Echte Post - mit Bär

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Seit Anfang des Jahres gibt es bei Create a Smile eine neue Mini-Serie als Goodie zu den Bestellungen. Da ist wieder tauschen der Doppelten angesagt. Und die kleinen Stempel wollen natürlich schön verpackt verreisen. Da kamen die Produkte aus dem März-Release wie gerufen, drehen sie sich doch - teilweise - um das Thema Briefe. Damit ist dann diese Karte entstanden.

 

Hello everyone!

Beginning of the year Create a Smile started a new series of their mini stamps that you get one of with every order. So it's time to swap doubles again. And those small stamps want to travel in a nice card. The products from the march release came right in time - some of them are mail related. I used some to create this card.

 

Der Hintergrund ist mit dem Stempel Viele Briefe gemacht. Ich habe ihn mit grauer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und sie dann mit Ohuhu Markern in Grautönen coloriert. 

Anschließend habe ich schwarze Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

 

The background is made with the Viele Briefe stamp. I stamped it with grey ink onto white cardstock and then used Ohuhu markers to color the letters in greys.

Then I splattered black acrylic paint on top.

 

 Einen Teil des Stempels habe ich dann nochmal mit schwarzer Tinte abgestempelt, ausgeschnitten und in "weiß" und rot coloriert und zudem einen einzelnen Brief aus dem Hintergrund ausgeschnitten. Den hält der kleine Bär aus Leckermäulchen - und er ist der Stempel, den ich als Mini ertauscht habe. Das Äffchen, das ich als doppelten verschickt habe, habe ich leider auf der Karte partout nicht untergebracht. Aber das macht ja nichts. Auch den Bären habe ich mit Ohuhu Markern coloriert.

Aus hellgrauem Cardstock habe ich dann den "halben Schatten" aus dem Für Dich mit dreierlei Schatten Set ausgestanzt. Darauf kam dann das Für Dich, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock. Ich habe den Text aufgedoppelt und den I-Punkt des Dich durch ein rotes Herz ersetzt. 

Den gestanzten Text habe ich dann auf die farbigen Briefe geklebt und den Bären dahinter geschoben.

 

I stamped a part of the stamp again with black ink, cut it out and colored the letters "white" and red. I also cut out an individual letter from the background. This letter is held by the little bear from Leckermäulchen - and this is also the stamp I recieved as the mini. The little monkey that I had two of and that I sent in return just didn't fit into the scene of this card. Again I used Ohuhu markers to color the bear.

From light grey carsdtock I cut the "half shadow" from Für Dich mit dreierlei Schatten. On top I adhered the "für dich" - for you -, cut from white cardstock and doubled up. I replaced the dot on the I with a red clay heart.

I glued the die cut text onto the colored letters and put the bear behind them.

 

 Der obere Teil der Karte war mir noch zu fad. Also habe ich erst einige der Cancellation Marks - Entwertungsstreifen oder so? - mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich das Wort Echte ebenfalls schwarz aufgestempelt. Beide Stempel sind aus dem Set Analog und Oldschool. Unter das Echte habe ich dann ein aus rotem Cardstock gestanztes Post aufgeklebt. Hier bin ich fremdgegangen und habe eine Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen benutzt. 

Und weil zum Thema Post ja auch das Posthorn perfekt passt, habe ich das noch aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock und matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und beides leicht versetzt unter dem Wort Post aufgeklebt. Dass dabei eines der kleinen Herzen auf den Briefen genau in der Mitte gelandet ist, ist Zufall, finde ich aber richtig süß. Das Posthorn ist aus dem Stanzenset Postage Rectangle von Create a Smile.

 

The upper half of the card seemed way too boring to me. So I first stamped some cancellation marks over it using black ink. Again with black ink I stamped a "echte" - real - down, both images are from Analog und Oldschoool. Under the word echte I adhered the word Post, cut from red cardstock. I had to use a die by Charlie und Paulchen for it. 

And because the post horn, that's also kind of the brand mark of the german post, goes great with the mail theme of the card I die cut it from dark grey cardstock and matte silver metallic cardstock, then glued them a bit offset under the word post. That one of the heart seals of the letters ended up right in the center of the horn just happened randomly but I really like it. The post horn was cut using a die from Postage Rectangle  by Create a Smile.

 

 Auf die Siegel und Herzen aller Briefe habe ich Glossy Accents aufgetragen. Den Bären habe ich mit dünnem, die rot-weißen Briefe und den gestanzten Text am unteren Ende der Karte mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Als Deko habe ich noch zwei weitere rote Herzen über dem Bären angebracht.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I covered the seals and hearts on all the letters with Glossy Accents. The bear I adherd  with thin, the red and white letters and the die cut text with thick foam tape. Then I added two more red clay hearts above the bear's head.

As the last step I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge March 2026

Wieder knapp vor Monatsende habe ich meine Karte für die TTT Challenge im März fertig gemacht. Diesmal geht es um durch Die Cutting hervorgehobene Motive oder Motivteile. Jennifer hat in ihrem Video eine recht detaillierte Fensterstanze genommen. Davon habe ich auch einige, wollte die Idee aber nicht nachmachen. Und so recht wollte ich keine andere passende Stanze finden. Dann kam mir ganz spontan die Idee zu dieser Karte.

Again just a few days before the end of the month I made my card for the TTT challenge in march. This time it's about bringing out images or parts of them with the help of diecuutting. In her video Jennifer uses a pretty detailed window die. I have a few similar ones but didn't want to copy the idea. And I wasn't able to find anything else, that would have worked, in my stash. And then I had the idea for this card popping up in my head.  

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich von der unteren rechten Ecke her mit Distress Ink Prize Ribbon und Salty Ocean gewischt habe.

Ich habe rundum einen 1 cm breiten Streifen mit Masking Tape abgeklebt und in die Mitte mit weißer Pigment-Tinte den Best Friends Background von MFT aufgestempelt. Dann habe ich noch goldene Metallic-Watercolor auf alles aufgespritzt. 

 

The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock, that I inked upwards from the bottom right corner  with Distress Ink Prize Ribbon and Salty Ocean.

I masked off a frame of 1 cm width all around the cardstock and then used white pigment ink to stamp the Best Friends Background by MFT onto the center. I also splattered some gold metallic watercolor onto the cardstock. 

 

 Für das Motiv habe ich mich für die Giraffe aus dem Set Lange Freunde von Create a Smile entschieden - das lässt sich super mit einer Filmstreifen-Stanze in Teile teilen, ohne dass das Motiv nicht mehr erkennbar ist.

Für den Filmstreifen habe ich eine Stanze von MFT genommen. Hier sind die einzelnen Bilder aber viel schmaler. Also habe ich die Giraffe abgestempelt und dann erst nur die linke Kante, anschließend die rechte per Partial Die Cutting gestanzt. Die Querlinien habe ich dann mit einem Cuttermesser verbunden. 

Ich habe die Giraffe mit Ohuhu Markern coloriert, und zwar nur die Teile in den einzelnen Bildern, die auf dem Rahmen habe ich uncoloriert gelassen. Die Bereiche rund um die Giraffe habe ich blau coloriert und dabei versucht, die Farben des Hintergrunds zu treffen. 

Den Filmstreifen habe ich dann dunkelblau hinterlegt und die einzelnen Bilder mit 3D Tape an ihren Platz im Streifen geklebt.

 

For the image I went with the giraffe from Lange Freunde by Create a Smile - it's a great image to cut out with a filmstrip die, keeping the image recognizable. 

For the film strip I used a die by MFT. The individual pictures are a lot smaller with this die. So I stamped the giraffe first, then first cut the left edge, then the right edge of the film strip by doing some partial diecutting. Then I used my craft knife to connect the edges of the inner pieces.

I colored  the giraffe with Ohuhu markers, only coloring the parts inside the small pictures, leaving the ones stamped onto the filmstrip uncolored. I  colored the areas around the image blue, trying to make the colors match the background.

I put some dark blue cardstock behind the film strip and then used foam tape to glue the individual pictures back in place.

 

Als Text habe ich mich für ein Miss You aus dem Set Flowers in Bloom von MFT, kombiniert mit einem "it's been too long" aus Wild Wolves von LawnFawn entschieden. Beide habe ich jeweils mit weißem Embossingpulver auf dunkelblauen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten. Ich fand, das passt ganz gut zu der Giraffe mit dem super langen Hals.

 

For the text I went with a Miss You from Flowers in Bloom by MFT, combined with a "it's been too long" from Wild Wolves by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed both onto dark blue cardstock and cut them out. It thought, these go great with the giraffe and her extra long neck.

 

Hier sieht man ganz gut, wie die einzelnen Bilder im Filmstreifen hervorgehoben sind. 

 Im oberen Bereich habe ich ein paar kleine weiße Wolken auf der Karte verteilt und dann als Deko einige braune Herzen aufgeklebt. 

Die braunen Flecken und das Auge der Giraffe habe ich dann noch mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Here you can see pretty good how the individual pictures in the film strip are brought up.

I added some small white clouds to the top of the card and glued some brown clay hearts down as decorations. 

I covered the brown parts and the eye of the giraffe with Glossy Accents. Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Toi, Toi, Toi!

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Inzwischen haben wir ja so einige Feste aus den USA - und anderen Teilen der Welt - übernommen, St. Patrick's Day wird für mich aber nie dazu gehören. Trotzdem haben mich all die Kleeblätter, die man momentan auf Karten sieht, inspiriert und ich habe sie auf diese frühlingshafte Karte gepackt.

We in Germany have taken in quite some holidays from the US - and other parts of the world. But to me St. Patrick's Day will never be one of them. But I still got inspired by all the shamrock cards I've seen lately and put some on this spring card.

 

Als Basis diente hier ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock, dessen Mitte ich per Ink Shmooshing mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean hellblau eingefärbt habe. Vor einiger Zeit habe ich einVideo gesehen, ich weiß nicht mehr von wem, in dem eine Art Knödel aus Zewa gemacht wurde, der dann in Folie gepackt wurde. Die Enden werden zu einem kleinen Griff gedreht. Damit wurde dann die mit Wasser verdünnte Tinte aufgetragen, was dann viel kontrollierter geht, als auf die herkömmliche Art. Ihr wisst ja, ich bin ein Kontrollfreak. Aber so macht auch mir das Ink Smooshing super viel Spaß - und 100 % kontrollierbar ist es trotzdem nicht.

Auf den hellblau eingefärbten Bereich habe ich nach dem Trocknen noch hellrosa Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

I used a piece of watercolor cardstock as the base here and colored its center a light blue by doing ink smooshing with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. A while ago I saw a video, and once again I don't remember who made it, where they made a ball from a paper towel and covered that with thin plastic. The ends were twisted and formed some kind of small handle. This was used to apply the watered down ink and that was so much more controllable than the usual way of doing ink smooshing. You know me, I am a control freak. But done like that even I can enjoy it, and it's still not completly controllable.

After the background had dried I splattered some light pink metallic watercolor onto the blue area.

 

 Die Wiese samt dem Klee habe ich dann mit dem Lots of Luck Stempelset von SimonSaysStamp gestaltet. Ich habe alles mit verschiedenen Stempelkissen von MFT und SU auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Und weil das Gras nicht ganz bis an den Rand der Karte reichte, habe ich rechts und links noch etwas davon direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

Und dann fiel mir das 4 Leaf Clover Stempelset von ColoradoCraft in die Hände. Der kleine Hamster, der stolz das gerade gefundene vierblättrige Kleeblatt in die Luft reckt, war doch das perfekte Motiv für meine Wiese. Ich habe es mit dem NoLine Kissen von InkOn3 abgestempelt umd mit Copics coloriert. Ich wollte lieber eine kleine Maus statt eines Hamsters, also habe ich Grautöne gewählt und beim Colorieren die Ohren minimal vergrößert. Für die Details habe ich dann Polychromos eingesetzt, die Highlights auf allen Motiven sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Auch dieses Motiv habe ich ausgeschnitten und die Kleewiese, in der der Hamster eigentlich sitzt, dabei weggeschnitten. 

 

I created the meadow with the clovers using the Lots of Luck stamp set by SimonSaysStamp, stamping it with different inks by MFT and SU onto white cardstock. Then I cut the image out by hand. And because the grass didn't reach to the edge of my background I simply stamped some more of it directly onto the watercolor cardstock. 

And then I came across the 4 Leaf Clover set by ColoradoCraft. This little hamster, that's proudly holding up the shamrock he just found, was the perfect image for my meadow. I stamped it with the NoLine ink pad by InkOn3 and colored it with Copics. I wanted a mouse instead of a hamster, so I went with greys and made the ears a tad bit larger. For the details I brought in my Polychromos, the highlights on all the images are made with a white gel pen. I cut this image out with my scissors again, cutting off the field of clovers this hamster is originally sitting in. 

 

 Für die Texte kamen dann Produkte von Create a Smile zum Einsatz.

Der gestanzte Text ist mit dem Set Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten gemacht. Ich liebe die Bordürenstanze, deren Kante der oberen Linienführung der gestanzten Worte entspricht. Ich habe sie hier aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und darauf dann die Worte, gestanzt aus grünem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. 

Die gestempelten Texte sind aus dem Set Glücksbringer und jeweils weiß auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock embosst. Einen dieser Texte habe ich unter den gestanzten Text, den anderen oben links auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

For the texts I used products by Create a Smile.

The die cut text is made with the Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten set. I love the border die, that matches the top edge of the die cut words. I cut it from white cardstock and glued the individual words, cut from green cardstock, onto it.

The stamped texts are from Glücksbringer and white heat embossed onto dark green cardstock. I adhered one of them under the die cut words, the other one to the to left of the background.

 

 Die Wiese mit dem Klee ist direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die Maus ist mit dünnem, der Cardstockstreifen mit dem gestanzten Texte mit dickem 3D Tape angebracht. Beim Kleeblatt, das die Maus hochhält, habe ich  nur die Blätter mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt, so dass das etwas weiter hervorsteht. Und auch den Text oben auf der Karte habe ich damit aufgeklebt.

Als Deko habe ich dann ein paar kleine rosafarbene Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the meadow with the clover directly onto the background. I backed the mouse with thin, the cardstock strip with the die cut text with thick foam tape. I put a piece of that just behind the shamrock, the mouse is holding, to make it stand up a bit more. And I also put thick foam tape behind the text strip in the top left of the card.

I added some pink clay hearts as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Eine affige Karte - oder so

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Von Create a Smile gibt es ja zu jeder Bestellung einen Mini-Stempel als Goodie. Bis auf die erste Serie habe ich die alle komplett - und ja, auch hier schlägt das Full-Set-Syndrom zu - und das auch dank der Tauschwilligen in der FB-Gruppe. Nun gibt es eine neue Serie und ich habe hier einen Affen aus einer älteren Kollektion gegen einen Affen aus der ganz neuen getauscht. Ich finde es immer schön, wenn die Karte, mit der der Tauschstempel kommt, dann auch irgendwie zum Tausch passt. Und so habe ich diese Affenkarte gewerkelt. Der Affe unten ist übrigens der, den ich in Mini ertauscht habe....

 Der zweite Affe, den ich doppelt hatte, hat leider nicht so ganz ins Kartenkonzept gepasst.  

 

Hello everyone!

With every Create a Smile order you get a mini stamp as a gift. I have all the series except the first one complete - and yes, Full-Set-Syndrom also kicks in here - also because of the exchange post in the FB group. A new series just started and I exchanged a monkey from an older series with the one from the new series. I always like  when the card I send the mini stamp in goes with the exchanged image(s). So I made this monkey card, the monkey on the bottom is the one I got as a mini.

The second monkey, that I had a second one of, didn't fit the card concept.

 

Da der ertauschte Affe mit dem Bananen-Telefon  telefoniert, kam mir die Idee, die Karte optisch in zwei Teile zu teilen und in jedes einen telefonierenden Affen zu setzen. 

Ich habe hier aus schwarzem Cardstock den Peppermint Stripes Backdrop von LawnFawn ausgestanzt und bis auf einen Streifen etwa in der Mitte alle anderen Streifen weggeschnitten. Damit er in die richtige Richtung geht, habe ich das Stanzteil dann auch noch aufs Gesicht gelegt. 

Den oberen/rechten Teil habe ich mit blauem, den unteren/linken Teil mit grünem Cardstock hinterlegt. Die Cardstockstücke habe ich jeweils mit Distress Ink (Rustic Wilderness und Salty Ocean) ein wenig gewischt und dann auf beide Teile weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Über alles habe ich dann erst den Tropical Leaves Backdrop und darauf dann einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames, beides ebenfalls von LawnFawn, geklebt. Den Blätterrahmen habe ich aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und die Blätter mit Copics in unterschiedlichen Grünkombis coloriert. Den Rahmen obenauf habe ich wieder aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt.

 

The monkey I got in exchange is one making a call with his banana phone. So I got the idea, to seperate the card into two areas and put one monkey with a banana phone onto each.

I die cut the Peppermint Stripes Backdrop by LawnFawn from black cardstock and cut off all the stripes except one, that's placed about in the center. To have the stripe go the right direction I also turned the die cut on its face.

 I backed the upper/right half with blue, the lower/left one with green cardstock. I inked both pieces lightly with Distress Ink (Rustic Wilderness and Salty Ocean) and then spalttered white acrylic paint onto both pieces.

I first put the Tropical Leaves Backdrop on top of the background and then, on top of that, a Stitched Rectangle Frame, both again from LawnFawn. I die cut the leaf frame from light green cardstock and colored the leaves in different combinations of greens with Copics.  The frame on top I die cut again from black cardstock.

 

 Der Affe auf der rechten Seite hängt mit seinem Schwanz von einer Liane herab. Eigentlich hält er keine Banane in der Hand, die ist einzeln im Set enthalten. Ich habe den zweiten Arm des Affen abgeschnitten und nur das vordere Ende als Hand an die Banane geklebt.

Die Sprechblase ist aus dem All the Speech Bubbles Stempelset von LawnFawn, das "hallo?!" darin aus dem Am Telefon Set von Create a Smile. Ich habe die Sprechblase gelb coloriert und mit schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt. 

 

The monkey on the right side is dangling from a vine, that he's clinging to with his tail. Originally he doesn't hold a banana, this is an individual image from the set. I cut off the second arm of this monkey and glued just the end to the banana to create a hand.

The speech bubble is from All the Speech Bubbles by LawnFawn, the "hello?!" I stamped into it is from Am Telefon by Create a Smile. I colored the speech bubble yellow and put a black shadow behind it.

 

 Der Affe im linken Teil der Karte ist tatsächlich so im Set enthalten. Auch hier habe ich eine Sprechblase mit dem selben Text angebracht und habe nur die Spitze, die unten an den Sprechblasen angebracht ist, durch eine in die andere Richtung zeigende ersetzt. 

Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert. 

Zwischen den beiden Bananen-Telefonen habe ich dann noch ein klassisches Telefonkabel gespannt. Da ich hier keine passende Stanze hatte, habe ich einfach viermal die Luftschlange aus dem Balloon Shaker Window and Frame Set von MFT  aus schwarzem Glossy-Cardstock gestanzt und an den Enden aneinander geklebt. Eines der Teile habe ich dabei umgedreht. Wer erinnert sich auch noch daran, wie sich das Telefonkabel immer verheddert hat...?

Auf der rechten Seite habe ich unten dann auch noch ein "vielen lieben Dank" als Text aufgeklebt. Das ist aus dem Set Bunte Texte von Create a Smile und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

The monkey in the left half of the card is actually drawn like this. Again I  added a speech bubble with the same text, I just changed the "tip" at the bottom of the speech bubble with one that points in the other direction.

I colored all images with Copics.

Between those two banana phones I added a phone cord. I didn't have a die for that so I simply cut the streamers from Balloon Shaker Window and Frame by MFT four times from black glossy cardstock and glued the pieces together. I turned one of the pieces. Who else remembers the way the phone cord always got twisted....?

On the right bottom of the card I also added a "thank you so much" text, that I white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Zwischen den einzelnen Lagen der Karte befindet sich jeweils 3D Tape. 

Als Deko habe ich einige kleine Herzen aufgeklebt - weiße im blauen, blaue im grünen Bereich der Karte und neben dem Text. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put foam tape between the different layers of the card.

As decoration I added some small clay hearts - white ones in the blue, blue ones in the green area of the card and on the text.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Geburtstags-Shaker-Karte

Ich bastel ja gerne in Blautönen. Aber bei all den Winterkarten, die ich in letzter Zeit gemacht habe, bin ich des Blaus ein wenig überdrüssig geworden. Und deswegen habe ich heute eine Karte, die farblich mal so ganz anders ist.

I love crafting in blues. But with all the winter cards I have been making lately I am a bit sick of this color. And so today I am sharing a card with you that is completly different colorwise. 

 

Ich habe hier eine Geburtstagskarte in beige, rot und braun, in die ein Shaker eingebaut ist.

Als Basis habe ich zwei Stücke cremefarbenen Cardstock genommen. Aus einem habe ich einen der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames von WaffleFlower ausgestanzt. Bei diesem Cardstockstück habe ich die Ränder mit Distress Ink Antique Linen und Frayed Burlap gewischt und dann mit Frayed Burlap den Freude und Jubel Hintergrund von Create a Smile darüberstempelt. Der ist bewusst nicht perfekt gestempelt, er soll nur den Hintergrund etwas interessanter machen.

Beim zweiten Cardstockstück habe ich mir den Bereich markiert, der später durch den ausgestanzten Rahmen sichtbar ist, und ebenfalls mit den beiden Distress-Farben etwas abgedunkelt. 

 

I made a birthday card in cream, red and brown and included a shaker in it.

As the base I started with two pieces of cream colored cardstock. From one of them I die cut one of the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower. This cardstock with the cut out frame I inked at the edges with Distress Ink Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap and then used Frayed Burlap to stamp the birthday text stamp Freude und Jubel by Create a Smile onto it. I didn't ink that up too carefully because I just want this text to add a bit of interest to the background.

On the second piece of cardstock I marked the area, that will be visible through the frame later, and inked that with the same Distress Ink colors.

 

 Innerhalb des Fensters habe ich dann mit dem Celebration Streamers Stempel von TheGreetery Luftschlangen aufgestempelt. Ich habe sie mit korallefarbener Tinte gestempelt und dann mit Hilfe des dazugehörigen Stencils und dunklerer Tinte die Schatten hinzgefügt. Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Diesen Bereich der Karte habe ich dann in einen Shaker verwandelt und ihn mit rosegoldenen Pailetten gefüllt. Auf die Folie, die den Shaker abdeckt, habe ich mit schwarzem StazOn den Text aus dem Stempelset Konfetti von Create a Smile aufgestempelt.

Nach dem Aufkleben der oberen Cardstocklage habe ich  den Nesting Piercing Ticket Frame ein weiteres Mal aus braunem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt und oben auf die Folie aufgeklebt.

 

Inside the window I stamped some streamers using the Celebration Streamers stamp by TheGreetery. I stamped them with coral ink and then used the matching stencils and a darker ink to add the shadows to the streamers. Then I splattered white acrylic paint on top.

I turned this area of the card into a shaker and filled it with rose gold sequins. Onto the acetate, that covers the shaker, I stamped a "today it should rain confetti for you" text using black StazOn ink. 

After adhering the top cardstock layer I die cut the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frame again from brown mirror cardstock and glued it onto the acetate.

 

 Natürlich darf auf so einer Karte auch ein Motiv nicht fehlen. Ich habe den Igel aus dem Heart Hugs Stanzenset von HoneyBeeStamp benutzt und alle Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Das Geschenk ist aus dem Set Build-a-Critter Winter Accessoires von LawnFawn. Ich habe alles mit Copics coloriert und den Igel an die untere Kante der Karte geklebt.

Das kleine Happy Birthday daneben ist aus dem Set Bitty Birthday Wishes von MFT und schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Ich habe außerdem mit dem Curly Q Streamers Stanzenset von TheGreetery zwei weitere Luftschlangen ausgestanzt und sie mit den gleichen Farben, mit denen ich die Luftschlangen hinter dem Shaker gestempelt habe, eingefärbt. Okay, ich gebe zu, dass ich die Luftschlangen als Reste einer anderen Karte bereits aus weißem Cardstock "auf Lager" hatte. Ich hatte sie bereits vor einiger Zeit gestanzt und bei der Lagerung haben sie ein wenig gelitten. Deswegen sind sie nicht ganz so perfekt ausgefallen.... Die beiden ausgestanzten Luftschlangen habe ich links und rechts des Shakers aufgeklebt.

 

Of course there has to be an image on a birthday card. I used the hedgehog from Heart Hugs by HoneyBeeStamps and cut all pieces from white cardstock. The present is from Build-a-Critter Winter Accessoires by LawnFawn. I colored everything with Copics and adhered the hedgehog along the bottom edge of the cardstock.

The small "happy birthday" next to it is from Bitty Birthday Wishes by MFT and stamped black onto white cardstock.

I also die cut two streamers using the Curly Q Streamers die set by TheGreetery and inked them with the same colors I also had stamped the ones inside the shaker with. Okay, I have to admit that I had those streamers left over from anothter card, cut from white cardstock. I had die cut them some time ago and while they were laying around, waiting to be used, they weren't treated too carefully and look a bit ragged... I glued those streamers onto the background, placing them to the left and right of the shaker. 

 

 Die obere Kante der Karte habe ich dann noch mit Papier-Rosetten dekoriert. Die ist mit dem Layered Rosette Stanzenset von SimonSaysStamp gemacht und mit den dazugehörigen Stencils gemacht. Ich habe wieder beide Koralletöne sowie Distress Ink Antique Linen und Frayed Burlap zum Einfärben benutzt. Ich brauchte hier nur eine Rosette zu gestalten, die habe ich dann zerschnitten und die Stücke entlang der oberen Kante der Karte angeklebt. Die überstehenden Stücke habe ich weggeschnitten.

 

The top edge of the card I decorated with some paper rosettes. I made these with the Layered Rosette die set by SimonSaysStamp and inked them with the matching stencils. I used the same two tones of coral, Distress Ink Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap to color the rosettes. I actually only had to create one rosette, then cut it apart and glued the pieces to the background. I simply cut off any overhang.

 

 Hinter den Rosetten, dem Igel, dem kleinen Text und der Luftschlange rechts befindet sich dickes oder dünnes 3D Tape.

Als Deko habe ich einige braune Herzen rund um den Igel und weitere rosegoldene Pailetten auf dem Rest der Karte verteilt aufgeklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

I put thin or thick foam tape behind the rosettes, the hedgehog, the small text and the  streamer on the right.

As decoration I glued  down some brown clay hearts around the hedgehog and more rose gold sequins on the rest of the card. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Eine meiner Töchter ist, mal wieder, für ein halbes Jahr im Ausland, Diesmal über Weihnachten - das erste Mal, dass wir an diesem Tag nicht alle zusammen sind. 

Ich habe keine Ahnung, ob ein Paket wie erreichen würde, da sie nicht unbedingt in einem westlichen Land ist. Also habe ich ihrem Freund, der Mitte November zu ihr geflogen ist, zumindest schon mal ein Nikolauspäckchen mitgegeben. Und weil sie die Karte, die ich auf einem kleinen Geschenk angebracht hatte, schon gesehen hat, kann ich sie Euch heute zeigen.

 

Hello everyone!

One of my daughters is in a far away country - again - for 6 months. This time she's gone over christmas. It will be the first time we're not all together that day.

I have no idea if a package would reach her because she's not in any country "in the west". So I gave her boyfriend, who flew over in the middle of november to visit her, a little package for Nikolaus day. And because she's already seen the card, that I tied to a little present, I can already share it with you today.

 

Die Karte ist ein wenig kleiner als eine normale Karte. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass das Muster des Embossingfolders, den ich im Hintergrund verwendet habe, nicht größer ist. Außerdem war ich mir lange nicht sicher, ob ich nur einen Tag oder eine Karte machen wollte.

Ich habe hier ein Stück kraftfarbenen Cardstock mit dem HoHoHo-Embossingfolder von Nellie Snellen geprägt. Zu dem Folder gibt es einen identischen Stencil. Den habe ich über das geprägte Muster gelegt und die Worte mit Distress Ink Lumber Jack Plaid eingefärbt. Die kleinen Punkte und Schneeflocken habe ich mit weißer Pigment-Tinte überzogen.

 

The card is a little smaller than a regular card. Mostly because the pattern of the embossing folder, that I used to create the background, just isn't large enough for a standard card. I also wasn't sure until nearly the end of creating this if I wanted to make a card or just  a tag.

I dry embossed the background pattern into a piece of craft colored cardstock using the HoHoHo embossing folder by Nellie Snellen. There is a matching stencil that goes with the embossing folder. I put that over the embossed cardstock and colored the words with Distress Ink Lumberjack Plaid. The little dots and the snowflakes I covered with white pigment ink.

 

 Der Nikolaus aus dem Fein für's Fest Stempelset von Create a Smile war perfekt für meine Karte - er hat eine tolle Größe. 

Ich habe ihn mit dem NoLine Kissen von InkOn3 abgestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Im Set ist auch eine passende Brille enthalten, ich wollte unbedingt eine goldene Brille mit Gläsern. Also habe ich versucht, sie auf Acetate zu embossen, aber das Pulver war ganz einfach wieder abreibbar. Ich bin mir sicher, dass das an meinem Pulver liegt, das bestimmt 20 Jahre alt ist. Also habe ich stattdessen eine Brille von CC Designs aus goldenem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und mit Acetate hinterlegt. Nach dem Ausschneiden der Folie habe ich noch drei weitere Brillen aus weißem Cardstock dahinter geklebt, so steht sie auch gleich etwas hervor. 

Und falls Ihr Euch jetzt denkt, dass mein Nikolaus irgendwie anders als im Stempelset aussieht - ja, das tut er.  Irgendetwas hatte mich an ihm gestört. Es dauerte ein wenig bis ich draufkam, dass es die fehlenden Augenbrauen waren. Also habe ich den Schnurrbart nochmal abgestempelt, coloriert, etwas kleiner und in zwei Teilen ausgeschnitten und umgedreht als Augenbrauen aufgeklebt. 

Das Wort Merry ist aus dem Merry Christmas Sentiments Stanzenset von Scrapbook.com. Ich habe eine Lage aus dem goldenen Metallic-Cardstock und drei weitere Lagen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt. 

Ergänzt habe ich den Text zum einen mit einem kleinen BE aus dem Offset Sayings Christmas Set von LawnFawn und einem "Gruß vom Nikolaus", den ich mir vor Jahren mal selbst gelasert habe. Beide Texte habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

The Nikolaus/Santa from Fein für's Fest by Create a Smile was perfect for my card - it has a great size and isn't too small.

I stamped him with the NoLine ink by InkOn3 and colored him with Copics. There are also some glasses for Santa included in the set. I really wanted some gold glasses with actual glasses. So I gold heat embossed them onto acetate, but the powder came off once you touched the image. I am sure it's because of my powder, that is about 20 years old. So instead I die cut some glasses by CC Designs from gold mirror cardstock and glued them onto acetate. After cutting the acetate down  I put three more layers, cut from white cardstock, behind the glasses so they have some nice dimension.

And if you wonder, why my Santa looks somehow different from the one in the stamp set - yes, it does. There was something with the image that bothered me. And it took me some time to realize, that it is the missing eyebrows. So I stamped the mustache again, colored it, cut it out  a bit smaller and into two pieces  and adhered those as eyebrows to the face. 

The word merry is from the Merry Christmas Sentiments die set by Scrapbook.com. I cut it once from gold mirror cardstock and three times from white cardstock and stacked them.

I completed the text with a small BE from Offset Sayings Christmas by LawnFawn and a "greetings from St. Nick". I lasered myself this stamp quite a few years ago. Both texts I white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Den Nikolaus und die Texte habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und das Merry dann obenauf gesetzt.

Die Nikolausmütze habe ich mit einem kleinen weißen Herz dekoriert und zwei weitere Herzen auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Den habe ich dann weiß gemattet und auf ein Stück schräg rot-weiß gestreiftes Designpapier geklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen oben gefalteten Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered Nikolaus and the texts with thin foam tape, then glued the merry on top, overlapping the larger text strip and the image.

I decorated Nikolaus' hat with a small white clay heart and glued two more onto the background. Then I matted it white and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper with red and white slanted stripes.

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white top folding note card.

 

Advent, Advent

Der erste Advent steht vor der Tür und ich habe heute eine Karte mit Advetskranz für Euch.

Advent - the four weeks before christmas - is near and today I am sharing a card with an advent wreath with you.

 

Noch sind die Kerzen alle aus, aber das muss nicht so bleiben:

 Ich habe hier einen Slider hinter den Kerzenflammen versteckt. Den kann man dann jede Woche ein Stück weiter herausziehen, so dass immer eine weitere Kerze "angezündet" wird. 

 

I put a slider behind the flames here. You can pull that out a bit further each week so each week an additional candle gets "lit up".

 

 Den Hintergrund der Karte habe ich aus hellgrauem Cardstock gemacht. Aus dem habe ich an passender Stelle die Kerzenflammen ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich ihn mit Distress Ink Hickory Smoke und Black Soot gewischt und im äußerden Bereich silberne Metallic Watercolor aufgesprüht.

 

I  made the background from light grey cardstock. I cut the flames from the rights spots of the cardstock, then inked it with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. Onto the outer areas I added splatters of silver metallic watercolor.

 

 Der Adventskranz ist mit der Adventskranz-Stanze von CreativeDepot gemacht. Den habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Da er mir etwas zu flach war, habe ich ihn ein weiteres Mal aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, einzelne Zweige ausgeschnitten und auch die mit Copics schattiert. Die habe ich dann zusammen mit weiteren Kugeln und der Schleife, die ich wieder aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und coloriert habe, auf den bereits colorierten Kranz geklebt. Eigentlich hat der Kranz nur eine große Kugel sowie einen Apfel, eine Zimtstange und einige Beeren als Deko. Ich habe fast alles davon mit den Zweigen und weiteren Kugeln überklebt. Die Schleife habe ich dreimal gestanzt, in Teile geschnitten und dann gelayert wieder aufgebaut.

Die Kugeln habe ich dann noch mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Der Text ist mit Texten aus dem Stempelset Advent, Advent von Create a Smile zusammengesetzt. Eigentlich gibt es da genau diesen Text, aber dort war mir das Advent zu klein. Außerdem war der Text zweizeilig, was nicht mehr auf meine Karte gepasst hat. Also habe ich ein anderes Advent aus dem Set benutzt - deswegen fehlen auch die Kommas zwischen den Worten. Ich habe den Text mit weißem Embossingpulver direkt auf den Hintergrund embosst. Dann habe ich den Adventskranz darüber aufgeklebt und mit einem schwarzen Copic einen Schatten auf den Hintergrund gemalt. 

 

 The advent wreath is made with the Adventskranz die by CreativeDepot. I cut that from white cardstock and colored it with Copics. Since it was a bit too flat for my taste, I cut it again from green cardstock, cut out different branches from that wreath and shaded those with Copics. Then I glued those and some more ornaments and the bow, that I cut from white cardstock again and colored them, onto the already colored wreath. This wreath originally only has one ornament and an apple, a cinnamon stick and some berries as decoration. I covered most of it with the additional branches and more ornaments. The bow I cut three times, cut them down and built up a dimensional bow.

The text I white heat embossed directly onto the background using stamps by Create a Smile. The text is the start of a german poem and means "advent, advent, a light is burning". There is a verse for each sunday in advent, when the next candle is traditionally lit up for the first time. 

I glued the wreath above the text onto the background, then added a shadow under it with a black Copic marker.

 

 Beim Herausziehen des Sliders erscheint dann auch jeweils eine Zahl, entsprechend der Zahl der bereits leuchtenden Kerzen. Eigentlich wollte ich ein "Advent" darunterstempeln, aber das wäre dann beim Aufziehen des Sliders durch die Flammenausschnitten sichtbar gewesen. Das ist auch der Grund, warum die Zahlen so weit oben auf den Cardstockstreifen aufembosst sind.

Hinter den Flammen befindet sich silberner Glitter-Cardstock, den ich auf den Kartenrohling geklebt habe.

 

When you pull out the slider,  a number, matching the already burning candles, appears on the cardstock strip. I had planned to stamp the word "advent" under the numbers, but it would have been visible through the flame cut outs. That's also the reason why I placed the numbers so high up on the cardstock strip.

Behind the flames I glued some silver glitter cardstock onto the card base. 

 

 Um genug Platz für den Slider zu haben, habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock mit 3D Tape auf den weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich dann noch einen Rahmen mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.

 

To have enough space for the slider I adhered the card panel with foam tape to the white card base.  Then I used a white gel pen to add a frame.

 

Farbe trifft Stempel #8

Der Oktober ist so schnell vergangen und heute steht schon die letzte Farbe trifft Stempel Challenge steht an. Für die haben wir uns für das Thema "Feiertage" entschieden. Und natürlich bedeutet dass nicht unbedingt "Weihnachten" - jeder Feiertag oder Grund zum Feiern ist möglich.

October went by so quickly and today we are already starting the last Farbe trifft Stempel challenge.  We picked "holidays" as the theme for this one. And of course this doesn't mean christmas - every holiday or reason to celebrate works.

 

 Ich habe trotzdem eine Weihnachts- bzw. Adventskarte gemacht. 

Ich hatte Euch ja schon von der "Mission Nussknacker" auf dem Stempelmekka erzählt und auch erwähnt, dass ich ihn mit einem bestimmten Anlass im Hinterkopf gekauft habe. Nun - hier ist der "Anlass": ich wollte ihn unbedingt für diese Challenge verwenden. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus schwarzem Cardstock. Ich wollte den Lichterzauber von Weihnachten auf meine Karte bringen und habe deshalb zur Bokeh-Technik gegriffen. Erst habe ich die Kreise mit weißer Stempelfarbe durch einen Stencil aufgetupft, das wirkte aber zu hart. Also habe ich obenauf noch etwas goldene Metallic-Pigmentfarbe aufgetragen. So ist es viel weicher und passt besser.

Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

I still made a christmas or advent card.

I have already told you the story of "mission nutcracker" when we visited Stempelmekka back in september. And I had also mentioned, that I bought this stamp with a special "occasion" in mind. Well, here it is - I wanted to use it for this challenge.  

The background is made from black cardstock. I wanted to bring the magic of christmas and the glow of the candles on my card so I did the bokeh technique in the background. First I had stenciled on the circles with some white pigment ink, but that was way too bright. So I put some gold metallic pigment ink on top. Now it looks a lot softer and I like it much better.

I then splattered white acrylic paint onto the background.

 

 Entlang des oberen Rands des schwarzen Cardstocks habe ich dann mit einem Embossingfolder von Charlie und Paulchen einige Tannenzweige in den Cardtsock geprägt und anschließend goldenes Gilding Wax aufgetupft. Das geht mit dem Finger natürlich nie perfekt, aber irgendwie gefällt mir genau das.

 

Along the top edge of the cardstock I dry embossed some pine branches into the cardstock using an embossing folder by Charlie und Paulchen. Then I dabbed some gold gilding wax on top. Of course putting down the wax with your finger never gives a perfect result but somehow I like it even better this way.

 

 Und hier ist nun endlich der Nussknacker von CreativeDepot. Ich finde ihn so wunderbar freundlich gezeichnet und die Größe hatte mich auch sofort überzeugt (also nachdem wir sie per Satz des Pythagoras unterwegs berechnet hatten - immerhin richtig, wie wir dann samstags erfuhren). 

Ich habe ihn einmal schwarz und einmal in gelblichem Braun auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Beim braun gestempelten Motiv habe ich nur die Bereiche, die gold werden sollten, coloriert - und den Brust-Bereich mit den Knöpfen, denn die Linien dort hätte ich natürlich nicht extra ausschneiden können. Anschließend habe ich das Motiv nochmal passgenau mit Versamark darüber gestempelt und die Outlines gold embosst.

Das schwarze Motiv habe ich komplett coloriert. 

Die gold colorierten Motivteile habe ich dann mit der Schere genau entlang der embossten Linien ausgeschnitten und auf das schwarz gestempelte Motiv geklebt. So haben die goldenen Teile goldene Outlines, der Rest ganz normal.

Die Knöpfe auf der Brust habe ich mit einem schwarzen Glaze-Pen nachgemalt. Die Stiefel und der Grütel sind mit Glossy Acccents überzogen.

Und natürlich braucht der Nussknacker etwas zum knacken. Wir haben auf dem Mekka an jedem Stand nach Walnuss-Stempeln gefragt. Fündig wurden wir tatsächlich nur am Stand von Sommerabend. Oh, und bei MyPaperProject hatten sie eine Stanze, die musste auch mit. Als ich dann wieder zu Hause war und diese Karte gemacht habe, habe ich in meinen Stempeln doch tatsächlich ein älteres Set von Kulricke mit Nüssen gefunden. Ich sage dazu jetzt nichts.... Auf jeden Fall haben mir die dann von der Größe her am besten zum Nussknacker gefallen. Ich habe sie mehrfach abgestempelt, coloriert und ebenfalls ausgeschnitten.

Hinter dem Nussknacker und den Nüssen befinden sich dann noch ein paar Tannenzweige, denn die gehören zur Weihnachtszeit einfach dazu. Ich habe sie aus grau-grünem Cardstock gestanzt und dann auch hier ein wenig goldenes Gilding Wax aufgetupft.

 

And finally - here's the nutcracker by CreativeDepot. I love him and his friendly look so much and the size was also perfect. We had only seen a picture the day before Mekka and the stamp wasn't available prior to it so we used the Pythagorean Theorem to find out the size - and on saturday we found out that we were completly right.

I stamped him once with black and once with yellow-ish brown ink onto white cardstock. With the image stampd in brown I only colored the areas that I wanted to apear gold - and the area on his chest because I wouldn't have been able to cut out the gold lines there individually. Then I stamped the image on top of again using Versamark and gold heat embossed it.

The black stamped image I colored completly. 

I used my scissors to cut out the gold colored pieces just along the embossed lines and glued those onto the black stamped image. Now the gold pieces also have gold outlines.

I used a black glaze pen to re-draw the buttons, the boots and belt are covered with Glossy Accents.

And of course a nutcracker needs some nuts to crack. At Stempelmekka we asked for nut images at every single booth and found some at just one. Oh, and also a die, that we bought, just in case. When I was back home and worked on this card I found some older nuts images by Kulricke in my stash... Don't judge! ;) I liked those best sizewise with my nutcracker. I stamped them several times, colored them and cut them out.

Behind the nutcracker I put some pine branches, because those are a must during christmas time. I die cut them from grey-ish green cardstock and dabbed some more gold gilding wax onto them.

 

 Die Nüsse sind mit dünnem, der Nussknacker mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. 

Neben dem Nussknacker war dann Platz für meinen Text. Der ist aus Stempeln aus den Sets Advent Advent und Zauberhafte Weihnachtszeit von Create a Smile zusammengesetzt und weiß direkt auf den Hintergrund embosst. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar goldene Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Next to the nutcracker I found a spot for my text. It meanss "magical christmas time" and is white heat embossed directly onto the background.

I added a few gold pearls as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Farbe trifft Stempel #6

 Hallo Ihr Lieben! 

Als Thema für die sechste Farbe Trifft Stempel Challenge haben wir das Thema "Glück(wünsche)" gewählt. Eure Karte kann sich um das Thema Glück drehen oder aber gute Wünsche bzw. Glückwünsche überbringen. Oder aber Ihr kombiniert beides, so wie ich auf dieser Karte.

 

Hello everyone!

As the theme of the sixth Farbe Trifft Stempel challenge we picked "Glück(wünsche)" as the theme. Your cards can be all around luck or wishes or congratulations. Or you kind of combine those, just like I did on my card.

 

 Der Hintergrund besteht aus weißem Cardstock, in den ich mit dem Tree Rings Embossingfolder  von Nellie Snellen das Muster eingeprägrt habe.

Die Mitte des Cardstocks habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Scattered Straw gewischt und nur mittig quer über den Cardstock goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock, that I dry embossed with the Tree Rings embossing folder by Nellie Snellen.

I inked the center of the cardstock with Distress Ink Scattered Straw and splattered gold metallic watercolor across the card, again only applying it in the center.

 

 Motiv und Text auf meiner Karte sind quasi eins.

Mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT habe ich aus grünem Cardstock die Buchstaben G, L, C und K gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Um das Wort Glück schreiben zu können, fehlte mir noch ein Ü - das habe ich durch ein Hufeisen ersetzt.

Das Hufeisen ist eine Stanze von Kulricke. Ich habe es aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Ü-Punkte bilden zwei Glücks-Cents aus dem Sparschwein-Set  von Create a Smile.

Dekoriert habe ich das Hufeisen dann mit drei Kleeblättern aus dem Set Sonst Auch sowie einer kleinen goldenen Schleife und einem roten Herz.

Und weil das als Motiv natürlich etwas wenig war, habe ich noch die kleine Schornsteinfeger-Maus aus dem Set Glücksbringer, ebenfalls von Create a Smile, mit aufgeklebt. 

Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert. Und weil so ein Schornsteinfeger immer orgentlich voll Ruß ist, habe ich mit schwarzer Kreide Schmutzspuren auf Gesicht und Ohr aufgetupft. Dadurch wirkt das Gesicht zwar recht dunkel, aber doch authentisch. Mit der selben Kreide habe ich dann noch Fußspuren vom Kartenrand bis zur Maus auf den Hintergrund getupft.

Um den Text meiner Karte zu ergänzen, habe ich ein Viel sowie ein Toi, Toi, Toi! weiß auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten. Auch die Texte sind aus dem Set Glücksbringer.

I used the Impact Alphabet by MFT to die cut the letters G, L, C and K from green cardstock, then shaded them with Copics.  To writer the word "Glück" - luck - I was missing the Ü. I replaced that with a horseshoe. 

I die cut the horseshoe from white cardstock using a die by Kulricke and colored it with Copics. The dots over the U I replaced with two one-cent-coins - a lucky charm here in Germay - from the set Sparschwein by Create a Smile.

I decorated the horseshoe with three clovers, a small gold bow and a red heart.

And since the horseshoe looked a bit sad as the only image I also added  the chimney sweeper mouse from Glücksbringer, also by Create a Smile.

I colored  the images with Copics. And since a chimney sweeper is always covered in soot I used some black chalk and dabbed that onto the mouse's face and ear. It makes the face quite dark but authentic at the same time. I used the same chalk to create footprints from the edge of the card to where I glued the mouse down.

To finish the text on my card I white heat embossed a "lots of" and a "toi, toi, toi" onto dark green cardstock and cut them out. Toi, Toi, Toi is a way to wish someone luck, kind of like "knock on wood". 

 

 Ich habe jeden der grünen Buchstaben mit einem Buchstaben aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt und direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Hufeisen, Münzen und Maus sind mit dickem, die embossten Texte mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Als Deko habe ich einige goldene Perlen quer über die Karte verteilt aufgeklebt.

Ich habe den dekorierten Cardstock schwarz gemattet und dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I added a black shadow layer behind each of the green letters, then glued them onto the background. I put thick foam tape behind the horseshoe, coins and mouse and thin foam tape behind the embossed texts. 

As decoration I added some gold pearls across the card.

I matted the card panel black and glued it onto a white note card.
