Auf dieser Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige, demonstriert Euch ein kleiner Fuchs, was Relaxen bedeutet. Er sitzt im Schatten eines großen Pilzes und hält ein kleines Schläfchen.

On this card that I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today a little fox is demonstrating what relaxing means. He's sitting in the shade of a large mushroom, taking a little nap.
Das war mal wieder eine Karte, die im Kopf ganz anders aussah. Momentan bin ich irgendwie nicht so richtig im Flow. Ich weiß nicht ob es an der Arbeit im Garten liegt, die getan werden möchte, oder an der Tatsache, dass ich einfach urlaubsreif wäre. Urlaub bedeutet für mich wegfahren, ans Meer, und den Alltag hinter mir lassen. Urlaub zu Hause geht nicht, es ist einfach immer zu viel zu tun. Und da kann ich nicht abschalten, wenn mir das im Kopf kreist. Wirklicher Urlaub ist aber nicht in Sicht... Am Ende war ich mit der Karte aber doch zufrieden.
Ich habe hier im Hintergrund mit der Cloud Stencil von MFT und Distress Oxide Bundled Sage, Weathered Wood und Tumbled Glass einen Hintergrund von grün nach blau gearbeitet. Darauf kam einer der Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, darauf ein Stitched Circle, ebenfalls in weiß. Die nächste Lage bildete ein Stück Vellum, auf das ich mit der GoPress, grüner Folie und einer der Foiled Frames Rectangle Schablonen ein Rechteck auffoliert habe. Und darüber kam dann endlich das Motiv.
Again this card looked completly different in my mind. I just seem to lack my mojo every now and then these days. I have no idea if it's because all the work in the garden that needs to be done or the fact that I really need a vacation. Vacation for me is traveling, to the sea, leaving everyday life behind me. Taking a few days off work and staying home is nothing like a real vacation because there's always so much to do. And I can't relax until those things are done because they are in my head constantly. Well, I think a vacation won't happen anytime soon... But in the end I was happy with what the card looks like.
Here I've used the Cloud stencil by MFT and Distress Oxide Bundled Sage, Weathered Wood and Tumbled Glass to create a background changing from green to blue. Then I've added one of the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame dies, cut from white cardstock, and a Stitched Circle, also in white. The next layer is made from a piece of vellum onto which I've hot foiled a green rectangle with my GoPress, green foil and one of the Foiled Frames Rectangles dies. And then I've finally glued the image on top.
Das Motiv ist aus dem Stempelset Always Bring a Smile von MFT. Ich habe das große Motiv mit dem Fuchs und den Pilzen nicht komplett abgestempelt und hinter den Fuchs noch ein paar Pflanzen maskiert. Coloriert habe ich dann mit Copics und versucht, den Schatten, den der Pilzkopf auf den Kopf des Fuchses wirft, mit einzuarbeiten.
Das Motiv habe ich rechteckig zugeschnitten und schwarz gemattet.
The image is from the Always Bring a Smile stamp set by MFT. I've stamped only part of the big image with the fox and the mushrooms and also did some masking to add a few plants behind the fox. Then I've colored it with Copics and tried to add the shadow the mushroom is creating on the fox's head.
I've cut the image to a rectangle and matted it with black cardstock.
Um den "Wald" auf der Karte nochmal irgendwie aufzugreifen, habe ich noch zwei Pflanzen hinzugefügt - eine links unten des Motives, eines oben rechts. Dafür habe ich aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock die Grande Greenery Solid Stanzen von MFT ausgestanzt, darauf kamen die Grande Greenery Outlines. Die habe ich aus einem Stück Cardstock gestanzt, das ich zuvor ebenfalls mit grüner Folie und dem Solid Print Hotfoil Stamp von ToDo foliert habe. Wie toll die Folie glänzt, könnt Ihr auf dem Bild hier erkennen.
To pick up the "wood" theme again I've added to plants - one to the bottom left and one to the upper right of the image. I've die cut the Grande Greenery Solid dies from dark green cardstock, on top I've put the Grande Greenery Outlines. Those were cut from a piece of cardstock that I've foiled again using the green foil and the Solid Print Hotfoil Stamp by ToDo. On this picture you can see the amazing shine of the foil.
