Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Bereits Anfang des Monats habe ich Euch eine Slimline Card mit den tollen Häusern von MFT gezeigt. Nun kam mir die Idee, die Karte noch einmal zu werkeln, diesmal allerdings nicht als Weihnachts-, sondern als Neujahrskarte. Das Ergebnis zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog.

The beginning of the month I've already shared a slimline card with those great houses by MFT. Now I had the idea of re-creating this card, but not as a christmas but as a new year's card. I'm sharing the result today over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog.
Am Himmel habe ich zuerst die explodierenden Raketen aus dem Stempelset Fireworks von MFT mit Versafine Clair in grün (Verdant), lila (Purple Delight) und pink (Glamorous) gestempelt und mit klarem Embossingpulver überzogen. Die Glitzerpunkte am Ende der Raketen sind mit goldenem Glitzer-Embossingpulver embosst. Das geht hier problemlos, denn diese Glitzerpunkte sind extra Stempel.
Dann habe ich den Himmel drumherum gestaltet. In der Mitte der Raketen habe ich Distress Oxide Broken China aufgewischt, darum herum dann jeweils Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans und Black Soot. Ein paar Wassertropfen habe ich für die helleren Punkte ebenso aufgespritzt wie ein paar zusätzliche Punkte mit einem weißen Gelmarker hinzugefügt.
Für den Text habe ich das Happy aus dem Stanzenset Happy Birthday Script aus goldenem Glitzercardstock gestanzt. Da ich das Birthday darunter nicht benutzt habe, konnte ich das H ein wenig tiefer setzen, so gibt es in diesem Fall ein stimmigeres Bild. Die schwarzen und weißen Schatten um das Wort herum habe ich per Hand geschnitten.
Den Text habe ich durch ein "new year" aus dem Stempelset Bitty Holiday Wishes sowie einem Spruch aus dem Stempelset Magical Unicorns ergänzt. Sie sind jeweils schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.
Das Happy ist mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt, ebenso das kleine Banner mit dem "new year". So konnte ich das größere mit dem Spruch ein wenig unter das eine P von happy schieben.
First I've stamped the fireworks from the Fireworks stamp set by MFT with Versafine Clair Verdant (green), Purple Delight (purple) and Glamorous (pink) and covered them with clear embossing powder. The crackling ends are heat embossed with a glittering golden embossing powder. It's easy to do here since those are extra stamps in the set.
Then I've created the night sky around them. In the middle of the firewords I've used Distress Oxide Broken China, then went darker with Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans and Black Soot. I've flicked some water over the background to create the lighter spots and also added a few white dots as stars with a gel marker.
For the text I've die cut the happy from the Happy Birthday Script die by MFT from golden glitter cardstock. Since I didn't use the birthday in the second line I was able to move the H a bit further down - it just looks better in this case. The black and white shadows underneath are cut by hand.
I've completed the text on the card with a "new year" from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set and another text from the Magical Unicorns stam pset. They are stamped black onto white cardstock.
The happy is glued onto the card with dimensionals, also the banner with the new year stamped onto it. That way I was able to tuck the bigger banner a bit under one of the Ps from happy.
Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich wieder den City Block Background verwendet. Er ist mit schwarzem Embossingpulver auf grauen Cardstock embosst. Diesmal habe ich die Häuser mit Copics schattiert, die Fenster habe ich alle dunkel angemalt. Okay, an Silvester wären bestimmt die meisten Leute wach und so hätten die Fenster wohl eher leuchten müssen, zumindest einige davon. Aber daran habe ich erst viel zu spät gedacht.
Die Hausdächer habe ich mit weißem Gesso beschneit.
In the lower area of the card I've used the City Block Background again. It's black heat embossed onto grey cardstock. This time I've used my Copics add some shadows to the houses. I've also colored all the houses black. Well, on New Year's Eve I guess most of the people would be awake and so the lights would be burning behind the windows, at least behind a few of them. But I really thought of that way too late.
To add the snow to the roofs I've used white Gesso.
