Ich bin ja noch der altmodische Typ, der lieber Einkaufszettel und andere Listen in Papierform mit sich rumschleppt, statt sie am Handy zu haben. Deswegen liegen bei uns auch an einigen Stellen kleine Notizblöcke griffbereit. Und das Stempelset Memo aus dem Januar-Release von Stampcorner ist perfekt, um die meist recht einfachen Blöcke ein wenig aufzuhübschen. Und zwei dieser Blöcke zeige ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog.

I am a bit traditional in a few areas of my life - one is that I prefer handwritten lists - like groceries - over those I save on my phone. So we have little note pads laying in different spots in our house. The Memo stamp set from the january release by Stampcorner is perfect, to make those mostly plain note pads nicer. And two of those pimped up note pads are what I'm sharing on the Stampcorner Blog today.
So sehen die Blöcke viel schöner aus - und sie machen sich so auch wunderbar als kleines Geschenk.
Für beide Blöcke habe ich Streifen aus weißem Cardstock zugeschnitten und mittig einen Streifen in gleicher Höhe wie die Dicke der Blöcke eingefalzt. Die Cardstockstreifen sind so zugeschnitten, dass sie einen Ticken breiter und länger sind als die Blöcke, so dass die komplett darin verschwinden.
Decorated like this the note pads look a lot nicer - and they also make cute little gifts.
For both note pads I cut strips from white cardstock and scored an area in the center that has the same width as the height of the note pads. I cut the strips a tad bit wider and longer than the size of the note pads, so those are hidden inside completly.
Um den ersten Block zu dekorieren, habe ich mit dem Typewriter Background von MFT und Archival Ink Faded Jeans die Buchstaben nur auf die Vorderseite des Cardstockstreifens gestempelt.
Als Deko habe ich eine Art Tafel gestaltet. Dafür habe ich einen Rahmen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke und Frayed Burlap ein wenig fleckig eingefärbt. Dahinter habe ich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks geklebt, auf den ich mit weißem Embossingpulver "wichtig - nicht vergessen" aufembosst habe. Die Stempel dafür kommen in dem Stempelset Memo.
Auf der linken Seite habe ich zwei Bleistifte, zwei Hefte und zwei Pins, alle ebenfalls aus dem Stempelset, auf den Rahmen geklebt. Die Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten.
To decorate the first note pad I used Archival Ink Faded Jeans and the Typewriter Background by MFT to stamp the letters only onto the front of my cardstock strip.
Then I created some kind of chalk board. I die cut a rectangle frame from white cardstock and inked it up with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke and Frayed Burlap, keeping the color a bit splotchy. Behind the frame I attached a piece of black cardstock, onto that I had white heat embossed a "important - don't forget" text using stamps from the stamp set Memo.
On the left side I used two pencils, two pads and two pins, all from the same stamp set, to decorated the frame. I colored the images with Copics and cut them out.
Motive mit großen Brillen haben es mir total angetan - deswegen war dieser süße Esel mit Brille auch das erste Motiv aus dem Stempelset, das ich benutzen wollte. Ich habe es ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf den Rahmen geklebt. Die Brillengläser habe ich zudem mit Glossy Accents überzogen und nach dem Trocknen auf dem ganzen Motiv einige Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.
I can't resist an image with large glasses - so this donkey wearing glasses was the first image from the set I wanted to use. I colored it in with Cpics, cut it out and then adhered it onto the frame with foam tape. I also used Glossy Accents on the glasses and after it had dried I added some highlights with a white gel pen.
Das zweite Notepad habe ich etwas einfacher bzw. weniger bunt gestaltet.
Hier habe ich ein kleineres Rechteck als die Grundfläche des Blocks aus weißem Cardstock geschnitten und das Heft und den Stift aus dem Stempelset schön verteilt überall darauf gestempelt. Coloriert habe ich dann nur die Linienauf dem Heft und den Radiergummi und Mittelstreifen des Stiftes mit einem R08 Copic, dann habe ich mit C4 noch Schatten links und unterhalb der gestempelten Motive aufgemalt.
Den weißen Cardstock habe ich dann schwarz gemattet und mit 3D Tape auf die Blockhülle geklebt. Dabei habe ich mittig ein Stück rotes Band mit eingefasst, mit dem man den Block zubinden kann.
Auch das Wort Notizen ist aus dem Stempelset. Ich habe es mit Distress Ink Candied Apple auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Zuvor habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock die kleinste der Wave Stanzen ausgestanzt und den weißen Cardstock dann so zugeschnitten, dass der gestitchte Rand des schwarzen Rechtecks sichtbar blieb.
Als Deko habe ich einen Pin und eine Büroklammer abgestempelt, coloriert, ausgeschnitten und links neben das Wort Notizen geklebt. Da das Label trotzdem noch ein wenig fad aussah, habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen Rahmen aufgemalt.
The second note pad I kept a bit simpler or less colorful.
Here I cut a piece of white cardstock about 1" smaller than the size of the note pad, then stamped the paper pad and the pencil from the stamp set all over the cardstock. To "color" these images I only used a R08 Copic marker for the lines on the pad and the rubber end and center strip of the pencil, then used a C4 marker to add a shadown on the left and bottom of the images.
I matted the white cardstock black and attached it to the note pad with foam tape, putting a piece of red ribbon in between the layers to keep the note pad closed.
Then I cut the smallest of the Wave dies from black cardstock and cut a piece of white cardstock, making sure the stitched lines on the black rectangle are still visible when the white cardstock is put on top. Onto the white cardstock I stamped the word notes using Distress Ink Candied Apple.
Then I stamped another pin and a paper clip, colored them, cut them out and adhered them to the left side of the frame. Since the label still looked a bit plain I used a black fineliner to draw a frame.
Der kleine Esel, den ich auf diesen Notizblock geklebt habe, ist ganz einfach gehalten und daher super vielseitig einsetzbar. Da er hier aber einen Notizblock ziert, habe ich einen weiteren Stift gestempelt und coloriert und sie dem Eselchen unter die "Arme" geklemmt.
This little donkey that I used on this note pad is very neutral and can be used for various occasions. But since it is put on a note pad here I stamped and colored another pencil and put it under the donkey's "arms".
