Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Vielleicht habt Ihr es im Jahresverlauf schon gemerkt, aber irgendwie hüpft mir eine Karte nach der anderen vom Tisch. Entweder habe ich mehr Zeit - wobei es sich nicht so anfühlt und ich auch nicht wüsste, woher die kommen soll - oder ich bin einfach schneller geworden. Aber weil es so viel Spaß macht, beschwere ich mich nicht und zeige Euch heute eine weitere Karte. Die ist wieder nach dem aktuellen Sketch der Create a Smile Challenge entstanden.

Maybe you've already noticed it, but for some reason I get lots of cards done this year. Either I have more time - allthough I don't know where that should come from and it also doesn't feel like it - or I simply got faster with my crafting. But since it's lots of fun I don't mind, and share another card with you today. This was again made following the sketch of the current Create a Smile challenge.
Für diese Karte habe ich als Basis cremefarbenen Cardstock verwendet, das wirkt etwas wärmer. Auf den oberen Bereich habe ich dann mit der der Schablone aus dem Set Layered Hexagons, die die größten Waben aufweist, Honigwaben aufgewischt. Zuerst habe ich Distress Oxide Wild Honey aufgewischt und anschließend nur auf den Bereich in der Mitte Spiced Marmalade darüber gelegt. Anschließend habe ich ebenfalls nur den oberen Bereich des Cardstocks mit goldener Metallic Watercolor bespritzt.
For this card I used a piece of cream colored cardstock as the base - that's warmer than plain white. Onto the top half I added the honeycombs, using the stencil with the biggest honeycombs from the Layered Hexagons stencil set. First I laid down a layer of Distress Oxide Wild Honey, then added some Spiced Marmalade just to the center area. Also only onto that top area of my cardstock I flicked some gold metallic watercolor.
Im Sketch ist ja ein Hexagon eingezeichnet. Zuerst fand ich es ein wenig zu einfach, das eins zu eins zu übernehmen. Aber zum Bienenthema auf dieser Karte passt es natürlich perfekt. Das Hexagon habe ich aus Vellum geschnitten.
Der Bienenstock ist aus dem Set Hey Honey, die kleine Biene mit dem Honigeimer aus dem Set Sommer Minis. Ich habe beide Motive mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Anschließend habe ich sie mit dünnem bzw. dickem 3D Tape - für die Biene - auf das Sechseck aus Vellum geklebt und anschließend auch das mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die Klebestreifen konnte ich prima hinter den Motiven verstecken.
Da ich keinen Ast auf der Karte verwenden wollte, um den Bienenstock daran aufzuhängen - das Grün der Blätter hätte einfach nicht ins Farbkonzept gepasst -, habe ich hinter dem Bienenstock ein Stück goldene Schnur angebracht, das andere Ende um den oberen Rand der Karte gelegt und auf der Rückseite festgeklebt. Oben am Bienenstock habe ich dann noch eine kleine goldene Schleife angebracht.
Für den Text habe ich das Wort Honey mit dem Lemon Alphas Stanzenset ausgestanzt - die Schattenlage aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock, die Buchstaben aus weißem Cardstock, den ich anschließend mit leichtem Farbverlauf mit Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade gewischt habe. Das Hello ist aus dem Stempelset Der Herbst ist da. Der lautet eigentlich Hallo Herbst, aber ein deutsches Hallo zu einem englischen Honey fand ich komisch. Also habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte einfach erst das llo von Hallo auf den Cardstock gestempelt, dann den Cardstock im Misti etwas verschoben und das He von Herbst davor gesetzt. Schon wurde aus Hallo ein Hello.
Neben dem Wort Honey habe ich als Deko noch drei kleine, herzförmige Pailetten aufgeklebt.
There's a hexagon drawn in the sketch. I thought it a bit obvious to use a hexagon as well, but it went perfect with the bees theme on this card. I die cut the hexagon from vellum.
The bee hive is from the Hey Honey stamp set, the little bee with the bucket to collect the honey in is from the Sommer Minis stamp set. I colored both with Copics and cut it out. Then I attached the images with thin and thick - behind the bee - foam tape and used thin foam tape again, to adhere the hexagon to the background. I hid the tape behind the images.
Since I didn't want to use a branch for my bee hive to hang from - the green of the leaves just didn't fit my color scheme -, I put a piece of gold twine behind the bee hive, folded the other end around the top edge of my cardstock and taped it down there. To the top of the bee hive I added a smal gold bow.
For the text I die cut the word Honey using the Lemon Alphas die set - I cut the shadow layer from brown cardstock and the letters from white, inking them with Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade afterwards. The Hello is from the Der Herbst ist Da stamp set. It's a german set and originally reads Hallo Herbst. Well, a german hallo with an english honey seemed strange. So I first stamped the llo from the word hallo with black ink onto the cardstock, then moved the cardstock in my Misti and stamped the he from Herbst in front of it and that easily a hallo had turned into a hello.
Next to the word honey I added three small, heart shaped confetti as decoration.

Hier könnt Ihr sehen, dass ich sowohl die Flügel der Biene als auch die gelben Buchstaben des Wortes Honey mit Glossy Accents überzogen habe. So glänzen sie schön.
Zum Schluss habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Here you can see that I covered the bee's wings and the yellow letters of the word honey with Glossy Accents to make them nice and shiny.
To finish the card, I matted the cardstock black and adhered everything to a white note card.
