Ich weiß ja nicht, wie das bei Euch so ist, aber hier in Bayern ist es wieder richtig knackig kalt draußen. Natürlich jetzt, wo mein Urlaub vorbei ist. Und dabei wäre das jetzt das richtige Wetter, um es sich drinnen im Warmen so richtig gemütlich zu machen... Und das hat mich dann zur heutigen Karte inspiriert.

I don't know about the weather where you live, but here in Bavaria it just turned icy cold again. Of course now, when my days off are over. It really would be the perfect weather to cozy up inside in the warmth... That's what inspired me to make today's card.
Okay, das Wetter war nicht die einzige Inspiration zu dieser Karte - es waren auch die noch unbenutzten Stempel auf meinem Tisch, unter denen sich dieser süße Schneemann von Create a Smile befindet. Und der sieht für mich definitiv aus wie ein besonders schöner Marshmallow. Mein erster Gedanke war, ihn auf einen Stock zu spießen und über dem Feuer rösten zu lassen. Aber das habe ich dann doch nicht übers Herz gebracht. Stattdessen darf er jetzt in einer dicken Sahnehaube auf einer Tasse heißen Kakaos sitzen.
Ich wollte einen frostigen Look für meine Karte, deswegen habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Speckles Egg, Peacock Feathers und Chipped Sapphire gewischt. Das dunkle Blau hat mir dann aber doch nicht so recht gefallen, also habe ich es fast komplett mit Black Soot überwischt und davon auch ein klein wenig komplett rund um den Cardstock aufgetragen.
Mit weißer Stempeltinte habe ich den Knitted Sweater Background von MFT auf den Cardstock gestempelt und dann silberne Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.
Well, the weather wasn't my only inspiration for this card - I also got it from the unused stamp sets on my desk. This cute snowman by Create a Smile was among them. And to me he definately looks like a very special marshmallow. My first idea was to put him on a stick on roast him over a fire. But I just didn't have the heart to do this to him. Instead he's now sitting in a big cream puff on a cup of hot cocoa.
I wanted a frosty look for this card so I inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Peacock Featerhs and Chipped Sapphire. But I didn't like the dark blue at the bottom. So I brought out my Black Soot and nearly covered all of the Chipped Sapphire with it. I also inked the edges of the complete cardstock just a tiny bit with the Black Soot.
I stamped the Knitted Sweater Background by MFT with white ink onto the background, then spattered some silver metallic watercolor onto it.
Der kleine Schneemann ist aus dem Set Es Schneit und, wie alle Motive auf der Karte, mit Copics coloriert. Die Tasse samt Sahne, Marshmallows und Zuckerstange sind aus dem Set Maus Au Chocolat. Und weil mir die Tasse etwas zu nackig war, habe ich das Tassenmuster der Tasse aus dem Sahnehäubchen Set darauf gestempelt. Darüber und darunter habe ich mit einem silbernen Glitter-Gelstift eine Linie gezogen.
Die Zuckerstange habe ich dick mit Distress Glitter Rock Candy überzuckert, Nase und Augen des Schneemanns sind mit Glossy Accents, das Muster auf der Tasse mit Stickles überzogen. Und die Punkte auf der Sahnhaube habe ich mit einem blauen Glitter-Gelstift in kleine Zuckerstreusel verwandelt.
Aus Vellum habe ich einige Schneeflocken aus meinem Stanzenbestand gestanzt und sie hinter der Tasse und auf dem Hintergrund arrangiert.
Die Texte sind aus den Sets Fröhliche Schreiertage (es wird kalt draußen) und Lieblingskeks. Ich habe sie jeweils mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.
The little snowman is from the Es Schneit stamp set and, like all the images on this card, colored with Copics. The cup including the cream, marshmallows and candy cane are from the Maus Au Chocolat set. And since the mug looked a bit plain to me, I stamped the pattern from the mug of the Sahnehäubchen set onto it. Above and under the pattern I drew a line with a silver glitter gel pen.
The candy cane I covered with a thick layer of Distress Glitter Rock Candy, the eyes and nose of the snowman are covered with Glossy Accents. Onto the pattern on the mug I added some Stickles. And the dots on the cream puff I turned into sprinkles with a light blue glitter gel pen.
I die cut different snowflakes I had in my stash from vellum and arranged those behind the cup and on the background.
The texts mean "it's getting cold outside" and "let's get cozy". I white heat embossed them onto black cardstock.
Die Sahnehaube samt Deko habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinter der Tasse befestigt, dann habe ich hinter die Motive dünnes (hinter der Sahnehaube) und dickes (hinter der Tasse) 3D Tape angebracht und sie damit auf dem Hintergrund befestigt. auch die Texte sind mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.
Als Deko habe ich einige klare Glitztersteine auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling aufgeklebt.
I attached the cream including all the elements in it with thin foam tape to the mug, then I put thin foam tape behind the cream and thick one behind the mug and adhered them to the background. Also the textes are attached with thick foam tape.
I added a few clear rhinestones to the card and then put the cardstock onto a white card base.
