Es ist Zeit für eine neue Sketch-Inspiration beim Stempeleinmaleins! Das ist meine Karte - ich habe den Sketch einfach um 90 Grad im Uhrzeigersinn gedreht, so dass er für meine Hochkant-Karte passte.

It's time for a new inspirational sketch over at Stempeleinmaleins. This is the card I made - and to make the sketch go with the vision I had in mind and the images I wanted to use I simply turned it 90 degrees clockwise.
Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich Euch ja bereits eine Karte mit dem Simple Stripes Backdrop von LawnFawn gezeigt - und schon erwähnt, dass ich so ja zwei Hintergründe erhalte. Hier habe ich den zweiten verwendet, denn den wegzuwerfen wäre ja doch zu schade.
So ganz hat aber das Rot im Hintergrund nicht zu meiner Coloration gepasste - normalerweise coloriere ich zuerst und suche dazu passend die Papiere aus. Aber mit einer etwas kleiner zugeschnittenen Lage Vellum, die ich auf den gestreiften Hintergrund geklebt habe, passt es dann doch. Das Vellum habe ich nur unter dem Motiv sowie unter der kleinen Perle rechts aufgeklebt, um den Kleber zu verstecken. Oh, und durch das letzte "la" wird es auch noch gehalten, da das ein wenig übersteht.
A little ago I already shared a card with the Simple Stripes Backdrop by LawnFawn - and metioned that I'll use the other one later because you end up with two backgrounds, at least the way I used it, and throwing one of them away would be a shame!
The red in the background didn't go 100 % with my coloring - I usually color my images first and then pick the cardstock that matches the best. So I've put a layer of vellum, cut about 1/2 Inch smaller than the background, and put it on top. That toned the red down and it went way better with my poinsettia. I only put the glue under the area that's covered by the image and under that one small pearl on the right to keep it invisible. Oh, and the last "la" hangs a bit over the edge of the vellum and holds it down as well.
Die tollen Ilexblätter und die Weihnachtsstern-Blüte sind aus dem Vintage Poinsettia Stempelset von WhimsyStamps. Und ich habe hier seit langem Mal wieder zu meinen ZIGs gegriffen. Ich dachte, der Watercolor-Look würde perfekt für die Motive passen. Und wenn schon, denn schon, habe ich auch gleich noch No-Line Coloring gemacht. Dafür habe ich das Motiv mit dem No-Line Coloring Stempelkissten vin InkOn3 abgestempelt - nach dem Übermalen blieben hier die Blattadern sichtbar, was natürlich super ist.
Nach dem Colorieren habe ich die Motive per Hand ausgeschnitten und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. Und weil ich schon dabei war, habe ich sie auch auf das Vellum gespritzt.
Die überstehenden Teile der Motive habe ich weggeschnitten.
The great holly leaves and the poinsettia are from the Vintage Poinsettia stamp set by WhimsyStamps. And since a long time I brought out my ZIGs or this card. I thought, the watercolor look would go great with those vintage images. Well, and when I'm already leaving my comfort zone I might do it right and also did some no-line coloring. I stamped the images with the no-line coloring ink pad by InkOn3 - after going over the image with the watercolors, the details on the leaves and bloom stayed visible, which I really like.
After the coloring had dried I've fussy cut the images and then spritzed some white acrylic paint over it. And while I was at it I also added some to the vellum.
I cut off the parts of the images that hung over the edge of the card.
Im Sketch ist recht viel Text eingezeichnet - gut, ich hatte da eine Idee. Zuerst habe ich einen Teil eines Stempels aus dem Fa La La Stempelset von Kaisercraft weiß auf das Vellum embosst. Eigentlich steht unter dem Text auch noch das Fa La La, aber dafür hatte ich eine andere Idee.
Ich habe dafür einen der Stempel aus dem Handlettered Holiday Greetings Stempelset von MFT verwendet und golden auf weißen Cardstock embosst. Das La La habe ich doppelt gestempelt - und ja, ich hatte die ganze Zeit das Lied im Ohr. ;) Ich habe jede Silbe per Hand ausgeschnitten und dann auf das Vellum geklebt.
Zum Schluss habe ich die weißen Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.
There is pretty much text drawn in the sketch - okay, I had an idea. First I white heat embossed a part of one of the stamps from the Fa La La stamp set by Kaisercraft onto the vellum. Originally there's also the Fa La La included in this stamp, but I had something else in mind.
I used one of the stamps from the Handlettered Holiday Greetings stamp set by MFT and golden heat embossed it onto white cardstock. I stamped the La La twice - and yes, I was singing this song in my head all the time while making this card. ;) I cut out each syllable by hand and glued them onto the vellum.
In the end I added the white pearls to my card.
