Heute zeige ich auf dem Stampcorner Blog mal etwas ganz anderes...

Today I am sharing something completly different over at the Stampcorner Blog...
Und bevor Ihr Euch jetzt wundert - ja, es ist wie meist nur eine Karte. Aber vom Stil her ist sie so komplett anders als das, was ich normalerweise mache. Ich gestehe auch, ich war - und bin - mir mit dieser Karte total unsicher. Ich habe sogar im DT nachgefragt, ob die alle so gruselig finden wie ich. Aber es liegt wohl wirklich an mir und der Tatsache, dass ich so bunt einfach selten mache. Also habe ich mich entschlossen, die Karte doch mit Euch zu teilen.
Angefangen hat alles mit einer Anleitung für einen Hintergrund. Das wollte ich probieren. Der erste Versuch ging gleich mal in den Rundordner, da waren die Farben so ählich, dass kaum Muster zu erkennen war. Also habe ich in die Vollen gegriffen - mit orange, rot und gelb. Herausgekommen ist dann dieses farbenfrohe Etwas. Bei dieser Technik werden auf einem Stück Cardstock großzügig einige Punkte Acrylfarbe verteilt und mit einem Spatel oder, wie in meinem Fall, einer alten Geschenkkarte verteilt. Für mehr Kontrast habe ich noch Spritzer mit schwarzer Acrylfarbe hinzugefügt. Und weil das alles noch nicht wild genug war, habe ich mit der Love is in the Air Stencil von MFT und weißer Strukturpaste noch ein paar Herzen aufgetragen.
And before you start to wonder - yes, it is just a card, like most of the times. But this is so completly different in style compared to what I usually make. I also have to admit I was - and still am - completly unsure if I like this card or not. I even asked my fellow DT members if it's just me or if they agree that this card is kind of ugly. Well, turned out it must be me - and the fact that I rarely make something that colorful. And so I've decided to share this card with you.
It all started with a tutorial for how to make that kind of background. I had to try it. The first try went right into the trash. I've picked colors too close to each other so there was hardly any pattern visible. For my next try I went wild - with orange, red and yellow. And this colorful something is what I ended up with. For this technique you apply dots of acrylic paint onto a piece of cardstock and use a scraper - or in my case an old gift card - to move the paint and cover the cardstock completly. For more contrast I've also added some black speckles made with black acrylic paint. And since all that wasn't wild enough already I've also used the Love is in the Air stencil by MFT and some white modelling paste to add some hearts.
Nun ja, irgendwas musste dann mit dem Hintergrund geschehen. Also habe ich erst den Schmetterling von Stampcorner in schwarz aufgestempelt. Das Stempeln geht auf der Acrylfarbe übrigens super. Die schwarzen Flecken um das Motiv gehören übrigens zum Stempel. Ich habe das Motiv dann noch ein weiteres Mal mit orangefarbener Tinte gestempelt und nur die Flügel ausgeschnitten. Die habe ich dann außen mit 3D Tape, innen direkt auf das schwarz gestempelte Motiv geklebt und mit Stickles beglittert. Der Glitzer war übrigens das einzige, das einige meiner DT-Kolleginnen an der Karte gestört hat.
Neben dem Motiv habe ich dann ein paar Zweige verteilt. Ich habe hier die Grande Greenery Solid Stanze (grün) sowie die Grande Greenery Outlines (schwarz und aus Vellum) von MFT verwendet und übereinander geklebt.
Nun fehlte noch ein Text. Ich wollte nochmal etwas mit Kontrast. Also habe ich eine der Stanzen aus dem Shadow Script #2 Stanzenset von Sizzix verwendet, den Schatten aus schwarzem, das Wort selbst aus orangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und übereinander geklebt. Dann habe ich es am unteren Ende der Zweige auf die Karte geklebt.
Ich glaube, mit dieser Karte beende ich meinen Ausflug ins experimentelle Stempeln und kehre wieder zu meinem gewohnten Stil zurück. Aber hey, sonst hätte ich nicht gewusst, ob das nicht vielleicht doch etwas für mich ist!
Well, this background had to be used for something. So I've stamped the butterfly by Stampcorner onto it with black ink. By the way, stamping on acrylic paint works great. The black speckles around the image come from the stamp. Then I've stamped the image again with orange ink, cut out only the wings and glued those onto the black stamped image. I've used dimensionals on the outer edges of the wings and glued the inner edges directly onto the butterfly's body. Then I've also added some glitter. By the way, this glitter was the only thing not all of my fellow DT members liked.
Next to the image I've added a few branches. I've used the Grande Greenery Solid (green) and the Grande Greenery Outlines (black and Vellum) dies by MFT and glued them on top of each other.
Now all I needed left was a text. I wanted some more contrast so I've picked one of the Shadow Scraipt #2 dies by Sizzix, cut the shadow from black and the word itself from orange cardstock. I've glued both on top of each other and then glued them to the bottom of the branches.
Well, I think I am leaving the path of experimental stamping and return to my usual style. But hey, if I wouldn't have tried I'd never know if this was something I liked!
