Farbe trifft Stempel 2026 #7

"Glück" ist das Thema für die 7. Farbe trifft Stempel Challenge 2026. Und ich habe mich für eine Karte mit Kleeblättern als Glücksbringer entschieden.

"Luck" ist the theme of challenge #7 of this years Farbe trifft Stempel challenge. I made a card with shamrocks, since they are one of the most common lucky charms.

 

 Auch wenn man bei Kleeblätter eher an grün denkt, meine Karte ist recht blau-lastig ausgefallen. Aber natürlich findet sich auch etwas grün darauf.

Ich habe hier ein Stück dunkelblauen Cardstocks für die Basis genommen und eines der Essential Arches von Spellbinders mittig herausgestanzt. 

Auf den blauen Cardstock  habe ich dann mit farblich passender, ein wenig dunklerer Tinte den Pretty Picado Background von TheGreetery aufgestempelt.

Aus hellem cremefarbenem Cardstock habe ich dann mit der Arch-Stanze und der nächst  größeren aus dem Set einen Rahmen ausgestanzt und auf den dunkelblauen Cardstock geklebt.

 

When you hear shamrocks you might think green, but my card turned out pretty blue. But of course there's some green on it, too.

I used a piece of dark blue cardstock for my base and die cut one of the Essential Arches by Spellbinders from the center.

Onto the cardstock I then stamped the Pretty Picado Background by TheGreetery, using a blue that matches the tone of the cardstock and is just a bit darker.

From light cream colored cardstock I then cut a thin frame, using the same arch die and the next larger one from the same set. I glued that onto the dark blue cardstock.

 

Hinter  das ausgestanzte Fenster habe ich dann ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks als Hintergrund gesetzt. In das habe ich mit dem Head in the Clouds Embossingfolder von Spellbinders Wolken geprägt. Auf der erhabenen Seite habe ich die mit einem weißen und einem hellgrauen Polychromo ein wenig schattiert und dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Dieser Himmel bildet dann den Hintergrund für meine kleine Gans im Klee.

 

 Behind the cut out window I put a piece of light blue cardstock as the background. I dry embossed  the cloud pattern into it using the Head in the Clouds embossing folder by Spellbinders. Onto the raised side I added a shadow and higlight to each cloud using a white and light grey Polychromo, then splattered a bit of white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.

This sky makes the background for my little goose in the field of shamrocks.

 

 Und hier könnt Ihr die kleine Gans besser sehen. Sie ist aus dem Set Gänsebriefchen von Cafe Constanze. Ich habe ihr den Blütenhut einer der anderen Gänse aus dem Set aufgesetzt. Außerdem habe ich Ihr zwei Kleeblätter aus dem Sonst Auch Set von Create a Smile unter den Flügel geklemmt. 

Coloriert habe ich mit Alcoholmarkern und Polychromos, dann habe ich sie  per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

Mit heller, blau-grüner Tinte habe ich dann die kleinen Kleeblätter aus dem gleichen Set aneinander gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und die Gans hineingestellt. 

Rund um die Gans habe ich dann ausgestanzte Kleeblätter verteilt, die ich aus drei verschiedenen Tönen grünen Cardstocks gestanzt habe. Die helleren sind dabei aus dem Lucky Clovers Set von LawnFawn, die ganz dunklen von Alexandra Renke. Da die komplett ohne Details gestanzt werden, habe ich die mit einem schwarzen Polychromo aufgemalt, auch wenn man sie kaum sieht. 

 

And here get a closer look at the little goose. She's from Gänsebriefchen by Cafe Constanze. I dressed her up with a flower hat from another goose from the set and tucked some more shamrocks from Sonst Auch by Create a Smile under her wing. 

I colored her with alcohol markers and Polychromos, then cut her out with my scissors.

I used light, blue-ish green ink to stamp the smaller  shamrocks from the same set next to each other and cut them out as well, then put the goose into them.

Around the goose I placed some die cut shamrocks, that I cut from three different shades of green cardstock. The lighter ones are from Lucky Clover by LawnFawn, the very dark ones by Alexandra Renke. Since these are cut out without any details, so I drew on some using a black Polychromo, but they are hardly visible. 

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich dann noch einen Text aufgeklebt. 

Ich habe die Buchstaben für das Wort Gans mit einer Stanze von Craft Emotions ausgestanzt - einmal aus weißem und einmal aus dunkelblauem Cardstock. Das N habe ich dabei auf den Kopf gedreht - es soll wohl wie ein etwas geschwungenes kleines N aussehen. In Kombination mit Kleinbuchstaben mag das Sinn machen, so aber sah es so aus, als wäre es spiegelverkehrt. Ich habe einer meiner Tochter die Karte mit dem N, so wie es eigentlich designed ist, gezeigt und ihr erster Kommentar war "Mama, hast Du Tomaten auf den Augen". Sie war mit mir einer Meinung, dass es komisch aussah, und da sie Designerin ist, muss sie es wissen. ;)

Das kleine Viel Glück darunter ist aus dem Stempelset Herbstleuchten von Cafe Constanze und weiß auf dunkelblauen Cardstock embosst. 

 

In the upper area of the card added  my text. 

I die cut the letters  for the  word Gans  - goose - from white and blue cardstock using a die by Craft Emotions.  I had to turn the N over - it's meant to look like a a lowercase one and in combinations with other lower case letters it might work. But here it looked like mirrored. I showed the card to one of my daughters and her first comment was "mom, what did you do". She agreed with me that  it looked weird and since she's a designer she knows what she's taliing about. ;)

The smaller Viel Glück - good luck - is from Herbstleuchten by Cafe Constanze and white heat embossed onto dark blue cardstock. The text means "lots of good luck" but has a play of words the words Gans - goose - and ganz - lots of. 

 

 Ich habe den dunkelblauen Hintergrund mit dem Fenster mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Wolkenhintergrund geklebt und dann auch die Gans samt Kleeblättern damit hinterlegt. 

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Herzen aufgeklebt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I used thick foam tape to adhere the dark blue background onto the cloud background, then also backed the other elements with it.

I added some white clay hearts as decoration and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge im September 2026

Es ist Stamptember - und da liegt es natürlich nahe, dass auch bei der SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge das Stempeln im Fokus steht. Und so lautet das Thema auch "celebrate stamping". 

Nun ist es so, dass ich wohl fast jede meiner Karte hätten einreichen können, noch dazu, weil man mehrmals teilnehmen kann. Aber für mich sind Challenges mehr ein Anreiz oder Ideengeber und so habe ich extra diese Karte gemacht.

It's Stamptember - and so it's obvious that stamping is also the focus of this month's SimonSaysStamp IG challenge. The theme is "celebrate stamping". 

Well, I guess I could have entered nearly every card I've made so far this month, the more since you can enter as many cards as you want. But to me challenges are an encouragement and give me an idea where to start with a card so I've decided to make a card just for the challenge.

 

Es ist eine Herbstkarte geworden, so langsam merkt man,  dass es draußen herbstlich wird. Und weil ich aber eigentlich immer noch nicht bereit dafür bin, habe ich zumindest farblich eine etwas andere Kombi verwendet. Trotzdem sieht man der Karte den Herbst an, finde ich, wohl weil ich eher gedeckte, rauchige Farbtöne benutzt habe. 

 Die Stempel, die ich hier benutzt habe, sind bis auf die Texte und die Blätter von SimonSaysStamp.

Für den Hintergrund, von dem ein Teil dann doch eher zum Hauptmotiv gehört, habe ich den großen Stempel aus dem Set Pumpkin to Talk About mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich alle Kürbisse bis auf den, den ich später in einer anderen Farbe coloriert habe, erst mit Distress Ink Weathered Wood und einem Schwämmchen eher zart eingefärbt und dann  Wasser darauf gespritzt. Nach  dem Trocknen habe ich dann die Farbe an einigen Stellen per Ink Smooshing intensiviert. Und zu guter Letzt habe ich dann noch den Weathered Wood Marker - ich glaube, die gibt es nicht mehr, aber wenn ich sie schon habe... - verwendet und ganz gezielt noch an ein paar Stellen Schatten aufgemalt, die ich dann mit einem Pinsel und Wasser ein wenig vermalt habe.

 

 I made a fall card - it's starting to get really fall-ish outside, too. And because I am still so not ready for that I at least picked a kind of different color combo for my card. Still it has some fall vibes, I think. Most likely because I went with muted, kind of smokey color tones.

The stamps I used on my card - except the texts and the leaves - are by SimonSaysStamp.

For the background, that I used a part of as part of my main image, I stamped the large stamp from Pumpkin to Talk About and gold heat embossed  it onto watercolor cardstock. Then I used a blending tool and Distress Ink Weathered Wood to lightly color in all the pumpkins except the one I colored a different color later. I sprayed everything with water to let the color run into all the small areas and, after the cardstock had dried, did some ink smooshing with the same ink to intensify the color in some areas. And then I brought out the Weathered Wood marker - I don't think these are sold anymore but since I have them... - and added some shadows, softening them with a damp brush. 

 

 Um die übrigen Motive zu colorieren habe ich die ZIG Color Real Brush Marker verwendet. Da habe ich sämtliche Farben und konnte somit genau die Töne raussuchen, die mir vorschwebten. Damit habe ich auch die Stiele der Kürbisse im Hintergrund coloriert. 

Den Kürbis, der wie gesagt Teil des Hintergrunds ist, habe ich grau-grün coloriert.  

Dann habe ich zwei Sonnenblumen, Teil des Sunflower Garden Stempels von SimonSaysStamp ebenfalls gold auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst und die Blüten in einem rauchigen Gelb und dunkelbraun coloriert. Ebenfalls gold embosst habe ich dann noch die Outlines der Blätter aus dem Fall Leaves Stempelset von Clearly Besotted. Für sie habe ich mich für olivgrüne Töne entschieden. 

Die Sonnenblumen und die Blätter habe ich mit der Schere genau an der embossten Linie ausgeschnitten.

 

To color the rest of the images in I used the ZIG Color Real Brush markers. I have all the colors here and so was able to pick exactly the shades I had in mind. I used these to color the stems of the pumpkins on the background, too.

The pumpkin, as already mentioned that's a part of the background, I colored a grey-ish green.

Then I gold heat embossed two sunflowers, part of the Sunflower Garden stamp by SimonSaysStamp, onto watercolor cardstock and colored them a smokey yellow and dark brown. And also gold embossed are the outlines of the leaves from Fall Leaves by Clearly Besotted. For these I picke some olive green shades.

I used my scissors  to cut out the flowers and the leaves directly along the embossed lines.

 

  Ich habe gleich zwei kleine Texte auf der Karte untergebracht - beide sind aus dem Set Autumn Blessings von MFT. Ich habe "happy fall" weiß auf zwei kleine Streifen Vellum embosst, ausgeschnitten und an den Stiel des grünen Kürbis geklebt. Den Kleber habe ich dann unter eine Schleife aus weißem und goldenem Twine versteckt. 

 

I added two small texts to my card - both from Autumn Blessings by MFT. I white heat embossed "happy fall" onto two strips of vellum, cut them out and glued them to the stem of the green pumpkin. I've hidden the glue under a bow, tied from white and gold twine.

 

 Auch der zweite Text ist weiß auf Vellum embosst. Ich habe ihn mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und entlang der unteren Kante der Karte direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Den Kleber habe ich nur hinter dem Embossingpulver aufgetragen, so dass er nicht durch das Vellum sichtbar ist.

 

Also the second text is white heat embossed onto vellum. I cut it out with my scissors and glued it along the bottom edge of the card onto the background. I've added tiny dots of glue only in places where there is some embossing on the other side so there is no glue visible through the vellum.

 

 Ich habe die Blätter mit dünnem, die Sonnenblumen mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich ein paar matt-goldene Perlen sowie drei weiße Herzen auf die Karte geklebt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.  

 

I adhered the leaves with thin, the flowers with thick foam tape.

As decoration I added a few matte gold pearls and three white clay hearts and then glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Craft Roulette #337

Es ist wieder Sonntag und Ihr wisst sicher schon, was jetzt kommt: meine Umsetzung der Parameter von Episode #337 von Craft Roulette. Und die waren diesmal wieder sehr gut kombinierbar.

It's sunday again and I am sure you know what this post is about: my card following the parameters of episode #327 of Craft Roulette. These were pretty easy to combine again. 

This week's parameter are:

Bei Pool Party denke ich an türkisblaues Wasser und Sand - und beides passt perfekt zu einer Winterkarte, die dann wieder Cold or Chilly abdeckt. Und so ist eine Winterkarte entstanden.

Der Hintergrund ist mit dem Tall Pines Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp gemacht. Ich habe ein Stück weißen Cardstock damit geprägt. Dann habe ich die Seite, auf der die Bäume "eingedrückt" sind mit Distress Oxides eingefärbt. Damit dabei möglichst wenig Farbe auf den Bäumen landet, habe ich die Kissen (Salvaged Patina, Broken China und Uncharted Mariner) direkt ganz vorsichtig über den Cardstock gezogen. 

Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe für die Schneeflocken aufgespritzt.

 

When I think of a pool party, teal waters and sand come to my mind - both goes great with a winter card, that fits the cold or chilly paramenter. And so I made a winter card.

The background is made using the Tall Pines Embossingfolder by SimonSaysStamp. I dry embossed a piece of white cardstock with it. Then I used the side with the debossed trees  and colored it with Distress Oxides. To make sure as little ink as possible lands on the trees I did it directy to paper, carefully dragging the ink pads (Salvaged Patina, Broken China and Uncharted Mariner) over the paper.

Then I splattered some white acrylic paint as snowflakes onto the cardstock. 

 

 Als Motiv habe ich wieder den Dackel von CreativeDepot verwendet - ich liebe den einfach. Er ist mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert. Und um den Parameter check(s) - also wörtlich übersetzt kariert, wobei es natürlich auch freiere Auslegungsarten wie checken oder Scheck gibt - einzubauen, habe  ich mal wieder Paper Piecing eingebaut. Ich kann mich gar nicht erinnern, wann ich das zuletzt gemacht habe. Ich habe Teile der Bekleidung des Hundes auf klein helltürkis und weiß kariertes Designpapier gestempelt und ebenfalls ein wenig mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert. Dann habe ich sie ausgeschnitten und auf ihren Platz auf dem kompletten Motiv geklebt. Ich finde, Karo steht dem Hund gut.

Damit er nicht so einsam ist, habe ich noch einen kleinen Schneemann aus dem Winterzauber Set von Stampcorner abgestempelt, coloriert und damit er zum Hund passt auch seine Mütze und Schal ge-paper-pieced. 

Vor die Bäume habe ich zwei Schneelagen aus weißem Cardstock gesetzt, die ich leicht mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina gewischt habe. 

Die Schneeflocken auf den Motiven habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt, damit sie nicht gerade auf irgendwelchen wichtigen Motivteilen landen und es damit ruinieren.

 

As the image I used this cute dachshund by CreativeDepot again - I just love this cutie. I colored him with alcohol markers. And for following the check(s) parameter I took that literally and did some paper piecing. I actually don't remember when I did that the last time. I stamped parts of the dog's  clothes onto light aqua and white small checked patterned paper and also shaded them with alcohol markers. Then I cut them out and glued them onto their place in the whole image. I think, checks look good on this dog.

To give the dog a little friend I stamped and colored a little snowman from Winterzauber by Stampcorner. To make him match the dog I paper pieced his scarf and hat, too. 

At the bottom of the trees I added two layers of snow, made from white cardstock and lightly shaded with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina.

The snowflakes on the images I drew on with a white gel pen so make sure, they don't land on any important parts of the images, making them look weird.

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte habe ich eine Girlande mit Herzen zwischen den Bäumen aufgehängt. Sie ist ebenfalls aus dem Set Dackelwohl von CreativeDepot und mit dem selben karierten Designpapier gemacht. 

Darüber habe ich dann mit schwarzer Tinte meinen Text direkt  auf den Hintergrund gestempelt. Er ist aus dem Set Fall Friends von MFT. 

 

In the upper area of the card I've hung up a garland with hearts between the trees. It's again from Dackelwohl by CreativeDepot and stamped onto the same checked patterned paper.

Above it I directly stamped my text onto the background using black ink. It's from Fall Friends by MFT.

 

 Die Stämme der Bäume habe ich mit Alkoholmarkern leicht braun eingefärbt und dann auf den verschneiten Boden sowie die Zweige der Bäume Stickles aufgetragen. 

Schneemann, Hund und Banner sind mit dünnem, die vordere Schneelage mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich ein paar helltürkis-farbene Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used some light brown markers to color in the trunks of the trees and then covered parts of the snowy ground and the tree branches  with Stickles.

I used thin foam tape to adhere the snowman, dog and banner and thick tape behind the top snow layer.

As decoration I added some light aqua clay hearts and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

A2 or ISO A6: Ich habe eine A6 Karte gemacht - das ist einfach das Format, das ich automatisch umsetze

Pool Party: türkisfarbenes Wasser und weißer sowie brauner Sand waren die Farbinspiration hier

Cold or Chilly: das trifft auf Schnee und Winter auf jeden Fall zu

Check(s): ich habe kariertes Designpapier für das Paper Piecing der Kleidung von Hund und Schneemann verwendet.

Winter, Frühling, Sommer, Herbst

Wenn Ihr meinen Blog regelmäßig lest, dann habt Ihr anhand des Posttitels schon erkannt, was Euch heute erwartet: die Herbstversion meiner Jahreszeiten-PopUp-Karten-Reihe mit den Stanzen von ScrappyTails. Da wurde es aber auch Zeit - es ist schon Ende September und ehe wir uns versehen ist der Winter da. 

Hier habe ich mal alle Karten für Euch auf einem Bild. Winter und Frühling sind schon ein wenig ausgebleicht, die haben die  Sommersonne wohl nicht so ganz vertragen und ich werde sie jetzt an einen anderen Ort stellen...

If you are reading my blog regularly you might already have guessed what I have to share with you today: the fall version of my four seasons PopUp card series, made with the dies by ScrappyTails. It's about time! It's already end of september and with the blink of an eye winter will  be here. 

Here I have  a pic with all four cards in it. Winter and spring are already a bit faded, guess they didn't like the summer sun too much so I am going to put them up in another spot....

 

 Und hier hat die  Herbstvariante ihren eigenen Auftritt. Wie auf allen anderen Karten war eine Stadtszene die Grundidee. 

Für die Basis habe ich wieder das Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel Card Set als Basis verwendet. Ich habe sie aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt, der Himmel im Hintergrund ist etwas dunkler gehalten. 

Am Ende des Posts liste ich Euch auf, welche Stanzen aus welchen Sets kommen, das macht das Schreiben - und Lesen - einfacher.  

 

And  here's the fall version in all  its beauty. Like on all the cards on this series the main idea was a city scene.

For the base I used the Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel die  set again. I die cut the base from  light blue cardstock, the sky I cut from a slightly darker shade of blue. 

At the end of the post I will list the sets and dies I've  used for this card. That makes writing and reading the  post easier.

 

 Ganz im Hintergrund der Karte befindet sich wieder die City Skyline, davor die Lage mit Laterne und Bäumen. Diese Anordnung habe ich auf allen der vier Karten so verwendet.

Und hier sieht man auch, dass ich den Birkenstämmen kleine Blätter gegeben habe. Die habe ich aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und ein wenig mit Distress Ink Gathered Twigs gewischt. Und nein, natürlich habe ich nicht jedes Blatt einzeln gestanzt und gewischt. Wie auch schon auf der Frühlings- und der Sommerkarte habe ich hier einfach eine Grünpflanze in mehrere Teile geschnitten und die hinter die 
Äste geklebt.

 

In the background there's the city skyline, in front of it the layer with the trees and lantern. I used these elements like this on every version of this card.

And here you can also see  that I put small leaves behind the branches of the birch trees. I cut them from yellow cardstock and lightly inked them with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs. And of course I did not cut and ink each of these tiny leaves separately. As I did on the spring and summer version of this card I simply cut a plant die into several pieces and glued these behind the branches.

 

 In der Mitte der  Karte habe ich diesmal eine größere Laterne samt Uhr angeklebt. Davor befinden sich ein paar kleine Grasbüschel. Außerdem liegen herabgefallene Blätter im Gras. Auch die sind aus verschiedenen Tönen gelben Cardstocks  gestanzt und mit Gathered Twigs und Ground  Espresso gewischt. 

Dem Baum auf der Lage dahinter habe ich farbiges Laub gegeben. Dafür habe ich einfach eine weitere Sonnenblume gestanzt, mit Alcoholmarkern coloriert und hinter den Baum geklebt. Die Spitzen der Blütenblätter habe ich ein klein wenig mit der Schere abgerundet.  

Und als zweitoberste Lage habe ich diesmal Bäume mit farbigen Blättern eingebaut. Dazu dann gleich noch mehr, wenn man sie besser sieht.

 

In the middle of the card I added a street lantern with a clock this time. At its bottom I glued on a few small patches  of grass. And there are some fallen leaves laying on the ground. I die cut them again from different  shades of yellow cardstock and shaded them with Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso.

I also added some leaves to the tree on the layer behind this one and simply used another sunflower for it. I die cut it from light yellow cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and glued it behind the tree. I used  my scissors to round the tips of the petals a bit.

And as the second from top layer I added some trees with colored leaves here. More about that in a bit when you can see the whole layer.

 

 Vor den braunen Bäumen und den Birken auf der Kartenfront befinden sich ein paar Kürbisse. Da ich kein Orange auf die Karte bringen wollte habe ich mich für grüne Kürbisse entschieden. Auf der rechten Seite befinden sich zwei Sonnenblumen, dazwischen habe ich einige etwas höhere Gräser gesetzt. Und hier befinden sich auch zwei Tauben - eine dritte fliegt ganz oben auf der Karte gerade einen Ast an. 

Die meisten  Elemente  auf der Karte habe ich aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert. Nur die Birken und die Tauben habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. 

 

In front of the brown trees and the birch trees on the card front I placed some pumpkins. I didn't want to add orange to the card so I went with green pumpkins. On the right side of the card I planted two sunflowers, inbetween I put some taller grass. And there are also two doves sitting in the grass - a third one is flying in at the top of the card.

I die cut most of the elements on the card from colored cardstock and shaded them with alcohol markers. Only the birch trees and the doves I cut from white cardstock.

 

 Hier könnt Ihr die zweite Lage mit den braunen Bäumen besser sehen. Die sind eigentlich nicht für die Tunnel Cards gedacht und ein wenig breiter, aber ich habe einfach links und rechts einen schmalen Streifen weggeschnitten und dann eine Graslage mit Klebelaschen dahinter geklebt. 

Die Bäume habe ich aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Vintage Photo gewischt.

 

Here you can see the second layer with the brown trees better. Originally these are not designed to work with the tunnel cards, but I simply cut off a small strip on both sides and then glued a grass layer with flaps behind it.

I die cut the trees from light brown cardstock and shaded them with Vintage Photo.

 

 Wie  immer liebe ich die Tiefe, die die Tunnel Cards ergeben - trotzdem lassen sie sich flach zusammenlegen. 

Die Graslagen habe ich aus verschiedenen Tönen grünen Cardstocks gestanzt und mit Peeled Paint und Rustic Wilderness schattiert. 

 

As always I absolutely love the depth the tunnel cards provide - and you still can fold them flat for mailing. 

The grass layers I die cut from different shades of green cardstock and shaded them with Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness.

 

 Damit schließe ich diese Serie, aber ich werde mir für nächstes Jahr etwas ähnliches überlegen. Mal sehen, was mir einfällt! 

 

With this card I am closing this four season card series but I want to come up with something similar for the next year. We'll see what idea pops up in my head!

Farbe trifft Stempel 2026 #6

 

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

 Für die nächste Farbe trifft  Stempel Challenge lautet das Thema Fantasie. Und ich habe tatsächlich so gar nichts an Motiven in diese Richtung, zumindest wenn man an klassisch Einhorn, Meerjungfrau etc. denkt. Aber ich finde, ein Geist passt auch wunderbar in diese Kategorie. Und so ist diese Karte entstanden, die zwar fast wie eine Halloweenkarte aussieht, aber eben nur fast.

The theme for the next Farbe trifft Stempel challenge the theme is fantasy. And I honestly don't have anything imagewise here, at least not if you think unicorns, mermaids etc. But I think, a ghost fits this theme as well. And so I made this card, that might nearly look like a Halloween card, but only nearly. 

 

 Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Broken China, Uncharted Mariner und Black Soot gewischt und anschließend etwas Wasser aufgespritzt. Auf die hellste Stelle des Himmels habe ich einen Mond geklebt. Den habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Spooky Forest Backdrop von LawnFawn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und am Rand ein wenig mit Salvaged Patina eingefärbt. 

Die Bäume habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und an den Rändern ebenfalls etwas Salvaged Patina aufgetragen. Der linke Baum ist Teil des Spooky Forest Backdrop, der Baum rechts  ist mit der Bare Tree Stanze von Sheena Douglas gemacht. Zwischen die beiden Lagen habe ich dann mein Motiv sowie einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks gesetzt.

 

For the background I inked  a piece  of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Broken China, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot and then splattered some water onto it. Onto the lightest area I glued a moon that I die cut from white cardstock using a die from Spooky Forest Backdrop by LawnFawn. Die Ränder habe ich ganz leicht mit Salvaged Patina eingefärbt.

The trees I die cut from black cardstock and again added some Salvaged Patina onto the edges. The left tree is part of the Spooky Forest Backdrop, the one on the right is the Bare Tree by Sheena Douglas. Between those two trees I put my image and a strip of black cardstock.

 

 Mein Motiv habe ich mit Stempeln aus den Sets Krähm dela Krähm und Gespenstisch Gut von Create a Smile per Masking zusammengesetzt. Dabei  habe ich den Geist mit hellblauer Tinte gestempelt. Für die Teile der Motive dahinter, die  man durch den Geist hindurch sehen sollte, habe ich hellgraue, für den Rest schwarze Tinte verwendet. Das hat etwas an Masking und Planung bedurft, hat aber super geklappt. 

Damit das Motiv so abgedämpft aussieht, wie das nachts eben der Fall ist, habe ich alles bis auf den Geist erstmal ganz rudimentär grau coloriert. Ich habe einen hellen, einen mittleren und einen dunklen Alkoholmarker dafür verwendet, die Motivteile hinter dem Geist habe ich nur mit dem hellsten Ton eingefärbt. Dann habe ich alles farbig coloriert. Der Geist wirkt so richtig  schön leuchtend und sticht hervor. Das Gras  habe ich mit einem schwarzen Polychromo aufgezeichnet. Die von der Laterne ausgehenden Lichtstrahlen habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht.

Dann habe ich das Motiv mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und die weißen Außenkanten - ich schneide sehr ungern direkt an der Stempellinie - mit zum Hintergrund farblich passenden türkisfarbenen Markern eingefärbt. 

Dann habe ich aus dem Set Gespenstisch Gut noch das Augenpaar einige Male mit gelblich-brauner Tinte abgestempelt, gelb coloriert und hier dann doch entlang der Stempellinie ausgeschnitten. Die habe ich dann auf die Bäume geklebt.  

 

I put my image/scene together using stamps from Krähm dela Krähm and Gespenstisch Gut by Create a Smile by doing masking. I used light blue ink to stamp the ghost. For the parts of the rest of the images, that I wanted to appear as if seen through the ghost, I used light grey, for the other parts black ink. It took me quite a lot of masking and some planning but it worked out fine.

To make the images appear muted, just as it happens during the night, I first laid down a layer of grey, using a light, a medium and  a dark alcohol marker, leaving out the ghost. The parts of the image behind the ghost I only colored in using the lightest grey marker. Then I colored the  images. This makes the ghost look glow-y and pop out. I added the grass with a black Polychromo, the rays  of lights that radiate from the lantern I added with a white gel pen.

Then I cut the image out with my scissors and colored the white outlines - I don't really like cutting right along the stamped lines - with some aqua markers that match the background. 

I also stamped the eyes from Gespenstisch Gut a few times using yellowi-ish brown ink, colored them in yellow and cut them out, this time right along the stamped lines. I then scattered them on the trees around the images.

 

 Ich wollte hier bewusst keinen Halloweentext auf die Karte kleben. Nach einigem Suchen habe ich mich dann für ein "you light up my life" von Concord and 9th entschieden und es direkt auf den schwarzen Streifen unter dem Motiv weiß aufembosst. Daneben befinden sich zwei kleine Herzkonfetti, ein drittes  habe ich auf das Hemd der Vogelscheuche geklebt.

Die gestempelten Motive sind mit dünnem, der Baum auf der rechten Seite mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Die Augenpaare in den Bäumen habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I didn't want to add a Halloween text to this card. After looking for an alternative for some time I went with a "you light up my life" by Concord and 9th and white heat embossed it directly onto the black strip under the images. Next to it I added two light green heart confetti, a third one I glued onto the scarecrow's shirt. 

I adhered the stamped images with thin, the tree on the right with thick foam tape. The eyes in the trees I covered with Glossy Accents.  Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Technique Throwback Thursday im September 2026

Kennt Ihr das - die einfachsten Karten dauern oft am längsten. So ging es mir auch mit dieser Karte, die für die Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge im September entstanden ist. Schon allein das Aussuchen der Farben hat ewig gedauert. Und weil es in dem Video des Monats darum geht, Stempel im Farbverlauf abzustempeln - und ich mal wieeder etwas drüber war - brauchte ich viele Farben... Wahrscheinlich lag es auch daran, dass ich mich hier auf ungewohntes Terrain begeben habe, aber genau dafür ist diese - und andere - Challenge ja da. Und mit dem Ergebnis bin ich dann doch zufrieden.

Does it happen to you, too - the most simple cards sometimes take the longest.  That's what happened with this card for the September Technique Throwback Thursday challenge. Just picking the colors took me forever. And because this month highlighted video is about inking stamps in a color gradient - and because I didn't want to repeat any  color - I needed many of them. Most likely also  leaving my comfort zone made this  card one  that took me longer to make. But that's exactly what  this - and other - challenges is about. And I really like the outcome.

 

Gestartet  habe ich mit dem mittleren Oval mit den Motiven. Später brauchte das aber einen Untergrund. Da ich für das kleinere Oval in der Mitte und den Aufleger und die Mattung - die Capsule Basics Stanzen von TheGreetery verwendet hatte, habe ich die dann auch für meine Kartenbasis benutzt.

Ich habe das größte Oval aus olivgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und  mit weißer Pigment-Tinte den Herbstlaub-Stempel von Create a Smile aufgestempelt. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann das große gewellte Oval ausgestanzt. Den grünen Cardstock habe ich im oberen Bereich, etwa 1 cm von der Kante entfernt, gefalzt und nur diese schmale Lasche auf das weiße Oval geklebt. So kann man den grünen Teil aufklappen und auf den weißen, der als Karteninnere fungiert, einen persönlichen Text schreiben.

 

I started with the smaller oval and the images. Later I needed some kind of background. Since I had used the Capsule Basics dies by TheGreetery for the smaller oval, the frame and the mat I used these for my card base as well.

I die cut the largest oval from olive green cardstock and used white pigment ink to stamp the Herbstlaub background by Create a Smile onto it.  

From white cardstock I die cut the large scalloped oval. Then I scored  across the green cardstock, about 1 cm away from the edge, and only glued this small flap to the white oval. Now you can fold the green part up and writer your personal message, that is the card base, onto the white part.

 

 Die Herbstblätter, die das Hauptmotiv der Karte sind, habe ich mit 9 verschiedenen Orange-, Gelb-, Rot- und Brauntönen auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Sie sind aus dem recht alten Fall Flowers Stempelset von Clearly Besotted. Die Blätter und die Outlines sind hier verschiedene Stempel. Nach dem Stempeln der Blätter habe ich den äußeren Rand des Cardstocks mit Distress Ink Old Paper und ein wenig Shabby Shutters gewischt und anschießend die goldenen Outlines und Blattadern mit dem goldenen Stempelkissen von Lisa Horton aufgestempelt. Das ist eine weitere Errungenschaft vom Stempelmekka. Letztes Jahr hatte ich mich zu spät entschlossen und es war ausverkauft. Diesmal durfte es dann mit. Und ich muss sagen, ich kann verstehen, warum jeder es so toll findet. Der Glanz und Schimmer und die Deckungskraft sind wirklich super. Anschließend habe ich noch goldene Meallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

In dem genannten Video geht es nicht nur darum, Motive mehrfarbig zu stempeln, sondern auch ein Fenster für den Text einzubauen. Ich habe mich für die Variante entschieden, aus dem Motiv einen Streifen herausgeschnitten, der mit Acetate hinterlegt einen Platz für den Text bietet.  Den habe ich mit goldenem Embossingpulver direkt auf das Acetate embosst. Der Text ist aus dem Set Autumn Blessings von MFT, eines meiner liebsten Herbstsets, auch wenn ich es viel zu selten verwende. 

Aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock habe ich dann das kleinere der gewellten Ovale aus dem Capsule Basics Set gestanzt und den Rand mit goldenem Embossingpulver überzogen. Ich habe dafür eines dieser grobkörnigen Embossingpulver benutzt, die vor einigen Jahren vor allem bei Shabby Chic echt in waren. Da habe ich noch einige, auch mehrfarbige. Hier habe ich nur Gold benutzt.

Aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock habe ich dann noch die von der Größe her passende Capsule Filigre Border ausgestanzt und auf den Cardstock mit den Blättern geklebt. 

 

The fall leavevs, that are the  main element of the card, are stamped onto white cardstock with 9 different shades of orange, yellow, red and brown ink.  They are from the quite old Fall Flowers stamp set by Clearly Besotted. The leaves in this sest and their outlines are individual stamps. After stamping the leaves I inked the edge of the cardstock with Distress Ink Old Paper and a bit of Shabby Shutters and then stamped the gold outlines and sheets with the gold metallic ink by Lisa  Horton. Those are another buy from the craft fair. Last year I decided quite late that I wanted to buy them and they were sold out. This year I had pre-ordered them. And I have to admit that I understand why everyone loves them. The shine and shimmer are amazing, even on dark cardstock. Then I splattered gold metallic watercolor onto the cardstock.

Said video is not only about stamping images in a color gradient but also  to create a window for the text. I decided to do the version where a strip is cut out of the image. The two pieces get connected with acetate, that is a place to put the text onto or under it. I gold heat embossed the text onto the acetate. The text is from Autumn Blessings by MFT, one of my favorite fall sets. I just use it way too seldomly. 

From dark brown cardstock I die cut the smaller of the scalloped ovals from the Capsule Basics set and covered the edge with gold embossing powder. I used one of these grainy embossing powders, that were used mainly for shabby chic cards a few years ago. I have some of these legt, also multi colored ones. But I went with just gold here.

From gold mirror cardstock I die cut the Capsule Filigre Border that fit in size to the oval and glued it onto the white cardstock with the leaves. 

 

 Ich habe ein paar Eicheln und Haselnüsse von MyPaperProject ausgestanzt und ganz rudimentär mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert. Dann habe ich sie nahe des Texts auf den Cardstock mit den Blättern geklebt. 

 

 I die cut some acorns and some hazelnuts by MyPaperProject and very basically shaded them with alcohol markers. Then I glued them close to the text window onto the cardstock with the leaves. 

  

 Hier sieht man den Glanz auf der Karte viel besser.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar goldene  Perlen und braune Herzen auf rechts und links des Textes aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift einen Rahmen auf den grünen Cardstock gemalt.

As decoration I added a few gold pearls and some brown clay hearts to the left and right of the text. I also used  a white gel pen to draw a frame onto the green cardstock.

Der Herbst ist da, es ist nicht mehr zu leugnen. Aber basteltechnisch freue ich mich darauf, denn jetzt kann man sich was Farben und deren Leuchtkraft angeht so richtig austoben. 

Da  passt das aktuelle Thema Woodland Wonders der LawnFawnatics Challenge  perfekt dazu, denn Herbst und Wald kann man prima kombinieren.

Fall is here, there's no point in denying it any longer. But when it comes to crafts I am really looking forward to it, there's no better time to bring out all kinds of bright colors. 

The Woodland Wonders theme of the current LawnFawnatics challenge is perfect for that - woods and fall go wonderfully together. 

 

Ich habe hier wieder eine Karte mit einem Teil des Herbst-Releases von LawnFawn gemacht. Und gleich vorweg genommen - die Kartenfront besteht aus Acetate. Deswegen spiegelt sie auch auf den Bildern. Aber keine Angst, Ihr bekommt alle Motive zu sehen. 

Ich habe hier den Fall Leaves Backdrop aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Distress Inks Shabby Shutters, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Crackling Campfire, Vintage Photo und Aged Mahogany gewischt. Dann habe ich Wasser über alles gespritzt - gerade so viel, dass die Farben nicht zu sehr ineinander verlaufen. Nun, das hat die Farben auch aufgehellt und ich habe nach dem Trocknen eine weitere Lage Tinte aufgewischt. Den Zwischenschritt mit dem Wasser hätte ich mir also quasi sparen können... 

Ich habe weiße Acrylfarbe auf die Blätter aufgespritzt und dann einen türkisfarbenen Rahmen, gemacht  mit einer der Stitched Rectangle Frames, drumherum geklebt. Die Ränder des Rahmens habe ich ein wenig  mit Uncharted Mariner abgedunkelt. 

Hinter den Blätterrahmen habe ich dann Acetate geklebt und von hinten einen weiteren türkisfarbenen Rahmen aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich die Rückseite des Blätterrahmens mit Uncharted Mariner und Peacock Feathers gewischt, so dass sie nicht gar so sehr hervorsticht, wenn die Karte geöffnet it. 

 

I made another card using some of the products from the fall release by LawnFawn. And to mention it right at the beginning - the card front is made from acetate. That's why it is reflecting the light. But don't worry, you'll get to see all the elements of the card.

I die cut the Fall Leaves Backdrop from watercolor cardsdtock and then used Distress Ink Shabby Shutters, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Crackling Campfire, Vintage Photo and Aged Mahogany. Then I misted the cardstock with water - just enough so the colors don't run all together. Well, that lightened the colors and so I added some more ink once the cardstock had dried. Guess I could have skipped the step with the water...

I splattered some white acrylic paint onto the leaves and then glued a teal frame, made using one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames, around it. The corners I have darkened with some Uncharted Mariner.

Behind the leaves I glued a sheet of acetate and then glued another teal frame onto the back. I also used Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner to ink the back of the leafy frame so it isn't that bright white and blends in a bit with the frame on top of it when the card is opened.

 

 

 Auf die Beerenzweige im Blätterrahmen  habe ich dann einige pink-orange-gold irisierende Perlen geklebt. 

Durch den Blätterrahmen sieht man die  Szene mit der großen Eichel. Aber hinter/in der Karte steckt mehr:

 

I glued some pink-orange-gold iridescent pearls onto the berry branches that  are  included in the leaves frame.

Through the card front you can see the scene with the large acorn. But there's more behind/inside this card:

 

 

 Ich habe hier die Big Hugs PopUp  Stanze mit den großen Eicheln aus dem neuen Release  kombiniert und die Arme des Mechanismus so gekürzt, dass zwei kleine Eichhörnchen darauf passen. Die kommen beim Öffnen der Karte hinter der Eichel hervor.

 

I used the Big Hugs PopUp die and combined it with the large acorns from the fall realease. I made the moving arms of the mechanism shorter so two little squirrels fit onto them. These are showing up from behind the acorn when the card gets opened.

 

 Die Rückseite der Karte ist gleichzeitig der Hintergrund für meine  Szene. Ich habe oben eine schmale  Lasche eingearbeitet, auf der ich die Kartenfront befestigt habe. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Ink Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner gewischt und dann mit weißer Acrylfarbe bespritzt habe.

 

The backside  of my card is also the backdrop for my scene. I added a thin flap along the top edge of the card and glued the cardfront onto it.

The background is made from teal cardstock that I inked with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner, then splattered white acrylic paint onto it.

 

 

 

 Die große Eichel ist mit den Sets Stitched  Acorn Frame und Outside  In Stitched Acorn gemacht. Ich habe sie  aus verschiedenen Tönen braunen Cardstocks gestanzt und mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert. 

Am unteren Ende der Eichel befinden sich einige Blätter sowie kleine Eicheln. Die sind ebenfalls in den beiden Eichel-Sets enthalten, nur das jeweils obere Blatt ist aus dem Small Stichted Leaves Set. Ich habe sie aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt und zusammen mit dem Rahmen auf der Kartenfront eingefärbt. Die Eicheln sind wieder mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert. 

Die kleinen Eichhörnchen von LawnFawn haben ja einen besonderen Platz in meinem Herzen, denn es war das erste Set von LawnFawn, das ich gekauft habe. Ich habe hier Eichhörnchen aus den Sets Let's  Go Nuts und Backyard Bird Feeder kombiniert, alles mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

Zwei der Eichhörnchen habe ich dann auf die Arme des Big Hugs PopUp Mechanismus geklebt und die überstehenden Armteile weggeschnitten. Den Mechanismus selbst habe ich wieder aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. 

 

The large acorn is made using the sets Stitched  Acorn Frame and Outside In Stitched Acorn. I cut it from different shades of brown cardstock  and shaded it with alcohol markers.

At the bottom of the acorn I added some leaves and smaller acorns. The dies  come also in the acorn sets, only the top leaf on the left and right is from Small Stitched Leaves. I  die cut them from watercolor  cardstock and inked them with the same ink and  the same way I have done the leaves frame. The acorns are again colored in with alcohol markers.

The small squirrels by LawnFawn have  a special place  in my heart, they were the  very first set by LawnFawn I ever bought. Here I combined squirrels form the sets Let's Go Nuts and Backyard Bird Feeder, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out with my scissors. 

 I glued two of the squirrels onto the arms of the Big Hugs PopUp mechanism and cut off the overhanging parts of these arms. The mechanism I die cut from teal cardstock.

 

 Im unteren Teil der Karteninnenseite habe ich meinen Text angebracht. Bei geschlossener Karte ist der quasi komplett vom Blätterrahmen sowie dem dann weiter unten liegenden Motiv verdeckt.

Ich habe das Wort Fall aus dem Giant Happy Fall, das ich aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock gestanzt habe,  ausgeschnitten und mittig auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

Der Rest des Textes ist aus dem Set Let's Go Nuts und mit brauner Tinte auf hellbraunen Cardstock gestempelt.

 

In the lower area of my card I added the text. When the card is closed it is nearly completly covered by the leafy frame and the image, that is laying further down then.

I cut out the word fall from the Giant Happy Fall, cut from dark brown cardstock, and glued it onto the cennter of  the background.

The rest of the text is from Let's Go Nuts and stamped with brown ink onto light brown cardstock. 

 

 Da die Karte mit zu viel Deko im Inneren  zu dick  werden und sich nicht mehr schließen lassen würde, habe ich darauf verzichtet. Außerdem finde ich, dass die Szene schon Deko genug ist. 

 

Since the card gets too thick when there is added too much decoration on the inside I decided to not add any at all. I also think that the scene doesn't really need any.
