Weihnachten ist vorbei, alle Weihnachtsmärkte sind geschlossen. Aber es ist immer noch kalt draußen, so dass ein Glühwein - oder auch heißer Kakao - natürlich lecker schmeckt! Der Meinung sind auch die Waldtiere auf meiner Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige. Also haben sie kurzerhand einen Kakao-Stand zusammengezimmert und treffen sich nun im verschneiten Winterwald.

Christmas has passed, all those christmas markets are closed until next december. But it's still cold outside so some mulled wine - or hot cocoa - are perfect to warm up. That's what those critters on the card, that I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today, think as well. So they've simply built up a hot cocoa stand and are now having a gathering in the snowy woods.
Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Oxide Weathered Wood und Faded Jeans sowie der Wolkenschablone von MFT gewischt. Ich wollte die Wolken nur ganz leicht sichtbar, darum habe ich erst eine dünne Schicht Weathered Woods aufgetragen und dann mehr Farbe mit aufgelegter Schablone hinzugefügt.
Die Schneehügel sind mit Tumbled Glass gewischt, die Ränder der Baumstämme, die mit der Birch Tree Stanze gemacht sind, sind leicht mit Hickory Smoke betupft.
Den Text aus dem Stempelset Sweater Weather in the Woods habe ich unten auf den Schneehügel aufgestempelt.
The background is made with Distress Oxide Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans and the cloud stencil by MFT. I only wanted the clouds to be barely seen so I've covered the whole cardstock with a thin layer of Weathered Woods first, then added more color using the stencil.
The snowy hills are inked up with Tumbled Glass, the edges of the trees, that were made using the Birch Tree dies, are lightly covered with Hickory Smoke.
The saying from the Sweater Weather stamp set is stamped onto the front hill that I've kept pretty large to make the sentiment fit.
Und hier sind die süßen Waldtiere, alle warm eingepackt. Kann man erkennen, dass alle Pullis von der selben Tante gestrickt wurden? Klar, sie hat überall die selbe Wolle verwendet. ;)
Die Tiere sind ebenfalls aus dem Sweater Weather in the Woods Stempelset von MFT. Das hatte ich mir beim Erscheinen nicht gekauft - und mich dann wahnsinnig geärgert, vor allem, weil es wirklich überall für längere Zeit ausverkauft war. Und allein der Biber ist es doch wert!
Hier habe ich die Tiere mit dem Kakao-Stand aus dem Cocoa Stand Stempelset von Avery Elle kombiniert und den Bär als Ausschenkenden - denn natürlich ist der Kakao im Wald kostenlos! - dahinter maskiert.
Nachdem ich alles auf den Hintergrund geklebt habe, habe ich noch die Schneeflocken mit weißer Acrylfarbe, vermischt mit ein wenig Wasser, aufgespritzt.
And here are those cute critters, all bundled up. Can you tell that the same aunt knitted all those sweaters? Sure, since she used the same yarn for all of them. ;)
The animals are also from the Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set by MFT. I hadn't bought that when it was released - and only shorter, after deciding that I really needed it, it was sold out everywhere for quite a while. And just the beaver is worth buying the set!
Here I've combined the animals with the cocoa stand from the Cocoa Stand stamp set by Avery Elle, masking the bear behind the counter. He's no vendor - of course hot cocoa is free in those woods!
After glueing the images onto the background I've added the snowflakes using white acrylic paint mixed with a bit of water.
