Und da der 01.01. dieses Jahr auf einen Samstag fällt, gibt es heute die erste Stempeleinmaleins-Anleitung im neuen Jahr: eine Drapery Fold Card, oder auch Gardinen-Karte.

And since the first day of this new year is a saturday, we from Stempeleinmaleins are sharing our very first tutorial of this year: a Drapery Fold Card.
Ich gestehe, Karten mit solchen Folds, die kaum Platz für ein gestempeltes Motiv lassen, fallen mir immer ein wenig schwer. Aber für diese Karte kann man super doppelseitiges Designpapier verwenden, da auch von der Rückseite ein wenig zu sehen ist. Und als ich da durch meinen Vorrat gegangen bin, fiel mir dieses wirklich schon alte Papier in die Hände. Und durch das tolle Muster braucht die Karte eigentlich gar kein Motiv, finde ich.
Meinen Teil mit den drapery folds habe ich erst grün, dann schwarz gemattet und anschließend alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
I have to admit, I'm always having a hard time making those cards with folds, that leave nearly no room for a stamped image. But for this card you can wonderfully use some of those double sided papers, since some of the back will be visible as well. And when I went through my doublesided papers I came across this really old sheet of patterned paper. I think, due to the great pattern this card really doesn't need a image.
I matted the area with the drapery folds first with green, then with black cardstock and glued everything onto a white note card.
Mein doppelseitiges Papier ist auf einer Seite einfarbig dunkelblau, auf der anderen Seite ist die Grundfarbe ein helles Blau-Grau, auf dem sich Kreise in grün, dunkelblau und weiß befinden. Diese gemusterte Seite habe ich für die Oberseite verwendet und das Papier nach dem Falten auf ebenfalls Grau-Blauen Cardstock geklebt, der ein klein wenig heller als das Dunkelblau auf der Rückseite des Designpapieres ist.
Im Gegensatz zur Anleitung habe ich mein Designpapier höher zugeschnitten, so dass es eine größere Fläche auf der Karte abdeckt. Wenn schon, denn schon, habe ich mir gedacht.
Auf den Bereich, in dem der Cardstock im Hintergrund unter den Folds sichtbar ist, habe ich einen Gruß aufgebracht. Dafür habe ich das Alles - Teil eines Stempels von CraftEmotions - mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Cardstock gestempelt. Darunter habe ich ein Gute, gestanzt aus grünem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. Da die Falten im Designpapier ein wenig aufstehen, habe ich das Wort Gute viermal gestanzt und die Stanzteile aufeinander geklebt, um auch hier ein wenig Dimension auf die Karte zu bekommen. Um den Text habe ich ein paar weiße Perlen aufgeklebt.
My doublesided paper is dark blue on one side, on the other it is a light grey-ish blue color with circles in green, dark blue and white. I used this side with the circles as my top side. After I had folded the paper I glued it onto a piece of also grey-ish blue cardstock, that is just slightly lighter than the dark blue back of my patterned paper.
I made one change, compared to our tutorial: I cut my patterned paper higher so it would cover a larger area of my card. If you do something, do it big! ;)
Under the folds there's an area where you can see more of the grey-ish blue cardstock, here I added a sasying. I stamped a "all" with black ink directly onto the cardstock and completed the text with a die cut "the best". I've die cut it from green cardstock and since the pleats stand up a bit I stacked four die cut words to add some dimension to the text as well. Then I added a few white pearls next to the text.
Ein wenig Deko brauchte meine Karte dann aber natürlich doch. Dafür habe ich im oberen Bereich in Stück grünes Satinband um den Cardstock gelegt und auf der Rückseite befestigt.
Auf das Band habe ich dann mit 3D Tape einen weißen Kreis, darauf einen etwas kleineren grünen Kreis und wiederum darauf ein blaues Herz geklebt. Durch zwei kleine Löcher in dem Herz habe ich dünnes grünes Organzaband gezogen und oben zur Schleife gebunden. Und auch hier habe ich drei weiße Perlen aufgeklebt.
Of course my card needed a little bit of decoration. So I wrapped some green satin ribbon around the cardstdock and glued it down on the back.
Onto the band I attached a white circle with foam tape, then added a slightly smaller green circle and a blue heart. Through two small holes, that I punched into the heart, I've put some green organdy ribbon and tied it to a bow on the top of the heart. And I added three more white pearls here.
