Momentan werde ich wieder ständig nach Hochzeitskarten gefragt - die erste von einigen zeige ich Euch heute.

At the moment a lot of friends and family members ask me for wedding cards - the first of a few I made I am sharing with you today.
Bei Hochzeitskarten bin ich mir farblich immer etwas unsicher, und nicht jeder hat ein Farbmotto für seine Hochzeit (bzw. kenne ich das nicht immer). Elegant mögen die meisten doch am liebsten, und rot passt auch nicht zu jedem. Hier habe ich mich für eine eher dezente Kombi aus creme, craft, grün und gold entschieden.
Aus einem Stück cremefarbenen Cardstocks habe ich den Radiant Heart Backdrop von LawnFawn ausgestanzt. Mit der Schere habe ich ein Stück hellgrünen Cardstocks so zugeschnitten, dass er etwas größer ist als der herzförmige Ausschnitt in der Mitte der Karte. Dann habe ich auf beide Teile goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt und dabei die Spritzer auf dem cremefarbenen Panel rund um den Ausschnitt konzentriert.
Das hellgrüne Herz habe ich dann mit dünnem 3D Tape hinter den Ausschnitt geklebt.
I am always a bit unsure about the colors I want to use for wedding cards. Not everyone has special colors for their wedding (or sometimes I just don't know those), most like elegant and red doesn't suit everyone. Here I went with a more soft color combo of cream, kraft, green and gold.
I die cut the Radiant Heart Backdrop by LawnFawn from a piece of cream colored cardstock. With my scissors I cut a piece of light green cardstock a bit larger than the heart shaped window in the background. Then I splattered gold metallic watercolor onto both pieces, keeping the ones on the cream cardstock centered around the heart cut out.
I used thin foam tape to attach the heart behind the window.
Rund um das Herzfenster habe ich dann auch meine Deko angeordnet.
Aus etwas dunkler grünem Cardstock habe ich mit dem Wedding Alphabet - wie passend - von XCut die Buchstaben M und T ausgestanzt und mit 3 Lagen weißem Cardstock hinterlegt.
Das Und-Zeichen von Creative Depot habe ich aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und mit 5 Lagen weißen Cardstocks hinterlegt - es sollte etwas höher und vor allem auf dem Banner darunter liegen, als die Buchstaben. Das Banner ist mit der Elegant Folded Banner Stanze von MFT aus craft farbenem Cardstock gemacht. Darauf und auf ein weiteres Stück dieses Cardstocks habe ich dann mit weißem Embossingpulver die Texte "zur Hochzeit" und "die besten Wünsche" von Kulricke aufembosst.
Da die Namen komplett auf die Karte sollten, habe ich deren restlichen Buchstaben mit dem Dymo und goldenem Band gedruckt.
Nach dem Aufkleben aller Elemente habe ich als Deko drei kleine dunkler grüne Blüten, zwei cremefarbene Rosen und einige goldene Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.
Around the heart cut out I arranged my decorations.
I die cut the letters M and T from a bit darker green cardstock using the Wedding Alphabet - what a match - by XCut and glued three layers cut from white cardstock behind each.
The Ampersand by Creative Depot I die cut from gold mirror cardstock and backed it with five white die cuts - I wanted it to be a bit higher than the letters and on top of the banner. The banner is made from kraft colored cardstock using the Elegant Folded Banner die by MFT. I white heat embossed "congratulations" onto it and also embossed a "for your wedding" onto another piece of the craft cardstock.
Since the names should be completly on the card I used my Dymo and some gold band to write the missing letters.
After I had glued all the elements onto the background I added three small blossoms cut from darker green cardstock, two cream roses and a few gold pearls.
Auf das Banner und die gestanzten Buchstaben habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelstift ein paar Highlights aufgemalt - ich fand, gold passt hier besser als weiß.
Hinter dem Banner und dem Textstreifen befindet sich dünnes 3D Tape. Das habe ich auch verwendet, um den Hintergrund mit craftfarbenem Cardstock zu hinterlegen.
Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen cremefarbenen Kartenrohling geklebt.
I used a gold gel pen to add some highlights to the banner and the die cut letters - I think, gold works better here than white.
I put thin foam tape behind the banner and the text strip, then used more of it to adhere the background onto a piece of kraft colored cardstock.
Then I attached my decorated panel to a cream colored card base.
