Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Heute nehme ich Euch mit in eine Straße, die auf den ersten Blick wie ein Lost Place aussieht: alt, verfallen, verlassen. Aber wenn man genau hinsieht, dann merkt man, dass sie sehr wohl bewohnt ist. Und zwar von Gespenstern! Und die sind schon voll in Halloween-Stimmung.

Today I am taking you with me into a street, that looks like a lost place at first sight: old, run down and abandoned. But when you take a closer look, then you'll see that this isn't true. There's a bunch of ghosts haunting the street! And they are already in a Halloween mood.
Ich habe hier in die Vollen gegriffen und alle der Market Place No. 1, No. 2 und No. 3 sowie die Market Place Mini Häuser von TheGreetery verwendet und mit dem passenden Market Place Eerie Avenue Set dekoriert. Die komplette Karte ist also aus 5 Stanzensets entstanden. Okay, nicht ganz, eine der Girlanden ist noch aus dem Market Place Celebration Street, aber im Eerie Avenue Set gibt es ebenfalls eine Sterngirlande. Mir hat nur die andere besser gefallen. Damit alle Häuser so gestaltet werden konnten, wie ich sie haben wollte, hat die Stanzmaschine aber Schwerstarbeit geleistet.
Farblich habe ich Grau-, Lila- und Orangetöne mit schwarz und weiß kombiniert.
I went all in here and used the Market Place No. 1, No.2 and No.3 as well as the Market Place Mini houses by TheGreetery and decorated them using the Market Place Eerie Avenue. The whole card is made using these 5 die sets only. Okay, not really. One of the banners is from Market Place Celebration Street, but there is a star banner in the Eerie Avenue, too. I just liked the other one better. To create all the houses like I wanted them to look my die cutting machine had to work really hard.
I went with greys, purples and oranges, combined with black and white as my colors.
Außerdem habe ich jeweils zwischen einem der großen sowie einem der Mini-Häuser abgewechselt und dabei die Häuserreihe mit einem kleinen Haus begonnen und abgeschlossen,
Ich habe die einzelnen Häuser mit farblich passenden - bzw. grauen - Stempelkissen eingefärbt indem ich sie einfach direkt über den Cardstock gezogen habe. Außerdem habe ich auf alle Häuser schwarze Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.
Die Fenster habe ich dann jeweils mit hellblauem Vellum hinterlegt.
Each of the houses is made from a different color combo but I used each color of cardstock several times. Otherwise the card would have turned out too colorful for my taste.
I also alternated between a large and a mini house and started and ended my street with one of the mini houses.
I used matching - or grey - ink pads to grunge up the houses a bit, lightly dragging the ink pads over the cardstock. I also splattered black acrylic paint onto all the houses.
The windows I backed with light blue vellum.
Hinter das orangefarbene Haus, das das mittlere in meiner Straße ist, habe ich einen Mond aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock geklebt. Außerdem befinden sich hinter den Häuserdächern silberne Sterne. Die wollte ich eigentlich alle an schmalen Folienstreifen anbringen, so dass sie komplett zu sehen sind, habe sie dann aber doch so hinter die Häuser gesteckt, dass ich sie dort ankleben konnte.
An einigen der Häuser befinden sich zudem Shopnamen. Sie sind aus dem Market Place Eerie Avenue Stempelset. Ich habe mich für "Hazel's Boo-Tique", "Pumpkin Spice Market" und "Yummy Mummy Cafe" entschieden, es gibt aber noch sehr viel mehr so geniale Namen im Set. Die Shopnamen sind mit schwarzer Tinte auf weiße Cardstockstreifen, die ich mit grauer Tinte gewischt habe, aufgestempelt.
Behind the orange house, that's the one in the middle of the street, I glued a moon cut from silver glitter cardstock. There are also some silver stars behind the roofs. Originally I had planned to adhere these to thin strips of acetate so they are fully visible. But then I changed my mind and tucked them half way behind the houses.
There are also some shop names on a few of the houses. They are from Market Place Eerie Avenue stamp set. I went with "Hazel's Boo-Tique", "Pumpkin Spice Market" and "Yummy Mummy Cafe", but there are a lot more like these included in the stamp set. I stamped them black onto strips of white cardstock, that I have grunged up with a grey ink pad.
Die Häuser sind dann mit allen möglichen Accesoires dekoriert, die so eine Spukstraße zu Halloween braucht: Bretter vor den Fenstern, Kürbisse und Kürbislaternen und Spinnenweben. Außerdem schauen an vielen Stellen Gespenster aus/hinter den Häusern und den diversen Elementen hervor.
Die Girlanden an den Häusern sind aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock sowie dunkellila Cardstock gestanzt. Vor einigen Häusern stehen knorrige Bäume und Zäune. Die Zäune sind ebenfalls aus silberfarbenem Spiegel-Cardstock, die Bäume sind, ebenso wie die Fledermäuse, die ich auf der Karte verteilt habe, aus schwarzem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt.
I decorated the houses with all kinds of elements a haunted street needs for Halloween: boards nailed over windows, pumpkins and jack 'o lanterns and spiderwebs. There are also little ghosts peaking out from behind the houses and different decor elements.
The banners on the houses are cut from silver mirror cardstock and dark berry colored cardstock.
In front of a few houses I put up some gnarly trees and fences. The fences are also cut from the silver mirror cardstock, the trees and the bats, that I adhered to different places on the card, are cut from black glitter cardstock.
Ich habe die Häuser mit mittig gefalzten Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks verbunden. So lässt sich die Karte wie ein Leporello zusammenfalten. Sie ist so vielleicht nicht unbedingt verschickbar, aber das habe ich sowieso nicht vor. Sie wird eines meiner Regale als Deko schmücken. Und so kann ich sie zumindest bis nächstes Jahr zusammengelegt sicher aufbewahren.
I connected the houses with strips of black cardstock that I scored in the center. Now the card can be folded flat like a leporello. It may not be the best card to mail out to someone, but I don't plan to. I will keep this up as Halloween decoration and now am able to fold it flat and store it safely until next year.
Und weil ich die Fenster mit Vellum hinterlegt habe, lässt sich die Straße auch schön mit Teelichtern beleuchten und macht so auch abends/nachts etwas her.
And because I backed the windows with vellum I can use some tea lights to lighten up the scene. This way it also looks nice in the evenings.
