Heute ist Welt-Tag des Oceans - und passend dazu habe ich eine Karte gemacht. Und da ist ganz schön was los im Meer!

It's World Ocean Day today - so I have a card with an ocean theme to share with you. And there is a lot going on there in the sea!
Hier habe ich den Desert Canyon Backdrop aus dem letzten Release von LawnFawn benutzt und kurzerhand in meine Meereslandschaft integriert. Das ausgestanzte Teil habe ich um 180 Grad gedreht und etwas versetzt als Steinformation hinter die anderen Felsen geklebt. Gestanzt habe ich den Hintergrund aus cremefarbenem Cardstock und mit Distress Oxide gewischt. Die beiden hügeligen Meeresbodenlagen habe ich mit Antique Linen und Scorched Timber gewischt, die Felsen jeweils mit Scorched Timber, Gathered Twigs, Saltwater Taffy und ein wenig Abandoned Coral. Alle Teile habe ich mit weißer Acrylfarbe und den Sandboden zusätzlich ein wenig mit Scorched Timber bespritzt.
Das Wasser hinter den Felsen ist mit einem Stück weißen Cardstocks gemacht, den ich mit Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon und Uncharted Mariner gewischt habe. Dann habe ich auch hier etwas weiße Acrylfarbe und einige Wassertropfen aufgespritzt.
Auf das Wasser habe ich dann einige kleine Fischschwärme aus den Sets Mermaid for You und Mermaid For You Flip-Flop mit hellblauer Tinte aufgestempelt.
Die im Desert Backdrop in den Boden integrierten Pflanzen habe ich weggeschnitten und die Löcher mit Motiven überdeckt.
Here I used the Desert Canyon Backdrop from the latest release by LawnFawn and turned it into an underwater scene. I turned the cut out pieces 180 degrees and put it back in, moving it down and to the right to create another rock behind the larger ones. I die cut the backdrop from cream colored cardstock and inked it with Distress Oxides. For the two wavy sand layers I used Antique Linen and Scorched Timber, the rocks are inked with Scorched Timber, Gathered Twigs, Saltwater Taffy and a bit of Abandoned Coral. I splattered some white acrylic paint onto all the pieces and just onto the sand also some of the Scorched Timber.
The water behind the rocks is made from some white cardstock that I had inked with Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon and Uncharted Mariner. Again I added splatters of white acrylic paint and also some droplets of water.
Onto the water I stamped some small schools of fish using stamps from the sets Mermaid For You and Mermaid For You Flip-Flop and light blue ink.
I cut off the plants that are integrated in the grounds of the Desert Backdrop and covered the holes with images.
In meiner Szene tummeln sich viele verschiedene Meeresbewohner zwischen Wasserpflanzen und dem ein oder anderen sonstigen Element.
In my scene a lot of seaworld creatures are swimming around between some underwater plants and a few other elements.
Auf der rechten Seite sieht man eine Qualle aus dem Set So Jelly, Mama-Seepferd mit Kind aus den Sets Seahorsin' Around und Mermaid For You. Außerdem liegt hier der versunkene Schatz eines Piraten aus dem Set Ahoy Matey.
Die Fische auf der Karte sind aus allen möglichen Sets zusammengesammelt, nämlich: Du-Nuh, Du-Nuh Flip-Flop, Keep On Swimming, Ocean Shell-fie und You Are Sublime.
Alle Elemente auf der Karte sind mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.
On the right side there's the jelly fish from the So Jelly set, mama seahorse with her kid from the sets Seahorsin' Around and Mermaid For You. And there's also the sunken treasure of a pirate from the Ahoy Matey set.
The fish on this card come from all kind of sets: Du Nuh, Du-Nuh Flip-Flop, Keep on Swimming, Ocean Shell-fie and You Are Sublime.
I colored all elements on this card with Copics and cut them out with my scissors.
Auf der linken Seite der Karte steht eine Sandburg aus dem Set Life is Good. Hier ist auch eine weitere Qualle, Papa Seepferd, ebenfalls aus dem Set Seahorsin' Around, ein großer Seestern aus dem Set So Jelly und viele weitere kleine Fische.
Zwischen alle Elemente habe ich einige Muscheln aus den Sets Life is Good und Mermaid For You sowie einige Steine aus ebenfalls schon erwähnten Sets verteilt.
Und dann durften natürlich Pflanzen nicht fehlen. Die meisten sind aus dem Set You Are Sublime, nur die ohne Outline sind aus dem Set Mermaid For You. Die werden vollflächig gestempelt - ic habe jeweils zwei Farbtöne benutzt um den Korallen und dem Seegras einen Farbverlauf zu geben.
On the left side of the card there's a sand castle from the Life is Good Set. And there's also another jelly fish, papa seahorse, also from the set Seahorsin' Around, a large star fish from the set So Jelly and more small fish.
Between all the critters I put a few shells from the sets Life is Good and Mermaid For You and also some small stones from sets I already named.
And of course there had to be some plants. Most are from the You Are Sublime set, only the ones without outlines come from the Mermaid For You set. Those are solid stamps and I used two tones of ink to give the corals and seeweed a bit of a gradiant.
Beim Text bin ich dann fremdgegangen - ich wollte unbedingt einen mit dem Wort "ocean" und habe da in meinen LawnFawn-Stempeln nichts gefunden. Also habe ich diesen von Waffle Flower verwendet und mit weißem Embossingpulver direkt auf das Wasser embosst.
I really wanted to use a text with the word ocean in it and wasn't able to find one in my LawnFawn stamps. So I used this one by WaffleFlower instead and white heat embossed it directly onto the water.
Da der cremefarbene Rand des Desert Backdrop hier natürlich nicht so ganz gepasst hat, habe ich noch einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames aus türkisfarbenem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und als Rahmen aufgeklebt. Passend dazu habe ich dann auch einige der Motive ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert.
Zwischen den beiden Felsenlagen befindet sich 3D Tape und auch hinter den Motiven in der vordersten Reihe der Szene sind damit hinterlegt.
Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Since the cream colored frame around the Desert Backdrop didn't fit my scene I die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from aqua glitter cardstock and glued it onto as a frame. Then I used Stickles to also add some glitter to some of the images.
I put foam tape between the two layers of large rocks and also behind the images in the very front of my scene.
Then I adhered my scene to a white note card.
