Für die FB-Gruppe von Stamping-Fairies habe ich heute diese Karte gemacht. Aber nicht nur das - es gibt wieder eine Stamping-Fairies Blog! Ich kann Euch nicht sagen, wie sehr ich mich freue! Sie mag etwas unruhig wirken, dafür gibt es aber auch viel zu entdecken.

I've made this card to share in the Stamping-Fairies FB Group today. But not only that - there's a new Stamping-Fairies Blog and I can't tell how happy I am! It may look a bit messy at first sight but on the other hand there's lots to discover.
Ich habe hier das Picture Perfect Stempelset von MFT eingeweiht. Ich fand das auf den ersten Blick klasse - und war überrascht, wie groß die Motive sind. Und weil ich mich nicht für eines entscheiden konnte, haben es gleich alle auf meine Karte geschafft. Dafür habe ich sie aufeinander und in verschiedenen Winkeln maskiert und gestempelt.
Ich wollte den Eindruck eines "auf den Tisch geworfenen" Fotostapels erwecken. Damit das ganze nicht zu unruhig wird habe ich zum Colorieren nur verschiedene Grautöne, ein wenig rosa sowie blau für den Hintergrund benutzt. So hat das ganze doch irgendwie einen einheitlichen Look.
Here I've used the Picture Perfect stamp set by MFT for the first time. I just loved it at first sight - and was surprised how big those images are. And since I couldn't decide which one to use first I've simply used them all for this card and masked them on top of each other, stamping them in different angles.
I wanted to create the look of a pile of photos, "thrown on a table". To not create a colorful messy look I've only used different types and shades of greys, some pink and blue for the background. Now it still looks like one unit.
Natürlich durfte auch ein Text nicht fehlen. Ich hatte erst überlegt, das Wort friends aus dem fertigen Hintergrund zu stanzen und mit der Eclipse Technik wieder einzusetzen. Als ich dann aber probehalber ein aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanztes Friends aufgelegt habe, gefiel mir der Look doch. Es wird ja nicht zu viel der Motive verdeckt.
Für den Rest des Textes habe ich dann entschieden, ihn schwarz auf Vellum zu embossen. Durch das Vellum kann man die Motivteile darunter immer noch erkennen. Der Text ist aus dem Stempelset Sweet Forest Friends und für meinen Zweck ein wenig abgeändert. Das friends wird natürlich eigentlich mit gestempelt, und "when friends gather" steht zusammen in der zweiten Zeile. Um das gestempelte friends durch ein gestanztes ersetzen zu können, habe ich die Anordnung der Worte ein wenig geändert - dank des Stempeltools ja kein Problem mehr.
Of course this card needed some kind of text. First I had planned to die cut the word friends from the background and put it back in using the Eclipse Technique. But when I put one die cut from black cardstock onto the card, just to see what it looks like, I really liked it. It's not covering up too much of the images.
For the rest of the tet I've decided to black heat emboss it onto Vellum. Through the Vellum you can still see the parts of the images underneath. The saying is from the Sweet Forest Friends stamp set and I've re-arranged it a bit for my card. Of course the word friends gets stamped with the saying as well, and "when friends gather" builds the second line. To substitute the stamped word with a die cut one I've changed the arrangements of the words a bit - no big deal anymore thanks to those stamp tools.
