Normalerweise habe ich immer schon eine recht klare Vorstellung von der Karte, die ich machen möchte. Ob das Ergebnis dann genauso ist oder nicht, variiert. Heute zeige ich Euch eine Karte, bei der ich mal komplett planlos rangegangen bin.

Usually I have a pretty clear idea of the card I want to make. The result may vary, but I am fine with that. Today I share a card with you, that I had absolutly no plan for when I started it.
Auch an mir ist der Hype um die Postage Collage Stanzen von WaffleFlower nicht vorüber gegangen, ich finde die klasse. Allerdings habe ich sie mir nicht gekauft, denn das A2 Format mag ich nicht so gerne und die Aufleger passen nie wirklich auf eine Din-formatige Karte. Und diese Stanze kann man auch nicht so einfach anpassen wie einen normalen Hintergrund. Ich bin mir sicher, dass es nur eine Frage der Zeit ist, bis eine europäische/deutsche Stempelfirma mit einer ähnlichen Stanze herauskommt, die auf das deutsche Format ausgelegt ist. Und dann werde wohl auch ich zuschlagen. Mit der Stanze von Waffle Flower habe ich bereits einige Karten gesehen, bei der die Briefmarkenplatte in einzelne Briefmarken zerlegt wurde. Na, und der Look lässt sich doch super mit einer der Briefmarkenstanzen, die wir sicher alle zu Hause haben, nachmachen.
Also I was not able to keep away from the hype around the Postage Collage dies by WaffleFlower, I love them. But I didn't buy them, because I don't like the A2 size, they never really fit a Din sized card. And with this design you can't simpy cut it smaller to fit your card base like you can a background. I am pretty sure that it's only a matter of time until a european/german stamp company comes out with a similar design, sized to fit a german standard card. And then most likely I will buy it.
But I've already seen several cards where the postage stamp plate is cut into individual stamps. Well, this look can easily be created using those postage dies that we surely all have at home.
Ich wollte unbedingt die Little Cow Agenda Stempel von MamaElephant einweihen. Nur Kühe fand ich zu langweilig, also habe ich noch ein paar Hasen aus den Sets Little Bunny Agenda bzw. Little Line Agenda gestempelt. Die habe ich dann coloriert und ausgeschnitten.
Mit Stanzen aus den Sets DinLang Postage und Postage Rectangles von Create a Smile habe ich drei kleine und zwei größere Briefmarken aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Deren Ränder habe ich mit Masking Tape abgedeckt und das Innere mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina gewischt.
Unter die einzelnen Motive habe ich jeweils ein graues Oval, gemacht mit den Shadows and Flowers Stanzen von Create a Smile und Oval Shadows von MFT, gesetzt und die Motive dann auf die Briefmarken geklebt.
Nun, dass ich mir noch keine der Postage Collage Stanzen gekauft habe hat mich nicht davon abgehalten, mir das Postage Collage Stempelset von WaffleFlower zu kaufen. Damit habe ich die Werte auf die einzelnen Briefmarken gestempelt. Ich habe die Briefmarken so arrangiert, wie ich sie später auf die Karte kleben wollte, und habe dann mit weiteren Stempeln aus dem Set die Briefmarken entwertet.
I really wanted to use the Little Cow Agenda stamps by MamaElephant. Only cows seemed a bit boring so I also stamped some bunnies from the Little Bunyn Agenda and the Little Line Agenda sets. I colored them all and cut them out.
Using dies from the sets DinLang Postage and Postage Rectangles by Create a Smile I die cut three small and two larger postage stamps from white cardstock, then covered the edges and inked the centers with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina.
Under the individual images I put small ovals, made with the Shadows and Flowers dies by Create a Smile and Oval Shadows by MFT. I put the images on top and then adhered them onto the stamps.
The fact that I haven't bought any of the Postage Collage dies didn't stop me from ordering the Postage Collage stamp set by WaffleFlower. I used this to stamp the value on each stamp. Then I arranged them exactly how I wanted them to be on my card later and used more stamps from the set to add the stamps from post office.
Nun brauchte ich einen Hintergrund zu meiner Karte - nur was passt zu Kühen und Hasen? Mir fiel nur Bauernhof ein, dafür sind es aber fast ein paar zu wenig verschiedene Tiere. Da kam mir die Idee, eine Stalltür als Hintergrund zu gestalten.
Mit der Barn Wood Planks von HoneyBeeStamps habe ich mehrere Holzlatten aus hell-rostrotem Cardstock gestanzt und anschließend ein Distress Ink Barn Door Stempelkissen direkt darüber gezogen. Das bringt das tolle Holzmuster, das die Stanzen beim Schneiden in den Cardstock embossen, besser zur Geltung. Damit die Tür nicht zu neu aussieht, habe ich noch einige Wassertropfen und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.
Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich einen Rahmen geschnitten und auf die Holzpanele, die ich hochkant angeordnet habe, geklebt. Dann habe ich einen Streifen weißen Cardstocks mittig quer darüber geklebt - der verdeckt auch die Nahtstelle der zusammengesetzten Holzlatten, die sonst zu kurz gewesen wären - und zwei weitere Cardstockstreifen schräg aufgeklebt. Der äußere Rahmen ist mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.
Now I needed a background for my card - but what works with cows and bunnies. All I could think of was a farm, but for that there aren't enough different animals. So I had the idea of creating a barn door for my background.
Using the Barn Wood Planks dies by HoneyBeeStamps I die cut several wood planks from light rusty-red cardstock and swiped an Distress Ink Barn Door ink pad directly over the cardstock. That brings out the great wood pattern, that the die cuts into the cardstock, better. To make sure the door won't look too new I added a few drops of water and spatters with white acrylic paint onto the panels.
I die cut a frame from white cardstock and glued it on top of the wood panels, that I had arranged in a vertical orientation. Then I glued a strip of white cardstock across the center of the cardstock - this also hides the seem where two planks are put together since they were too short for a portrait card - and added two strips at an angle. The outer frame I adhered with foam tape.
Ich war mir sicher, dass ich irgendeinen Text mit "Barn" habe - ist auch so, aber der war viel zu groß. Also habe ich einfach ein Special Delivery aus dem Special Delivery Set von LawnFawn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mittig zerschnitten. Das kleine Hugs Inside, das ich auch gleich mit embosst habe, ist aus dem Postage Collage Set von WaffleFlower. Die Textstreifen habe ich dann zwischen den Briefmarken, die ich auf die Tür geklebt habe, gesetzt.
I was sure that I had some text with "barn" in it - I have, but it was way too large. So I simply used a special delivery stamp from the Special Delivery stamp set by LawnFawn, white heat embossed it onto black cardstock and cut it apart. The smaller Hugs Inside, that I also embossed white, is from the Postage Collage set by WaffleFlower. I put the text strips between the stamps, that I had glued onto the background.
Die großen Briefmarken habe ich direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, die Texte und die kleineren Briefmarken sind mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.
Auf Deko habe ich verzichtet, weil auf der Karte ja doch schon so einiges los ist. Aber ich konnte einfach nicht anders, als auf das Schwänzenchen des Hasens, der kopfüber im Blumentopf steckt, einen kleinen Pompom zu kleben... ;)
Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
The large stamps I glued directly onto the background, to adhere the texts and the smaller stamps I used thin foam tape.
Since there's already a lot going on on this card I decided to not add any embellishments. But I just couldn't resist and glued a little pompom onto the tail of the bunny, that's stuck heads down in the flower pot.... ;)
Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.
