Alles wird gut - mit Pflanzen!

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, ist für einen Pflanzenliebhaber entstanden, der gerade in Prüfungsvorbereitungen steckt. Und da kann es nicht schaden, zwischendurch mal mit einer Karte "alles wird gut" zu sagen. Auf meiner Karte verbreiten auch die Pflanzen solche Botschaften.

Today's card I made for a plant lover, that's preparing hard for some exams. And in that case it never hurts to let this person know that everything will be fine. On my card also the plants are sending supporting messages. 

 

Hier kamen hauptsächlich die Stempelsets Build a Potted Plant und Plant Picks, beide von MamaElephant, zum Einsatz. Ich war so verliebt in die Botschaften auf den Pflanzensteckern, dass ich einfach nicht widerstehen konnte. Es gibt noch viel mehr solcher Botschaften und ich musste mich wirklich beherrschen, nicht alle auf die Karte packen zu wollen. Da aber alle meine Töchter Pflanzen lieben habe ich bestimmt noch viele Möglichkeiten, die anderen Texte zu benutzen.

Der Hintergrund hier besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks. Ich habe entlang der unteren Kante den Holzfußboden aus dem Set On Solid Ground von MFT aufgestempelt und dafür braune Tinte benutzt. Dann habe ich ihn mit Copics und Polychromos coloriert. 

Die Wand dahinter ist mit dem Small Brick Wall Stencil von MFT gemacht. Ich habe die Mauer etwas fleckig mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone und Hickory Smoke gewischt und dann grau-braune Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

Here I mainly used the stamp sets Build a Potted Plant and Plant Picks, both by MamaElephant. I fell in love with all the different texts on the picks that I just had  to buy it. There are a lot more of these messages and I had to keep myself from putting all of them onto this card. Luckily all of my daughters love plants and so I will have several more uses for this set - and the other texts. 

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock. I stamped the wooden floor from On Solid Ground by MFT with brown ink onto the bottom, then colored it with Copics and Polychromos. 

The wall behind it is made with the Small Brick Wall stencil by MFT. I inked the wall with Distress Ink Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke, keeping it splotchy on purpose. Then I added splatters with grey-ish brown metallic watercolor. 

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich Regal aufgehängt, das mit Pflanzen und Büchern gefüllt ist. Das Regal habe ich aus silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt und dann das Regalbrett nochmal aus grauem Woodgrain Cardstock von LawnFawn. Dabei habe ich eine Stanze aus dem Laboratory Set von Tim Holtz benutzt.

Die Pflanzen auf dem Regal sind aus verschiedenen Stempelsets verschiedener Hersteller: die beiden höheren aus dem Set Sittin' Pretty von MFT, die kleinere dazwischen aus Coffee Shop House Builder AddOn von HoneyBeeStamps, der kleine Kaktus aus Porcupine for You AddOn von LawnFawn. Und die Hängepflanze an der oberen rechten Ecke der Karte ist aus dem Set Hängen von Create a Smile. Die Bücher auf dem Regal sind aus Bookworm von MamaElephhant. Ich habe alle Stempelmotive der Karte mit dem NoLine Kissen von InkOn3 gestempelt und mit Copics und Polychromos coloriert. Nur für die Pflanzenpicks habe ich schwarze Tinte genommen, damit die Texte gut lesbar sind.  

 

In the upper area of the card I've put up a shelf and put plants and books onto it. The shelf I cut from silver metallic cardstock, then cut just the wooden part again from grey Woodgrain cardstock by LawnFawn. The shelf is from the Laboratory die set by Tim Holtz.

The plants on the board are from different stamp sets and different brands: the two larger ones from Sittin' Pretty by MFT, the smaller one inbetween from Coffee Shop House Builder AddOn by HoneyBeeStamps, the small cactus from Porcupine for You by LawnFawn. And the hanging plant, that I placed in the top right corner of the card, is from Hängen by Create a Smile. The books on the shelf are from Bookworm by MamaElephant. I stamped all the images on the card with NoLine ink by InkOn3 and colored them with Copics and Polychromos. Only for the plant picks I used black ink to make sure the messages are legible.

 

Der untere Bereich der  Karte ist fast komplett mit einer großen Pflanze gefüllt. Die kann mit Stempeln aus dem Set Build a Potted Plant selbst zusammensetzen. Links und rechts des Blumentopfs habe ich noch zwei weitere Bücher, wieder aus dem Set Bookworm, aufgeklebt. Schließlich geht es bei der Karte ums Lernen...

Wie Ihr sicher schon bemerkt habt, ist die Karte eher gedeckt gehalten. Ich wollte tatsächlich, dass das Grün der Pflanzen am meisten ins Auge sticht. 

Links neben der Topfpflanze war dann Platz für meinen Text. Beide Texte - denn eigentlich sind es zwei - sind aus dem Set Keine Sorge von Create a Smile. Ich hatte sie zuerst direkt auf die Mauer gestempelt, da sind sie aber untergegangen. Also habe ich sie nochmal weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und die Textstreifen über die aufgestempelten Texte gesetzt. 

 

The lower area of the card is nearly completly filled with one large plant. You can put that together your own way using stamps from Build a Potted Plant. To the left and right of the flower pot I added two more books, again from Bookworm. After all this card is about preparing for an exam...

I'm sure you've noticed that the colors are pretty subtle. I really wanted the green of the plants be the eyecatchter on the card.

On the left side, next to the large plant, there was room for my sentiment. Both - I combined two texts here to write "everything will be fine - you can do this" - are from Keine Sorge by Create a Smile. I first had stamped them directly onto the wall, but they looked lost. So I white heat embossed them again onto black cadrstock and glued the cardstock strips on top of the stamped texts.

 

 Das Regalbrett habe ich direkt auf die  Mauer geklebt. Die große Pflanze samt Bücher ist mit dünnem, die Textstreifen und die Hängepflanze mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich dann noch drei braune Herzen aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I glued the shelf directly onto the wall. The large plant with the books I backed with thin, the text strips and the hanging plant with thick foam tape. Then I added three small brown clay hearts as decoration. 

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Things with Wings die Zweite

Ich weiß nicht, wer von Euch meine Karte für die Things with Wings IG Challenge von SimonSaysStamp gesehen hat. Auf der hatte ich ja in einem absolut durchgeknallten Moment Chicken Wings mit Pommes "serviert". Um nicht den Eindruck zu erwecken, ich würde das alles hier nicht ernst nehmen, habe ich, wie schon angedeutet, noch eine weitere Karte gemacht. Diesmal mit Bienen. Und die zeige ich Euch heute.

I don't know who of you saw my card for the Things with Wings IG Challenge by SimonSaysStamp. On that I had "served" chicken wings with fries. To not make anyone think I don't take all this seriously and as already implied I made a second card for the challenge, this time using bees. And that I am sharing with you today. 

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus weißem Carsdtock, in den ich mittig ein Fenster geschnitten habe. Ich hatte keine passende Stanze, also habe ich den Watercolor Wash Free Form Stencil von MFT mit einem Bleistift auf den Cardstock übertragen, ihn dabei ein wenig verschmälert und dann alles mit der Schere ausgeschnitten.

Hinter dem "Loch" kann man einen Blick in den Bienenstock werfen. Ich habe ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock per Ink Smooshing mit Distress Ink Wild Honey eingefärbt und darüber dann eine weitere Lage hellgelben Cardstocks gelegt. Aus dem habe ich den Save the Bees Hintergrund von ModaScrap ausgestanzt. Die Stanze lässt zwischendrin immer wieder mal ein Sechseck stehen. Auf die habe ich dann Sechsecke aus orange-holographischem Spiegel-Cardstock gesetzt, die ich ebenfalls mit der Stanze ausgestanzt habe.  

 

The background is made from white cardstock, that I cut a window into the center. I didn't have a die the shape I had in mind so I traced the Watercolor Wash Free Form stencil by MFT onto the cardstock, making it a bit narrower, and then cut it out with my scissors. 

Behind the "hole" you get a glimpse of the bee hive. I did some ink smooshing with Distress Ink Wild Honey to color a piece of watercolor cardstock. On top I put a layer of light yellow cardstock, that I cut the Save the Bees die by ModaScrap from. This die does not cut out all the hexagons but leaves a few areas uncut. Onto those I glued some hexagons that I cut from orange-holographic mirror cardstock using the same die.

 

Hauptelement meiner Karte sind natürlich die beiden Bienen. Die sind aus dem Set Sweet Bee von Impronte d'Autore. Ich habe sie mit dem No-Line Ink Kissen von InkOn3 abgestempelt und mit Ohuhu Markern und Polychromos coloriert. 

Der Biene hier am oberen Rand der Karte habe ich noch einen Partyhut aufgesetzt. Den trägt eigentlich die Katze aus dem Party Time Set. Er war der Biene ein wenig zu weit, aber dank des No-Line Colorings konnte ich ihn ganz einfach etwas schmäler machen.

 

Main element on my card are the two bees. They are from Sweet Bee by Impronte d'Autore. I stamped them with the No-Line in pad by InkOn3 and colored them with Ohuhu markers and Polychromos.  

I added a party hat to the bee here at the top of the card. Originally this is worn by the cat from Party Time and was a bit too wide for the bee. But thanks to the no-line coloring it was very easy to make it a bit smaller to fit the bee.

 

 Der Biene unten auf der Karte habe ich einen Luftballon in die Hand gegeben. Die Flügel der Bienen sind ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert. 

Zwischen die beiden Bienen habe ich dann meinen Text gesetzt - auch er ist aus dem Set Sweet Bee. Das Wort "bee" hat eigentlich am Anfang und Ende längere Schnörkel, aber so hätte ich nicht alle Textteile auf der Karte untergebracht. Also habe ich die beim Abstempeln etwas gekürzt. Ich habe alle Texte weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich sie mittig auf die Bienenwaben geklebt.

 

The bee at the bottom of the card is holding a balloon. I applied a bit of Stickles to the bees' wings.

Between the two bees I placed my sentiment - it's again from Sweet Bee. The word "bee" has some longer flourishs at the beginning and end, but like this I wouldn't have been able to fit all the text elements on the card. So I made those flourishs shorter when stamping the word. I white heat embossed all the text elements onto black cardstock and cut them out. Then I adhered them onto the bees wax.

 

 Beim Zusammenkleben habe ich jeweils dünnes 3D Tape hinter die Waben, den weißen Cardstock mit Loch und auch die Bienen gesetzt.

Als Deko habe ich dann einige weiße Blümchen und Blätter um das Loch herum verteilt. Die Blumen sind mit der Blumen Stanze von Create a Smile, die Blätter mit einer Stanze von CC Designs gemacht. Als Blumenmitten habe ich kleine goldene Perlen verwendet und einige davon auch drumherum verteilt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the card together I backed the hexagon layer, the white cardstock with the hole and the bees with thin faom tape.

As decoration I added some white flowers and leaves around the hole. The flowers are made using the Blumen die by Create a Smile, the leaves with a die by CC Designs. I used small  gold pearls as flower centers and scattered a few more around the hole. I also drew a frame with a black finerliner onto the white cardstock.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Geburtstags-Chaos oder so....

Auf der Geburtstagskarte, die ich Euch heute zeige, ist wahnsinnig viel los. Und das, obwohl ich (außer dem Text) nur zwei Stanzensets dafür benutzt habe. Aber irgendwie wollte ich alles auf einmal einbauen und so sieht die Karte nun ein wenig so aus, als hätte jemand gerade die Torte fertiggestellt und alles für die Partydeko bereit gelegt, als das Telefon klingelte... Ich mag sie trotzdem, irgendwie.

There's a lot going on on the birthday card, that I'm sharing with you today. Besides the text I only used two die sets for it, but - as AmyR always puts it - I wanted to use "everything but the kitchen sink". Now the card looks like someone just finished the cake and brought everything for the party decorations out when the telephone rang... I still like it, somehow.

 

Als wie wenn nicht schon genug los wäre auf der Karte, habe ich für den Hintergrund ganz klein kariertes Designpapier in weiß und hellorange benutzt. Das erinnerte mich irgendwie an eine Tischdecke. 

 

As if there wasn't enough going on already on this card I used some checked patterned paper in white and light orange for the background. It reminds me of a table cloth. 

 

 Im Mittelpunkt der Karte steht die Geburtstagstorte. Die ist aus dem Set Table AddOn Cake von WaffleFlower.

Ich habe den Teller aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock, den Kuchen aus hellbraunem und die Sahnetupfen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Der Kuchen besteht aus drei, die Sahne aus zwei Lagen. Ich habe den Kuchen mit etwas Distress Ink gewischt und ihm mit einem farblich fast identischen Fineliner etwas Struktur gegeben. Die Sahnetupfen habe ich mit Ohuhu-Markern etwas schattiert. 

In die Mitte des Kuchens habe ich ein "make a wish" aus dem Postage Collage Piped Letters von WaffleFlower aufembosst. Außerdem habe ich die Torte mit ein paar Erdbeeren, ebenfalls aus dem Table AddOn Cake Set, dekoriert. Die habe ich aus hellrotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Abandoned Coral gewischt. 

Unter dem Kuchen befinden sich zwei Ofenhandschuhe. Die sind mit dem Just Mitts Set, ebenfalls von WaffleFlower gemacht. Ich habe sie aus hellrotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Abandoned Coral und Barn Door gewischt. Dann habe ich das weiße Herz aufgeklebt und die Handschuhe nochmal mit der Stanze durch die Big Shot gedreht, so dass auch die Herzen ein Nahtmuster haben. 

 

In the center of the card there's the birthday cake. I made that using the Table AddOn Cake set by WaffleFlower.

I die cut the plate from matte silver metallic carsdtock, the cake from light brown and the cream puffs from white cardstock. The cake is built from three, the cream from two layers. 

I inked the cake with some Distress Inks and used a nearly identical colored fineliner to add some texture to it. The cream I shaded lightly with Ohuhu markers.

Onto the center of the cake I white heat embossed a "make a whish" from Postage Collage Piped Letters by WaffleFlower. I also decorated the cake with some strawberries, again from Table AddOn Cake. I cut those from light red cardstock and shaded them with Distress Ink Abandoned Coral.

Under the cake I put two oven mitts. These are made with the Just Mitts set by WaffleFlower. I die cut them from light red cardstock again and shaded them with Abandoned Coral and Barn Door. I glued the white hearts onto them and then put the mitts back into the die and ran them through the Big Shot again to have the stitched details on the hearts, too.

 

Oben links über dem Kuchen habe ich dann meinen Text aufgeklebt. Das Sweet ist mit dem Piped Sentiments Sweet von TheGreetery gemacht. Ich habe zwei weiße Lagen aufeinander geklebt und dann etwas versetzt eine weitere Lage, gestanzt aus rotem Spiegelcardstock, dahintergesetzt. 

Da mir das Wort etwas zu hoch war, habe ich die unteren Schnörkel mit der Schere weggeschnitten. 

Ergänzt habe ich den Text dann mit einem "birthday wishes" aus dem Bitty Birthday Wishes Set von MFT. Das habe ich weiß auf hellroten Cardstock embosst und den Cardstock dann von unten her wieder ein wenig mit Abandoned Coral schattiert.

 

To the top left of the cake I added the sentiment. I made the Sweet using the Piped Sentiments Sweet by TheGreetery. I stacked two layers of white cardstock and then put another layer, cut from red mirror cardstock, behind it a bit offset. 

The word was a bit too tall for my card so I used my scissors to cut off the flourishes at the bottom.

I finished the sentiment with a "birthday wishes" from Bitty Birthday Wishes by MFT. I white heat embossed it onto light red cardstock and then shaded it lightly with Abandoned Coral again.

 

 Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich dann weitere Erdbeeren, Luftschlangen, Geburtstagskerzen und ein Luftballon-Tier aufgeklebt. Alle diese Elemente sind wieder aus dem Table AddOn Cake Set.

Die Luftschlangen habe ich aus rotem Spiegel-Cardstock und normalem schwarzen Cardstock gestanzt. Die roten Teile habe ich dann mit der Schere so zugeschnitten, dass sie nach dem Aufkleben auf die schwarzen wie die Vorderseite der Luftschlangen aussehen - den roten Spiegelcarsdstock konnte ich ja leider nicht mit Markern schattiern. Die Details auf den diversen Stanzteilen sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. 

Auch im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich einige Luftschlangen aufgeklebt.

Und hier unten befindet sich dann auch noch ein Spritzbeutel. Der ist aus dem Baked with Love Set von LawnFawn und in NoLine Technik coloriert. Der musste mit auf die Karte. Eigentlich ist im Postage Collage Piped Letters  Set ein Spritzbeutel enthalten, der war mir aber ein wenig zu klein für meine Karte. 

 

In the lower half of the card I added some more strawberries, streamers, birthday candles and a balloon animal. All these elements come again in the Table AddOn Cake set. 

I die cut the streamers from red mirror cardstock and normal black cardstock. I then cut the red ones into pieces, after glueing those to the black streamers it looks like red it the outside color. I had to do it this way because I couldn't shade the mirror cardstock. For the details on some of the die cuts I used a white gel pen.

I added some streamers to the top area of the card, too.

And down here there's also a piping bag. It's from Baked with Love by LawnFawn and colored in NoLine technique. I really wanted to have one on my card. There is one included in the Postage Collage Piped Letters set but it was a bit too small for my scene.

 

 Um zumindest rund um den Kuchen den Hintergrund etwas abzuschwächen, habe ich eines der Stitched Scallops von TheGreetery aus Vellum gestanzt. Darauf habe ich die Deko mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt und das dann auch verwendet, um das Vellum auf dem Hintergrund zu befestigen. 

Zu mSchluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

To tone the background down around the cake I die cut one of the Stitched Scallops by TheGreetery from vellum. I used thin foam tape to adhere the die cuts to it and then glued it with more thin foam tape onto the background.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Technique Throwback Thursday im April 2026

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte zur Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge. Das Video diesen Monat ist über die Peek-a-Boo Karte. Wer schon länger stempelt, kennt die auf jeden Fall, denn vor einigen Jahren waren die mal sehr in. Und von etwa dieser Zeit ist auch das Video, das das Thema diesen Monat zeigt. Und wie es der Zufall will, hatten wir dazu auch auf dem Stempeleinmaleins eine Anleitung. Die musste ich zwar etwas suchen - mit den deutschen Namen der Karten bin ich noch  nie zurecht gekommen - aber ich habe sie gefunden und hatte so auch gleich die Anleitung in Zentimetern zur Hand.

Today I am sharing with you my card for the Technique Throwback Thursday challenge. This month's video is about the peek-a-boo card. If you've been stamping for any length of time you for sure remember these, a few years back they have been all over the stamping world. And that's also when the video, that shows this month's theme,  was released. Luckily we from Stempeleinmaleins also had a tutorial back then - I had to search for it because I never was good in remembering the german names of special cards- but I found it and that meant, I had the metric measurements at hand.

 

Auf der Vorderseite meiner Karte sieht man - einen Teil - des großen Blumenmotivs aus dem Set Sunflower Garden von SimonSaysStamp. Ich habe ihn mit schwarzer Tinte auf das Vorderteil der Karte gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Da ich hier anderen Cardstock benutzt habe, als ich es üblicherweise beim Colorieren tue (der war einfach nicht stabil genug für eine komplette Karte) war es eine ganz schöne Herausforderung, das Motiv zu colorieren. Die Farben schauen ja auf jedem Papier etwas anders aus, und was beim einen zusammenpasst, muss das nicht auch bei einem anderen Papier tun. Aber letztendlich habe ich es doch geschafft.

Ich habe auf die fertig colorierte Front hellrosa Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt und außerdem einen dünnen Rahmen mit einem schwarzen Fineliner aufgemalt. 

 

On the front I used - part of - the large flower image from Sunflower Garden by SimonSaysStamp. I stamped it with black ink onto the card front and colored it with Copics. Since I used a different cardstock than I usually do for my coloring - that one was too flimsy to make a full card from it - it was kind of a challenge to get the coloring done. The colors look different on each cardstock and a combo that works on one might not on another one. But I managed to get it done.

I added splatters of light pink metallic watercolor over the colored card front and also drew a thin frame with a black finelienr.

 

Der Text hier auf der Kartenfront ist mit dem hello aus dem Set Delicate Garden von AlteNew und einem Thinking of you aus Greetings and Salutations von MFT zusammengesetzt. Ich habe beide weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch drei kleine rosafarbene Herzen aufgeklebt. 

 

The text on the card front is made with the hello from Delicate Garden von Altenew and a thinking of you from Greetings and Salutations by MFT. I white heat embossed both onto black cardstock, cut them out and glued them down.

As decoration I added three small pink clay hearts.

 

Wer die Peek-a-Boo Karte kennt, der weiß, dass sich hier ein Fenster auf der Karte befindet, dessen Inhalt sich nach dem Öffnen der Karte ändert. Ich habe mein Fenster in der Blumenmitte der Blume oben rechts "versteckt". Fällt so erstmal kaum auf. Wenn man die Karte dann öffnet, sieht sie so aus:

 

If you know peek-a-boo cards you also know, that there's a window on the card front, the changes when you open the card. I've created mine in the center of the flower on the top right. It's kind of hidden at first, but when you open the card, it looks like that: 

 

 Auch hier habe ich das große Blumenmotiv aufgestempelt, dannn aber nur die Blume mit dem Fenster coloriert. Auf der linken Seite könnt Ihr übrigens das Fenster, das in die Vorderseite der Karte geschnitten ist, sehen.

Auch hier habe ich hellrosa Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

Again I used the large flower image but only colored the flower with the window. On the left side you can see the window that I cut into the card front.

Again I splattered pink metallic watercolor over the cardstock.

 

 Und in der Blumenmitte, die auch hier ein Fenster ist, erscheint wie von Zauberhand ein kleiner Marienkäfer als Glücksbringer. Und ja, wenn man es genau betrachtet, bräuchte man die ganze Technik gar nicht und hätte innen einfach eine weitere Blume mit Käfer aufstempeln können. Aber der Effekt, wenn das Motiv wie durch Magie ins Fenster gleitet, ist einfach toll. Das war das kleine bisschen mehr Arbeit wert.

 Übrigens kann man die Karte innen natürlich auch komplett anders gestalten als auf der Vorderseite, so wird der Überraschungseffekt noch größer. Aber mir gefällt es so sehr gut. 

 

And in the flower center, that's again a window here, a little ladybug as a lucky charm just magically appears. And yes, if you think about it, of course I could have skipped all the technique and just stamp another flower, this time with the ladybug, onto the inside of the card. But the effect, when the image magically slides into the window, is just great and worth the just a bit more work.

By the way, of course you can create the outside and inside of the card completly different and make the surprise even bigger. But I liked the more subtle effect.  

 

Hier im Inneren habe ich ein wishing you lots of luck aus dem Set Lots of Luck, ebenfalls von SimonSaysStamp, als Haupttext verwendet. Aus dem selben Set ist übrigens auch der kleine Marienkäfer. 

Und dann konnte ich mich nicht entscheiden, welchen Zusatztext ich dazu kombinieren wollte. Zum Glück ist im Inneren der Karte jede Menge Platz, deswegen habe ich einfach zwei aufgeklebt. Die sind wieder aus dem Set Greetings and Salutations von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Und auch im Inneren der Karte habe ich drei kleine rosafarbene Herzen aufgeklebt.

 

Here on the inside I used a wishing you lots of luck from the set Lots of Luck by SimonSaysStamp as the main text. From the same set is also the little ladybug.

And then I just couldn't decide which subtext I wanted to use. Luckily there's lots of room on the inside of the card and I simply added two. They are again from Greetings and Salutations by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. And also on the inside of the card I added three small pink clay hearts as decoration.

 

Achtung, es wird bunt!

Der Post-Titel warnt ja schon: für mein letztes Gast-DT Projekt für TheStampStop wird es bunt! Sehr bunt und eigentlich nicht unbehindt typisch ich. Aber hier ist es angebracht, denn die Karte ist 1. für einen Pre-Teenager und zweitens schreien die Labubus, die ich verwendet habe, doch geradezu nach Farbe.

The title of this post already warned everyone: for my last guest DT project for TheStampStop it's getting colorful. Very colorful, which is not my typical style of cardmaking. But here there are two reasons for it: This is a card for a pre-teenage girl and those Labubus, that I used on this card, are asking for colors.

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich einfach ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock mit weißen Punkten  benutzt. Nur schwarz war mir zu fad, ob die Punkte dann im Endeffekt die richtige Wahl waren, weiß ich nicht so genau. Sie machen die Karte noch unruhiger, als sie durch die Farben schon ist. Aber sie sehen ein wenig aus wie Konfetti, also passt es für eine Geburtstagskarte.

 

For the background I used a piece of black cardstock with white dots. Just plain black seemed too boring, I am not sure if those dots were the right choice. They make the card even more busy, and due to all those colors it already is pretty busy, even without the dots. But at least they remind me of confetti, so they are perfect for a birthday card.

 

 Labubus hängen ja meistens an Taschen, da hatte ich aber nichts passendes, kartenfüllendes hier. Also habe ich einfach eine Geschenktüten-Stanze genommen und nur die Taschenfront aus regenbogen-farbig gestreiftem Designpapier gestanzt. Den Griff habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht. 

Um die Tüte noch mehr wie eine Geschenkverpackung aussehen zu lassen, habe ich dann einen Streifen Seidenpapier in Falten gelegt und oben hinter die Tasche geklebt. Da hatte ich nur giftgrünes da, aber ich denke, farblich passt es trotzdem irgendwie und wirkt schön fröhlich. 

 

Most people have those Labubus dangling from their handbags but I didn't have the right bag die or stamp, that fills a whole card front. So I used a giftbag die instead and cut just the front from some patterned paper with rainbow colored stripes. The handle I cut from white cardstock.

To make this bag look more like a giftbag I used a strip of tissue paper, pleaded it and glued it behind the top of the bag. I only had some bright green one but I think, the color still works and looks very happy.

 

 Auf meiner Karte habe ich dann gleich zwei Labubus untergebracht - beide sind aus dem La Busy Stempelset von TheSassyClub. Ich finde die wirklich sehr authentisch gezeichnet. 

Den stehenden Labubu habe ich mit Copics in einem hellen Grün  coloriert. Da er schön flauschig aussehen sollte, habe ich das Motiv mit vielen kleinen Punkten coloriert. 

Auf Augen, Nase und den farbigen Zahn habe ich Glossy Accents aufgetragen. 

Den Hänger habe ich extra gestempelt und später angeklebt. Das "Monster" darauf ist aus dem Monster Mash Stempelset von LawnFawn, denn da gibt es kein passendes im La Busy Set. Zum Abstempeln habe ich Versafine Clair Grass Green benutzt.

Durch den Ring am Hänger habe ich dann  den Griff der Tasche gesteckt.

 

I decided to put two Labubus onto my card - both are from La Busy by TheSassyClub. I really think they are drawn very authentically.

 I used Copics to color the standing Labubu a light green. To make him appear soft and fluffy I colored the whole image with lots of little dots.

I applied Glossy Accents to the eyes, the nose and the one colored tooth. 

The hanger I stamped seperately and glued it behind the Labubu later. The word "monster" on it is from Monster Mash by LawnFawn - there isn't one that fits onto the hanger included in the La Busy set. I used Versafine Clair Grass Green to stamp the word.

I put the handle of the bag through the ring at the top of the hanger.

 

 Den zweiten, sitzenden Labubu habe ich auf die selbe Weise wie den anderen in Blau coloriert. Ausgeschnitten habe ich beide Motive mit der Hand.

Auch die Texte auf meiner Karte sind aus dem La Busy Set. Ich habe sie jeweils weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und dabei die Anordnung des zweiten Textes auf einzeilig geändert, das "instead" am Ende des Textes habe ich weggeschnitten. Nach dem Ausschneiden habe ich beide Texte weiß gemattet.

 

I colored the second, sitting Labubu blue and the same way I did the other one. I cut out both images with my scissors.

The texts on my card are also from La Busy. I white heat embossed both onto black cardstock, changing the arrangement of the one on the bottom to just one line and cutting off the "instead" behind the word card. After cutting the texts out I matted them white.

 

 Ich habe 3D Tape hinter die Labubus und auch hinter die Geschenktasche gesetzt, um der Karte etwas Tiefe zu geben.

Als Deko habe ich Sterne aus holographischem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und auf der Karte verteilt. Außerdem habe ich ein paar dunkelblaue Perlen aufgeklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put foam tape behind the Labubus and the gift bag to give this card some dimension.

I cut some stars from silver holographic cardstock and glued them onto the card. I also added some dark blue pearls.

Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Monstermäßige Geburtstagskarte

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich Euch ja eine Karte mit Sektflasche gezeigt, bei der ich mich von einer der Stanzen aus dem Just Add Cake Birthday Kit von Spellbinders  habe inspirieren lassen. Und in dem Post hatte ich noch groß getönt, dass ich das Kit nicht kaufen möchte. Nun, getreu nach dem Motto "was interessiert mich mein Geschwätz von gestern" habe ich es doch getan. Schuld ist dieses Monster, das ich einfach genial finde und das ich mit anderen Stanzen nicht nachbilden konnte. Und so gibt es heute eine monstermäßige Geburtstagskarte.

 

Hello everyone!

A little ago I shared a card with you with a bottle of champagne and the inspiration for this card came from one of the die sets from the Just Add Cake Birthday Kit by Spellbinders. And in that post I said that I won't buy the kit. Well, what do I care about what I said yesterday.... And yes, I bought it anyways. I blame this little monster, that I just fell in love with and that I wasn't able to kind of re-create with other dies. So today I am sharing with you this "monstrous" birthday card.

 

 Na und wenn ich das Kit schon habe, dann kann ich hier auch noch weitere Produkte daraus für meine Karte benutzen, oder?
Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück dunkel-rosaroten Cardstock mit dem Embossingfolder aus dem Kit embosst. Die Ränder habe ich dann mit dunkelroter Tinte und Distress Ink Black Soot gewischt und anschließend ein goldenes Stempelkissen über die erhabenen Stellen gezogen, damit die Konfetti und Luftschlangen besser zu sehen sind.

 

Well, since I have the kit, why not use more products from it for this card, right?

For the background I used the embossing folder from the kit to dry emboss a piece of dark pink cardstock. I inked the edges with dark red in and Distress Ink Black Soot and then dragged a gold pigment ink pad over the raised areas to bring out the confetti and streamers more.

 

 Das Monster habe ich aus verschiedenen Rosatönen gestanzt und alles mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert. Im Set sind ein Muffin und ein Stück Pizza enthalten, die das Monster halten kann. Bei mir musste es einfach Pizza sein. Auch diese Teile sind mit Markern schattiert.

Den Partyhut habe ich aus dunkelrotem Cardstock sowie goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt und nach dem Zusammenkleben oben einen pinkfarbenen Pompom aufgeklebt. Die Brille habe ich aus dunkelrotem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und mit zwei Lagen aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann das Polaroid aus dem Say Cheese Set von LawnFawn gestanzt und per Partial Diecutting verlängert. Ich wollte das Monster, das keinen kompletten Körper hat, nicht so abgeschnitten auf die Karte kleben. Also schaut es nun aus dem Rahmen heraus. 

Das Monster ist super süß, ja. Aber ich wollte von Anfang an eine interaktive Karte damit machen. Und die sieht dann so aus: 

 

I die cut the monster pieces from different shades of pink cardstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers. There's both, a muffin and a slice of pizza for the monster to hold included in the die set. I really wanted to use the pizza. Again I shaded the pieces with markers.

The party hat I cut from dark red cardstock and gold mirror cardstock and, after putting it together, I glued a pink pompom onto the top. The glasses I cut from dark red mirror cardstock and backed them with two layers cut from black cardstock. 

From white cardstock I die cut the polaroid frame from Say Cheese by LawnFawn and made it taller by doing some partial die cutting. The monster doesn't have a full body and I didn't want to add it "cut up" onto my card. Instead he's now looking out of the frame.

The monster is really cute, yes. But from the very first look I got of him I wanted to make him interactive. And this is what it looks like: 

 

 Das Monster lässt sich die Pizza schmecken - und wie es Monster eben so tun, schaufelt er so richtig rein...

Der  Mechanismus ist gar nicht kompliziert. Ich habe die Arme nur am Pizzastück angeklebt - das Ende des gebogenen Arms habe ich hinter das Monster gesteckt. Unter dem oberen Ende des zweiten Arms habe ich ein Loch in das Monster und den Hintergrund gestanzt. Durch das habe ich einen kleinen Kreis aus aufgedoppeltem 3D Tape gesteckt, auf der oberen Seite den Arm und auf der Unterseite, hinter dem Hintergrund, einen gewellten Kreis aus schwarzem Cardstock angeklebt. Dreht man nun am Kreis, der rechts über den Rand der Karte hinaussteht, bewegen sich die Arme samt Pizza nach oben. Damit er sich die Pizza nicht in die Augen schiebt, habe ich in der niedrigsten und höchsten Position jeweils ein kleines Stück 3D Tape auf der Rückseite des Monsters befestigt, die als Stopper dienen.

The mechanism really isn't complicated. I adhered the arms to the slice of pizzy only and tucked the end of the more curved arm behind the monster's body. Behind the top end of the other arm I punched a hole through the monster body and the background. Through this hole I put a small circle of doubled up foam tape and glued the arm to it. To the other end of the foam tape I glued a scalloped circle, that I cut from black cardstock and that is sticking out at the right edge of the card. When you turn the circle the arms move up and down. To make sure the monster isn't sticking the pizza into his eyes I used  a small piece of foam tape next to the bended arm in it's highest and lowest position. Those work as a stopper. 

 

 Igendwie musste ich jetzt die Pizza und den Polaroid-Rahmen zusammenbringen. Also habe ich ein Cheeese aus dem Set Elphie Selphie von LawnFawn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und oben auf die Karte geklebt. Damit das Wort nicht zu lang wird, habe ich beim Stempeln eines der E wegmaskiert. 

 

I somehow had to bring the pizza and the polaroid frame together. So I white heat embossed the word cheeese from Elphie Selphie by LawnFawn onto black cardstock, cut it out and glued it onto the card. The word was a bit too long so when stamping it I masked off one of the Es.

 

 Der Text, den ich unten auf den Polaroid-Rahmen gesetzt habe, ist aus dem Stempelset, das ebenfalls im Kit enthalten ist. Und der passt hier natürlich wie die Faust aufs Auge. Auch er ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mit den dazugehörigen Outline-Dies, die auch im Kit enthalten sind, ausgestanzt. 

 

The text, that I glued to the bottom of the polaroid, is from the stamp set that comes in the kit. And of course it goes perfectly with the monster. Again I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock and cut it out with the matching dies, that also come in the kit.

 

 Damit der Mechanismus unter dem Monster genug Platz hat, habe ich Monster und Rahmen jeweils mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige goldene Pailetten aufgeklebt und alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

To not risk the mechanism not working properly I used foam tape to glue down the frame and monster. Then I added some gold sequins as decoration and glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Interaktive Koi-Karte

Heute zeige ich Euch eine weitere Karte mit dem neusten Release von ScrappyTails. Diesmal habe ich, neben anderen Produkten, das Koi-Stempelset samt passenden Stencils benutzt.

Today I am sharing with you another card using the latest release by ScrappyTails. This time, besides some other products, I used the Koi stamp set and the matching stencils.

 

Eigentlich war das hier als ganz einfache Karte gedacht. Aber dann kam eins zum anderen und so ist letztendlich eine interaktive Karte entstanden.

Als Aufleger habe ich die Pond Cover Stanze benutzt und sie aus Acetate ausgestanzt. Eigentlich wollte ich hellblaue Folie benutzen, die hat aber die Farben der Motive darunter zu sehr abgedunkelt. Also habe ich durchsichtige Folie verwendet. Sorry, die spiegelt auf den Bildern leider stellenweise ein wenig. 

Die Seerosen und -blätter habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Und weil die Folie doch recht dünn war - ich habe heat resistant verwendet, denn eigentlich sollte der Text aufembosst werden - habe ich die kleinen Stanzteile aufgedoppelt. Da sie überall auf dem See verteilt sind, stabilisieren sie die Folie etwas.

Die eingestanzten Wasserlinien habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift nachgemalt. 

Darunter befindet sich eine Lage hellblauen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner das Wassermuster aufgewischt habe. Dafür habe ich die  Water Bubbles Stencils verwendet. Ich habe eine der Lagen - Lage 4 - ausgelassen und außerdem die Blasen, die mit dem Stencil 5 im Set aufgewischt werden können, nicht benutzt. So wäre mir der Hintergrund zu unruhig geworden. Nach dem Aufwischen der einzelnen Farben habe ich alles mit etwas Salvaged Patina etwas verblendet und Wassertropfen auf der Tinte verteilt. 

 

 I had planned to do a pretty simple card. But then I had an idea, that led to another one and I ended up with an interactive card.

For the top I used the Pond Cover die and cut it from acetate. Originally I wanted to use blue acetate, but that changed the colors of the images underneath too much. So I used clear one. Sorry, it reflects a bit in the pictures. 

The lily pads and water lilies I die cut from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. And because the foil was pretty thin - I used heat resistant one because I had planned to heat emboss the text onto it - I doubled the plants up. Since they are scattered all over the pond they kind of stabilize the acetate.

I used a white gel pen to trace the ripples that get cut into the water.

In the very back I added a layer of light blue cardstdock, that I added the water pattern to using Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner. I did the water with the Water Bubbles stencil set, skipping layer #4 and the bubbles layer. They would have made the background too busy here. After inking the different stencils I used Salvaged Patina again to blend the colors together a bit and also spritzed some droplets of water onto the cardstock.

 

 Hauptakteur auf der Karte ist der große Koi. Der ist mit eines der Motive aus dem Good Fortune Set, coloriert mit den dazugehörigen Good Fortune Stencils. Die sind auch ohne die Stempel zu benutzen, ich finde aber die Outlines schön dazu. Allerdings wollte ich sie nicht zu intensiv haben und habe daher das Jellyfish Stempelkissen von LawnFawn zum Abstempeln benutzt. 

Die einzelnen Elemente des Fischs habe ich mit Distress Ink Antique Linen, Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire und Black Soot gewischt und dann mit einem weißen Gelstift Glitzerpunkte auf den Fischrücken gemalt. Die habe ich dann noch mit Stickles beglittert. 

Anschließend habe ich den Fisch mit dem dazugehörigen Outline-Stanzenset ausgestanzt. Und damit der Fisch durch den weißen Rand nicht zu sehr wie ein Fehlkörper wirkt, habe ich ihn mit türkisfarbenen Copics kaschiert.

Eigentlich wollte ich den Fisch nur unter der Wasseroberfläche ankleben. Aber dann kam mir die Idee, dass es doch toll wäre, wenn der Fisch tatsächlich schwimmen würde - langsam und würdevoll, wie es Kois nun mal tun. Deswegen habe ich einen Slider mit eingebaut. Und das sieht dann so aus:

 

Main element on my card is the large Koi. It's one of the images from the Good Fortune stamp set, colored with the matching Good Fortune stencils. Those can be used without the stamps, too, but I liked the outlines. I didn't want to have those too prominent and so I used the Jellyfish ink pad by LawnFawn to stamp the image.

I used Distress Ink Antique Linen, Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire and Black Soot to color the different elements of the fish. Then I added some reflections to his back and covered these with just a bit of Stickles. 

Then I cut the image out with the matching outline dies. To make sure the white edge around the fish doesn't make him look like doesn't belong there I used some aqua Copics to camouflage it.

Originally I had planned to adhere the fish on top of the inked water, under the pond layer But then I thought that it might be nice to actually have the fish swimming around - slowly and majestically like Kois do. And so I turned him into a slider element. This is what the fish looks like swimming: 

 

Ich habe mit einer Slider-Tunnel Stanze, ich glaube von MFT, einen breiteren, gebogenen Schlitz in den Wasserhintergrund gestanzt und dort ein Stück 3D-Tape  hineingesteckt. Oben auf dem 3D Tape ist der Fisch angeklebt, an der Unterseite habe ich einen Cardstock-Kreis angeklebt. Bewegt wird der Fisch mit einem Streifen Acetate, den ich unter dem Kreis angebracht und rechts über den Kartenrand hinausragen habe lassen. 

 

I used a slider tunnel die, I think it's by MFT, to cut a wider, rounded slit into the water background, then put a piece of foam tape through it. On top of the 3D tape I adhered the fish, to the back I glued a cardstock circle. To move the fish I glued a strip of acetate to the back of the circle, the end goes over the edge of the card so it can be grabbed.

 

Damit sich der große Fisch nicht einsam fühlt, habe ich ihm noch einige Freunde mit auf die Karte geklebt. Die sind mit dem Mini Koi Fish Stanzenset gemacht. Nun sind die Fische in dem Set zwar nicht wirklich mini, aber doch um einiges kleiner als der große Koi auf meiner Karte. Deswegen habe ich sie ausgestanzt, mit Copics coloriert und dann mit einer Lage hellen türkis übermalt. So wirken sie so, als würden sie tiefer im Wasser schwimmen, wodurch das Größenverhältnis stimmt. Auch hier habe ich ein wenig Stickles auf den Fischrücken aufgetragen. 

Mittig auf die Teichlage aus Folie habe ich dann meinen Text angebracht - der passt super genau in die Mitte der kleinen Wellen. Wie schon erwähnt, wollte ich ihn eigentlich aufembossen. Das hatte ich auch probiert, auf Acetate läuft aber das Embossingpulver ein wenig und der Text war nicht lesbar, weil er doch eher klein ist. Zum Glück konnte ich das Embosste vorsichtig wieder abkratzen - der Hintergrund war zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits komplett fertig. Dann habe ich den Text, der übrigens auch aus dem Good Fortune Stempelset ist, mit weißem StazOn aufgestempelt. 

 

To make sure the fish doesn't feel lonely I added a few friends to the card. I made those using the Mini Koi Fish die set. Well, the fish in this set are not really "mini", but a lot smaller than the large Koi on my card. So I cut them out, colored them with Copics and then covered them completly with a layer of light aqua color. Now they look like they are swimming deeper down in the water and their size work with the largeone. Again I added some Stickles to the fish's back.

Onto the center of the pond layer, the one made from acetate, I added my text - it fits perfectly into the center of those ripples. As I mentioned earlier I had planned to white heat embossed the text onto the acteate. I actually did that, but somehow the embossing powder seems to run a bit on acetate and the text wasn't legible since it's quite fine/small. Luckily I was able to carefully scrape off the embossed text - of course I did the text as the last step and the rest of the background was already completly done. Then I used white StazOn to stamp the text onto the acetate. The text comes again in the Good Fortune stamp set.  

 

 Um dem Fisch genug Bewegungsfreiheit zu geben - seine Flossen tendieren dazu, sich in den eingestanzten Wellen einzuhaken - und für den Slider Mechanismus habe ich die Karte mit 3D Tape zusammengesetzt. Ich habe zwei Lagen zwischen Acetate und Wasserhintergrund sowie eine Lage hinter dem hellblauen Cardstock angebracht. Den ausgestanzten Streifen im Slider-Tunnel habe ich an der passenden Stelle auf den Kartenrohling, auf den ich alles geklebt habe, angebracht. Beim Festkleben des dekorierten Cardstocks habe ich entlang der rechten Kante der Karte das Schutzpapier vom 3D Tape nicht abgezogen, damit der Folienstreifen, mit dem der Fisch schwimmt, beweglich bleibt.

Und weil man durch das Acetate natürlich das 3D Tape hindurchgesehen hat, habe ich aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock noch einen Rahmen geschnitten und aufgeklebt. Der Pond Cover ist tatsächlich 5 x 7 Inch groß - so eine große Rahmenstanze hatte ich nicht. Also habe ich den Rahmen einfach mit meinem Papierschneider gemacht. 

 

To give the fish enough room - his fins tend to get stuck in the ripples cut into the water - and for the slider mechanism I used foam tape to  put the card together. I put two layers between the acetate and the water background and once layer behind the blue cardstock. I glued the piece I cut out of the background for the slider in the right place onto a white note card, that I glued the card panel onto. When glueing the panel to the card base I did leave on the backing paper on the foam tape along the right edge of the card to make sure, the acetate strip, that is used to make the fish swim, can still be moved. 

And since you would be able to see the foam tape through the acetate I cut a frame from aqua cardstock and glued it on. The Pond Cover is 5 x 7 - I don't have a frame die that large. So I simply used my paper cutter to cut it.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Achtung, eine Warnung vorweg: bei dieser Karte ist meine alberne Seite mit mir durchgegangen... Und ich hoffe sehr, niemand nimmt mir das krumm. Aber ich bin die Idee nicht mehr losgeworden. 

Diese Karte ist für die IG Challenge von SimonSaysStamp entstanden. Das Thema lautet "things with wings". Nun habe ich im ersten Moment natürlich, wie wohl alle, an Schmetterlinge gedacht. Bienen, Libellen, Flugzeuge, Vögel. Bei Vögel kamen mir dann Hühner in den Sinn und irgendwie hat mein - manchmal etwas krankes - Hirn die Hühner, also chicken, mit dem "wings" aus der Aufgabe kombiniert und ich hatte Chicken Wings im Kopf. Tja, und so sind die "Dinge", die hier mit den Wings in Verbindung stehen, eben Pommes und BBQ Sauce... 

Im Nachhinein finde ich die Idee selbst so doof, dass ich wirklich versucht bin, noch eine "richtige" Karte für die Challenge zu machen. 

 

Hello everyone!

A warning beforehand: when I made this card my silly side took over.... And I really hope no one is offended by how I approached the challenge. But I wasn't able to forget this idea.

I made this card for the IG challenge by SimonSaysStamp. The theme is "things with wings". Of course - like probably most - I first tought of butterflies, bees, dragnflies, airplanes, birds. When I thought of birds I came up with chickens. And somehow my silly brain must have connected "chicken" with the word "wings" from the theme and all I was able to think of was "chickenwings". Well, and so the "things", that come with my wings, are fries and BBQ sauce...

In hindsight I think myself, that this is a totally dumb idea and I am really tempted to make another card where I use the theme as it was intended. 

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus einem Stück grün-weiß karierten Designpapiers von LawnFawn. Das sah so schön nach Tischdecke aus. 

 

The background is made from a piece of white and green checkered patterned paper by LawnFawn. It reminded me of a table cloth. 

 

 Die Pommes auf meiner Karte sind aus dem So Fry-Tastic Set von Kristina Werner/Concord and 9th. Bei den Wings musste ich dann schon etwas kreativ werden, denn da habe ich natürlich keine passende Stanze - und ich glaube auch nicht, dass es da was gibt. Also habe ich meine Stanzen nach passenden Formen gesucht und bin bei Magnolia fündig geworden: Die gebogenen Wings sind eigentlich eine Chili-Schote, die eher nach Nuggets aussehenden Hähnchenteile sind mit Rübenstanzen gemacht. Das Grün habe ich jeweils weggelassen. 

Ich habe die Teile aus gelbem bzw. hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern und Polychromos coloriert. Die Chicken Wings sollten so aussehen, als wären sie dick mit karamellisierter Sauce überzogen. 

Nach dem Colorieren habe ich auf die Pommes etwas Distress Ink Vinage Photo, auf die Wings Aged Mahogany ganz fein aufgespritzt. Außerdem habe ich die Sauce auf den Wings mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

Der Teller ist einfach mit Kreisstanzen gemacht und besteht aus einem Kreis mit oben aufgeklebtem, größerem Ring. Die Teile habe ich ein wenig grau schattiert und auf den Tellerrand kleine grüne Blümchen von LawnFawn aufgestempelt. Zwischen die Chicken Wings habe ich dann noch etwas Sauce aufgemalt, der weiße Teller darunter sah komisch aus.

Ganz zum Schluss fehlte mir unten links etwas auf der Karte. Und auch wenn man Chicken Wings und Pommes eher mit den Fingern isst, habe ich Besteck aufgeklebt. Das ist mit richtig alten Stanzen von Whiff of Joy aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock gemacht. 

 

The fries on my card are from So Fry-Tastic by Kristina Werner/Concord and 9th. For the wings I had to think outside the box. Of course I don't have dies for those and I don't think, that there excist some. So I went through my dies looking for something with the right shape and was able to find something by Magnolia: The bended wings are made with a chili die, the ones that look more like nuggets are made with a beet root die. I just left out the green parts on all the elements.

I cut the pieces from yellow and light brown cardstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers and Polychromos. I wanted the chicken wings to look like they are covered in some yummy, caramelized sauce. 

After coloring the pieces I  added very fine splatters - Distress Ink Vintage Photo to the fries, Aged Mahogany to the wings. I also put some Glossy Accents onto the sauce on the wings.

The plate is simply made with circle dies. I used a circle and put a larger ring, made from more circle dies, on top. I shaded the pieces a soft grey and stamped small green flowers by LawnFawn onto the edge of the plate. Between the chicken wings I also added some more sauce - the white of the plate looked strange between the wings.

When I had nearly fnished the card I felt like there was something missing at the bottom right. I know that wings and fries are most likely eaten with your fingers, but I still added some cutlery. I made these from silver mirror cardstock using some very old dies by Whiff of Joy. 

 

 Oben rechts auf der Karte habe ich ein kleines Schüsselchen mit BBQ Sauce aufgeklebt. Die Schüssel ist wieder mit Kreisstanzen gemacht, den Rand habe ich hier grün coloriert. Die Sauce darin ist wieder von Magnolia - ich glaube, eigentlich ist es Butter, die auf einen Toast gehört. Ich habe sie aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt, schattiert und wieder mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Tja, und dann musste ich natürlich auch beim Text noch ein Wortspiel einbauen.... Ich habe hier ein "hungry" aus einem Yeti-Set von Impronte d'Autore mit einem Fragezeichen versehen. Darunter steht dann "just wing by" - natürlich angelehnt an "just swing by". Die gestempelten kleinen Worte sind aus dem Set Scootin' By by LawnFawn, die Buchstaben für das Wort Wing sind mit dem Henry's ABCs Stanzenset, ebenfalls von LawnFawn, aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht. Die gestempelten Textteile sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

On the top right of the card I added a small bowl with some BBQ sauce. The bowl I made from circle dies again, this time I colored the brim green. The sauce in it is again made with a die by Magnolia - I believe, originally it is meant to be butter, that goes on a toast die cut. I cut it from red cardstock, shaded it and covered it with Glossy Accents. 

Well, and then I also had to add a pun... I added a question mark behind the word "hungry" from a set by Impronte d'Autore. Under it I wrote "just wing by" - of course meant to be "just swing by". The small words are from Scootin' By by LawnFawn, the letters for the word "wing" is made using the Henry's ABCs die set, also by LawnFawn. I cut these from black cardstock, the stamped texts are white heat embossed onto black cardstock. 

 

 Den Tellerrand habg ich mit dünnem, die Saucenschüssel und das Wort hungry mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Neben Teller und Schüssel habe ich mit einem grauen Marker einen Schatten auf das Designpapier im Hintergrund gemalt.  

Dann habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt. 

 

I backed the edge of the plate with thin, the sauce bowl and the word hungry with thick foam tape. Then I used a grey marker to draw a shadow next to the bowl and plate, drawing it directly onto the patterned paper in the background.  

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.
