Auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige ich heute diese Geburtstagskarte. Und um den roten Faden, der sich durch diesen August zieht, konsequent fortzusetzen, habe ich auch hier einen Hintergrundstempel verwendet. Okay, ein reiner Hintergrund ist dieses tolle Blumenarrangement nicht, aber von der Größe her kommt er fast an einen Hintergrundstempel ran.

Over on the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this birthday card today. And to continue the red line, that goes through this august, I used a background stamp on this ard as well. Okay, it isn't a real background stamp, but just size wise this great flower bouquet is nearly a background stamp.

Auf dieser Karte habe ich mal ganz andere Materialen verwendet, als ich es üblicherweise tue. Angefangen habe ich mit einem Stück Watercolor Cardstock, das ich mit Distress Ink Tumbled Glass und Broken China und Wasser eingefärbt habe. Ich habe hier die Re-Inker verwendet, da ist die Farbe konzentrierter, aber natürlich geht es auch mit den Kissen. 

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich ein paar Spritzer mit goldener Schimmer-Watercolor auf dem Hintergrund verteilt. 

On this card I used some really different materials than I usually do. 

I started with a piece of watercolor cardstock and inked it up with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Broken China and water. I used the re-inkers here since their color is more concentrated, but using the ink pads would have worked the same.

After the background had dried I flicked some golden metallic watercolor over it.

Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann den Blumenstrauß aus dem Stempelset Freshly Picked Bouquet von MFT mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich ihn ein weiteres Mal auf weißen Watercolor Cardstock gestempelt. 

Die Blätter und Stängel der Blumen habe ich direkt auf dem bereits blau eingefärbten Hintergrund coloriert. Und zum Colorieren habe ich diesmal ZIG Watercolor Marker benutzt. Die wollten auch mal wieder zum Einsatz kommen, außerdem war ich mir sicher, dass das Motiv so super zum Wasserfarben-Hintergrund passen würde. Beim Colorieren der Blätter und Stängel, hat sich die grüne Farbe - ich habe für die verschiedenen Blätter jeweils einen eigenen Grünton benutzt - ein wenig mit dem Blau im Hintergrund gemischt, was die Farbe etwas verändert. Aber bei diesen Teilen des Motivs hat mich das nicht gestört. Auch die Tatsache, dass die Farbe nicht genau vermalt ist, war reine Absicht, der Effekt hat mir hier gut gefallen. 

Für die Blüten wollte ich dann doch die reinen Farben, nicht mit blau vermischt, haben. Deswegen habe ich diese Teile des Motives auf dem weißen Extra-Abdruck coloriert. Ich habe mich für hellgelbe und kornblumenblaue Blüten entschieden. Nach dem Colorieren habe ich sie ausgeschnitten, die Ränder mit einem schwarzen Marker auch seitlich ein wenig eingefärbt, und sie auf die Karte geklebt. Und auch auf den weißen Gelstift habe ich hier fast verzichtet - ich habe nur die schwarzen Linien auf den Blütenblättern zweier der gelben Blüten sowie die Punkte in der Mitte der blauen Blumen damit nachgemalt, da mir hier schwarzen Linien hier zu hart waren.

Dann fehlte auf meiner Karte noch ein Text. Der ist aus dem Stempelset Bitty Birthday Wishes. Ich habe ihn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und von links in das Motiv hineinragend aufgeklebt. Eigentlich wollte ich einen Text aus dem Set, aus dem auch das Motiv ist verwenden, die sind so schön in Schreibschrift. Aber die waren alle zu kurz und zu hoch - das sah eigenartig aus. Also habe ich doch noch weiteres Stempelset ins Spiel gebracht.

Then I used black ink to stamp the flowers from the Freshly Picked Bouquet stamp set by MFT onto the blue colored background. I also stamped it again onto a fresh piece of watercolor cardstock.

The leaves and stems of the flowers are colored directly onto the colored background. And instead of Copics I used some ZIG Markers here - I just felt like using them and thought they would go great with the watercolor background. When I colored the leaves and stems the green ink - I used a different tone for each type of leaves - mixed up a bit with the blue from the background what changed the color. It didn't bother me for this parts of the image. And also the fact that the colors aren't blended/faded perfectly happened on purpose, I just liked that for this card.

For the flowers I wanted the real colors I used to color them be visible, not being mixed/changed by the blue. So I colored these on the extra piece of watercolor cardstock. I used a light yellow for one type of flowers and a cornflower blue for the other one. After the coloring was done, I cut them out, used a black marker on the edges of the flowers, and then glued them down onto the card.

I also didn't use a white gel pen here - well, at least nearly. I only re-drew the lines on the petals of two of the yellow flowers and the dots in the center of the blue ones since I thought, the black lines were too hard here. 

Then my card only needed a sentiment. This one's from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set. I white heat embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock and glued it down coming in from the left edge of the card, overlapping a bit with the image. I had planned to use a text from the set that the image comes in since these are made with a beautiful scripty font. But they were just too short and tall and looked strange on the card. So I brought out a second stamp set.

Und hier habe ich noch ein weiteres Bild, auf dem man sehen kann, dass ich die Blumen nicht direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt habe. Ich habe dünneres 3D Tape für die weiter hinten gelegenen sowie dickeres 3D Tape für die vorderen Blumen benutzt. 

Dann habe ich noch 5 Tropfen Nuvo Glitter Drops Honey Gold auf der Karte verteilt.

Ich wollte meinen Kartenaufleger matten, aber mit schwarzer Mattung hat die Karte ein wenig wie eine zu bunt geratene Trauerkarte ausgesehen. Auch dunkelblau hat mir nicht gefallen. Also habe ich mal eine hellere Farbe, nämlich hellgelb, zum Matten verwendet und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

And here I have another picture where you can see, that I didn't glue the flowers directly onto the background. I used some thinner foam tape for the flowers in the background and some thicker tape for the flowers that are more in the foreground.

Then I added 5 drops of Nuvo Glitter Drops Honey Gold to my card.

I wanted to mat my decorated cardstock and tried some black matting. But I thought it looked like a too colorful sympathy card. Also a dark blue matting wasn't what made me happy. So I decided to use a light colored cardstock here, a light yellow cardstock. 

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 28. August 2021

Mit einem neuen Sektch meldet sich das Stempeleinmaleins aus der Sommerpause zurück. Und das ist meine Karte danach - fast eine One Layer Card. Offenbar bin ich nach unserem Post vom 24. Juli doch ein wenig auf den Geschmack gekommen....

With a new sketch Stempeleinmaleins is back from its summer break. And this is the card I made after that sketch - it's nearly a one layer card. Seems like I started to like them a bit after our post from july 24th...

Ich habe hier ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock als Basis genommen und den Sketch einmal horizontal gespiegelt. Eigentlich wäre es so, dass der Bereich für das Motiv unten über das Querelement überstehen würde. Das ist sich aber mit meiner Idee nicht ausgegangen.

Ich hatte zuerst alle Elemente auf die Karte gelegt und dann entschieden, dass so viel schwarz fad ausgesehen hätte. Also habe ich als erstes die Watercolor Wash Stencil von MFT - den Teil der Stencil, mit dem man den inneren Bereich wischen kann - auf den Cardstock gelegt und dann Distress Oxide Wilted Violet und Chipped Sapphire von außen her aufgewischt, so dass in der Mitte noch der schwarze Cardstock zu sehen ist. Das, was in der Mitte dieses Bereiches so silbrig aussieht, ist das Shimmer Spray, das ich dann über diesen Bereich gespritzt habe. In echt sieht es nicht gar so extrem aus, der Schimmer reflektiert das Licht aber recht. 

Rund um den Cardstock habe ich eine Linie mit einem weißen Gelmarker gemacht. Die war mir dann aber doch zu hart, deswegen habe ich sie mit einem grünen Copic übermalt. Dann habe ich den Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklet.

Here I used a piece of black cardstock as the base and mirrored the sketch horizontally. On the original sketch the area for the image is overlapping the element put across the card at the bottom end. But that didn't work with my idea.

First I had placed all the elements onto my cardstock and then decided, that that was too much black. So I took the Watercolor Wash stencil by MFT - the part of it that lets you ink up the inner area - and put down some Distress Oxide Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire, fading into black towards the middle. What looks like silver in the middle of that area is the shimmer spray I sprayed over the opening in the stencil. It isn't that extreme in real life, but the shimmer reflects the light wonderfully on this photo.

I drew a line close to the edges on my black cardstock but then decided, the contrast was too hard. So I used  a green Copic over the white gel pen to change the color. Then I glued the background onto a white note card.

Quer über den aufgewischten "Fleck" habe ich eine Lage grünen Designpapiers geklebt, an dessen oberem Ende habe ich eine Grasstanze verwendet. 

Der süßen Motive aus dem Dandelion Wishes Stempelset von MamaElephant sind alle auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Nur bei den wegfliegenden Pusteblumensamen bin ich anders vorgegangen. Die habe ich mit Versamark in die Mitte des gewischten Bereiches gestempelt und die dann sichtbaren Linien mit einem weißen Gelmarker nachgemalt. So konnte ich die Samen schön weiß darstellen. Embossen wollte ich sie aber nicht, deswegen habe ich zu dieser Lösung gegriffen. 

Die große Pusteblume und der Hase sind durch Masking zusammengestempelt, nur die kleine Pusteblume ist extra aufgeklebt. 

Einen Teil des Textes - dieser ist ebenfalls aus dem Set Dandelion Wishes - habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks embosst und diesen dann neben das Motiv auf das Gras geklebt. Den Rest des Textes aus dem Stempelset Dandy Day von LawnFawn habe ich direkt weiß auf den schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar hellgrüne Nuvo-Drops auf der Karte verteilt.

Across the inked on "spot" I glued down a layer of patterned paper, the top edge is die cut into a grassy shape.

The cute images from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set by MamaElephant are all stamped onto white cardstock, colored and cut out. Only with the parachutes in the center of the inked up area I worked a bit different. I stamped those directly onto the black cardstock with Versamark ink, then used a white gel pen to re-draw the now barely visible stamped lines. Now the parachutes look white and fluffy. I didn't want to heat emboss them so this was my solution to get the look I was after.

The big dandelion and the bunny are masked together, only the small one is an idividual image.

One part of the text - this is also from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set - is white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock, then glued next to the image onto the grass. The rest of the text is from the Dandy Day stamp set by LawnFawn is white heat embossed directly onto the black background cardstock. 

In the end I added a few light green Nuvo Drops to my card.

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stampcorner Blog nochmal eine Karte mit einem Motiv aus dem süßen Baby Bunny Stempelset. Bisher hatte ich ja erst eines der Motive aus dem Set verwendet, und dabei sind sie doch alle so süß! Heute hat es der schlafende Hase auf dem Mond auf die Karte geschafft.

Over at the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing another card with one of the cute images from the Baby Bunny stamp set. So far I had only used one of the images, but they are all so cute! Today the sleeping bunny on the moon made it onto this card.

Es ist wieder eine Slimline Card geworden. Je mehr ich davon mache, desto mehr mag ich sie! Aber schuld war die Slimline Clouds Stanze von WhimsyStamps. Die war einfach perfekt für dieses 

Motiv! 

Ich habe ein Stück weißen Cardstock in der Größe der Stanze zugeschnitten und von unten mit Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt. Dann habe ich erst etwas Wasser und anschließend weiße Acrylfarbe über den Cardstock gespritzt. 

Die nächste Lage bildete die Slimline Clouds Stanze, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock. Ich habe die Wolken ein wenig mit Copics schattiert und dann etwas Nuvo Shimmer Powder Lunar darüber gesprüht. Dafür habe ich einfach ein klein wenig des Pulvers in einen Mini Mister gegeben, mit Wasser aufgefüllt, geschüttelt und dann über den Cardstock gesprüht. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich den Wolkenhintergrund mit 3D Tape auf den vorher gewischten Untergrund geklebt. 

Außenherum habe ich dann noch einen schwarzen Rahmen hinzugefügt. Dafür habe ich einfach die Slimline Cloud Stanze nochmal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und die Wolken herausgeschnitten. Auch dieser Rahmen ist mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Again I've made a slimline card. The more I make of these, the more I love them! But here it is the Slimline Cloud die by WhismyStamps to be blamed. This background was just perfect to go with this image!

I've cut a piece of white cardstock the size of the die and then inked it up with Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Then I flicked some water and some white acrylic paint over the cardstock.

The next layer is the Slimline Cloud die cut, cut from white cardstock. I used my Copics to lightly shade the clouds and then sprayed some Nuvo Shimmer Powder Lunar over it. I simply put a small amount of the powder into a Mini Mister, filled it up with water and sprayed it onto the cardstock. After it had dried I glued the cloud layer onto the background, using foam tape for dimension.

I also wanted a black frame around my scene. I simply die cut the Slimline Cloud die again from black cardstock, cut off the clouds and glued it onto the white cloud frame, again using foam tape.

Den süßen Hasen habe ich ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich ihn ausgeschnitten und auf die Wolken geklebt. Dabei habe ich den oberen und unteren Rand jeweils auf einer Wolke befestigt, so dass der Hase die selbe Höhe wie die Wolken hat. 

Die Sterne im Hintergrund sind ebenfalls aus dem Baby Bunny Stempelset und mit Copics coloriert. Ich habe sie einzeln ausgeschnitten und zwischen den Wolken auf dem Hintergrund verteilt. 

Einen Text brauchte meine Karte natürlich auch. Hier habe ich die Spell Anything Alphabet Stanzen von MFT benutzt. Die finde ich mit dem Mix aus Groß- und Kleinbuchstaben einfach klasse. Allerdings waren sie größer/breiter, als ich gedacht hatte. Deswegen musste ich die Buchstaben doch sehr überlappend aufkleben, damit sie auf die Breite meiner Karte passten. Ich habe die Buchstaben ebenfalls aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die kleinen Punkte sind mit Spica Pens von Copics sowie einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Dadurch sieht es so aus, als würde das Wort glitzern. Den Rest des Textes habe ich aus einer Kombination zweier Stempel aus den Sets Dandy Day und Tiny Gingerbread von LawnFawn gemacht. Die Worte sind mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und dann auf die Karte aufgeklebt.

Zusammen mit der Slimline Cloud Stanze kommen noch einige einzelne Wolkenstanzen. Davon habe ich ebenfalls drei aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, ein wenig schattiert und, teilweise außen auf dem Rahmen, aufgeklebt.

 

The cute bunny is also colored with Copics. Then I cut him out and glued him onto the clouds. I attached the bottom and top edge to a different cloud so the bunny is on the same level as the clouds.

The stars in the background are also from the Baby Bunny stamp set and colored with Copics. I cut them out individually and arranged them on the background, making sure they aren't covered by any of the clouds.

My card also needed a text. Here I used the Spell Anything Alphabet dies by MFT. I just love the mix of uppercase and lowercase letters. But they were a lot larger/wider than I had thought. And so I had to overlap the letters quite a bit to make the word fit the width of my card. I've die cut the letters from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. The small dots are made with Spica Pens by Copics and a white gel pen. Now the letters seem to glitter. The rest of the text is made by combining two stamps from the Dandy Day and the Tiny Gingerbread stamp sets by LawnFawn. They are white heat embossed onto black cardstock and then glued onto the card.

With the Slimline Cloud die there also come a few individual clouds. I've die cut three of them from white cardstock, added a hint of shading and then glued them onto the card, making two of them overlap with the frame.

 

 Und hier habe ich noch ein weiteres Bild, auf dem man die verschiedenen Lagen und die Dreidimensionalität der Karte sowie den Schimmer auf den großen Wolken gut erkennen kann.

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog eine weitere Karte. Und irgendwie stelle ich fest, dass dieser August bei mir "Hintergrund"-Monat ist. Auf fast allen Karten habe ich einen Hintergrundstempel oder eine -stanze benutzt, die nicht nur im Hintergrund verschwinden, sondern ein Hauptelement auf der Karte sind. So auch hier.

Today I am sharing another card over at the Stamping-Faires Blog. And I just realized, that this august seems to be background month for me. On nearly all of my cards I used a background stamp or die, that are not only the background of my card but also a main element. Also on today's card.

Hier habe ich den City Block Background von MFT benutzt. Ich habe ihn einfach mit schwarzer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Zuerst hatte ich überlegt, ihn aufzuembossen, mich aber dann doch für normales Stempeln entschieden. 

Ich wollte zwei Häuser, zwischen denen die lieben Grüße hin- und hergeschickt werden, etwas hervorheben. Deswegen habe ich sie ganz rudimentär mit Copics in hellem Blau und Braungrau coloriert. Außerdem habe ich die beiden Sprechblasen mit Herz aus dem I Miss your Hugs Stempelset mit schwarzem Embossingpulver auf roten Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und über die beiden colorierten Häuser mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Den Hintergrund habe ich schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here I used the City Block Background by MFT. I simply stamped it onto a piece of white cardstock. I thought about black heat embossing it first, but then went with regular stamping.

I wanted to highlight the two houses, between the love is sent back and forth. And so I did some very simple coloring with my Copics on those, using light blues and brown-ish greys. Then I black heat embossed the two speech bubbles with the hearts from the I Miss your Hugs stamp set onto some red cardstock, cut them out and glued them above those houses with some thin foam tape.

I matted the background black and glued it onto a white note card.

Unten habe ich quer über die Karte ein ausgestanztes love, gemacht mit der Lots of Love Stanze, aufgeklebt. Das habe ich ein paar Mal aus rotem Cardstock ausgestanzt, die Ausstanzungen aufeinander geklebt und als oberste Lage noch ein aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanztes Love aufgesetzt. Das habe ich dann mit Glossy Accents überzogen, so dass es schön glänzt. In das Herz, das das O bildet, habe ich dann noch einnmal das rote Herz, das in der Mitte ausgestanzt wird, eingesetzt. 

Den Rest des Textes habe ich aus zwei Stempeln aus dem Set Feel Better zusammengesetzt. Die Worte sind mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und über bzw. unter dem ausgestanzten Wort auf die Karte geklebt.

At the bottom I glued a die cut love, made with the Lots of Love die, across the card. I've die cut it several times from red cardstock, stacked those on top of each other and added one die cut from black cardstock as the top layer. I covered that with some Glossy Accents to make it nice and shiny. I also glued the cut out of the heart that builds the o into the stacked words, using just one of the red die cuts.

The rest of the text is made using two stamps from the Feel Better stamp set. They are white heat embossed onto black cardstock and then glued above and under the die cut word.

Und hier habe ich noch ein Bild, das ich etwas von der Seite aufgenommen habe. Hier kann man die roten Lagen unter dem schwarzen Love erkennen - ich finde, die roten Seiten geben dem ganzen etwas Besonderes.

And here I have a pic that I took with a bit of an angle. Here you can see the red layers underneath the black die cut love - I think those red "sides" add a special touch here.

Ich will doch nur spielen...

Kennt Ihr das - man verweigert sich einem Produkt so lange, dass es für alle anderen schon ein alter Hut ist. Und dann stolpert man über ein Projekt, das einen total fasziniert - und ja, das ist genau mit diesem Produkt gemacht. Und dann braucht man es doch. So ging es mir mit den Distress Sprays. Ich als Kontrollfreak konnte mir einfach nicht vorstellen, damit glücklich zu werden. Und dann bin ich vor kurzem über ein Video von AmyR gestolpert, in dem dieser Hintergrund mit Distress Sprays gemacht wird. Was soll ich sagen - einige Einkäufe später ist dann diese Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige, von meinem Tisch gehüpft....

Do you know what I talk about, when I say, that you refuse to buy or try a product for so long, that it is kind of an old thing for all the others. And then you come across a project that you totally fall in love with - and yes, it's exactly that product used on it and you have to have it. It was for me like this with the Distress Sprays. For my inner controll freak it was impossible that I could be happy with these. And then I came across a video by AmyR, where she creates this background with the Distress Sprays. What should I say - a few orders later this card, that I'm sharing at the Stampcorner Blog today, came off my desk....

Für diesen Hintergrund kamen die Sprays Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn und Black Soot zum Einsatz. Aber ich habe gleich noch mehr in anderen Farbtönen gemacht. Für den Mond wird vor dem Aufsprühen der Farbe ein Kreis aus Yupo auf das Watercolor Paper gelegt, nachdem der Hintergrund gesprüht ist, wird der Kreis abgenommen und ganz leicht ebenfalls mit Wasser besprüht - dadurch zieht sich die Farbe so toll in den Kreis hinein. Für Halloweenkarten einfach perfekt! 

Ich habe noch ein wenig weiße Acrylfarbe über den Hintergrund gespritzt und dann einen ausgestanzten Rahmen mit Trauerweide, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, darüber gelegt.

For the background I used Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn and Black Soot. But I also made a few more in different colors. For the moon a circle, die cut from Yupo, is put onto the watercolor cardstock, after the ink is sprayed onto the cardstock, the circle is taken off and the moon gets lightly misted with water. That makes the ink flow into the circle in this eerie way - just perfect for Halloween cards! 

I also added some speckles with white acrylic paint over the background and then glued this die cut frame with a willow tree, die cut from black cardstock, on top.

Hier könnt Ihr den Mond nochmal besser sehen. Für die grüne Farbe im Mond habe ich übrigens den getrockneten Hintergrund noch einige Male vorsichtig in die noch nassen Farbflecken, die noch auf meiner Media Mat waren, gedrückt. 

Hier könnt Ihr auch gleich den Text meiner Karte sehen. Ich habe eine der Sprechblasen aus dem Comic Speech Bubbles Stanzenset von WhimsyStamps aus Vellum gestanzt und dann den Text mit schwarzem Embossingpulver aufembosst.

Here you get a better look at the moon. For the green color splotches on the moon I carefully pressed the dried background into the still wet ink, that was left on my Media Mat. 

Here you can also see the text - it means "all I want to do is play...". I have no idea, if this makes sense in english, in german it is used to say "I am not going to do you any harm". I've die cut one of the Comic Speech Bubbles by WhimsyStamps from Vellum and then black heat embossed the text onto it.

Und hier ist er - der geniale Tod aus einem neuen Stempelset von Stampcorner, designed von Oma Plott. In den habe ich mich sofort verliebt! Und neben dem auf meiner Karte benutzten Text gibt es im Set noch einen, der lautet "So viele Idioten und nur eine Sense.". Den finde ich auch klasse, für meine Karte war er aber einfach zu groß. Bei dem hier verwendeten Text, bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher, ob der Tod todtraurig ist, weil alle vor ihm davonlaufen, oder ob es eventuell ein Lockruf sein soll.

Ich habe den Tod, genauso wie die anderen Motive, mit Copics coloriert und dabei hauptsächlich dunkle Farben verwendet. Auf meiner Karte ist schließlich gerade Nacht. Die Highlights sind wieder mit einem weißen Gelpen gemacht.

Die Grabsteine hinter dem Mond sind aus einem recht alten Stempelset von MFT mit dem Namen Grave Situation. Es waren die einzigen, die ich hatte, die von der Größe her gut zum Tod passten. Und der Rabe auf einem der Steine ist natürlich genial. Nicht mal er traut sich, den Tod anzusehen. 

And here he is - the Grim Reaper himself. I just fell in love with him the moment I saw the stamp. And beside the text I used on this card, there's also another one in the set saying "so many idiots and just one scythe". I just love this one as well but it was a bit too large for my card. With the text I used here I am not sure, if the Grim Reaper is really sad because everyone is running from him or if he's just trying to lure someone in.

I colored the Grim Reaper, and all other images on this card, with Copics and used dark colors mainly. Well, after all it's night on my card. For the white highlights I used a gel pen again.

The tombstones behind the Grim Reaper are from a quite old stamp set by MFT calles Grave Situation. These were the only ones I had that went perfectly with the death size wise. And also the crow on one of the tombstones is great - even it doesn't dare to look the Grim Reaper into the eyes. 

Süßer Honigbär

Auf meiner heutigen Karte habe ich den süßen Honigbär von JM-Creation verbastelt. Der ist so süß - und mit dem Honig hat sich ein "honigsüßer" Text einfach angeboten.

On today's card I used this cute honey bear by JM-Creation. He's so cute and with the honey around his mouth and the honey pot behind him a card with "greetings as sweet as honey" seemed appropriate.

Ich habe hier ein Stück dunkelbraunen Cardstock verwendet und ein paar Spritzer goldener Schimmer-Wasserfarbe darauf gespritzt. 

Für die Sechsecke, die ein wenig wie Honigwaben wirken sollen, habe ich den Aufleger der Sechseckschachtel verwendet. Ich habe ihn aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und mir dann eine Schablone gebastelt, bei der ich den inneren Teil herausgeschnitten habe. Den Innenbereich der Sechsecke habe ich dann mit Distress Oxide Spiced Marmelade und Wild Honey gewischt. Den Bereich außenherum habe ich mit Copics schattiert, so dass die Sechsecke wirklich wie Honigwaben aussehen.

Here I've cut a piece of brown cardstock and added a few drops of golden metallic watercolor to it.

I've die cut a few hexagons from yellow cardstock and made myself a mask where the middle of a hexagon is cut out. I inked up the inner areas with Distress Oxide Spiced Marmelade and Wild Honey. Then I used my Copics to shade the outer area to create a frame and make the hexagons look like real honeycombs.

Und hier ist der süße Bär. Er schaut ja doch ein wenig schuldbewusst drein. Ob ihm vielleicht vorher gesagt wurde, der Honig sei tabu? Aber so goldig wie er ist, kann ihm bestimmt keiner böse sein. Ich habe ihn mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und auf die Honigwaben geklebt.

Oben auf zwei der Waben habe ich herabtropfenden Honig geklebt. Dafür habe ich mit einer alten Drippy-Goo Handstanze goldenen Spiegelcardstock ausgestanzt und ihn dann an die Form der Honigwaben angepasst. 

Für das Wort Honig habe ich die ABC mit Rand Stanzen benutzt. Ich habe die Buchstaben aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt und nur die inneren Teile der Buchstaben verwendet. Auch hier läuft jeweils goldener Honig am oberen Rand der Buchstaben herunter. 

Die kleinen Bienen, die rund um den Bären herum fliegen, sind einzelne Stempel, die mit dem Bären im Set kommen. Ich habe sie jeweils ausgeschnitten und auf die Karte geklebt.

Der Text "so süß" ist aus dem Stempelset Lustiges Gebäck, der Text "süßer Gruß" ist mit einem Teil eines der Stempel aus dem Set Kleiner Süßer Gruß gemacht. Ich habe einfach den Rest des Textstempels beim Abstempeln abgedeckt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar goldene Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt.

And here's the cute bear. He looks kind of guilty. Maybe someone told him to not touch the honey? Well, as cute as he looks no one will be mad at him for a longer period of time. I've colored him with Copics, cut him out and glued them on top of the honeycombs.

I let some honey drop down from two of the honeycombs. I used the good old Drippy Goo punch here and some golden mirror cardstock. Then I made the top match the shape of the honeycombs.

For the word honey I used some abc dies and cut those from brown cardstock and let some more honey drip from the top of the letters as well.

The little bees that are flying around the bear are individual stamps, coming in the same set as the bear. I've cut them out and glued them onto the card.

The little text above the bear means "so sweet" and was just perfect for this card.

In the end I added a few golden sequins all over the card.

 

 Und hier habe ich zu guter Letzt noch ein Bild, auf dem Ihr den Glanz des Spiegelkartons und vor allem den Kontrast zum kraftfarbenen Cardstock besser sehen könnt. 

And  at the end I have another picture where you can see the shine of the mirror cardstock and the real contrast it builds to the craft colored cardstock better.

Und ich fand es viel zu schade, den Rest wegzuwerfen. Also habe ich die vielen kleinen Ausstanzungen für eine weitere Karte verwendet. Und die zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog.

Do you rememer the shaker card I shared last week, made with the Leafy Layer Cover-Up by MFT? Well, there wasn't much of my inked up background visible on this card. And I thought it would be way too much of it to throw away. So I used all the tiny pieces for another card, that I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today. 

Ich sage Euch, diese Karte hat mich Nerven gekostet - und zwei Anläufe. Das lag aber an meinen Denkfehlern. Und hinter den zweiten von mir gewischten Cardstock hatte ich eine Lage Sticky Tape geklebt. Das wollte aber die Stanze nicht schneiden. Also habe ich jedes der kleinen Teile mit einem Cutter per Hand nachgeschnitten und dann auf ein Stück Folie geklebt. Ich glaube, es hat Stunden gedauert, aber das Ergebnis war es wert. Ich finde den Hintergrund klasse. Als ich die Karte meinem Mann gezeigt und ihm von der Entstehung erzählt habe, hat er nur gefragt, ob mich einweisen lassen soll.... ;)

Hinter einigen der kleinen Blatt-Teile habe ich Stücke von 3D Tape versteckt, mit dem ich den Hintergrund dann auf ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock geklebt habe. Inspiriert hat mich dazu die Floating Stripes Technik, nach der ich ja vor einiger Zeit bereits eine Karte gemacht habe. Mit all den kleinen Teilchen macht diese Technik mit der Folie hier wirklich Sinn!

Den Cardstock hatte ich mit Distress Oxide Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness und Evergreen Bough gewischt, Wasser darüber gespritzt und anschließend noch ein wenig grüne Metallik-Wasserfarbe darüber verteilt. 

I can tell you, this card really costed me a bunch of nerves - and a restart since I had to throw my first inked up background away after messing up the technique. But it was all my fault. Behind the second readily inked background I glued some Sticky Tape - and the die didn't cut through that. So I used a little cutter and re-cut all the edges of each of these small pieces and then transfered it to a sheet of acteate. It took me hours but the result was worth each minute put into it. I just love this leaf background made with the inner leaf pieces. When I showed this card to my husband and told him about how I made it he just asked if he needs to send me to a madhouse... ;)

I've hidden small pieces of foam tape behind some of the leaf pieces and then glued the background onto a piece of black cardstock. This cards was kind of inspired by the Floating Strips technique that I shared a card with a little ago. And I have to tell, with all those tiny pieces the technique with the acetate really made sense here!

For the background I had inked up a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness and Evergreen Bough, spritzed some water and also some green metallic watercolor over it.

Nachdem der Hintergrund so viel Arbeit gemacht hat, wollte ich auch hier möglichst wenig davon verdecken. Aber ein Motiv und einen Text sollte meine Karte dann doch haben. 

Ich habe einen Teil der Dahlie aus dem Stempelset Beautiful Bloom von MFT abgestempelt und mit Copics in Rosatönen coloriert - die einzelnen Blütenblätter sind von kräftigem zu ganz zartem Pink verlaufend. 

Ich habe die Blüte, oder zumindest den von mir verweneten Teil, ausgeschnitten und ebenfalls mit 3D Tape in der unteren linken Ecke auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Da ich beide Karten direkt nacheinander gewerkelt habe, hatte ich die "Zutaten" der letzten Karte noch auf dem Tisch. Und im Stempelset Well, Hello fand ich auch für diese Karte einen passenden Spruch. Den habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks embosst und den Streifen dann ebenfalls mit 3D Tape quer über Blüte und Hintergrund geklebt.

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar kleine Nuvo White Blizzard Drops auf der Karte verteilt.

After the background took so much effort and time, again I didn't want to cover up too much of it. But of course my card needed an image and a text.

I used  a part of the dahlia stamp from the Beautiful Bloom stamp by MFT and colored it in shades of pink with my Copics. I colored each petal from a dark and vibrant pink fading into a very soft pink.

I cut out the flower - or at least the part I wanted to use - and then glued it onto the background in the bottom left corner, again using foam tape.

Since I made both cards directly after each other I still had everything I used on the last one laying on my table. And again I found a matching sentiment in the Well, Hello stamp set. I white heat embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock and then used dimensionals to glue it across the flower and background. 

For decoration I added a few small Nuvo White Blizzard Drops on my card.

Und auch von dieser Karte habe ich ein weiteres Bild - ich wollte die Dreidimensionalität der Floating Strips (oder hier besser Blätter) Technik besser zeigen, in mir aber nicht sicher, ob Ihr das so sehen könnt. Die Folie spiegelt doch recht. Ich kann es erkennen, weiß allerdings, wie die Technik "in echt" aussieht. 

And also of this card I took another picture - trying to show you the dimension this Floating Strips (or better leaves in this case) technique creates. But I'm not sure if you can see it since the acetate is mirroring the room and light. I can see it but I also know what this card/technique looks in real life.

Ein Lesezeichen

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stampcorner Blog ein Werk mit einem der tollen neuen Stempelsets aus dem August-Release von Stampcorner. Und weil es sich bei dem von mir gewählten Motiv einfach angeboten hat und mir außerdem mal nach etwas anderem als eine Karte war, ist ein Lesezeichen entstanden.

Today over at the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing a project with one of the new stamp sets from the august release by Stampcorner. And since it just was the right thing with the image from the set I picked and also becaues I felt like making something different than a card I made a bookmark for a change.

Mein Lesezeichen ist gut 23 cm lang geworden. Ich habe die Basis aus weißem Cardstock geschnitten, darauf kam ein Stück Designpapier mit Buchstaben-Stempeln, den ich in meiner Restkiste gefunden habe. Ich war mir sicher, irgendwo ein Stück mit Büchern zu haben - und bin es immer noch - aber ich habe es einfach nicht gefunden und so habe ich die Buchstaben gewählt, die doch auch ganz gut passen.

Der lange schmale Streifen ist aus schwarzem Cardstock geschnitten. Mit dem Word Punch Board von We'R'Memory Keepers habe ich en Text "es war einmal" daraus ausgestanzt und dabei zwischen es und war soviel Platz gelassen, dass ich dort mein Motiv aufkleben konnte. Den schwarzen Streifen habe ich dunkelgelb gemattet, am linken Ende nach hinten gefalzt und zwischen den weißen Cardstock und das Designpapier des Lesezeichens geklet. Am rechten Ende des schmalen Streifens befindet sich ein Magnet zwischen den beiden Lagen, das Gegenstück ist unter dem Designpapier auf dem weißen Cardstock versteckt. 

Am linken Ende habe ich drei Kreise aufgeklebt, einen weißen, einen gelben und einen schwarzen. Aus dem schwarzen Cardstock habe ich vor dem Zusammenkleben einen Stern ausgestanzt. Also Deko habe ich einen gelben Glitzerstein sowie eine kleine weiße Schleife aufgeklebt. Die gestackten Kreise habe ich am linken Ende des Lesezeichens angeklebt und von hinten noch einen weiteren Kreis dagegen geklebt.

My bookmark is about 23 cm tall. I've cut the base from white cardstock, then glued a piece of patterned paper with wooden letter stamps, that I found in my stash of left overs, on top. I was - and still am - pretty sure that I have some patterned paper with a books print but I just wasn't able to find it. So I picked the ones with the letters that I think fit this purpose as good as the one with the books.

The long thin strip is cut from black cardstock. Using the Word Punch Board by We'R'Memory Keepers I've punched the text "once upon a time" from it and left enough room between the words to add my image there. I matted this strip with some dark yellow cardstock, folded the left end over and glued it between the patterned paper and the white bookmark base. On the right end of this black strip I've glued a magnet between the yellow and the black cardstock, the other one is put between the patterned paper and the white cardstock.

On the left end of my bookmark I've added three circles, a white, a yellow and a black on. I've cut a star out of the black one before glueing it down and added a yellow rhinestone and a little bow, tied from white twine. I glued the stacked circles to the left end of my bookmark and glued another white circle behind them from the back.

Hier könnt Ihr das Motiv endlich besser sehen. Der süße Hase liest dem Bären eine spannende Geschichte vor. Und die will die kleine Ente natürlich nicht verpassen! Die Ente ist ein extra Motiv aus dem Set, aber die beiden Motive ließen sich so wunderbar kombinieren. 

Coloriert habe ich mit Copics und nach dem Ausschneiden die Motive nur auf dem schmalen schwarzen Streifen aufgeklebt.

Die Sterne im Hintergrund sind ebenfalls aus dem neuen Stempelset. Ich habe sie auf dem Designpapier angeordnet und ein paar gelbe Glitzersteine mit dazugeklebt.

And here you get a better look at the image. The cute bunny is reading a story to the little bear. And of course the duck doesn't want to miss out on that! The duck is an extra image from the set but the two images were just wonderful to combine.

I did the coloring with Copics, then glued the images only to the thin black strip after cutting them out.

The stars in the background are also from this set. I arranged them on the patterned paper and put a few more rhinestones next to them.

Und so würde das Lesezeichen dann in einem Buch aussehen. Ich hatte gerade keines zur Hand, also habe ich einen Bogen Designpapier verwendet. Die Basis des Lesezeichens befindet sich hinter der Seite, der schmale Streifen mit dem Motiv darauf. Die Magnete halten das Lesezeichen an Ort und Stelle, so dass es nicht herausfallen kann. Und durch die Kreise, die oben über das Buch überstehen, weiß man sofort, wo sich das Lesezeichen befindet.

And this is what the bookmark looks in use. I didn't have a book at hand when I took the picture so I used a sheet of patterned paper instead. The base of the bookmark is behind the page, the thin strip with the image on top. The magnets hold the bookmark in place so it can't fall out of the book. And due to the circles that would be stand out of the top of the book you know exactly where the bookmark is.

Was auch immer sich hinter diesem Fenster abspielt - die Bären drängeln sich geradezu davor. Da wird man selbst ein wenig neugierig...

Whatever there is to see behind this window - the bears are absolutly eager to get a glimpse. Makes me get curious myself!

Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstock als Grundlage verwendet und im oberen Bereich mit grauer Tinte ein paar Mauersteine aufgestempelt. 

Dann habe ich mit der Fensterstanze und dem dazugehörigen Rechteck das Fenster an sich zweimal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Das Rechteck habe ich an der Stelle, an der ich später das Fenster haben wollte aus allen Lagen der Karte - also weißer Cardstock, schwarze Mattung und Kartenrohling ausgestanzt. Zwischen den Kartenrohling und die schwarze Mattung habe ich noch eine Fensterscheibe aus Folie eingesetzt. Darauf konnte ich dann gut das Fenster festkleben.

Here I used a piece of white cardstock and stamped a few bricks onto the upper half with grey ink. 

Then I used the window die and the rectangle that comes with it and die cut the window twice from black cardstock. The rectangle I've die cut from all three layers of this card - the white cardstock with the stamped on bricks, the black matting and the note card, placing the die in the height I wanted the window to be. Between the note card and the black matting I've put a window pane from acetate. That gave me something to glue my window to.

 

Die süßen Bären sind mit dem Stempel Bärengruppe 1 gemacht. Hm, ich weiß, der sieht anders aus... Ich habe das Motiv einmal auf weißes Kopierpapier abgestempelt und das auf den Kopf gelegt. Dann habe ich die Stempellinien gespiegelt auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock, den ich zum Colorieren benutze, abgepaust und dabei nur die Konturen der Bären nachgemalt, so dass man sie von hinten sieht. Die Schwänzchen habe ich einfach per Hand hinzugefügt. Dann habe ich das Motiv mit Copics coloriert. 

Die Spechblasen sind aus dem Stanzenset Sprechblasen 2. Ich habe sie aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt und die Ausrufe aus einzelnen Buchstaben, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock mit dem ABC 1 Stanzenset, zusammengesetzt. 

Dann habe ich noch unter den Bären eine graue Linie gemalt und ein wenig schattiert, damit die Bären nicht buchstäblich in der Luft hängen.

I used a bear group stamp here, and originally you have all the eyes and arms etc drawn into the image. I stamped it onto copy paper, put it face down on my table and then copied the mirrored image onto the cardstock that I use for coloring, only drawing the outer lines to make it look like they are seen from behind. The tails are simply added by me. Then I colored the image.

I placed two speech bubles, cut from grey cardstock, on the card and added the bears' surprised calls to them by die cutting individual letters from black cardstock and glueing them onto the bubbles.

Then I've drawn a line underneath the bears and shaded it a bit so the bears don't float in the air.

Und so sieht die geöffnete Karte aus! Voilà, da sieht man die Bären auch von vorne! Ist es nicht süß, wie sie neugierig durchs Fenster schauen? 

And this is the opened card. Voilà, now you can also see the bears from the front! Isn't it too cute how they peek through the window?

Jetzt dürfte sich auch erklären, warum ich das Motiv gespiegelt abgemalt habe - die beiden Bärenmotive sollten natürlich aufeinander passen! Ich habe sie gegeneinander und dann auf die Vorderseite der Karte geklebt.

Auch innen habe ich ein gestanztes Fenster deckungsgleich auf das von außen aufgeklebte aufgeklebt. 

Die Vorhänge habe ich aus Vellum gestanzt und mit Copics ein klein wenig die Falten nachgemalt. Aufgeklebt sind sie nur unter dem schmalen Streifen grauen Cardstocks, den ich quer über das Fenster geklebt habe, sowie unter den eh doppelt liegenden Raffern. Durch das Vellum kann man sowohl von außen als auch von innen jeweils ein wenig des hinter dem Fenster liegenden Motiv sehen.

 

Now it's also clear why I mirrored the image when drawing the lines for the bears' backs - of course both images needed to fit together perfectly. I glued them on top of each other and then onto the front of the card.

I glued another window to the inside of the card.

The curtains are die cut from vellum. I used my Copics to just highlight the pleats a bit. Then I only glued them down under the small strip of grey cardstock that I added as a curtain rod and under the things that hold the middle of the curtains aside since they are already stacked. Through the vellum you can see a bit from the image behind the window, both from the inside and the outside of the card. 

Und das ist es, was die Bären von außen durchs Fenster gesehen haben. Ich habe diesen Platz der Karte für den Text genutzt, der auf der Vorderseite ja fehlt.

Hier habe ich das Rechteck, das bei der Fensterstanze dabei ist, aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt und ins Innere der Karte geklebt. 

Oben über das Rechteck habe ich ein Partybanner gespannt, auch das kann man bereits von außen sehen. Ich habe die Fähnchen aus helltürkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und zwei von ihnen mit einem weißen Gelpen mit Linien verziert.

Das "du hast" und das "von uns allen" habe ich mit dem Dymo geschrieben, denn da hatte ich keinen passenden Stempel. Unter das "du hast" habe ich ein gestanztes Geburtstag geklebt - ich habe jeweils ein schwarzes und ein türkisfarbenes gestanztes Wort leicht versetzt übereinander geklebt, so dass es sich etwas mehr vom Grau im Hintergrund abhebt.

Das Glückwunsch ist aus dem Stempelset Frisch Gedruckt. Ich habe türkisfarbene Tinte zum Abstempeln benutzt und den Streifen dann unter dem Geburtstag aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar Herzchen verteilt. Die habe ich mit einer weiteren Stanze aus dem Set Büttenrand, Banner und Bordüren, aus dem auch das Partybanner ist, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und sie zusätzlich ein wenig beglittert.

And that's what the bears have seen through the window. I used this area of the card for my sentiment since it's missing on the front of the card.

Here I've die cut the rectangle, that comes with the window die, from grey cardstock and glued it inside the card.

Across the rectangle I've hung up a party banner, also this was already visible from the outside of the card. I've die cut the banners from light turquoise cardstock and added a few lines with a white gel pen to two of them.

The text means "it's your birthday - congrats from all of us". I've mixed a stamp, a die cut and two strips made with my Dymo to write the text.

In the end I've added a few hearts. They are die cut from white cardstock and I put a bit of glitter on top of them.

Auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige ich heute diese Shaker Card mit der tollen Leafy Layer Cover-Up Stanze von MFT. Die ist ein wunderbarer Hintergrund für alle möglichen Motive.

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this shaker card using the great Leafy Layer Cover-Up die by MFT today. This is a wonderful background for all kinds of images.

Hier habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness und Evergreen Bough gewischt und ein paar Wassertropfen darauf gespritzt. Dann habe ich auch noch grüne Metallik-Wasserfarbe darüber gespritzt und nach dem Trocknen den Hintergrund mit der Leafy Layer Cover-Up Stanze daraus ausgestanzt.

Die Ausstanzung habe ich dann auf eine Lage Folie geklebt. Von hinten habe ich fünf aufeinander gestapelte Ausstanzungen dieser Stanze geklebt. Die sind alle aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, anschließend habe ich die ganzen Blattrippen rausgeschnitten und nur die längs in den Blättern verlaufenden Stege und die Außenränder der Blätter stehengelassen. Das hat zwar einige Zeit gedauter und war eine riesige Sauerei, aber so konnte ich jedes Blatt einzeln mit kleinen Kügelchen in Gold, Metallik-Grün und durchsichtig Grün füllen. Zum Verschließen habe ich schwarzen Cardstock von hinten dagegen geklebt.

Here I inked up a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness and Evergreen Bough, then spritzed some water onto the color. I also added some speckles with a green metallic watercolor and die cut the Leafy Layer Cover-Up from this cardstock after the paint had dried.

I glued the die cut onto a piece of acetate and glued five stacked up die cuts of this background to the back of the acetate. Before glueing those down I've cut off all the small lines in the leaves, only leaving the outlines of the leaves and the one in the middle of each leaf there. To cut these out took quite some time and was a big mess, but this way I was able to fill each leaf individually with some tiny golden, metallic green and translucent green beads. To close the shaker I glued a piece of black cardstock to its back.

Natürlich duften Text und auch ein Motiv nicht fehlen, ich wollte aber möglichst wenig von dem Shaker überdecken.

Daher habe ich die Little Hello Stanze benutzt, um das Wort samt Schatten zu schneiden. Für den Schatten habe ich matten goldenen Cardstock benutzt, das hello ist aus hell-türkisfarbenem Carstock gestanzt. Auch hier habe ich drei Worte aufeinaner geklebt, um für etwas Dimension zu sorgen.

Für den Rest des Textes habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Well, Hello Stempelset mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf einen kleinen Streifen des hellgrünen Cardstocks embosst, zugeschnitten und mit 3D Tape unter das ausgesetanzte Hello geklebt.

Der tolle Schmetterling ist aus dem Stempelset Brilliant Butterflies. Das ist zwar ausverkauft, es gibt aber ein Folgeset mit dem Namen More Brilliant Butterflies, in dem weitere Schmetterlinge in dieser Art enthalten sind.

Ich habe die vollflächigen Flügel es Schmetterlings mit drei verschiedenen Türkistönen von MFT gestempelt - von innen nach außen heller werdend. Ich habe Sno Cone, Berrylicious und Summer Splash verwendet. Den Körper habe ich mit dem Extreme Black Stempelkissen von MFT gemacht. Und der tolle verzierte Flügel ist mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf Vellum embosst. Alle Teile sind nur unter dem Körper zusammengeklebt, so konnte ich die Flügel ein wenig nach oben biegen, was ebenfalls für mehr Plastik sorgt.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch eine paar goldene Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt.

Of course my card needed a text and a image but I tried to cover as little of the shaker as possible.

So I used the Little Hello die to die cut the word and its shadow. For the shadow I used some mat golden mirror cardstock, the hello is die cut form a light turquoise. Again I stacked three of these on top of each other for some more dimension on the card. 

For the rest of the text I used one of the texts from the Well, Hello stamp set and golden heat embossed it onto a strip of the same light turquoise cardstock. I cut it into a banner and then glued it under the hello using foam tape.

The great butterfly is from the Brilliant Butterflies stamp set. This is sold out but there's a second set called More Brilliant Butterflies with more butterflies like this. 

I stamped the filled wings with three different tones of turquoise ink by MFT, getting lighter from the middle to the tip of the wings. I used Sno Cone, Berrylicious and Summer Splash. The body is stamped with the Extreme Black ink pad. And for the great decorated wing I used a piece of vellum and heat embossed the wings onto it again using gold embossing powder. The pieces of the butterfly are only glued together under the body - so I was able to fold the wings up a bit for even more dimension.

In the end I added a few golden sequins.

Und weil die Karte so toll schimmert und glitzert, habe ich hier noch ein Bild für Euch, auf dem ich probiert habe, das für Euch einzufangen.

MFT Camp Create 2021 - Tag 5

 

Tag 5 des Camp Create 2021 von MFT ist gleichzeitig der letzte. Und das Thema dafür lautete Delightful Die Cutting. Natürlich durften auch Stempel verwendet werden, aber Die Cutting sollte auf jeden Fall integriert sein. Und das ist mir dazu eingefallen.

Day 5 of Camp Create 2021 by MFT is also the last one of this event. And the theme was Delightful Die Cutting. Of course using stamps was also allowed, but Die Cutting had to be included. And that's what I came up with.

Ich habe hier die Brick Wall Cover-Up Stanze aus schwarzem Cardstock ausgestanzt und mit grünem Cardstock hinterlegt. Dann habe ich den Hintergrund auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here I've die cut the Brick Wall Cover-Up die from black cardstock and put some green cardstock behind it. Then I glued the background onto a white note card.

Und das ist meine Deko mit vielen Stanzteilen. 

Im Hintergrund habe ich je eines der Elegant Rectangle Stax Stanzen aus schwarzem und weißem Cardstock leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. 

Die Zitronen sind aus dem Stempelset Main Squeeze und ich habe sie mit Copics per No-Line Coloring coloriert. 

In die Mitte zwischen die beiden Zitronen habe ich ein Cocktailglas mit blubbernder Flüssigkeit gesetzt. Das ist mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Set Let's Toast aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und coloriert. 

Hinter die Zitronen und das Glas habe ich dann noch zwei Zweige, die für mich wie von einem Zitronenbaum aussehen, geklebt. Die Grand Greenery Solid Stanze habe ich für die Zweige mit den vollflächigen Blättern aus hellgrünem Cardstock, die Grand Greenery Outline Stanze für die anderen Zweige aus grünem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt. Mit einem weißen Gelpen habe ich ein paar Hightlights hinzugefügt. 

Das Cheers, gemacht mit der gleichnamigen Stanze, habe ich viermal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt aufeinander geklebt. Für die oberste Lage habe ich sie noch einmal aus dem grünen Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und alles halb auf das Label mit den Motiven geklebt.

Unter das Cheers habe ich noch ein Sip Sip Hooray! geklebt. Ich habe den Text aus dem Stempelset Spirited Sentiments weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, zugeschnitten und unter das Cheers geklebt. Und damit sich das schwarze Label und der dünne Streifen mit dem Text besser von den schwarzen Linien im Mauerhintergrund abheben, habe ich die Ränder dieser Teile noch in ein weißes Stempelkissen gedrückt. 

Ganz zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar gelbe Glitzersteine auf die Karte.

And this is the decorations I've put on this card. 

In the background I glued down two labels, die cut with the Elegant Rectangle Stax dies, from both white and black cardstock and glued them on top of each other a bit off.

The lemons are from the Main Squeeze stamp set and I did some no-line coloring with my Copics to color them in.

Between the two lemons I glued down a cocktail glass with some bubbling liquid in it. The glass is die cut from white cardstock with one of the dies from the Let's Toast die set and colored with Copics.

Behind the lemons and the glass I glued down two branches, that look like they come from a lemon tree. I die cut the Grand Greenery Solid die for the branches with the filled leaves from light green cardstock and the Grand Greenery Outline die from green mirror cardstock for the other branches. I added a few highlights with a white gel pen.

The cheers, made with the Cheers die, is die cut four times from white cardstock, that I stacked on top of each other. For the top layer I die cut it again from the green mirror cardstock. Then I glued the word half onto the label with the images.

Under the cheers I also added a Sip Sip Hooray! text. I white heat embossed the text from the Spirited Sentiments stamp set onto black cardstock, cut it out and then glued it under the cheers. To add more contrast between the black lines in the brick wall and the edges of the label and the strip with the text, I simply pressed the edges of those two into a white ink pad.

In the end I added a few yellow rhinestones to the card.

Und hier noch das fast schon obligatorische schräg aufgenommene Bild, wie so oft, wenn Spiegelcardstock im Spiel ist. Wie es aussieht, wenn ich das nicht mache, hat man ja bei der Karte mit den Bienen gesehen.

Außerdem kann man auf diesem Bild gut sehen, dass ich die Label mit den Motiven und die Texte mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt habe, was für eine tolle Tiefe sorgt.

And here the nearly necessary picture, taken at an angle - as so often when I used mirror cardstock. We saw pretty good when I shared the card with the bees, that taking that photo is a good idea.

On this picture you can also see pretty good, that I used foam tape to glue down the label with the images and the text, what adds some great depth to the card.
