LawnFawnatics Challenge #181

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

In letzter Zeit bin ich shoppingtechnisch - auch wegen des Stempelmekkas - ein wenig, hüstel, eskaliert. Und so habe ich hier jede Menge neuer Stempel und Stanzen, die eingeweiht werden wollen. Einige davon habe ich auf dieser Karte verwendet, die ich für die aktuelle LawnFawnatics Challenge "Awesome Autumn" gemacht habe.

I have been on a shopping spree lately, also because of Stempelmekka, the one german stamp fair that's worth visiting. And now I have tons of new stamps and dies, that want to be used. Some of them I used on this card, that I made for the current LawnFawnatics challenge "Awesome Autumn". 

Da ich auch eine Bestellung bei LawnFawn direkt aufgegeben habe - dem süßen Mäuse-Gratisset konnte ich nicht widerstehen - und mir dabei die Small Stitched Leaves und die Stitched Leaves bestellt habe, wollte ich sie auf einer Herbstkarte natürlich benutzen. Für die von mir geplante Szene waren sie aber zu groß. Also habe ich erstmal den Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Die Blätter habe ich mit besagten Stanzensets aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Distress Oxide Antique Linen, Tea Dye, Crackling Campfire und Vintage Photo gewischt. Außerdem habe ich goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Die Blätter habe ich dann entlang des Rahmens zusammengesetzt. Die Blätter links befinden sich direkt auf dem Leafy Tree Rahmen, zwischen den und die restlichen Blätter habe ich dann noch einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, gesetzt.

Und weil meine eigentliche Szene nicht sofort sichtbar sein sollte und ich außerdem eine Klebefläche für meinen Text brauchte, habe ich den Leafy Tree Rahmen mit Vellum hinterlegt.

I also had placed an order with LawnFawn - I just couldn't resist the cute free stamp set with the christmas mice. In that order I (also) got the Small Stitched Leaves and the Stitched Leaves, and of course those were perfect for an autumn card. But they were too large for the scene I had in mind. So I first die cut the Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape from dark brown cardstock.

The leaves I die cut from white cardstock, using the mentioned die sets, then inked them with Distress Oxide Antique Linen, Tea Dye, Crackling Campfire and Vintage Photo. I also splattered some gold metallic watercolor onto them.

The leaves I arranged along the frame. The leaves on the left I glued directly onto the Leafy Tree frame, between the other leaves and the frame I put one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames, cut from black cardstock.

And since I didn't want my scene to be visible right away and also needed a place to adhere my text to, I backed the Leafy Tree frame with vellum.

Auf dem Vellum konnte ich dann ein "celebrate fall" aufbringen. Das Wort Celebrate ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Für das Wort Fall habe ich den unteren Teil der Giant Happy Fall Stanze einmal aus goldenem Glitter-Cardstock, einmal aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt und die mitgestanzten Teile des Happy darüber mit der Schere weggeschnitten. Dann habe ich beides leicht versetzt aufeinander und anschließend mittig in meinen Rahmen geklebt.

On the vellum there was room for a "celebrate fall" text. The word celebrate I white heat embossed onto black cardstock. For the word fall I used the lower part of the Giant Happy Fall die and cut it once from gold glitter cardstock and once from brown cardstock. I used my scissors to cut off the parts of the word happy, that got cut with the word fall. Then I stacked the two words a bit offset and then placed them centered inside the frame.

Der schwarze Rahmen samt Blättern ist mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar goldene Perlen rund um den Text verteilt.

I backed the black frame with thin foam tape. As decoration I added a few gold pearls around my text.

Durch das Vellum hat man ja bereits ein klein wenig der Szene im Inneren der Karte gesehen - hier ist sie komplett. Und die Eulen nehmen sich den Text auf der Kartenfront so richtig zu Herzen und haben im Wald einen kleinen Herbstmarkt mit Äpfeln, Kürbissen und - natürlich - Pumpkin Spice Latte - organisiert. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit den selben Distress Oxides gewischt, die ich auch für die Blätter auf der Kartenfront verwendet habe. Die Hügel darunter bestehen aus hell- und dunkelorangefarbenem Cardstock, den ich dann von unten mit Crackling Campfire bzw. Vintage Photo gewischt habe. Anschließend habe ich auf den Himmel und die Hügel wieder goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Through the vellum you already got a glimpse of the scene on the inside of the card - here's what it looks like when the card is opened. The owl are really taking the text on the card front to heart and organized a little autum market in the woods, selling apples, pumpkins and - of course - Pumpkin Spice Latte.

For the background I inked a piece of white cardstock with the same Oxides, that I had also used for the leaves on the card front. The hills underneath I die cut from light and dark orange cardstock, then inked them from the bottom up with Crackling Campfire and Vintage Photo. Then I added more splatters with the gold metallic watercolor onto all three pieces.

Den Wald habe ich dann mit den Birch Trees Stanzen gestaltet. Die habe ich einfach aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit einem dunkel- und einem mittelgrauen Polychromo die Rinde aufgemalt. Dann habe ich die Bäume hinter und zwischen die Hügel geklebt. Und rundherum fliegen natürlich jede Menge kleiner Herbstblätter, die ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Acorn House Set gemacht habe.

Im Hintergrund seht Ihr den Markt. Hier steht die Eule mit ihrem Kaffeewagen, daneben befinden sich die zum Verkauf stehenden Waren. Ich habe hier Stempel aus den Sets Treat Cart, Treat Cart Coffee Add-On, Apple-Solutely Aweseome, Hay There Hayrides, Veggie Happy, You Autumn Know und Happy Harvest kombiniert und alles mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich sie per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

The woods I created with the Birch Trees die set. I simply cut them from white cardstock and used a dark and a middle grey Polychromo to add the bark. Then I put the trees behind and between the hills. And of course lots of leaves are flying around in the fall wind. Those I die cut using a die from the Acorn House die set.

In the background you can see the little market. There's the owl with her coffee cart and all the fresh fruits and vegetables put up around the cart. I combined stamps from the sets Treat Cart, Treat Cart Coffee Add-On, Apple-Solutely Awesome, Hay There Hayrides, Veggie Happy, You Autumn Know and Happy Harvest here and colored them all with Copics, then cut them out with my scissors.

Und auf dem vorderen Hügel lassen sich zwei weitere Eulen aus den Sets S'More the Merrier und Jump for Joy einen Kaffee sowie einen Donut schmecken. 

Der Kartenrand vorne wirkte ein wenig unfertig. Also habe ich noch die Blätterhaufen aus dem Set Jump for Joy einige Male abgestempelt, coloriert und hier arrangiert. Natürlich sind das all die bereits herabgefallenen Blätter, die die Eulen vor dem Markt beiseite gefegt haben, damit der Marktplatz schön aussieht.

The edge of the scene looked kind of unfinished. So I stamped the pile of leaves from the Jump for Joy set a few times, colored it and arranged it along the cardstock edge. Of course these are all the already fallen leaves, that the owls swept aside to make the place where the market takes place look pretty.

Auch hier habe ich wieder 3D Tape zum Zusammensetzen der Szene verwendet. 

Die Kartenfront und die Szene habe ich dann mit einem gefalzten Streifen Cardstock verbunden und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Da die Szene im Inneren der Karte ebenfalls teilweise erhöht ist, habe ich in den Streifen einen 1/8" breiten "Buchrücken" eingearbeitet, so dass sie sich schön zusammenfalten lässt.

Und hier sieht man auch, dass ich den Leafy Tree Frame und auch das gestanzte Wort Fall auf der Rückseite noch jeweils mit einem Stanzteil aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt habe, um den Kleber zu verstecken. Die anderen Teile auf der Kartenfront - bis auf den kleinen Textstreifen und die Perlen - habe ich auf den später hinterlegten Bereichen angeklebt. So sieht die geöffnete Karte auf beiden Seiten schön aus.

Again I used foam tape to put the scene together.

I used a folded cardstock strip to connect the card front and the scene and then attached everything to a white note card. Since the scene on the inside is also pretty dimensional I added a 1/8" wide "spine" to the cardstock strip so the card can be closed nicely.

And here you can also see that I backed the Leafy Tree Frame and the die cut word fall with a black die cut on the back of the vellum to hide the adhesive. The other elements on the card front - except for the small text strip and the pearls - I glued to the areas, that are now hidden behind the black die cuts. This way the opened card looks nice on both sides.
