VETO!

 

Hallo Ihr  Lieben!

Letztes Wochenende war ich mit einer Freundin auf dem Stempelmekka. Das bedeutet, dass ich nicht dazu gekommen bin, eine Karte für die letzte Craft Roulette Folge zu machen. 

Wer die Show kennt, weiß, dass die Mitglieder jede Woche die Möglichkeit haben, in jeder Kategorie ein Parameter per Veto abzuwählen. Wird das durch das Rad vorgegeben, so wird erneut gedreht. Nun, seitdem ich die Show schaue - und mitmache - reizt es mich, eine Karte nach den Parametern zu machen, die  herausgewählt wurden. Und wenn das nicht der perfekte Zeitpunkt ist, dann weiß ich auch nicht. Die abgewählten Parameter waren:

Last weekend I was on a girls trip to a stamp fair here in Germany. And that meant, that I didn't get a chance to make a card for the latest Craft Roulette episode.  

If you know the show, then you also know, that the members each week get a chance to veto off one parameter per category. If the wheel picks it, the wheel gets spun again. Well, since watching the show - and taking part in it - I think how fun it would be to make a card using the parameters that got vetoed off. And if now isn't the right moment, then when is? The vetoed off parameters were:

element: sleep(s)(ing)

random: pennants. 

 

Ich habe eine Babykarte gemacht.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück hellblauen Cardstocks mit silbernen Sternen. Der ist natürlich so zugeschnitten, dass er auf eine Slimline Card passt. 

Ich habe die Ränder des Cardstocks ein wenig dunkler gewischt und dann mit dem In Stitches Alphabet von The Stamp Market die Buchstaben für das  Wort BOY aus dem Cardstock herausgestanzt. Das Alphabet  ist schön groß und außerdem so gestaltet, dass um die Ausstanzung herum noch ein gestitchter Rand eingestanzt wird. Die Ausstanzungen habe ich dann mit dunkelbraunem Cardstock mit kleinen Herzen hinterlegt. 

 

I made a baby card.

The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock with silver stars printed on it. Of course I cut it to fit a slimline card.

I darkened the edges of the cardstock a bit and then used the In Stitches Alphabet by The Stamp Market to cut the letters for the word BOY out of the cardstock. The alphabet is pretty large and also is made so a stitched outline is cut into the cardstock as well. I backed the cut out areas with some dark brown cardstock with white hearts.

 

Neben den Buchstaben habe ich dann die Deko der Karte angebracht.

Quer über das B habe ich eine Girlande gehängt. Die ist mit der Fishtail Banner Borders Stanze von LawnFawn gemacht. Die Girlande  selbst habe ich aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt, die kleinen Fähnchen dann aus weiß, hellblau und braun gestreiftem Designpapier. Auf eines der kleinen Fähnchen habe ich ein It 's  a aufgeklebt. Das ist aus dem Set Itty Bitty Baby von MFT und weiß auf dunkelbraunen Cardstock embosst.

Außerdem befinden sich hier einige Motive - neben dem B ein kleines Häschen, das auf einer Wolke schläft sowie einige kleine Wölkchen. Alle Motive auf der Karte sind aus dem Set Sprinkling You With Love und per NoLine Coloring coloriert. Dafür habe  ich Alkoholmarker verwendet und einige Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt. 

 

Next to the letters I placed the decorations for this card.

Across the B I 've  hung up a banner. It's made using the Fishtail Banner Borders by LawnFawn. I cut it from dark brown cardstock and then glued the individual banners, cut from blue white and brown striped paper, on top. Onto one of the little banners I adhered a It's a. It's from Itty Bitty Baby by MFT and white heat embossed onto dark brown cardstock.

There are also some images up there - next to the B I placed a little bunny sleeping on a cloud and a few indivicual clouds. All the images on this card are from Sprinkling You With Love by MFT. I did some no line coloring with alcohol markers and added some details with Polychromos.

 

Neben dem O habe ich einen weiteren Hasen auf einer Wolke angeklebt, dieser ist wach. Außerdem befindet sich hier eine weitere kleine Wolke.

Quer über den unteren Teil des O habe ich dann ein welcome aufgeklebt, das Teil meines Textes ist. Es ist mit einer Stanze von Altenew aus braunem und weißem Cardstock gestanzt, dann habe ich beide Stanzteile leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt.

 Next to the O I glued on another bunny, this one is awake, and another small cloud. 

Across  the bottom of the O I added a die cut welcome, that's part of my text. I die cut it using a die by Altenew. I cut it from brown and white cardstock and stacked them a bit offset. 

  

 Und neben dem Y befinden sich zwei weitere Wolken - auf einer schläft ein kleiner Bär. Da  er das größte Motiv ist, passte er perfekt neben den schmalen unteren Teil des Y. 

Außerdem habe ich mit weiteren Stempeln aus dem Itty Bitty Baby Set noch "to the world" und "little one" weiß auf braunen Cardstock embosst. Die beiden Texte habe ich ausgeschnitten und unter dem Welcome auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

Und bevor Ihr fragt - der gelbe Fleck war natürlich nicht so gewollt. Ich hatte irgendwie gelbe Tinte an den Finger gebracht und damit den Cardstock verschmiert - natürlich kurz bevor die Karte fertig war. Nun ist das eben so. Die Karte  ist ja nur zum Spaß entstanden. 

 

And next to the Y there are two more clouds - on one of them there's a little sleeping bear. Since this is the largest image it fit perfectly next to the thin bottom of the Y.

I also used two more texts from Itty Bitty Baby to white heat emboss "to the world" and "little one" onto brown cardstock. I cut these texts out and glued them under the welcome onto the background.

And before  you ask: of course that yellow spot wasn't intended. I somehow had gotten yellow ink on my finger and smudges it onto the cardstock - of course right before finishing the card. Well, that's how it is, and I made the card just for fun, so I can live with it.

 

 Das Banner und die Motive habe ich jeweils mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko  habe ich einige weiße Herzen sowie kleine klare  Glitezrsteine  auf der Karte verteilt und mit einem weißen Gelstift  einen Rahmen aufgemalt. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Slimline Rohling geklebt.

 

I  used foam tape to adhere  the  images  and  the banner.

As  decoration I added some white clay  hearts and some small  clear rhinestones and also drew on a frame with a white gel pen. Then I glued the card panel onto a white slimline card base.

Farbe trifft Stempel #3

 Das Thema für die 3. Farbe trifft Stempel Challenge 2026 lautet "Wasser". Das könnt Ihr wieder sehr weitläufig auslegen - Meer, unter Wasser, Wasserfälle, Fluss, Regen... Es gibt so viele Möglichkeiten. Ich habe mich  für eine Unterwasserszene entschieden, habe aber farblich so richtig in die Vollen gegriffen.

The theme of the 3rd Farbe trifft Stempel Challenge 2026 is "water". Of course there are many ways to include water on your cards, agai - ocean, under water, waterfalls, rivers, rain... There are so many possibilities. I decided to do an underwater scene but went really bright and colorful.

 

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück sehr hellen türkisfarbenen Cardstocks. Auf den habe ich erst den Watercolor Wash Free Form Stencil von MFT aufgelegt und ihn ganz leicht mit Distress Ink Speckled  Egg gewischt. Dann habe ich das Under the Sea Stencilset von WaffleFlower darüber gelegt und damit und Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner die weiteren Lagen meiner Unterwasserwelt aufgetragen. 

Mit einem Pinsel habe ich dann auf die Tinte einige Wassertropfen aufgetupft und so die Blubberblasen ins Wasser eingefügt. Mit einem feinen weißen Gelstift habe ich jeweils noch eine Linie aufgemalt, das verstärkt den Blaseneffekt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem grauen Fineliner an den linken Seiten der Wasserpflanzen eine feine Linie aufgemalt.  

 

The background is made from a piece of very light aqua colored cardstock. I placed the Watercolor Wash Free Form  stencil by MFT onto it and then inked it lightly with Distress Ink Speckled Egg. Then I placed the Under the Sea Stencils by WaffleFlower over the Watercolor Wash stencil and used Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner to add the other layers for my underwater world. 

Using a brush I put down some droplets of water onto the ink to create the bubbles in the water. I used a fine white gel pen and drew a thin line, that makes the bubbles more realistic. I also drew a thin line with a grey fineliner on the left side of the underwater plants.

 

 

 Hauptakteur auf meiner Karte ist dieses süße Seepferdchen von Memories 4 You. Das schaut so wunderbar glücklich und auch erwartungsvoll, bestimmt hat es noch ein großes Abenteuer für den Tag geplant. 

Ich habe das Motiv mit Alcoholmarkern und Polychromos coloriert und einige Bereiche später mit Stickles beglittert. Ich war ein wenig unentschlossen, ob ich eher kühle oder warme Farben verwenden sollte, bin aber froh, mich für die warmen Farben entschieden zu haben. Die leuchten auf dem blauen Hintergrund so toll. 

 

 The main character on my card is this cute seahorse by Memories 4 You. It looks so happy and kind of expectant - I think it has planned a special adventure for this day.

I colored the image with alcohol markers and Polychromos and added Stickles to a few areas later. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to color it in a warm or cool color  palette  and  am really happy that I went with the warm ones. They really stick out brightly from the blue background.

 

Um mit der Deko farblich in dieser Sparte zu bleiben, habe ich auch die Unterwasserpflanzen anders  als vielleicht erwartet coloriert. Die sind mit Stanzen aus den Sets Under the Sea und Sea Shells von WaffleFlower sowie Stitched Seashells von LawnFawn gemacht. Aus deren Mermaid for You Set ist auch der große gestempelte Felsen. 

 

To stay in this color palette I also did the underwater plants differently than you might expect. I used dies from Under the sea and Sea Shells by WaffleFlower and Stitched Seashells by LawnFawn. From their Mermaid for You is also the large stamped rock. 

 

 Dann brauchte ich noch einen Text für meine Karte und hatte so gar keine Idee, was hier passen könnte. Nach ziemlich langem Suchen in meinen Stempeln habe ich dann in einem Stempelset von SU, das eine Freundin bei mir deponiert hatte, diesen Text gefunden und ihn mit Memento Teal Zeal direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

 

Then my card needed a text and I really had no idea what I wanted to use. After going through my stash for a really long time I found this text in a stamp set by SU a friend had left at my house. I stamped it with Memento Teal Zeal directly onto the background.

 

 Da der Hintergrund aufgestencilt ist, ist er flach. Ich habe dann die Motive mit dünnem und dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, damit die Karte - nicht nur optisch - etwas Tiefe bekommt.

Als Deko habe ich einige kleine weiße Herzen aufgeklebt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

Since the background is stenciled it is completly flat. I used thin and thick foam tape to adhere the images to give the card some depth that is not just visual.

I added some small white clay hearts as decoration and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

Die heutige Karte ist schon vor einiger Zeit entstanden, ich komme aber erst jetzt dazu, sie Euch zu zeigen. Meine Bestellung von TheGreetery war nämlich angekommen und da musste ich unbedingt nochmal eine Karte mit den Rolling Hills machen. Allerdings konnte ich mich nicht so recht  entscheiden, ob meine Landschaft in der Toskana oder in the Provence sein soll. Und so trifft nun Italien auf Frankreich.

I made today's card some time ago but didn't have time to share it with you. My order from TheGreetery had arrived and I just had to make another card with the Rolling Hills die. But I just couldn't decide if I wanted those to be in Tuscany or in Provence. And so Italy is  meeting France on my card.

 

In dem neuen Release gab es eine Embossingfolder, der zur Rolling Hills Stanze passt. Okay, nicht ganz - er ist nicht so breit wie die kompletten Hügel, da die  ja auch auf eine querformatige Karte passt. Aber das sieht man so gut wie nicht. Ich habe mit dem Embossingfolder ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks embosst, den Himmel zart mit Distress Ink Tumbled Glass gewischt und dann ein weißes Pigment-Stempelkissen auf die Wolken gedrückt, nur um sie ein klein wenig mehr hervorzuheben. 

 

In this new release there is an embossing folder, that goes with the Rolling Hills die.  Well, nearly - it's not as wide as the die since that also fits a landscape oriented card. But you can hardly tell that on my card. I dry embossed a piece of light blue cardstock with it and lightly shaded the sky with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. Then I pressed a white pigment ink pad onto the clouds, just to bring them out a bit more.

 

 Für den unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich die Rolling Hills ausgestanzt - einmal aus weißem und einmal aus gelbem Cardstock. Dann habe ich die Teile erst mit dem Embossingfolder geprägt und dann die passenden Stencils verwendet und die Hügel gewischt. Bei dem gelben Stück habe ich einfach die schmalen Streifen mit einem dunkleren Gelbton eingefärbt und kleine Punkte mit einem  hellbraunen Fineliner aufgetragen, um dem Feld etwas Struktur zu geben. 

Bei dem weißen Stanzteil habe ich den hintersten Hügel weggeschnitten und dann alles grün und lila gewischt. Es sollte so aussehen wie ein Lavendelfeld. Um den Look hervorzuheben habe ich lilafarbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Außerdem habe ich mit dem Rolling Hills Bella Terra Addition Stempelset und den dazugehörigen Stanzen zwei Reihen Blumen gestaltet. Den weißen Cardstock, auf den ich alles gestempelt habe,  habe ich nach dem Stempeln etwas grün und lila gewischt. Für alle Lavendelfelder und die  Blumen habe ich Distress Ink Wilted Violett, Villaoinous Postion, Mowed Lawn und Rustic Wilderness verwendet. 

Der süße Cinquecento mitsamt Sonnenschirm ist von Charlie und Paulchen aus deren Estate Italiana Kollektion. Ich fand, die beiden Reihen passen einfach super zusammen. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert. Dann habe ich ihn zwischen den Hügeln aufgeklebt. Ja, so ein Cinquecento kann auch Offroad... ;)

Ganz unten links habe ich dann noch meinen Text aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Bella Terra Set weiß auf lilafarbenen Cardstock embosst und mit der passenden Stanze ausgestanzt. 

 

For the bottom of my card I die cut the Rolling Hills - once from yellow and once from white cardstock. Then I put them in the embossingfolder, ran it through my Big Shot and then used the matching stencil set to ink the hills. On the yellow part I just inked the thin stripes and used a light brown fineliner to add somme tiny dots to the strips, giving the field some structure. 

I cut off the hill in the very back from the white piece and inked everything in purple and green. I wanted it to look like a lavender field. To make this look a bit more realistic I splattered purple metallic watercolor onto those hills. 

I also created some rows of flowers using the Rolling Hills Bella Terra Additions set. After I had done the  stamping I inked the cardstock around the stamped flowers purple and green, just to not have the white edges in my scene. For the lavender fields and the flowers I used Distress Ink Wilted Violett, Villaoinous Potion, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness. 

The cute car - a Fiat Cinquecento - is by  Charlie  and Paulchen, from their Estate Italiana series. I just thought those two  lines work together perfectly. I die  cut it from white cardstock and colored it with alcohol markers. Then I glued it between the lavender fields. And yes, this Cinquecento also can go off road.... ;)

In the bottom left I added my text. I white heat embossed one from the Bella Terra set onto a piece of dark purple cardstock, then cut it out with the matching die. 

 

 Hinten  auf dem gelben Hügel steht  dann ein schönes altes  Landhaus. Das ist mit dem Countryside Villa Mini Stanzenset gemacht. Ich habe auf das Haus einige Mauersteine aufgemalt. Außerdem habe  ich die kleinen Blumen aus dem Market Place Celebration Street Set vor die Fenster geklebt. Ich habe jeweils ein grünes und ein lilafarbenes  Stanzteil gedreht aufeinander geklebt.

Rund um das Haus stehen Zypressen, ebenfalls aus dem Countryside Villa  Mini Set. Sie sind  aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Forest Moss im untere Bereich ein wenig schattiert. 

Und auch wenn es mir schwerfiel, habe ich hier bewusst auf weiße Highlights verzichtet - und der Look gefällt mir echt gut. 

 

In the back, on top of those yellow hills, there's an old villa, made with the Countryside Villa Mini die set. I drew some bricks onto the house and put the small flowers from Market Place Celebration Street in front of the windows. For each flower cluster I stacked a purple and a green diecut, turning one of them upside down. 

Around the house there are some tall cypresses, also  from the Countryside Villa Mini set. I die cut them from dark green cardstock and shaded the bottom with a bit of Forest Moss. 

And even if it was kind of hard for me - I didn't add any  white highlights to the house or trees. And I really  like  the look.

 

 Durch das Embossen und Layern hat die Karte schon einiges and Dimension und Dicke. Ich habe nur den Text mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich drei kleine weiße Herzen aufgeklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles  auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

With the embossing and layering this card has already some dimension. I only backed the text with thin foam tape. As decoration I added three white clay  hearts.

Then I glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Farbe trifft Stempel 2026 #2

Heute startet die zweite Farbe Trifft Stempel 2026 Challenge. Für die nächsten Tage zeigt uns Eure Werke zum Thema "leibliches Wohl".

Nun mag man im ersten Moment bei diesem Thema an Essen denken - auf meiner Karte befindet sich jedoch ein Cocktail. Trinken ist ja genauso wichtig wie essen. Und ganz ehrlich, nach so einem Cocktail bin ich so satt wie  nach einer vollen Mahlzeit...

Today starts the second Farbe Trifft Stempel 2026 Challenge. For those next few days, share with us your creations about food and refreshments. 

Well, most of you might think of food first - on my card I used the image of a cocktail. Hydration is as important as the intake of food. And honestly, after such a cocktail I am full like I had a full meal. 

 

 Für den Hintergrund habe ich es mir hier leicht gemacht  und ein Stück hellgraues Designpapier mit Holzmuster verwendet. Erst wollte ich es ein wenig wischen, aber das hätte den leichten Look, der mir für die Karte vorschwebte, zerstört. 

 

For the background I went the easy way here and used a piece of light grey patterned paper with a woodgrain print. I thought about inking the edges but that would have destroyed the light-hearted look I had in mind for that card.

 

 Hauptelement  auf meiner Karte ist dieser lecker aussehende Cocktail, serviert in einer Kokosnuss. Das Motiv ist aus dem Set Cocktail von Memories4You. Ich habe es mit Alcoholmarkern coloriert und Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift hinzugefügt. Dann habe ich alles mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und dabei um das mittlere Blatt sowie die Blüte darunter entlang der gestempelten Linien entlang geschnitten. So konnte ich diese Teile später mit etwas 3D Tape nach oben bringen. 

Hinter den Cocktail habe ich dann noch ein Schild gesteckt, auf dem das Wort Cocktails steht. Das Schild ist aus dem Set Wegweiser von Create a Smile. Ich habe die Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ein Holzmuster aufgemalt. Dabei habe ich ein klein wenig helles türkis mit eingearbeitet, so dass es aussieht wie verwittert. Das Wort Cocktail, ebenfalls aus dem Set von Memories4You, habe ich mit brauner Tinte aufgestempelt und einen Schatten mit braunen Markern sowie Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt, so dass es wirkt, als hätte jemand das Wort ins Holz gebrannt. 

 

Main element of my card is this yummy cocktail, served in a coco nut. The image is from the set Cocktail by Memories4You. I colored it with alcohol markers and added highlights with a white gel pen. Then I cut it out with my scissors, cutting also along the outlines of the leaf in the center and the flower underneath. This way I was able to raise these pieces just a bit with a bit of foam tape later.

Behind the drink I tucked a sign with the word cocktail written on it. The sign is from Wegweiser by Create a Smile. I die cut it from white cardstock and added a wood pattern to it. I mixed in a hint of light aqua to make it look like weathered. The word cocktail, that is from the same set by Memories 4 You, I stamped on with brown ink and added a shadow with marker and highlights with a white gel pen. Now it looks like someone burned the word into the wood. 

 

 

Meinen Text habe ich auf einem Banner untergebracht. Das habe ich aus helltürkisfarbigem Cardstock, passend zur Coloration unter dem Cocktail, mit einer Stanze von MFT ausgestanzt und die Ränder mit einem Sanding Block etwas aufgehellt. Ebenfalls von MFT ist das Wort cheers, das ich darauf geklebt habe. Es besteht aus einer schwarzen und einer dunkeltürkis farbenen Lage. 

 

My text I glued to a banner. I die cut that from light aqua cardstock, matching the aqua coloring under the cocktail, using a die by MFT. Then I used a sanding block to lighten the edges. Also by MFT is the word cheers, that I glued onto the banner. I created that from a black and a dark turquoise die cut.

 

 Mit der Palmblätter-Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen habe ich dann noch zwei Palmwedel ausgestanzt und oben hinter den Cocktail gesetzt. Auch die besteht aus je einer schwarzen und einer grünen Lage, die ich leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt habe.

Um alles habe ich dann noch einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, gesetzt.

 

Using the Palmblätter die by Charlie und Paulchen I die cut two palm leaves and put those at the top edge of the card and behind the cocktail. Again I created those by slightly offset stacking a black and a dark green layer.

I then put a frame around the whole scene, die cutting it from black cardstock using one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile.

 

 Wie schon erwähnt, habe ich dann 3D Tape zum Zusammensetzen der Karte verwendet. Das Schild ist mit dünnem, der Cocktail mit dickem und das Banner mit dem Text mit beiden aufeinander geklebten Tapes hinterlegt.

Als Deko habe ich zwei hellrosa Herzen sowie einige türkisfarbene Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

As mentioned already did I use foam tape to put the scene together. The sign is backed with thin, the cocktail with thick and the banner with both kinds of foam tape stacked. 

I added two light pink clay hearts and some turquoise Enamel Dots as decoration, then glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Halloween-Verpackung mit Shaker

Jetzt ist schon September, es wird herbstlicher und das bedeutet auch, dass Halloween näher rückt. Als ersten September-Beitrag für das Halloweeners Team von WhimsyStamps habe ich mal keine Karte, sondern eine Verpackung für Süßes - oder auch Saures - gewerkelt.

It's september already, it's getting more fall-ish outside and that also means, that Halloween is coming closer. For my first september creation for the Halloweeners team by WhimsyStamps I didn't make a card but a little box to put in some candy - sweet or sour. 

 

Eigentlich wollte ich erst nur den Shaker, der die Box ziert, machen. Aber irgendwie fehlte dem was. Also habe ich von hinten eine kleine, oben offene Box angeklebt. In die habe ich dann eine Zellophan-Tüte gesteckt. Die ist momentan noch leer, ich habe noch keine Halloween-Süßigkeiten zu Hause. Aber vor dem Verschenken wird sie natürlich gefüllt. Verschlossen habe ich die Tüte mit einer schwarzen und einer orangefarbenen Schleife.

 

Originally I had planned to only make the shaker, that's the front of the box. But something was missing. So I glued a little box, open at the top, behind the shaker. Into it I've put a clear bag. It's empty at the moment, I don't have any Halloween candy at home yet, but of course it will be filled before I hand it out. I used an orange and a black bow to tie the bag closed.

 

 Die Front/der Shaker besteht aus einem großen Candy Corn. Der ist mit der Primitive Candy Corn Stanze gemacht. Ich habe die Schattenlage einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und dann den Rahmen mit der Schattenlagen und der Einsatz-Stanze ebenfalls aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht. Die inneren Teile habe ich aus weißem, orangefarbenem und gelbem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Die inneren Teile habe ich mit Distress Ink Hickory Smoke, Fossilized Amber und Rusty Hinge ein wenig gewischt und dann mit schwarzer Acrylfarbe bespritzt. Außerdem habe ich nur die Quernähte mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt. 

Hinter den Rahmen habe ich eine Lage Acetate gesetzt und ihn dann mit dünnem 3D Tape auf die Basis geklebt. Zuvor habe ich den Shaker mit winzigen dunkel-silbernen Sternen sowie orange- und pinkfarbennen Folienkreisen gefüllt. 

 

The front/shaker is a large candy corn. I made it using the Primitive Candy Corn die. I cut the shadow layer from black cardstock, then used the same die and the one for the inner pieces to create a frame, again from black cardstock. The inner pieces I cut from white, orange and yellow cardstock and inked them with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke, Fossilized Amber and Rusty Hinge. I splattered some black acrylic paint onto those inner pieces and also used a black fineliner to only trace the stitches that go across the inner parts.

Behind the frame I glued  a layer of acetate and then used thin foam tape to glue the top onto the base. Before I filled the shaker with tiny darksilver star confetti and some small orange and pink foil dots. 

 

 

Ich habe meinem Candy Corn ein Gesicht verpasst. Dafür habe ich Versamark Tinte durch eines der Gesichter der Halloween Expressions Stencil auf das Acetate getupft und dann schwarzes Embossingpulver aufgestreut. Das von mir verwendete Acetate ist hitzebeständig, so dass sich beim Schmelzen des Pulvers nichts gewellt hat. Und um sicher zu gehen, dass das geschmolzene Pulver auch wirklich hält, habe ich das Gesicht vorsichtshalber auf die innere Seite des Shakers aufembosst. Dort habe ich dann auch zwei kleine hellrosa Kreise, einfach mit ein paar Handstanzen gemacht, als Backen aufgeklebt. Die Highlights in den Augen und auf den Backen habe ich dann mit einem weißen Acrylmarker oben auf die Folie gemalt. 

Und ich fand, dem Candy Corn würde ein Hut gut stehen. Also habe ich eines der Motive aus dem Set Halloween Tricks abgestempelt und nur den Hut der Hexe ausgeschnitten. Den habe ich mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert und ihn oben über die Spitze des Candy Corn gesteckt. 

 

I gave my candy corn a face. I dabbed Versamark ink onto the actetae through one of the faces from the Halloween Expressions stencil, then sprinkled black embossing powder onto it. The acetate I used is heat resistent so the acetate didn't warp when I melted the  powder. And to make sure that the powder really sticks to the acetate and can't get rubbed off I created the face on the backside of the acetate that will be inside my shaker. There I also glued on two small circles from light pink cardstock - I simply used two handheld punches for them - as cheeks. The highlights on the eyes and cheeks I then drew on top of the acetate using a white acrylic marker. 

And I thought, a hat would look nice on this candy  corn with its funny face. So I stamped one of the images from Halloween Tricks and only cut out the witche's hat. I colored it with alcohol markers and put it onto the tip of the candy corn. 

 

 Im unteren Bereich des Shakers - dessen Füllung Ihr hier auf diesem Bild übrigens auch mal verteilt sehen könnt - habe ich etwas Deko und einen kleinen Text angebracht. 

Ich fand, es muss nicht unbedingt Happy Halloween auf dem Shaker stehen. Ein einfaches Yummy tut es auch, oder? Ich habe es mit der Yummy Word Stanze aus pinkfarbenem und schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, die Teile leicht versetzt aufeinander und auf den Shaker geklebt. Pink habe ich übrigens wegen der Shaker-Füllung gewählt. Das war ein fertiger Mix aus orange- und pinkfarbenen Confetti und die Farben voneinander zu trennen war ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Also habe ich stattdessen ein wenig Pink in der Deko verarbeitet.

Ebenfalls pink sind die  beiden Knöpfe, die ich aufgeklebt habe. Zuvor habe  ich etwas schwarzes Twine durch die  Löcher gezogen. 

Außerdem habe ich zwei weiße Narben/Nähte und einen Flicken aus schwarzer Basis und hellorangefarbenem Aufleger mit weißen Punkten angebracht. Alle diese Elemente - und noch ein paar weitere, die ich hier nicht verwendet habe - kommen ebenfalls im Primitive Candy Corn Stanzenset. 

 

In the lower  area of the shaker - by the way you can see the shaker bits scattered around on this picture - I added some decoration and a small text.

I've decided that there doesn't have to be a Happy Halloween on this shaker. A simply Yummy works as fine, right? I made it using the Yummy Word die and cut it from pink and from black cardstock. I stacked the die cuts a bit offset and then glued them onto the shaker. I've picked pink because of the shaker filling. It was a readily done mix from orange and pink confetti and separating the colors  was impossible. So instead I brought some pink into the decorations.

Also pink are the two buttons that I glued onto the candy corn. I put some black twine through the holes in the buttons.

I also added two white seams/scars and a patch, made from a black base and a light orange topper with white dots. All these elements, and a few more that I didn't use here, come with the Primitive Candy Corn die set. 

 

Farbe trifft Stempel 2026 #1

 

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Habt Ihr letztes Jahr im Oktober bei der Farbe Trifft Stempel Challenge mitgemacht?  Nein? Dann  habt Ihr dieses Jahr aufs neue die Möglichkeit - oder auch wieder. Denn auch dieses Jahr gibt es die Mitmach-Challenge rund  ums Stempeln und die Stempel deutscher Hersteller. Und natürlich winken wieder tolle Preise. Dieses Jahr findet die  Challenge schon im September statt. Und der startet heute...

Alle paar Tage gibt es ein neues Thema - insgesamt 9.  Die Themen haben wir bereits Anfang August auf IG bekannt gegeben. Und dort sollt Ihr dann auch Eure Werke zeigen, versehen mit dem Hashtag Farbetrifftstempel2026. 

Heute geht es los und zwar mit dem Thema "heutiger Lieblingsstempel".  

Ich habe ja generell keinen wirklichen Lieblingsstempel und lasse mich oft von meiner Stimmung oder einfach davon, auf was ich Lust habe, leiten. Und heute ist mir definitiv nach Sommer, für den Herbst bin ich irgendwie noch nicht bereit. 

 

Hello everyone!

Did you join the Farbe Trifft Stempel challenge last october? No? Then you have another chance this year - or a chance to join again. Also this year we are doing the challenge that revolves around german stamp brands. And of course we have amazing prizes again. This year we are doing the challenge in september. And that starts today...

Every few days there's a new theme - 9 in total. We already shared the themes over on IG with you the beginning of august. And that's also where we want you to share your cards, adding the hashtag  farbetrifftstempel2026 so we can find them.

We are kicking off the challenge month today with the theme of "today's favorite stamp". 

I really don't have a favorite stamp in general and often times I just go with my mood or simply what I want to use. Today I definately feel like something summer-ish, I am not at all ready for fall.

 

 Hier in Bayern sind ja noch immer Sommerferien und da trudelt die ein oder andere Urlaubspost ein. Eine solche findet sich auch auf meiner Karte. 

Der Hintergrund besteht einfach aus einem Stück hell-türkis farbenen Cardstocks, den ich von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers gewischt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

 

Here in Bavaria the summer break is still going on and so every now and then a postcard from a far away place finds its way to our mailbox. That's what inspired me to make this card.

The background is simply made from a piece of light aqua cardstock, the I inked from the bottom up with a bit of Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock. 

 

 Das Motiv, das ich für meine Karte gewählt habe, ist von Memories 4 You und heißt Umschlag Sommer. Besser kann man Urlaubspost vom Meer nicht in ein Motiv fassen.

Ich habe es mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 Dahinter befindet sich eine große Briefmarke. Die ist von Create a Smile, aus deren Set Postage Rectangle. Mit der selben Stanze und  Partial Diecutting habe ich auch die längliche Briefmarke weiter unten gestanzt. Aus sandfarbenem Cardstock habe ich einen Aufleger geschnitten und leicht mit Distress Oxide Vintage Photo gewischt. So fällt der Übergang vom unteren Ende des Motivs zum Hintergrund quasi gar nicht auf. 

Im oberen Teil der Briefmarke habe ich ein "Post", gestanzt aus hell-türkis farbenem Cardstock, aufgeklebt, das ich mit der Post für Dich Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen gemacht habe. Darunter habe ich mit Versafine Clair Sand Dune - wie passend - eine Entwertungszeichen aufgestempelt. Das - und auch die beiden weiteren auf der Karte - sind aus Postage Collage Stempelsets von WaffleFlower. 

 

The image, that I've chosen for this card, is by Memories 4 You and is named Umschlag Sommer. I think there isn't a better way to sum up "vacation greetings from the sea" in one image.

I colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out with my scissors. 

Behind it there's a big postage die. It's by Create a Smile, from their Postage Rectangle  die set. I used the same die to do some partial die cutting to create the smaller postage stamp under it. I cut a top layer from sand colored cardstock and inked the edges lightly with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo. Now you can hardly see where the colored image meets the background cardstock.

In the upper right corner of the postage stamp I glued on a post word, die cut from light aqua cardstock using the Post für Dich die by Charlie und Paulchen. Under it I stamped a cancellation mark using Versafine Clair Sand Dune - how fitting. That mark and also the other two on my card are from Postage Collage stamp sets by WaffleFlower. 

 

Hier seht Ihr die schmälere Briefmarke, auf der ich den Rest meines Textes untergebracht habe. Er ist aus dem selben Stanzenset von Charlie und Paulchen, dahinter befindet sich ein größeres Entwertungskennzeichen. Übrigens auch darunter auf dem Hintergrund. Den I-Punkt auf dem Dich habe ich durch ein rotes Herz ersetzt, ein zweites befindet sich im O von Post. 

Neben der Briefmarke habe ich noch ein Siegel angebracht. Das habe ich aus rot-braunem Cardstock mit einer Stanze aus dem   DinLang Postage Set von Create a Smile gemacht und so die Farbe des Siegels auf meinem Motiv wieder aufgegriffen. Ich habe den äußeren Rand sowie das Herz aus drei Lagen gestaltet und die Ränder mit einem Sanding Block bearbeitet. 

 

Here you can see the smaller postage stamp, that I glued the rest of my text onto. The text means "mail for you". It's from the same die set by Charlie und Paulchen, behind it I stamped a larger cancellation mark. The same one I stamped under the postage stamp, directly onto the background.  I replaced the dot on the I with a red clay heart, a second one I glued into the O of the word post. 

Next to this stamp I also added a seal. I die cut that from reddish brown cardstock using a die from DinLang Postage by Create a Smile, picking up the color of the stamped seal in the image. I created the outer ring and the heart from three layers of cardstock, then sanded them with a sanding block.

 

 Auch im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich ein Entwertungszeichen aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich zwei Seesterne - von WaffleFlower - und eine Koralle - von Action - aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, rot coloriert und unter die große Briefmarke geschoben.

 

I stamped another cancellation mark onto the upper area of the background. I also die cut two star fish - by WaffleFlower - and a coral - by Action - from white cardstock, colored them red and tucked them under the large postage stamp.

 

Die roten Teile des Motivs und der Deko habe ich ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert. Das Motiv ist mit dünnem, die  kleine Briefmarke samt Siegel mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar klare Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used Stickles to add a bit of glitter onto the red parts of the image and decorations. I backed the image with thin, the smaller postage stamp with the seal with thick foam tape. Then I added some clear sequins as decoration.

As the last step I glued the card panel onto a white note card.

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich schon ein paar Tage lang keine maritime Karte mehr gezeigt hahe - das ändere ich mit diesem Post!

I realized  that I  haven't shared with you an ocean themed card since a few days - I am changing that with this post!

 

Auf dieser Karte habe ich einfach alles an Marken wild durcheinander gemixt - so lange, bis mir die  Szene gefallen hat.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich etwa ab  der Hälfte aufwärts mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean gewischt habe. 

Darauf habe ich dann zwei Lagen Wellen geklebt: eine aus grün-grauem Cardstock, eine aus Vellum. Die oberen Kanten habe ich jeweils mit Wellenstanzen von MFT ausgestanzt. 

Den grünen Cardstock habe ich mit Faded Jeans und Evergreen Bough, die Rückseite des Vellums mit Peacock Feathers eingefärbt, dabei aber jeweils ein Stück der Originalfarbe sichtbar gelassen. 

Zwischen die beiden Wellen-Lagen habe ich dann noch drei Holzboller gesetzt. Die sind aus dem Set Layering Pelicans von ScrappyTails. Ich habe die Boller per Partial Diecutting so ausgestanzt, dass die untere Kante nicht gestanzt wird und alles dann mit der Schere verlängert, so dass die Boller auch wirklich den unteren Rand meiner Karte erreichen. Das Holzmuster habe ich mit Ohuhu Markern und einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.

 

On this card I did a wild mix  of brands - adding stuff until I liked the scene.

The background is made from light blue cardstock, that I inked from about the center upwards with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. 

 On top of that I put two layers of waves: eine cut from grey-ish green cardstock, one cut from vellum. To cut the waves along the top edge I used wave border dies by MFT. 

I inked the grey-ish green cardstock with Faded Jeans and Evergreen Bough, the back of the vellum with Peacock Feathers, making sure a portion of the original color is still visible at the top.

Between the two layers of waves  I put some wooden logs. Those are from the Layering Pelicans by ScrappyTails. I did some partial diecutting to not cut the bottom edge, then cut the rest with my scissors to make sure those reach the bottom of my card. I added the wooden pattern with Ohuhu markers and a white gel pen.

 

Zwischen und auf die beiden Wellenlagen habe ich dann Seegras, gemacht mit Stanzen von WaffleFlower und Action, gesetzt. Das habe ich mit Peeled Paint und Forest Moss gewischt. Außerdem habe ich auf die Cardstock-Lage mit Verafine Clair Very Peri einige Fisch-Silhouetten von WaffleFlower aufgestempelt. Die sieht man nur durch das Vellum so gut wie gar nicht mehr. 

Die Fische sind von WaffleFlower und HeroArts. Ich habe sie aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Prize Ribbon, Broken China und Abandoned Coral scahttiert. 

Ich habe die Fische auf das Vellum geklebt und dann den Kleber, mit dem ich das Vellum befestigt habe, hinter den Fischen versteckt. 

Hinter die Seile, die um die Holzstämme gewickelt sind, habe ich noch einen Seestern gesetzt, der wieder aus dem Layering Pelicans Set ist. Den habe ich mit Abandoned Coral schattiert. 

 

Between and onto the waves layers I added some sea grass, made using dies by WaffleFlower and Action. I inked them with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. I also stamped some fish silhouettes by WaffleFlower onto the cardstock layer using Versafine Clair Very Peri, but those are hardly visible anymore through the vellum.  

The fish are made using dies by WaffleFlower and HeroArts. I cut them from colored cardstock, then shaded them with Prize Ribbon, Broken China and Abandoned Coral.

I glued the fish onto the vellum and then hid the glue to adhere the vellum onto the cardstock behind the fish. 

Behind the ropes, that hold the wood logs together, I tucked a star fish, that's again from the Layering Pelicans set. I shaded it with some Abandoned Coral.  

 

Auf die Holzstämme habe ich dann grünes Moos gesetzt. Das wird bei den Stanzen eingestanzt, ich habe sie einfach nochmal aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, diese Teile herausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.

Oben auf den Stämmen steht eine kleine Möwe, die versucht, sich ihr Abendessen zu fangen. Die Möwe ist aus einem der Club Kits von Spellbinders von letztem Jahr. Ich habe nur die Möwe mit Alcohol Markern schattiert, die anderen Elemente habe ich wieder mit Distress Inks schattiert. 

Das Netz ist aus dem Set Twinkle Twinkle von MFT - und eigentlich hält es ein Bär. Es zeigt dabei auch in die andere Richtung. Also habe ich das Netz einmal mit dem Mirror Image von MFT gespiegelt und auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Hiervon habe ich nur die Holzteile übernommen. Außerdem habe ich das Netz auch noch einmal mit schwarzem StazOn auf Acetate gestempelt. Das konnte ich dann einfach umdrehen, so dass sich das Motiv auf der Rückseite befindet. Die Holzteile habe ich entlang der gestempelten Linien ausgeschnitten und auf das Acetate geklebt. So kann man durch das Netz hindurchsehen. ;)

Der Text auf der  Karte ist mit Stempeln von LawnFawn gemacht: das Wort "fish" mit Buchstaben aus dem Henry Jr.'s ABCs, der kleine Texte darunter mit diversen Henry's Build a Sentiment Sets. Dabei musste ich ein wenig kreativ werden - für das Wort "here" z. B. habe ich den mittleren Teil des Wortes "there's" benutzt. Die Texte sind mit Versafine Clair Twighlight direkt auf den Hintergrund gestemmpelt. Mit einem dünnen weißen Gelstift habe ich rechts und oben ein Highlight neben die Buchstaben gemalt. Ich fand den Text einfach toll zu der Szene. 

Außerdem habe ich auf dem Himmel noch einige Wolken verteilt, die mit den Puffy Clouds von MFT gemacht sind - meine absoluten Lieblings-Wolken. 

 

I added some moss to the wood logs. When die cutting them, the lines for these get cut into the cardstock. I simply cut them again from green cardstock, cut those areas out and glued them onto the brown pieces. 

On top of those logs there's a seagull, that's trying to catch his dinner.  The seagull is from one of last year's club kits.  I only shaded the bird with Ohuhu markers, on the other elements I used Distress Inks again. 

The net is from Twinkle Twinkle by MFT - and originally a bear is holding it. It also faces the wrong direction. So I used the Mirror Image stamp to mirror the image onto white cardstock - I only used the wooden parts here. I also used black StazOn to stammp the net onto acetetae. I could simply turn this face down, having the stamped image on the backside. I cut the wooden pieces out right along the stamped lines and glued those onto the acetate. Now you can see the sky through the net. ;)

The text on the card is made using stamps by LawnFawn: the word "fish" using letters from Henry Jr.'s ABCs, the small words underneath with different of the Henry's Build a Sentiment sets. I had to get a bit creative here - the word "here" ie is made using the center letters of the word "there's". I stamped the texts directly onto the background using Versafine Clair Twighlight. Then I added a thin highlight along the top and right of each letter.  I just loved this text with the scene.

I also added some small clouds to the sky using the Puffy Clouds by MFT - my absolute favorite cloud set.

 

 Beim Zusammenkleben der Szene habe ich dann kein 3D Tape benutzt, damit man die Elemente hinter dem Vellum noch erkennen kann.

Ich habe die Fische ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I didn't use any foam tape when putting the scene together, so the elements behind the vellum are still visible through it.

I added some Stickles to the fish, then glued the card panel to a white note card.
