Mit einem neuen Moodboard startet heute eine weitere Create a Smile Challenge. Und es wird nochmal herbstlich!

With a new moodboard another Create a Smile challenge starts today. And it is a fall inspired one again.
Ich war von Anfang an in das Moodboard verliebt. Das zarte Grün, dazu Kürbisse und gelbe Blätter.... Da passten doch die Artikel aus dem Oktober-Release perfekt, um eine passende Karte zu werkeln!
I immediately fell in love with this moodboard. The soft green, the pumpkins and yellow leaves.... And the items from the october release were just perfect to make a card after these pictures.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich den grandiosen Herbstlaub-Stempel - der sogar mehr als doppelt so groß ist, so dass ich mich für eine Ecke entscheiden musste - weiß auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich ZIG Marker in Gelb- und Brauntönen verwendet, um die Blätter einzufärben und zudem goldene Metallic Watercolor darüber gespritzt. Der Watercolor Look passt super zu dem Herbstlaub.
Nun, irgendwie war der Hintergrund fast ein wenig dunkel geraten, deswegen habe ich mit einer der Stitched Rectangle Frames ein Rechteck aus Vellum gestanzt und es mittig über den Hintergrund geklebt. So sieht man zwar auch die goldenen Sprenkel nicht mehr wirklich, aber die Motive gehen nicht unter. Außen am Rand sieht man dafür den Hintergrund noch in voller Farbpracht.
For the background I used the amazing Herbstlaub stamp - it's even more than double the size so I had to pick a part of it - and white heat embossed it onto some watercolor cardstock. Then I used brown and yellow ZIG Markers to color the leaves and spritzed some golden metallic watercolor on top. The watercolor look goes amazingly with the fall leaves.
Well, somehow my background turned out really dark, so I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames dies to die cut a rectangle from vellum and put that over the center of my background. This way also the golden speckles are covered up, but at least the images don't get lost. On the edge of my card you can still see the leaves in their full colors.

Auch die Deko meiner Karte ist mit den ZIG Markern coloriert, so passte alles schön zusammen.
Die Pilze aus dem Pilzparade Stanzenset und die Zweige/Blätter aus dem Window Pocket Stanzenset sind aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt und coloriert. Dabei habe ich mich für türkisfarbene Pilze entschieden - so ein kleiner Farbtupfer tut der Karte gut, dachte ich mir.
Die Sonnenblume und die Kürbisse sind aus dem Stempelset Krähm de la Krähm. Ich habe sie weiß auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst, anschließend coloriert und ausgeschnitten.
Da sich die Motive für meinen Geschmack immer noch nicht gut genug vom Hintergrund abgehoben haben, habe ich noch einen türkisfarbenen Kreis mit einer der Stitched Circles Stanzen ausgestanzt und hinter die Motive gesetzt.
Und dann brauchte meine Karte noch einen Text. Der ist aus dem ebenfalls neuen Stempelset Der Herbst ist Da und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich ihn quer über die Karte geklebt und dabei die Kürbisse und den linken Pilz auf den Cardstockstreifen aufgesetzt.
Zum Aufeinanderkleben der Motive habe ich 3D Tape benutzt, das Vellum ist ebenfalls mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Das Tape habe ich hier hinter dem Kreis mit den Motive und dem Textstreifen versteckt.
Also the images are colored with the ZIG markers, this way everything goes together nicely.
The mushrooms from the Pilzparade die set and the leaves from the Window Pocket die set are die cut from watercolor cardstock and then colored in. I decided to color my mushrooms in a muted turquoise - a little color would look good on the card.
The sunflower and the pumpkins are from the new Raven for You stamp set. I white heat embossed them onto watercolor cardstock, colored them in and cut them out.
Since there still wasn't enough contrast between the images and the background, I 've die cut a circle from turquoise cardstock using one of the Stitched Circle dies, then put it behind the images.
And then my card needed a text. It's from the also new Der Herbst ist Da stamp set and white onto black cardstock embossed. Then I glued it across the card and put the pumpkins and the mushroom on the left on top of it.
To glue the images down I used foam tape, also to attach the vellum to the background. I've hidden the tape behind the circle with the images and the strip with the text.
Zum Schluss habe ich noch einige braune Pailetten auf das Vellum aufgeklebt und meinen Kartenaufleger auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Auf das Matten des Hintergrunds habe ich hier bewusst verzichtet, da so mehr vom Hintergrund sichtbar blieb.
In the end I glued a few brown sequins onto the vellum and then glued my background onto a white note card. I didn't mat it here on purpose, this way the cardstock with the leaves was larger and shows more of those beautiful leaves.
