Der Nikolaus kommt ja auch schon bald - und auf meiner heutigen Karte steht er doch heute schon vor der Tür.

Nikolaus Day will be celebrated on december 6th so that's pretty soon. And on the card I'm sharing today he's already standing at the door.
Hier habe ich zuerst das Motiv abgestempelt - dazu gleich mehr - und dann drumherum mit Distress Oxide Stormy Sky, Pumice Stone und Gathered Twigs die Szene drumherum aufgewischt. Für die holzmaser-ähnlichen Streifen am "Boden" habe ich einfach die Kante des Stempelkissens ein paar Mal direkt über die Karte gezogen.
Unten habe ich dann zwei Banner mit Text aufgeklebt. Die Banner sind ebenfalls mit Stormy Sky gewischt, darauf habe ich dann mit schwarzer Tinte die Texte aufgestempelt.
Here I've stamped the image - I'll tell more about this in a bit - and then used Distress Oxide Stormy Sky, Pumice Stone and Gathered Twigs to add the background scene. For the wood pattern like look I've simply used the ink pad and directly swiped its edge over the card a few times.
To the "floor" I've glued two banners. Those were colored with Stormy Sky as well, then I've stamped the sayings onto them with black ink. The second one reads "have you been nice?" - I don't think the first one needs any translation.
Hier könnt Ihr das eigentliche Motiv besser sehen. Der süße Nikolaus ist - wie alle Stempel hier - von JM Creation. Ich habe ihn abgestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich ebenfalls mit Copics frei hand die Tür und den Hintergrund dazu gemalt. Die Schneeflocken sind mit einem weißen Gelmarker gemacht. Das Fenster in der Tür ist eventuell etwas groß ausgefallen, aber die Leute in dem Haus haben eben nichts zu verbergen... ;)
Here you get a better look at the image itself. The cute Nikolaus is by JM Creation - as are all the stamps on this card. I've stamped him and colored him in with Copics. Then I've used Copics as well to hand draw the door and background. The snowflakes are made using a white gelly marker. The window in the door might be a tad bit too big but well, the people living in this house simply don't have anything to hide... ;)
