Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge im März

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Das Thema der SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge im März ist "monochrom". Nun mag es zwar fast ein wenig offensichtlich sein, da eine Trauerkarte zu machen, denn schwarz/weiß bzw. Grautöne ist ja meist das erste, das einem da in den Sinn kommt. Aber nach einem Todesfall in der Familie fühlte es sich für mich richtig an.

The theme of the march IG challenge by SimonSaysStamp is "monochrome". It may be a bit obvious to make a sympathy card as the entry,  because black and white or shades of grey is the first thing that might come to mind. But after the death of a familiy member it just felt right to me.

 

Ich habe hier ein Stück  hellgrauen Cardstocks für den Hintergrund verwendet und darauf dann mit hellgrauer Tinte einen Trauertext von Efco  aufgestempelt. Ich habe ihn zweimal nebeneinander gestempelt, die Naht wird von der Deko verdeckt.

Dann habe ich schwarze Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

 

Here I used a piece of light grey cardstock for the background and stamped a sympathy text onto it using light grey ink. I stamped it two times next to each other, the seam is covered by the decorations. 

Then I added fine splatters of black acrylic paint.

 

Die Deko habe ich mittig auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Ich glaube, es war letztes Jahr, als Kelly Taylor eine Osterkarte gemacht hat, für die sie aus den Holzteilen des Wood Frame Builder Sets von HoneyBeeStamps ein Kreuz zusammengesetzt hat. Die Idee hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich sie hier nachgemacht habe. Ich habe die Holzteile aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert. Dann habe ich einen weißen Polychromo flach über den Cardstock gerieben, so dass die Maserung besser hervorkommt, und alles zu einem Kreuz zusammengesetzt.

Hinter das Kreuz habe ich einen runden Rahmen aus schwarzem Cardstock gesetzt, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock mit einer der Stitched Circle Frames von Create a Smile.

Außerdem habe ich ein schwarzes Band über das Kreuz gehängt. Das habe ich aus - etwas gekürzten - Teilen des Vorhangs aus dem Take the Stage Set von MFT aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Ohuhus schattiert. 

 

I attached the decorations centered onto the background. I think it was last year, that Kelly Taylor made an easter card where she used  the wooden pieces from Wooden Frame Builder by HoneyBeeStamps to put together a cross. I liked that idea so much that I copied it formy card. I cut the wooden pieces from grey cardstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers. Then I used a white Polychromo and dragged it flat over the cardstock to bring out the pattern more and glued everything together to form the cross.

Behind the cross I put a round frame, cut from black cardstock using one of the Stitched Circle Frames by Create a Smile. 

I also draped some black "fabric" over the cross. I created that from some - a bit shortened - pieces from the curtains from Take the Stage by MFT, cutting them from dark grey carstock and shading them with Ohuhu again.

 

 Das Kreuz habe ich dann mit Lilien dekoriert, die ich in echt nicht wirklich mag. Nicht wegen Ihrer Form, sondern wegen des Geruchs. Trotzdem sind sie, neben Callas, die absoluten Trauerblumen für mich. 

Hier habe ich den Flower Lilly Stempel von WhimsyStamps benutzt und die Blüten nach dem Colorieren einzeln ausgeschnitten. Ich habe  sie  mit grauer Tinte abgestempelt, das lässt die Motive weicher erscheinen, und sie dann fast No-Line mit Ohuhus coloriert. 

Der Text darunter ist aus dem With Sympathy Stempelset von AveryElle. Mir  ist klar, dass ich hier deutschen Text im Hintergrund und englisch für  den eigentlichen Text gemischt habe. Aber mir macht das nichts, und so kleine deutsche Trauertexte fehlen mir. Die finde ich alle zu groß. Ich habe den Text hier weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

I decorated the cross with lilies, that I don't really like in real life. Not because of their look but their smell. And still, besides Calla they are the perfect sympathy flowers to me.

Here I used the Flower Lilly stamp by WhimsyStamps and cut the flowers out individually after coloring them. I stamped them with grey ink, that makes the images softer, and then colored them with Ohuhu  markers. They nearly look like No-Line coloring.

The text underneath is from With Sympathy by AveryElle. I know that I mixed a german text in the background with an english main text. But it doesn't bother me, and I am really  missing small  german sympathy texts like that. These are all too large  for my taste. I white heat embossed the text onto black cardstock.

 

 Ich habe das Kreuz mit 3D  Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann auch die Blumen damit auf  dem Kreuz befestigt. Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige schwarze Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the cross with foam tape to the background and then also backed the flowers with foam tape. I added some black pearls as decoration and glued the card panel to a white note card.

Heute habe ich eine weitere Karte mit Stanzen aus dem Januar-Release von Concord and 9th für Euch. Ich war sofort in die Pommes samt Box verliebt - und die Wortspiele im dazugehörigen Stempelset sind ja absolut meins. Also machen wir mir dieser Karte einen Abstecher in das Land des Fast Food.

Today I have another card using dies from Concord and 9th's january release. I immediately fell in love with the french fries die set - and the puns in the matching stamp set are right down my alley. So with this card we are taking a trip into the world of fast food.

 

Wie so viele, verbinde ich mit Pommes die Farben rot, weiß und gelb. Ob das an der Kombi Pommes, Ketchup und Mayo oder doch eher an den Farben einer bekannten Fast Food Kette liegt, kann ich nicht so genau sagen. 

Den Hintergrund habe ich mit den Layered Sunburst Stencils von PinkFresh gemacht die es in verschiedenen Formaten gibt. Ich habe das Set in A2-Größe benutzt. Basis war hellgelber Cardstock, auf den habe ich dann Strahlen mit Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade und Candied Apple aufgetragen. Auf die Enden der Strahlen kam noch ein wenig Fired Brick. Die Strahlen überlagern sich teilweise und an manchen Stellenist noch die Originalfarbe des Cardstocks zu sehen. 

Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann erst Wasser und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Mittig auf den Cardstock habe ich dann diese "Blasenform", wie man sie aus Comics kennt, aufgeklebt. Sie ist der Rest des Comic Cover A2 von WhimsyStamps. Ich habe ein schwarzes und ein weißes Stanzteil leicht versetzt aufeinander und dann beides auf den Hintergrund geklebt. So heben sich die Pommes samt Box später besser vom Hintergrund ab. Außerdem finde ich, dass die Form super zum Design der Karte passt. 

 

Like many I have to think of the color combo of red, white and yellow when I think of french fries. I can't tell if that's because of french fries with ketchup and maionaise or because of the colors of a well known fast food brand.

For the background I used the Layered Sunburst Stencils by PinkFresh for the background. They are available in different sizes, I used the A2 ones. I started with a piece of light yellow cardstock and inked the rays on using Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple. Onto the ends of the red rays I applied a bit of Fired Brick. The rays overlay each other, in some spots there's still the original color of the cardstock visible.

I first splattered some droplets of water, then some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.

Onto the center of the cardstock I glued this "bubble", that's known from the world of comics. It's the left over piece from the Comic Cover A2 by WhimsyStamps. I stacked a black and a white die cut a bit offset and then glued both onto the background. This way the fries and box are visible more clearly on the background and I also think, the shape goes great with the card design. 

 

 Hier ist die Pommes-Box samt Inhalt aus dem So Fry-Tastic Stanzenset von Concord and 9th/Kristina Werner. Ich bekomme Hunger, wenn ich die Karte ansehe!

Die Box habe ich aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics leicht schattiert. Dann habe ich sie ein weiteres Mal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und daraus mit der Schere zwei Streifen, angepasst an die Form der Box, ausgeschnitten. Mit denen habe ich die Box dekoriert, damit sie nicht gar so nackt aussieht. 

Die Pommes in der Box bestehen aus fünf verschiedenen Lagen, die alle als einzelne Stanzen im Set enthalten sind. Außerdem gibt es noch zwei einzelne Pommes. Ich habe alles aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen hellgelben Cardstocks gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert. Die "Kante" habe ich dann mit einem hellbraunen Polychromo aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich etwas Distress Ink Gathered Twigs mit ein wenig Wasser gemischt und aufgespritzt. Die Idee mit dem "Salz" kommt von Jennifer McGuire. Ich habe winzige Tropfen Kleber auf die Pommes aufgetragen und dann etwas von dem Clear Rock Candy Glitter von Tim Holtz aufgestreut.

I cut the box from red cardstock and shaded it with Copics. Then I cut it again from white cardstock and used my scissors to cut out two strips of that white die cut, making them match the shape of the box. I used these to decorate the box so it's not just plain red.

 The fries in the box are made from 5 layers, that are all included in the die set as individual dies. There are also two single fries included. I cut all of them from two different shades of light yellow cardstock and shaded them with Copics. The "edges" I added with a light brown Polychromo. I also mixed a bit of Distress Ink Gathered Twigs with a bit of water and splattered it onto the fries. The idea of adding "salt" is by Jennifer McGuire. I applied tiny drops of liquid glue to the fries and then sprinkled some of the Clear Rock Candy glitter by  Tim Holtz into the glue.

 

 Auch das ausgestanzte Wort Fries ist aus dem Stanzenset. Ich habe zwei Lagen gelben Cardstocks aufeinander geklebt und alles it einer Lage aus schwarzem Cardstock als Schatten hinterlegt. Es gibt eine Shadow Layer für die großen Worte, aber das war mir hier zu plakativ. Statt des I-Punkts habe ich ein weißes Herz aufgeklebt.

Die kleinen Textteile sind aus dem So Fry-Tastic Stempelset und einfach weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.  Und weil mein Mann das Wortspiel nicht sofort verstanden hat, es bezieht sich natürlich auf "I only have eyes for you". ;)

An die untere Kante der Pommesbox habe ich dann noch die beiden einzelnen Pommes geklebt.

 

Also the die cut word "fries" is from the die set. I stacked two layers of yellow cardstock and then added a black word behind them as a shadow layer. There is a larger shadow layer for the words included in the set, but that would have covered to much of the box here. Instead of the dot on the i I used a white clay heart.

The smaller texts are fro the So Fry-Tastic stamp set and simply heat embossed white onto black cardstock. 

Onto the bottom of the box I then glued the two individual fries.

 

 Die Pommesbox ist mit 3D Tape auf die weiße Blase geklebt, dann habe ich damit auch die Blase samt Deko auf dem Hintergrund angebracht. 

Rund um die Deko habe ich einige schwarze Glitzersteine verteilt, dann den dekorierten Cardstock schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the box of fries to the white bubble with foam tape, then used more tape to adhere the bubble with the decoration onto the background.

I added some black rhinestones around the image, then matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white note card.

 

All is calm, all is bright

Heute habe ich eine weitere, farblich nicht ganz traditionelle Weihnachtskarte für Euch. Aber ich hatte all die Sterne von einer meiner letzten Karten übrig. Und auch wenn ich nicht der "Schipsel-Aufhebe-Typ" bin, die Sterne haben doch irgendwie "nutze uns" gerufen. Es ist zwar offensichtlich nur einer davon auf der Karte gelandet, eigentlich sind es aber 6 Stück, die ich aufeinander geklebt habe.

Today I have another not so traditional in color christmas card for you. I had all those die cut stars left over from one of my last cards. I am usually not the "keep/re-use all the scraps" type of crafter, but those stars seem to be screaming "use us" at me. It looks like I only used one here, but there are actually 6 of them, that I stacked.

 

 Ich habe hier zwei verschiedene Embossingfolder verwendet: den Tall Pines von SimonSaysStamp und den Snowflakes Frame von Darice. Mit beiden habe ich schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

Der Cardstock mit den eingeprägten Bäumen befindet sich im Hintergrund. Ich habe mit einem weißen Stempelkissen, das ich über den Cardstock gezogen habe, die Bäume etwas hervorgehoben. Außerdem habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Aus dem Cardstock, den ich mit den Schneeflocken geprägt habe, habe ich eines der Stained Glass Windows von WhimsyStamps ausgestanzt. Außerdem habe ich mit der nächst größeren Stanze und einer Schere einen dünnen Rahmen aus Vellum geschnitten und um das Fenster geklebt. Auf die Schneeflocken habe ich außerdem ein ganz klein wenig eisblauen Gilding Waxes aufgetupft. 

 

I used two different embossing folders on this card: Tall Pines by SimonSaysStamp and the Snowflakes Frame by Darice. I used both two emboss two pieces of black cardstock.

The cardstock with the embossed trees is in the background. I dragged a white ink pad over the trees to bring out the trees a bit more. I also splattered white acrylic paint onto this panel.

From the cardstock, that I embossed the snowflakes into, I die cut one of the Stained Glass Window dies by WhimsyStamps. I used the next larger die and my scissors to create a thin frame from vellum and glued that around the window. Onto the snowflakes a put down a tiny bit of an icy blue Gilding Wax.  

 

 In das Fenster habe ich dann drei Tannen geklebt. Die sind mit dem Stanzenset Adventstürchen Tannenbaum von CreativeDepot gemacht. Ich habe sie aus grau-grünem Cardstock gestanzt und von unten ein wenig mit Distress Ink Iced Spruce gewischt. Dann habe ich sie mit Snow Flock im oberen Teil beschneit. 

Ich habe die Bäume innerhalb des Fensters auf den Hintergrund geklebt und die schon erwähnten gestackten Sterne über dem größten Baum aufgeklebt. Die kleineren Bäume sind jeweils mit einem kleinen Stern an der Spitze geschmückt.

 

I glued three pine trees into the window. I used the Adventstürchen Tannenbaum by CreativeDepot to cut them from grey-green cardstock and inked the bottom with a bit of Distress Ink Iced Spruce. Then I covered the top with some Snow Flock.

I adhered the trees inside the window and placed the large stacked  star, that I already mentioned, above the large tree. The smaller ones I decorated with a small star on the top.

 

 Im unteren Bereich habe ich dann noch einen der Ilexzweige aus dem Stempelset Weihnachtsbaum schräg über  den Rahmen geklebt. Den habe ich schwarz auf grau-grünen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics schön gedeckt coloriert. Nach dem Ausschneiden habe ich die Ilexblätter mit Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter ein wenig gerfrostet und auf die Beeren Glossy Accents aufgetragen.

Der Text ist aus einem Stempelset von SU. Eigentlich hatte ich es schon aussortiert, dann durfte es aber zurück und ich habe es seitdem schon einige Male benutzt. Der Text ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

Außerdem habe ich mit der Christmas Word Stanze von WhimsyStamps aus Vellum noch das Wort Christmas ausgestanzt und quer über die Tannen geklebt.

 

In the lower area I glued a branch with holly leaves from the Weihnachtsbaum stamp set by CreativeDepot across the frame. I stamped that onto grey-green cardstock and colored it in muted colors using my Copics. After cutting the branch out I added some Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter onto the tips of the leaves to give them a frosty look and applied some Glossy Accents on top of the berries.

The text is from an older set by SU. I had already purged that but than brought it back and have used it several times since. I white heat embossed the text onto black cardstock.

I also used the Christmas Word die by WhimsyStamps  to cut the word christmas from vellum and glued that across the trees.

 

 Die Tannen sind mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Das befindet sich auch hinter den Texten. Den Ilexzweig habe ich mit dickem, den Cardstock mit dem Fenster sogar mit aufgedoppeltem dickem Cardstock angeklebt.

Ich habe als Deko einige hellblaue irisierende Glitzersteine aufgeklebt, die auch dazu dienen, den Kleber hinter dem Vellum-Rahmen zu verstecken. 

Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used thin foam tape to adhere the trees to the background and also put some of it behind the text. To glue down the holly branch I used thick foam tape and even doubled it up behind the cardstock with the cut out window. 

I added a few light blue rhinestones as decoration, that also help hiding the glue behind the vellum frame.

Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.

 

Christmas Greetings

Heute habe ich eine Window Shaker Weihnachtskarte für Euch. Ideengeber für die Kartenart war, mal wieder, Jennifer McGuire. Ende Oktober hatte sie ein Video für dafür gepostet und ich wollte sie unbedingt ausprobieren.

Today I have a window shaker christmas card to share. Once again I've seen this type of card in a video of Jennifer McGuire. She postet it end of october and I really wanted to try it.

 

 Wie der Name schon verrät, ist hier ein Shaker in die Karte eingebaut. Allerdings ist der vorne und hinten durchsichtig, so dass man, wie durch ein Fenster, das Innere der Karte sehen kann.

Ich habe hier einen oben gefalteten Kartenrohling aus weißem Cardstock als Basis verwendet und aus ihm sowie einem etwas kleineren Stück olivgrünen Cardstocks jeweils das zweitgrößte der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames  von WaffleFlower ausgestanzt. 

Den grünen Cardstock habe ich mit etwas Distress Ink Forest Moss gewischt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

As the name says already there is a shaker included in this card. But it's clear on the front and back so, just like through a window, you can see the inside of the card through it.

I used a top folded white note card for my base and cut the second largest Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower from it and a slightly smaller piece of olive green cardstock.

I shaded the green cardstock lightly with Distress Ink Forest Moss and then splattered white acrylic paint onto it. 

 

 Auf die vordere Folien-Lage des Shakers habe ich die Ilexblätter aus dem Vintage Poinsettia Stempelset von WhimsyStamps mit silbernem Glitter-Embossingpulver aufembosst - einmal oben und einmal unten. Die Beeren habe ich von der Rückseite her mit einem weißen Acrylmarker ausgefüllt.

Ich habe den Shaker mit klaren, hellgrünen und silber-weißen Mini-Perlen gefüllt. 

Die untere Lage der Folie versteckt sich unter dem grünen Cardstock, als oberen Abschluss habe ich einen weiteren der Ticket Frames aufgeklebt. Den habe ich aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. 

 

I heat embossed the holly leaves from the Vintage Poinsettia stamp set by WhimsyStamps with silver glitter embossing powder onto the top acetate layer of the shaker - I stamped the image once onto the top and once onto the bottom of the acetate. I filled the berries with a white acrylic marker, putting the paint onto the back of the acetate.

I filled the shaker with clear, light green and silver-white micro beads.

The bottom acetate layer of the shaker is hidden behind the green cardstock, as the top layer of the shaker I cut another of the ticket frames from silver glitter cardstock.

 

 Ich habe den Ticket-Rahmen nicht ganz mittig aus meiner Karte, sondern etwas nach unten versetzt gestempelt. So blieb oben am Rahmen genug Platz für eine große Schleife. Die ist eine Kombi aus einer der Schleifen aus dem Geschenkbänder und Schleifen Set sowie den Enden der Großen Schleife, beides von Charlie und Paulchen. Die kringeln sich so schön nach unten und verdecken auch das obere Motiv nicht so, wie die zur Schleife gehörenden Enden.

Ich habe die Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Copics schattiert und auf den Rahmen geklebt. Die Schleifenteile habe ich dabei etwas mit dem Finger gerundet.

 

I didn't cut the ticket frame centered from my card but moved it a bit down. Now there was room for a bow at the top. The bow is a combination from one of the bows from Geschenkbänder and Schleifen  and the ends of the Große Schleife set, both by Charlie und Paulchen. Those ends curl up so nicely and they also don't cover as much of the holly leaves at the top as the regular ends, coming with the bow die, does.

I cut the pieces from white cardstock, shaded them with Copics and adhered them to the frame. Before putting the bow together I rounded the pieces slightly with my fingernail.

 

 Im unteren Bereich habe ich quer über den Shaker meinen Text geklebt.

Das Wort Christmas ist aus dem Stanzenset Christmas Season von Altenew. Ich habe es einnmal aus weißem und einmal aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und die Teile aufeinander sowie auf den Shaker geklebt. Den I-Punkt habe ich durch eine weiße Perle ersetzt und zwei weitere, kleinere darüber angeklebt.

Das kleine Greetings darunter ist aus dem Set Itty Bitty Holidays von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

In the lower half I adhered my text all across the shaker.

The word christmas I from the Christmas Season die set by Altenew. I cut it from white and dark green cardstock, stacked them and adhered them across the shaker. I replaced the dot above the I with a white pearl and added two more right above the first one.

The small greetings is from Itty Bitty Holidays by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Es ist wirklich schwer, die glitzernden Motive auf dem Shaker zu fotografieren, er reflektiert wirklich stark. Aber ich denke, Ihr könnt es erahnen.

Mit einem silbernen Gelstift habe ich noch einen Rahmen entlang des äußeren Bereichs des grünen Cardstocks sowie des Shakers aufgemalt.

 

It's really hard to take a picture of the glittery images on top of the shaker, everything is just reflecting the light too much. But I'm sure you can kind of see it.

I used a silver gel pen to draw a frame along the outer edge of the green cardstock and also the shaker.

 

 So sieht die geöffnete Karte aus - und hier sieht man den durchsichtigen Shaker echt gut. 

Den weißen Ticket-Rahmen, den ich aus der Kartenbasis gestanzt habe, habe ich von innen gegen die hintere Folie geklebt, um das 3D Tape, das ich für den Shaker brauchte, zu verdecken.

 

This is the opened card - and you can see the see-through shaker pretty well here.

From the inside I glued the white ticket frame, that I had cut from the front of my card base, onto the back acetate piece of the shaker to hide the foam tape I had used to create my shaker.

 

 Den Cardstock, der durch den Shaker sichtbar ist, könnt Ihr hier sehen.

Ich habe ein Stück hellgrünen Cardstocks mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint schattiert und dann mit weißer Pigment-Tinte den Christmas Background von MFT aufgestempelt. 

Im unteren Bereich habe ich ein weiteres Ilex-Motiv aus dem selben Stempelset wieder mit silbernem Glitter-Embossing-Pulver aufembosst und die sichtbaren Beeren weiß ausgefüllt.

Auch der Text im Inneren ist aus dem Itty Bitty Holidays Set von MFT. Ich habe hier das Wort Christmas, das sich ja schon auf der Vorderseite befindet, durch ein Season eines anderen Texts ersetzt. 

Den schwarzen Streifen mit dem weiß aufembossten Text habe ich dann quer über den grünen Cardstock geklebt. Er ist durch den Shaker ein wenig zu sehen, wird aber doch recht gut from gestanzten Wort verdeckt.

Mit einem silbernen Gelstift habe ich auch hier einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

 

This is the cardstock, that's visible through the shaker. 

I shaded a piece of light green cardstock with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and stamped the Christmas Background by MFT with white pigment ink onto it.

In the lower area I stamped another holly leaves image from the same set onto the cardstock. I heat embossed it with the silver glitter cardstock and again filled the berries white.

The text on the inside is again from Itty Bitty Holidays by MFT I replaced the word christmas, that I already used on the front of the card, with the word season from another text of the set. I  glued the black cardstock strip with the white heat embossed text across the green cardstock. It's slightly visible through the shaker but the die cut word hides it pretty well.

Again I used a silver gel pen to draw a frame onto the cardstock.

 

 Und wenn Ihr Euch jetzt fragt, wo denn hier Platz für einen persönlichen Text ist: auch daran hat Jennifer gedacht. Der grüne Cardstock ist nämlich auf einer weiteren, aber etwas kleineren, oben gefalteten Karte angebracht. Darin ist dann genug Platz für persönliche Worte.

 

And if you wonder where you can add a personal text here: Jennifer also thought of that. The green cardstock is adhered to another, slighliy smaller top folding note card. Inside of it you have plenty of room to write some personal words.

 

It' Halloween!

Halloween ist endlich da! Und zur Feier des Tages habe ich heute eine weitere, letzte Halloween-Karte für Euch. Die ist gleichzeitig auch meine letzte Karte als Mitglied des WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Team.

It's finally Halloween! And of course when would you post a Halloween card if not today?! This is also my last card as a member of the WhimsyStamps Halloweeners team. 

Ich hatte ja als erste Projekt für das Team eine Karte mit der Mumie aus dem Monster CloseUp Stempelset gemacht. Und ich fand, die Zeit auch mit einem Motiv aus diesem Set abzuschließen, passt irgendwie. Diesmal habe ich mich für den Vampir entschieden.

 Ich wollte den Vampir nicht in einen eckigen Rahmen packen, es sollte mehr so aussehen, als würde er hinter einer Mauer oder Hecke hervorschauen. 

Zuerst habe ich den Fantasy Frame aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich ein Stück lilafarbenen Cardstock in der Größe des Fantasy Frame zugeschnitten und aus der Mitte einen der kleineren Rahmen aus dem Set herausgestanzt. Dahinter passte dann der Vampir.

Und um das ganze etwas aufzulockern, habe ich aus grünem Cardstock noch den Thorny Frame gestanzt und in Stücke geschnitten. Die habe ich dann so zwischen dem lilafarbenen und dem schwarzen Cardstock arrangiert, dass die Ranken nach innen zeigen und jeweils seitlich und unten hinter dem schwarzen Cardstock zu sehen sind.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann noch die obere Kante des Drippy Frame gestanzt und blutrot coloriert. Dann habe ich ihn mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich ihn dann entlang der oberen Kante hinter den schwarzen Rahmen geklebt.

Die verwendeten Cardstocks sind jeweils von Cardstock Warehouse. Von denen ist auch das Vellum, das ich hinter die aus dem schwarzen Cardstock ausgestanzten Sterne geklebt habe.

 

I have started this DT term with a card using the mummy from Monster CloseUps. And I thought it would be nice to also end it with an image from this set. This time I've chosen the vampire.

I didn't want to put the vampire into a rectangle frame. I wanted it to look, like he's peeking from behind a wall or a hedge.

First I die cut the Fantasy Frame from black cardstock. Then I cut a piece of purple cardstock in the size of the frame and cut one of the smaller dies from the set from the center. The vampire fits behind it perfectly.

To have some more contrast between the purple and black cardstock I cut the Thorny Frame from green cardstock and cut it into pieces. I arranged those between the black and the purple cardstock in a way, that vines are visible at both sides and the bottom. The edge of the oval frame from this die cut I put on the outside and have hidden it behind the black cardstock.

From white cardstock I then die cut the top edge of the Drippy Frame die and colored it a bloody red using Copoics. I covered it with Glossy Accents and, after it had dried, I glued it behind the top edge of the black  frame.

The papers I used are from Cardstock Warehouse. From them is also the vellum, that I used to back the stars, that get cut from the Fantasy Frame die.

 

 Hier ist der Vampir. Ich habe ihn mit schwarzer Tinte abgestempelt und dabei die seitlichen Rahmenlinien nicht mit eingefärbt. Sie wären nicht vom lilafarbenen Cardstock verdeckt worden. Aber beim Vampirgesicht ist das problemlos machbar. 

Coloriert habe ich den Vampir mit Copics und dabei rote Augen mit aufgemalt. Die Haut habe ich in einem blassen Blau coloriert. Die Augen und die Haare habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen, die Stempellinie des Munds habe ich mit einem roten Glaze Pen nachgemalt.  

 

Here's the vampire. I stamped him with black ink and covered up the frame lines on the left and right. The purple cardstock wouldn't have covered those. But with the vampire face this works great.

I used Copics to color the vampire and added some glowy red eyes. The skin I colored a light blue. I covered the eyes and hair with Glossy Accents, the stamped line of the mouth I re-drew with a red Glaze pen.

 

 Für meinen Text wollte ich eigentlich erst nur das Mwaahahahaa, das ich hier am unteren Ende der Karte aufgeklebt habe, im oberen Bereich der Karte verwenden und unten einen Halloweengruß hinzufügen. Aber dann fiel mir das Scary Night Stanzenset in die Hand - das sieht mit dem herabtropfenden Schleim doch fast ebenfalls aus wie Blut.... Also habe ich mich umentschieden.

Das Wort Scary habe ich aus lilafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, das "Blut" darauf aus weißem Cardstock, den ich dann coloriert habe. Da in dem Set kein Fragezeichen enthalten ist, habe ich einfach ein weiteres R gestanzt, es etwas zugeschnitten und mit dem I-Punkt aus dem Wort Night ergänzt. Anschließend habe ich hinter alles noch eine Lage Vellum geklebt, damit sich der Text besser von den Elementen darunter abhebt.

Das Blut auf den Buchstaben habe ich wieder mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

Das schon erwähnte Mwaahahahaa habe ich zweimal weiß auf lilafarbenen Cardstock embosst, ebenfalls mit Vellum hinterlegt und unten auf die Karte aufgeklebt. Der Vampir scheint zu fragen Gruselig? Hahahaha - wartet nur auf heute Nacht!  

 

Originally I wanted to use the Mwaahahahaa, that I glued onto the bottom of the card, at its top and add a Halloween greeting at the bottom. But then I came accross the Scary Night die set - with the dripping edges it kind of looks like blood again... So I changed my mind.

I die cut the word scary from purple cardstock, the "blood" from white and colored it red. Since there isn't a question mark included in this set I simply die cut another R, cut it down a bit and put the dot from the I of "night" under it. 

I put a layer cut from vellum behind the word, just to make it pop a bit more from the elements underneath. 

I covered the blood on the letters with Glossy Accents again.

The already mentioned Mwaahahahaa I white heat embossed two times onto purple cardstock and matted it with Vellum. Then I glued it onto the bottom of the frame. The vampire seems to say "Scary? Hahaha - wait for tonight!".

 

 Zum Zusasmmensetzen der Karte habe ich wieder 3D Tape benutzt. Das befindet sich nicht nur hinter den Texten sondern jeweils auch zwischen den Rahmen bzw. dem Rahmen und dem Motiv. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

To put the card together I used foam tape. There's some behind the texts and also between the frames and frame and image.

Then I attached the card panel to a white card base.

Vor etwa zwei Wochen habe ich Euch ja die Karte mit dem Graveyard Tour Bus samt Katzen-Busfahrer gezeigt und erzählt, dass die Karte eigentlich komplett anders geplant war. Nun, die Tickets, die ich eigentlich benutzen wollte, waren schon gemacht. Also habe ich einfach "auf die Schnelle" eine weitere Karte gemacht. Und das meine ich wirklich so. Normalerweise sitze ich mindestens 3 Stunden an einer Karte - und das ist noch niedrig angesetzt. Diese hier war aber in etwas über 1 Stunde fertig - die Herstellzeit für die Tickets nicht mit eingerechnet.

About two weeks ago I shared with you the card with the Graveyard Tour Bus and busdriver cat. I also told you, that I had planned this card compeltly. I had already made those tickets that I wanted to use originally. So I quickly made another card to use those, too. And I really mean that when I say "quickly". Usually it takes me at least 3 hours to make a card - and that's one of the simpler ones then. But this one was done in just a little over an hour - not included the time it took to create the tickets.

 

 Der Hintergrund mag Euch bekannt vorkommen - auch er ist per Ink Smooshing mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge und Dusty Concord auf Watercolor Cardstock entstanden. Und auch hier habe ich die Ränder mit Black Soot gewischt. Allerdings habe ich hier nichts auf den Hintergrund aufembosst und statt schwarzer weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich eines der Spinnenetze aus Spiders and Webs ausgestanzt und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

 

The background may look familiar to you - again I did ink smooshing with Distress Ink Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge and Dusty Concord on watercolor cardstock. And again I inked the edges with Black Soot. But here I didn't add any images or patterns to the background and used white acrylic paint instead of black for the splatters. 

I die cut one of the spider webs from Spiders and Webs from white cardstock and glued it onto the background. 

 

 Für die Tickets habe ich die Terrific Ticket Window Stanze aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und dann in drei einzelne Tickets zerschnitten. Auch die kleinen Tickets, die eigentlich seitlich angestanzt werden, habe ich weggeschnitten.

Dann habe ich zwei Motive aus dem Terrific Halloween Tickets Stempelset mit schwarzem StazOn auf Acetate gestempelt. Ich habe sie hinter die schwarzen Rahmen geklebt und den Totenkopf sowie die Geister von hinten mit einem weißen Acrylmarker gefüllt. 

Die Tickets habe ich dann mit dünnem 3D Tape mittig auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

For the tickets I die cut the Terrific Ticket Window die from black cardstock and cut it into three individual tickets. I also cut off the small ticktes, that get cut on the side.

I used black StazOn to stamp two of the tickets from Terrific Halloween Tickets onto acetate and glued those behind the frames. I filled the ghosts and skull with a white acrylic marker on the back of the acetate.

I adherd the tickets to the center of the background using thin foam tape.

 

 Wo ein Spinnennetz ist, darf eine Spinne natürlich nicht fehlen! Diese hier hat einen frischen Augapfel aus dem Netz gefischt... Lecker! 

Auch die Spinne ist aus Spiders and Webs und aus schwarzem Cadstock gestanzt. Den Körper habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Die Augäpfel sind aus Jeepers Creepers. Ich habe sie ganz einfach mit Copics in lila und grün schattiert und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Das Grüne in den Augen, das ich bewusst über die gestempelte Iris hinaus coloriert habe, habe ich ebenfalls mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

 

Where there is a spider web there also has to be a spider! This one just plucked a fresh eyeball from the web... Yummy!

Also the spider is from Spiders and Webs. I cut it from black cardstock and covered just the body with Glossy Accents.

The eyeballs are from Jeepers Creepers. I shaded them very simply with purple and green Copics and cut them out with my scissors.  The green colored irises, that I made larger than the stamped on iris on purpose, I coverd again with Glossy Accents.

 

 Auch am unteren Rand der Karte befindet sich eine Spinne. 

Ich habe weitere Augäpfel coloriert und ausgeschnitten und auf der Karte verteilt aufgeklebt. Dazwischen habe ich einige silberne Sternkonfetti aufgeklebt.

 

There's another spider at the bottom of the card.

I colored more eyeballs and adhered them everywhere on the card. Between them I put some silver star confetti. 

 

 Und dann weiß ich selbst nicht mehr, wie ich auf die Idee kam. Aber ich habe die komplette, bereits dekorierte Karte, mit ganz feinem silbernen Garn umwickelt. Das verdeckt quasi nichts von den Motive, glänzt aber, je nachdem wie man die Karte hält, wunderbar und immer an einer anderen Stelle, und gefällt mir hier echt super.

 Mit einem schwarzen Fineliner habe ich noch einen dünnen Rahmen auf den Cardstock gemalt und ihn dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I don't remember myself how I came up with that, but I decided to wrap the compelte, already decorated card with a very thin silver thread. It does not cover any of the images, but adds a wonderful shine in different spots, depending on how you tilt the card, and looks just amazing.

I drew a frame onto the background with a black fineliner and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Süße Hexenbesen

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Gerade zu Halloween mache ich gerne kleine Verpackungen für Süßigkeiten. Heute habe ich süß gefüllte Hexenbesen für mein Werk für das Halloweeners Team von WhimsyStamps. Die sind gar nicht aufwändig und vielleicht noch eine Inspiration, falls jemand von Euch noch auf der Suche nach einer Idee ist.

I love to make little Halloween treats to fill with candy. The project I made for the WhimsyStamps Halloweeners team today are witchs' brooms filled with candy. They are not too hard to make and may be an inspiration if you're still looking for an idea.

 

Als Basis für die Hexenbesen habe ich Reagenzgläser benutzt. 

Aus schwarzem und farbigem Cardstock - bei mir gibt es einen grüne, eine lilafarbene und eine orangefarbene Variante - habe ich Streifen von 7 cm Höhe geschnitten. Die habe ich dann erst längst bei 1 und 1,5 cm gefalzt und dann von beiden Seiten bis zu den Falzen eingeschnitten. Das geht super mit einer Schere. Ich habe eine Fringe-Schere mit fünf Klingen, die macht gleich fünf Einschnitte auf einmal. Es gibt sie wohl für den Nähbedarf, Ikea hat sie aber auch als Kräuterschere verkauft. Aber auch mit einer normalen Schere ist das Einschneiden schnell gemacht, die einzelnen Streifen müssen ja nicht unbedingt gleich breit sein. Nur zu breit sollten sie nicht werden. 

Ich habe übrigens dünneren Cardstock - eher Tonpapier - verwendet, damit der Besenteil nicht zu dick wird. 

Ich habe jeweils einen farbigen und einen schwarzen Streifen an dem schmalen Stück zwischen den beiden Falzungen aufeinander geklebt und sie dann  um das Reagenzglas gewickelt. Die Enden habe ich mit einem Tropfen Kleber verschlossen. 

 

I used test tubes as the base of my brooms.

I cut 7 cm tall strips from black and colored cardstock - I made an orange, a green and a purple version. I scored these along the long side at 1 and 1,5 cm and used scissors to make cuts on both sides of the score lines. I have some fringe scissors with 5 shears, that make 5 cuts at once. They are from the sewing section but Ikea also sold them as herb scissors here in Germany. But you can easily do this with regular scissors, too. The strips don't have to be the exact same width, just don't make them too wide. 

By the way, I used thinner cardstock here so the brooms don't get too thick.

I glued a colored and a black strip on top of each other, putting the glue between the two score lines, and then wrapped them around the open end of the test tubes. The ends I sealed with a drop of liquid glue. 

 

 

 Als Deko habe ich etwas farblich zum verwendeten Cardstock passendes Twine um die Borsten gewickelt und dort einen Halloween-Gruß mit angebunden. Der ist Teil eines der Tickets aus dem Terrific Halloween Tickets Stempelset. Ich habe ihn weiß embosst und dann ausgeschnitten. Den farbigen Streifen mit dem aufembossten Text habe ich dann noch weiß hinterlegt und vorne ein kleines Loch eingestanzt. Durch das habe ich das Twine gezogen und zu einer Schleife gebunden.

 

As decoration I wrapped some twine, matching the color of each broom, around the bristles and tied a Halloween greeting to it. The greeting is part of one of the ticket stamps from Terrific Halloween Tickets. I white heat embossed it and cut it out. Then I put a strip of white cardstock behind each colored strip and punched a little hole at the end of the strip. I put the twine through the hole and tied it to a bow.

 

 Oben am Reagenzglas war dann jeweils Platz für ein weiteres kleines Ticket. Ich habe das aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und dafür die Terrific Tickets Stanze benutzt. 

Auf jedes Ticket, das ich hier im Hochformat benutzt habe, habe ich dann weiß das "trick or treat" aus dem Set Got Peepers aufembosst und anschließend dahinter mit Black Soot einen Hexenbesen aufgewischt. Der ist eines der vielen Motive aus dem Terrific Tickets Halloween Layering Stencil Set und passte hier natürlich perfekt. 

Auch die Tickets habe ich jeweils weiß hinterlegt und außerdem mit silbernen Stickles einen schmalen Rahmen aufgetragen. 

Als Deko habe ich ans obere Ende jedes Tickets noch eine Fledermaus aus schwarzem Cardstock aus dem Bat Revealers Set angeklebt. Nun sieht es fast so aus, als würde die Fledermaus die Tickets halten. Zum Ankleben der Tickets habe ich jeweils einen Glue Dot benutzt.

  Ich habe die Reagenzgläser mit kleinen Schokostückchen gefüllt und sie dann verschlossen. Zum Aufstellen, und natürlich für die Optik, habe ich das obere und untere Ende der Besenborsten jeweils mit den Fingern auseinander gedrückt, so steht der Besen auch sicher.

 

To the top of the test tubes I adhered a small ticket. I die cut those from colored cardstock again and used the Terrific Tickets die for it.

Onto each ticket, that I used in a portrait orientation here, I white heat embossed the "trick or treat" from Got Peepers and stenciled a broom behind it with Black Soot.  It's one of the many images from the Terrific Tickets Halloween Layering Stencil pack and was just perfect here.

I backed each ticket with a white one, too, and drew a thin frame with silver Stickles.

As decoration I glued a bat, cut from black cardstock using the Bat Revealers die set, to the top of each ticket. Now it looks like the bat is carrying the ticket. To adhere the tickets to the test tubes I used a small Glue Dot.

I filled the test tubes with small choco chunks and closed them. To make the broom stand securely, and to make them look more real, I used my fingers to bend the bristles outwards.

Halloween ist fast da!  Und um zu beweisen, dass Halloween auch in anderen als im klassischen Grün, Orange oder Lila geht, habe ich heute mal eine pinkfarbene Halloweenkarte für Euch.

It's nearly Halloween! To show, that you don't have to use the traditdional green, orange or purple for your Halloween creations I went with pink for this Halloween card.

 

Wie Ihr seht, ist alles für das große Spuktreiben vorbereit.

Der Hintergrund hier ist mit  der Fantasy Frame Stanze gemacht. Ich habe den großen Rahmen aus rosafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Ränder wollte ich etwas abdunkeln und habe sie mit Distress Ink Aged Mahogany gewischt. Das war dann aber vom Ton her doch zu rot, also habe ich noch Picked Raspberry darübergelegt.

Hinter die Sterne des Rahmens habe ich silbernen Glitter-Cardstock geklebt.

Und hinter diesem Rahmen befinden sich zwei weitere Lagen Cardstocks. Im Stanzenset sind auch zwei kleinere Stanzen enthalten, die der Form des inneren Rahmens nachempfunden, aber kleiner sind. Ich habe den größeren dieser beiden Rahmen aus schwarz-silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und dahinter schwarzen Cardstock gesetzt.

 

As you can see is everything ready for the big spook night.

I made the background using the Fantasy Frame die. I die cut the  large frame from pink cardstock. I wanted to darken the edges and inked them with Distress Ink Aged Mahogany. That looked more red than I had thought so I put some Picked Raspberry on top.

Behind the stars, that get cut out of the frame, I put some silver glitter cardstock.

And behind this large frame there are two more layers of cardstock. In the die set there are also two more dies, that have the same shape as the inner frame of the main die, but are smaller in size. I cut the larger of those smaller frames from a piece of silver-black glitter cardstock and put black cardstock behind it.

 

 Das Design meiner Karte ist recht "fußlastig", aber es passte einfach alles zu schön zusammen. 

Der große, mit Süßem gefüllte Kürbis ist aus dem Set Got Peepers. Ich habe ihn mit No-Line Coloring Ink von InkOn3 abgestempelt und dann mit Copics coloriert. Dabei habe ich nur Grau- und Rosatöne benutzt. Einige Teile der Süßigkeiten habe ich mit silbernen Stickles beglittert.

Hinter dem Kürbiseimer lugt schon mal ein Geist hervor. Der ist aus dem Peeking Ghosts Set und aus Vellum gestanzt. Das habe ich mit Polychromos ganz leicht rosa schattiert. Und weil ich die Augen hinterlegen wollte, hinter dem Vellum aber ja keinen Cardstock ankleben kann, habe ich das Gesicht nochmal aus rosafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Teile habe ich ebenfalls mit Aged Mahogany und Picked Raspberry gewischt und dann hinter den entsprechenden Ausstanzungen im Geist auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Eine schwarze Katze darf an Halloween natürlich auch nicht fehlen. Auch sie ist aus dem Set Got Peepers und lugt eigentlich hinter einem Hexenhut hervor. Den habe ich aber einfach weggeschnitten und die Katze hinter den Rahmen gesteckt.

Und damit auch niemand vergisst, welcher Tag heute ist, habe ich hinter dem Eimer noch ein Schild mit dem heutigen Datum aufgestellt. Ich habe dafür mit der Terrific Tickets Window  Stanze eines der kleinen Tickets aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und mit weißem Embossingpulver einen Teil eines der kleinen Texte aus dem Set Terrific Halloween Tickets aufembosst. Ein Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks hinter dem Ticket dient als Stempen. Mit einem weißen Gelstift habe ich außerdem einen Rahmen aufgemalt. 

Teil meines Textes ist ebenfalls hier unten auf der Karte angebracht. Ich habe das Halloween mit der Happy Halloween Word Stanzenset aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, das kleine "it's" ist aus dem Stempelset Scream Time.

 

The design of this card is pretty bottom heavy but it all looked so great together.

The large treatfilled pumpkin bucket is from Got Peepers. I stamped it with No-Line Coloring Ink by InkOn3 and colored it with Copiocs. I only used greys and pinks for my coloring. Onto a few parts of the candy I put some silver Stickles.

A ghost is peeking from behind the pumpkin bucket. It's from the Peeking Ghosts die set and cut from vellum. I did very little pink shading on it using Polychromos. And since I wanted to put some colored cardstock behind the cut outs of the face but wasn't able to glue anything to the back of the vellum, I simply cut the face again from pink cardstock. I inked the pieces again with Aged Mahogany and Picked Raspberry and then glued them in the right spot onto the background behind the ghost.

Of course there has to be a black cat on Halloween. It's again from Got Peepers and originally is peeking out from behind a witch's hat. I cut that off and tucked the cat behind the frame.

To make sure everyone realizes today's date I put up a sign behind the pumpkin bucket. For that I die cut a small ticket from black cardstock using the Terrific Tickets Window die and white heat embossed part of one of the small texts from Terrific Halloween Tickets onto it. A piece of black cardstock behind the ticket makes the post. I also added a thin frame with a white gel pen.

I also adhered part of my text to the bottom of the card. I die cut the Halloween from black cardstock using the Happy Halloween Word die set, the small "it's" is from Scream Time.

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich eine Mondsichel mit Wolken, ebenfalls aus Got Peepers, auf den schwarzen Cardstock im Hintergrund der Karte aufgeklebt. Auf den Cardstock habe ich zuvor etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Und damit die Karte hier oben nicht komplett leer ist, habe ich noch einen weiteren Text aufgeklebt. Auch der ist aus Scream Time und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

In the upper part of the card I adhered a crescent moon with small clouds, again from Got Peepers, onto the black cardstock in the background. Before I had splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.

And to fill the upper half of the card at least a little I added another text there. It's also from Scream Time and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte habe ich zwischen die einzelnen Rahmen jeweils dünnes 3D Tape geklebt. 

Als letzte Schritte habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen dünnen Rahmen auf den rosafarbenen Cardstock gemalt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the car together I put thin foam tape between the frames.

As a last step I drew a thin frame onto the pink cardstock using a black fineliner. Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.
