Heute startet in der Stamping-Fairies Facebook Gruppe die neue Challenge. Meine Karte ist zum Thema Halloween - aber wir lassen Euch die Wahl: Herbst ODER Halloween.

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group we are starting our new challenge today. I made a Halloween card but we let you pick the theme - it's EITHER Fall OR Halloween.
Naja, ich liebe es ja, das Thema Halloween zu verbasteln. Da war für mich schnell klar, was tun. Ich habe hier eine Flop Card - die mit dem Kreis - mit der Stanze von MFT so gestanzt, dass ich die Lage mit dem Kreis oben liegen habe und den Rest der Karte nach hinten als Hintergrund schlagen kann. Eigentlich wollte ich ja eine "richtige" Flop Card machen, also mit sich drehendem Label. Aber das Haus war zu lang. Und das Türmchen abschneiden wollte ich nicht. Also ist jetzt eben so eine Karte daraus geworden.
Dafür konnte ich mit vielen Lagen arbeiten. Im Hintergrund habe ich zwei Lagen Wolken, die ich mit den Stitched Cloud Edges Stanzen gemacht habe. Sie sind mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone und Hickory Smoke eingefärbt. So heben sie sich von einander ab - und sehen weniger knallig aus wie nur weiße Wolken. Eine weiße Wolke habe ich noch auf die vordere Hälfte der Karte geklebt, um den dunkelblauen Cardstock abzudecken.
Den Mond habe ich mit dem Kreis aus dem Flop Card Set ausgestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Da er ja doch recht groß ist, wollte ich ihn etwas realistischer aussehen lassen.
Aus schwarzem und grauem Cardstock habe ich Stücke mit den Grassy Hills Border Stanzen ausgestanzt und ebenfalls aufgeklebt. Ganz vorne kam dann noch der Farm Fence und oben rechts das tolle Haus aus dem Spooky House Scene Builder Set. Es ist so schade, dass es das nicht mehr gibt. Ich verwende es wirklich gerne!
Die Bäume sind aus dem Set Modern Trees. Es war etwas frickelig, die per Hand so auszuschneiden, aber die Arbeit hat sich gelohnt.
Igel und Eichhörnchen sind natürlich aus dem Stempelset Frightfully Sweet, die Kürbisse aus den Sets Fall Friends und Harvest Mouse. In den Sets sind sie nämlich spiegelverkehrt und leicht unterschiedlich in der Größe. Den Baumstumpf habe ich aus dem Set Happy Hedgehogs genommen.
Zum Schluss kamen noch drei Fledermäuse über die Karte - und fertig.
Since I love to craft for Halloween it was easy for me to pick the theme. Here I've made a Flop Card - using the die by MFT - the one with the circle. I've cut/folded it so the circle is on the top layer and that the largest part of the card can be used as the background. Originally I had planned to make a "real" Flop Card - with a turning circle. But the house was too big and I just didn't want to cut off the roof. So I've ended up with this type of card.
That left me with several parts I could add layers to. In the background I've added two layers of clouds, made using the Stitched Cloud Edges. They were cut from white cardstock and I've used Distress Ink Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke to tone them down a bit. Just white clouds were a really hard contrast. But I've added one layer of white clouds on the front part of the card to cover the dark blue of the card base.
The moon was cut using the circle that comes with the Flop Card die and then colored in with Copics. Since it's really big I wanted to give it a kind of realistic look.
From black and grey cardstock I've cut the ground using the Grassy Hills dies. In the front I've added the Farm Fence - and in the background the die cut house from the Spooky House Scene Builder Set. It's such a shame that this one isn't available anymore, I just love it!
The trees are from the Modern Trees stamp set. Cutting those out by hand was kind of tricky but it was worth the work.
Hedgehog and squirrel are from the Frightfully Sweet stamp set, the pumpkins from the sets Fall Friends and Harvest Mouse - they are mirrored in the sets and slightly different in size. The tree trunk is from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set.
In the end I've added three bats - and I was done.
