Heute zeige ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog eine Karte zum Valentinstag. Und weil jeder so seine Ecken und Kanten hat, trotz - oder wegen - derer man ihn/sie liebt, passen auch Kakteen für eine solche Karte! Um so mehr, wenn sie so süß wie die neuen von MFT sind.

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing a Valentine's card today. And since we all have our rough edges but still - or even because of them - love each other I thought also cactus would fit for this card. The more when they are as cute as the new ones by MFT!
Hier habe ich die ebenfalls neuen String of Hearts Hotfoil Herzen mit rosafarbener Folie auf weißen Cardstock foliert und den anschließend auf einen rosafarbenen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Here I've foiled the hearts using the new String of Hearts Hotfoil die and pink foil onto a piece of white cardstock and then glued this onto a pink note card.
Die Kakteen aus dem Let's Stick Together Stempelset habe ich gestempelt, mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Da ich ja ein Liebespärchen machen wollte, habe ich dem mittleren sowie dem größeren Kaktus auf dem letzten Bild jeweils einen Schnurrbart verpasst. Den habe ich einfach aus einem weiteren Motiv des Sets ausgeschnitten.
Die Motive habe ich in Polaroids aus weißem Cardstock geklebt und schwarz gemattet.
Den Text habe ich auf drei Teile verteilt weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und jeweils mit 3D Tape auf einen der Polaroidrahmen geklebt.
Dann habe ich alle Polaroids auf den Hintergrund geklebt und oben kleine Streifen "Klebeband" angebracht, das ich farblich ein wenig auf die Kakteen abgestimmt habe.
Zum Schluss kam unten noch die neue Lots of Love Stanze zum Einsatz. Ich habe das Wort aus pinkfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und das Herz extra nochmal aus kräftigerem Pink. Das habe ich in die passende Ausstanzung eingesetzt und zusätzlich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.
I've stamped the cactus from the Let's Stick Together stamp set, colored them with my Copics and cut them out. Since I wanted to make a couple I've glued a mustache to the cactus in the middle and the bigger one on the right. The mustache was cut out from a stamped image of another cactus, also included in the set.
I've glued the images into polaroid frames, cut from white cardstock, and matted them black.
The saying is white heat embossed onto black cardstock, devided into three parts. I've then glued one part onto each polaroid frame using dimensionals.
Then I've glued all the polaroids onto the background and added small pieces of "tape" that I've tried to match the cactus in color.
In the end I've also used the Lots of Love die. I've die cut the word from light pink cardstock and cut the heart again from a brighter pink. Then I've put that back into the cut out and also covered it with Glossy Accents.
Und auf diesem Bild kann man die Folierung noch besser erkennen. So extrem wie auf den oberen Bildern ist sie eigentlich gar nicht.
And here you get a better look at the foiling. It really isn't as bright as it seems on the other pictures.
