stamps. Cutting the garland out by hand took quite some time but it was definetely worth it! The bow is "taken off" off the gift bag from the Secret Santa stamp set from which are also the cookies and glass of milk. For the fireplace I've die cut the Fireplace die from white cardstock, clear heat embossed the Small Brick Background on it and then added some light grey ink. The same way I did the floor but instead of clear embossing the wood panels I've used a light grey ink to stamp it. Santa is from the Santa and Friends stamp set - he originally hugs one of his reindeer but it doesn't fit through the chimney! For the saying I've re-arranged a saying from the Happy Pawlidays set and kept out the PAWS.
My scene was then glued onto the left side of my card front onto which I've glued a sheet of the Cany Land paper pad. On the right side I've hidden a magnet under the designer's paper that keeps the card closed.

Und hier ist eine Aufnahme vom Innenteil der Karte. Hier habe ich die Wand verklinkert, auf dieselbe Weise, wie ich den Kamin gemacht habe. In die Wand habe ich ein Loch geschnitten und darüber das Classic Window geklebt. Die Familie, die in diesem Haus wohnt, wollte lange Vorhänge, also habe ich Take the Stage Stanze aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt, die Vorhänge oben etwas gekürzt und mit Copics die eingestanzten Linien betont. Hinter dem Fenster sind die kleinen Tannen und die Schneeberge aus dem Set Mountain High und ein Hügel, für den ich eine der Stanzen aus dem Scenic Snow Globe Set verwendet habe.
Der kleine Junge, die Geschenke und der Weihnachtsbaum sind aus dem Secret Santa Stempelset. Und natürlich auch der Santa. Der schaut eigentlich hinter dem Baum hervor. Ich habe den Baum beim Abstempeln abgedeckt, dann per Hand den Bart ein wenig nach rechts verbreitert und so kann er nun von außen durchs Fenster sehen. Santa scheint es nämlich wie mir zu gehen - er findet es viel schöner, anderen beim Auspacken der Geschenke zuzusehen, als selbst welche auszupacken (bekommt Santa eigentlich auch Geschenke zu Weihnachten?).
Für den Mechanismus, der Santa seitlich bewegt, habe ich die längere der Trifold Slider Stanzen benutzt. Zuerst wollte ich links noch ein Rentier hinzufügen, aber das wäre vom Baum verdeckt worden, also habe ich darauf verzichtet.
And here's a close-up of the scene inside the card. I did the wall the same way I did the fireplace. Into the wall I've cut a hole and put the Classic Window over it. The familiy living in this house wanted longer curtains so I've cut the ones coming in the Take the Stage die set, cut off the tops and used my Copics to add some depth along the embossed lines. For the scene inside the window I've used the trees and hills from the Mountain High set. There's also a hill in front of the trees for which I've used one of the dies from the Scenic Snow Globe set.
The little boy, the gifts and tree are from the Secret Santa stamp set. And so is Santa. Originally he's peaking from behind the tree. Here I've covered the tree when stamping the image, hand drew the beard a little wider and now he's able to peak through the window. Santa seems to be like me - he's enjoying watching others opening their gifts way more than opening hiw own (does Santa get gifts on christmas?).
For the mechanism that makes Santa slide I've used the longer one of the Trifold Slider dies. First I had planned to add a reindeer coming from the left but it would have been covered by the tree so I've skipped that idea.
