Ich gebe es zu - ich bin ein leichtes Opfer. Man muss mir etwas nur oft genug zeigen und ich finde es toll. Und so war ich wirklich stolz, dass ich der Heroween Box von HeroArts widerstanden hatte. Obwohl ich den Inhalt kannte und ihn echt toll fand - die Katze im Sack kaufe ich nämlich nicht (mehr). Tja, und dann kamen immer mehr tolle Videos mit noch tolleren Karten und - nachdem sie ausverkauft war - war die Box bei einem meiner Stempeldealer auch wieder auf Lager. Ihr ahnt, was kommt - meine kleinen schnellen Fingerchen haben ihn bestellt. Ich bereue es nicht, denn er ist wirklich toll und so viel ist auch anderweitig einsetzbar. Außerdem könnte ich Euch dann diese Karte nicht zeigen...

I am admitting it - I am easy to catch. You only have to show me something over and over again and I fall in love with it. And so I was really proud of myself to not have ordered the Heroween Box by HeroArts. Allthough I knew the content and loved it - I am not buying the pig in a poke (anymore). Well, and then more and more amazing videos with even more amazing cards showed up and - after it had sold out - the box was back in stock at one of my stamp stores. You for sure already guessed what happened next - my quick little fingers had placed an order. I am not regretting it because it IS amazing and a lot of the dies can be used all year long. And also I wouldn't be able to share today's card with you...
Da ich die Box dann doch eher spät bekommen habe und mir sicher war, dass ich nicht wie letztes Jahr mit der 13 Days of Halloween Box von Spellbinders mit jedem der Sets ein eigenes Projekt würde zeigen können habe ich hier mehrere Sets kombiniert. Ich glaube, es waren 4, bin mir aber nicht mehr wirklich sicher.
Der Hintergrund besteht aus schwarzem Cardstock. Den habe ich erst mit einem Spinnennetz-Embossinggolder von Cuttlebug geprägt und dann ein weißes Stempelkissen auf die erhabenen Stellen aufgedrückt. So sieht man das Spinnennetz besser.
Zusammen mit der Heroween Box ist auch gleich noch das Color Block Accents Arches Set von Spellbinders bei mir eingezogen. Die habe ich dann für den Aufleger verwendet, der den Hintergrund für meinen Aufleger darstellt. Ich habe den zweitgrößten der Bögen aus Vellum gestanzt und dann alles dunkelrosa hinterlegt. Ich habe zwar die passenden "normalen" Arches nicht, aber ich konnte den Cardstock gut mit der Schere ausschneiden.
Auf den Spinnennetz-Hintergrund und das Vellum habe ich dann orangefarbene Metallic-Watercolor gespritzt.
Since I got my box kind of late and I was sure that I wouldn't be able to make an individual card with each day's content - like I did last year with the 13 Days of Halloween Box by Spellbinders - I combined several sets on this one card. I think I used dies from 4 of them but am not entirely sure.
The background is made from black cardstock. I first used a spiderweb embossing folder by Cuttlebug to dry emboss the spiderweb into the cardstock, then pressed a white ink pad onto the raised areas. This way the spiderweb is more noticable.
When I ordered the Heroween Box I also got the Color Block Accents Arches by Spellbinders. I used that for the part that makes the background for my images. I die cut the second largest from vellum and then backed it with dark pink cardstock. I don't have the matching "regular" arches but cutting around the vellum with my scissors was pretty easy.
Onto the spiderweb and the vellum I then splattered some orange metallic watercolor.
Auf meiner Karte befindet sich eine kleine Tasche, gefüllt mit süßen Leckereien. Und weil die nicht alle in die Tasche gepasst haben, befinden sich auch noch einige davor und daneben.
Die Tasche habe ich aus schwarz und orange gestreiftem Designpapier gestanzt und mit einer Lage aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt. Von der gestreiften Tasche habe ich den Griff weggeschnitten, so dass der nur schwarz ist.
There's a bag filled with treats on my card. And because not all of the treats fit into the bag there are also some around the bag.
I die cut the bag from black and orange striped cardstock and backed it with a layer cut from black cardstock. I cut off the handle of the striped back so it's only black.
Ich wollte mal eine andere Farbkombi für Halloween und habe mich für orange und pink entschieden, kombiniert mit schwarz und weiß. In der Tasche stecken zwei Schokoriegel, ein Gummiwurm und zwei dieser Rollen mit pastellfarbenen Bonbons. In meinem Fall sind sie nur orange und pink. Ich habe die Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt, die hintere Lage der Schokoriegel aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock. Dann habe ich mit dem ebenfalls in der Box enthaltenen Stempelset, die Details auf die Süßigkeiten gestempelt. Auf den Schokoriegeln steht Boo! und Bite, und auch die Bonbons sind damit gestempelt. Es sind dafür 2 Stempel enthalten, so dass man den Bonbons unterschiedliche Farben geben kann. An die Enden der Bonbons habe ich dann eine Schleife aus weißem Twine gebunden.
I wanted a different color combo for this Halloween card and decided to go with pink and orange, combined with black and white. Inside the bag there are two chocolate bars, a gummy worm and two of those hard rock candy rolls, that usually come in pastell colors (at least here in Germany). On my case they are only pink and orange. I die cut the pieces from colored cardstock, the back layer of the chocolate bars from matte silver metallic cardstock. Then I used the stamp set, that also comes in the box, to stamp on the details. On the chocolate bars there's written a BOO! and a BITE, and the candies are also stamped on. There are two stamps in the set to stamp the candies so you can make them different colors. Around the ends of the candy rolls I wrapped some white twine and tied it to a bow.
Auf die Tasche habe ich dann ein großes Trick or Treat geklebt. Das besteht aus schwarzem Glossy Cardstock, versetzt hinterlegt mit einer Lage aus weißem Cardstock. Das O in Or habe ich durch einen Augapfel ersetzt. Ihr kennt sicher die - schrecklich schmeckenden - Gummibärchen-Augen, die es immer zu Halloween gibt.
Onto the bag I adhered a large Trick or Treat text. It's made from black Glossy Cardstock, backed offset with a layer of white cardstock. I replaced the O in Or with an eyeball. Here there are always some eyeball shaped gummy candy in the shops around Halloween - and they taste awful...
Und unten rund um die Tasche liegen noch zwei Candy Corns, zwei Vampirgebiss-Gummibärchen, ein weiterer Gummiwurm und ein Bonbon. Und dann wollte ich unbedingt noch den kleinen Frosch aus einem der Sets unterbringen. Weil grün aber jetzt so gar nicht auf die Karte gepasst hätte, habe ich ihn aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt. Dafür habe ich ihn mit einer Schleife und einem Hexenhut, die eigentlich beide zu einer als Hexe verkleideten Katze gehören, bekleidet.
Alle Teile auf der Karte sind aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, Aged Mahogany, Gathered Twigs und Hickory Smoke gewischt.
And around the bottom of the bag there are two candy corns, two vampire teeth gummy candy, another gummy worm and a bonbon. And then I really wanted to include the little frog from one of the sets. Since green would not have fit onto the card I created him from grey cardstock and dressed him up with a bow and a witch's hat, that both belong to a witch cat originally.
All the pieces on this card are die cut from colored cardstock and ink blended with Distress Ink Victorian Velvet, Rusty Hinge, Aged Mahogany, Gathered Twigs and Hickory Smoke.
Ich habe alle Teile zusammen und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die Süßigkeiten vor der Tasche und der Augapfel sind dabei mit 3D Tape hinterlegt.
Als Deko habe ich noch zwei Spinnen aus schwarzem Glossy Cardstock sowie einige winzige schwarze Sternchen, die ebenfalls in der Box kommen, auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
I glued all the pieces togehter and onto the background. I backed the treats in front of the bag and the eyeballs with foam tape.
As decoration I added two spiders, cut from black glossy cardstock, and some tiny black stars, that also come in the box, and then glued the card panel onto a white note card.
