Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte für die LawnFawnatics Challenge #223 mit dem Thema Summer Splash. Und Sommer und Meer gehören für mich einfach zusammen - außerdem graift das das Wort Splash nochmal extra auf... ;)

Today I  am sharing with you my card for the LawnFawnatics Challenge #223 with "summer splash" as the theme. Summer and the ocean belong together for me - and the ocean also goes great with the word "splash" in the theme... ;)

 

Die Idee zu der Karte kam mir, als ich - mit etwas Verspätung - das Replay des letzen Adventures in Cardmaking auf YT angesehen habe. Im Vorfeld gibt es auf IG eine Abstimmung, in diesem Fall welches Stempelset, welches Kartenthema und welches Colorations-Medium verwendet werden soll. Gewonnen haben diesmal How You Bean Seashell AddOn,  Geburtstag und Watercolors. Nach diesen Vorgaben machen Jenn Shurkus und Chari Moss dann in einem Live jeweils eine Karte. Chari hatte überlegt, den Muscheln auf ihrer Karte Partyhüte aufzusetzen, sich aber dann dagegen entschieden. Nun, mir hat die Idee richtig gut gefallen. Und so war der Grundstein für diese Karte gelegt. 

Basis war hier ein Stück dunkel-türkis farbener Cardstock. den ich Cardstock nur im unteren Bereich mit Distress Ink Black Soot gewischt habe. Dann habe ich mittig oben aus der Karte ein Rechteck mit dem Papercutter herausgeschnitten. 

 

I got the  idea  for this card when  I watched  the replay  of the latest issue of Adventures in Cardmaking on YT. Monday of a week they do a poll on IG, in this case which stamp set should be used, which occasion the card should be for and which coloring medium should be used. This time How You Bean Seashell AddOn, birthday and watercoloring won. After these Jenn Shurkus and Chari Moss are each making a card in a YT Live the following friday. Chari was thinking about putting party hats on her seashells, then decided against it. Well, I really liked that idea and that's how the  idea for this card was born. 

As the base I used a piece  of dark aqua cardstock and shaded justs the  bottom with some Distress Ink Black Soot. Then I used my paper cutter to cut a rectangle from the upper center of the cardstock.

 

 Da  meine Muscheln nicht einfach so auf der Karte  herumliegen sollten, habe ich dahinter eine Meeresszene sowie einige Palmen gesetzt. Nun schaut es so aus, als lägen die Muscheln davor am Strand. 

 

Since I didn't want my seashells to just lay around on the card I created an ocean scene as a backdrop and also added some palm trees. Now it looks like the seashells are laying on the beach.  

 

Hinter diesen Rahmen habe ich dann meine Meeresszene gesetzt. Die habe ich mit Distress Inks auf weißen Cardstock gewischt und für die Berge den Mountain Stencil, für das Land davor eine der Wolken des Nighttime Sky Stencil benutzt. Den Rest habe ich einfach mit Masking Tape gestaltet bzw. beim Wischen eines Bereichs die anderen damit abeklebt. Für die Sonne habe ich einfach einen kleinen Kreis aus Masking Tape benutzt. 

Als  Distress Inks kamen zum Einsatz: Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire, Lumberjack Plaid, Aged Mahogany, Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner, Hickory Smoke und Black Soot. Die Reflektionen auf dem Wasser habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. 

Zwischen Szene und dem türkisfarbenen Cardstock habe ich dann noch einen nach innen gewellten Rahmen gesetzt. Der ist mit dem Fenster aus TaDa Diorama  Scalloped Window AddOn aus rose-goldenem Spiegelcardstock  gestanzt. 

Rechts und  links  des Fensters habe ich dann noch einige Palmen gepflanzt. Dafür habe ich die Palmen aus dem Tropical  Backdrop Set benutzt und den Rahmen drumherum einfach weggeschnitten. Meine Palmen sollten eine Art Glow haben, da sie ja von der untergehenden Sonne beschienen werden. Also habe ich die Palmen nicht nur aus schwarzem, sondern auch aus hellorange-farbenem Cardstock gestanzt und die orangefarbenen Stanzteile leicht versetzt hinter die schwarzen Teile geklebt, auch hinter die Oberteile der Palmen. Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift sowie einem orangefarbenen Glitter-Gelstift habe ich trotzdem noch hinzugefügt.

Zwischen den Palmen habe ich dann noch ein Partybanner gespannt, schließlich soll das eine Geburtstagskarte werden. Das kleine Banner ist wieder aus TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window  AddOn und genauso gemacht wie die Palmen.  

 

Behind that frame I put my ocean scene. I inked that with Distress Ink onto white cardstock and used the Mountain Stencil for the mountains, for the land in front of them one of the clouds from the Nighttime Sky stencil. The other areas I simply created with masking tape, just masking off any of the areas I am not working on. The sun is just made with a small circle cut from masking tape.

To ink the scene I used Distress Ink  Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire, Lumberjack Plaid, Aged Mahogany, Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.  The light reflections on the water I created with a white gel pen.

Between that scene and the dark aqua background I put a reverse scallped rectangle that I cut from rose gold mirror cardstock. The window is made using  the one from TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window AddOn. 

To the left and right  of that window I then placed some palm trees. I used the trees from Tropical Backdrop here, cutting of the frame around them. I wanted my palm trees to have some kind of glow because the setting sun is shining on them. So I cut the  palm trees not only from black, but also from light orange cardstock and glued the orange die cuts a bit offset behind the  black ones. I did this also with the tree tops. I still added some highlights to the trees using an orange glitter gel pen and a white gel pen. 

Between the palm trees I've hung up a party banner, this is a birthday card after all. The little banner is again from TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window  AddOn and created just like the  palm trees.  

 

 Und hier seht Ihr meine Muscheln. Wie gesagt, ich war vom Adventure in Cardmaking Video inspiriert, in dem ja mit Watercolor coloriert wurde. Das habe ich hier dann auch gemacht. 

Ich habe die Muscheln aus  How You Bean Seashell AddOn mit perl-silbernem Embossingpulver auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst und dann mit Distress Inks coloriert. Die habe ich recht wild gewischt und fast ausschließlich Rottöne benutzt: Tattered Rose, Dried  Marigold, Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, Saltwater Taffy und Fired Brick. Wahrscheinlich hätten es einige Farben weniger genauso getan.... ;) Anschließend habe ich die  Muscheln mit der Schere direkt entlang der embossten Linien ausgeschnitten und korallefarbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Die Sandflecken vor und zwischen den Muscheln sind aus dem Set Build-a-House Beach AddOn und aus braunem Cardstock gemacht. Die Partyhüte sind mit dem Stempel aus Year Sixteen gemacht. Ich habe die Streifen vollflächig schwarz oder aber mit der Metallic Watercolor, die ich schon zum Splattern verwendet habe, angemalt. 

Ich habe vor jede Palme ein paar Muscheln samt Sand gesetzt und  dann die Partyhüte aufgeklebt. Ich war mir bis zum Schluss selbst nicht sicher, ob ich sie verwenden wollte, aber ich fand die Idee einfach zu schön. 

Ganz unten auf der Karte habe ich dann noch meinen Text angebracht. Auch der ist aus How You Bean Seashell AddOn und mit dem rosegoldenen Embossingpulver von LawnFawn auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

And here you can see the seashells on my card. As already mentioned did I  get inspired by the Adventure in Cardmaking video, in which they were using watercolors for the coloring. So I did that as well.

I heat embossed  the seashells from How You Bean Seashell AddOn with a silver pearl embossing powder onto watercolor cardtock and used Distress Inks for the  coloring. I mixed them quite a bit and went with just reds: Tattered Rose, Dried  Marigold, Abandoned  Coral, Worn Lipstick, Saltwater Taffy and Fired Brick. I guess I could have used fewer colors, too.... ;)

Then I used my scissors to cut the seashells out just along the embossed lines and added some fine splatters with a coral colored metallic  watercolor. 

The little piles of sand, that you can see in front of and between the seashells, are made using a die from Build-a-House Beach AddOn  and brown cardstock. The party hats are from Year Sixteen. I colored the strips either a solid black or using the  same metallic watercolor I had also used for my splatters. 

I  place a few seashells into the sand in front of each palm tree  and then glued the party hats on. Honestly, until the very end I wasn't sure if I really wanted to add them but I just loved the idea.

At the very bottom of the card I placed the text. It's again from How You Bean Seashell AddOn and heat embossed onto black cardstock using the rose gold embossing powder by LawnFawn. 

 

 Beim Zusammenkleben der Karte habe ich zwischen die einzelnen Lagen dünnes 3D Tape gesetzt. Also Deko habe ich dann noch einige hell-orange irisierenden Glitzersteine auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put thin foam tape behind each layer/element of the card, then added a few light orange iridescent rhinestones as decoration. As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Heute zeige ich Euch die letzte der Karten, die ich für all die Familien-Geburtstage im Mai gemacht habe. Diese ist für den Partner meiner Großen, der einen runden Geburtstag gefeiert hat.

Today I am sharing with you the last card I made for all those family birthdays in may. It's made for my oldest's partner, who celebrate a milestone birthday.

 

Die Karte sollte zum Geschenk passen, wenn auch nur symbolisch. Es gab eine - kindersichere - Feuerschale mit Tisch, also habe ich ein Lagerfeuer auf meine Karte gesetzt. 

Der Hintergrund ist aus weißem Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Oxides eingefärbt habe. In der Mitte des Cardstocks, vor dem sich später das Feuer in der Feuerstelle befinden sollte, habe ich mit Crackling Campfire gewischt. Dann habe ich den Himmel mit Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt. Da Sterne einfach zu einem Lagerfeuer dazugehören, habe ich dann noch silberne Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Als Boden habe ich ein Stück grauen Cardstock  hügelartig ausgestanzt und die Ecken mit Black Soot gewischt.

 

I wanted the card to go with the present. He got a child safe fire pit with a table so I created a firepit, that doesn't look anything like the gift, onto the card.

The background is made from white cardstock, that I inked with Distress Oxides. I colored the center, where the flames will be on top later, with Crackling Campfire. Then I did the sky with Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. And because stars just belong to a bonfire I splattered some silver metallic watercolor onto the sky.

For the ground I die cut a piece of dark grey cardstock in a hill shape and inked the edges with Black Soot. 

 

 Da die Geschenkidee doch ein wenig spontan war und ich keine passende Stanze hatte, habe ich eine von Globeland bestellt. Die kommen zwar aus China, vertreiben aber eigene Designs - und sie sind per A..zon Prime am nächsten Tag da. Hin und wieder finde ich das sehr praktisch.

Ich habe den Steinkreis der Feuerstelle dreimal aus verschiedenen Tönen grauen Cardstocks gestanzt und alle mit passenden Copics recht  dunkel schattiert. Nach dem Zusammenkleben habe ich schwarze und weiße Acrylfarbe  aufgespritzt. Auf die inneren Ränder des Steinkreises habe ich Distress Oxide Crackling Campfire und Mustard Seed aufgetupft, so als würde das Feuer die Steine anscheinen. 

Die Flammen sind aus gelbem und orangefarbenem Cardstock gemacht, nur die größte habe ich aus Vellum gestanzt. Ich habe sie aufeinander und in den Steinkreis geklebt und dann mit Stickles beglittert. 

Hinter den Flammen habe ich dann mit einem Stencil und Distress Oxide Pumice Stone sowie weißer Pigmentfarbe aufsteigenden Rauch aufgestencilt. Da ich keinen passenden Stencil hatte, habe ich einfach Flammen aus Mylar-Folie ausgestanzt und mir so selbst einen Stencil gemacht. 

Über dem Feuer habe ich dann noch einige kleine Funken aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich am Rand der Feuerstelle einige Grasbüschel aus schwarzem Cardstock angeklebt und auf den Rand der Feuerstelle zwei Stöcke mit schön gerösteten Marshmallows hingelegt. Die gehören zu einem Abend am Lagerfeuer einfach dazu. 

 

Since the gift idea came kind of last minute and I didn't have a firepit die I ordered one by Globeland. They are from China but sell their own designs/sets - and you can get them at A..zon. With prime I had it the next day and every now and then that comes in very handy. 

I die cut the stone circle three times from different shades of grey cardstock and shaded each quite dark with matching Copics. After putting the firepit together I finely splattered white and black acrylic paint onto it. Onto the inner edges of the stone circles I dabbed some Distress Oxide Crackling Campfire and Mustard Seed as if the fire shines onto the stones.

The flames I cut from yellow and orange cardstock, only the largest one is cut from vellum. I glued them on top of each other and into the firepit, then glittered them with Stickles.

Behind the flames I added some smoke using Distress Oxide Pumice Stone and some white pigment ink and a stencil. I didn't have a flame stencil so I cut a die from Mylar and made my own. 

I glued some small sparks above the flames. I also added some grass, cut from black cardstock, to the bottom of the firepit and two sticks with roasted marshmallows onto the top row of stones. Those are a must have with every bonfire.

 

 Als Text konnte ich mir ein Wortspiel nicht verkneifen, das zum Lagerfeuer passt. Ehrlich gesagt war das auch der Grund, warum ich den Rauch hinzugefügt habe. Es ist aus dem Set Lava You von MFT und schwarz auf grauen Cardstock gestempelt.

 

I couldn't resist a little pun that goes with the bonfire. Honestly, this was the reason I added the smoke. It's from Lava You by MFT and stamped black onto grey cardstock.

 

 

Am unteren Rand der Karte kam dann noch ein Geburtstagsgruß, bestehen aus einem gestanzten happy sowie der Zahl 40. Das happy ist von Create a Smile, die 40 aus einem Set von Sizzix - die dreidimensionale Schattenlage habe ich weggelassen. Stattdessen habe ich hinter die Stanzteile, die ich aus grauem Cardstock gemacht habe, eine Schattenlage aus weißem Cardstock gesetzt. So hebt sich der Text besser vom ebenfalls grauen Hintergrund ab.

 

To the bottom of the card I glued a birthday greeting, made from a die cut happy and the number 40. The happy is by Create a Smile, the numbers by Sizzix - I didn't use the dimensional shadows. Instead I put a white shadow behind the die cuts, that I cut from grey cardstock. This way they have a bit more contrast to the also grey background.  

 

 Ich habe den gestempelten Text und die Feuerstelle samt Hügel mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und mit einem weißen Gelstift einen Rahmen aufgemalt. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the stamped text and the firepit including the ground with thin foam tape, then drew a frame with a white gel pen. As the last step I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Have a colorful birthday

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Erinnert  Ihr Euch an das Bücherstapel-Monster, das ich Euch vor kurzem gezeigt habe? Ich hatte ja gesagt, dass ich das für meine Nichte zum Geburtstag gemacht habe. Ich habe gelogen! Nun ja, nicht wirklich. Als ich die Karte gemacht habe - und den Blogpost geschrieben habe - war das tatsächlich der Plan. Aber irgendwie fühlte es sich nicht richtig an und ich habe sie kurzerhand gefragt, ob sie einen Geburtstagswunsch hat. Es wurden dann letztendlich Coco Wyo Malbücher. Und weil ich den Gutscheinhalter dann nicht mehr brauchte, habe ich kurzerhand eine weitere Karte gemacht, die vom Thema her zu Malbüchern passte. Und hier ist sie.

Do you remember the stack of books monster I shared with you a little ago? I had said that I made it for as my niece's birthday gift. Well, I lied. Okay, not really. Because when I made it - and wrote the blog post - that was the plan. But it didn't feel right to me so I just asked her if she has a wish. Of course she did and I got her some Coco Wyo coloring books. And because I didn't need a giftcard holder anymore I went ahead and made her a new card that went with the coloring books. And here it is.

 

Ich habe, von der Deko abgesehen, eine One-Layer-Card gemacht und die durfte richtig bunt werden. 

Für die Stifte habe ich den Hintergrund aus Just Write von SimonSaysStamp leicht schräg zweimal auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst. 

Dann habe ich die Stifte mit Distress Inks coloriert und dabei einen großen Stapel an Distress Kissen verwendet. Die einzelnen Kombis nenne ich Euch gleich. Nach dem Colorieren der Stifte habe ich die Bereiche dazwischen mit Seedless Preserves richtig dunkel eingefärbt und über alles mit einem Pinsel ein wenig Distress Mica Stain London Fog gespritzt. Ganz fein, es sollte nur ein wenig glitzern. 

 

Not counting the decorations I made a one layer card here and went really colorful.

For the pencils I white heat embossed the pencil background from Just Write by SimonSaysStamp twice a bit slanted onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. 

And then I brought out a big pile of Distress Inks to color the pencils in. I will let you know the colors I used for each pencil in the description of the next two pictures. After coloring the pencils in I used Seedless Preserves to color the areas between the pencils a very dark reddish purple. Then I used a brush to add some fine splatters of Distress Mica Stain London Fog - just to add a bit of sparkle.

 

 Die Stifte auf diesem Ausschnit sind - von oben nach unten mit Twisted Citron und Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed und Wild Honey, Victorian Velvet und Aged Mahogany sowie Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner coloriert. Für die Radiergummi-Enden habe ich Tattered Rose und Worn Lipstick, für die Holzteile Antique Linen und Brushed Corduroy verwendet. Die Metallteile zwischen Radiergummi und Stift sind mit Hickory Smoke eingefärbt.

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich nur entlang der embossten Linien die Schatten mit Polychromos verstärkt. Damit habe ich dann auch eine leichte Maserung auf die Holzteile sowie einige Linien auf die Metallteile aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich auf der linken Seite und unter jedem Stift einen feinen Schatten aufgemalt. 

 

The pencils on this close up are - from top to bottom - colored with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey, Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany and Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner. For the erasers I used Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick, for the wooden pieces Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy. The metall pieces between the eraser and pencil I colored with Hickory Smoke.

After the panel had dried I used Polychromos to deepen the shadows just along the embossed lines. I also used these to add a wooden pattern to the wooden pieces and some lines to the metall pieces. I also drew a drop shadow on the left side and under each pencil.

 

 Die Stifte im unteren Bereich sind dann mit Scattered Straw und Fossilized Amber, Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers sowie Mowed Lawn und Rustic Wilderness coloriert. 

Auf die Stifte habe ich dann an die Stelle, auf der normalerweise der Name des Herstellers eingebrannt wird, kleine Texte aufgestempelt. Auf dem gelben Stift, der quer über die komplette Karte läuft, habe ich den Haupttext untergebracht. Die Texte sind aus den Stempelsets Itty Bitty Birthday und Itty Bitty Celebrations von MFT, nur das Wort "colorful" ist aus dem Set Brilliant Day von HoneyBeeStamps. Die Texte habe ich alle mit Versafine Clair Nocturne aufgestempelt. 

 

The pencils in the lower half of the card are made with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber, Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.

In the area where usually the pencil brand is written on I added some small texts and put the main text onto the yellow pencil that goes all over the card. The texts are from Itty Bitty Birthday and Itty Bitty Celebrations  by MFT, only the word "colorful" is from Brilliant Day by HoneyBeeStamps. I stamped the texts onto the pencils with Versafine Clair Nocturne. 

 

 Auf die Metallringe der Stifte habe ich mit einem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen einen metallischen Schimmer aufgetragen, der aber die Details der Coloration nicht überdeckt.

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Sterne sowie klare Glitzersteine auf dem Hintergrund verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Penon the metall rings on the pencil, that adds some  metallic shimmer but doesn't cover the details in the coloring.  

I added some white clay hearts and clear rhinestones as decoration and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Craft Roulette #323

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte, die nach den Parametern der Episode #323 von Craft Roulette entstanden ist. Diesmal hat das Rad folgende Parameter ermittelt:

- Project: A7

- Colors: Pretty

- Element: Photo Booth

- Random: Geometric Shape(s) 

Und die fand ich tatsächlich ziemlich einfach umzusetzen, zumindest als ich mich einmal dazu entschieden hatte, einen Fotoautomaten als Kartenfront zu machen.

Today I am sharing with you the card I made using the parameters of episode #323 of Craft Roulette. This time Mr. Wheel picked these parameters:

- Project: A7

- Colors: Pretty

- Element: Photo Booth

- Random: Geometric Shape(s)

And I thought these were pretty easy to combine, at least once I decided to turn my card front into a photo booth.  

 

Das Kartenformat A7 ist 5"x 7" groß. Ich weiß, dass das recht gängig ist, hatte  mich vor der Größe aber immer gescheut. Nun, ich muss sagen, dass sie gar nicht so groß ist, wie ich befürchtet  habe - etwa 12,5 x 17,5 cm. 

Ich habe die Kartenfront aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks gemacht, den ich ein klein wenig kleiner  zugeschnitten habe. Dann habe ich es an den Rändern mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina ein wenig  eingefärbt. Dann habe ich mit einem Papierschneider ein  Rechteck aus der Karte geschnitten, das den Eingang zu meinem Fotoautomaten darstellt. Und mit diesem Rechteck, zusammen mit der rechteckigen Form und den später noch hinzugefügten Rechtecken für die Deko, ist auch  der Punkt "geometrische  Formen" abgearbeitet. 

 

The card size A7 measures 5" x 7" . I know, it''s a pretty common size but I was always afraid of the size.  Now that I have made one, I have to admit, that it isn't as large as I thought.

I made my card front from a piece of white cardstock, thatI cut a bit smaller than  A7. Then I inked the edges with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and cut a rectangle from my paper using my paper cutter. This makes the entry to my photo booth. And with this entry, together with the rectangle shape of the card and  the  other rectangles I added later, the parameter "geometric  shapes" can be checked off. 

 

 Hinter den Ausschnitt auf der rechten  Seite der Karte habe ich dann erst einen schmalen schwarzen Rahmen und dahinter einen  Vorhang aus rotem Cardstock  gesetzt. Der besteht aus zwei Streifen Cardstock, den ich unten mit einer Wellenstanze gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert habe. Die Highlights sind  mit einem weißen Polychromo gemacht. Anschließend habe ich sie leicht überlappend aufeinander und hinter den Ausschnitt geklebt. Dahinter kam dann noch ein Stück türkisfarbenen Cardstocks als Boden.

Und wie das immer so ist wenn mehrere Leute sich in so einen Automaten quetschen, gibt es ein Hin und Her und der Automat löst immer zu früh aus. Das kann man dann auch vor dem Gerät hören. Also habe ich drei Sprechblasen aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, weiß hinterlegt und dann weiß ein "smile" und ein "say cheese" von Clearly Besotted sowie ein "hmpf" von Kreativsüchtig aufembosst. Die habe ich dort auf die Vorhänge geklebt, wo sie überlappen.  

Auf der linken Seite der Karte habe ich im oberen Bereich meinen Text untergebracht. Der ist aus Sweater Weather in the Woods von MFT und schwarz auf pinkfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt. Dann habe ich ihn ausgeschnitten und dunkelpink hinterlegt. So  wirkt der Text wie ein Werbeplakat, das auf dem Automaten klebt. Dahinter habe ich quer über den Automaten noch einen breiteren Streifen türkisfarbenen  sowie darüber und darunter je einen schmalen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks geklebt.

Darunter habe ich ein weiteres, kleineres Schild angebracht, auf das ich einen "Text" aus dem Open Book Trio Set von WaffleFlower gestempelt habe. Das wirkt ein wenig wie die Anleitung. Daneben befinden sich zwei schwarze Knöpfe sowie der Geldeinwurfschacht. 

Und darunter dann der Ausgabeschacht für die Fotos. Er ist schwarz umrandet und mit einem pinkfarbenen  Pfeil markiert. 

 

 Behind the  cut out on the right  side  I first adhered a thin black frame, then a curtain behind it. The curtain is made from two strips of red cardstock. I cut the bottom edge into a wavy shape and shaded the curtains with Ohuhu markers. The highlights are made  with a white Polychromo. Then I glued them slightly overlapping onto each other and behind the cut out. Behind the curtain I added a piece of aqua cardstock for the floor.

And as always when a lot of people try to get onto one picture in a photo booth there's a lot of giggling and  screaming going on that you can also  hear outside of the booth. So I die cut three speech bubbles from black cardstock, matted them black and white heat embossed a "smile" and a "say cheese" by Clearly  Besotted and a "hmpf" by Kreativsüchtig onto them. Then I glued them onto  the curtains, just where they overlap. 

On the left side of the card I adhered my text, placing it in the upper area. It's from Sweater Weather in the Woods by MFT and stamped black onto pink cardstock. Then I cut it out and matted it dark pink. Now the  text looks like a commercial slogan  put onto the booth. Behind it I als added a wider strip of aqua cardstock and above and under that a thin strip of black cardstock all across the card. 

Under the large sign I added a smaller one where I stamped one of the "texts" from Open Book Trio by WaffleFlower. These look like the instructions for how to use the booth. Next to it there are two black buttons and the slits to put the money in.

And under that there's the slit where the printed photos will come out, framed black and marked with a dark pink arrow. 

 

 Ganz oben habe ich quer über die Kartenfront ein weiteres Schild mit den Worten "Photo Booth" aufgeklebt. Das Schild ist wieder aus hell- und dunkelpinkem Cardstock, die Buchstaben sind aus schwarzem und türkisfarbenem Cardstock mit den Lemon Alphas von Create a Smile gemacht.

Und links darunter ist dann auch ein großes Schild mit dem Preis für die Fotos zu sehen. $ 2,49 ist ja recht günstig, aber außer den Cent-Beträgen aus den Postage Collage Sets hatte ich nichts passendes. Also habe ich den Preis des Comic Buchs aus Comic Book Page von WhimsyStamps verwendet. 

 

Across the top of the card I adhered another sign with the word "photo booth" glued onto it. I made the sign from light and dark pink cardstock again, the letters are cut from black and aqua cardstock using the Lemon Alphas by Create a Smile.

And on the left side, right under the sign, there's a sticker showing the price for the pictures. Well, $ 2,49 isn't much. But except for the Cent ones from the Postage Collage Sets by WaffleFlower I didn't have anything in my stash. So I used the price that's printed on the comic book from Comic Book Page by WhimsyStamps.

 

Beim Zusammenkleben der Karte habe ich dünnes 3D Tape hinter das große Schild oben an der Karte sowie zwischen Rahmen und Vorhang sowie Vorhäng und türkisfarbenen Boden gesetzt. Auch die Sprechblasen sind damit hinterlegt. 

Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling in A7-Format geklebt.

 

When putting the card together I used thin foam tape to adhere the large sign across the top of the card and also put some of it between the frame and the curtains and also  the curtains and the aqua floor. Also the speech bubbles are adhered  with it.

Then I glued the card front onto a card base in an A7 size.

 

 Nun sollte aus einem solchen  Automat auch ein Foto kommen - zumindest wenn er richtig funktioniert. Und Ihr habt Euch sicher schon gedacht, dass der Pfeil nicht nur Deko ist.... Zieht man daran, kommt ein Filmstreifen mit den letzten beiden gemachten Bildern aus dem Automaten. 

 

Well, from such a photo booth a photo should come out - at least if it's working properly. And I am sure you already guessed that the arrow is not just there for decorative purposes... When you pull it film strip with the last two pictures taken comes out of the slit.

 

 Tja, und die Bilder sehen genau so  aus wie die, die ich hier in mehreren Varianten und mit  mehreren Personen zu Hause habe - Erinnerungen an tolle Tage mit Freunden. 

Ich habe hier die Stempel aus dem Little Hedgehog Agenda Stempelset von MamaElephant verwendet. Die  waren schön vielseitig und klein genug, dass auch jeweils fünf  Igel auf ein Bild passen. Der Filmstreifen ist übrigens wieder von Clearly Besotted. 

Die Szenen mit den Igeln habe ich jeweils durch Maskieren zusammengestempelt und dann mit Ohuhu Markern coloriert. Dann habe ich die Filmstreifen ausgeschnitten, unten den Pfeil aufgeklebt und alles durch den Schlitz in der Karte gesteckt. Als Stopper dient ein Streifen Cardstocks, der quer auf den Filmstreifen geklebt und etwas breiter als der Schlitz ist. 

 

And those pictures look exactly like the ones I have at home in different variations and with different persons - souvenirs from fun days with friends.

I used stamps from Little Hedgehog Agenda by MamaElephant here. The hedgehogs were all slightly different and small enough to fit five of them onto each photo. The film strip is again from Clearly Besotted. 

I did some masking to put each scene together, then colored the hedgehogs with Ohuhu markers. Then I cut the film strip out, added the arrow to the bottom and put it through the slit in the card. As a stopper glued a strip of cardstock across the back of the film strip, that's a bit wider than the slit.

 

Geburtstagskarte mit Blumen

Von Ende April bis Ende Mai geht es bei uns in der Familie geburtstagstechnisch Schlag auf Schlag.  Und deswegen zeige ich Euch heute eine weitere, aber noch nicht letzte Geburtstagskarte. Sie ist für meine Mom entstanden. 

 

Hello everyone!

  From end of april until end of may there's one birthday after another in our family. So I am sharing another, and still not the last, birthday card with you today. I made this one for my mom.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus einem Stück rosafarbenen Cardstocks. Aus der Mitte habe ich eine der Capsule Basics von TheGreetery gestanzt und dann mit weißer Tinte den Freude und Jubel Hintergrund von Create a Smile aufgestempelt.

 

The background is made from a piece of pink cardstock. I cut one of the Capsule Basic dies by TheGreetery from the center and then used white pigment ink to stamp the Freude und Jubel text background by Create a Smile onto it.

 

 Um den Ausschnitt im pinkfarbenen Cardstock habe ich dann einen Wellenrand gelegt, auch der ist mit einer Stanze aus der Capsule Reihe von TheGreetery gemacht. Innerhalb des Rahmens habe ich dann meine Motive angebracht und dahinter ein Stück Watercolor-Cardstock gesetzt. Auf das habe ich die Blume links gestempelt und mit Distress Inks eher zart coloriert. Den Bereich rund um die Blume habe ich mit Salvaged Patina, gemischt mit Wasser, eingefärbt. Für die Blume habe ich Spun Sugar, Wild Honey und Mowed Lawn verwendet und dann einige Details mit einem Polychromo nachgezeichnet. Über alles habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe gespritzt. 

 

I put a scalloped oval, again from the Capsule series by TheGreetery, around the cut out in the pink cardstock. Inside the frame I placed my images and put a piece of watercolor cardstock behind it. Onto the watercolor cardstock I have stamped the flower on the left and colored it quite softly with Distress Inks. The area around the flower I colored with Salvaged Patina, mixed with water. For the flower I used Spun Sugar, Mowed Lawn and Wild Honey and then added a few details with Polychromos. Over everything I splattered some white acrylic paint.

 

 Die beiden Blumen im Vordergrund habe ich extra gestempelt, nach dem Colorieren ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt. Alle Blumen sind von StudioLight und mit NoLine Ink von InkOn3 gestempelt. 

Die beiden Blumen hier habe ich mit Copics coloriert und dann wieder Polychromos für die Details verwendet. 

Auf die Blume rechts  habe ich dann noch eine der Regency Bows von TheGreetery geklebt. Sie ist mit Polychromos leicht schattiert, die Enden habe ich etwas gebogen, so dass eines Hinter der mittleren Blume im Wind zu wehen scheint. 

 

The two flowers in the foreground I stamped seperately, cut them out after coloring them in and then glued them on. All the flowers are by StudioLlight and stamped with NoLine Ink by InkOn3. 

I colored those two flowers with Copics and then used Polychromos again for the details.

I added one of the Regency Bows by  TheGreetery onto the stem of the flower on the right. I shaded it lightly with Polchychromos and bent the long ends a bit so one of them seems to move in the wind behind the flower in the center.

 

 Mein Text befindet sich auf einer Lage Acetate, die ich zwischen pinkfarbenem und Watercolor Cardstock eingefasst habe. Das Celebrate darauf ist aus einem Stempelset von TheStampMarket und weiß auf die Folie embosst. Das kleine "it's your birthday" darunter ist aus dem Itty Bitty Birthday Stempelset von MFT und weiß auf dunkler pinkfarbenen Cardstock embosst. 

Mit einem weißen Gelstift habe ich dann einen Rahmen auf die Folie und auch auf den gewellten Rahmen aufgemalt. 

 

My text is actually put onto a layer of acetate, that I put between the pink and the watercolor cardstock. The celebrate is from a stamp set by TheStampMarket and white heat embossed onto the acetate. The small "it's your birthday" is from Itty Bitty Birthday by MFT and white heat embossed onto dark pink cardstock.  

I used a white gel pen to draw a frame onto the acetate and also the scalloped  oval frame.

 

 Zwischen dem Watercolor Cardstock und der Folie sowie der Folie und dem pinkfarbenen Cardstock habe ich jeweils dickes 3D Tape gesetzt, damit die Karte eine schöne Tiefe bekommt. Auch die Blumen sind dann teilweise mit 3D Tape hinterlegt. 

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Herzen sowie kleine weiße Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put thick foam tape between the watercolor cardstock and the acetate and also the acetate and the pink cardstock. Then I also backed some areas of the flowers with it.

I added some white clay hearts and a few small white pearls as decoration and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Japanisch inspiriert

Mit meiner heutigen Karte machen wir eine Reise nach Japan. Ich hatte ein paar Produkte aus der Good Fortune Collection von ScrappyTails, die ich noch nicht benutzt hatte. Und jetzt war es an der Zeit.

With today's card we are going on a trip to Japan. I had a few items from the Good Fortune Collection by ScrappyTails that I hadn't used yet. It was about time!

 

Ich wollte mit meiner Karte ein wenig den Look nachahmen, den die typischen japanischen Tuschezeichnungen haben. Deswegen habe ich mich für Grau- und Röttöne entschieden und alle aus weißem Cardstock gestanzten Elemente mit Distress Re-Inkers "coloriert". Dabei habe ich, ehrlich gesagt, die Farbe eher aufgetupft und mit Wasser verlaufen lassen, dann eine weitere Lage aufgetragen usw., bis ich zufrieden war.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Basis des Japanese Cherry Blossom Torii Gate AddOn Sets per Partial Diecutting so ausgestanzt, dass nur der See, nicht aber der Rahmen rundum in ein Stück weißes Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt wird. 

 

With this card I wanted  to kind of mimic the look those traditional japanese ink drawings have. That's why I went with greys and reds and "colored" all the elements, that I had cut from white watercolor paper, with Distress Re-Inkers. Honestly, I just dabbed on some color, let it run around by adding water, then added another layer of ink until I was happy with the look. 

For the background I used the base  from the Japanese Cherry Blossom Torii Gate AddOn set and did some partial die cutting to only have the details, but not the frame, cut from/into a piece of watercolor cardstock.  

 

Die Details wie Land, Gras und Seerosenblätter habe ich ebenfalls aus Waterolor Cardstock gestanzt und dann eingefärbt. Auf der kompletten Karte kamen Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke, Pumice Stone und Black Soot zum Einsatz. Später habev ich dann auch noch ein wenig Salvaged Patina auf Land und vor allem Wasser aufgetragen, es sah sonst zu "schlammig" aus. Die Wasserlinie habe ich einfach frei Hand beim Colorieren gemalt - man sieht das daran, dass sie ein wenig schief geraten ist. Aber das stört mich nicht.

Im Wasser steht ein Kranich aus Japanese Cherry Blossom Mountain and Crane AddOn, außerdem schwimmen zwei kleine Koi aus Waterfall Koi Pond Trifold im Wasser. 

Für den Kranich  habe ich einen der Schlitze im Wasser mit der Schere ein wenig verlängert, um in an der Stelle, an der ich ihn haben wollte, in den Hintergrund stecken zu können.

 

I also die cut the details like patches of land, grass and waterlilly pads from watercolor cardstock again and colored  them in. On the whole card I used Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke, Pumice Stone and Black Soot. Later  I also dabbed a bit of Salvaged Patina onto the patches of land and mostly the water - it looked too "muddy" otherwise. When coloring the water I drew the water line free hand - you can tell that from the fact that it is a bit crooked. But it doesn't bother me.

There's a crane from Japanese Cherry Blossom Mountain and Crane AddOn standing in the water and two koi fish from Waterfall Koi Pond Trifold are swimming around him.

I used my scissors to cut one of the waterline slits in the background a bit longer to be able to tuck the crane through it, right where I wanted it to be. 

 

 Ich habe mit einem Bleistift einen Kreis oberhalb der Wasserlinie skizziert und ihn mit Tattered Rose gefüllt. Den Himmel drumherum habe ich dann mit Tattered Rose und Abandoned Coral eingefärbt. Auf den Himmel habe ich dann zuerst Wassertropfen  und anschließend weiße Acrylfarbe  aufgespritzt. 

In den Himmel ragen die Pagode aus Waterfall Koi Pond Side Wings Trifold AddOn sowie auf  der rechten Seite der Bonsai aus dem Set Bonsai Tree. Den musste  ich seitlich und oben entlang des Hintergrunds abschneiden, denn er war einfach zu groß. 

Auf das Wasser habe ich dann auch noch einige roten Sonnenreflektionen aufgemalt. 

 

I drew a soft circle with a pencil onto the area above the waterline and filled it with Tattered Rose. Then I inked the sky around  it with Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral. Onto the sky I first splattered some droplets of water, then added splatter of white acrylic paint. 

There's the pagode from Waterfall Koi Pond Side Wings Trifold AddOn and on the right side the tree from Bonsai Tree place onto  the little patcheds of land. I had to cut off the side and top of the tree because it was too large for my card.

I then added some red sun reflections to the water, too.  

 

Auf dem Wasser habe ich mit einem klaren Glitter-Gelstift einige Reflektionen aufgemalt, die übrigen Highlights sind  mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Außerdem hat die komplette Karte einen leichten Schimmer. Ich habe mit irgendeinem der Pinsel, die ich hier zum Einsatz kamen, mal Schimmer-Farbe vermalt und egal wie oft und gründlich ich den Pinsel auswasche, es ist immer noch jede Menge im Pinsel gefangen. Und der wird dann beim Colorieren abgegeben. Aber mir gefällt der Look prima zu der Szene. 

Nach  dem Zusammenkleben - ganz ohne 3D Tape! - habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used a clear glitter gel pen to add some reflections to the water, the highlights I made with a white gel pen. And the whole card has a  a shimmer to it. Quite some time ago I used one of the pencils with shimmer paint and no matter how often and thoroughly I wash it, there's still some shimmer left in the pencil. And when I use it for  coloring, everything gets a hint of shimmer. But I really like that with my scene here.

After putting the card togehter - not adding any foam tape at all! - I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Heute habe ich gleich noch eine Unterwasser-Karte für Euch. Und wieder kam dafür einiges aus dem Mai-Release von WaffleFlower zum Einsatz. 

 

Hello everyone!

Today I have another underwater card for you. And again I used a few products from the may release by WaffleFlower on it.

 

Das U-Boot war ein Must Have für mich und das muss natürlich am Meeresgrund entlang gleiten. 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus einem Stück hellblauen Cardstocks. Mit Distress Ink Blueprint Sketch und ein wenig Chipped Sapphire und einer der Under the Sea Background Stencils habe ich die Wellen im Hintergrund aufgewischt. Die Stencil ist so gestaltet, dass man sie frei auf dem Cardstock nach oben und unten bewegen kann und da ich eine hochkantige Karte gemacht habe, habe ich die eine Seite weiter oben, die andere weiter unten aufgewischt. Dann habe ich ein wenig Wasser auf die Farben gespritzt.

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann noch ein paar Fischschwärme sowie einige Quallen mit Blueprint Sketch aufgestempelt.  

 

The submarine was a must have to me and of course it has to float deep down in the ocean. 

The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock. I added the waves with Distress Ink Blueprint Sketch and  a bit of Chipped Sapphire and one of the stencils from Under the Sea Background. The stencil is designed so you can move it up and down freely. Since I made a portrait style card I stenciled the one side edge to the top and the other one a bit further down. Then I added some fine water droplets to the ink.

After the water had dried I stamped some school of fish and a few jellyfish onto the background using Blueprint Sketch.  

 

 Hier seht Ihr das U-Boot genauer. Und auch wenn ich etwas gedecktere Farben verwendet habe, natürlich musste es gelb werden! 

Ich habe die Teile aus farbigem Carstock gestanzt, für die Metall-Elemente habe ich matt-silbernen Metallic-Cardstock benutzt. Hinter die Fenster habe ich erst eine Lage Folie und dann hellblauen Cardstock gesetzt. Und natürlich musste ein Passagier ins U-Boot. Und so grüßt hier nun ein kleiner Krebs fröhlich winkend seine Freunde im Meer. Ich hatte keinen Krebs, der klein genug gewesen wäre, um hinter das Fenster zu passen. Also habe ich einfach einen selbst gezeichnet. 

Das U-Boot wird von einigen Fischen begleitet. Sie sind aus dem Set Postage Collage Fish und jeweils aus Teilen aus hell- und dunkelgelbem sowie hellgrünem Cardstock zusammengesetzt. Da ich alle Fische in die selbe Richtung wie das U-Boot schwimmen lassen wollte, habe ich den Kugelfisch einfach mit der "unschönen" Seite nach oben gedreht. 

 

 Here you can see the submarine better. And even if I used some more muted colors, of course it had to be yellow!

I die cut the pieces from colored cardstock, for the metall elements I used matte silver metallic cardstock. Behind the windows I first glued a layer of acetate, then some light blue cardstock. And of course there had to be a passenger in the submarine. And that's why a little crab is happily waving at his friends out in the ocean. I didn't have a crab image small enough to fit behind the window so I drew a simple one myself. 

The sumbarine is accompanied by some fish. These are from Postage Collage Fish and each put together from pieces cut from light and dark yellow and light green cardstock. I wanted all fish to swim in the same direction as the submarine so with the puffer fish I turned the "ugly" side up.

 

 Am unteren Ende der Karte habe ich dann den Meeresboden gestaltet. Für die Sandlagen habe ich mit einem Bleistift die Kanten desselben Stencils, den ich auch für die Wellen verwendet habe, auf hellgelben Cardstock übertragen und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy und weiße Acrylfarbe für ein wenig Textur aufgespritzt. 

Die Pflanzen, die hier wachsen, sind aus dem Set Under the Sea. Ich habe sie wieder aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Forest Moss, Mowed Lawn sowie Brushed Corduroy gewischt. Nach dem Aufkleben der Pflanzen habe ich noch einige Seesterne aus dem selben Set aus hellgelbem und hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt und auf dem Sand verteilt.

 

At the bottom of the card I created a sandy ground. For the sand layers I used the same stencil that I had used to ink the waves onto the blue cardstock and traced the edges of two of those waves onto light yellow cardstock with a pencil. Then I cut them out with my scissors and added fine splatteres of Brushed Corduroy and white acrylic paint. 

The plants, that are growing down here, are from Under the Sea. Again I cut them from colored cardstock and shaded them with Distress Ink Forest Moss, Mowed Lawn and some Brushed Corduroy. After adhering the  plants I added some star fish from the same set, cut from light yellow and light blue cardstock, to the sand. 

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich meinen Text direkt  auf  den Hintergrund gestempelt. Er ist aus dem Set Pool Party von LawnFawn, das Hi habe ich zusammengesetzt, da es nur ein hello im Set gab, das aber zu groß war. Der Text ist weiß embosst. 

 

Along the top edge of the card I added my text. It's from Pool Party by LawnFawn, the hi I put together because there only was a hello in the set, but it was too large for the space I had. I white heat embossed the text directly onto the background.

 

 Ich habe die einzelnen Lagen mit 3D Tape zusammengeklebt und dann klar-irisierende Pailetten als Blasen überall auf der Karte verteilt. Die Seesterne habe ich dann noch ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert und zum Schluss alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used foam tape to put the scene together and then glued some clear iridescent sequins all over the card as bubbles. I also applied some Stickles onto the star fish. Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.
