Eine affige Karte - oder so

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Von Create a Smile gibt es ja zu jeder Bestellung einen Mini-Stempel als Goodie. Bis auf die erste Serie habe ich die alle komplett - und ja, auch hier schlägt das Full-Set-Syndrom zu - und das auch dank der Tauschwilligen in der FB-Gruppe. Nun gibt es eine neue Serie und ich habe hier einen Affen aus einer älteren Kollektion gegen einen Affen aus der ganz neuen getauscht. Ich finde es immer schön, wenn die Karte, mit der der Tauschstempel kommt, dann auch irgendwie zum Tausch passt. Und so habe ich diese Affenkarte gewerkelt. Der Affe unten ist übrigens der, den ich in Mini ertauscht habe....

 Der zweite Affe, den ich doppelt hatte, hat leider nicht so ganz ins Kartenkonzept gepasst.

With every Create a Smile order you get a mini stamp as a gift. I have all the series except the first one complete - and yes, Full-Set-Syndrom also kicks in here - also because of the exchange post in the FB group. A new series just started and I exchanged a monkey from an older series with the one from the new series. I always like  when the card I send the mini stamp in goes with the exchanged image(s). So I made this monkey card, the monkey on the bottom is the one I got as a mini.

The second monkey, that I had a second one of, didn't fit the card concept.

 

Da der ertauschte Affe mit dem Bananen-Telefon  telefoniert, kam mir die Idee, die Karte optisch in zwei Teile zu teilen und in jedes einen telefonierenden Affen zu setzen. 

Ich habe hier aus schwarzem Cardstock den Peppermint Stripes Backdrop von LawnFawn ausgestanzt und bis auf einen Streifen etwa in der Mitte alle anderen Streifen weggeschnitten. Damit er in die richtige Richtung geht, habe ich das Stanzteil dann auch noch aufs Gesicht gelegt. 

Den oberen/rechten Teil habe ich mit blauem, den unteren/linken Teil mit grünem Cardstock hinterlegt. Die Cardstockstücke habe ich jeweils mit Distress Ink (Rustic Wilderness und Salty Ocean) ein wenig gewischt und dann auf beide Teile weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Über alles habe ich dann erst den Tropical Leaves Backdrop und darauf dann einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames, beides ebenfalls von LawnFawn, geklebt. Den Blätterrahmen habe ich aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und die Blätter mit Copics in unterschiedlichen Grünkombis coloriert. Den Rahmen obenauf habe ich wieder aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt.

 

The monkey I got in exchange is one making a call with his banana phone. So I got the idea, to seperate the card into two areas and put one monkey with a banana phone onto each.

I die cut the Peppermint Stripes Backdrop by LawnFawn from black cardstock and cut off all the stripes except one, that's placed about in the center. To have the stripe go the right direction I also turned the die cut on its face.

 I backed the upper/right half with blue, the lower/left one with green cardstock. I inked both pieces lightly with Distress Ink (Rustic Wilderness and Salty Ocean) and then spalttered white acrylic paint onto both pieces.

I first put the Tropical Leaves Backdrop on top of the background and then, on top of that, a Stitched Rectangle Frame, both again from LawnFawn. I die cut the leaf frame from light green cardstock and colored the leaves in different combinations of greens with Copics.  The frame on top I die cut again from black cardstock.

 

 Der Affe auf der rechten Seite hängt mit seinem Schwanz von einer Liane herab. Eigentlich hält er keine Banane in der Hand, die ist einzeln im Set enthalten. Ich habe den zweiten Arm des Affen abgeschnitten und nur das vordere Ende als Hand an die Banane geklebt.

Die Sprechblase ist aus dem All the Speech Bubbles Stempelset von LawnFawn, das "hallo?!" darin aus dem Am Telefon Set von Create a Smile. Ich habe die Sprechblase gelb coloriert und mit schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt. 

 

The monkey on the right side is dangling from a vine, that he's clinging to with his tail. Originally he doesn't hold a banana, this is an individual image from the set. I cut off the second arm of this monkey and glued just the end to the banana to create a hand.

The speech bubble is from All the Speech Bubbles by LawnFawn, the "hello?!" I stamped into it is from Am Telefon by Create a Smile. I colored the speech bubble yellow and put a black shadow behind it.

 

 Der Affe im linken Teil der Karte ist tatsächlich so im Set enthalten. Auch hier habe ich eine Sprechblase mit dem selben Text angebracht und habe nur die Spitze, die unten an den Sprechblasen angebracht ist, durch eine in die andere Richtung zeigende ersetzt. 

Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert. 

Zwischen den beiden Bananen-Telefonen habe ich dann noch ein klassisches Telefonkabel gespannt. Da ich hier keine passende Stanze hatte, habe ich einfach viermal die Luftschlange aus dem Balloon Shaker Window and Frame Set von MFT  aus schwarzem Glossy-Cardstock gestanzt und an den Enden aneinander geklebt. Eines der Teile habe ich dabei umgedreht. Wer erinnert sich auch noch daran, wie sich das Telefonkabel immer verheddert hat...?

Auf der rechten Seite habe ich unten dann auch noch ein "vielen lieben Dank" als Text aufgeklebt. Das ist aus dem Set Bunte Texte von Create a Smile und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

The monkey in the left half of the card is actually drawn like this. Again I  added a speech bubble with the same text, I just changed the "tip" at the bottom of the speech bubble with one that points in the other direction.

I colored all images with Copics.

Between those two banana phones I added a phone cord. I didn't have a die for that so I simply cut the streamers from Balloon Shaker Window and Frame by MFT four times from black glossy cardstock and glued the pieces together. I turned one of the pieces. Who else remembers the way the phone cord always got twisted....?

On the right bottom of the card I also added a "thank you so much" text, that I white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Zwischen den einzelnen Lagen der Karte befindet sich jeweils 3D Tape. 

Als Deko habe ich einige kleine Herzen aufgeklebt - weiße im blauen, blaue im grünen Bereich der Karte und neben dem Text. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put foam tape between the different layers of the card.

As decoration I added some small clay hearts - white ones in the blue, blue ones in the green area of the card and on the text.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

Heute habe ich noch eine Karte mit dem Januar-Release von Concord and 9th, denn auch an den Zapfsäulen im Retro-Look konnte ich nicht vorbei. Hier ist eine Freundschaftskarte damit entstanden, und die passt definitiv nicht nur für Männer.

Today I have another card with products from the january release by Concord and 9th because I also couldn't resist those gas pumps in a retro look. I made a friendship card with them and this is not only great for men.

 

Ich wollte eine Karte im Retro-Look und habe zuerst die Zapfsäulen in gedeckten Farben gestaltet. Und beim Hintergrund ging dann alles schief...

Ich habe den Radiating Halftone Background von MFT mit grau-blauer Tinte auf hellblauen Cardstock gestempelt, dann den Cardstock minimal im Misti verschoben und die Punkte leicht versetzt noch einmal weiß aufembosst. Das ganze habe ich im Querformat gemacht, denn so wollte ich die Karte eigentlich gestalten. Das ging sich dann aber nicht aus und ich habe ihn um 90 Grad gedreht. Dadurch macht das Muster aber irgendwie nicht mehr so richtig Sinn. Und die Farben waren mir auch viel zu grell. Also habe ich den Cardstock erstmal mit etwas dunklerer Tinte gewischt, wirklich besser hat es das auch nicht gemacht. Außerdem finde ich ihn eigentlich zu unruhig und zu wenig retro... 

 

I wanted a card in a retro look and first created the gas pumps in muted colors. Once I started the background everything went wrong...

I stamped the Radiating Halftone Background by MFT with grey-ish blue ink onto light blue cardstock. I then moved the cardstock slightly in my Misti and white heat embossed the pattern again just a tad bit offset. I worked in landscape orientation, because that's how I wanted to make my card. But that didn't work out later and I turned the cardstock to portrait - now the pattern doesn't really make sense anymore. I also think the colors are way too bright. So I first darkened the bottom of the cardstock with some slightly darker ink, which didn't do much. I also think, the pattern is very busy and not as retro as I would have liked...

 

Die Zapfsäulen habe ich mit den Stanzen aus dem Set Fueled with Love gemacht, die gestempelten Elemente sind aus dem dazugehörigen Stempelset. 

Ich habe eine gelbe und zwei rot/koralle Farbenen Zapfsäulen gemacht und alle Teile mit Copics schattiert. Die Rahmen der Anzeigen sind aus holographischem, die Griffe an den Zapfhähnen aus schwarzem Spiegel-Cardstock.  

Nach dem Zusammenkleben habe ich die Anzeigenfenster mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Und weil Freundschaft nunmal aus Umarmungen, Lächeln und Küsschen besteht - also natürlich im weiten Sinne - habe ich genau diese Worte auf die Zapfsäulen gestempelt, quasi als "Benzinname". Das Hugs und das Kisses sind dabei aus dem Itty Bitty Love Stempelset von MFT.

Hinter die Zapfsäulen, die einfach total auf dem gepunkteten Hintergrund untergegangen sind, habe ich dann noch einen Strahlenhintergrund aufgeklebt. Der ist aus weißem Cardstock mit der Sfondo Raggi Stanze von Impronte d'Autore gemacht und war wirklich meine letzte Hoffnung, die Karte doch noch irgendwie akzeptabel zu Ende zu bringen. Ein wenig hat es geholfen.

 

The gas pumps I made with the Fueled with Love set, the stamped elements are from the matching stamp set. 

I created one yellow and two red/coral gas pumps and shaded all pieces with Copics. The frames around the monitors I die cut from holographic, the handles from black mirror cardstock.

After putting the gas pumps together I filled the monitors with Glossy Accents. And because hugs, smiles and kisses are a main element of a friendship I decided to stamp these onto the pumps, kind of like the type of fuel you can get at each of the pumps. The "hugs" and the "kisses" are from Itty Bitty Love by MFT.

The gas pumps got kind of lost on the dotted background so I decided to add some rays behind them. I made that from white cardstock using the Sfondo Raggi die by Impronte d'Autore. The rays were actually my last idea to turn this into an okay looking card. It helped a bit.

 

 Auf schwarzen Cardstock habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Fueled with Love Stempelset mit weißem Embossingpulver aufembosst und den Text dabei von zwei- auf einzeilig geändert. Diesen schwarzen Cardstockstreifen habe ich dann gleichzeitig als Boden unter meine Zapfsäulen geklebt, damit die nicht in der Luft schweben.

Darunter war dann noch Platz für ein größeres ausgestanztes thanks. Auch diese Stanze ist von MFT und aus dunkelrotem Cardstock gestanzt. Das Stanzteil habe ich ein wenig schattiert, mit einem schwarzen Wort hinterlegt und es dannn ein wenig schräg unter den schwarzen Textstreifen geklebt.

 

I white heat embossed one of the texts from Fueled with Love onto black cardstock, putting the two lines of the text into one. I then used  this black text strip as a ground for my gas pumps so they don't float on the card.

Under that strip there was some room for a larger die cut thanks. Again I used an older die by MFT here and cut the word from dark red cardstock. I shaded the word lightly, backed it with a black die cut and then glued it onto the card a bit slanted, putting the black cardstock strip over the loop of the k. 

 

Da die einzelnen Lagen sich hier immer irgendwo überlappen habe ich auf 3D Tape verzichtet und alle Element direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Als Deko habe ich noch einige rote Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The layers on this card all overlap somewhere, so I didn't use foam tape and glued all the elements directly onto the background. I added some red clay hearts as decoration and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Share Handmade Kindness Challenge im Februar 2026

Der Februar ist bei uns immer ein recht voller Monat, aber dieses Jahr ist es besonders schlimm. Und da hätte ich doch fast die Share Handmade Kindness Challenge vergessen! Gerade noch rechtzeitig zum Monatsende ist sie mir dann doch noch eingefallen und ich habe es geschafft, eine Karte dafür zu machen. Und hier ist sie.

February usually is a pretty full month for us, but this year it is worse than ever. And so I nearly forgott about this month's Share Handmade Kindness challenge. Right in time I remembered it and I managed to make a card for it. And here it is.

 

Diesmal geht es um eine Karte mit geteilter Front, in die Klappen eingebaut sind, auf denen sich das Motiv befindet. Das ist quer geteilt, man kann es bündig aneinander oder, so wie ich, mit Lücke dazwischen gestalten. 

Die Kartenbasis ist aus weißem Cardstock gemacht. Ich habe die beiden sichtbaren Kartenfront-Teile mit gelb-weißem Designpapier mit Zick-Zack-Muster beklebt. Alle Papiere auf der Karte sind von MFT. 

 

This time the video tutorial is about a gatefold card, where the image is put onto flaps, that are included in the front. The card front is divided into to parts, you can either let those touch or, like I did, have a gap inbetween them.

I made the card base from white cardstock. Then I glued some yellow and white patterned paper with a ric rac pattern onto the two visible pieces of the front. All papers on this card are by MFT.

 

 Für meine Geburtstagskarte habe ich mich für ein Geschenk als "Motiv" entschieden. Das habe ich aus zwei weißen Rechtecken gemacht, auf die ich ebenfalls Designpapier geklebt habe. Verziert habe ich es mit einer großen Schleife, die ich aus Designpapier gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert habe.

Das Wort Birthday besteht aus drei Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks. Ich habe es nur auf den unteren Teil des Geschenks geklebt. 

Der graue Streifen zwischen den Geschenkteilen befindet sich im Inneren der Karte. Ich habe darauf an passender Stelle ein "happy happy happy" aus dem Itty Bitty Birthday Stempelset von MFT weiß aufembosst. 

 

For my birthday card I went with a large present as the "image". I made it from two white rectangles and glued some more patterned paper onto it. I decorated it with a large bow, that I cut from patterned paper and then shaded it with Copics. 

The word birthday is made from three layers of black cardstock. I adhered it to the bottom part of the present only. 

The grey strip between the two parts of the present is glued to the inside of the card. I white heat embossed a "happy happy happy" from Itty Bitty Birthday by MFT onto it.

 

Natürlich darf auch etwas Deko nicht fehlen.

An den unteren Teil des Geschenks habe ich eine Luftschlange aus einem Stanzenset von CreativeDepot angebracht. Die habe ich aus hell- und dunkeltüris farbenen Cardstocks gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics schattiert.

Anschließend habe ich noch einige gelbe Sterne sowie goldene Pailetten auf der Kartenfront verteilt.

 

Of course the card needed some decorations.

I adhered a streamer, made with a die set by CreativeDepot, to the bottom part of the present. I cut the pieces from light and dark aqua cardstock and shaded them with Copics.

Then I added some yellow stars and gold sequins to the card front. 

 

 Hier sieht man, dass die Geschenkteile nicht auf der Karte festgeklebt sind, sondern zwei Klappen bilden. Indem man an den Klappen zieht, kann man die Karte dann öffnen. 

Damit Schleife und Luftschlange das auch aushalten, habe ich die beiden Teile von hinten nochmal mit einer extra Lage, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, hinterlegt.

 

Here you can see that the parts of the presents aren't glued onto the card but are flaps. When you pull them, you can open the card.

To make sure the bow and streamer hold up to that, I backed both with an extra layer, cut from white cardstock. 

 

 Und hier ist die geöffnete Karte.

Da der graue Streifen mit dem weiß aufembossten Text trotz der beiden Pailetten doch etwas traurig aussah, habe ich noch drei dünne Streifen gelben und helltürkis-farbenen Cardstocks aufgeklebt. Wenn die Karte geschlossen ist, sieht man die nicht.

 

And this is the opened card.

The grey strip with the white heat embossed text and the two sequins looked a bit sad so I added three thin strips of yellow and light aqua cardstock to it. Those are hidden when the card is closed.  

 

LawnFawnatics Challenge #215

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

"All things rainbow", so lautet das Thema der aktuellen LawnFawnatics Challenge. Eigentlich wollte ich eine andere Karte machen. Da aber meine Sachen aus dem neusten Release noch nicht da sind, habe ich improvisiert - und zwischenzeitlich das Thema Rainbow irgendwie aus den Augen verloren. Ich habe es dann aber doch noch untergebracht.

"All things rainbow" is the theme of the current LawnFawnatics challenge. I had planned a different card. But my order from the latest release hasn't arrived yet and so I made a few change - and forgot compeltly about the rainbow theme inbetween. But I managed to include it anyways.

 

 Auf meiner Karte sitzt ein Hase im Gras - trotz Regen gut gelaunt, denn es gibt ja Regenschirme!

Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit Versamark und dem Rainy Sky Stencil Regentropfen aufgetragen habe. Die habe ich dann mit Distress Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg embosst und den Cardstock an den Rändern ganz leicht mit Distress Ink Stormy Sky gewischt. 

Quer über den Himmel läuft dann ein Regenbogen. Ich hatte ja schon erwähnt, dass ich das Thema irgendwie aus den Augen verloren habe. Also habe ich den "Regenbogen" einfach frei Hand aus Glitter-Cardstock in Regenbogen verlauf geschnitten, mit einem weißen Gelstift ein paar Glitter-Punkte aufgemalt und den Regenbogen über den Himmel geklebt. 

Als Umrandung für die Szene habe ich dann den Flower Garden Backdrop aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Die  Blattformen zum Hinterlegen der Blätter mit Ausstanzung habe ich aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und etwas versetzt angeklebt. Die Blumen habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und in zartem Lila coloriert. Außerdem habe ich entlang der unteren Kante der Karte noch einige kleine blaue Blümchen aufgeklebt. 

Als optischen Abschluss habe ich auf den Rahmen dann noch einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames aufgeklebt. Den habe ich ebenfalls aus Glitter-Cardstock in Regenbogenverlauf gestanzt. Da ich für den Regenbogen gelb-orange-rot-rosa Cardstock verwendet habe, habe ich für den Rahmen die noch fehlenden Farben des Regenbogens, also grün-blau-lila, verwendet. 

 

On my card there's a bunny sitting in the grass - smiling happily despite the rain. No wonder, he has an umbrella! 

In the background there's a piece of light blue cardstock, that I applied some raindrops to using the Rainy Sky stencil and Versamark ink. I then heat embossed them with Distress Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg and darkened the edges of the cardstock with some Distress Ink Stormy Sky. 

There's a  rainbow across the sky. As I mentioned already, in the heat of crafting I forgot about the rainbow theme. So I simply created my own "rainbow" by free hand cutting the shape from a piece of glitter cardstock in rainbow colors. I added some glittery reflections using a white gel pen and glued the rainbow across the sky.

As a frame for my scene I cut the Flower Garden Backdrop from green cardstock and shaded it with Copics. I cut the individual leaves from dark green cardstock and glued them behind the leaves with the cut outs, offsetting them a bit. The flowers I cut from white cardstock and shaded them a soft lilac. I also added some small blue colors along the bottom edge. 

For a clean look I added one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames on top, again cut from glitter cardstock in a rainbow look. Since I had used yellow, orange, red and pink for the rainbow I went with the remaining colors - green, blue and purple - for the frame.

 

 Der kleine Hase ist mit dem Build-a-Bunny Set gemacht. Auch hier habe ich die Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert.

Hinter dem Hasen befindet sich noch eine Reihe hohes Gras. Dafür bin ich fremdgegangen und habe eine Stanze von Magnolia verwendet. Ich habe das Gras aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und es dann ebenfalls schattiert. 

 

The little bunny is made with the Build-a-Bunny set. Again I cut the pieces from white cardstock and shaded them with Copics.

Behind the bunny I put a layer of tall grass. I used a die by Magnolia for it since there isn't any like that by LawnFawn. I cut it from light green cardstock and shaded it, too. 

 

 Der Hase hält einen großen Regenschirm, der ihn vor dem Regen schützt. Der ist mit dem Stitched Umbrella Set gemacht. Die Stange ist aus matt-silbernem, der Griff aus glänzend schwarzem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Den Schirm an sich habe ich dann hellblau coloriert. 

Auf dem Schirm war dann auch der einzige Platz für einen kleinen Text. Ich habe je einen Text aus den Sets Rain or Shine Before 'n After und Here for You Bear weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und auf den Schirm aufgeklebt. Als Deko habe ich noch zwei kleine rosafarbene Herzen daneben gesetzt.

 

The bunny is holding a large umbrella, that's protecting him from the rain. I made that using the Stitched Umbrella set.  I cut the handle from glossy black, the metall piece from matte silver metallic cardstock. The top of the umbrella I colored a soft blue.

On the umbrella was the only place where I had a bit of space for my text. Onto black cardstock I white heat embossed a text from both Here for You Bear  and Rain or Shine Before 'n After and glued both onto the umbrella. As decoration I added two light pink clay hearts.

 

 Hier habe ich dann ausnahmsweise auch mal eher wenig 3D Tape benutzt - der Schirm ist mit dünnem, der Blumenrahmen mit dickem Tape hinterlegt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

For a change I didn't use as much foam tape as I usually do - I backed the umbrella with thin, the flower garden frame with thick tape.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

Heute habe ich eine weitere Karte mit Stanzen aus dem Januar-Release von Concord and 9th für Euch. Ich war sofort in die Pommes samt Box verliebt - und die Wortspiele im dazugehörigen Stempelset sind ja absolut meins. Also machen wir mir dieser Karte einen Abstecher in das Land des Fast Food.

Today I have another card using dies from Concord and 9th's january release. I immediately fell in love with the french fries die set - and the puns in the matching stamp set are right down my alley. So with this card we are taking a trip into the world of fast food.

 

Wie so viele, verbinde ich mit Pommes die Farben rot, weiß und gelb. Ob das an der Kombi Pommes, Ketchup und Mayo oder doch eher an den Farben einer bekannten Fast Food Kette liegt, kann ich nicht so genau sagen. 

Den Hintergrund habe ich mit den Layered Sunburst Stencils von PinkFresh gemacht die es in verschiedenen Formaten gibt. Ich habe das Set in A2-Größe benutzt. Basis war hellgelber Cardstock, auf den habe ich dann Strahlen mit Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade und Candied Apple aufgetragen. Auf die Enden der Strahlen kam noch ein wenig Fired Brick. Die Strahlen überlagern sich teilweise und an manchen Stellenist noch die Originalfarbe des Cardstocks zu sehen. 

Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann erst Wasser und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Mittig auf den Cardstock habe ich dann diese "Blasenform", wie man sie aus Comics kennt, aufgeklebt. Sie ist der Rest des Comic Cover A2 von WhimsyStamps. Ich habe ein schwarzes und ein weißes Stanzteil leicht versetzt aufeinander und dann beides auf den Hintergrund geklebt. So heben sich die Pommes samt Box später besser vom Hintergrund ab. Außerdem finde ich, dass die Form super zum Design der Karte passt. 

 

Like many I have to think of the color combo of red, white and yellow when I think of french fries. I can't tell if that's because of french fries with ketchup and maionaise or because of the colors of a well known fast food brand.

For the background I used the Layered Sunburst Stencils by PinkFresh for the background. They are available in different sizes, I used the A2 ones. I started with a piece of light yellow cardstock and inked the rays on using Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple. Onto the ends of the red rays I applied a bit of Fired Brick. The rays overlay each other, in some spots there's still the original color of the cardstock visible.

I first splattered some droplets of water, then some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.

Onto the center of the cardstock I glued this "bubble", that's known from the world of comics. It's the left over piece from the Comic Cover A2 by WhimsyStamps. I stacked a black and a white die cut a bit offset and then glued both onto the background. This way the fries and box are visible more clearly on the background and I also think, the shape goes great with the card design. 

 

 Hier ist die Pommes-Box samt Inhalt aus dem So Fry-Tastic Stanzenset von Concord and 9th/Kristina Werner. Ich bekomme Hunger, wenn ich die Karte ansehe!

Die Box habe ich aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics leicht schattiert. Dann habe ich sie ein weiteres Mal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und daraus mit der Schere zwei Streifen, angepasst an die Form der Box, ausgeschnitten. Mit denen habe ich die Box dekoriert, damit sie nicht gar so nackt aussieht. 

Die Pommes in der Box bestehen aus fünf verschiedenen Lagen, die alle als einzelne Stanzen im Set enthalten sind. Außerdem gibt es noch zwei einzelne Pommes. Ich habe alles aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen hellgelben Cardstocks gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert. Die "Kante" habe ich dann mit einem hellbraunen Polychromo aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich etwas Distress Ink Gathered Twigs mit ein wenig Wasser gemischt und aufgespritzt. Die Idee mit dem "Salz" kommt von Jennifer McGuire. Ich habe winzige Tropfen Kleber auf die Pommes aufgetragen und dann etwas von dem Clear Rock Candy Glitter von Tim Holtz aufgestreut.  

 

Here's the fries box with the fries from So Fry-Tastic by Concord and 9th/Kristina Werner. I am getting hungry when looking at the card!

I cut the box from red cardstock and shaded it with Copics. Then I cut it again from white cardstock and used my scissors to cut out two strips of that white die cut, making them match the shape of the box. I used these to decorate the box so it's not just plain red.

 The fries in the box are made from 5 layers, that are all included in the die set as individual dies. There are also two single fries included. I cut all of them from two different shades of light yellow cardstock and shaded them with Copics. The "edges" I added with a light brown Polychromo. I also mixed a bit of Distress Ink Gathered Twigs with a bit of water and splattered it onto the fries. The idea of adding "salt" is by Jennifer McGuire. I applied tiny drops of liquid glue to the fries and then sprinkled some of the Clear Rock Candy glitter by  Tim Holtz into the glue.

 

 Auch das ausgestanzte Wort Fries ist aus dem Stanzenset. Ich habe zwei Lagen gelben Cardstocks aufeinander geklebt und alles it einer Lage aus schwarzem Cardstock als Schatten hinterlegt. Es gibt eine Shadow Layer für die großen Worte, aber das war mir hier zu plakativ. Statt des I-Punkts habe ich ein weißes Herz aufgeklebt.

Die kleinen Textteile sind aus dem So Fry-Tastic Stempelset und einfach weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.  Und weil mein Mann das Wortspiel nicht sofort verstanden hat, es bezieht sich natürlich auf "I only have eyes for you". ;)

An die untere Kante der Pommesbox habe ich dann noch die beiden einzelnen Pommes geklebt.

 

Also the die cut word "fries" is from the die set. I stacked two layers of yellow cardstock and then added a black word behind them as a shadow layer. There is a larger shadow layer for the words included in the set, but that would have covered to much of the box here. Instead of the dot on the i I used a white clay heart.

The smaller texts are fro the So Fry-Tastic stamp set and simply heat embossed white onto black cardstock. 

Onto the bottom of the box I then glued the two individual fries.

 

 Die Pommesbox ist mit 3D Tape auf die weiße Blase geklebt, dann habe ich damit auch die Blase samt Deko auf dem Hintergrund angebracht. 

Rund um die Deko habe ich einige schwarze Glitzersteine verteilt, dann den dekorierten Cardstock schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the box of fries to the white bubble with foam tape, then used more tape to adhere the bubble with the decoration onto the background.

I added some black rhinestones around the image, then matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white note card.

 

Geburtstags-Shaker-Karte

Ich bastel ja gerne in Blautönen. Aber bei all den Winterkarten, die ich in letzter Zeit gemacht habe, bin ich des Blaus ein wenig überdrüssig geworden. Und deswegen habe ich heute eine Karte, die farblich mal so ganz anders ist.

I love crafting in blues. But with all the winter cards I have been making lately I am a bit sick of this color. And so today I am sharing a card with you that is completly different colorwise. 

 

Ich habe hier eine Geburtstagskarte in beige, rot und braun, in die ein Shaker eingebaut ist.

Als Basis habe ich zwei Stücke cremefarbenen Cardstock genommen. Aus einem habe ich einen der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames von WaffleFlower ausgestanzt. Bei diesem Cardstockstück habe ich die Ränder mit Distress Ink Antique Linen und Frayed Burlap gewischt und dann mit Frayed Burlap den Freude und Jubel Hintergrund von Create a Smile darüberstempelt. Der ist bewusst nicht perfekt gestempelt, er soll nur den Hintergrund etwas interessanter machen.

Beim zweiten Cardstockstück habe ich mir den Bereich markiert, der später durch den ausgestanzten Rahmen sichtbar ist, und ebenfalls mit den beiden Distress-Farben etwas abgedunkelt. 

 

I made a birthday card in cream, red and brown and included a shaker in it.

As the base I started with two pieces of cream colored cardstock. From one of them I die cut one of the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower. This cardstock with the cut out frame I inked at the edges with Distress Ink Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap and then used Frayed Burlap to stamp the birthday text stamp Freude und Jubel by Create a Smile onto it. I didn't ink that up too carefully because I just want this text to add a bit of interest to the background.

On the second piece of cardstock I marked the area, that will be visible through the frame later, and inked that with the same Distress Ink colors.

 

 Innerhalb des Fensters habe ich dann mit dem Celebration Streamers Stempel von TheGreetery Luftschlangen aufgestempelt. Ich habe sie mit korallefarbener Tinte gestempelt und dann mit Hilfe des dazugehörigen Stencils und dunklerer Tinte die Schatten hinzgefügt. Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Diesen Bereich der Karte habe ich dann in einen Shaker verwandelt und ihn mit rosegoldenen Pailetten gefüllt. Auf die Folie, die den Shaker abdeckt, habe ich mit schwarzem StazOn den Text aus dem Stempelset Konfetti von Create a Smile aufgestempelt.

Nach dem Aufkleben der oberen Cardstocklage habe ich  den Nesting Piercing Ticket Frame ein weiteres Mal aus braunem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt und oben auf die Folie aufgeklebt.

 

Inside the window I stamped some streamers using the Celebration Streamers stamp by TheGreetery. I stamped them with coral ink and then used the matching stencils and a darker ink to add the shadows to the streamers. Then I splattered white acrylic paint on top.

I turned this area of the card into a shaker and filled it with rose gold sequins. Onto the acetate, that covers the shaker, I stamped a "today it should rain confetti for you" text using black StazOn ink. 

After adhering the top cardstock layer I die cut the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frame again from brown mirror cardstock and glued it onto the acetate.

 

 Natürlich darf auf so einer Karte auch ein Motiv nicht fehlen. Ich habe den Igel aus dem Heart Hugs Stanzenset von HoneyBeeStamp benutzt und alle Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Das Geschenk ist aus dem Set Build-a-Critter Winter Accessoires von LawnFawn. Ich habe alles mit Copics coloriert und den Igel an die untere Kante der Karte geklebt.

Das kleine Happy Birthday daneben ist aus dem Set Bitty Birthday Wishes von MFT und schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Ich habe außerdem mit dem Curly Q Streamers Stanzenset von TheGreetery zwei weitere Luftschlangen ausgestanzt und sie mit den gleichen Farben, mit denen ich die Luftschlangen hinter dem Shaker gestempelt habe, eingefärbt. Okay, ich gebe zu, dass ich die Luftschlangen als Reste einer anderen Karte bereits aus weißem Cardstock "auf Lager" hatte. Ich hatte sie bereits vor einiger Zeit gestanzt und bei der Lagerung haben sie ein wenig gelitten. Deswegen sind sie nicht ganz so perfekt ausgefallen.... Die beiden ausgestanzten Luftschlangen habe ich links und rechts des Shakers aufgeklebt.

 

Of course there has to be an image on a birthday card. I used the hedgehog from Heart Hugs by HoneyBeeStamps and cut all pieces from white cardstock. The present is from Build-a-Critter Winter Accessoires by LawnFawn. I colored everything with Copics and adhered the hedgehog along the bottom edge of the cardstock.

The small "happy birthday" next to it is from Bitty Birthday Wishes by MFT and stamped black onto white cardstock.

I also die cut two streamers using the Curly Q Streamers die set by TheGreetery and inked them with the same colors I also had stamped the ones inside the shaker with. Okay, I have to admit that I had those streamers left over from anothter card, cut from white cardstock. I had die cut them some time ago and while they were laying around, waiting to be used, they weren't treated too carefully and look a bit ragged... I glued those streamers onto the background, placing them to the left and right of the shaker. 

 

 Die obere Kante der Karte habe ich dann noch mit Papier-Rosetten dekoriert. Die ist mit dem Layered Rosette Stanzenset von SimonSaysStamp gemacht und mit den dazugehörigen Stencils gemacht. Ich habe wieder beide Koralletöne sowie Distress Ink Antique Linen und Frayed Burlap zum Einfärben benutzt. Ich brauchte hier nur eine Rosette zu gestalten, die habe ich dann zerschnitten und die Stücke entlang der oberen Kante der Karte angeklebt. Die überstehenden Stücke habe ich weggeschnitten.

 

The top edge of the card I decorated with some paper rosettes. I made these with the Layered Rosette die set by SimonSaysStamp and inked them with the matching stencils. I used the same two tones of coral, Distress Ink Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap to color the rosettes. I actually only had to create one rosette, then cut it apart and glued the pieces to the background. I simply cut off any overhang.

 

 Hinter den Rosetten, dem Igel, dem kleinen Text und der Luftschlange rechts befindet sich dickes oder dünnes 3D Tape.

Als Deko habe ich einige braune Herzen rund um den Igel und weitere rosegoldene Pailetten auf dem Rest der Karte verteilt aufgeklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

I put thin or thick foam tape behind the rosettes, the hedgehog, the small text and the  streamer on the right.

As decoration I glued  down some brown clay hearts around the hedgehog and more rose gold sequins on the rest of the card. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Hip-Hip-Oh-YAY!

Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, habe ich als Geburtstagskarte gemacht. Durch den Text würde sie aber auch als Karte zu jeder anderen Gelegenheit passen.

 

Hello everyone!

The card I am sharing with you today I made as a birthday card. But with the text it will work for any other occasion, too. 

 

Ich hatte mich kurz nach Weihnachten nochmal mit einigen Produkten von TheGreetery eingedeckt und die kamen hier zum Einsatz.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Hauptstanze aus dem Shortbread Shapes Rectangle aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und auch die Details, die man in die Bögen oben und unten stanzen kann, eingestanzt. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt und einen Rahmen mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.

 

After christmas I ordered a few more items by TheGreetery and used them on this card.

For the background I die cut the main die fro Shortbread Shapes Rectangle from black cardstock and also cut the small details into those two arches at the top and bottom. Then I splattered white acrylic paint onto the cardstock and also drew a frame with a white gel pen.

 

Aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock habe ich einen der Stitched Scallops ausgestanzt, das bildet denn Hintergrund für meinen Text, der gleichzeitig das Hauptelement der Karte ist. 

Er ist mit dem Big Yay Stempelset und dem dazugehörigen Big Yay Word Stanzenset gemacht. Ich habe die Schattenlage aus schwarzem, das Wort aus rosafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und den rosafarbenen Cardstock mit Copics schattiert. 

Die Strahlen sind so gestaltet, dass sie genau hinter das große Wort passen. Ich habe sie silbern auf weißen Cardstock embosst und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. 

Hinter das Wort und die Strahlen habe ich dann noch einen Kreis mit gezackten Rändern, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, gesetzt.

 

 

From matte silver metallic cardstock I die cut one of the Stitched Scallops, this is the backdrop behind my text, that's also the main element on the card.

I made that using the Big Yay stamp set and the matching Big Yay Word die set. I cut the shadow layer from black, the word from rose cardstock and shaded the pink word with Copics.

 The rays are designed to fit exactly behind the large word. I silver heat embossed them onto white cardstock and cut them out with my scissors.

Behind the word and the rays I put a spiro circle, cut from white cardstock.

 

Ich habe außerdem ein Hip-Hip-Oh und ein congratulations aus dem Stempelset jeweils weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten. 

 

I also white heat embossed a Hip-Hip-Oh and a congratulations onto black cardstock and cut them out. 

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich Party-Rosetten und eine große Schleife aufgeklebt.

Die Rosetten sind mit dem Pinwheel Party Stanzenset und den dazugehörigen Stencils gemacht. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Distress Ink Victorian Velvet und Black Soot gewischt und auf die schwarzen Streifen etwas Nuvo Aqua Shimmer aufgetragen. Die Mitten der Rosetten sind wieder aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Und dann hatte ich auf dem selben Magnetbogen wie die Pinwheel-Stanzen Rosetten-Stanzen von Tim Holtz. Die waren nur einen winzigen Tick größer und bilden den perfekten Hintergrund. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt.

Die Schleife ist eigentlich jeweils die obere Lage der Schleifen aus dem Regency Bow No. 1 Set. Ich habe sie gedreht aufeinander und dannn auf den schwarzen Hintergrund geklebt. Die Schleifen sind wieder aus rosafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Auf die gleiche Art und Weise habe ich auch die Luftschlangen, die seitlich von den Rosetten hängen, gemacht. Es gibt da auch tolle Luftschlangen von TheGreetery, die ich sogar habe, aber hier haben mir die von CreativeDepot in Länge und Form besser gefallen.

 

In the upper area of the card I added some  party pinwheels and a big bow.

The pinwheels I made with the Pinwheel Party die set and the matching stencils. I cut them from white cardstock, inked them with Distress Ink Victorian Velvet and Black Soot and added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to the black stripes. The pinwheel centers I cut from matte silver metallic cardstock again. And then I had that rosette die set by Tim Holtz on the same magnetic sheet as the Pinwheel Party set - those were just a tad bit larger and the perfect backdrop. I cut them from white cardstock.

The bow is made using the top layers from both sizes of bows from Regency Bow No. 1. I glued them turned onto each other and then onto the card base. I cut the bows from rose colored cardstock and shaded  them with Copics. The same way I made the streamers, that are dangling down from the rosettes. There are some by TheGreetery that I own also, but here I liked the ones by CreativeDepot better in length and shape.

 

 Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte kam natürlich 3D Tape zum Einsatz. 

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt und am unteren Ende habe ich dann noch zwei kleine Stücke einer Luftschlange angeklebt, so dass die nicht nur links und rechts wie ein Vorhang herunterhängen.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen nur minimal größeren weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the card together I used foam tape - of course.

I added some white sequins to the card and also two smaller pieces of streamers to the bottom so those don't hang down on the left and right like some curtains.

In the end I glued the panel to a just slightly larger white card base.
