Heute zeige ich Euch eine weitere Karte mit LawnFawn-Produkten. Sie ist mein Beitrag zur LawnFawnatics Challenge #222 "thank you for being a friend". Gefragt sind Karten mit einem Dankes- oder Freundschafts-Thema oder man kombiniert gleich beide. Ich habe mich für Freundschaft entschieden und diese tropische Szene gestaltet.

Today I am sharing with you another card using LawnFawn products. It's  my entry for the LawnFawnatics challenge #222 "thank you for being a friend". We are asked to make cards with a thank you or a friendship theme - or you can combine both. I decided to go with a friendship theme and made this tropical scene.

 

 In den letzten Tagen hat man vermehrt Karten mit einem Hula-tanzenden Pinguin von Spellbinders gesehen. Und der hat mich hier inspiriert. 

 

In the last days I've seen several cards with a hula dancing penguin by Spellbinders and it inspired me to make my own version of it.

 

 Den Himmel habe ich auf weißem Cardstock gestaltet und dafür das Beach Sunset Stencil Set verwendet. Erst habe ich die Sonnenreflektion auf dem Meer mit Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold und Crackling Campfire aufgewischt und dann klares Embossingpulver mit goldenen Glitzerpartikeln aufgetragen. So konnte ich rundum das Meer mit Seedless Preserves, Villainous Potion und Chipped Sapphire wischen.

Die Sonne und den Himmel habe ich dann mit Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Crackling Campfire, Barn Door und Seedless Preserves gestaltet. 

Aus schwarzem Cardstock habe ich den Tropical Backdrop gestanzt und dann nur die beiden Palmen verwendet. Der Hintergrund ist ja im Querformat gestaltet, ich habe meine Karten aber im Hochformat gemacht. Die Highlights auf den Palmen habe ich, passend zum Sonnenuntergang, mit einem goldenen Gelstift gemacht. Außerdem habe ich mit Versafine Nocturne drei Vögel aus dem Set Life is Good vor die Sonne gestempelt.

 

I created the sky on a piece of white cardstock and used the Beach Sunset stencil set for it. 

First I inked the light reflections on the water with Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold and Crackling Campfire and then covered it with clear embossing powder with gold glitter pieces in it. This way I was able to created the sea around it with Seedless Preserves, Villainous Potion and Chipped Sapphire. 

The sun and the sky I created with Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Crackling Campfire, Barn Door and Seedless Preserves.

From black cardstock I die cut the Tropcial Backdrop and then only used the palm trees from it. The die is created in a landscape orientation but I wanted  my card to be portrait. I used a gold gel pen to draw the highlights onto the palm trees, it goes perfectly with the sunset.  I also used Versafine Nocturne to stamp three birds from Life is Good in front of the sun.

 

Die beiden Pinguine, die da so fröhlich am Strand tanzen, sind aus dem Set Penguin Party. Ich habe ihnen Blätterröcke angezogen. Für die habe ich die Blätterlagen aus dem Bamboo Forest Backdrop  Landscape einige  Male aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, coloriert und zu einem Rock zusammengeklebt. Den oberen Rand habe ich mit der Schere etwas abgeschnitten. 

Die Cocktails, die die beiden in der Hand halten, sind aus dem Set Plan On It Vacation, die Sterne am Rockbund - ebensoo wie die Muscheln, die ich im Sand versteckt habe, aus On the Beach. Außerdem tragen die beiden Blumenkränze auf dem Kopf. Die sind eigentlich kleine Schneeflocken aus Penguin Party.

Als Boden habe ich mit der Stitched Wavy Backdrop Landscape Sandlagen aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe sie mit Distress Ink Gathered Twigs und Ground Espresso gewischt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Im Hintergrund stecken noch zwei Fackeln im Sand. Die habe ich mit dem Bambusstab aus Bamboo Forest Backdrop Landscape und dem Cocktail zusammengesetzt. Die Flammen darin sind aus Let's BBQ. 

 

The two penguins, that are happily dancing on the beach, are from Penguin Party. I dressed them in skirts made from leaves. I die cut the individual leaves from Bamboo Forest Backdrop Landscape several times from white cardstock and colored them. To the brim I added a star fish, that and the seashells I tucked into the sand, are from On the Beach. The two penguins are  also  wearing flower wreaths on their heads. Those flowers are made using the small snowflakes from Penguin Party.

As the ground I die cut the Stitched Wavy Backdrop Landscape from brown cardstock to create some sand layers. I inked  them with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso and then added fine splatters of white acrylic paint.

In the background I tucked two torches into the sand. I made those combining the bamboo stalk from Bamboo Forest Backdrop Landscape and  the cocktail glass. The flames are from Let's BBQ.

 

 Für den Text habe ich das Aloha aus dem neu-aufgelegten Wish You Were Here, Too Set mit weißem Embossingpulver direkt auf den Sand embosst. 

Das Wort Friend ist mit der Scripty Friends Stanze gemacht, das S am Ende habe ich mit der Schere weggeschnitten. Ich habe es zweimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und eine Lage mit Scattered Straw, Crackling Campfire und Seedless Preserves eingefärbt. Dann habe ich beide Lagen leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. Als I-Punkt habe ich eine weitere  Muschel benutzt. 

 

For the text I white heat embossed the Aloha from the re-released Wish You Were Here, Too set directly onto the sand.

The word friend is made using the Scripty Friends die, I cut off  the S at the end with my scissors. I cut it twice from white cardstock and inked one of them with Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Crackling Campfire and Seedless Preserves, then stacked the two words a bit offset. Instead  of the dot on the I I used another seashell.

 

 Ich habe alle Lagen für die Szene direkt aufeinander geklebt und dann mit dünnem 3D Tape einen Rahmen aus schwarzem Cardstock um alles gesetzt. Da meine Karte nach deutschem Format gestaltet ist, für das die Stanzen in amerikanischen Größen nicht passen, habe ich den Rahmen mit dem Cutter zugeschnitten.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued all the layers for the scene directly onto each other, then put a frame from black cardstock around it using thin foam tape. Since my card is made in a german card size, and the dies made for the american size don't fit, I simply cut the frame with my paper cutter.

Then I adhered  the card panel to a white note card.

Enjoy life, no matter if there's rain or sunshine. The little geese on today's card are showing you how to do it. 

 

Auf dieser Karte kamen wieder Produkte vom letzten LawnFawn-Release zum Einsatz. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus zwei Stücken blau-grauen Cardstocks. In einen habe ich mit der Rainy Day Backdrop Portrait Stanze Regentropfen hineingeprägt. Aus dem anderen habe ich ein Fenster geschnitten, das so groß ist, dass das zweitgrößte der Reverse Stitched Rectangles so dahinter passt, dass der gestitchte Rand noch zu sehen ist. 

 

On this card I used products from the latest LawnFawn release again.

The background is made from two pieces of grey-ish blue cardstock. From one I cut the Rainy Day Backdrop Portrait to create the raindrops. From the other one I cut a window, making it large enough so the second largest of the Reverse Stitched Rectangles fits into it and the stitched edge is still visible. 

Das Fenster habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und hinter das Fenster das geklebt. Es bildet buchstäblich den Rahmen für meine Szene. In der waren die beiden Gänse gerade beim gemeinsamen Spaziergang, als es zu regnen anfing. Sie tragen zwar Gummistiefel und eine sogar eine Regenjacke, an einen Schirm hat aber keine gedacht. Aber hey, das tut der guten Laune doch keinen Abbruch! Eine Blüte, umgedreht auf den Kopf gesetzt, gibt einen tollen Regenhut. Und ein großes Gänseblümchen wird  kurzerhand zum Regenschirm....

 I cut that frame from white cardstock and glued it behind the window.  It makes the frame for my scene. Those two little geese were out on a walk together when it started raining. They are wearing their rubber boots and one of them even a rain jacket, but they didn't think of bringing an umbrella. But hey, no reason to get mad. A flower, put upside down in the head, makes a great rain hat and a daisy is the perfect substitution for an umbrella...

 

 

 

 Die linke der Gänse ist aus dem neuen Silly Goose Rain or Shine Set, die rechte aus dem Silly Goose Set. Damit die nicht ganz unvorbereitet auf den Regen trifft, habe ich die Gummistiefel der Gans links ein weiteres Mal gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und der rechten Gans angezogen. 

Beide stehen fröhlich lachend in Pfützen aus den Sets Silly Goose Rain or Shine und Beary Rainy Day - die beiden haben leicht verschiedene Größen. 

Der Regenhut der rechten Gans ist aus dem Set Big Blossom Flowers und eigentlich das Grün unter einer Knospe. Als Grün fungiert ein kleines Stück des Flower Garden Backdrops. Blume und Gummistiefel sind farblich zueinander passend coloriert - so eine Gans ist nämlich eitel und zieht nicht irgendwas an! - und die Gummistiefel habe ich mit kleinen weißen Punkten versehen.

Für den Gänseblümchen-Regenschirm habe ich einen der Stiele aus dem Big Blossom Flowers Set  - der ist etwas schmäler - mit der großen Blüte aus Big Blossom Backdrop Landscape kombiniert. Davon habe ich zwei leicht versetzt übereinander geklebt. 

Alle Motive sind mit Ohuhu-Markern coloriert, die Stanzteile habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Hinter den Gänsen befindet sich noch eine Lage Gras.  

Im unteren Bereich habe ich dann auch meinen Text aufgeklebt - er befindet sich außen auf dem Rahmen. Er ist mit Stempeln aus den Sets Sweet Spiders Add-On und Silly Goose Rain or Shine zusammengesetzt und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.  

 

The goose on the left is from the new Silly Goose Rain or Shine set, the right one from Silly Goose. To let her not meet the rain completly unprepared I stamped the rubber boots of the goose on the right again, cut them out and added them to the goose on the right. 

Both geese are happily standing in puddles from Silly Goose Rain or Shine and Beary Rainy Day - they are slightly different in size.

The rain hat the right goose is wearing is made with a die from Big Blossom Flowers, that's originally meant to be the green part of a bud - as the bud I used a tiny part of the Flower Garden Backdrop. I matched the color of the flower with the one of the boots - such a goose is very vain and doesn't put on anything - and also added some white dots to the boots.

For the daisy umbrella I combined one of the stems from Big Blossom Flowers - they are a bit less thick - with the large blossom from Big Bloosom Backdrop Landscape. I glued two of these on top of each other, offsetting them a bit. 

I colored all images with Ohuhu markers and cut the die cuts from white cardstock. Behind the geese I added a layer of grass. 

In the lower area I added my text - I adhered it onto the top of the frame. I put it together from stamps from Sweet Spiders AddOn and Silly Goose Rain or Shine and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock. 

 

 

 Hinter die Regentropfen des Rainy Day Backdrops habe ich hell-aqua farbenen Cardstock gesetzt und daraus auch einige weitere Regentropfen ausgestanzt, die ich dann, passend zu den Spuren im Hintergrund, auf die Motive geklebt habe. Alle Regentropfen und auch die Pfützen habe ich dann ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert. 

Am Himmel habe ich außerdem drei kleine weiße Wolken außen auf den Rahmen geklebt. 

 

I put some light aqua cardstock behind the Rainy Day Backdrop and cut a few more raindrops from the same cardstock. I glued those onto the images, making them match the "trails" on the background. Then I put some Stickles onto the raindrops and the puddles. 

To the sky I also added a few white clouds, glueing them onto the top cardstock layer with the window cut from it.  

 

 

 Ich habe die Gänse mit dünnem, den Rahmen mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Regentropfen-Hintergrund geklebt. Auch die Wolken und Texte sind mit dünnem Tape hinterlegt. 

Mit einem schwarzen Fineliner habe ich einen Rahmen auf den oberen Cardstock gemalt und als Deko drei rote Herzen auf dem Himmel verteit. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the geese with thin, the frame with thick foam tape onto the raindrop background. I also backed the clouds and text with thin tape.

With a black fineliner I drew a frame onto the top cardstock layer and added three red clay hearts to the sky as decoration. Then I glued the card panel to a white note card. 

 

Smile, it's Summer

Heute ist Sommeranfang - okay, zumindest meteorologisch. Aber das zählt für mich. Und weil ich der Sommer meine absolute Lieblings-Jahreszeit ist, muss das natürlich mit einer Karte gefeiert werden.

It's the start of summer today - well, at least meteorolgically. But that counts for me. And since summer is my favorite season of the year this has to get celebrated with a card.

Ich habe hier cremeweißen Cardstock für den Hintergrund benutzt und mit einem Embossingfolder von Papermania das Mauermuster hineingeprägt. Das habe ich dann vorsichtig mit einem Schwämmchen und ein wenig Distress Ink Iced Spruce eingefärbt und dabei versucht, die Fugen möglichst wenig mit Tinte zu beschmieren. Das ist mir nicht überall gelungen. Also habe ich stückchenweise weißen Gelstift auf die Fugen aufgetragen und mit dem Finger verwischt, solange die Farbe noch flüssig war. 

Anschließend habe ich ein wenig weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

 I used a piece of cream white cardstock for the background and dry embossed the brick wall into it using an embossing folder by Papermania. Then I used a blending tool to very carefully ink the bricks with Distress Ink Iced Spruce. I tried to not get too much ink onto the joints, but that didn't work everywhere. So I applied a bit of color with a white gel pen and went over the still wet ink with my finger to smooth it out. 

Then I added some small splatters of white acrylic paint.

 

 

 

 Mittig auf die Mauer habe ich ein Fenster mit Blumenkasten gesetzt. 

Das Fenster und der Blumenkasten sind mit einem alten Stanzenset von SU aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu-Markern schattiert. Hinter das Fenster habe ich erst eine Lage Acetate und dann helltürkis-farbenen Cardstock gesetzt. Den Cardstock habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Und auch die Zierleiste am Blumenkasten ist damit hinterlegt. 

Die Blumen sind mit Stanzen von Create a Smile und Magnolia gemacht. Alle Teile habe ich aus farbigem Cardstock in verschiedenen Rot- und Orangetönen gestanzt und mit Ohuhu-Markern schattiert.  Dann habe ich sie im Blumenkasten arrangiert. 

Außerdem habe ich ein Windrad in den Blumenkasten gesteckt. Das ist aus dem Pink Lemonade Stand von Spellbinders, in die Mitte habe ich einen orange-goldenen Glitzerstein gesetzt. 

 

Into the center of the flower I adhered a window with a flower box.

The window and the flower box I die cut from white cardstock using an old die set by SU, then I shaded them with Ohuhu markers.  Behind the window I first put a layer of acetate, then added a layer of light aqua cardstock. I adhered the cardstock with thin foam tape and also the top edge of the flower box is backed with it. 

The flowers I made from different shades of red and orange cardstock using dies by Create a Smile and Magnolia. Again I shaded them with Ohuhu markers, then arranged them in the flower box.

I also tucked a pinwheel behind the flower box. I made it using a die from the Pink Lemonade Stand die set by Spellbinders, into the center I glued a small orange-gold rhinestone. 

 

 

 

 Über dem Fenster, fast entlang der oberen Kante des Hintergrunds, habe ich dann noch eine Markise angebracht. Sie ist mit einer Stanze aus dem Boutique Set von MFT. Ich habe sie je einmal aus weißem und hellorange farbenem Cardstock gestanzt, den weißen Teil dann in kleine Teile geschnitten und auf jeden zweiten Streifen der Markise aufgeklebt. 

Im oberen Bereich der Karte war dann auch Platz für meinen Text. Das Smile ist aus schwarzem Cardstock mit einer Stanze aus dem Wordfetti Set von Recollections gemacht. Der kleine Text darunter ist mit Stempeln aus dem On the Beach Set von LawnFawn zusammengesetzt und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embost. 

Neben dem Text fliegen dann noch  zwei kleine hellgelbe Schmetterlinge.

Na, und so ein Windrad muss sich natürlich drehen, oder?

 

Above the window, almost along the top edge of the background, I added an awning. I used a die from the Boutique die set by MFT and cut it once from white and once from light orange cardstock. Then I cut the white one into pieces and adhered one to each other stripe on the awning. 

In the upper area of the card there was also room for my text. I die cut the smile using a die from the Wordfetti set by Recollections. The small text under it I put together using stamps from On the Beach by LawnFawn, white heat embossing it onto black cardstock.

Next to the text I added two small light yellow butterflies. 

Well, such a pinwheel should turn, right? 

 

 

 Ich habe hinter das Windrad einen der momentan so angesagten und super kleinen Spinner gesetzt. Wenn man dem Windrad so zuschaut, scheint hier ein ganz schöner Sturm vor dem Fenster zu herrschen! Oh, und das Windrad lässt sich mit dem Spinner tatsächlich auch durch Pusten in Bewegung setzen. Aber meine Nase im Bild wollte ich Euch ersparen, deswegen habe ich es mit dem Finger angestupst. ;)

 

I put one of the recently so hyped and really tiny spinners behind the pinwheel. When you look at it in the video you might think, that it's pretty stormy in front of that window. Oh, by the way, the pinwhell on the spinner can actually be set in motion by blowing onto it, but I didn't want you to have my nose in the video so I used my fingers here. ;) 

 

 

 Wie schon erwähnt, habe ich das Fenster und den Blumenkasten mit dünnem 3D Tape zusammengesetzt. Den Blumenkasten habe ich dann mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Für die Markise  habe ich dünnes Tape entlang der oberen Kante und aufgedoppeltes dickes Tape im unteren Bereich angebracht - so liegt die Markise zwar an der Mauer an, steht aber trotzdem schön vor, wie eine echte Markise.

Als Deko habe ich noch zwei kleine weiße Herzen an und neben den Blumenkasten geklebt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. 

 

As mentioned above did I use thin foam tape to put the window and the flower box together. I adhered the flower box with thick foam tape. On the awning I put a strip of thin tape along the top edge and some doubled up thick tape along the bottom. This way it touches the wall but still stands up at the front, just like a real one does. 

I added two small white clay hearts onto and next to the flower box and then glued the card panel to a white note card.  

You're a Classic

So langsam komme ich in ein Alter, in dem man gerne mal als Oldtimer bezeichnet wird. Natürlich nur nett gemeint - und Oldtimer sind ja meist so richtige Klassiker. Das habe ich dann auch auf dieser Geburtstagskarte aufgegriffen.

 

Hello everyone!

I am reaching an age that people get called oldtimer every now and then. Of course that's meant in a nice way - and most oldtimers are real classics. This is also the theme I have picked for today's birthday card.

 

 Ich weiß natürlich, dass es auch Frauen gibt, die - alte - Autos lieben. Trotzdem ist die Karte mit einem Mann im Kopf entstanden. Verwendet habe ich (fast) nur Produkte von ScrappyTails. 

Auch farblich bin ich eher in die Vintage-Richtung gegangen und nachdem mein Auto cremefarben werden sollte, habe ich Brauntöne kombiniert mit Türkis für den Rest der Karte verwendet.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück dunkel-türkis farbenen Cardstocks. Außerdem habe ich mit einer der Essential Modern Ovals Stanzen von Spellbinders ein Oval aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt. Auf beide Teile habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Brused Corduroy und einer Stencil von MFT Strahlen aufgewischt und sie dabei so angeordnet, dass die Strahlen fortlaufend sind wenn beide Teile aufeinander liegen. 

Anschließend habe ich Wassertropfen auf beiden Teilen verteilt.

 

Of course I know that there are women that love - old - cars. Still I made this card with a man in mind. I mainly used products by ScrappyTails on my card.

Also colorwise I went vintage and since I knew I wanted my car to be beige I combined browns and turquoises for the rest of the card.

The background is made from a piece of dark turquoise cardstock. I also die cut one of the Essential Modern Ovals by Spellbinders from light brown cardsdtock. Onto both pieces I put down some rays using Distress Ink Brused Corduroy and a rays stencil by MFT. I made sure they are continuous once the pieces lay on top of each other.

I splattered some water onto both of the cardstock pieces.

 

 Ich liebe es, Stanzen oder Stempel, die für einen bestimmten Zweck designed sind, anderweitig und das ganze Jahr über zu verwenden. Und so kam hier der Layering Christmas Truck zum Einsatz. Der lässt sich super einfach ganzjahres-tauglich machen, indem man einfach den Christbaum von der Ladefläche schneidet.

Ich habe die Teile aus hell- und dunkelbeigem Cardstock gestanzt und alles mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert. Das Fenster habe ich hellblau hinterlegt. Die Chromteile sind natürlich aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt. 

Die Ladefläche habe ich dann, passend zum Geburtstagsthema, mit Geschenken gefüllt. Die sind aus den Sets Polar Express Caboose PopUp und Birthday Essentials. 

Unter dem Auto, das ich schräg aufgeklebt habe, habe ich dann ein helltürkis-farbenes Banner angebracht, auf dem ich einen Geburtstagsgruß angebracht habe. Das Happy Birthday ist aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und aus dem Set Love Notes Stationary. Der I-Punkt ist irgendwie im Chaos auf dem Basteltisch verloren gegangen. Also habe ich stattdessen ein braunes Herz benutzt. Das Banner habe ich einfach mit dem Cutter geschnitten.

 

I love to find a way to use dies, that are designed for a special occasion or holiday, all year long. And so I brought in the Layering Christmas Truck die here. It's super easy to modify it and make it usable all year by simply cutting off the christmas tree of the truck bed.

I die cut all pieces from light or dark beige cardstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers. I put some light aqua cardstock behind the window, all the chrome elements are of course cut from silver mirror cardstock.

Matching the birthday theme I filled the bed with presents. These are from Polar Express Caboose PopUp and Birthday Essentials. 

Under the car, that I adhered at an angle, I added a light aqua banner with a birthday greeting. The "happy birthday" is from Love Notes Stationary and cut from black cardsdtock. The dot on the I somehow got lost in the mess of my craft desk so I used a brown clay heart instead. The banner I simply cut with my paper cutter.

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte befindet sich ein weiterer Text, der dann auch die Verbindung zum Oldtimer herstellt. Das "you're a classic" ist eigentlich aus dem Bücherregal-Set Classic Bookshelf. Aber hier passt es doch genauso gut. Ich habe die Worte aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und das "classic" auf ein Banner geklebt. Das ist aus dem Valentine Playing Cards Set. Ich habe die Teile wieder mit Ohuhu-Markern schattiert, außerdem habe ich den oberen Teil des Banners aus drei Lagen gestaltet um dem Banner etwas Dimension zu geben. 

Der Luftballon auf der linken Seite ist wieder aus dem Set Birthday Essentials. Das untere Ende der Schnur habe ich hinter eines der Geschenke gesteckt. 

 

In the upper half of the card I added another text, that also creates a connection from the car to the birthday theme.  The "you're a classic" is originally made to go with the bookshelf from Classic Bookshelf, but it works as well on this card. I cut the words from black cardstock and adhered the "classic" to a banner. This is from Valentine Playing Cards. Again I shaded the pieces with Ohuhu markers. I also made the longer banner part from three layers to add some dimension to the banner.

The balloon on the left side is again from Birthday Essentials. I tucked the lower end of the string behind one of the presents.

 

 Ich habe das Oval mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann auch die Elemente auf dem Oval - bis auf die Texte - damit angebracht. 

Aus cremefarbenem Cardstock habe ich dann noch einige Sterne gestanzt und sie auf der Karte verteilt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I used foam tape to adhere the oval to the background, then also glued the elements on the oval - except for the texts - down with tape.

From cream colored cardstock I punched a few stars and glued these to the card. As a last step I glued the card panel to a white note card.

Dieses Werk - Karte kann man es wohl nicht mehr nennen -, das als einfache Geburtstagskarte für meine lesefreudige Nichte startete, ist total eskaliert. Oder besser ich beim Werkeln... Und so ist das nicht nur eine Karte, sondern ein Bücherstapel mit Karte und Gutscheinkartenhalte und so schwer wie die Karte geworden ist, könnte sie wohl auch als Briefbeschwerer herhalten. ;)

 

Hello everyone!

This project - I don't think you can call it a card anymore -, that started as a simple birthday card  for my book loving niece, escalated quickly. Or me while working on it.... And so this is no longer just a card but a stack of books with a card and  a giftcard holder and I guess with its weight it might also work as a paper weight. ;)

 

 

 

 Das Projekt startete mit den Book Giftcard Holder und It's a Book Tag Stanzensets von TheStampMarket. Meine Idee war, einen kleinen Bücherstapel daraus zu werkeln und eines der Bücher aufklappbar zu machen, um dort den Grußtext zu integrieren. 

Ich habe den Giftcard Holder drei Mal, den Tag zweimal ausgestanzt und dafür verschiedene Blau- und Grüntöne an Cardstock benutzt. Damit die Bücher etwas Dimension bekommen, habe ich den Deckel jeweils mit einer Lage dickem Cardstock hinterlegt. Ich hatte zuvor einige Papierblöcke auseinander genommen und hier einfach die Rückseiten benutzt. 

Die Bücher habe ich dann mit matt-silbernen Rahmen, gemacht mit einem der Wandpaneele aus dem Living Room AddOn von ScrappyTails, beklebt bzw. mit einem schwarzen doppelten Rahmen mit einem Stempel aus dem Large Linked Labels Set von TheGreetery dekoriert. Die Rahmen habe ich hier beim Stempeln verlängert, damit sie das Buchcover komplett füllen. 

Die Bücher habe ich dann aufeinander geklebt und damit der Stapel nicht zu flach wird, jedes Buch noch mit Streifen aus zwei Lagen der Paperpack-Rückseiten hinterlegt. Woher das Gewicht des Werks kommt, dürfte damit klar sein. 

 

The project started with the Book Giftcard Holder and the It's a Book Tag die sets by TheStampMarket. I had the idea of making a small stack of books and make one of the books fold open to write my personal message into it.

I die cut the Giftcard Holder three times, the Book Tag two times using different shades of blues and greens. To give the books some dimension I backed each top layer with a layer cut from thick cardstock. I had just taken apart some paper pads and simply used the backs of these here. 

I decorated the books with a matte silver frame, made one of the wall decorations from Living Room AddOn by ScrappyTails, or a black frame, stamped with the Large Linked Labels stamp set by TheGreetery. I made those tags longer to cover the whole book fronts. 

Then I stacked the books. To have even more dimension I backed each book with strips cut from two layers of the paper pad backs. I guess I know where the weight  of this project comes from.  

 

 

 Auf das oberste Buch habe ich ein YAY! aus dem Happy Headlines Stanzenset von Concord and 9th aufgeklebt. Es ist aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit einer Schattenlage aus schwarzem Cardstock versehen. Darunter habe ich ein Banner aus schwarzem Cardstock aufgeklebt, auf das ich weiß ein "it's your day" aufembosst habe. Und darunter, direkt auf das Buch, habe ich dann HB2U gestempelt. Beide Texte sind aus dem Bitty Birthday Wishes von MFT.

Auf das große hellblaue Buch habe ich dann ein Congratulations aus dem Bunny Tales Stempelset von TheGreetery längs aufgestempelt. 

Die Sprechblase samt dem darin aufgestempelten Hello Bookworm sind von LawnFawn, ebenso wie der Text "hope your day is" darunter. Der ist wieder weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

Außerdem habe ich hier dann noch einige Sterne aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock auf den Lagen verteilt aufgeklebt. 

 

Onto the top book I glued a YAY! from the Happy Headlines die set by Concord and 9th. I cut it from green cardstock and backed it with a shadow layer cut from black cardstock. Under it I put a banner from black cardstock, that I white heat embossed a "it's your day" onto. And under that I stamped "HB2U" directly onto the book cover. Both texts are from Bitty Birthday Wishes by MFT.  

Onto the large blue book I stamped a "congratulations" from Bunny Tales by TheGreetery.  

The speech bubble and the "hello bookworm" I stamped green into it are by LawnFawn, so is the "hope your day is" text. That is again white heat embossed onto black cardstock. 

I also glued some stars, punched from matte-silver cardstock, onto the books.  

 

 

Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich dann den Text, der oben rechts schon angefangen hat, mit einem "literally one for the books" ergänzt. 

An einigen der Bücher habe ich kleine Fähnchen auf die Seiten geklebt, die wie Lesezeichen aussehen.

 

In the lower area of the card I finished the text that started at the bottom right with a "literally one for the books". 

I glued small banners onto the pages of a few of the books, making them look like bookmarks. 

 

 

 Das kleine Buch ganz oben lässt sich aufklappen. 

Ich habe weiße Seiten innen in das Buch geklebt, die ich einfach aus weißem Cardstock geschnitten habe. Dann habe ich die Ränder schmal abgeklebt und mit Distress Ink Lost Shadow den Birthday Background von MFT aufgestempelt. 

Mit schwarzer Tinte habe ich dann die Texte von MFT und TheStampMarket auf die Seiten gestempelt. Das "enjoy" ist tatsächlich weiß auf einen Kreis aus schwarzem Cardstock embosst. 

Als Deko habe ich hier ein paar kleine silberne Sterne sowie, passend zu einer der Textzeilen, silberne Konfetti aufgeklebt. 

Mit einem grünen Fineliner habe ich einen Rahmen aufgemalt.  

 

The small book on the very top can be opened. 

I glued some white pages to the inside, simply cutting those with my paper cutter. Then I masked off a small area all around each page and stamped the Birthday Background by MFT with Distress Ink Lost Shadow onto the pages. 

Then I added the rest of the texts using stamps by MFT and TheStampMarket. The "enjoy" is actually white heat embossed onto a circle, cut from black cardstock. 

As decoration I added a few small silver stars and, perfectly going with one of the text lines, some small silver hexagons that look like confetti. 

I drew a frame onto the pages using a green fineliner. 

 

 

 Auch das große hellblaue Buch lässt sich aufklappen. Auch hier habe ich weiße Seiten mit aufgestempeltem Birthday Background eingeklebt. 

 Mit grüner Tinte habe ich dann Strahlen aus dem Set YAY von TheGreetery auf die linke Seite gestempelt und silberne Sterne auf die gestempelten Sterne aufgeklebt. In die Mitte habe ich dann ein großes Happy Birthday aus dem Set Birthday Balloons Greetings von TheStampMarket geklebt. Den habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mit der Schere augeschnitten. 

Auch hier habe ich dann einen Rahmen, diesmal mit einem schwarzen Fineliner, aufgemalt und auch die rechte Seite mit ein paar Sternchen dekoriert. Auf die kam später ein persönlicher Text. 

 

Also the large light blue book can be opened. Again I glued white pages into the book and stamped the Birthday Background onto them. 

With green ink I stamped some rays from YAY by TheGreetery onto the left page and put little silver stars onto the stamped ones. Into the center I glued a large "happy birthday" from Birthday Balloons Greetings by TheStampMarket. I white heat embossed that onto black cardstock and cut it out with my scissors. 

Again I drew a frame onto the pages, this time using a black fineliner, and decorated the right page with a few more silver stars. Onto that page I wrote a personal message later. 

 

 

 

 So, und als ob das alles noch nicht reichen würde, habe ich aus dem dunkeltüris-farbenen Buch ganz unten auch noch einen Giftcard Holder gemacht - dafür ist die Stanze ja eigentlich gedacht. Zieht man an der Schleife, kommt die Geschenkkarte zum Vorschein.

 

And if all of that wouldn't have been enough I also turned the dark turquoise book in the very bottom into a giftcard holer - that's actually what this die is made for. When you pull the large bow the giftcard slides out. 

 

 

 

 Die Schleife ist mit der Bookmark Bow von TheGreetery gemacht. Damit sie unter meinem Bücherstapel auch noch herausschaut, habe ich die Enden etwas verlängert. Ich habe die Teile aus drei verschiedenen Tönen grünen Cardstocks gestanzt und nach dem Schattieren aufeinander geklebt. 

Oben auf die Schleifenenden habe ich dann einen Make a Wish Text, wieder aus dem Birthday Balloons Greetings Set, aufgeklebt. Er ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und fast rechteckig ausgeschnitten. Nur um den Bogen des S und den oberen Teil des K habe ich  herumgeschnitten. 

Hinten an die Enden der Schleife habe ich dann eine Geschenkkarte geklebt, die im Inneren des Buchs verschwindet. Nach dem Abnehmen der Geschenkkarte kann die Schleife dann auch als richtiges Lesezeichen benutzt werden.

 

The bow is made using the Bookmark Bow by TheGreetery. To make the ends of the bow peek out from the bottom of the stack of books I made the ends a bit longer. I cut the pieces from three different shades of green cardstock and, after shading them slightly, glued it together. 

Onto the tails of the bow I glued a "make a wish" text, again from Birthday Balloons Greetings. I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock and cut it out nearly as a rectangle. I only cut around the bottom of the S and the top of the K: 

To the back of the bow tails I glued a gift card, that gets tucked into the book.  After taking off the giftcard the bow can be used as a real bookmark. 

 

 

Und zum Schluss habe ich noch ein schräg aufgenommenes Foto, damit Ihr Euch die Höhe der "Karte" etwas besser vorstellen könnt.  Wie gut dass ich sie persönlich übergeben konnte, sonst hätte ich sie wohl als Paket verschicken müssen.... ;)

 

And I also have  a picture taken at an angle so you can imagine the height of the stack of books. Luckily I was able to hand deliver it, otherwise I think I would have had to send it as a package.... ;)

Vor kurzem habe ich eine Bestellung bei TheStampMarket in den USA aufgegeben. Und das Mixer-Stanzenset war einer der Artikel, die ich gekauft habe. Hier ist meine erste Karte damit.

 

Hello everyone!

A little ago I placed an order with TheStampMarket in the States. The Mixer die set was one of the items I purchased and this is my first card with it.

 

Die Karte ist so hoch ausgefallen, dass ich sie kurzerhand in einen Shadow Box Frame gesetzt habe. Den Grund dafür zeige ich Euch gleich. Aber so waren die Kanten zumindest sauber und geschlossen. Den Rahmen habe ich mit dem Shadow Box Punchboard von We R Makers aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht. 

 

The card turned out so thick that I decided to put it into a shadow box frame. You'll see why in just a second. But this way the sides were clean and closed. 

I made the frame from black cardstock using the Shadow Box Punchboard by We R Makers.  

 

 

Wie es sich für einen Standmixer gehört kann der obere Querarm natürlich nach unten gekippt werden, und so sieht die Stanze eigentlich auch aus. Ich habe das Stanzteil einfach in zwei Teile geteilt und mit einem Brad verbunden.  

Den Quirl habe ich aus einem anderen Stanzenset von Action hinzugefügt - er ist eigentlich das Ende eines Schneebesens. Aber da ich den Arm aufklappbar gemacht habe, wofür die Stanze nicht wirklich ausgelegt ist, musst da einfach was hin. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus weißem Cardstock. Im unteren Bereich habe ich mit Distress Ink Scorched Timber einen Streifen gewischt und dann mit der selben Tinte den Woodgrain Backdrop von LawnFawn für das Holzmuster aufgestempelt. Die Küchenfliesen darüber sind mit Stempeln von BoBunny gemacht. Ich habe den Bereich erst mit Victorian Velvet gewischt und dann mit der selben Tinte das Quadrat flächenfüllend darüber gestempelt. Ein nicht perfekter Abdruck war mir ganz recht, die Fliesen sollten aussehen wie handgemacht. Deswegen habe ich auch die Fuge, die ich mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt habe, nicht mit dem Linieal gezogen.  

 I just had to make the arm of the mixer movable. Originally the die looks like the mixer on the second piece. I simply cut the main piece into two pieces and connected them with a brad.

The beater is from a different die set by Action - originally this is the end of a  whisk. But since I made the top be able to move up there had to be something. 

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock. I inked a strip at the bottom with Distress Ink Scorched Timber and then stamped the wood pattern onto it using the same ink and the Woodgrain Backdrop by LawnFawn. The tiles above the counter are made with stamps by BoBunny. I first inked the area with Victorian Velvet and then, again using the same ink, stamped the squares onto it until the cardstock was filled. I didn't mind a not so perfect image because I wanted the tiles to look like handmade. That's also why I didn't use a ruler to draw the joints with a white gel pen. 

Und hier ist nun der Grund für die extra dicke Karte. Ich musste einfach einen "elektrischen" Shaker einbauen. Sorry, den Ton im Video musste ich rausschneiden, deswegen könnt Ihr das Surren des Motors und das Rascheln des Shakers nicht hören. Aber ich hatte sowohl das Fenster offen und die Vögel waren sehr laut im Video zu hören, außerdem lief im Hintergrund ein Bastelvideo und auch hier war die Stimme klar zu hören und verstehen. 

Die Technik hinter der Karte ist gar nicht so kompliziert - wer schon mal eine LED-Karte gemacht hat, dem ist sie nicht fremd. Hier ist statt des Lichts nur ein Vibrationsmotor in den Stromkreis eingebaut. Der steckt in einem kleinen Loch im Hintergrund, oben ist die Rührschüssel aufgeklebt. Hinter dem beweglichen Arm der Küchenmaschine habe ich eine Mutter aufgeklebt, die durch ihr Gewicht beim Herunterschieben des Arms auf ein Stück Kopierpapier drückt. Auf dem ist das leitfähige Tape aufgeklebt und so wird der Stromkreis geschlossen. 

 

And this is the reason for the extra thick card. I just had to make an "electric shaker". Sorry, I had to delete the sound in the video so you can't hear the buzzing of the motor and the rustle of the shaker. But I had the window open and the birds were very loudly audible in the video. I was also running a craft video on my laptop in the background and the voice was also clearly audible. 

The technique behind this card isn't as complicated as it may seem - if you've ever made a light up card than you know the technique. I just replaced the lights with a small vibration motor. I put it through a small hole behind the bowl and glued the bowl on top. Behind the arm of the mixer I glued a small bolt. With its weight it presses down a strip of paper under the background. To that strip I glued a part of my circuit that gets closed then. 

 

 Die Küchenmaschine habe ich, passend zu den Farben auf meiner Karte, aus hellrosafarbenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt und mit einigen kleinen Herzen aus dunkelrotem Spiegel-Cardstock dekoriert. Die Dekostreifen etc. sind aus mattsilbernem Metallic-Cardstock. 

Das "yum" kommt im selben Stanzenset wie der Mixer. Ich habe es aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und auf den Arm der Maschine geklebt, so dass es so aussieht, als wäre das die Herstellermarke. 

Beim Einkleben der Elemente habe ich die meisten dann nochmal mit 3D Tape hinterlegt, damit die Szene nicht flach im Rahmen liegt.  

 

Matching the colors on my card I created my mixer from light pink mirror cardstock and decorated it with a few small hearts cut from dark red mirror cardstock. The decorative elements are made from matte silver metallic cardstock.

The "yum" comes with the mixer in one die set. I die cut it from black cardstock and adhered it to the top of the mixer so it looks like it's the machine brand.

When putting the card together I backed most of the elements with foam tape to not have a flat scene in the frame. 

 

 

Die Rührschüssel ist als das Shaker-Element gestaltet und aus mattsilbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Gefüllt ist er mit kleinen rosafarbenen und roten Herzen sowie silbernen Mini-Kügelchen. 

Beim Backen braucht man ja so allerhand Zutaten und ich schaffe es nie, alles schon während des Backens wegzuräumen. Und so stehen auch hier ein Zuckerstreuer, zwei Säcke Mehl, ein Butterstück sowie ein Löffel und ein Teigschaber neben der Maschine auf der Küchenarbeitsplatte. Die sind aus dem selben Stanzenset von Action wie der Schneebesen, den ich für den Rührer der Maschine benutzt habe,  und aus dem Stempelset Baked with Love von LawnFawn. Aus dem Set ist auch ein Teil des Textes. Ich habe das "sprinkled" aus Sprinkled with Joy mit einem "baked with love" kombiniert und alles weiß auf pinkfarbenen Cardstock embosst. 

 

I turned the bowl into a shaker element and cut it from matte silver metallic cardstock. Then I filled it with small pink and red heart confetti and some tiny silver beads.

When baking you need quite some ingridients and I never get everything put away while making the dough. So there are a sugar shaker, two bags of flour, a pack of butter, a spoon and a scraper laying around on the countertop next to the mixer. Those are all from the same die set by Action that the whisk came from and from Baked with Love by LawnFawn. From this set is also a part of my sentiment. I combined the "sprinkled" from Sprinkled with Joy with the "with love" from Baked with Love and white heat embossed the words onto pink cardstock. 

Aus dem Sending Good Vibes Stempelset von TheStampMarket ist dann der Text über dem Mixer. Bei einer vibrierenden Karte konnte ich einfach nicht anders. Allerdings fiel mir das erst nach dem Aufkleben der Küchenmaschine ein, als alles schon im Rahmen saß. Ich war also mutig und haben den ovalen Stempel einfach mit den Fingern aufgelegt und angedrückt. Der Abdruck ist nicht perfekt geworden, aber das passt zum Look der Fliesen dahinter. 

Oben an den Rand des Rahmens habe ich einen Ofenhandschuh von PapertreyInk angeklebt. Den habe ich mit einem kleinen Herz dekoriert und aus rosafarbenem und rotem Cardstock gestanzt. 

 

To the top of the frame I added a oven mitt made with a die by PapertreyInk. I decorated it with a small heart and cut it from pink and red cardstock. 

 I just had to add the "sending good vibes" from Sending Good Vibes by TheStampMarket above the mixer. It was too good to not use on a vibrating card. But I only had the idea after putting everything together and glueing it into the frame. I was courageous and just laid down the oval stamp onto the card, then pressed it down with my fingers. The impression isn't perfect but it works great with the look of the tiles. 

Eine besondere Karte zur Hochzeit

 

Hallo Ihr  Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine besondere Hochzeitskarte für Euch - nicht, weil sie so extra toll, noch nie dagewesen ist, sondern weil sie mir so am Herzen lag. Eine meiner Töchter durfte Trauzeugin einer Freundin sein und hat mich gefragt, ob ich eine passende Karte machen möchte. Und weil ich weiß, wie wichtig ihr das war, war es mir die Karte auch. Deswegen stand ich mir beim Basteln wohl ein wenig selbst im Weg und die Karte hat länger gedauert als geplant, aber sie ist rechtzeitig fertig geworden und alle sind zufrieden damit. 

 

Hello everyone!

 Today I am sharing with you a special wedding card. Not because it's so new, never seen before, but because it was important to me to make it "perfect". One of my daughter was maid of honor at a friend's wedding. And because I knew how important that was to her the card was so important to me. And that's also why it took me way longer than planned, I was questioning everything. But it was done in time and everyone was happy with it. 

 

Das Brautpaar hat einen kleinen Hund, den wollte/sollte ich mit auf die  Karte bringen. Als Hauptmotiv fand ich das aber unpassend. Also habe ich eine Trifold  Card gemacht und der Hund darf die erste Lage zieren.

Passend zu den Farben der Hochzeit habe ich in Salbei und gräulichem Beige gearbeitet und alles mit weiß kombiniert. 

Für den Kartenrohling habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock in DinA4 quer gedrittelt, das sind die drei Ebenen meiner Karte. Aus der später obersten Lage habe ich dann ein Fenster herausgeschnitten und darauf dann erst einen Rahmen salbeigrünen Cardstocks, darauf dann beigen Cardstock geklebt. In den beigen Cardstock habe ich mit einer der Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangles von LawnFawn ein Fenster gestanzt. Per Partial Diecutting habe ich das Fenster verlängert, so dass es über die komplette Breite der Karte ging. 

Hinter das Fenster habe ich dann Vellum geklebt

 

The bride and groom have a little dog, that I wanted/was asked to include on the card. I didn't think it would fit as the main image. So I made a trifold card and put the dog on the first layer.

Matching the colors of the wedding I used sage and a grey-ish beige and combined white with it.

For the card base I used a piece of white cardstock in A4 size and divided it with  vertical score lines into three equal parts.  From the later top layer I cut a window and put a frame from sage green cardstock, then a frame from beige cardstock onto it. From this beige cardstock I have cut a window using one of the Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangles by LawnFawn, making  it wider by doing partial die cutting so it fits all across the width of the card.

I glued vellum behind this window. 

 

 

 Auf das Vellum habe ich dann ein "zur Hochzeit" geklebt, gemacht mit einer Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen. Ich habe das Wort jeweils aus weißem und salbeigrünem Cardstock gestanzt und beide aufeinander geklebt. Dann habe ich das O aus Hochzeit herausgeschnitten und es durch einen Ring aus hellgrünem Cardstock ersetzt. Aus dem schaut der kleine Hund heraus. 

Ich hatte zwar extra einen Hundestempel gekauft, der passte dann aber so gar nicht. Also habe ich mir mit einem Ausmalbild verholfen, das ich am PC in der richtigen Größe ausgedruckt habe. Ganz so wie auch auf der richtigen Hochzeit, trägt der kleine Hund eine salbeigrüne Fliege. Und weil er eigentlich hellbraun ist, das aber so gar nicht zur Karte passte, habe ich auf eine Coloration einfach komplett verzichtet. 

Hinter den Schriftzug habe ich mit dem Balloonstrings Background von MFT einige weiße Linien auf das Vellum embosst und als Deko dann einige kleine Herzen sowie klare Glitzersteine verteilt. 

 

Onto the vellum I adhered  the die cut words "for your wedding", made using a die by Charlie und Paulchen. I die cut the words both from white and sage cardstock and stacked both. Then I cut the O out of the word Hochzeit and replaced it with a ring, cut from light green cardstock. Out of  it the little dog is peeking out.

I had bought a dog image just for this card, but it didn't  fit as planned. So I simply went with a coloring book page that I printed in the right size on my computer. And just like on the real wedding the dog is wearing a sage green bowtie. Originally the dog  is a light brown, but that really didn't go with the rest of the card. So I simply skipped the coloring.

Behind the words I white heat embossed a few wonky lines using part of the Balloonstring Background by MFT, then added some small white hearts and clear rhinestones as decoration.  

 

 Den Hund habe ich dann mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Und weil ich die Querstreifen ganz mutig bei quasi fast komplett fertiger Karte aufembosst habe, hat sich das Vellum durch die Hitze ein wenig gewellt. Ich konnte das dann mit einer Nacht unter einem schweren Buch ausbügeln, auf den Bildern sieht man es noch. 

Um die Karte später verschlossen zu halten, habe ich noch ein Stück weißes Twine um die Karte gewickelt und unter dem H und dem Z festgeklebt. Dann habe ich es rechts zur Schleife gebunden.

And because I was very courageous and heat embossed the  stripes onto the vellum when the card was nearly finished completly the vellum warped a bit. I was able to flaten it by putting the card under a heavy book for one night. But I only did that after I had taken the pictures.

To keep the card closed later I wrapped a piece  of white twine around the card and glued it down under the H and Z. Then I tied it to a bow on the right side.

 

 

 So sieht die Karte dann aus, wenn man die oberste Lage aufklappt. 

Auf diesem Bild könnt Ihr sehen, dass ich die Rückseite der ersten Lage ebenfalls beklebt habe. So ist der Kleber, mit dem das Vellum aufgeklebt ist, sowie der Kleber hinter den Dekoelementen der Vorderseite versteckt. Dafür habe ich einfach zwei zweitere, identische Rahmen sowie den Text samt Ring noch einmal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und von hinten an gleicher Stelle angeklebt. Die winzigen Klebespuren hinter den Glitzersteinen und Herzen fallen so wenig auf, dass ich aufs Abdecken verzichtet habe.

Here you can also see that I glued something onto the back of the vellum, too. I wanted to cover the  glue I used to adhere the vellum and also the one behind the elements I glued onto the vellum. I simply cut two more identical frames and also the text and circle again from white cardstock and glued them onto the back of the vellum, putting them in the same position as they are on the front. The tiny glue dots behind the rhinestones and hearts were nearly invisible so I didn't glue any element behind those.

 

 

 Den zweiten Bereich der Karte habe ich ebenfalls wieder zuerst mit salbeigründem, dann mit beigem Cardstock beklebt. Auf den beigen Carsdtock habe ich mit weißer Folie und einer Hotfoil Plate von Spellbinders einen Punkterahmen auffoliert. Zum Glück funktioniert auch hier das selbe Prinzip wie beim Partial Diecutting, so konnte ich ihn passend auf die Kartenbreite verlängern. 

 

The second layer of the card I again covered with some sage cardstock first, then put a layer of beige cardstock on top. Onto the beige cardstock I hotfoiled a dotted frame using white foil and a hotfoil plate by Spellbinders. Luckily the same technique as partial die cutting also works when hotfoiling, so I was able to make the frame go all around the cardstock. 

 

 

 Auch hier habe ich wieder einige der Balloonstrings von MFT weiß auf den Hintergrund embosst, diesmal ein paar Linien mehr. 

Darauf kamen dann die Namen des Brautpaares. Ich habe die Buchstaben mit dem Skinny Tall Alphabet von Scrapbook(dot)com gestanzt, das Und-Zeichen ist von SU. Alle Buchstaben besteht aus zwei Lagen weißen Cardstocks mit einer Lage salbeigrün obenauf. 

Für die Deko kamen dann wieder kleine weiße Herzen und Glitzersteine zum Einsatz. Für die Herzen habe ich übrigens eine Stanze von Create a Smile benutzt. Außerdem habe ich einige dunkelgrüne Blüten auf und um die Buchstaben verteilt, gemacht mit einer Stanze von Magnolia. Die größeren Herzen und die Blüten habe ich dann noch mit kleinen Blättern, ebenfalls wieder mit einer Stanze von Create a Smile gemacht, hinterlegt, in den Blütenmitten habe ich kleine weiße Perlen geklebt. 

Der Grußtext unter den Namen ist wieder weiß auf salbeigrünen Cardstock foliert, diesmal mit einer Hotfoil Plate von Kartenkunst. 

 

Again I white heat embossed some of the balloonstring by MFT onto the background, this time a few more lines.

On top I put the names of the bride and groom. I die cut the  letters using the Skinny Tall Alphabet by Scrapbook(dot)com, the ampersand is by SU. All letters are made from two layers of white cardstock with one layer  of sage green cardstock on top.

As decoration I used small white hearts and rhinestones again. The hearts are made using a die by Create a Smile. I also added some dark green blossoms onto and around the letters, those I made with a die by Magnolia. I put small leaves, again made with a die by Create a Smile, behind the larger hearts and flowers, the flower centers I made with a tiny white pearl.

The textstrip under the names is white hot foiled onto sage cardstock, this time using a hotfoil plate by Kartenkunst. 

 

 Da die Buchstaben durch das Layern des Cardstocks schon etwas höher sind und die Blumen und Herzen teilweise noch obenauf kleben, habe ich den Textstreifen darunter mit dünnem 3D Tape  aufgeklebt.

 

Since the letteres are stacked and on some there are flowers and hearts glued on top I used thin foam tape to adhere the text strip.

 

 Und so sieht die komplett geöffnete Karte dann aus. Im Bereich in der Mitte ist Platz für einen persönlichen Text, im unteren Bereich, der die Rückseite der zweiten Lage ist, habe ich noch eine Tasche für ein Geldgeschenk eingearbeitet.

 

And this is the completly opened card. In the center there's room for a personal message, to the bottom, which is actually the back of the second layer, I added a little pocket for some money.

 

 

 Die Tasche habe ich wieder aus salbeigrünem Cardstock gemacht. An den beiden Seiten sowie unten befindet sich jeweils eine Lasche, die ich nach hinten gebogen und auf die Karte geklebt habe. Den oberen Bereich habe ich abgerundet. Natürlich hatte ich keine Kreisstanze mit einem Durchmesser von mindestens 30 cm. Wenn hier schon ein Pizzateller als Vorlage dienen muss, dann weiß man, dass ich hier vollen Einsatz gegeben habe... ;)

Die Tasche  habe ich dann unten mit einem kleinen Streifen des beigen Cardstocks sowie einigen übrig gebliebenen Blümchen und Herzen dekoriert. Außerdem habe ich einen Rahmen mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.

 

The pocket I made from sage cardstock again. There's a flap on both sides and the bottom, I  glued those to the card. The top edge I cut into a rounded shape. Well, of course I didn't have a circle die cut with even more than 12". When you use the pizza plates from your kitchen to create the perfect size of circle, then you know you've given everything.... ;)

I decorated  the pocket with a small  strip of the beige cardstock and some left over hearts and flowers. I also drew a frame with a white gel pen.
