Let it Snow

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich habe hier noch einige ungenutzte Stempel liegen, die einzuweihen ich vor Weihnachten einfach nicht mehr geschafft habe. Das möchte ich nun nachholen, denn es sind so einige Winterstempel dabei. Dabei ist mir dann auch aufgefallen, dass ich diesen Winter so gut wie noch gar keine Winterkarte gemacht habe! Na das passt dann ja.

I have several stamp sets laying on my desk, that I just didn't manage to use before christmas. Now I finally have the  time to - which is great not only because it means I finally have some crafty time again, but also because there are quite a few winter sets among them. And that's when I realized that I haven't made many winter cards this winter so far. So that's a great coincidence.

Hier kam das süße  Stempelset Kalte Nasen von Create a Smile zum Einsatz. Ich liebe diese Tierchen und bevor sie sich in ihren Mützen und Schals abschwitzen, durfte zumindest einer von ihnen auf eine Karte.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich drei der Schneeflocken aus dem Filigrane Schneeflocken Sets sowie die kleine Schneeflocke aus dem Winterschlaf Set mit Memento Grape Jelly auf hell-lila farbenen Cardstock gestempelt und zwar so oft, bis der Cardstock komplett bestempelt war. Dann habe ich den Cardstock von außen mit Distress Ink Wilted Violet, Villainous Postion und Black Soot gewischt und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Here I used the cute Kalte Nasen set by Create a Smile. I love these critters and thought, I'd use at least one of them before they are getting too hot with their scarfs and warm hats.

For the background I used three of the snowflakes from the Filigrane Schneeflocken set and the tiny one from the Winterschlaf set to cover a piece of light purple cardstock with snowflakes, using Memento Grape Jelly ink. Then I inked the cardstock from the outside in with Distress Ink Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and Black Soot and spattered some white acrylic paint onto the background.

Passend zum Hintergrund habe ich den Schal des Bären lila coloriert - und natürlich musste der Bär ein Eisbär werden. Ich habe ihm außerdem die Mütze, die eigentlich die Katze aus dem Set trägt, aufgesetzt. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics, für die Highlights  einen weißen Gelstift verwendet. Dann habe ich die  Motive ausgeschnitten.

Dahinter befindet sich die größte der Schneeflocken aus dem Filigrane Schneeflocken Set. Die habe ich weiß auf Vellum embosst und ebenfalls ausgeschnitten.

Matching my background I used purples to color the bear's scarf - and of course this bear had to be an ice bear. I also let him wear the hat, that originally the cat from the set is wearing. I used Copics for the coloring and a white gel pen for the highlights. Then I cut the images out.

Behind the bear I put the largest of the Filigrane Schneeflocken, that I white heat embossed onto Vellum and cut it out, too.

Die großen Buchstaben habe ich mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT gestanzt, einmal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus silbernem Glitter Cardstock. Die habe ich dann leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. Eigentlich wollte ich die silbernen Buchstaben oben haben, das war mir dann aber zu viel und so habe ich mich doch dafür entschieden, diese für den Schatten zu benutzen. Außerdem habe ich einen silbernen Glitter-Gelstift verwendet, um Highlights auf die Buchstaben aufzumalen.

Den kleineren Let it Textteil habe ich mit dem Clear Letters Stempelset gemacht. Sie sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

I used the Impact Alphabet die set by MFT to cut the letters - once from white cardstock, once from silver glitter cardstock. I glued those onto each other just a bit off. I originally had planned to use the silver letters on top, but that made the card too busy. So I changed my mind and used those as the shadow layer. I also drew some highlights with a silver glitter gel pen onto the white letters.

The smaller let it part of the text I made with the Clear Letters stamp set, white heat embossing the letters onto a strip of black cardstock.

Ich habe die Buchstaben direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Hinter die Schneeflocke habe ich dünnes 3D Tape gesetzt und damit auch den Bären oben auf die Schneeflocke geklebt, so dass beide Teile etwas hervorgehoben sind - der Bär aber noch ein wenig mehr. Auch hinter dem schwarzen Cardstockstück befindet sich etwas des dünnen 3D Tapes.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige silber-holographische Pailetten rund um den Text verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I adhered the letters directly onto the background. Behind the snowflake I put some thin foam tape, then put the bear on top of it using thin foam tape again. This way both parts are raised, the bear even more than the snowflake. I used the same foam tape behind the black cardstock strip as well.

Last I added a few silver-holographic sequins around the text and then attached the cardstock to a white note card.
