Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte für die LawnFawnatics Challenge #160. Fertig ist sie schon seit ein paar Tagen, aber ich bin einfach nicht zum Fotografieren und Posten gekommen. Jetzt habe ich es geschafft - auf den letzten Drücker, denn heute abend ist Deadline.

Today I am sharing with you my card for the LawnFawnatics challenge #160. I finished it a few days ago but didn't find the time to take pictures and post it. Now I made it - last minute, because the deadline is tonight.
Das Thema der Challenge ist "inspired by your favorite holiday song or movie". Puh, da fiel die Auswahl schwer, ich mag da so vieles. Nicht alles ist kartentauglich - wer will z. B. eine Karte mit einer vom Rentier überfahrenen Oma? Da aber eines meiner absoluten Lieblings-Weihnachtslieder Snowman von Sia ist und sich das ja wirklich toll umsetzen lässt, habe ich das als Inspiration gewählt.
Lagentechnisch bin ich bei dieser Karte ein wenig eskaliert. Es hat sich einfach so ergeben....
Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich erst mit der Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop Stanze ausgestanzt und dann mit Distress Oxide Villainous Potion, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt und den Cardstock mit silbernen Glitter-Cardstock hinterlegt.
The theme of the challenge is "inspired by your favorite holiday song or movie". Oh, that's a hard one, there are so many I love. Not all of them can be turned into a card - who wants to get a card with a grandma, run over by a reindeer? One of my absolute favorite christmas songs is Snowman by Sia and since this is really good to use as inspiration for a card, I've chosen this.
I kind of escalated with the layers on this card - it just happened...
In the background there's a piece of white cardstock, that I first die cut Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop from, then inked it with Distress Oxide Villainous Potion, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Then I added some spatters of white acrylic paint and put some silver glitter cardstock behind it to highlight the moons and stars.
Kennt Ihr das Lied? Ich habe einige Elemente davon hier aufgegriffen.
Da ist natürlich der Schneemann, den ich mit Stempeln aus dem Set Making Frosty Friends zusammengesetzt habe. Und weil ich schockierenderweise schon wieder lila verwendet habe, habe ich auch den Schneemann - und das Iglu aus dem Set Snow Cool im Hintergrund - mit lila schattiert. Damit sie noch mehr wie aus Schnee gemacht aussehen, habe ich zum Stempeln der beiden Motive lilafarbene Tinte benutzt, die übrigen Motive sind dann mit schwarz gestempelt. Auch die Accessoires habe ich in Lilatönen coloriert. Für die Maus habe ich Grautöne verwendet. Die Maus habe ich aus zwei verschiedenen Stempeln zusammengesetzt. Der Körper ist von einer der Mäuse aus dem Set Christmas Before 'n Afters. Den Kopf habe ich mit einem der Stempel aus dem Set Happy Hugs angestempelt. Nun sieht es so aus, als würde die Maus den Schneemann umarmen. Sie trägt außerdem eine Mütze aus dem Holiday Party Animal Stempelset. Die Arme des Schneemanns habe ich nach dem Aufeinanderkleben der Motive angestempelt - der linke Arm ist ein wenig verlängert, der rechte umarmt die Maus.
Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics und einen weißen Gelstift für die Highlights benutzt.
Und da in dem Lied sogar davon die Rede ist, an den Nordpol zu ziehen, habe ich ein Nordpol Schild aus dem Penguin Party Stempelset ebenfalls in die Szene gesetzt.
Die Motive habe ich dann zwischen drei Lagen Schnee verteilt. Die habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Shaded Lilac schattiert. Zwischen den Hügeln befindet sich jeweils dünnes 3D Tape.
Auf die Schnee-Elemente der Karte habe ich außerdem Stickles aufgetragen.
Über dem Kopf der Maus und des Schneemanns habe ich noch drei kleine weiße Herzen aufgeklebt.
Do you know the song I used as inspiration? I picked up a few of the elements from the song.
Of course there's the snowman, that I made with stamps from the Making Frosty Friends set. And since - to everyone's surprise - I used purple again, I shaded the snowman and the igloo in the background, made with a stamp from the Snow Cool set - purple as well. To make these two images look even more like they are made from snow, I stamped them with some light purple ink, the other images I stamped with black. Also for the coloring of the accessoires I went with purples. For the mouse I used greys. The mouse I put together using two different stamps. The body is from one of the images from the Christmas Before 'n Afters set, the head is from a mouse from the Happy Hugs set. I stamped it onto the body so now it looks like the mouse is hugging her snowman. The mouse is also wearing a hat from the Holiday Party Animal set. After I had glued the images together I stamped the arms of the snowman. The left one I made a bit longer, the right one is hugging the mouse.
I used Copics for the coloring and a white gel pen for the highlights.
And since Sia is even singing about moving to the north pole I added a north pole sign from the Penguin Party stamp set.
I put the images between three layers of snowy hills, that I die cut from white cardstock and then shaded with Distress Ink Shaded Lilac. I put thin foam tape between the layers.
I also added some lines of Stickles onto the snow elements on my card.
Above the mouse's and the snowman's head I adhered some small white clay hearts.
Oben am Himmel über der Szene habe ich meinen Text aufgebracht. Der ist mit lilafarbener Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und stammt aus dem Set Snow One Like You. Dann habe ich ihn mit dickem 3D Tape auf dem Hintergrund befestigt.
Onto the sky above the scene I added the text. I stamped it with purple ink again onto white cardstock using the Snow One Like You stamp set. Then I adhered it with thick foam tape to the background.

Obenauf kam dann ein Schneeflockenrahmen. Dafür habe ich die Snow Flurries Backdrop Stanze aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und von außen her wieder mit Shaded Lilac schattiert. Und eigentlich war meine Karte damit fertig - eigentlich....
Irgendwie fehlte mir ein Rahmen, da die lilafarbenen Elemente ein wenig
sehr ineinander über gingen. Warum also nicht den silbernen Glitzer
hinter den Sternen aufgreifen. Also habe ich einen der Stitched
Rectangle Frames aus silberfarbenem Glittercardstock gestanzt und wollte
den nur noch schnell oben auf den Schneeflockenrahmen kleben. Aber da
fiel mein Blick auf ein Stück Folie und ich dachte mir, wenn ich das mit
Acrylfarbe besprenkle und hinter den Rahmen klebe, sieht es so aus, als
würde über die ganze Szene Schnee fallen, nicht nur im Hintergrund.
Gesagt, getan. Und damit das ganze dann auch wirklich wirkt, habe ich
auch diesen Rahmen mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Dadurch hat die Karte
eine ordentliche Höhe, aber auch eine wunderbare Tiefe erhalten....
On top I put a snowflake frame. I die cut the Snow Flurries Backdrop from white cardstock and inked the edges with Shaded Lilac. That's when I thought that my card was finished.... not.
I was missing a frame since all the purple elements kind of blended into each other. So why not pick up the silver glitter behind the stars again? So I die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from silver glitter cardstock and just wanted to glue it on top of the snowflake frame. But then my eyes catched a piece of acetate that was laying on my desk. If I flick more white acrylic paint onto it and glue it behind that frame, it looks like snow is falling all over the scene, not just in the background. And that's what I did. To make it look more realistic I used thick foam tape to adhere that frame. That did not only make this card pretty thick, it also gives it a wonderful depth.
