Ein Hut mit Überraschung

Ich habe festgestellt, dass die Werke, die ich diesen Monat auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige, alle recht ernst sind - und ernst ist hier natürlich voll und ganz auf das süße Hippo Ernst von Oma Plott bezogen. Das heutige Werk bildet da keine Ausnahme, auch wenn sich Ernst hier erstmal noch ein wenig versteckt.

I realized, that the projects I am sharing this month over on the Stampcorner Blog, are all pretty ernst - serious. But Ernst is also a german name, and that's what the cute hippo by Oma Plott is named and what I am referring to. Today's box is no exception, even if Ernst is hiding at first here.

Ich habe hier eine runde, hohe Box gemacht und unten einen größeren Kreis aus schwarzem Cardstock aufgeklebt, um die Box wie einen Zylinder aussehen zu lassen. Für den Boden habe ich zwei der großen Kreise aufeinander geklebt, um die Box schön stabil zu machen.

I created a round, tall box from black cardstock and glued it onto a larger circle to make it look like a top-hat. I doubled up the largest circle to make the box a bit more sturdy.

Um den hohen Teil des Zylinders habe ich einen Streifen roten Cardstocks geklebt und darauf dann die Deko befestigt. Und weil rund fotografieren ja doch etwas schwierig ist, habe ich jetzt gleich mehrere Bilder für Euch.

I wrapped a strip of red cardstock around the tall part of the top-hat and then put my decorations on top. And since taking picture of a round object is quite hard I have a few pictures of those decorations for you.

In den Hintergrund habe ich ein großes Kleeblatt gesetzt. Das ist mit Memento Bamboo Leaves und einem Stempel aus dem Glücksset gestempelt, anschließend habe ich es ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt. Die untere Ecke des einen Blattes ist nach vorne gebogen und natürlich nicht festgeklebt, damit sich die Box auch öffnen lässt. In die Mitte des Kleeblatts habe ich ein kleines Herz, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, aufgeklebt.

Aus dem selben Stempelset ist der Text "eine Portion Glück". Ich habe nur die ersten beiden Worte - etwas auseinander geschoben - schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und auf den Hut geklebt. Das Wort Glück habe ich durch ein mit der Viel Glück Stanze gestanztes ersetzt. Ich habe hier drei Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks gestackt und obenauf ein Wort aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock geklebt. Ich habe das Wort gelayert, da es ja nicht ganz flach auf den Hut aufgeklebt und so stabiler ist. So kann es nicht aus Versehen verbogen werden. 

In the background I put a large clover. I stamped it with Memento Bamboo Leaves using a stamp from the Glücksset, then cut it out and glued it onto the hat. The bottom edge of one of the petals I bent forward and of course didn't glue it down so the box can still be opened. Into the center of the clover I put a little heart, cut from white cardstock.

From the same stamp set I used the "a dose of luck" text. I only stamped the first words - leaving a gap between them - with black ink onto white cardstock and adhered them to the hat. The word luck I replaced with a die cut word, made with the Viel Glück die set. I stacked three words cut from black cardstock and then put one cut from gold mirror cardstock on top. The word is not fully attached to the hat, by stacking it I made it more sturdy so it can't be bent accidentially.

Rechts neben das Wort Glück habe ich noch einen kleine "für Dich" Text aufgeklebt. Der ist wieder schwarz gestempelt, diesmal mit einem Stempel aus dem Ernst-Set. 

Auf dem Kleeblatt sitzt außerdem ein kleiner Marienkäfer, der Teil des neuen Glückwünsche-Stempels ist. Ich habe ihn mit Glossy Accents überzogen und mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Das befindet sich auch hinter dem kleinen für dich.

Als Deko habe ich dann drei Herz-Picks, gestanzt aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock, sowie einige goldene Pailetten hinzugefügt. 

To the right of the word luck I added a little "for you" text, stamped again with black ink.

On the clover I placed a little ladybug, that I covered with Glossy Accents and adhered it with thin foam tape. I also used that behind the for you text.

As decorations I added three heart picks, die cut from gold mirror cardstock, and some gold sequins.

Öffnet man die Box, dann zeigt sich auch Ernst. Der ist an einen Streifen Acetate geklebt, das ich innen am Hutrand angeklebt habe. Die Seitenteile der inneren Box sind nur etwa halb so hoch wie des Deckels. Zum Schließen kann man Ernst einfach nach hinten biegen - zieht man den Deckel ab, springt er von selbst nach oben.

When you open the box, little Ernst shows up. I attached him to a piece of acetate, that I adhered to the inside of the inner box. The sides of this inner box are only about half as tall as the lid. To close the box, Ernst can simply be bent down - when you open the box, he springs into an upright position.

Ernst habe ich mit Copics coloriert und Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift hinzugefügt. Dann habe ich ihn ausgeschnitten und dahinter einen der Scallop Circles, gestanzt aus grünem Cardstock, geklebt. Die beiden Teile sind wieder mit dünnem 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt.

Um den Folienstreifen ein wenig zu verdecken, habe ich etwas weißes Band mit goldener Kante darum- und vorne zur Schleife gebunden. Die stört übrigens beim Schließen/Öffnen der Box überhaupt nicht.

I colored Ernst with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen. Then I cut him out and put one of the Scallop Circles, die cut from green cardstock, behind him. I used thin foam tape again to put both pieces together. 

To hide the acetate strip a bit I put some white ribbon with golden edges around it and tied it to a bow. That bow is not hindering at all when closing/opening the box.

Die innere Box habe ich erst mit grünen Papierstreifen gefüllt und dann zwei kleine Schokokäfer hineingesetzt. Hier lässt sich auch prima etwas Geld mit dazupacken.

I first filled the inner box with green paper strip, then sat two little chocolate ladybugs onto it. You can easily put some money in here, too.
