Wo rennt bitte die Zeit hin - es ist schon Ende April, und somit Zeit, Euch ein paar Sneaks auf das Mai-Release von Stampcorner zu geben. Damit starte ich heute mit dieser maritimen Karte. Da ich demnächst ein paar Tage mit Freundinnen nach Rostock fahre, ist das genau das richtige, um sich auf den "hohen Norden" einzustimmen.

Where is time going - it's nearly end of april already, and that means, it's time to share some sneaks of the may release by Stampcorner. I am starting with this maritime card. And since I will go on a girls trip to the german coast with a few friends soon, this is exactly the right way to prepare for the days at the sea.
Diese drei Häuser kommen alle in einem Set. Und diese tollen Strandhäuser brauchen natürlich den passenden Hintergrund.
Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxides eingefärbt - Tumbled Glass von der oberen Kante abwärts, Gathered Twigs von der unteren aufwärts. Etwas unterhalb der Mitte habe ich beide Farben ganz leicht ineinander gewischt. Dann habe ich, vor allem auf den braun gewischten Bereich, feine Wasserspritzer aufgetragen, um ihm eine leiche Sand-Struktur zu verleihen.
These three houses all come in one set. And those beautiful beach houses of course need a background that fits the maritime theme.
Here I inked up a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide - Tumbled Glass from the upper edge downwards, Gathered Twigs from the bottom edge upwards. A bit under the middle of the cardstock I lightly blended both colors into each other. Then I flicked some very fine drops of water onto the cardstock, mainly onto the brown inked area to give it a sandy structure.
Die Häuser habe ich alle auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Das rot colorierte Haus in der Mitte hat eigentlich breite Streifen, die in der Farbe gestempelt werden, die man eben zum Stempeln verwendet. Da ich zwar schwarze Outlines, aber keine schwarzen Streifen wollte, habe ich dieses Haus mit heller Tinte gestempelt, das Haus quasi no-line coloriert und später die Outlines des Hauses und der Tür mit einem schwarzen Fineliner wieder nachgemalt. Das Herz im Haus links, das Paddel, das Moin im Giebel des mittleren Hauses und auch der Schwimmring sind einzelne Motive aus dem Set, die ich teilweise direkt vor dem Colorieren aufgestempelt, teilweise nach dem Stempeln und Colorieren ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt habe. Unter dem Schwimmring wird übrigens eigentlich ein Anker auf die Fassade gestempelt.
Anschließend habe ich die Häuser ausgeschnitten und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Zwischen die Häuser habe ich mit braunen Copics ein paar kleine Punkte als Schatten aufgetupft. Und dann habe ich noch die Möwen aus dem Stempelset Matrosen-Freunde 1 zwischen den Häusern an den Himmel gestempelt.
I stamped all the houses onto white cardstock and colored them with Copics. The red colored house has some wide stripes, that usually get stamped in the color that you use to stamp the outlines. Well, I wanted black outlines, but no black stripes, so I stamped this house with light ink, colored everything no-line and then re-drew the outlines with a black fineliner again. The heart in the house on the left, the paddle, the text on the red house and the life saver are individual images from the set. I partly stamped them directly onto the houses before coloring them, some I stamped individually, cut them out after I had colored them and then attached them to the houses. On the red house an anchor gets stamped, that I replaced with the life saver on my card.
Then I cut the houses out and adhered them to the background. With some brown Copics I added some fine dots as shadows between the houses. And then I stamped some flying sea birds onto the sky between the roofs.
Natürlich brauchte meine Karte auch einen Text. Im Set ist ein "Ein Tag am Meer" enthalten, das hat aber vom Platz her einfach nicht mehr auf meine Karte gepasst. Also habe ich stattdessen den "Das Meer hat gerufen" Text aus dem Set Auszeit mit weißem Embossingpulver auf blauen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich etwas rot-weißes Twine um den unteren Teil der Karte gewickelt, den Cardstockstreifen mit dem Text daran angebunden und als Deko noch einen Muschel-Charm mit festgebunden.
Ganz zum Schluss habe ich den Cardstock noch schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Of course my card needed a text. There's a "a day at the ocean" text included in this set, but that simply didn't fit onto my card design anymore. So instead I've white heat embossed a "the sea is calling" text onto a strip of blue cardstock. I wrapped some red and white twine around the bottom of my background, tied the text to it and added a little shell shaped charm.
To finish the card, I just matted the cardstock black and adhered everything to a white note card.
