Ein Blumentopf als Dankeschön

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Als Dankeschön verschenkt man ja gerne mal Blumen - deswegen habe ich auf die heutige Dankeskrte einen Blumentopf gesetzt. Und der ist ganz frisch bepflanzt.

People like to give flowers to say thanks - so I put a flower pot on today's thank you card.  And this was just planted.

 

Die Karte ist rustikaler geworden als ich eigentlich geplant hatte. 

Im Hintergrund wollte ich den Look eines Rankgitters haben, das passt so toll zum Garten. Also habe ich den Diamond Plate Background von TheTon aus weißem Cardstock getanzt und so verbreitert, dass er den gesamten Cardstock abgeckt. Dahinter habe ich türkisfarbenen Cardstock gesetzt. Den habe ich direkt mit zwei Tönen türkisener Tinte gewischt und dabei das Kissen direkt über den Cardstock gezogen. Auf die Idee kam ich, weil ich die selbe Technik schon unten auf dem Holz angewendet hatte und so passt alles zusammen.

Für das Holz im unteren Teil habe ich den Woodgrain Texture Background von WaffleFlower aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt, ein Stück davon ausgeschnitten und es dann mit den dazugehörigen Stencils zart in zwei Brauntönen gewischt. Die Kissen der selben Töne habe ich dann  wieder leicht über das Papier gezogen. Alle Stempelkissen sind von MFT, ich habe Hybrid und Dye Kissen gemischt. 

 

This card turned out more rustic than I had planned.

In the background I wanted to have the look of a lattice because it goes great with the gardening theme. So I die cut the Diamond Plate Background by TheTon from white cardstock and made it wider with partial diecutting so it covers the whole width of the card. Then I put some turquoise cardstock behind it. I used two different shades of turquoise ink to ink the cardstock, dragging the ink pad lightly and directly across the paper. I had the idea because I already had done the same technique to add structure to the wooden base and now everything goes together. 

For the wood on the bottom I die cut the Woodgrain Texture Background by WaffleFlower from light brown cardstock and cut out a piece of it. Then I inked that with two shades of brown ink and the matching stencil set. Using the same colors and dragging the ink pads  over the paper I added more ink. All  ink pads I used here are by MFT, I mixed Dye inks and Hybrid inks. 

 

Der Blumentopf ist aus dem Happy Herbs Stanzenset von WaffleFlower. Ich habe ihn aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und die Teile mit grauen Stempelkissen eingefärbt. Dann habe ich den oberen Teil des größten Blumentopfs aus dem Set Pots and Plants sowie den passenden Aufleger aus dem selben Cardstock gestanzt und als Untersetzer verwendet. So wirkt der Topf gleich viel mehr als wäre  er als Geschenk gedacht - schließlich will man beim Übergeben nicht schon mit nasser Erde eingeschmiert werden. Den Geschenk-Eindruck verstärkt außerdem eine Schleife, die  ich um den Topf gewickelt  habe. Das Band habe ich mit der Blumentopf-Stanze gemacht  und die untere Kante mit der Schere geschnitten, die Schleife ist aus dem Set Postage Collage Gifts. Ich habe die Teile aus rosafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert. 

Rund um den Blumentopf liegt noch Erde vom Einpflanzen. Die Häufchen sind mit der Sandhügel-Stanze aus dem Set Build-a-House Beach AddOn von LawnFawn gemacht. Rundherum habe ich dann mit dunkelbrauner Tinte den Sand aus dem Set Inquisitve Seagulls gestempelt.

Und vor dem Topf liegen noch die Gartengeräte, mit denen die Blumen gepflanzt wurden. Die sind  aus dem Set Postage Collage  Gardening AddOns. Ich habe den Metallteilen aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock rosafarbene Griffe angeklebt und auf die  dann kleine Punkte mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Für die Erdreste an den Geräten habe ich die noch einmal aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock gestanzt, mit der Schere Stückchen davon ausgeschnitten und sie dann auf die kompletten Geräte geklebt. 

 

The flower pot is from Happy Herbs by WaffleFlower. I die cut it from light grey cardstock and then added some texture to it with gery ink pads. Then I die cut the top part of the largest flower pot from Pots and Plants and also the additional brim from the same cardstock and used that to create a plate. Now it looks more like it is meant to be a gift - you don't want to get dirty when handing it out. The bow I put on the pot makes it look even more like a present. I used the flower pot die to create the ribbon, cutting the bottom with my scissors. The bow is from Postage Collage Gifts. I cut the pieces from pink carstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers. 

Around the flower pot there's still some dirt from planting the flowers. I made the piles using the sand pile die from Buld-a-House Beach AddOn by LawnFawn. Around them I then stamped the sand from Inquisitive Seagulls using dark brown ink. 

And in front of the flower pot there are still the gardening tools that were used to plant the flowers. Those are from Postage Collage Gardening AddOns. I cut the metall pieces from matte silver metallic cardstock and added some pink handles to them. I used a white gel pen to draw white dots to the handles. For the dirt on the tips of the tools I die cut the tools again from dark brown cardstock, cut off pieces  with my scissors and glued those onto the complete tools. 

 

 Beflanzt habe ich den Blumentopf mit dunkelroten Blumen, zwischen denen kleine pinkfarbene Blüten sitzen. Die sind alle aus dem Set Floral Anchor Außerdem habe ich einige Zweige aus dem Set Postage Collage Mini Seals dazwischengesteckt.

Meinen Text habe ich auf zwei Blumenstecker gestempelt. Die sind aus dem Set Plant Marker, die Texte darauf aus Plant Marker Words. Ich habe  sie weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und auf die größeren Schildchen geklebt. Vom dritten Pflanzenstecker - die Stanze macht gleich drei auf einmal - habe ich den Schildteil abgeschnitten und stattdessen ein Herz aus pinkfarbenem Cardstock aufgeklebt. Das Herz habe ich mit Stickles beglittert und auch ein wenig davon auf die großen Blumen aufgetragen.

 

I planted some dark red flowers into the flower pot and put some small pink flowers between them. I used the Floral Anchor set here and added some more leaves from Postage Collage Mini Seals. 

The text on this card I stamped onto some plant markers, made with the Plant Marker die set and the Plant Marker Words stamp set. I white heat embossed the texts onto the smaller pieces, cut from black cardstock, then glued them onto the larger markers. From the third plant marker - the die cuts three at once - I cut off the top part and glued a pink heart onto it. I added Stickles to the heart and also put a bit of it onto the large flowers.

 

 Den Blumentopf  habe  ich mit dünnem, die Gartengeräte mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Als Deko habe ich dann einige hellrosa-irisierende Steinchen auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. 

 

I backed the flower pot with thin, the gardening tools with thick foam tape and adhered them to the background. Then I added a few light pink iridescent rhinestones as decoration and glued the card panel to a white note card. 

 

Heute mal Orangen...

Ich habe dieses Jahr ja schon mehrere Karten mit Zitronen gemacht. Nun, für die heutige Karte habe  ich mal  Orangen als Motive verwendet. Ehrlich gesagt wollte ich nicht schon wieder eine Karte mit gelb und blau machen. Und blau und orange sind ebenso sommerlich. Und so sieht die Karte heute fast ein wenig wie ein Stilleben aus dem Urlaub in Griechenland aus (und falls nicht: zu meiner Entschuldigung sei gesagt, dass ich dort noch nie war).

I have shared several cards with lemons so far this year. Well, for today's card I used oranges as my images. To be honest, I didn't want to make another blue and yellow card.  And blue and orange are as much a summer-ish color combo. This card looks a bit like a photo taken at a vacation in greece (and if not, I have to admit that I haven't been there yet). 

 

Als Hintergrund habe ich aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks mittig die Outline des Fensters von Create a Smile gestanzt und ihn dann mit einem Mauer-Embossingfolder von SU geprägt.  Mit einem Schwämmchen habe ich ein wenig Distress Ink Lost Shadow auf die erhabenen Mauerteile aufgetragen. Dann habe ich mit Wasser verdünntes Hickory Smoke und anschließend weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt, um der Mauer etwas Struktur zu geben. 

 

For the background I die cut the outline of the Fenster by Create a Smilie from the center of a piece of white cardstock and then dry embossed it with a brick wall embossing folder by SU. I used a sponge to apply some Distress Ink Lost Shadow onto the raised areas. Then I added splatters of watered down Hickory Smoke and later als white acrylic paint to add some texture to the wall.

 

 Aus dunkelblauem Cardstock habe ich dann das Fensterkreuz des Fensters gestanzt und den Cardstock hinter den Ausschnitt in der Mauer geklebt.

Durch das Fenster sieht man blauen Himmel und das tiefblaue Meer, außerdem ragen einige Zweige von Orangenbäumen mit grünen Blättern und weißen Blüten in das Fenster.  

Himmel und Meer bestehen einfach aus zwei Streifen von verschiedenen Tönen blauen Carstocks. Das Meer habe ich von oben her ein wenig mit Salty Ocean gewischt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift, den ich mit dem Finger verwischt habe, einige Wellen aufgetragen und sie dann mit Stickles beglittert. 

Am Himmel habe ich einige kleine Wolken, gestanzt aus Vellum, aufgeklebt.

Die Orangenbaumzweige sind mit dem Lemon Vine Border von LawnFawn gemacht. Ich habe sie aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Rustic Wilderness schattiert. Die kleinen weißen Blümchen sind aus einem Stanzenset von MarianneDesign - die Blumen im Lemon Vines Border Set waren mir hier einfach zu groß. 

 

From dark blue cardstock I die cut the inner part of the window and glued the cardstock behind the cut out in the wall.

Through the window you can see a blue sky and the deep blue ocean, there are also some orange tree branches with green leaves and white flowers hanging down in front of the window. 

Sky and ocean are simply  made from   two strips of two different  shades of blue cardstock. I inked the ocean from the top down with a bit of Salty Ocean. I also used a white gel pen to draw some waves onto the water, using my finger tips to smudge the ink a bit to the left and right, and then put Stickles on top of them. 

To the sky I glued some tiny clouds, die cut from vellum.

The orange tree branches are made using the Lemon Vines Border by LawnFawn. I die cut it form green cardstock and shaded it with some Rustic Wilderness. The tiny white flowers are from a die set by MarianneDesign - the ones in the Lemon Vine Border set felt too large for my scene. 

 

Unten links habe ich die schon erwähnten Orangen vor das Fenster gelegt. Ich esse Orangen wirklich nur selten und kaufe sie meist, um sie in meinem Aperol zu versenken... Aber hier auf der Karte schauen sie zum Anbeißen aus! 

Ich habe eine recht alte Stanze von MemoryBox verwendet und die Teile aus drei verschiedenen Tönen orangefarbenen Cardstocks gestanzt. Die habe ich dann mit Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade und Crackling Campfire schattiert und Highlights sowie Details mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Zwischen die Orangen habe ich dann noch einige übrige Blätter und Blüten gesteckt. 

 

Onto the bottom left I laid the oranges in front of the window. I rarely eat oranges and mostly buy them to throw them into my Aperol Spritz... But the ones of this card look yummy enough for even me wanting to eat them!

I used a quite old die by MemoryBox and die cut the different parts of the oranges from three shades of orange cardstock. Then I shaded  those with Dried  Marigold, Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire and added highlights and details with a white gel pen. 

I tucked some left over leaves and blossoms behind/between the oranges.

 

 Oben rechts habe ich dann ein Banner mit meinem Text angebracht. Das ist aus dem Set La Dolce Vita Banners von Spellbinders. Ich habe das Banner einmal aus mittel- und einmal aus dunkel-orangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, beide ein wenig schattiert und in das hellere dann den La Dolce Vita Text eingestanzt. Damit man es besser lesen kann, habe ich die Buchstaben mit einem feinen, hellbraunen Stift nachgefahren. 

 

Onto the bottom right I adhered a text banner. I made that using the La Dolce Vita Banners set by Spellbinders. I cut the banner from both middle and dark orange cardstock, shaded both slightly and then cut the La Dolce Vita text into the lighter one. To make it better legible I traced the letters with a fine, light brown marker. 

 

 

Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte kam dann wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz. Ich habe die Mauer mit dickem Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, die Orangenzweige sind mit dünnem Tape hinterlegt. Das befindet sich auch zwischen den Orangen, der Text ist wieder mit dickem Tape hinterlegt.

Ich habe hellorange-irisierende Glitzersteine als Blumenmitten aufgeklebt und dann noch ein paar weitere davon auf der Karte verteilt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the card together I used foam tape again. I adhered the wall with thick tape onto the background and put thin tape behind the orange branches. The thin tape is also put behind the oranges, the text banner I adhered with thick tape.

I used light orange iridescent rhinestones as flower centers and added a few more of them as decorations. Then I glued  the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Craft Roulette Episode #331

 

Hallo Ihr  Lieben!

Bei den Vorgaben, die das Rad für die Episode 331 von Craft Roulette ausgegeben hat, war ich ja erstmal der Meinung, dazu würde mir nie was einfallen und ich setze diese Woche aus. Das muss ich aber schon nächste Woche tun. Und außerdem - Komfortzone verlassen etc.... Und nach ein wenig überlegen, fiel mir dann doch etwas ein.

Die Vorgaben diese Woche sind:

When I heard about the parameters, Mr. Wheel had brought up for this week's episode of Craftt Roulette I was tempted to sit this one out because I had no idea how to combine these. But I already have to skip next week's episode. And also - leaving the comfort zone etc... And after a bit of thinking I really had an idea.

The parameters this week are:

project: 4" x 8" card

colors: excited

element: cold or chilly

random: stitches. 

 

Na, wäre Euch dazu was eingefallen? Ich habe dann erstmal überlegt, was den so ungfähr die Dimensionen/Größenverhältnisse einer 4" x 8" Karte hat - und das zum Thema Kälte passt. Eine Winterkarte war für mich ausgeschlossen. Und dann fiel mir ein Kühlschrank ein. Ta-Da, da war meine Idee! Unter der Farbvorgabe "excited" konnte  ich mir nicht wirklich was vorstellen - was ist eine aufregende Farbkombi? Also habe  ich Goog.e befragt und der meinte "orange und pink" oder auch "türkis und orange". Na, das passte doch zu dem Retro-Kühlschrank, der mir vorschwebte.

Den habe ich dann aus einem Stück 10 x 20 cm großen türkisfarbenen Cardstocks gemacht und  Falzlinien gezogen und so die Kartenfront in 3 Teile geteilt: ein Tiefkühlfach, die Kühlschranktür und den Unterbau. Die Falzlinien habe ich dann noch mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt.

Die oberen beiden Ecken des Cardstocks habe ich dann mit  einem Corner Punch abgerundet. Und aus dem unteren Teil habe ich links und rechts einen schmalen Streifen  herausgeschnitten und mit einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks so hinterlegt, dass er auch unten ein kleines Stück sichtbar ist. 
Die einzelnen Bereiche habe ich dann ein wenig mit Distress Ink Peacock Feathers schattiert. 

Für die Griffe musste ich ein wenig kreativ werden. Ich habe sie dann mit dem Stiel der Schaufel aus einem der Build-a-House AddOn  Sets von LawnFawn gemacht und dabei  erst nur den oberen Teil, weiter unten den unteren um 180 Grad gedreht aus silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und die beiden Linien dann mit dem Cutter verbunden.  

Und wie wohl viele, ist auch unser Kühlschrank mit Postkarten, Zetteln, Magneten und allem möglich anderem geschmückt. Das durfte natürlich auch auf meinem Kühlschrank nicht fehlen.  

 

Would you have had an idea for these parameters? I first thougth about things that have about this size/size ratio of a 4" cx 8" card - and goes with the cold or chilly theme. I didn't want to make a winter card. And then I thought of a fridge and voila - there was the idea I was looking for. I really didn't know what an "excited" color combo is so I asked Goog.e. It said "orange and pink" or "aqua and orange". Well, that went perfectly with the retro fridge I had in mind.

I created it from a 10 x 20 cm piece of aqua cardstock - that is about the size of 4" x 8" - and added three score lines across the paper to create three areas on my card: the freezer door, the fridge door and the bottom. I used a black fineliner to make the score lines a bit more noticable.

I used a corner punch to round the top two corners. And from the bottom area I cut off small pieces on the left and right side and backed those with a piece  of black cardstock, making sure a small part of it is also visible at the bottom.

I used Distress Ink Peacock Feathers to lightly shade the three areas. 

For the handles I had to get a bit creative. I used the handle of a spade from one of the Build-a-House AddOn sets by LawnFawn, die cutting the top, then the bottom turned 180 degrees from silver metallic ardstock and then connecting the two parts with my paper cutter. 

And as many also in our house we use the front of the fridge to pin a lot of stuff like postcards, notes, magnets etc to it. That's what inspired me for the decorations here.

 

 Die Tür des Tiefkühlfaches ist mit Magneten dekoriert: einer in Eisform, gemacht mit einer Stanze von Gummiapan, zwei orangefarbenen in Sternform und einem grünen Enamel Dot. Das Eis passt natürlich auch super zur "cool or chilly" Voragbe. Die Sterne habe ich mit Glossy Accents  überzogen. Zwei der Magnete halten Zettel. Dafür habe ich einfach einen Streifen hellgrünen Cardstocks ausgestanzt und in mehrere Teile gerissen. Der Text darauf ist mit einem schwarzen Fineliner gemacht. 

Darüber befindet sich ein Schild - Typenschild, Herstellerschild - was auch immer. Dafür habe ich ein Treat Yourself aus einem Set von MFT schwarz auf cremefarbenen Cardstock gestempelt, einen schwarzen Rahmen drumherum gemalt und dann alles auf matt-silbernen Metallic-Cardstock geklebt. Außerdem habe ich vier Schrauben mit einem silbernen Gelstift aufgemalt.

Damit alles auf dem Kühlschrank schön plastisch wirkt, habe ich um alle kleinen Elemente einen Schatten mit einem Alcoholmarker in einem dunkleren Ton als die Tür aufgemalt. 

 

The door of the freezer is decorated with some magnets - one in the form of an ice cream cone made using a die by Gummiapan, two orange star shaped ones and a green Enamel Dot. The ice cream cone also goes with the "cool  or chilly" parameter.  I covered the stars with Glossy Accents. Two of those magnets are holding some notes in place. For these I just die cut a strip from bright green cardstock and tore it into pieces. The text on them is made with a black fineliner.

Above the magnets I added a label - freezer type, brand, whatever.  I stamped a "treat yourself" from a set by MFT with black ink onto a piece  of cream colored cardstock, drew a thin frame around it and then glued it onto a piece  of matte silver metallic cardstock. I also added some screws with a silver gel pen. 

To make sure everything looks a bit more dimensional on those doors I used an alcohol marker, a bit darker than the aqua shade of my fridge, and drew a shadow around each of the elements.

 

 Am unteren Ende des Kühlschranks habe ich ein Abluftgitter angebracht. Die ist mit einer Stanze von Magnolia - eigentlich ein Grillrost - gemacht. Ich habe es aus silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt, schwarz hinterlegt und aufgeklebt.

 

At the  bottom of the fridge I added a ventilation grille. I made that using a die by Magnolia - originally part of a BBQ grill - from silber metallic cardstock, then put some black cardstock behind it.

 

 Auf der Kühlschranktür befindet sich dann ein weiterer Text: you're so cool. Das "you're so" ist wie das Label auf dem Tiefkühlfach gemacht. Die Buchstaben für das Wort cool habe ich aus schwarzem und aus orangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und die orangefarbenen Buchstaben mit Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade etwas schattiert. Dann habe ich sie etwas versetzt aufeinander und unter das kleine Label geklebt. 

Drumherum befinden sich dann noch mehr Magnete und Notizen, außerdem ein Flaschenöffner, eine Postkarte und ein Polaroid, das von einem Magneten in Form eine Limettenscheibe gehalten wird. Auf der Postkarte befinden sich übrigens die Stitches, die in die Postkarte eingestanzt werden.

 

On the fridge door there's another text: you're so cool. The "you're so" is made just like the label on the freezer. The letters for the word cool I die cut from black and orange cardstock and shaded the orange ones with Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade. I stacked the letters a bit offset, then glued them onto the fridge door, just under the label.

Around this text there are more magnets and notes and also a bottle opener, a postcard and a polaroid, that is held in place by a magnet in the shape of a lime slice. On the postcard there are the stitches, that the die cuts into the paper. 

 

 Ich habe alle Elemente direkt  auf die  Kartenfront geklebt, die unteren Ende der Notizen habe ich mit den Fingern etwas nach oben gebogen. 

 

I adhered all the elements dirctly onto the card front, the bottom ends of the notes I bent a bit upwards using my fingers. 

 

Nun, hier hätte ich meine Karte eigentlich für fertig erklären können.  Hätte.... Mir fehlte noch das besondere Etwas. Deswegen:

 

This is the point where I could have stopped. Could.... It felt like the card was just missing something. So I added this:

 

 Ich fand, der Kühlschrank sollte sich öffnen lassen. Dafür muss er natürlich gefüllt werden. Leider fehlte mir die Zeit, Motive für den gesamten Kühlschrank zu colorieren - mit Colaflaschen, Eiern, Fleisch, Gemüse und Co hätte das bestimmt gut ausgesehen. Also habe ich nur den oberen Teil des Kühlschranks modifiziert und das Tiefkühlfach lässt sich öffnen. Und darin befindet sich natürlich Eiscreme!

Ich habe das Tiefkühlfach von der Kartenfront abgeschnitten, und hinter den Kühlschrank weißen Cardstock geklebt, den ich ebenfalls oben abgerundet habe. Hinter dem weißen Cardstock habe ich einen Streifen gefalteten türkisfarbenen Cardstocks angebracht, der als Scharnier dient und mit dem die Türe befestigt ist. Das Scharnier habe ich mit dem Ink Blending recht gut kaschieren können. 

 

I liked the idea of the fridge opening up. Of course it needed to be filled then. Unfortunately I didn't have time to color elements for the whole fridge. I would have been great filled with soda bottles, eggs, meat, veggies etc. So instead I only did that for the freezer part and of course it is filled with ice cream!

I cut off the freezer of the card front and put some white cardstock on top of the fridge, rounding the corners, too. Then I put a strip of aqua colored cardstock behind the white cardstock, folding it and using it as a hinge to hold the freezer door. I was able to mask that pretty well with my ink blending. 

 

 Onto the back of the freezer door I adhered three more orange stars and another text, again designed like a label, saying "you deserve this". 

Außerdem habe ich hier auf beide Teile nochmal eine Naht aufgemalt - sicher ist sicher. Die Stitches auf der Postkarte waren schon sehr minimal.

I also added some more stitches to both inner parts of the freezer - just to be safe. The ones on the postcard were very minimal. 

 

 Den weißen Teil hinter der Tiefkühltür habe ich dann wie das Innere eines Tiefkühlfachs coloriert. Darin befinden sich dann drei große Eisbecher. Die sind aus dem Set Treat Yourself von LawnFawn. Ich habe sie farblich passend zum Äußeren des Kühlschranks coloriert. 

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt, der genau die selbe Größe und abgerundete Ecken wie der Kühlschrank hat, so dass er nicht sichtbar ist. 

 

I colored the white part behind the freezer door like the inside of a freezer.  Then I glued three boxes of ice cream "inside" it. These are from Treat Yourself by LawnFawn and colored using the same colors that I also used on the outside. 

In the end I glued everything onto a white card base, that has the exact same size and shape as the fridge and isn't visible when the card is closed. 

 

Und jetzt noch der obligatorische Parameter-Check:

4" x 8" card: 20 x 10 cm - also fast. Aber so passt sie noch in ein deutsches DinLang Kuvert.

Excited colors: Laut Goog.e fällt die Kombo aus türkis und orange in diese Kategorie.  

Cold or chilly: das sollte es in einem Kühlschrank und Tiefkühler sein, sonst gibt es ein Problem.

Stitches: befinden sich auf der Postkart auf der Kühlschranktür sowie im Inneren des Tiefkühlfachs.

 

And here's the obligatory parameter check:

4" x 8" card:  well, 20 x 10 cm, so nearly. But this way it still fits a german DinLang envelope.

excited colors: according to Goog.e a combo of orange and aqua is "exciting". 

cold or chilly: it should be cold and chilly inside a freezer and fridge, or there is a problem...

stitches: these are on the postcard on the fridge door and also inside the freezer.

Ich weiß nicht, warum, aber irgendwie wirkt die heutige Karte ein wenig herbstlich auf mich. Dabei war das überhaupt nicht meine Absicht. Mir gefällt sie trotzdem.

I don't know why, but today's card looks a bit fall-ish to me. And that was in no way my intention. I still like it, though.

 

Für diese Karte kam tatächlich nur eine Hintergrundstanze mit zwei  kleinen Zusatzsets  zum Einsatz. Die Basis ist mit der Rolling Hills Stanze von TheGreetery gemacht. Damit meine Szene auch ohne 3D Tape etwas Tiefe bekommt, habe ich den Hintergrund sechs Mal  aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt und jeweils die oberen Hügel weggeschnitten, so dass auf jeder Lage ein Hügel mehr zu sehen ist. 

Farblich habe ich jeweils zwei Hügel gleich gehalten. Als Basis habe ich mit einem helleren Distress-Ton und Ink Smooshing erstmal eine Basis auf die Hügel gelegt. Hier kamen Squeezed Lemonade, Shabby Shutters und Evergreen Bough zum Einsatz. Dann habe ich erst jweils die unteren Ränder der Hügel mit einem dunkleren Ton ein wenig gewischt und dafür Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint und Pine Needles benutzt. Außerdem habe ich jeweils etwas dieser dunkleren Farbe mit Wasser gemicht und  auf die Hügel aufgespritzt. Bei den gelben Hügeln habe ich hierbei Brushed Corduroy benutzt, das Gelb hat man einfach nicht genug gesehen.
Die dunklen Streifen habe ich dann mit einem Stencil aufgetragen. Nun hatte ich, als ich mir vor etwa 2 Monaten die Stanzen gekauft hatte, nicht bemerkt, dass es auch Stencils gibt. Und dann waren sie nicht mehr auf Lager. Also habe ich mir - derweil - mal anders beholfen und mir mit der Stanze, Mylar-Folie und einem Cutter selbst Stencils gemacht. Sie sind nicht perfekt, machen ihren Job aber fürs Erste. Die dunklen Streifen sind mit Fossilized Amber, Pine Needles und Peeled Paint benutzt. Auf das grüne Pine Needles habe ich dann noch ein wenig Uncharted Mariner verteilt, um den Farbton etwas zu verändern, das war mir zu grün.

Ich habe alle Lagen aufeinander geklebt und dann erst feine Wasserspritzer sowie später verdünnte weiße Acrylfarbe, ebenfalls ganz fein, aufgespritzt. 

 

For this card I only used one background die and two small add-on sets. The base is made using the Rolling Hills die by TheGreetery. To add some depth to the scene but not to have use foam tape for it I die cut the background six times from watercolor cardstock, then cut off the top hills, cutting off one more than I did on the previous one, so there is one hill more on each layer.

I always kept two hills the same color. To add a base layer of color I used a lighter Distress Ink tone and did some ink smooshing. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Shabby Shutters and Evergreen Bough here. Then I used a darker shade to ink just the bottom of each hill using Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Pine Needles. I also mixed some of those darker shades with water and splattered it over the cardstock. On the yellow hills I used Brushed Corduroy, the yellow ink just wasn't visible enough.

I then used a stencil to add the darker stripes. Well, when I bought these dies about 2 months ago I didn't realize there was a stencil set and then they were out of stock. So for now I made my own stencils using the die, some Mylar and a craft knife. They didn't turn out perfect but will do the job or now. I added the darker stripes  with Fossilized Amber, Pine Needles and Peeled Paint. Onto the green Pine Needles I added a touch of Uncharted Mariner, just to make the color a bit more blue-ish. 

I glued all the layers on top of each other and then finely spritzed some water onto the cardstock. After it had dried I also added some watered down acrylic paint, again in very fine splatters. 

 

 Um oben einen geraden Abschluss meines Cardstocks zu erhalten habe ich einen dünnen Streifen blauen Cardstocks hinter die Hügel geklebt. Dadurch ist die Karte allerdings höher als geplant geworden und ich musste am unteren Ende etwa 1/4" wegschneiden. 

Anschließend habe ich Tannenbaumreihen, einzelne Bäume, Häuser und Zäune aus den Sets Rolling Hills Tree Details und Countryside aufgeklebt. Die Bäume sind aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen dunkelgrünen Cardstocks gestanzt, bei den Häusern habe ich mich für ein ockergelb mit rot-braunem Dach entschieden. Die Teile der Häuser habe ich jeweils mit Brushed Corduroy schattiert und außerdem Stück des selben blauen Cardstocks, den ich auch für den Himmel benutzt habe, hinter die Fenster geklebt. 

 

To have a straight edge at the top of the cardstock I glued a strip of light blue cardstock behind the hills. That made the card too tall and so I had to cut off about 1/4" at the bottom. 

Then I added some rows of pine trees, individual trees, houses and fences from Rolling Hills and Countryside to the hills. I die cut the trees from two different shades of dark green cardstock, for the houses I went with a yellow ochre and reddish-brown roofs. I shaded the house parts with Brushed Corduroy  and glued small pieces of the same blue cardstock I also had used for the sky behind the windows.  

 

 Die beiden größeren Häuser haben jeweils eine helle und eine dunkle Hausseite, ich habe hier farblich passenden dunkleren Cardstocks benutzt um diese Lagen auszustanzen. Und weil die Teile der Häuser jeweils alle auf einer kleinen Platte zusammen sind, ich somit die restlichen Teile übrig hatte, konnte ich die Dächer noch mit einer Lage einer anderen Farbe hinterlegen und sie so ein klein wenig erhöhen. 
Unten quer über die Karte habe ich dann meinen Text geklebt. Der ist aus dem Set Mice on Ice von LawnFawn und weiß auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock embosst. Ich hatte erst keine Idee für einen Text, fand aber, die Karte brauchte einen. Diesen hier fand ich dann ganz passend.

 

The two larger houses have a ligth and a dark side, that I cut from matching cardstock. And because all the house parts are together on one die I had some left over pieces and was able to add an additional layer behind the roofs to raise them a bit. 

At the bottom I glued my text across the card. It's from Mice on Ice by LawnFawn and white heat embossed onto dark green cardstock. I really didn't know what text to add but it felt like the card needed one. I think, this one works great here.

 

 

Den Text habe ich dann doch mit dünnem 3D TApe hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich eingige winzige goldene Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht. 

 

I did use some thin foam  tape to adhere the text. As decoration I added some tiny gold pearls to the card and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

Es ist einige Zeit her, dass ich in der Hinsicht eskaliert bin, dass ich auf einer Karte zig Stempelsets kombiniert habe. Nun, für die aktuelle LawnFawnatics Challenge war es wieder so weit. Das Thema ist ein Moodboard:

It's been some time that I escalated completly when it comes to how many sets I combined on one card. Well, for the current LawnFawnatics Challenge it happened again. They have a moodboard as the theme:

 

 

Mir ist hier vor allem das Schulthema ins Auge gestochen. Ich glaube, für Herbst bin ich noch nicht bereit. Es fühlt sich etwas komisch an, da wir in Bayern ja immer als letztes in die Sommerferien starten, was erst Anfang dieser Woche geschehen ist. Also ist auch der Schulstart gefühlt noch in weiter Ferne (nicht, dass mich das noch betreffen würde, meine Kinder haben das alles hinter sich gelassen - aber wenn der August seit der Kindheit immer DER Urlaubsmonat schlecht hin war dann bleibt das irgendwie hängen). 

Nun wurden mir auf IG vor kurzem jede Menge Lochwände angezeigt - wohl, weil ich nach Zubehör für meine Lochwand vom schwedischen Möbelhaus geschaut habe - und darunter waren einige, die Lehrer für ihre Klassenzimmer dekoriert haben. Ich fand die Idee total süß und so hat sie mich zu dieser Karte inspiriert. 

 

It was the school theme that caught my eye. I think, I am not ready for fall yet. It feels a bit strange, because we in Bavaria are always the last ones in Germany that start summer break and it just happened the beginning of this week. So back to school is far away (not that it has any impact on my life anymore, my girls all have finished school a long time ago, but since I was a kid august was the one vacation month so it kind of stuck with me). 

It happened that I was shown a lot of pegboard over on IG, most likely because I was looking for additions to my pegboard from I.ea. Some of them were ones that teacher had decorated for their classrooms. I really loved this idea and so it inspired me to make this card.

 

 Und nach so viel Text füge  ich die Karte nochmal ein. 

Ich habe für meine Lochwand die Workshop Backdrop Portrait und Landscape kombiniert. Die Portrait-Version habe ich aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt und  die beiden Regale herausgeschnitten. Diese Teile  habe ich dann mit Alkoholmarkern mit einem Holzmuster versehen. Außerdem habe ich den Rahmen quasi auf den Kopf gestellt, so dass der breite Teil oben ist.

Für die  Lochwand habe ich dann den Einsatz aus dem Landscape-Set verwendet und zweimal nebeneinander aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks gestanzt. Dieses Teil habe ich dann hinter den Rahmen gesetzt.

 

After that much of text I am showing the card again.

For my pegboard I used the Workshop Backdrop in both the Portrait and the Landscape version. I die cut the portrait one from light brown cardstock and cut out the two boards. I used alcohol markers to add a woodgrain pattern to the pieces. I also turned the frame around so the large solid part ended up on the top of the card.

For the pegboard I used the die from the landscape die set an die cut it two times from - or better into - a piece of white cardstock. I put that piece behind the frame.

 

 Die beiden Bretter auf der Lochwand sind dann bereit für den Schulstart - es haben nicht mal alle Elemente darauf gepasst, so dass ich einige Teile unten am Rahmen angebracht habe. Hier findet sich alles, was man für die Schule braucht: Bücher, Taschenrechner, Kleber, Schere, Brille, Schreibutensilien, Medizin für Notfälle und dazwischen das ein oder andere persönliche Teil wie  eine Karte, die der Lehrer zum Ende des letzten Schuljahres bekommen hat, eine Blume, ein Minitaur-Schulbus, Diplome... Ich füge Euch unten eine Liste an, welches Motiv aus welchem Set ist - falls Ihr das wissen möchtet. 

Der Lehrer hat außerdem zwei Banner an den Brettern befestigt. Die sind mit einer der Fishtail  Banner Borders aus weißem Cardstock gemacht und bunt coloriert. Dann habe ich darauf mit dem Harold's ABCs Set ABC sowie 123 schwarz aufgestempelt. 

 

The two boards on the pegboard are ready for the first day of school - and not all the elements fit onto the boards. So I placed some on the bottom of the frame. Here you can find everything you need for a school day: books,  calculator, glue, scissors, glasses, pens, medicine for emergencies and inbetween a few personal pieces like a card, that the teacher got at the end of last school year, a potted flower, a small school bus, diplomas... I am adding a list of which image comes in which stamp set, in case you want to know about it or are looking for a special image I used.

The teacher also hung up two banners on the boards. I die cut those from white cardstock using one of the Fishtail Banner Borders and colored  them. Then I used the Harold's ABCs set to stamp ABC and 123 with black ink onto the banners.

 

 Auch den oberen Teil des Rahmens hat der Lehrer dekoriert und mit einem Willkommensgruß versehen. Ich habe diesen Teil des Rahmens so coloriert, dass es so aussieht, als wäre er ein wenig zurückversetzt. Dann habe ich ein weiteres Banner, diesmal mit einer Stanze aus dem Bunting Borders Set, quer über den Rahmen gespannt und an den Ecken vier Schaubenköpfe aus Build-a-Toolbox aufgeklebt. 

Das "welcome" sowie die beiden Wolken und die Sonne habe ich weiß aufembosst.Und dann habe ich daneben noch eine Drachen aufgeklebt.

 

The teacher also decorated the upper area of the frame and added a welcome for the new students. I colored  this part of the frame like if it was set back a bit. Then I added another banner, this time using a die from Bunting Borders, and four screw heads from Build-a-Toolbox 

The welcome and the two clouds  and sun I white heat embossed onto the cardstock and then added a kite, too. 

 

 Ich habe die Regale und Dekoelemente mit dünnem  und den Rahmen drumherum mit dickem 3D Tape auf die Lochwand geklebt. Das Banner am oberen Teil ist wieder mit dünnem, der Drachen mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. 

Auf weitere Deko  habe ich hier verzichtet, auf der Karte ist bereits genug los. Also habe ich schwarzen Cardstock hinter die Lochwand gesetzt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I adhered the  boards and decorations with thin, the frame around it with thick foam tape on top of the pegboard. The banner on the upper part of the frame is backed with thin, the kite with thick tape again. I didn't add any decorations here, there's already a lot going on on this card. So I put some black cardstock behind the pegboard and then glued the card panel onto a white note card.

Die Halloween-Saison 2026 ist eröffnet

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Nun, es mag Euch fast ein wenig früh erscheinen, jetzt schon an Halloween zu denken. Aber am 1. August ist offiziell die Halloween-Saison bei WhimsyStamps eröffnet worden. Und - so wie letztes Jahr - darf ich auch dieses Jahr Teil des gruselig-guten Halloweeners Design Team sein.

Well, thinking of Halloween already might seem a bit early for  some of you but WhimsyStamps officially started Halloween season on august 1st. And I am thrilled that I was asked to be part of their spookily awesome Halloweeners design team again - just like last year.

 

 Und so bin ich tatsächlich schon bereit für Halloween - oder zumindest in der richtigen Stimmung für Halloweenkarten. Und meinen ersten DT Beitrag zeige ich Euch heute:

 

And so I am ready for Halloween - or at least in a mood for Halloween cards. I am sharing with you my first DT make today:

 

 Auf der Karte habe ich einige Dinge verwendet, die nicht explizit für Halloween designed wurden. Aber mit dem richtigen Motiv kann man vieles kombinieren und Halloween-ig abwandeln.

Ich habe hier mit schwarzer Tinte auf ein Stück weißen Cardstocks das Wanted Poster  aufgestempelt. Das habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint und Forest Moss eingefärbt - absichtlich ein wenig fleckig. Denn diese Fahndungsplakate sehen ja nie aus wie frisch aus dem Drucker, schon gar nicht an Halloween! Dann habe ich etwas mit Wasser verdünntes Forest Moss und weiße Acrylfarbe in feinen Spritzern auf das Plakat gespritzt.

Den mittleren Teil habe ich dann herausgeschnitten, den Ausschnitt hinterlegt und den Cardstock mit dünnem 3D Tape wieder eingeklebt.

 

On this card I used a few items that were not designed with Halloween in mind. But you can combine a lot with a Halloween image and make it fit the occasion.

Here I stamped the Wanted Poster with black ink onto white cardstock. Then I inked it with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Forest Moss - keeping it a bit splotchy because those wanted posters never look like fresh out of the press. Escpecially not on Halloween!

I finely splattered some watered down Forest Moss and also some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock. 

I cut out the center part, put some black cardstock behind the cut out and put the inner piece back in place, backing it with thin foam tape.

 

 Gefahndet wird hier natürlich nach Süßem - schön arrangiert in einem bis zum Rand gefüllten Kürbiseimer. 

Der ist aus dem Set Got Peepers, die kleinen einzelnen Süßigkeiten daneben aus dem Set Monster Halloween. Ich habe alle  Motive  mit Alcohol Markern coloriert und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Die Highlights und einige Muster auf den Bonbons habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Außerdem habe ich einige Teile mit goldenen Stickles beglittert. 

Links neben dem Kürbiseimer habe ich einen kleinen Text aus Doggies Halloween angebracht. Der passte hier so toll dazu. Er ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und in zwei Teile zerschnitten. 

 

Of course the most wanted thing on Halloween is candy - here nicely arranged in a jack-o-lantern, filled to the brim. 

The candy bucket is from Got Peepers, the individual candy around it from Monster Halloween. I colored all images with alcohol markers and cut them out with my scissors. I used a white gel pen to add the highlights and a few patterns to the candy. I also added gold Stickles to a few of them.

On the left side of the candy bucket I added a small text from Doggies Halloween. It goes just perfectly with the image. I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock and cut it into two pieces.

 

 Bei Abstempeln des Fahndungsplakats habe ich die angebotene Belohnung wegmaskiert und statt dessen im unteren Teil der Karte "sweet or sour" aufgeschrieben, angelehnt an das bekannte "dead or alive". Ich habe die beiden Worte mit dem Mix and Mingle Alphabet and Numbers set aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und die oberen Teile der Buchstaben mit goldenen Stickles beglittert. Das habe ich übrigens auch mit den Buchstaben des Worts "wanted" oben am Poster getan. 

Ich habe die Buchstaben unten auf das Plakat geklebt und dazwischen ein kleines OR aus dem Text Trick or Treat aus Got Peepers mit schwarzer Tinte dazwischen gestempelt.

 

When stamping the Wanted Poster I masked off the reward that's included at the bottom of the poster and replaced it with a "sweet or sour" text, in reference to the well known "dead or alive". I used the Mix and Mingle Alphabet and Numbers die set to cut the letters from black cardstock and added some gold Stickles to their top. I also added some to the word "wanted" at the top of the poster. 

I glued the letters to the bottom of the poster and stamped a little OR from the text trick or treat from Got Peepers between them.

 

 Ich habe das Poster auf ein Stück orangefarbenes Designpapier geklebt, die Ränder des Papiers habe  ich ein wenig mit Black Soot gewischt. Als  Deko habe ich einige orangefarbene Pailetten auf dem Poster verteilt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I adhered the poster to a piece of orange patterned paper, the edges I have inked with a bit of Black Soot. As decoration I added some orange sequins.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Wie Ihr seht habe ich 3D Tape zwischen die einzelnen Lagen der Karte gesetzt. Falls Ihr Euch aber wundert, warum der Kürbis gar so weit hochsteht, hier ist der Grund:

 

As you can see I did use foam tape to put the card together. But in case you wonder why the candy bucket is so high on the card, here's the reason:

 

 Ich konnte einfach nicht anders, als einen Action Wobbler hinter den Kürbiseimer zu setzen. Das Wackeln auf dem Foto einzufangen war extrem schwierig und man sieht es nur an den Süßigkeiten. Aber das fand ich hier einfach absolut passend.

Ich habe den Action Wobbler durch ein Loch in der Mitte des Posters gesteckt, das ich dann ja mit 3D Tape zusammengesetzt habe. So steht der Kürbis nicht gar so extrem weiter heraus als der Rest der Karte.

 

I just couldn't resis adding an Action Wobbler here. It was really hard to catch the movement on picture and you can only tell is from looking at the candy. But it felt so right here.

I put the Action Wobbler through a hole in the center of the poster, then put that together with foam tape to avoid the pumpkin standing too tall compared to the rest of the card.

 

Craft Roulette Episode #330

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Am Freitag gab es wieder eine neue Episode von Craft Roulette und ich habe den gestrigen Samstag dazu genutzt, ein Werk mit den Parametern dieser Woche zu machen. Es ist keine Karte geworden, sondern ein großer Tag. Und weil ich zu einem der Parameter tatsächlich nichts da hatte, war die Episode eine Herausforderung für mich. Aber ich habe einen Weg gefunden.

Die Parameter diese Woche lauten:

Project: Tag with Pocket

Colors: Trick or Treat

Element: Robot(s)

Random: Three Strips of Paper.

Ja, im ersten Moment habe ich geschluckt...

Friday a new episode of Craft Roulette aired and I used yesterday to make my project with the new parameters. I didn't make a card but a large tag. And because there's one of the parameters that I didn't  have anything for this episode was a real challenge. But I found a way.

This week's parameters are:

project: tag with pocket

colors: trick or treat

element: robot(s)

random: three strips of paper.

And yes, I really was at a loss in the first moment.

 

Im Endeffek habe ich einen großen Tag gestaltet, den ich mit einer Stanze von Sizzix aus Designpapier mit Weltallmuster gestanzt habe. Die Lage aus weißem Cardstock dahinter habe ich dann per Hand zugeschnitten und beide Teile aufeinander geklebt.

 

Finally I decided to make a large tag, die cutting it with a die by Sizzix from patterned paper with a space pattern. I cut the white layer behind it with my paper cutter and glued both pieces together.

 

 Für die Tasche, die  auf dem Tag enthalten sein soll, habe ich die Money Pocket Stanze von LawnFawn benutzt. Da die wie eine Jacken- oder Hosentasche aussieht,  habe ich sie aus blauem Papier mit Jeansmuster ausgestanzt. Das Blau passt auch super zum Designpapier im Hintergrund. Die Teile habe ich mit Alcoholmarkern ein wenig schattiert. 

Ich habe den Knopf aus orangefarbenem Hologramm-Cardstock gestanzt, die hintere Lage, die tatsächlich eine Tasche ist, aus olivgrünem Cardstock. So bekommt mein Werk auch gleich Halloween-Farben. Durch die Löcher im Knopf habe ich schwarzes Twine gezogen. 

Und hier habe ich dann auch die drei Papierstreifen, ein weiterer Parameter, untergebracht. Dafür  habe ich je einen orangefarbenen Hologramm-Cardstock- und einen silbernen Glittercardstock-Streifen quer über den Tag und auch die olivgrüne Tasche geklebt. Den dritten Streifen habe ich benutzt, um meinen Text unterzubringen. Der Streifen ist aus schwarzem Cardstock, ich habe einen Text aus dem You're Clawsome Stempelset von LawnFawn weiß darauf embosst.  

Und weil es so schön zum Thema Roboter passt, habe ich mit Stanzen von Sizzix einige Zahnräder aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und im unteren Teil als Deko auf den Tag geklebt.

 

For the pocket, that had to be included, I used the Money Pocket die by LawnFawn. Since it looks like the pocket of some trousers or a jacket I die cut it from blue paper with a jeans pattern. The blue also goes perfectly with the patterned paper in the background. I shaded the pieces with alcohol markers.

The button I die cut from orange holographic cardstock, the back layer, that is actually a pocket, from olive green cardstock. This way I was adding the Halloween colors. I put some black twine through the holes in the button.

And here I also added the three strips of paper that were one of the parameters. I cut one strip from orange holographic cardstock, one from silver glitter cardstock and glued both across the tag and also the olive green pocket. The third strip I used to add my text. I cut the strip from black cardstock and white heat embossed a text from You're Clawsome by LawnFawn onto it.

And because it goes perfectly with the robot theme I used dies by Sizzix to die cut some gears from matte silver metallic cardstock and added those to the bottom of the tag.

 

 Und dann musste ich kreativ werden. Das einzige Roboter-Motiv, das ich habe, ist von LawnFawn und war viel zu klein für meine Karte. Also habe ich überlegt, was sonst passen könnte und mir sind die Roboter-Arme aus dem Galaxy Transport Stanzenset von StudioLight eingefallen. Aus denen und der Kuppel des Ufos habe ich dann einen Roboter gebastelt. Ich habe ihn aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und mittig aus dem Gesicht ein Fenster herausgeschnitten. Um das habe ich einen dünnen Rahmen aus grünem Metallic-Cardstock geklebt und es mit orangefarbenem Hologramm-Cardstock hinterlegt. Das ist der Bildschirm mit den Augen. Die bestehen aus grünen Wackelaugen, außerdem habe ich zwei rosafarbene Backen aufgeklebt. Oben am Kopf befindet sich eine grüne Antenne, die ebenfalls aus dem Galaxy Transport Set ist. 

Um den Roboter etwas mechanischer aussehen zu lassen, habe ich rechts und links des Kopf zwei Schrauben aus silbernem Hologramm-Cardstock angebracht, die mit einer Stanze aus dem Build-a-Toolbox Set von LawnFawn sind. Aus dem selben Cardstock habe ich dann noch einige kleine Schrauben ausgestanzt und auf dem Roboter verteilt. 

Ich habe den Roboter hinter die blaue Tasche geklebt. Über ihm befindet sich dann noch eine Sprechblase. Sie ist aus schwarzem Cardstock, auf den ich weiß einen Text aus dem Set Retro Game von HeroArts aufembosst habe. 

 

And then I had to get creative. The only robot image I have is by LawnFawn but it was way too small for my card. So I tried to find something I could build a robot from - and came across the robot arms from Galaxy Transport by StudioLight. I used these and the top of the UFO to create my robot. I die cut the pieces from silver glitter cardstock and cut a window from the center of the face. I put a thin frame, cut from green metallic cardstock, around it and backed it with orange holographic cardstock. This makes the screen with the eyes. For the eyes I used some green googly eyes. I also added some pink cheeks. And on top of  the head I glued a gren antenna, that is again made using a die from Galaxy Transport.

To make the robot look a bit more mechanically I glued a screw behind the left and right of the head, made from silver holographic cardstock using a die from Build-a-Toolbox by LawnFawn. From the same cardstock I also cut some small screw heads and glued those onto the robot.

I tucked the robot behind the blue pocket. Above it I added a speech bubble. I made that from black cardstock, that I white heat embossed one of the texts from Retro Game by HeroArts onto.  

 

 In die grüne Tasche kann man dann auch eine Geschenkkarte stecken. Damit die auch problemlos reingeschoben/rausgezogen werden kann, habe ich die Sprechblase an einem Streifen Acetate geklebt und das andere Ende hinter dem Roboter angeklebt. So schwebt sie quasi über dem Tag.

 

You can put a giftcard into the green pocket. To make sure it can easily be put in and taken out I glued it to a strip of acetate and adhered the other end to the robot's back. This way it's kind of floating on the tag.

 

 Zum Schluss fehlte noch etwas am oberen Ende des Tags.

Ich habe den Lochverstärker durch ein weiteres Zahnrad ersetzt und ein kleineres daneben geklebt.

Dann habe ich aus olivgrünem Cardstock eine der Regency Bow No 1 Schleifen von TheGreetery ausgestanzt, ein wenig mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert und oben auf den Tag geklebt.

 

In the end the top of my tag was missing some decoration.

I replaced the hole reinforer with another gear and glued a smaller one next to it. Then I die cut one of the Regency Bow No 1 dies by TheGreetery from olive green cardstock, lightly shaded it with alcohol markers and glued it to the top of the tag.

 

 Da die olivgrüne Tasche bereits etwas erhöht ist, habe ich den blauen Aufleger und auch den schwarzen Textstreifen jeweils mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Alle anderen Teile sind direkt auf den Tag geklebt. 

 

Since the green pocket is alreay a bit raised I only backed the blue pocket and the black text strip with thin foam tape. All the other pieces I glued directly onto the tag.

 

Und dies ist mal wieder ein Werk, das ich so garantiert nie gemacht hätte. Aber genau das mag ich an Craft Roulette - es holt einen definitiv aus der Komfortzone!

Machen wir noch den Parameter-Check:

Tag with Pocket: Ich habe einen großen Tag gemacht und sogar zwei Taschen darauf angebracht.

Trick or Treat Colors, also Halloween: dunkelblau, orange, olivgrün und silber gehören für mich definitiv in diese Kategorie.

Robot(s): hinter der blauen Tasche schaut ein - selbstgebauter - Roboter hervor.

Three strips of Paper: ein orangefarbener und ein silberfarbener Streifen quer über den Tag und die Tasche, der dritte Streifen darüber enthält meinen Text. 

 

And this is once again a project I would never have made like this on my own. But that's what I love about Craft Roulette: it definately makes you leave your comfort zone!
