Nach der Winter- und Weihnachtspause startet heute bei Stampcorner die erste Challenge des Jahres 2023. Das Thema diesmal lautet "Blautöne". Natürlich dürft Ihr andere Farben zusätzlich verwenden, Blau sollte aber im Vordergrund stehen. Meine Karte ist fast monochrom geworden - und ganz knapp an einer One Layer Card vorbei. Einlagiger wird es bei mir nicht. ;)

After our winter and christmas break we are starting the first Stampcorner challenge of the year 2023 today. We picked "blues" as our theme. Of course you can use additional colors, but blue should be in the focus. I made a nearly monchrome card - and a nearly one layer one. It doesn't get closer to it than that with me... ;)
Mir war mal wieder danach, mit Polychromos auf farbigem Cardstock zu colorieren. Und ja, mein Cardstock war natürlich blau.
Am Himmel habe ich - allerdings erst nach dem Colorieren - drei Sterne aus dem Stempelset Regenbogen mit silberfarbenem Glitter-Embossingpulver aufembosst und anschließend silberne Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.
I felt like doing some coloring on colored cardstock with my Polychromos again. And yes, of course I used some blue cardstock.
Onto the sky I heat embossed - after I had done the coloring - three stars with a silver glitter embossing powder, then spritzed some silver metallic watercolor onto the cardstock.
Der Bär ist ebenfalls aus dem Set Regenbogen. Ich habe ihn mit hellgrauer Tinte auf den Cardstock gestempelt und dann maskiert. Dann habe ich den Regenbogen aus dem selben Set dahinter gestempelt. Der Regenbogen ist eigentlich kleiner und auf ihm sitzt ein Bär. Ich habe nur die beiden Enden links und rechts abgestempelt und den Bogen dann frei Hand verlängert.
Wie schon gesagt habe ich Polychromos zum Colorieren verwendet. Dabei habe ich viele Blautöne benutzt, der Stern ist türkisfarben coloriert. Und für die drei Bögen des Regenbogens habe ich grün, türkis und blau verwendet.
Das Band am Stern und die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht, Nase, Augen und Mund habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt.
Für die Wolken habe ich eine der Wolkenstencils von MFT auf den Cardstock gelegt, den Wolkenrand mit einem Bleistift nachgemalt und sie dann mit Polychromos gefüllt. Dabei habe ich mich von weiß am oberen Rand der Wolken zur Originalfarbe des blauen Cardstocks gearbeitet.
Für den Text habe ich - passend zu den silber glitzernden Sternen am Himmel - mit der Viel Glück Stanze von Stampcorner die Worte aus silberfarbenem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und aufgeklebt.
The bear - and the stars in the sky and the rainbow - are from the stamp set Regenbogen. I stamped it with light grey ink onto the cardstock, then masked it off. Then I stamped the rainbow behind the bear. Since the rainbow is way smaller and there's a bear sitting on top of it, I only stamped the left and right ends and then finished the lines by hand.
As mentioned above, I did use Polychromos to color the images. I went with lots of different tones of blue, the star is colored in aqua. For the three arches of the rainbow I went with green, aqua and blue.
The ribbon on the star and the highlights are made with a white gelpen, to re-draw the nose, eyes and mouth I used a black fineliner.
To draw the clouds I used one of the cloud stencils by MFT, traced the shape with a pencil onto my cardstock and then filled the clouds with my Polychromos. I started with white on the top edge and then worked my way to the original color of the cardstock.
The text means "good luck". To make it match the glittery silver stars in the sky I die cut it from silver glitter cardstock and then glued it onto the card.
Zum Schluss habe ich den Cardstock nur noch auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt - und sogar auf Glitzersteine oder ähnliches habe ich verzichtet. Trotzdem finde ich die Karte total stimmig.
To finish the card I only attached the cardstock to a white note card - I even didn't add any bling to it, because I just didn't feel like the card needed any.
