Hallo Ihr Lieben!

 Mit der heutigen Karte bleiben wir maritim - denn auch das neuste Release von LawnFawn enthielt das ein oder andere maritime Produkt. Einige davon kamen auf dieser Karte zum Einsatz - kombiniert mit älteren Stempeln und Stanzen.

With today's card we're staying at the beach because also the latest release by LawnFawn contains a few beach/ocean related products. I used a few of them on this card, combining them with older stamps and dies.

 

Mit der Karte machen wir einen weiteren Ausflug an den Strand, diesmal in den späteren Abendstunden. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Oxide Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Uncharted Mariner und ein wenig Black Soot gewischt habe. Das Rot und Dunkeltürkis zu verblenden, war gar nicht einfach und man sieht den Übergang immernoch. Trotzdem mag ich den Himmel genau so, wie er ist. 

Nur auf den dunkleren äußeren Teil habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe und goldene Metallic-Watercolor als erste Sterne aufgespritzt.  Der Sternenhimmel ist am Meer immer so viel schöner und intensiver....

 

With this card we are taking another trip to the beach, this time in the late evening.

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock, that I inked with Distress Oxide Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Uncharted Mariner and a bit of Black Soot. It was quite a challenge to blend the red and dark aqua and you can still see some kind of harsh line. But I like the sky exactly how it is.

Only onto the dark outer areas I splattered white acrylic paint and gold metallic watercolor as the first stars of the night. The night sky is always so much more intense and beautiful...

 

 Die Palmen samt Insel/Sandhügel davor sind mit dem neuen Platform Pop-Up Palm Tree Inserts Stanzenset gemacht. Sie es der Name schon verrät, ist das eigentlich ein weiteres Deko-Element für die Platform Pop-Up Stanze. Für die hatte ich aber an dem Tag, als die Karte entstanden ist, nicht genug Zeit. Und ich finde, die Palmen sehen auch auf einer normalen Karte toll aus.

Ich habe den Sand aus braunem, die Palmen aus schwarzem und die Palmblätter zusätzlich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Den Sandhügel habe ich mit Distress Oxide Ground Espresso gewischt und dann feine Spritzer weißer Acrylfarbe und goldener Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Die Stämme der Palmen habe ich nur mit einem weißen Gelstift etwas verziert, die Palmblätter habe ich mit Copics grau-türkis coloriert und dann leicht versetzt aufgeklebt.

 

The palm trees with the island/sand  in front of them are made using the new Platform Pop-Up Palm Tree Inserts. As the name says, this is meant to be another decorative element to use in a Platform Pop-Up card. But the day I made this card I didn't have enough time for a Platform Pop-Up. And I really think, the palm trees also look great on a regular card.

I die cut the sand from brown, the palm trees from black and the palm leaves from white cardstock. I inked the sand with Disress Oxide Ground Espresso and then added fine splatters of white acrylic paint and gold metallic watercolor.

I added some details to the palm trees with a white gel pen and colored the leaves a grey-ish turquoise using Copics. Then I adhered them a bit offset.

 

 Vor den Hügel mit den Palmen habe ich eine weitere Lage Sand geklebt. Der ist aus heller braunem Cardstock und mit einer der Slimline Stitched Hills Stanze gemacht, dann mit Walnut Stain gewischt und wieder mit weißer Acrylfarbe und goldener Metallic-Watercolor bespritzt. Außerdem habe ich mit den Sandy Accents Stanzen einige Wellen/Sandhügel in diese Lage gestanzt.

Die Muscheln sind ebenfalls neu und aus dem Set Stitched Seashells. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Und dann habe ich vor die Muscheln noch eine Sandburg und einen Krebs aus dem Set Life is Good gesetzt. 

Für meinen Text wollte ich eigentlich einen längeren Text unter dem Krebs direkt auf den Sand stempeln. Aber irgendwie passte nichts so recht. Also habe ich mich umentschieden und aus weißem Cardstock ein Scripty Aloha gestanzt. Das habe ich dann ebenfalls "sandig" coloriert und ganz unten links auf die Karte geklebt. Außerdem habe ich zwei Sprechblasen aus dem Set All the Speechbubbles über dem Krebs angebracht und dorthinein ein "shello there" und ein "sea ya" aus dem Set How You Bean Seashell Add-On gestempelt.

 

I  added another layer of sand on top of the hill with the palm trees. I cut that from a lighter brown cardstock using one of the Slimline Stitched Hills dies, inked it with Walnut Stain and again splattered white acrylic paint and gold metallic watercolor onto it. I also used some of the Sandy Accents dies to cut some waves/hills into the sand.

The seashells are again from the latest release. I cut them from white cardstock using the Stitched Seashells die set, then colored them with Copics.

And in front of the seashells I added a sand castle and a crab from Life is Good.

For the text I wanted to stamp a longer sentiment directly onto the sand under the crab  but nothing really wokred. So I changed my mind and cut a Scripty Aloha from white cardstock. I colored it with a "sandy" look and adhered it to the bottom left of my card. I also added two speechbubbles from All the Speechbubbles above the crab and stamped "shello there" and "sea ya" from How You Bean Seashell Add-On onto them.

 

 Natürlich habe ich mit 3D Tape verschiedene Lagen auf der Karte gebildet. Die Palmen samt Hügel sind mit Flüssigkleber auf den Hintergrund geklebt, die Sandlage mit den Muscheln außen sind mit dünnem, die restlichen Elemente mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch 3 kleine rote Herzen aufgeklebt und dann den dekorierten Cardstock auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

Of course I used foam tape to create different layers on my card. The palm trees and hill are glued directly onto the background using liquid glue, the sand layer with the seashells on the very left and right are backed with thin, the other elements with thick foam tape.

I added three red clay hearts as decoration, then adhered the card panel to a white note card.
