Make a wish

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

In den letzten Wochen war hier familienbedingt wahnsinnig viel los und so komme ich erst jetzt langsam dazu, meine auf der Stempelmesse Süd erstandenen Schätze einzuweihen. So auch auf dieser Karte, die zwar eher einfach ist, mir aber wirklich gut gefällt.

There was a lot happening in our family those last weeks and so I find the time just now to use all  those goodies I bought at the stamp fair beginning of april. One product I used on this card, that's more on the simpler side (at least for me) but I really like how it turned out.

 

Startpunkt für den Hintergrund war ein Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Ink Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire sowie ein klein wenig Salvaged Patina gewischt habe. In der Mitte habe ich ein kleines Stück weiß gelassen.

Nur auf die äußeren, dunklen Bereiche des Cardstocks habe ich ein wenig weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann noch zwei Wolkenbordüren gestanzt und wieder mit Salvaged Patina ein wenig gewischt.

 

I started my backgroud with a piece of white carstock, that I inked with Distress Ink Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and a bit of Salvaged Patina. I left a small area in the center white.

Only onto the outer dark areas I splattered a bit of white acrylic paint.

From white cardstock I die cut some cloud borders and used Salvaged Patina again to shade them lightly.

 

 Und das neu erstandene Produkt, von dem ich gesprochen habe, sind diese kleinen geflügelten Schweinchen von Creative Depot. Es sind nicht etwas Stempel, sondern Embossingfolder, die die Motive gleichzeitig ausstanzen. Das kleine Schwein Mathilda finde ich absolut zuckersüß, aber das in einem Stempelset enthaltene Motiv war mir einfach zu klein. Also habe ich mich für den Embossingfolder entschieden. 

Ich habe beide Schweinchen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt/in weißen Cardstock geprägt und dann, ähnlich wie beim NoLine Coloring, mit Copics coloriert. Das hat erstaunlich gut geklappt!

Unter die Schweinchen habe ich jeweils noch ein hell-türkis farbenes Oval als Schatten geklebt.

 

And the new item, that I talked about, are  those little winged piggies by Creative Depot. They are actually not stamps, but embossing folder, that also cut out the images. I love this little pig named Mathilda, but the version, that was included in a stamp set, was just too small for me. So I went with the embossing folder instead.

 I cut/embossed both images from/into white cardstock and then colored them with Copics, pretty similar to no-line coloring. It worked surprisingly well!

Under the pigs I put a small oval, cut from light aqua cardstock, as the ground.

 

 Da die beiden Schweinchen an den gleichen Punkt am Himmel zu schauen scheinen, musste da natürlich etwas sein, das ihren Blick so auf sich zieht. Ich habe mich für einen Stern entschieden. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und wieder mit Copics coloriert. 

Von der Stelle ausgehend, auf der sich der Stern befinden sollte, habe ich dann mit helltürkis farbener Kreide Strahlen auf den Himmel gewischt. 

Und zu der Szene passte dieser Text aus dem Set Wish Upon a Star von MamaElephant perfekt. Ich habe ihn einfach mit weißem Embossingpulver direkt auf den Hintergrund embosst.

 

Since those two piggies seem to look at the same spot in the sky I needed something to be there for them to look at. I went with a star. I die cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

Radiating from the spot, where I wanted to put the star, I added rays to the sky, using light aqua chalk.

And with that scene, this text from Wish Upon a Star by MamaElephant just worked perfectly. I simply white heat embossed it directly onto the background.

 

 Die Schweinchen habe ich mit dünnem, die vordere Wolkenreihe  mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Die Flügel der Schweine und den Stern habe ich mit Stickles ein wenig beglittert und außerdem mit einem weißen Gelstift einige Sterne/Glitzerpunkte um den Stern und an den Himmel gemalt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the pigs with thin, the top cloud layer with this foam tape. I added Stickles to the pigs' wings and the star and also added some stars/light reflections to the star and sky using a white gel pen.

Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.

Unter "seize the day" - also in etwa Carpe Diem - versteht wohl jeder etwas anderes. Die Vögel und Eichhörnchen auf meiner Karte scheinen hier aber, jeder auf seine Art, recht erfolgreich den Vorsatz umzusetzen.

I think, seize the day means something different for everyone. The birds and squirrels on today's card seem to be pretty successful here, everyone in their own way.

 

Hier habe ich für den Hintergrund ein Stück weißen Cardstock genommen und mit einem Wolkenstencil und Distress Ink Salvaged Patina Wolken aufgewischt.

Aus grünem Cardstock habe ich den Meadow Backdrop Portrait gestanzt und den oberen Hügel ausgeschnitten. Den habe ich später als unteren Grashügel aufgesetzt und dabei die größeren Pflanzenstiele herausgeschnitten. Die Graslagen habe ich mit Twisted Citron und Mowed Lawn gewischt. 

Eigentlich wollte ich hier mal auf Farbspritzer verzichten. Später aber war mir der Himmel zu fad. Da die Motive bereits aufgeklebt waren und es somit zu spät zum Splattern war, habe ich einige Punkte mit einem weißen Gelstift auf den Himmel gemalt.

 

For  the background I used a piece of white cardstock and added clouds to it using a cloud stencil and Distress Ink Salvaged Patina.

From green cardstock I cut the Meadow Backdrop Portrait and cut off the top hill. Later I used that as the bottom grass layer, cutting off the larger flower stems. I inked the grass layers with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

Originally I had planned to not add any splatter to the card but later I found the sky too plain. Since I had already adhered the images and so it was to late for splattering I simply added some small dots with a white gel pen.

 

 Fangen wir bei dieser Karte mal von unten an.

Ich habe hier mittig die Mauer aus dem Simply Celebrate Hangout Set verwendet. Die habe ich per Maskieren erhöht, eigentlich hat sie nur drei Steinreihen. Ich habe einige zusätzliche Reihen angestempelt und die Mauer mit Copics coloriert. Außerdem habe ich it einem weißen Gelstift die Fugen nachgemalt, so finde ich die Mauer etwas realistischer.

In der Wiese vor der Mauer sitzen zwei Eichhörnchen, von denen eines dem anderen eine Geschichte vorliest. Und die beiden scheinen noch einiges vorzuhaben, denn hinter ihnen liegen noch zwei hohe Bücherstapel. Auf einem sitzt ein kleiner Bücherwurm und lauscht ebenfalls der Geschichte.

Die Eichhörnchen auf der Karte sind aus den Sets Let's Go Nuts, Little Woodland Library, Backyard Bird Feeder und Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. Die Bücherstapel sind aus Little Woodland Library und Little Woodland Library Friends. Aus dem ersten dieser Sets ist auch der kleine Wurm. 

In der Wiese habe ich noch einige Blumen aus Backyard Bird Feeder gepflanzt. 

 Und weil auf der Karte zum Schluss irgendwie kein Platz mehr war, habe ich meinen Text einfach mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf die Mauer gestempelt. Das war ein wenig ein Balance-Akt, denn ich hatte die Szene bereits komplett zusammengeklebt. Hinter der Mauer befindet sich natürlich 3D Tape, allerdings nicht vollflächig und so war ich mir nicht sicher, ob das mit dem Textstempeln hier funktionieren wird. Mit viel Druck hat es dann zum Glück geklappt. Der Text ist aus dem Set Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On.

 

Let't talk about the bottom of this card first.

To the center of the scene I adhered the brick wall from Simply Celebrate Hangout. I did some masking to make it taller, originally it only has three rows of bricks. I added some additional rows and colored the wall with Copics. I used a fine white gel pen to trace the mortar between the bricks, I think, it looks more realistic this way.

In front of the wall two squirrels are sitting in the grass, one is reading a book to the other one. Seems like those two have a few more books to go - there are two huge piles stacked up behind them. On one there's a little bookworm, also listening to the story.

The squirrels on this card are from Let's Go Nuts, Little Woodland Library, Backyard Bird Feeder  and Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. The stacks of books are from Little Woodland Library and Little Woodland Library Friends. From the first set is also the little worm.

I planted some flowers from Backyard Bird Feeder in the grass.

And since there was no room for my text after I had put the scene together I stamped it directly onto the wall using black ink. It was a bit of a risk because I had used foam tape behind the wall, but not covering it completly and I wasn't sure if stamping onto it would be possible. Luckily it worked with some elbow greese. The text is from Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On.

 

 Ganz oben habe ich einen großen Ast quer auf den Hintergrund geklebt, auf dem ein Eichhhörnchen fröhlich herumspringt. 

Oben auf der Mauer steht ein Vogelfutterhaus voller leckerer Körner, die nicht nur den Vögeln schmecken. Eines der Eichhörnchen knabbert gerade genüßlich einen Sonnenblumenkern und ein anderes schaut hoffnungsvoll vom Fuß der Mauer nach oben. Einer der Vögel scheint sich nicht ganz sicher zu sein, was er von den nicht-gefiederten Gästen halten soll...

Die Vögel, das Vogelhaus und der kleine Körnerhaufen nebendem Haus sind genauso wie der Ast samt Blüten aus den Sets Backyard Bird Feeder und Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. Alle Motive auf der Karte sind mit Copic coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 

At the very top of the scene I adhered a branch across the card, on that one little squirrel is jumping around happily.

On top of the wall there's a bird house full of yummy seeds, that are not only a treat to the birds. One of the squirrels is snacking on a sunflower seed and another one is looking up happily from the bottom of the wall. Seems like one of the birds isn't sure what to think about the additional guests...

The birds, the bird house and the little pile of seeds next to as well as the branch and flowers on it are all from Backyard Bird Feeder and Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. I colored all images with Copics and cut them out with my scissors.

 

 Wie schon erwähnt - und wahrscheinlich nicht anders erwartet - habe ich 3D Tape zum Zusammensetzen der Szene benutzt. Außerdem habe ich einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und als Rahmen um die Szene gesetzt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

As already mentioned - and most likely also expected - did I use foam tape to put the scene together. I also die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from white cardstock and put it around the scene.

Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Sending special birthday wishes

Momentan stocke ich meinen Vorrat an Geburtstagskarten etwas auf - deswegen habe ich heute eine weitere Geburtstagskarte für Euch.

I am stocking up on my birthday card stash - and so I have another birthday card to share with you today.

 

Auf dieser Karte kommt ganz spezielle Geburtstagspost. Was für eine Überraschung für den Empfänger, wenn aus den Kuverts im Briefkasten nicht nur Briefe, sondern vor allem kleine Partytiere samt Konfetti und Luftschlangen kommen!

Der Hintergrund ist aus einem Stück hellblauen Cardstocks gemacht, auf den ich zuerst den Romantic Script von MFT aufgestempelt habe. Zum Abstempeln habe ich Distress Ink Hickory Smoke benutzt und den Abdruck per Second Generation Stamping gemacht, das Motiv also vor dem Abstempeln einmal auf ein Stück Schmierpapier gedrückt, um einen Teil der Farbe abzunehmen. So wird die Schrift nicht so intensiv. Die Ränder des Cardstocks habe ich dann ein wenig mit Hickory Smoke gewischt.

Um das Post-Thema weiter aufzugreifen habe ich einen rot-blau gestreiften Rahmen, wie er auf Luftpostkuverts zu finden ist, aufgewischt. Dafür habe ich die Postage Collage Coloring Stencils von WaffleFlower benutzt. Nun ist es so, dass mir die Idee erst kam, nachdem ich den Hintegrund bereits angefangen hatte - natürlich in deutschem Kartenformat. Die Stencil sind aber auf das amerikanische A2 Format ausgelegt. Mit etwas Tricksen und Verschieben der Stencils habe ich es dann aber geschafft, einen fast perfekten Rahmen hinzukriegen. Zum Wischen habe ich hier Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und Lumberjack Plaid benutzt.

 

On this card someone gets some really special birthday mail. What  a surprise that must be for the recipient when there are not only letters inside the envelopes, but a lot of small party animals and confetti!

The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock. I first stamped the Romantic Script by MFT onto it, using Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and doing second generation stamping to make the script softer. For second generation stamping you simply stamp onto a piece of copy paper first to take off some of the ink before stamping on your actual cardstock. Then I inked the edges of the cardstock with a bit of Hickory Smoke.  

To pick up the mail theme on the background I stenciled a red and blue striped frame, like it's printed onto air mail envelopes. I used the Postage Collage Coloring stencil set by WaffleFlower for it. I had the idea for this frame after I had already started my background - of course in the german standard card size, but the stencils are made for the american A2 format. With a bit of stencil moving and skipping stripes I managed to end up with a nearly perfectly frame. I did the stripes with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and Lumberjack Plaid. 

Auf der Karte habe ich dann erst einige Briefkuverts verteilt. Die sind mit dem Postage Collage Mini Seals Stanzenset aus weißem Cardstock gemacht, aus dem sind auch die Briefe und Siegel. Die Siegel habe ich mit Copics rot coloriert und in die Mitte jeweils einen kleinen Stern geklebt.

Die Kuverts und Briefe habe ich mit den bereits erwähnten Distress Inks leicht gewischt, für die Briefmarken und Adresslinien auf den Kuverts im Hintergrund kam die Postage Collage Adressed Envelope Stencil zum Einsatz.

Und dann habe ich vier der Little Agenda Sets von MamaElephant hervorgeholt: Bunny, Cat, Dog und Bear. Ich habe einige Tiere ausgewählt und mit Copics in warmen Grautönen coloriert. Einige kleine Details habe ich dann farblich passend zum Rest der Karte in rot bzw. helltürkis coloriert. 

Aus helltürkisem Cardstock habe ich Luftschlangen, aus hellrotem kleine Sterne ausgestanzt und zwischen den Motiven veteilt.

 

I first created some envelopes from white cardstock, using the Postage Collage Mini Seals die set. From this set are also the letters and seals. The seals I colored with Copics and glued a little red star confetti into the centers. 

The envelopes and letters I inked lightly with the already mentioned Distress Ink colors, for the stamps and adress lines on the envelopes in the background I used the Postage Collage Adressed Envelope stencil. 

And then I brought out four of the Little Agenda stamp sets by MamaElephant: Bunny, Cat, Dog and Bear. I picked a few animals and colored them a warm grey with my Copics. Some of the small details in each image I colored red or aqua, making them go with the rest of the card.

From light aqua cardstock I die cut some streamers, from light red cardstock some small stars and scattered those around the images.

 

 Ganz unten auf der Karte habe ich quer einen Geburtstagsgruß aufgestempelt. Der ist mit Stempeln aus den Sets Henry's Build a Sentiment Bunny Puns und Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring von LawnFawn zusammengesetzt und mit Hickory Smoke auf hellgrauen Cardstdock gestempelt.

 

At the very bottom of the card I added a birthday greetings. I put the text together using stamps from Henry's Build a Sentiment Bunny Puns and Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring by LawnFawn and stamped them with Hickory Smoke onto light grey cardstock.

 

 Natürlich kam beim Zusammensetzen der Motive wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz und auch den Textstreifen habe ich damit hinterlegt. Dann habe ich den alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Of course I used foam tape to put the scene together and also backed the text strip with it. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

LawnFawnatics Challenge #196

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte für die LawnFawnatics Challenge #196. Das Thema ist "inspired by..." - man soll ich eine Karte suchen, die jemand anderes mit LawnFawn-Produkten gemacht hat und sich davon inspirieren lassen. Ich war ein wenig überfordert damit mich für eine Karte zu entscheiden. Also habe ich kurzerhand "LawnFawn stamping card" in die Suchmaschine eingegeben und eine der ersten Karten war diese Karte von Kara, die mich sofort zum Nachwerkeln animiert hat:

Today I am sharing with you my card for the LawnFawnatics challenge #196. The theme is "inspired by..." - pick a card someone else made and get inspired by it. I was a bit overwhelmed with which card to pick. So I simply typed "LawnFawn stamping card" into G..gle and one of the first cards, that popped up, is this card by Kara, that immediately inspired me to make my own version of it:

 

 

Ist die Karte nicht super? Wie Ihr schon sehen konntet, ist auf meiner Variante einiges mehr los, aber gerade das Schlichte auf Kara's Karte hatte ich inspiriert, denn dadurch wirkt die Höhle, in der der Anglerfisch sitzt.

 

Isn't this an amazing card? As you can see there's a lot more going on on my card, but it was the clean look of Kara's card that inspired me, because that makes the cave with the fish the focus.

 

 Meine Karte besteht aus einigen Lagen, in die ich jeweils die Höhlen mit den Stitched Dens Stanzen eingestanzt habe. Drumherum habe ich dann die Unterwasserszene gestaltet.

 

My card is made from several layers, into which I die cut the caves using the Stitched Dens dies. Around them I created my underwater scene.

 

 

Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks ohne Ausstanzung, das bildet die Rückwand meiner Höhle. Die einzelnen Höhlen habe ich mit Distress Inks gewischt: Black Soot, Villainous Potion, Prize Ribbon und hinter dem Licht des Anglerfischs ein wenig Salvaged Patina. 

Außerdem habe ich die größere der Stitched Dens ein weiteres Mal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit der Schere mit ein wenig Abstand ausgeschnitten, um einen Fels oder ähnliches, in dem sich die Höhle befindet, zu gestalten. Den habe ich mit Pumice Stone, Frayed Burlap und Walnut Stain gewischt. Auf alle Teile habe ich dann ein wenig Wasser aufgespritzt.

Der Anglerfisch ist aus dem Stempelset Anglerfish Flip-Flop und - wie alle Motive auf der Karte - mit Copics coloriert. Und auf den hellen Fleck hinter dem Licht und das Licht selbst habe ich noch ein wenig der nachtleuchtenden Paste von LawnFawn aufgetragen. So leuchtet das Licht des Fischs zumindest im Dunkeln wirklich. Auf ein Foto habe ich das leider nicht bekommen.

 

In the background there's a piece of white cardstock without a cut out, this is the back of my cave. I inked the individual cave pieces with Distress Inks: Black Soot, Villainous Potion, Prize Ribbon and a bit of Salvaged Patina behind the fish's light. 

I also die cut the larger of the Stitched Dens again from white cardstock and then cut around it with my scissors to create some kind of rock, in which my cave can be. I inked that with Pumice Stone, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain. Then I added some fine splatters of water onto all the pieces.

The anglerfish is from Anglerfish Flip-Flop and - like all the images on this card - colored with Copics. Onto the light area behind the fish's light and the light itself I put a bit of the glow-in-the-dark paste by LawnFawn. Now the fish's light glows really, at least in the dark. I really wasn't able  to catch that on camera, though.

 

 Den Bereich hinter der Höhle habe ich mit Distress Ink Prize Ribbon, Mermaid Lagoon und Salvaged Patina gewischt. 

Neben der Höhle wachsen einige Wasserpflanzen in die Höhe. Die sind mit dem Bayou Backdrop gemacht, den ich einfach auf den Kopf gestellt habe. 

Auf dem Wasser habe ich einige größere Wassertropfen verteilt und später den aufgehellten Bereich mit einem Polychromo umrahmt. Auf die so entstandenen Blubberblasen habe ich dann noch Glossy Accents aufgetragen.

Außerdem habe ich hier einige Fischschwärme aus den Sets Mermaid for You und Mermaid for You Flip-Flop mit Mermaid Lagoon aufgestempelt und dann mit ein wenig mit Wasser verdünntem Mermaid Lagoon gefüllt. 

Auch meinen Text habe ich hier im oberen Bereich der Karte aufgeklebt. Er ist ebenfalls aus dem Set Anglerfish Flip-Flop und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

 I inked the area behind the cave with Distress Ink Prize Ribbon, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina.

Behind the cave there are some plants growing. I made those using the Bayou Backdrop, simply turning it upside down.

I added some larger droplets of water onto the inked background and later traced the lighter splots with a Polychromo. This created some bubbles, that I also covered with Glossy Accents.

I also stamped some school of fish from Mermaid for You and Mermaid for You Flip-Flop with Mermaid Lagoon ink onto the background and then filled the fish with a bit of Mermaid Lagoon, mixed with some water.

In this upper half of the card I also added my text. It's again from Anglerfish Flip-Flop and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Hinter und vor der Höhle habe ich jeweils einen Sandboden gestaltet. Der ist aus Graspapier gestanzt, das bereits fast die perfekte Farbe und außerdem kleine Flecken hat. Ich habe nur jeweils die unteren Bereiche mit etwas Scorched Timber gewischt.

Und dann kamen jede Menge Meeresmotive zum Einsatz. Links und rechts von der Höhle befindet sich jeweils ein großer Stein aus Mermaid for You, die Unterwasserpflanzen sind aus You Are Sublime, außerdem habe ich die eher pieksig aussehenden Pflanzen aus Critters in the Desert mit eingebaut. Die Fische sind aus You Are Sublime, die Seepferdchen am oberen Rand der Höhle wieder aus Mermaid for You. Und ganz unten habe ich jeweils noch Muscheln aus How You Bean Seashell Add-On an die Ecke geklebt.

 

Behind and in front of the cave I created a sandy ground. I cut that from grass paper, that nearly has the perfect color already and also little spots. I just inked the bottom areas of my cardstock pieces with a bit of Scorched Timber.

And then I brought in all kinds of ocean related images. To the left and right of the cave there's a large rock from Mermaid for You, the underwater plants are from You Are Sublime. I also added the spiky looking plants from Critters in the Desert. The fish are from  You Are Sublime, the seahorses, that are swimming above the opening of the cave, are again from Mermaid for You. And onto the bottom corners I added some seashells from How You Bean Seashell Add-On.

 

 Zwischen den einzelnen Lagen meiner Karte befindet sich jeweils dickes 3D Tape, so bekommt die Höhle eine tolle Tiefe. Einige der Motive und auch den Text habe ich jeweils mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Auf die Fische und Seepferdchen habe ich dann noch Stickles für schön schillernde Fischschuppen aufgetragen, auch auf die kleinen Fische in den Fischschwärmen im Hintergrund.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put thick foam tape between the different layers of my card, this ways the cave looks wonderfully deep. Behind some of the stamped images and also the text I put thin foam tape.

I added Stickles onto the fish and seahorses, also onto the small fish in the school in the background, to give them some nicely glittering scales. 

As the last step I adhered my card panel to a white note card.

 

Geburtstagskarte mit Partytieren

Vor kurzem konnte ich in einem Flohmarkt das Stempelset Party Time von Impronte d'Autore ergattern - auch so ein Set, um das ich schon länger rumgeschlichen war. Bevor es in den Schrank wandern durfte, musste es eingeweiht werden.  Und so ist diese Karte entstanden.

 In a destash group I bought the Party Time stamp set by Impronte d'Autore  - another set I had been eyeing with for quite some time. Before I put it into my storage I had to use it. And that's how this card came to life.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück hellgrauen Designpapier mit winzigen kleinen Sternchen. Auf das habe ich mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und einem Stencil von MFT einige Strahlen aufgewischt. Da der Hintergrund ja schon recht unruhig ist, habe ich auf Splatters hier mal verzichtet.

 

The background is made from light grey paper with tiny little stars printed on. I used Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and a stencil by MFT to add some rays to it. And since the paper is already pretty busy I skipped the splatters for once.

 

 Maus und Frosch sind aus besagtem Stempelset, aber mir fehlte ein kleines Motiv. Da durfte dann die Schnecke von Purple Onion mit auf die Karte. Ich habe ihr den Luftballon aus dem Party Time Set, den eigentlich ein Hase hält, in den Mund gegeben. Ich habe alle Motive per Masking zusammengestempelt, anschließend mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Ich habe zwar die passenden Outline-Stanzen, bei den zusammengesetzten Motiven konnte ich die aber natürlich nicht verwenden.

Die Geschenke im Hintergrund sind mit der Geschenke-Stanze von Creative Depot gemacht. Ich habe jeweils nur Teile des Geschenkestapels sowie einmal eines der einzelnen Geschenke benutzt. Die Geschenke habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert.

Unter die Motive habe ich dann schwarze Ovale, gemacht mit einer der Oval Shadows von MFT, gesetzt. 

Als ich die Szene dann so betrachtet habe, sah es irgendwie so aus, als würde der Frosch aus lauter Übermut und voller Begeisterung gleich mit dem Fuß unter lautem Hurra auf die Schnecke treten... Das lag definitiv an der Art, wie ich die Motive zusammengesetzt hatte. Aber das einmal so gesehen, konnte ich es nicht mehr übersehen. Also habe ich um den Frosch Konfetti und Luftschlangen, die ich mit der Happy Headlines Stanze von Concord and 9th gemacht habe, aufgeklebt, so als würde er sie werfen. Ich finde, das löst das Problem größtenteils... ;)

 

Mouse and frog are from said stamp set, but I needed a small image. That's where the little snail by Purple Onion came into play. I gave her the balloon from Party Time, that originally is held by a bunny. I stamped the images together using masking tape, then colored them with Copics and cut them out with my scissors. I have the matching outline dies, but after masking them of course I wasn't able to use them anymore.

The presents in the background are made with the Geschenke die by Creative Depot. I used parts of the stack of presents and also one of the individual presents from the set. I cut them all from white cardstock and colored them with Copics again.ö

I put black ovals, made with one of the Oval Shadows by MFT, under the images.

And when I looked at the scene it looked like the little frog was so excited and high spirited, that  he's about to happily step on that snail... I know, it's because of the way how I stamped the images together. But once I had seen/thought that, I wasn't able to unsee it. So I let the frog throw some confetti, that I die cut using a die from Happy Headlines by Concord and 9th. I think, that solves the problem,   partly... ;) 

Für den Text habe ich dann in meinem Vorrat ein Designpapier von MFT gefunden, das mit seinen roten und helltürkisen Streifen fast wie die colorierten Partyhüte der Tierchen aussieht. Ich habe die Buchstaben aus dreimal aus schwarzem Cardstock und einmal aus dem Designpapier gestanzt und die schwarzen Buchstaben leicht versetzt als Schattenlage verwendet. 

Das kleine happy davor ist aus dem Itty Bitty Birthday Set von MFT und direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

 

For the text I found some patterned paper by MFT in my stash, that looks kind of like the colored party hats of the critters. I die cut the letters three times from black cardstock and once from the patterned paper and used the black ones as a shadow layer.

The small happy is a stamp from Itty Bitty Birthday by MFT and stamped directly onto the background.

 

 Ich habe die Geschenke direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, die Partytiere sind mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. 

Oben um die Motive habe ich noch zwei weitere Texte, wieder aus Itty Bitty Birthday, aufgestempelt und sie dabei an die Rundungen der Motive angepasst. Außerdem habe ich neben die Maus mit der Tröte einige Musiknoten aus Party Time aufgestempelt.

Zum Schluss habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen Rahmen aufgemalt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the presents directly onto the background, the party animals I backed with thin foam tape.

I stamped two more texts, again from Itty Bitty Birthday, next to the images, bending them to match the shape of the images. I also stamped some music notes from Party Time next to the mouse with the blowout.

With a black fineliner I drew a frame around  the scene, then attached the card panel to a white note card.

Anfang April gab es von LawnFawn einen Mini-Sonderstempel und ich habe mich mit einigen anderen zusammengetan, damit die Versandkosten und Co nicht gar so weh tun. Heute zeige ich Euch die erste Karte, die ich mit der kleinen Rasenmäher-Maus gemacht habe.

Beginning of april LawnFawn had a little special stamp set and me and a few others ordered them together so split up shipping and tax costs. Today I am sharing with you the first card I made with the little mower mouse.

 

Für die Karte muss ich ein wenig ausholen. Ich hatte vor Jahren einige kleine Blaubeer-Büsche im Garten gepflanzt. Nicht in einem Beet oder so, sondern in der Wiese - und jedes Mal beim Rasenmähen hat mein Mann es geschafft, sie nierzumähen. Egal, was ich gemacht habe - großräumig schon mal drumrum mähen etc. - er hat es jedes Mal trotzdem geschafft. Irgendwann habe ich neue gekauft - die alten waren wirklich nicht mehr zu retten - und habe sie woanders gepflanzt, und von denen haben die meisten es bisher geschafft, nicht überfahren zu werden.... ;) Aber diese Geschichte hat die Szene auf meiner Karte inspiriert. 

Ich habe hier hellblauen Cardstock für den Himmel benutzt und mit Distress Ink Broken China gewischt. Der Rasen besteht aus grünem Cardstock, den ich mit Mowed Lawn gewischt habe. Anschließend habe ich etwas mit Wasser verdünntes Rustic Wilderness aufgespritzt, auf den Himmel habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe gespritzt.

Über alles kam dann der Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait, den ich aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt habe.

 

For this card I have to tell you a little story. A few years ago I had planted some small blueberry bushes. Not in a bed or something, just in the grass - and everytime we cut the lawn my husband managed to run over them. No matter, what I tried - even mowing around them in a wide circle - nothing worked, he still cut them. One day I just went an bought new ones - the old ones really weren't there anymore - and planted them in a different area. Most of them are still alive... ;) This is the story that inspired the scene on today's card. 

I used a piece of light blue cardstock for the sky and inked it with Distress Ink Broken China. The lawn is made from a piece of green cardstock that I shaded with Mowed Lawn. Then I splattered some Rustic Wilderness, mixed with a bit of water, onto it. Onto the sky I splattered some white acrylic paint.

On top of everything I placed the Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait, that I have cut from brown cardstock.

 

 Das Laub des Baums habe ich mit Stanzen aus dem Set Meadow Backdrop Portrait gemacht. Ich habe sie aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn und Rustic Wilderness gewischt und ebenfalls Rustic Wilderness aufgespritzt. Die Teile habe ich dann vor und hinter den oberen Teil des Baums geklebt.

Am Himmel war dann auch Platz für meinen Text. Dafür habe ich Stempel aus den Sets I Love you Mower und S'More the Merrier kombiniert und sie weiß auf hellblauen Cardstock embosst. 

Außerdem habe ich dann noch drei kleine Schmetterlinge aus den Sets I Heart Pandas und I Heart Pandas Add-On auf den Himmel geklebt. 

The leaves of the tree I made with dies from Meadow Backdrop Portrait. I cut them from green cardstock, shaded them with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness and again splattered some Rustic Wilderness on top. Then I adhered the pieces on top and behind the top of the tree.

Onto the sky I also placed my saying. Im combined stamps from I Love you Mower  and S'More the Merrier and white heat embossed them onto light blue cardstock.

I also added three little butterflies from I Heart Pandas and I Heart Pandas Add-On to the sky.

 

 Zwischen Himmel und Gras habe ich den Holzzaun aus dem neuen Set Simply Celebrate Hangouts aufgestellt. Hinter dem haben sich die Mäusekinder versammelt und haben bereits Wetten abgeschlossen, ob der Blaubeer-Busch in der Wiese die Mähaktion überleben wird... Die kleinen Mäuse hinter dem Zaun sind aus dem Set Simply Celebrate Critters. 

Im Hintergrund sieht man Frau Maus fleißig das bereits gemähte Gras zusammen rechen und in die Schubkarre laden. So ganz wahrheitsgetreu ist die Arbeitsaufteilung hier nicht - mein Mann fährt normalerweise auf dem Aufsitzmäher und ich schiebe den "normalen" Mäher. Das Gras lassen wir einfach liegen... Die Maus mit dem Rechen, der kleine Grashaufen - eigentlich ja Erde - und die Schubkarre sind aus dem Set Veggie Happy. Bei dem großen Grashaufen links bin ich fremdgegangen und habe Teil eines Heuhaufens aus dem Set The Whole Herd von MFT benutzt. 

Und vorne ist Herr Maus  mit dem Rasenmäher zu Gange. Man sieht die abgeschnittenen Grashalme nur so rumfliegen. Und er fährt doch recht zielstrebig auf den armen Blaubeer-Busch im Gras zu... Maus, Grasstücke und Rasenmäher sind aus dem Set I Love you Mower. Aus dem sind übrigens auch die Grasstücke, die ich vor dem Zaun sowie im Vordergrund der Karte aufgeklebt habe. Für den Busch im Gras habe ich Stiele aus dem Set Rooting for You mit brauner Tinte direkt auf den grünen Cardstock gestempelt und dann mit Copics einige grüne Punkte als Blätter aufgetupft.

Alle Motive auf der Karte sind mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 

Between the sky and the grass I put up the wooden fence from the new Simply Celebrate Hangouts set. All the mouse kids have  gathered behind the fence, taking bets if the blueberry bush will survive this mowing day... The little mice behind the fence are from Simply Celebrate Critters.

In the background Miss Mouse is raking and piling up the already cut grass, then loading it into the wheelbarrow. Well, this isn't how my husband and I do the mowing - usually he's using the riding mower while I used the "normal" one. The cut off grass we simply leave laying on the ground... The mouse with the rake, the little pile of grass - originally that's soil - and the wheelbarrow are from Veggie Happy. For the large pile of grass on the left I had to use part of a haystack from The Whole Herd by MFT.

And in the front Mister Mouse is mowing. The cut off grass is flying everywhere. And he's moving dangerously in the direction of that little blueberry bush in the meadow...

Mouse, grass pieces and mower are from I Love You Mower. From this set is also the grass that I put in front of the fence and also in the foreground of the scene. For the blueberry bush I stamped some twigs from Rooting For You with brown ink directly onto the green cardstock, then added dots with a green Copic marker as leaves.

All the images are colored with Copics and cut out with my scissors.

 

 Dem Baumstamm habe ich mit Copics etwas Struktur gegeben, außerdem habe ich einen der Stitched Rectangel Frames aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt und als Rahmen um die Szene geklebt.

Beim Zusammensetzen kam natürlich wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz. Die Flügel der Schmetterlinge habe ich mit Stickles beglittert.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I added some details to the tree trunk and cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from brown cardstock as a frame around my scene.

Of course I used foam tape to put the scene together. The butterflies' wings I glittered with Stickles.

Then I adhered the scene to a white note card.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Für die heutige Karte war nicht etwa das Motiv der Ideengeber - vielmehr war etwas anderes Grund, den Stempel zu kaufen. Und dafür muss ich etwas ausholen:

Meine Mädels haben vor einigen Jahren zusammen auf dem Jahrmarkt ein Lama-Kuscheltier in Regenbogenfarben gewonnen. Da es allen zusammen gehörte und sie längst Teenager waren, saß das Lama dann im ersten Stock im Flur auf einem Schränkchen, so konnte es jeder sehen. Dann kam mein Enkel zur Welt. Als er etwa 4 Monate alt war, hat er das Lama gesehen. Er hat sich danach ausgestreckt und war ihm sofort verfallen - absolut. Wir hatten das Lama - warum auch immer - Drama-Lama getauft. Und der Name ist geblieben. Ebenso die Liebe meines Enkels zu ihm. Inzwischen ist er 4,5 Jahre alt, aber das Drama-Lama ist immer noch eines seiner liebsten Spielzeuge, wenn er bei uns ist. Naja, vielleicht bin ich daran nicht ganz unschuldig, denn ich lasse es immer jede Menge Quatsch machen.... Nun ja, als ich dann das Llamacorn Stempelset von WhimsyStamps gesehen habe, wusste ich, dass ich das haben muss. Und auch wenn die heutige Karte eher weniger kindgerecht ist, ich mache meinem Enkel damit garantiert eine Karte!

For today's card it was not the image, that gave  me the idea, I had a different reason to buy this stamp. And that's what I have to do a bit of storytime to explain:

Many years ago my girls won a rainbow colored llama stuffed animal on a fair. It belonged to all of them and they were all teenagers by then, so we sat it in a family area, where everyone could see it. Then my grandson was born. When he was about four months old, he saw the llama for the first time. He grabbed it and fell in love with it, deeply. We had named the llama "drama llama" - I don't even remember anymore why, but the name stuck. So did the my grandson's love for it. He's 4,5 years old now, but whenever he is over, this llama is one of his favorite toys. Well, I might be blamed for that, at least partly, because I always let the llama all kind of silly things...

When I saw the Llamacorn stamp set by WhimsyStamps I knew I had to have it. And even if today's card is not one for kids, I for sure will make my grandson a card with it!

And since I am talking about that llama so much, here's a picture of it:

 

 Schaut es - von den Flügeln und dem Horn mal abgesehen - nicht genau aus, wie der Stempel? Das Lama wollte übrigens unbedingt die Karte präsentieren, und weil ich kein Drama riskieren wollte, habe ich ihm seinen Willen gelassen... ;)

 

Doesn't this stuffed animal just look like the stamp (except for the wings and horn?). By the way, the llama wanted to show the card and since I didn't want to risk it throwing a fit I let it do that... ;)

 

So, jetzt aber mal zur Karte.

Ich habe eine Karte im Slimline-Format gemacht. Das hat sich so ergeben, denn der Hintergrund ist mit der Slimline Clouds Stanze von WhimsyStamps gemacht. Die habe ich einmal aus weißem und einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und beim schwarzen Stanzteile die Wolken aus dem Rahmen herausgeschnitten.

Die Unterseiten der Wolken des weißen Rahmens habe ich mit Distress Inks Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed  Lemonade, Cracked Pistacchio, Tumbled Glass und Shaded Lilac in Regenbogenfarben eingefärbt.  Dann habe ich die schwarzen Wolken leicht versetzt dahinter und den schwarzen Rahmen obenauf geklebt.

Auf ein weiteres Stück weißen Cardstocks habe ich dann Sterne aus dem Llamacorn Stempelset weiß aufembosst und zwar so, dass sie später zwichen den Wolken zu sehen sind. Die habe ich dann erst mit den selben Distress Inks eingefärbt und anschließend die Bereiche drumherum mit einem dunkelblauen Copic coloriert. Außerdem habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Nun, als ich den Sternenhimmel hinter die Wolken gesetzt habe, war mir das alles zu kräftig und dadurch auch unruhig. Also habe ich dazwischen noch eine Lage Vellum gsetzt, die den Hintergrund abmildert.

 

But now, let's talk about the card.

I made a slimline sized card. That just happened because I used the Slimline Cloud die by WhimsyStamps for the background. I die cut it once from white and once from black carsdtock, then cut the clouds out of the black frame.

I inked the bottoms of the clouds in the white frame in rainbow colors with Distress Ink Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistacchio, Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac.  Then I glued the cut out black clouds a bit offset behind the white ones, the black frame I glued on top of the white frame.

I white heat embossed  stars from the Llamacorn stamp set onto another piece of white cardstock, placing them so they will be visible between the clouds later. Then I used the same Distress colors to ink the stars and then filled the area between them with a dark blue Copic marker. I also added splatters of white acrylic paint.

Well, when I put the background behind the clouds, the sky was way too colorful and busy. So I put a layer of vellum between them to tone the background down.

 

 Das Lama habe ich mit Copics coloriert und mich dabei - so gut es ging - am Drama-Lama orientiert. Beim Colorieren habe ich teilweise in kleinen Punkten gearbeitet, so dass das Lama schön flauschig aussieht. Außerdem brauchte es natürlich große braune Augen. 

Anschließend habe ich es per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 

I colored the llamacorn with Copics and used our Drama Llama as inspiration. When coloring the fur I partly worked in little dots to make the llama appear soft and fluffy. And of course it needed some big brown eyes.

Then I cut the image out with my scissors.

 

 Über dem Motiv habe ich den Hauptteil meines Textes aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich das größere der Poof!s aus dem Poof Word Die Set aus schwarzem und weißem Cardstock gestanzt, das weiße wieder mit Distress Inks schattiert - hier reichten Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade und Tumbled Glass, die übrigen Farben entstehen beim Übereinanderlegen der Farben. Das schwarz gestanzte Wort habe ich als Schattenlage benutzt.

Die übrigen Texte hier sind aus dem Set Bam! You're Old und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

Außerdem habe ich die Sterne aus dem Poof Stanzenset aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, hellblau coloriert und eine Spur vom Zauberstab des Lamas bis über das Wort gelegt.

 

Above the image I adhered the main part of my text. I die cut the larger Poof! from the Poof Word die set from both white and black cardstock. I inked the white word with Distress Inks again - just using Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass was enough, the other colors just appear when overlapping the colors. I used the black die cut as the shadow layer.

The other texts are from Bam! You're Old and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

I also die cut the stars from the Poof Word die set from white cardstock, colored them a light blue and created a trail from the wand to the top right corner of the card with them.

 

 Tja, und irgendwie  scheint das Lama doch ein klein wenig ein schlechtes Gewissen wegen seines Zaubers zu haben - und so entschuldigt es sich ganz unten auf der Karte dafür. Oder will es nur sagen "tut mir echt leid für Dich, dass Du alt bist"? 

Die Texte hier sind aus dem Set Big Boo-Boo und ebenfalls weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich sie mit der Schere ausgeschnitten.

 

Well, and it looks like the llama feels a bit guilty about her spell and so it's apologizing for it at the bottom of the card. Or is "I am really sorry that you're old" what it really wants to say?
The texts here are from Big Boo-Boo and again white heat embossed onto black cardstock. Then I cut them out with my scissors.

 

 Flügel und Horn des Lamas, den Zauberstab, die Zauberspruch-Spur und die Highlights des Wortes Poof! habe ich mit Stickles beglittert. 

Den schwarzen Rahmen habe ich mit dickem, das Lama mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling in Slimline-Format geklebt.

 

I used Stickles to put glitter onto the Llama's wings and horn, the top of the wand, the spell trail and the highlights of the word Poof!.

I adhered the black frame with thick, the llama with thin foam tape.

Then I attached  the card panel to a white card base in a slimline size.

 

Plane and Simple

Der Titel des heutigen Posts ist nicht nur Teil des Textes auf meiner heutigen Karte, es beschreibt sie auch recht gut: es ist ein Flugzeug darauf und sie ist eher einfach gehalten. Und das ist die Karte, die ich eigentlich für die "things with wings" Coloring Club Challenge gemacht hatte, aber einfach nicht fotografiert bekomme. Und nein, die Karte sieht auf den Bildern immer noch nicht aus wie in Wirklichkeit, aber ich gebe auf.

 

Hello everyone!

The title of this posts is not just part of the text of today's card, it also sums it up pretty good: there's a plane on it and it's more on the simple side. This is the card I originally made for the "things with wings" Coloring Club Challenge and that I wasn't able to get a good picture of. No, the pictures still don't show the card as it is in real life, but I have given up.

Die Karte im Querformat besteht jeweils aus einer Wolkenborder oben und unten, dazwischen fliegt ein kleiner Hase in seinem Flugzeug über den blauen Himmel und streut dabei jede Menge Herzen.

 

This landscape card has a cloud border at each the bottom and the top, in between a little bunny is flying through the blue sky, leaving a heart trail behind.

 

 Hase und Flugzeug sind aus dem Set High-Flying Adventure von MFT. Ich habe es mit dem No-Line Ink Pad von InkOn3 auf Watercolor Cardstock gestempelt und anschließend mit ZIG Markern coloriert. Für die Highlights habe ich einen weißen Gelstift verwendet, mit dem ich auch die Bewegungslinien um den Propeller aufgemalt habe.

Hinter dem Flugzeug ist der Heart Trail, den ich aus jede Menge kleinen Herzen gemacht habe, die ich erst aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt und dann ebenfalls mit ZIG Markern coloriert habe. Dazwischen habe ich noch einige grau-rosa Wölkchen gesetzt. Die sind aus dem Set Plane and Simple von LawnFawn. Die Wolken habe ich außerdem mit einem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert.

 

Bunny and plane are from High-Flying Adventure by MFT.  I stamped it onto Watercolor Cardstock with the No-Line ink pad by InkOn3 and colored it in with ZIG markers. For the highlights I used a white gel pen and also drew some motion lines around the propeller with it.

Behind the plane I added a heart trail, that I made from lots of little hearts. I first die cut them from watercolor cardstock, then colored them with my ZIGs, too. Between the hearts I added some grey and pink clouds from Plane and Simple by LawnFawn. I also glittered them with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen.

 

 Damit die Karte dann doch nicht ganz so simple ist, habe ich die Kartenfront aus Acetate gemacht. Ich habe sie an eine Lasche am weißen Cardstock, der die Rückseite der Karte bildet, angeklebt und die Klebestelle dann mit einer der Wolkenbordüren überdeckt. Auch an die untere Kante habe ich Wolken geklebt.

Auf die Folie zwischen die Wolken habe ich dann meine Motive gesetzt. Stellt man die Karte auf, dann scheint das Flugzeug tatsächlich in der Luft zu fliegen.

 

To make this card not too simple I created the card front from acetate. I adhered it to a flap, that I added to the white cardstock that makes the back of the card, then covered the glue with a cloud border. Then I added more clouds at the bottom of the acetate.

Onto the area between the clouds I adhered the images. When you prop the card up the plane really seems to fly in the air.

 

 Auf die untere Wolkenbordüre habe ich dann mit schwarzer Tinte meinen Text gestempelt. Auch der ist aus dem Set Plane and Simple von LawnFawn.

Auf die Kartenrückseite habe ich ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock geklebt, das ich mit blauen ZIG Markern und Wasser etwas streifig hellblau eingefärbt habe. Anschließend habe ich blaue Metallic Watercolor und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

Onto the bottom clouds I stamped my text with black ink. It's again from Plane and Simple by LawnFawn. 

Onto the inside of the card I adhered a piece of watercolor, that I had colored a kind of streaky blue using ZIG markers and water. Then I splattered blue metallic watercolor and white acrylic paint onto it.
