Neuer Monat - neue Challenge. Wie immer am ersten Tag des Monats startet heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog die neue Challenge. Diesmal haben wir eine Farbvorgabe. Mein erster Gedanke, als ich die Kombi gesehen habe, war "oha", sowohl erstaunt als auch entsetzt. Es sind zwei verschiedene Blautöne, Türkis und Rosa. So gar nicht das, was ich persönlich wählen würde. Aber es wäre ja keine Challenge, wenn man nicht mal aus seiner Komfortzone rauskommen müsste. Und mit dem Ergebnis bin ich doch zufrieden.
A new month - a new challenge. As of every first of each month we at Stamping-Fairies Blog are starting our new challenge today. For this month we picked a color scheme for you. My first thought when I saw the colors was "oops", both horrified and surprised. It's a mix of two different tones of blue, tuquoise and pink and so not what I would pick myself. But it wouldn't be a challenge if you'd always work in your own comfort zone. And I like the result.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich wieder den Wavy Coloring Book Background von MFT gewählt. Er ist mit weißem Embossingpulver embosst, dann habe ich das Papier mit Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon und Faded Jeans coloriert. Dabei habe ich nicht wirklich acht auf die Linien des Stempels gegeben, sondern die Farbe einfach großflächig verteilt.
Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann breite Spitze, Cheesecloth und etwas weißes Fischnetz geklebt.
For the background I used the Wavy Coloring Book Background by MFT again. It's heat embossed using white embossing powder and then colored in with Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon and Faded Jeans. I didn't care about the stamped lines when adding the ink but just put it on without a pattern. Then I added some wide lace, some cheesecloth and a piece of a white fishing net onto the background.
Die Meerjungfrau aus dem Mermazing-Stempelset (aus dem auch die anderen Stempel auf meiner Karte sind) ist ohne sichtbare Linien gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Schuppen habe ich mit Copic Spica und weinem weißen Gelmaker gemacht.
The mermaid (and all the other stamps I used on this card) is from the Mermazing stamp set and colored in with no visible lines again using my Copics. After coloring it in I used my Copic Spica pens and a white gel marker to finish off the tail.
In der Mitte der Karte habe ich einen Shakerteil eingearbeitet. Dafür habe ich die Szene gestempelt und coloriert und das Square Peek-a-Boo Window aus türkisfarbenem Carstock ausgestanzt. Dahinein habe ich eine der Square Shaker Pouches gesetzt, die mit Pailetten gefüllt ist.
Oben in die Ecke habe ich dann noch ein paar Muscheln geklebt.
In the middle of my card I've added this shaker. Therefor I stamped and colored in the scene and die cut the Square Peek-a-Boo Window from turquoise cardstock. Into the window I've put one of the Square Shaker Pouches that is filled with sequins.
At the end I've added a few sea shells to the top right of the window.
