Mit meinen Weihnachtskarten bin ich quasi durch - deswegen denke ich schon mal eine Woche weiter und mache ein paar Neujahrskarten. Und eine davon zeige ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog.

I have finished all my christmas cards, so I'm thinking one week further and am working on a few New Year's cards. I'm sharing one of them over at the Stampcorner Blog today.
Auf meiner Karte kam das süße Schweinchen, das das December Daily von Tag #9 war, aber natürlich nun regulär im Shop zu bestellen ist. Und ich finde, das macht sich super als Glücksbringer!
Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks etwas kleiner als meinen Kartenrohling zugeschnitten und mit einem Punkte-Prägefolder mit unregelmäßigen Punkten embosst. Dann habe ich, passend zum Schweinchen, etwas pinkfarbene Metallic Watercolor darüber gespritzt.
On my card I'm using the cute pig, that was the december daily of day #9, but of course it's available for the regular price over in the shop. And I think, it makes a great lucky charm!
For the background I cut a piece of black cardstock a bit smaller than my card base and then dry embossed some irregular dots into it using an embossing folder. Then I flicked some pink metallic watercolor onto the cardstock, matching the color of the piggy.
Das Schweinchen habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte gestempelt und dann mit Copics coloriert.
Das große Kleeblatt im Hintergrund ist aus dem Stempelset Glücksset von Stampcorner. Ich habe es mit Versafine Clair Shady Lane und dann nochmal nur den äußeren Bereich mit Rain Forest gestempelt. Und da man nie genug Glück auf einer Karte haben kann, habe ich noch zwei Pilze mit dem Glückssymbole Stanzenset von CraftEmotions gestanzt. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Punkte habe ich dann mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Den habe ich auch für die Highlights auf dem Schweinchen und die Linien auf dem Kleeblatt verwendet.
Quer über die Karte habe ich einen Streifen weißen Cardstocks geklebt und den als Hintergrund für meinen Text benutzt. Das Viel Glück ist mit der Viel Glück Stanze dreimal aus normalem schwarzen Cardstock und einmal aus schwarz-silberfarbenem Glittercardstock gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt.
I stamped the pig with black ink and then colored him with Copics.
The large clover in the background is from the Glücksset stamp set by Stampcorner. I stamped it with Versafine Clair Shady Lane and then only the outer areas of the petals with Rain Forest. And since there can never be enough luck on a card I also added two mushrooms. I stamped them using dies from the Glückssymbole die set by CraftEmotions from white cardstock, then colored them with Copics and added the dots with a white gel pen. I also used this for the highlights on the piggy and the lines on the clover.
Across the card I adhered a strip of white cardstock that I used as the backdrop for my text. I die cut the words "good luck" using the Viel Glück die three times from regular black cardstock and once from black and silver glitter cardstock and stacked them with the glitter layer as the top one.
Zum Aufkleben der Deko kam wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz. Das Kleeblatt ist direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, die nicht sichtbaren Enden der Blätter habe ich abgeschnitten und rechts hinter dem Schweinchen aufgeklebt. Das und der weiße Cardstockstreifen sind mit dünnem, die Pilze dann mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.
Und weil der obere Teil der Karte ein wenig leer aussah, habe ich hier noch ein "frohes neues Jahr" aus dem Stempelset Kleine Worte 2 aufgeklebt. Ich habe es schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, den Streifen in drei Teile geschnitten und ebenfalls mit 3D Tape auf der Karte befestigt.
To adhere the decorations I used foam tape again. The clover I glued directly onto the background, cutting of the ends of the petals that will be covered by the pig, then glued them behind the right side of it. The pig and the white cardstock strip are adhered with thinner foam tape, to attach the mushrooms I used thicker foam tape.
And since the top of the card looked a bit empty, I added a "happy new year" text here. I stamped it black onto white cardstock, cut the text into three pieces and attached them using foam tape again.
