Halloween-Verpackung mit Shaker

Jetzt ist schon September, es wird herbstlicher und das bedeutet auch, dass Halloween näher rückt. Als ersten September-Beitrag für das Halloweeners Team von WhimsyStamps habe ich mal keine Karte, sondern eine Verpackung für Süßes - oder auch Saures - gewerkelt.

It's september already, it's getting more fall-ish outside and that also means, that Halloween is coming closer. For my first september creation for the Halloweeners team by WhimsyStamps I didn't make a card but a little box to put in some candy - sweet or sour. 

 

Eigentlich wollte ich erst nur den Shaker, der die Box ziert, machen. Aber irgendwie fehlte dem was. Also habe ich von hinten eine kleine, oben offene Box angeklebt. In die habe ich dann eine Zellophan-Tüte gesteckt. Die ist momentan noch leer, ich habe noch keine Halloween-Süßigkeiten zu Hause. Aber vor dem Verschenken wird sie natürlich gefüllt. Verschlossen habe ich die Tüte mit einer schwarzen und einer orangefarbenen Schleife.

 

Originally I had planned to only make the shaker, that's the front of the box. But something was missing. So I glued a little box, open at the top, behind the shaker. Into it I've put a clear bag. It's empty at the moment, I don't have any Halloween candy at home yet, but of course it will be filled before I hand it out. I used an orange and a black bow to tie the bag closed.

 

 Die Front/der Shaker besteht aus einem großen Candy Corn. Der ist mit der Primitive Candy Corn Stanze gemacht. Ich habe die Schattenlage einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und dann den Rahmen mit der Schattenlagen und der Einsatz-Stanze ebenfalls aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht. Die inneren Teile habe ich aus weißem, orangefarbenem und gelbem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Die inneren Teile habe ich mit Distress Ink Hickory Smoke, Fossilized Amber und Rusty Hinge ein wenig gewischt und dann mit schwarzer Acrylfarbe bespritzt. Außerdem habe ich nur die Quernähte mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt. 

Hinter den Rahmen habe ich eine Lage Acetate gesetzt und ihn dann mit dünnem 3D Tape auf die Basis geklebt. Zuvor habe ich den Shaker mit winzigen dunkel-silbernen Sternen sowie orange- und pinkfarbennen Folienkreisen gefüllt. 

 

The front/shaker is a large candy corn. I made it using the Primitive Candy Corn die. I cut the shadow layer from black cardstock, then used the same die and the one for the inner pieces to create a frame, again from black cardstock. The inner pieces I cut from white, orange and yellow cardstock and inked them with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke, Fossilized Amber and Rusty Hinge. I splattered some black acrylic paint onto those inner pieces and also used a black fineliner to only trace the stitches that go across the inner parts.

Behind the frame I glued  a layer of acetate and then used thin foam tape to glue the top onto the base. Before I filled the shaker with tiny darksilver star confetti and some small orange and pink foil dots. 

 

 

Ich habe meinem Candy Corn ein Gesicht verpasst. Dafür habe ich Versamark Tinte durch eines der Gesichter der Halloween Expressions Stencil auf das Acetate getupft und dann schwarzes Embossingpulver aufgestreut. Das von mir verwendete Acetate ist hitzebeständig, so dass sich beim Schmelzen des Pulvers nichts gewellt hat. Und um sicher zu gehen, dass das geschmolzene Pulver auch wirklich hält, habe ich das Gesicht vorsichtshalber auf die innere Seite des Shakers aufembosst. Dort habe ich dann auch zwei kleine hellrosa Kreise, einfach mit ein paar Handstanzen gemacht, als Backen aufgeklebt. Die Highlights in den Augen und auf den Backen habe ich dann mit einem weißen Acrylmarker oben auf die Folie gemalt. 

Und ich fand, dem Candy Corn würde ein Hut gut stehen. Also habe ich eines der Motive aus dem Set Halloween Tricks abgestempelt und nur den Hut der Hexe ausgeschnitten. Den habe ich mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert und ihn oben über die Spitze des Candy Corn gesteckt. 

 

I gave my candy corn a face. I dabbed Versamark ink onto the actetae through one of the faces from the Halloween Expressions stencil, then sprinkled black embossing powder onto it. The acetate I used is heat resistent so the acetate didn't warp when I melted the  powder. And to make sure that the powder really sticks to the acetate and can't get rubbed off I created the face on the backside of the acetate that will be inside my shaker. There I also glued on two small circles from light pink cardstock - I simply used two handheld punches for them - as cheeks. The highlights on the eyes and cheeks I then drew on top of the acetate using a white acrylic marker. 

And I thought, a hat would look nice on this candy  corn with its funny face. So I stamped one of the images from Halloween Tricks and only cut out the witche's hat. I colored it with alcohol markers and put it onto the tip of the candy corn. 

 

 Im unteren Bereich des Shakers - dessen Füllung Ihr hier auf diesem Bild übrigens auch mal verteilt sehen könnt - habe ich etwas Deko und einen kleinen Text angebracht. 

Ich fand, es muss nicht unbedingt Happy Halloween auf dem Shaker stehen. Ein einfaches Yummy tut es auch, oder? Ich habe es mit der Yummy Word Stanze aus pinkfarbenem und schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, die Teile leicht versetzt aufeinander und auf den Shaker geklebt. Pink habe ich übrigens wegen der Shaker-Füllung gewählt. Das war ein fertiger Mix aus orange- und pinkfarbenen Confetti und die Farben voneinander zu trennen war ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Also habe ich stattdessen ein wenig Pink in der Deko verarbeitet.

Ebenfalls pink sind die  beiden Knöpfe, die ich aufgeklebt habe. Zuvor habe  ich etwas schwarzes Twine durch die  Löcher gezogen. 

Außerdem habe ich zwei weiße Narben/Nähte und einen Flicken aus schwarzer Basis und hellorangefarbenem Aufleger mit weißen Punkten angebracht. Alle diese Elemente - und noch ein paar weitere, die ich hier nicht verwendet habe - kommen ebenfalls im Primitive Candy Corn Stanzenset.

I've decided that there doesn't have to be a Happy Halloween on this shaker. A simply Yummy works as fine, right? I made it using the Yummy Word die and cut it from pink and from black cardstock. I stacked the die cuts a bit offset and then glued them onto the shaker. I've picked pink because of the shaker filling. It was a readily done mix from orange and pink confetti and separating the colors  was impossible. So instead I brought some pink into the decorations.

Also pink are the two buttons that I glued onto the candy corn. I put some black twine through the holes in the buttons.

I also added two white seams/scars and a patch, made from a black base and a light orange topper with white dots. All these elements, and a few more that I didn't use here, come with the Primitive Candy Corn die set. 

 

Farbe trifft Stempel 2026 #1

 

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Habt Ihr letztes Jahr im Oktober bei der Farbe Trifft Stempel Challenge mitgemacht?  Nein? Dann  habt Ihr dieses Jahr aufs neue die Möglichkeit - oder auch wieder. Denn auch dieses Jahr gibt es die Mitmach-Challenge rund  ums Stempeln und die Stempel deutscher Hersteller. Und natürlich winken wieder tolle Preise. Dieses Jahr findet die  Challenge schon im September statt. Und der startet heute...

Alle paar Tage gibt es ein neues Thema - insgesamt 9.  Die Themen haben wir bereits Anfang August auf IG bekannt gegeben. Und dort sollt Ihr dann auch Eure Werke zeigen, versehen mit dem Hashtag Farbetrifftstempel2026. 

Heute geht es los und zwar mit dem Thema "heutiger Lieblingsstempel".  

Ich habe ja generell keinen wirklichen Lieblingsstempel und lasse mich oft von meiner Stimmung oder einfach davon, auf was ich Lust habe, leiten. Und heute ist mir definitiv nach Sommer, für den Herbst bin ich irgendwie noch nicht bereit.

Did you join the Farbe Trifft Stempel challenge last october? No? Then you have another chance this year - or a chance to join again. Also this year we are doing the challenge that revolves around german stamp brands. And of course we have amazing prizes again. This year we are doing the challenge in september. And that starts today...

Every few days there's a new theme - 9 in total. We already shared the themes over on IG with you the beginning of august. And that's also where we want you to share your cards, adding the hashtag  farbetrifftstempel2026 so we can find them.

We are kicking off the challenge month today with the theme of "today's favorite stamp". 

I really don't have a favorite stamp in general and often times I just go with my mood or simply what I want to use. Today I definately feel like something summer-ish, I am not at all ready for fall.

 

 Hier in Bayern sind ja noch immer Sommerferien und da trudelt die ein oder andere Urlaubspost ein. Eine solche findet sich auch auf meiner Karte. 

Der Hintergrund besteht einfach aus einem Stück hell-türkis farbenen Cardstocks, den ich von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers gewischt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

 

Here in Bavaria the summer break is still going on and so every now and then a postcard from a far away place finds its way to our mailbox. That's what inspired me to make this card.

The background is simply made from a piece of light aqua cardstock, the I inked from the bottom up with a bit of Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock. 

 

 Das Motiv, das ich für meine Karte gewählt habe, ist von Memories 4 You und heißt Umschlag Sommer. Besser kann man Urlaubspost vom Meer nicht in ein Motiv fassen.

Ich habe es mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 Dahinter befindet sich eine große Briefmarke. Die ist von Create a Smile, aus deren Set Postage Rectangle. Mit der selben Stanze und  Partial Diecutting habe ich auch die längliche Briefmarke weiter unten gestanzt. Aus sandfarbenem Cardstock habe ich einen Aufleger geschnitten und leicht mit Distress Oxide Vintage Photo gewischt. So fällt der Übergang vom unteren Ende des Motivs zum Hintergrund quasi gar nicht auf. 

Im oberen Teil der Briefmarke habe ich ein "Post", gestanzt aus hell-türkis farbenem Cardstock, aufgeklebt, das ich mit der Post für Dich Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen gemacht habe. Darunter habe ich mit Versafine Clair Sand Dune - wie passend - eine Entwertungszeichen aufgestempelt. Das - und auch die beiden weiteren auf der Karte - sind aus Postage Collage Stempelsets von WaffleFlower. 

 

The image, that I've chosen for this card, is by Memories 4 You and is named Umschlag Sommer. I think there isn't a better way to sum up "vacation greetings from the sea" in one image.

I colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out with my scissors. 

Behind it there's a big postage die. It's by Create a Smile, from their Postage Rectangle  die set. I used the same die to do some partial die cutting to create the smaller postage stamp under it. I cut a top layer from sand colored cardstock and inked the edges lightly with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo. Now you can hardly see where the colored image meets the background cardstock.

In the upper right corner of the postage stamp I glued on a post word, die cut from light aqua cardstock using the Post für Dich die by Charlie und Paulchen. Under it I stamped a cancellation mark using Versafine Clair Sand Dune - how fitting. That mark and also the other two on my card are from Postage Collage stamp sets by WaffleFlower. 

 

Hier seht Ihr die schmälere Briefmarke, auf der ich den Rest meines Textes untergebracht habe. Er ist aus dem selben Stanzenset von Charlie und Paulchen, dahinter befindet sich ein größeres Entwertungskennzeichen. Übrigens auch darunter auf dem Hintergrund. Den I-Punkt auf dem Dich habe ich durch ein rotes Herz ersetzt, ein zweites befindet sich im O von Post. 

Neben der Briefmarke habe ich noch ein Siegel angebracht. Das habe ich aus rot-braunem Cardstock mit einer Stanze aus dem   DinLang Postage Set von Create a Smile gemacht und so die Farbe des Siegels auf meinem Motiv wieder aufgegriffen. Ich habe den äußeren Rand sowie das Herz aus drei Lagen gestaltet und die Ränder mit einem Sanding Block bearbeitet. 

 

Here you can see the smaller postage stamp, that I glued the rest of my text onto. The text means "mail for you". It's from the same die set by Charlie und Paulchen, behind it I stamped a larger cancellation mark. The same one I stamped under the postage stamp, directly onto the background.  I replaced the dot on the I with a red clay heart, a second one I glued into the O of the word post. 

Next to this stamp I also added a seal. I die cut that from reddish brown cardstock using a die from DinLang Postage by Create a Smile, picking up the color of the stamped seal in the image. I created the outer ring and the heart from three layers of cardstock, then sanded them with a sanding block.

 

 Auch im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich ein Entwertungszeichen aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich zwei Seesterne - von WaffleFlower - und eine Koralle - von Action - aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, rot coloriert und unter die große Briefmarke geschoben.

 

I stamped another cancellation mark onto the upper area of the background. I also die cut two star fish - by WaffleFlower - and a coral - by Action - from white cardstock, colored them red and tucked them under the large postage stamp.

 

Die roten Teile des Motivs und der Deko habe ich ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert. Das Motiv ist mit dünnem, die  kleine Briefmarke samt Siegel mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar klare Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used Stickles to add a bit of glitter onto the red parts of the image and decorations. I backed the image with thin, the smaller postage stamp with the seal with thick foam tape. Then I added some clear sequins as decoration.

As the last step I glued the card panel onto a white note card.

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich schon ein paar Tage lang keine maritime Karte mehr gezeigt hahe - das ändere ich mit diesem Post!

I realized  that I  haven't shared with you an ocean themed card since a few days - I am changing that with this post!

 

Auf dieser Karte habe ich einfach alles an Marken wild durcheinander gemixt - so lange, bis mir die  Szene gefallen hat.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich etwa ab  der Hälfte aufwärts mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean gewischt habe. 

Darauf habe ich dann zwei Lagen Wellen geklebt: eine aus grün-grauem Cardstock, eine aus Vellum. Die oberen Kanten habe ich jeweils mit Wellenstanzen von MFT ausgestanzt. 

Den grünen Cardstock habe ich mit Faded Jeans und Evergreen Bough, die Rückseite des Vellums mit Peacock Feathers eingefärbt, dabei aber jeweils ein Stück der Originalfarbe sichtbar gelassen. 

Zwischen die beiden Wellen-Lagen habe ich dann noch drei Holzboller gesetzt. Die sind aus dem Set Layering Pelicans von ScrappyTails. Ich habe die Boller per Partial Diecutting so ausgestanzt, dass die untere Kante nicht gestanzt wird und alles dann mit der Schere verlängert, so dass die Boller auch wirklich den unteren Rand meiner Karte erreichen. Das Holzmuster habe ich mit Ohuhu Markern und einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.

 

On this card I did a wild mix  of brands - adding stuff until I liked the scene.

The background is made from light blue cardstock, that I inked from about the center upwards with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. 

 On top of that I put two layers of waves: eine cut from grey-ish green cardstock, one cut from vellum. To cut the waves along the top edge I used wave border dies by MFT. 

I inked the grey-ish green cardstock with Faded Jeans and Evergreen Bough, the back of the vellum with Peacock Feathers, making sure a portion of the original color is still visible at the top.

Between the two layers of waves  I put some wooden logs. Those are from the Layering Pelicans by ScrappyTails. I did some partial diecutting to not cut the bottom edge, then cut the rest with my scissors to make sure those reach the bottom of my card. I added the wooden pattern with Ohuhu markers and a white gel pen.

 

Zwischen und auf die beiden Wellenlagen habe ich dann Seegras, gemacht mit Stanzen von WaffleFlower und Action, gesetzt. Das habe ich mit Peeled Paint und Forest Moss gewischt. Außerdem habe ich auf die Cardstock-Lage mit Verafine Clair Very Peri einige Fisch-Silhouetten von WaffleFlower aufgestempelt. Die sieht man nur durch das Vellum so gut wie gar nicht mehr. 

Die Fische sind von WaffleFlower und HeroArts. Ich habe sie aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Prize Ribbon, Broken China und Abandoned Coral scahttiert. 

Ich habe die Fische auf das Vellum geklebt und dann den Kleber, mit dem ich das Vellum befestigt habe, hinter den Fischen versteckt. 

Hinter die Seile, die um die Holzstämme gewickelt sind, habe ich noch einen Seestern gesetzt, der wieder aus dem Layering Pelicans Set ist. Den habe ich mit Abandoned Coral schattiert. 

 

Between and onto the waves layers I added some sea grass, made using dies by WaffleFlower and Action. I inked them with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. I also stamped some fish silhouettes by WaffleFlower onto the cardstock layer using Versafine Clair Very Peri, but those are hardly visible anymore through the vellum.  

The fish are made using dies by WaffleFlower and HeroArts. I cut them from colored cardstock, then shaded them with Prize Ribbon, Broken China and Abandoned Coral.

I glued the fish onto the vellum and then hid the glue to adhere the vellum onto the cardstock behind the fish. 

Behind the ropes, that hold the wood logs together, I tucked a star fish, that's again from the Layering Pelicans set. I shaded it with some Abandoned Coral.  

 

Auf die Holzstämme habe ich dann grünes Moos gesetzt. Das wird bei den Stanzen eingestanzt, ich habe sie einfach nochmal aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, diese Teile herausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.

Oben auf den Stämmen steht eine kleine Möwe, die versucht, sich ihr Abendessen zu fangen. Die Möwe ist aus einem der Club Kits von Spellbinders von letztem Jahr. Ich habe nur die Möwe mit Alcohol Markern schattiert, die anderen Elemente habe ich wieder mit Distress Inks schattiert. 

Das Netz ist aus dem Set Twinkle Twinkle von MFT - und eigentlich hält es ein Bär. Es zeigt dabei auch in die andere Richtung. Also habe ich das Netz einmal mit dem Mirror Image von MFT gespiegelt und auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Hiervon habe ich nur die Holzteile übernommen. Außerdem habe ich das Netz auch noch einmal mit schwarzem StazOn auf Acetate gestempelt. Das konnte ich dann einfach umdrehen, so dass sich das Motiv auf der Rückseite befindet. Die Holzteile habe ich entlang der gestempelten Linien ausgeschnitten und auf das Acetate geklebt. So kann man durch das Netz hindurchsehen. ;)

Der Text auf der  Karte ist mit Stempeln von LawnFawn gemacht: das Wort "fish" mit Buchstaben aus dem Henry Jr.'s ABCs, der kleine Texte darunter mit diversen Henry's Build a Sentiment Sets. Dabei musste ich ein wenig kreativ werden - für das Wort "here" z. B. habe ich den mittleren Teil des Wortes "there's" benutzt. Die Texte sind mit Versafine Clair Twighlight direkt auf den Hintergrund gestemmpelt. Mit einem dünnen weißen Gelstift habe ich rechts und oben ein Highlight neben die Buchstaben gemalt. Ich fand den Text einfach toll zu der Szene. 

Außerdem habe ich auf dem Himmel noch einige Wolken verteilt, die mit den Puffy Clouds von MFT gemacht sind - meine absoluten Lieblings-Wolken. 

 

I added some moss to the wood logs. When die cutting them, the lines for these get cut into the cardstock. I simply cut them again from green cardstock, cut those areas out and glued them onto the brown pieces. 

On top of those logs there's a seagull, that's trying to catch his dinner.  The seagull is from one of last year's club kits.  I only shaded the bird with Ohuhu markers, on the other elements I used Distress Inks again. 

The net is from Twinkle Twinkle by MFT - and originally a bear is holding it. It also faces the wrong direction. So I used the Mirror Image stamp to mirror the image onto white cardstock - I only used the wooden parts here. I also used black StazOn to stammp the net onto acetetae. I could simply turn this face down, having the stamped image on the backside. I cut the wooden pieces out right along the stamped lines and glued those onto the acetate. Now you can see the sky through the net. ;)

The text on the card is made using stamps by LawnFawn: the word "fish" using letters from Henry Jr.'s ABCs, the small words underneath with different of the Henry's Build a Sentiment sets. I had to get a bit creative here - the word "here" ie is made using the center letters of the word "there's". I stamped the texts directly onto the background using Versafine Clair Twighlight. Then I added a thin highlight along the top and right of each letter.  I just loved this text with the scene.

I also added some small clouds to the sky using the Puffy Clouds by MFT - my absolute favorite cloud set.

 

 Beim Zusammenkleben der Szene habe ich dann kein 3D Tape benutzt, damit man die Elemente hinter dem Vellum noch erkennen kann.

Ich habe die Fische ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I didn't use any foam tape when putting the scene together, so the elements behind the vellum are still visible through it.

I added some Stickles to the fish, then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Craft Roulette Episode #334

 

Hallo  Ihr  Lieben!

Am Freitag lief Episode #334 von Craft Roulette und auch dieses Wochenende habe ich es geschafft, eine Karte zu werkeln. Und wie so oft war mein erster Gedanke "da bin ich raus" und dann habe ich mich doch drangesetzt. Diesmal war das ATC, das eingebaut werden sollte, Schuld an dem Gedanken. Mit denen kann ich einfach nichts anfangen. Liegt wohl daran, dass ich eine "mehr ist mehr" Bastlerin bin und der Platz auf den kleinen Karten doch sehr  limitiert ist....

Friday episode #334 of Craft Roulette was aired and also this weekend I managed to make a card. And as quite often my first thought was "this week I am out" - and then I sat down to make my card. Guess it was the ATC, that has to be included  this week, this time. I just don't like making them. Most likely because I am a "more is more" kind of crafter and space is pretty limited on these little cards...

This week's parameters are:

project: include an ATC

colors: produce aisle

elemente: tree(s)

random: use 3 circles.

 

Ich hatte dann tatsächlich mehrere Ideen, geworden ist es dann diese Halloweenkarte. In lila... Ihr wisst ja, nicht gerade meine Lieblingsfarbe. Aber zu Halloween mache ich gerne  eine  Ausnahme!

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hell-lila farbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Ink Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion und Black Soot gewischt habe.

Dann habe ich aus lilafarbenem Cardstock den Birch Tree Background  von ScappyTails gestanzt. Ich habe die Bäume leicht  mit Wilted Violett schattiert und dann mit Alkoholmarkern das Rindenmuster aufgemalt. 

 

I acutally had several ideas, then decided to make this Halloween card. Purple... You know, not really my favorite color. But when it comes to Halloween I am making an exception!

The background is made from light purple cardstock that I inked with Distress Ink Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and Black Soot.

From purple cardstock I die cut the Birch Tree Background by ScappyTails. I shaded the trees with Wilted Violett and then used alcohol markers to add the bark pattern to the trees.

 

 In der Mitte meiner Karte befindet sich das ATC. 

Ich habe die Artist Trading Card von MamaElephant aus schwarzem Cardstock und aus lilafarbenem Spielgecardstock gestanzt. Aus dem lilafarbenen Teil habe ich den unteren Trennsteg herausgeschnitten und dann aus helltürkis farbenem Cardstock noch die komplette ATC gestanzt. Die habe ich mit Broken China, Uncharted Mariner und ein klein wenig Black Soot gewischt. 

Dekoriert habe ich mein ATC dann mit allem, was  so zu Halloween dazugehört: einem Geist  von Spellbidners, Sonnenblumen, Herbstblättern, Candy Corns und einem großen Kürbis von LawnFawn sowie einigen kleinen Spinnen von MemoryBox. Die sind  aus scharzem Glossy Cardstock gestanzt, damit sie optisch nicht untergehen. Ich habe alle Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und leicht  mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert. 

Oben in den schmalen Streifen des ATC habe ich dann noch "october 31" weiß embosst und dafür Stempel aus dem Plan On It Calendar Set von LawnFawn verwendet. 

Farblich habe ich mich von Kürbis, Mais, Pastinake und Aubergine aus der "Obst- und Gemüseabteilung"  inspirieren lassen. 

 

In the center of my card I placed the ATC.

I die cut the Artist Trading Card die by MamaElephant from black cardstock and purple mirror cardstock. From the purple piece I cut out the strip, that divides the lower area into two pieces. From light aqua cardstock I die cut the solid piece from the die set and shaded that with Broken China, Uncharted Mariner and a bit of Black Soot.

Then I decorated my ATC with everything you need for Halloween: a ghost by Spellbinders, sunflowers, colorful leaves, candy corns and a large pumpkin by LawnFawn and a few small spiders by MemoryBox. I die cut these from black Glossy Cardstock so they don't get lost. I cut all elements from colored  cardstock and shaded them with alcohol markers.

Into the small areas at the top of the ATC I white heat embossed an "october 31", made using stamps from Plan On It Calendar by LawnFawn. 

 I picked pumpkins, sweet corn, parsnip and  eggplant from the product isle as the colors of my card.

 

 Oben rechts habe ich einen großen runden Mond, gemacht mit einer Stanze von LawnFawn, hinter die Bäume geklebt. Auch ihn habe ich schattiert und er bildet einen der drei Kreise, die auf der Karte untergebracht werden müssen. Die anderen beiden sind die Blumenmitten der Sonnenblumen... 

Zwischen den Birkenstämmen leuchten zudem einige Augen hervor. Die habe ich gelb coloriert, damit sie schön herausstechen. Gemacht sind sie mit den Augen der Katze aus dem selben Set, aus dem auch der Geist stammt. 

 

In the top right  of my background I added a large moon, made with a die  by LawnFawn, behind the trees. I shaded it, too, and it counts as one of the three circles that have to be included, the other two are the flower centers of the sunflowers....

Between the birch trees I placed some glowing eyes. I colored them yellow to make them pop. They are made with the eyes of the cat from the same set the ghost comes from, too. 

 

 Entlang des unteren Rands meiner Karte habe ich dann den Text aufgeklebt. Ich habe dafür ein Alphabetset von Whiff of Joy verwendet und die Buchstaben aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe sie passend zu Geist und Mond schattiert und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

 

Along the bottom edge of the card I added the text. I used an alphabet die set by Whiff of Joy to cut out the letters from cream colored cardstock, then shaded them to go with the ghost and moon  and glued them onto the background.

 

 Mit  einem klaren Glitzer-Gelstift habe ich dann kleine Punkte als Sterne zwischen die Birken und auf den Hintergrund des ATC aufgemalt. 

Als Deko habe ich drei lilafarbene Herzen auf die Karte geklebt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used a clear glitter gel pen to add some stars, made from tiny dots,  between the trees and onto the background of the ATC.

I added three purple clay hearts as decoration and then glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Und hier ist noch der übliche Parameter-Check:

Include an ATC: es befindet sich als Hauptelement mittig auf meiner Karte

Produce Aisle Colors: inspiriert von Kürbis, Mais, Aubergine und Pastinake - alles schön herbstlich und bis auf vielleicht die Aubergine Gemüse, dass ich auch wahnsinnig gerne esse.

Tree(s): der Hintergrund ist ein ganzer Birkenwald

3 Kreise: der Mond und die beiden Kreise in den Sonnenblumen müssen hier gelten.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Es gibt so Tage, an denen sollte ich eigentlich gar nicht basteln - und tue es trotzdem. Mit nicht wirklich zufriedenstellendem Ergebnis.

Nach einem Mädelsabend hatte ich viel zu wenig Schlaf abbekommen, dann habe ich recht lang im Garten gewerkelt und abends stand ein weiterer Termin an. Trotzdem wollte ich ein wenig basteln, auch wenn ich eigentlich keine Idee habe. Also dachte ich mir, ich probiere eine Kartenart mit Black Out Technik aus, zu der ich vor kurzem ein Video gesehen hatte. Jeder sagt immer, wie einfach und wieviel Spaß das ist. Und um die Chance, dass mich das Ergebnis der Karte zufriedenstellen wird, habe ich noch eine Farbkombi gewählt, zu der ich sonst nie greifen würde.

Ich zeige Euch meine Karte trotzdem...

 

Hello everyone!

There are days when I just shouldn't do any crafting - but do it anyway. The results are always a bit questionable, to put it mildly. 

After a girls night out I was missing quite some sleep and then worked quite long in our yard. In the evening I had another appointment. But still I wanted to squeeze in a bit of crafting, even with me not having a clue what I wanted to make. So I decided to try a card with the black out technique, that I had just seen a video about. Everyone always expresses, how much fun it is. And to make the chances to end up with a card I like even smaller I picked a color combo that I would never have picked on any other day. 

I am sharing my card with you anyway.

 

Ihr seht schon, "Black Out" trifft es hier nicht so ganz, aber die Machart ist die selbe. Aber in dem Video wird die Tinte bewusst streifig und nicht vollflächig deckend aufgetragen. Dann wird der Cardstock in Streifen geschnitten und alles wieder zusammengesetzt. Allerdings wird hinter jedes zweite Panel 3D Tape gesetzt. 

Ich habe hier einen Embossingfolder von Nellie Snellen verwendet und weißen Cardstock damit geprägt. Dann habe ich die Negativ-Seite des Motivs mit Alcohol Markern coloriert. Dafür war das Motiv wegen der vielen kleinen Bereiche eher suboptimal, aber es ging einigermaßen. Ich habe die  Lupinen im Motiv gelb, lila und rosa coloriert. Ich liebe Lupinen und diese Farben haben sie eben. 

Um den - erhabenen - Bereich rund um die Blumen einzufärben, habe ich zu einem Stempelkissen in einem dunklen Grünton gegriffen. 

Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe auf den Cardstock gespritzt und ihn nach dem Trocknen der Farbe in gleich breite Sreifen geschnitten. Die habe ich dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt und dabei - wie schon erwähnt - jeden zweiten Streifen mit 3D Tape angebracht. 

 

As you can see, "black out" might not be the right term here, but the process is the same. In the video I was watching the ink gets applied quite stripy and not a solid color on purpose. Then the cardstock is cut into pieces and put back together, putting foam tape behind each other strip.

I used an embossing folder by Nellie Snellen here and dry embossed some white cardstock with it. Then I colored the negative of the image with alcohol markers. The image I have chosen was quite hard to color that way due to the many small areas, but it kind of worked out. I picked yellow, pink and purple for my flowers - I love lupins and these are just the colors they usually come in.

To color the - raised - area around the flowers I picked a dark green ink pad.

Then I splattered white acrylic paint onto the cardstock and, after it had dried, cut it onto strips. I then glued those onto a  white card base, backing each other strip with foam tape.

 

 Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich dann meinen Text aufgeklebt. 

Das Glückwunsch ist eine Stanze von Create a Smile. Ich habe den Text aus weißem Cardstock, die Schattenlage aus Vellum gestanzt.

Der Rest des Texts ist aus dem Stempelset Kleine Worte von Stampcorner und mit der dunkelgrünen Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

 

In the lower area of the card I placed my sentiment. 

The die cut word is by Create a Smile. I cut the word from white cardstock, the shadow layer from vellum. The rest of the text is stamped onto white cardstock using the same dark green ink I had also used to ink up the background.

 

 Hier sieht man die verchiedenen Höhen der Cardstockstreifen besser.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar klare-irisierende Pailetten auf die Karte geklebt.

As decoration I added some clear iridescent sequins to the card.

Der August ist schon fast vorüber und Halloween rückt näher. Na, kommt Ihr langsam in Stimmung? Wenn nicht, hilft Euch vielleicht mein heutiger WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Beitrag ein wenig auf die  Sprünge...

 

Hello everyone!

August is nearly over and Halloween is coming closer. Are in a Halloween mood already? If not, maybe this card I made for the WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Team a bit to feel ready for it...

 

Die Karte fing eigentlich ganz anders an und die Hälfte der Elemente haben es dann gar nicht auf die Karte geschafft. Außerdem ist doch etwas düsterer ausgefallen als geplant. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks. Den habe ich erst mit Distress Ink Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint und Forest Moss gewischt und mit Wasser bespritzt. Anschließend habe ich mit Versafine Clair Nocturne den Tree Silhouette Background aufgestempelt. 

Aus hellblauem Glitter-Cardstock habe ich den Drippy Frame ausgestanzt und auf Vellum geklebt. Das Vellum habe ich in der Größe meines Hintergrunds zugeschnitten und außerdem den Bereich innerhalb des Rahmens herausgeschnitten. So wird nur der äußere Bereich durch das Vellum abgetönt. 

 

The card started with a completly different idea and half of the elements didn't even make it onto the card. It also turned out darker than I had planned.

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock. I inked it with Distress Ink Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss and spritzed water onto the ink. Then I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the Tree Silhouette Background onto the inked cardstock.

From light blue glitter cardstock I die cut the Drippy Frame and glued it onto vellum. I cut the vellum down to the same size as my background and also cut out the center of the frame. This way only the areas outside of the frame get toned down. 

 

 Als Hauptmotiv habe ich mich für eines der Monster aus dem Set Monster Halloween entschieden. Eigentlich hatte ich zwei der süßen - äh, sorry, natürlich gruseligen! - Monster verwenden, aber die haben irgendwie nicht mehr ins Design gepasst. Ich habe ihn olivgrün coloriert, sein süßes Tütü habe ich hellblau gehalten. 

Als Boden habe ich die Buschreihe aus dem Field of Butterflies Stanzenset aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und unten an den Rand meines Hintergrunds geklebt. Darauf steht das kleine Monster.

 Der Text in der hellblauen Sprechblase ist ebenfalls aus dem Monster Halloween Set. Ich habe es schwarz auf eine der Sprechblasen aus dem Set Speech Bubbles gestempelt, die ich zuvor auf den Kopf gedreht habe, damit sie in die andere Richtung zeigt. Außerdem habe ich sie schwarz hinterlegt. 

Auf die Bäume im Hintergrund habe ich dann noch ein paar Augen geklebt, um das Orange des Kürbiseimers nochmal aufzugreifen. Die Augen sind die Ausstanzungen eines der Geister aus dem Set Peeking Ghosts. Außerdem habe ich noch einige Fledermäuse aus dem Set Bat Reveals, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, auf der Karte verteilt. 

 

Als the main image I went with one of the monsters from Monster Halloween. I orginally had planned to use two of those cute - sorry, spooky! - monsters but they didn't really fit my scene together. I colored  it an olive green, the cute tutu costume I did a light blue.

As the ground I die cut the row of bushes from Field of Butterflies from black cardstock and glued it along the bottom edge of my background. The little monster is standing on it.

The text in the light blue speech bubble is again from Monster Halloween. I stamped it black onto one of the speech bubbles from Speech Bubbles, turning it onto the face so it faces the other direction. I also matted it black.

Onto the trees in the background I glued a few eyes to pick up the orange of the pumpkin bucket again. The eyes are the cut outs from one of the ghosts from Peeking Ghosts. I also added a few bats from Bat Reveals to my card.

 

 Den Text habe ich im oberen Bereich meiner Karte untergebracht. Er besteht aus einem gestanzten Scary aus dem Set Scary Night Word und Teil eines Textes aus dem Stempelset Cutie Batootie. 

Das Wort habe ich aus Vellum gestanzt, die "Schleimspur", die davon herabtropft, aus weißem Cardstock, den ich in hellem Olivgrün coloriert habe. Der gestemplte Text ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

I added the text to the top half of my card. It's put together from a die cut Scary from Scary Night Word and part of a text stamp from the Cutie Batootie stamp set.

I die cut the word from vellum, the "slime", that's dripping down from it, from white cardstock. Then I colored it a light olive. The stamped text is white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte habe ich die Fledermäuse, die Sprechblase und den embossten Text mit dünnem, das Monster mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. 

 

When putting the scene together I backed the bats, the speech bubble and the embossed text parts with thin, the monster with thick foam tape. Then I glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

 

The evidence is clear!

Vor kurzem habe ich ein Stanzenset mit drei Hunden geschenkt bekommen und die wollte ich unbedingt einweihen. Nun, die Karte war eine schwere Geburt, aber dazu gleich mehr.

A little ago I was gifted a die set with three dogs and I really wanted to use those. Well, this card was really hard work, but more about that a bit later.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks. Ich habe mit einem Bleistift ganz leicht den Fliesenboden durch Linien angedeutet und ihn dann mit Ohuhu Markern schwarz-weiß coloriert. Die Wandabschlussleiste habe ich schwarz gemacht.

Dann habe ich den Boden abgedeckt und den Cardstock darüber erst leicht mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke gewischt und die Farbe dabei nach oben auslaufen lassen. Dann habe ich mit der selben Farbe und einem Stempel von SU die Streifen aufgestempelt. Auch die habe ich nach oben auslaufen lassen und dafür die Farbe im oberen Bereich mit einem Tuch vom Stempel getupft, so dass keine harte Kante entsteht. 

Auf die Wand habe ich etwas Wasser, auf den Boden ganz fein weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

The background is made from a piece  of white cardstock. I used a pencil to lightly draw the lines for the tiles, then colored them black and white with Ohuhu markers. The trimming I did black.

I covered the floor with masking tape  and then lightly inked the cardstock above it with Distress Oxide Hickory  Smoke, letting teh color fade out towards the top. Then I used the same ink to stamp the stripes onto the  wall, using a stamp by SU. Again I let the stripes fade out at the top, dabbing off the ink with a cloth to not end up with any hash edges. 

I splattered water onto the wall and white acrylic paint finely onto the floor. 

 

 Hier könnt Ihr zwei der Hunde aus dem Set sehen, von dem ich übrigens keine Ahnung habe, von wem es ist. Aber die Hunde finde ich klasse. Ich liebe den hochnäsigen Gesichtsausdruck des langhaarigen Hunds und das etwas treu-doofe Geschau des anderen. Und so war mir schnell klar, wie meine Szene aussehen sollte. Ich habe alle Teile - auch den Napf und den Knochen aus dem selben Set, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern coloriert. Ich habe winzige Oval als Hundemarken and die aufgemalten Halsbänder geklebt. Der Ball besteht einfach aus  einem kleinen Kreis, dem ich Linien wie ein Tennisball gegeben habe, auch wenn die ja eigentlich gelb sind.

 Aus schwarzem Cardstock habe ich die Gedankenblase sowie die Frage- und Ausrufzeichen gestanzt und auf die Gedankenblase ein Oh No! von WhimsyStamps weiß aufembosst. Die ganze Szene sollte so aussehen, als wäre der vordere Hund gerade dabei erwischt worden, wie er den Knochen aus dem Napf geklaut hat. Der andere steht nur - mit in Gedanken hochgezogener Braue - da und das sagt mehr als tausend Worte. Nun, hier fing das Drama an. Ich hatte keine Ahnung wie ich das darstellen sollte und wollte eigentlich etwas wie "dein Ernst" in eine Sprechblase über dem helleren Hund stempeln. Aber die restlichen Text, die irgendwie zur Karte passten, waren alle auf Englisch. Mischen wollte ich nicht. Nach ewigem Rumprobieren habe ich mich dann für diese Lösung entschieden.

 

Here you can see the two dogs of the set, that I have no idea who makes it, that I used on this card. I just love  them. I love the quite snooty expression on the one dog's face, the other one looks a bit dumb. I had the idea for this scene pretty quickly. I cut all pieces - also the bowl and bone from the same set - from white cardstock and colored  them with Ohuhu markers. I glued tiny ovals as dog tags behind the collars I added with my coloring. The ball is just a small circle that I colored like a tennis ball, even if those are usually yellow.

From black cardstock I die cut the thought bubble and the exclamation- and question marks, then stamped an Oh No! by WhimsyStamps onto the thought bubble. I wanted the scene to look like the yellow dog was just caught steeling the bone from the bowl. The other one is just standing there, with one raised eyebrow - and that says more than a thousand words. Well, that's how the drama started. I had no idea on how to express that and originally wanted to stamp something like "really" onto a speech bubble above the lighter dogs head. But I only had that in german, the rest of the texts in english and didn't want to mix those. After a lot of searching and trying out I went with what's on the card now.

 

 So richtig ging das Drama aber erst beim Text an. Ich hatte keine Ahnung, wie ich das noch irgendwie in eine lustige Freundschaftskarte verwandeln sollte. Ich habe drei Stempel zerschnitten und zum Schluss dann diesen Text mit einem Stempel aus Sassy Pants Best Friends von MFT sowie einem Stempel, dessen Anordnung ich ebenfalls geändert habe, aus It's not Mistery von HeroArts zusammengesetzt. Beide Texte habe ich mit Versafine Clair Nocturne direkt auf die Wand gestempelt.

 

The drama really started when I was looking for a text - I had no idea how I should turn this card into a funny friendship card. I cut apart three stamps and in the end put this text together using a stamp from Sassy Pants Best Friends by  MFT and a stamp, that I also changed the arrangement of, from It's no Mistery by HeroArts. I stamped both directly onto the wall using Versfine Clair Nocturne.

 

 Ich habe nur den braunen Hund mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt, alle anderen Motive sind direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich um den Text ein paar schwarze Perlen verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I only backed the brown dog with thin foam tape, all the other images are glued directly onto the background. 

I added some black pearls around the text and then glued the card panel to a white note card.
