Ein versteckter Reisegutschein

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Im Winter hatte meinem Mom meinem Bruder und mir gegenüber erwähnt, dass sie zu ihrem 77. Geburtstag gerne mit uns nach Hamburg reisen würde. Nun war ihr Geburtstag, und wir hatten uns das natürlich gemerkt. In dieser Karte war der Reisegutschein versteckt.

 

Hello everyone!

In winter my mom mentioned that she wanted a trip to Hamburg with me and my brother as a gift for her 77th birthday. She celebrated her birthday a little ago and of course we remembered her request. In this card I've hidden the "travel ticket".

 

Falls Ihr meinen Blog regelmäßig/öfter lest, dann kommt Euch das Motiv auf der Karte vielleicht bekannt vor. Kein Wunder - es stammt von der "unfotografierbaren" Karte mit Folienfront. Da ich mit der Karte irgendwie  immer noch nicht zufrieden war, habe ich kurzerhand das Motiv samt Herzen-und-Wolken-Trail abgezogen (von der Folie geht das ja ganz gut) und auf dieser Karte recycelt. 

Die Front der Karte besteht hier aus mehreren Lagen Wolken, die ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ein wenig mit hellblauer Tinte gewischt habe. Dahinter ist ein wenig Himmel mit Sonnenstrahlen zu sehen, die ich Euch später noch genauer zeige.

Auf die Wolken habe ich hellblaue Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

If  you visit my blog regularly/more often, then the image on this card might look familiar to you. No wonder - it's from the card with the acetate front that I wasn't able to take a good shot of. And since I still wasn't entirely happy with this card, I peeled off the image including the heart and clouds trail (luckily that  works pretty good with the acetate) and recycled it on today's card.

The card front is made from several layers of clouds, that I cut from white cardstock. In the background you can see some blue sky with sun rays that I will talk about a little later.

I splattered light blue metallic watercolor onto the clouds.

 

 Zum Motiv und der Coloration hatte ich ja bereits alle Details erzählt. Es ist von MFT und mit ZIGs coloriert.

Für diese Karte habe ich dann eine Sprechblase über dem Piloten angebracht. Das "Lust auf eine Spritztour" darauf ist aus dem Stempelset Spritztour von Stampcorner. 

 

I already shared all the details about the image and the coloring of it in my previous post. It's by MFT and colored with ZIGs.

For this card I added a speech bubble above the pilot and stamped a "wanna go on a trip" into it.

 

 Die vorderen Wolkenlagen sind mit dickem, das Flugzeug mit dünnem 3D Tape auf die Kartenfront geklebt. Und eigentlich bilden nur die unteren 3Lagen die Katenfront, denn das hier ist eine Trifold Card. Die beiden seitlichen Teile habe ich unterschiedlich gekürzt und jeweils mit einer Wolkenbordüren-Stanze in Form gebracht. Der blaue Himmel mit den Sonnenstrahlen ist die eigentliche Innenseite der Karte.

 

The two cloud layers at the bottom are adered with thick, the airplane with thin foam tape. And acutally only the bottom three rows of clouds are on the card front. I made a trifold card here. The two sides I kept differently tall and used a cloud border die to cut the top edge. The blue sky with the sun rays is the inside of the card.

 

 Klappt man die erste Lage, auf der sich das Flugzeug befindet, auf, so zeigt sich einem dieses Bild.

Ich habe hier einige Sonnenstrahlen - Überbleibsel von der Innenseite der Karte - aufgeklebt und als Hintergrund für das Motiv auf dieser Seite verwendet. Die obere Kante der Sonnenstrahlen sieht ein wenig eigenwillig aus, ich wollte aber sichergehen, dass sie nicht hinter den Wolken der ersten Kartenlage hervorschauen.

Die Strahlen sind mit einer Slimline-Stanze von Action aus sehr hell gelbfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade und ein wenig Mustard Seed gewischt.

 

When you open up the first layer with the plane this is what you see.

I adhered some sun rays - left over pieces from the inside of the card - and used those as the backdrop for my image. The top edge of those rays looks a bit strange but I wanted to make sure that they are not visible behind the clouds of the top layer.

I used a Slimline die by Action for those rays and cut them from very light yellow cardstock, then inked them with a bit of Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed.

 

  Der kleine Hamster, der da gerade noch über den Kofferberg schauen kann, ist aus dem Deliver Summer Vibes Set von MamaElephant. Damit er zum Motiv auf der Vorderseite passt, habe ich ihn ebenfalls mit dem Jellyfish Ink Stempelkissen von LawnFawn auf Watercolor Cardstock gestempelt und mit ZIG Markern coloriert. Dann habe ich ihn per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Auch über dem Hamster habe ich eine Sprechblase angebracht und diesmal ein "Koffer schon gepackt", ebenfalls aus dem Set Spritztour, aufgestempelt.

Auf dieser Seite der Karte habe ich als Deko einige türkisfarbene Pailetten aufgeklebt.

 

The little hamster, that barely manages to look about the pile of suitcases, is from Deliver Summer Vibes by MamaElephant. To make him to with the image on the front I also stamped it onto watercolor cardstock with Jellyfish Ink by LawnFawn and colored it with ZIG markers. Then I cut it out by hand.

I added another speechbubble above the hamster's head and this time stamped "did you pack your suitcase already?" onto it.

I added some turquoise colored sequins as decoration to this page.

 

 Öffnet man auch das zweite Seitenteil befindet sich dieses Motiv in der Mitte der Karte - und löst das Geheimnis um die auf eine Reise bezogenen Seiten zuvor.

Ich habe den oberen Teil der Karte mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers gewischt und dann die wie schon zuvor beschrieben hergestellten Strahlen aufgeklebt.

Darauf befindet sich dann eine Skyline von Hamburg, die ich mit dem PC ausgedruckt und per Hand ausgeschnitten habe.

 

When you open also the second side flap than this is the image you see in the center of the card - and it solves the secret about the travel related previous pages.

I inked the top of this card element with Disress Ink Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers and then adhered the rays, that I created as mentioned above.

I printed the skyline of Hamburg, cut it out with my scissors and adhered it across the sky.

 

Den unteren Teil der Kartenmitte habe ich mit schwarzem Cardstock beklebt. 

Darauf habe ich dann das Wort Hamburg aufgeklebt. Die Buchstaben habe ich aus hellgelbem Cardstock mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT ausgestanzt und dann wieder mit Squeezed Lemonade und Mustard Seed gewischt.

Quer ober dem Wort Hamburg befindet sich ein ausgestanztes "Gutschein". Das habe ich mit einer Stanze von SU aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics helltürkis, passend zum Himmel, schattiert. 

Als Deko habe ich auch hier einige türkisfarbene Pailetten aufgeklebt.

 The bottom of the card center I covered with black cardstock.

On top I wrote the word Hamburg. I die cut the letters from light yellow cardstock using the Impact Alphabet die set by MFT, then again inked them with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed.

Across the word Hamburg I adhered a die cut "voucher". I cut it from white cardstock and used my Copics to shade it a light aqua, matching the colors of the sky.

As decoration I added some turquoise sequins again.

 

 Auf der Rückseite der linken Klappe habe ich dann noch eine "Notiz" mit einigen Details zum Gutschein aufgeklebt. Den Text habe ich am PC geschrieben, da ich mir sicher bin, dass weder meine Mom noch mein Bruder mit vollem Namen auf meinem Blog erscheinen möchten, habe ich die Namen unkenntlich gemacht.

Den weißen Cardstock, den ich am PC bedruckt habe, habe ich an der oberen Kante mit einer Notebook Edge Stanze von MFT zugeschnitten und außerdem schwarz hinterlegt.

In die oberen beiden Ecken habe ich zwei Pins aus einem Stanzenset von Karen Burniston gesteckt und sie dabei in zwei kleine Schlitze, die ich in den weißen Cardstock geschnitten habe, gesteckt.

Und damit das Papier auch offiziell aussieht, habe ich unten rechts noch ein Sigel aufgeklebt. Es ist eines der Siegel aus dem Postage Collage Mini Seals Stanzenset von WaffleFlower und aus goldenem Mirror-Cardstock gemacht. In die Mitte habe ich ein kleines Herz geklebt.

 

Onto the backside of the left flap I added a "note" with some travel details. I created the text on my computer and since I'm sure neither my mom nor my brother want to be mentioned here on my blog with their full names I made them unreadable.

I used the Notebook Edge die by MFT to cut the top edge of the white cadstock, that I printe the text on, then matted it black.

I stuck two pins, made with a die set by Karen Burniston, into the top corners of the paper, tucking them into two tiny slits I had cut into the cardstock.

And to make the paper look official I added a seal to it. It's one of the seals from Postage Collage Mini Seals die set by WaffleFlower, cut from gold mirror cardstock. I glued a little heart into the center.

 

 Die untere Hälfte des Reisepapiers habe ich ganz leicht mit Squeezed Lemonade gewischt. Und hier könnt Ihr auch den Glanz des Siegels gut sehen.

 

I lightly inked the bottom of the paper with the travel details with Squeezed Lemonade. And here you can also see the shine of the seal.

 

A Year full of Happiness

Letzte Woche hat Jessica auf dem YouTube Channel von LawnFawn eine Vier-Jahreszeiten-Karte mit dem Backyard Bird Feeder Set gezeigt. Und die fand ich so klasse, dass ich meine eigene Version davon gemacht habe - mit Eichhörnchen statt Vögeln.

Last week Jessica shared a four season card with the Backyard Bird Feeder set over on LawnFawn's YouTube channel. I liked it so much that I wanted to create my own version of it - with squirrels instead of birds.

 

Ich habe den Foursquare Backdrop zweimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und die vier Felder mit Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean und Weathered Wood gewischt. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt, feine Spritzer, nur auf dem mit Weathered Wood gewischten Feld habe ich dicke Spritzer aufgetragen um dicke Schneeflocken zu gestalten.

Außerdem habe ich den Tree Branches Backdrop Portrait aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und in mehrere Teile geschnitten, um jeweils einen Ast im unteren Bereich jeden Fensters zu haben. Dafür habe ich noch einen Ast zusätzlich gestanzt.

 

I die cut the Foursquare Backdrop twice from white cardstock and inked the four inner window pieces with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Weathered Wood. Then I added fine splatters of white acrylic paint, only on the piece inked with Weathered Wood I went really heavy on the splatters to make them look like snowflakes.

I also die cut the Tree Banches Backdrop Portrait from white cardsdtock and cut it into several pieces so I can place a branch at the bottom of each window. I also die cut one additional larger branch.

 

 In den oberen beiden Fenstern sind Frühling und Sommer dargestellt. 

Im Frühlings-Fenster habe ich die Blätter an den Ästen in hellem Grün coloriert und kleine Blüten an die Äste geklebt. Die sind mit Stanzen aus dem Set Stitched Strawberry Frame und Outside In Stitched Strawberry gemacht. Eine der Blümchen hat sich das Eichhörnchen hinter das Ohr geklemmt.

Das Eichhörnchen begrüßt eines der kleinen Vögelchen aus dem Set It's a Bird, das gerade aus dem Süden zurückgekommen ist. Und oben am Himmel strahlt die Sonne. Die ist das Reststück der Sonne, die ich im Sommerfenster aufgeklebt habe. 

Im Sommerfenster sind die Blätter an den Zweigen viel saftiger - und das Eichhörnchen freut sich über die Wärme und das tolle Wetter. Und natürlich den Schmetterling aus Kanga-Rrific, der vor seiner Nase im Wind tanzt. Die Sonne ist übrigens aus dem Stanzenset Foursquare Backdrop Portrait. 

Alle Stanzteile und Motive auf der Karte sind mit Copics coloriert.

 

In the two windows at the top you can see spring and summer.

In the spring window I colored the leaves on the branches a light green and glued tiny flowers onto the branch. I made those using dies from Stitched Strawberry Frame and Outside In Stitched Strawberry. The squirrel tucked one of the flowers behind his ear.

The squirrel is greeting a bird from It's a Bird, that just came back from winter in the south.  And in the sky the sun is shining. I used the left over piece from the summer window here.

In the summer window the leaves on the branches are a juicy dark green - and the squirrel is happily enjoying the warm and sunny weather - and of course the butterfly from Kanga-Rrific, that's fluttering around directly in front of its face. The sun is made using a die from Foursquare Backdrop Portrait. 

I used Copics to color all the images and die cuts on this card.

 

 In den unteren beiden Fenstern der Karte sieht man dann natürlich Herbst und Winter.

Im Herbstfenster liegt ein Eichörnchen auf dem Ast und hält ein kleines Schläfchen, die gerade gesammelten Eicheln fest an sich gedrückt. Weil es schon kälter wird, trägt  es eine Wollmütze aus Holiday Party Animal.

Die Blätter an den Ästen sind schon gelb und orange verfärbt und der Wind zupft einige davon vom Baum und wirbelt sie durch die Luft. Die kleine Blätter sind mit Stanzen aus dem Tropical Vines Border Set gemacht.

Im Fenster rechts unten ist dann Winter, aber  das macht dem Eichhörnchen gar nichts. Es hat zur Mütze auch noch einen Schal aus Let's Go Nuts angezogen und dann fröhlich einen Schneemann aus dem frisch gefallenen Schnee, der dick auf den Zweigen des Baumes liegt, gebaut. Der Schneemann ist aus dem Set Little Snow Globe Dog Set, die Schneelagen auf den Zweigen aus Winter Village. Zum Abstempeln des Schneemanns und der Schneelagen habe ich hellblaue Tinte verwendet. Die Blätter an den Zweigen habe ich in diesem Fenster weggeschnitten.

Alle Eichhörnchen auf der Karte sind aus den Sets Let's Go Nuts, Backyard Bird Feeder und Backyard Bird Feeder AddOn. 

Und im Winterfenster war dann auch genug Platz für meine Text. Der ist aus dem Set Tree Before 'n Afters und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

 In the two bottom windows of the card you can see fall and winter.

In the fall window the little squirrel is taking a nap on a branch, the just collected acorns pressed to himself. And since it's getting cold, it has put on his warm hat from Holiday Party Animal.

The leaves on the branch have already turned orange  and yellow and the wind is plucking some from the tree, blowing it around in the air. The small leaves I made using dies from the Tropical Vines Boder set. 

In the window at the bottom right winter has come, but it doesn't bother this little squirrel. In addition to the hat it's also wearing a scarf  from Let's Go Nuts and then went outside to build a snowman from the fresh fallen snow, that's laying thickly on the branches. The snowman is from Little Snow Globe Dog, the snow patches on the branches from Winter Village. I used light blue ink to the stamp the snowman and snow patches. I snipped off the leaves of the branches here.

All squirrels on the card are from Let's Go Nuts, Backyard Bird Feeder  and Backyard Bird Feeder AddOn. 

And in the winter window there was room for the text on my card. It's from Tree Before 'n Afters and white heat embossed onto  black cardstock.

 

 Natürlich habe ich 3D Tape zum Zusammenkleben der Karte benutzt. Die Zweige sind mit dünnem 3d Tape auf die einzelnen Hintergründe geklebt, dann habe ich das zweite der Foursquare Backdrop Stanzteile mit dickem 3D Tape oben aufgeklebt. Dabei habe ich die Zweigenden, die über das jeweilige Fenster herausragen, oben auf den Rahmen geklebt. Den Text habe ich mit dickem und dünnem 3d Tape hinterlgt, so dass er zusammen mit den oben aufliegenden Zweigenden die höchste Lage der Karte bildet.

Den oberen Foursquare Backdrop habe ich dann noch mit ein wenig Distress Oxide Stormy Sky gewischt, nur weiß war er mir ein wenig zu fad. Anschließend habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Of course I used foam tape to put the card together. I adhered  the branches with thin foam tape onto the individual backgrounds, then glued the second Foursquare Backdrop die cut around  it using thick foam tape. I made  sure the ends of the branches, that were longer than the windows, were laying on top of the frame. The text I backed with thin and thick foam tape  so, together with the leaves on top of the frame, it builds the top most layer of my card.

I inked the Foursquare Backdrop on top with a bit of Distress Oxide Stormy Sky, just white it looked too plain to me.  Then I glued the card panel onto a white note card.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich hatte noch ein Osterglocken-Stanzenset von Gummiapan hier, das noch nicht zum Einsatz kam. Und eigentlich ist die Zeit dafür vorbei. Aber ich wollte sie ungern bis nächstes Jahr in die Schublade packen. Also habe ich die Osterglocken einfach anders coloriert und obwohl ich sie sogar mit Hasenmotiven kombiniert habe, kommt diese Karte so gar nicht österlich daher.

I had some daffodil dies by Gummiapan here, that I hadn't used yet. Time for them has passed but I really didn't want to put them into a drawer until next spring. So I simply chnaged their look with the coloring and even combined with bunnies, this card doesn't look like easter at all to me.

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich das Negativ einer Strahlen-Hotfoil Plate verwendet, das von einer anderen Karte noch auf meinem Tisch lag und das ich zu schade zum Wegwerfen fand. Den Bereich rund um die Streifen habe ich mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers gewischt und anschließend über alles weiße Acrylfarbe gespritzt.

 

For the background I used the negative of a rays hotfoil plate that I had left over from another card and that I didn't want to throw away. I inked the area between the rays with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers and then splattered white acrylic paint onto it all.

 

 Für die Szene auf meiner Karte habe ich die schon erwähnten Osterglocken-Blumentöpfe von Gummiapan mit Hasen von MamaElephant kombiniert.

Die Blumen und -töpfe habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Copics eher wie Vergissmeinnicht coloriert.  

Die Hasen sind aus dem Set Little Line Agenda und ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich sie mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und mit einigen weiteren Blümchen ergänzt.

Hinter den gestanzten Blumentöpfen und auch davor befindet sich jeweils eine Reihe Gras, einmal aus hell- und einmal aus etwas dunkler grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Unter die Blumentöpfe mit den Hasen habe mit Copics einen Schatten gemalt.

 

For the scene on my card I used the daffodil flower pots by Gummiapan and combined them with bunnies by MamaElephant.

The flowers and flower pots I die cut from white cardstock and colored them with Copics, making them look like forget-me-nots.

The bunnies are from Little Line Agenda and also colored with Copics. Then I cut them out with my scissors and added a few more single flowers.

Behind the die cut flower pots and also in front of them I added a row of grass, once cut from light and once from slightly darker green cardstock.  Under the flower pots with the bunnies I drew a shadow with a matching Copic marker.

 

Den Text habe ich oben auf der Karte auf die golden-glitzernden Sonnenstrahlen geklebt. Er ist mit der Sonnenschein-Stanze von Create a Smile gemacht - der Text an sich aus weißem Cardstock, die Schattenlage darunter aus Vellum. Das weiße Stanzteil habe ich wieder mit Salvaged Patina und Peacock Featheres gewischt - diesmal allerdings unten dunkel und oben hell. Hinter dem Vellum versteckt sich ein weiteres Wortstanzteil, das den Text samt Schattenlage ein klein wenig vom Hintergrund hervorhebt.

Das kleine Hallo darüber habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf hellgrünen Cardstock embosst.

 

I adhered the text to the top of my card, right onto the gold glittery rays. I die cut the word "sunshine" from white cardstock and the shadow layer from vellum. Then I used Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers again to ink the die cut word, this time dark at the bottom and light at the top. Behind the vellum I put another die cut word, just to bring up the text a tiny bit.

The small hello above the die cut text is white heat embossed onto light green cardstock.

 

 Ich habe einige die Blumentöpfe, die Graslagen und die Blumentöpfe mit den Hasen mit 3D Tape hinterlegt und auch den embossten Text damit auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Als Deko habe ich einige hellrosa Herzen auf der Karte verteilt - als Deko und auch, um das Pink in den Hasenohren nochmal aufzugreifen. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put foam tape behind some of the flower pots, the grass layers and also behind the pots with the bunnies. Also the embossed text is adhered to the background with tape.

I added some light pink clay hearts - as decoration and also to pick up the pink in the bunny ears again. Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.

Von einer Karte mit Blumenwiese, die ich Euch demnächst zeige, hatte ich noch die größeren Blumen übrig. Eigentlich werfe ich solche Reste immer weg, aber hier hatte ich sofort eine Idee und so haben sie auf dieser Karte einen Platz gefunden.

From a card with a meadow, that I'll share with you soon, I had some larger flowers left over. Usually I throw these away but here I had an idea. And so those flowers found  a home on today's card.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier einfach aus einem Stück dunkelblauen Designpapiers mit Schnörkeln und einer dezenten Schrift. Das Papier passte sowohl farblich als auch thematisch zu meiner Idee.

 

The background is simply made from a piece of dark blue patterned paper with some flourishes and subtle texte printed on. It did work great colorwise and also with the theme of the idea I had in mind.

 

 In der Mitte meiner Karte befindet sich ein großes Buch. Es ist mit der Open Book Stanze von WaffleFlower gemacht - das Cover aus dunkelgrünem, die Seiten aus weißem Cardstock. Der in die Seiten gestanzte Text ist eine Extra-Stanze aus dem Set. Die Buchseiten habe ich mit Distress Ink Old Paper gewischt und dann nur außen mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt, so dass das Buch etwas Dimension bekommt. 

Unten aus dem Buch schaut ein Lesezeichen, für das ich eine Stanze aus dem Books Stanzenset von LawnFawn benutzt habe.

Quer über das Buch fliegen die übriggebliebenen Blumen, die ich mit der Kleine Blüten Stanze von Create a Smile gemacht hatte. Sie kommen aus einem Kuvert, zu dem wir gleich noch kommen. Ich habe die kleinen Blumen näher ans Kuvert, die größeren an den Rand geklebt. Als Blumenmitten habe ich kleine goldene und schwarze Herz-Konfetti aufgeklebt.

Auf der rechten Seite befindet sich auch ein kleines Siegel. Es mit dem Postage Collage Mini Seals Stanzenset gemacht, die Herzen sind aus dem Postage Collage Seals Stempelset und mit grüner Tinte aufgestempelt. 

Unter dem Siegel befindet sich ein Teil meines Textes. Beide Teile sind aus dem Set Postage Collage Seals und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich sie mit der Schere ausgeschnitten.

 

In the center of my card I placed a large book. It's made using the Open Book die by WaffleFlower - the cover from dark green, the pages from white cardstock. The text, that's cut into the pages, is an extra die from the set. I slightly inked the pages with Distress Ink Old Paper and then backed just the outer edges of the pages with thin foam tape to add some dimension to the book.

I added a bookmark to the bottom of the book, made using a die from the Books die set by LawnFawn. 

Across the book are flying all those left over flowers that I had made with the Kleine Blüten die by Create a Smile. They are coming out of an envelope, that we'll talk about soon. I glued the smaller flowers closer to the envelope, the larger ones towards the edge of the card. As flower centers I used small gold and  black heart confetti.

On the right page of the book there's a small seal. It's made using the Postage Collage Mini Seals sets, the hearts from Postage Collage Seals I stamped onto the seals with green ink.

Under the seal there's a part of my text. Both text parts are from Postage Collage Seals and white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with scissors.

 

 Unten auf die linke Seite des Buches habe ich ein Briefkuvert samt Brief, Gräsern, Stift und Briefmarken geklebt, aus dem die Blümchen herauskommen. 

Gräser, Brief und Kuvert sind ebenfalls aus dem Set Postage Collage Mini Seals. Das Kuvert ist mit ein wenig mit Scattered Straw, der Brief mit Speckled Egg gewischt. Außerdem habe ich auf ihn Texte aus den Sets Postage Collage und Postage Collage Fall aufgestempelt.

Der Füller aus matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock und schwarzem Cardstock ist aus dem Little Letter Stanzenset von LawnFawn. Auf dem Kuvert befindet sich dann noch ein weiteres kleines Siegel.

Und rund um das Kuvert habe ich einige Mini-Briefmarken verteilt. Die sind mit der Postage Collage Mini Stanze gemacht und mit der passenden Mini-Stencil und Distress Ink Faded Jeans und Scattered Straw eingefärbt. Dann habe ich mit grüner Tinte diverse Motive aus den Postage Collage Stempelsets und mit schwarzer Tinte Werte aufgestempelt. 

Und oben links auf der Karte befindet sich der andere, eigentlich erste Teil meines Texts.  

 

On the bottom of the left page of the book I adhered an envelope with a letter, grasses, a pen and postage stamps. From this envelope come all those flowers.  

Grasses, envelope and letter are again from Postage Collage Mini Seals. I inked the envelope with a bit of Scattered Straw, the letter with Speckled Egg. I also stamped texts from Postage Collage and Postage Collage Fall onto the letter.

The pen is made from matte gold metallic cardstock and black cardstock using dies from Little Letter by LawnFawn. On the envelope I adhered another small seal.

And around the envelope I placed some small postage stamps. I used the Postage Collage Mini die for them and colored them using the matching mini stencil and Distress Ink Faded Jeans and Scattered Straw. Then I stamped little images from the Postage Collage sets onto them with green ink and also added values with black ink.

And on the top left of the left page there's the other, first part of my text.

Das Buch hat ja bereits einige Höhe, deswegen habe ich auf weiteres 3D Tape verzichtet. Nur einige der frei schwebenden Teile der auf dem Buch aufgeklebten Motive habe ich zur Stabilisierung ein wenig damit hinterlegt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The book is already pretty thick so I didn't add any additional foam tape. I just put some smaller pieces behind the overhanging parts of the elements on top of the book, just to stabilize them a bit.

Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

 

Eine Graduation Karte

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Auch wenn es bei uns hier nicht die klassischen Graduation-Feierlichkeiten gibt, Schulabschlüsse etc. werden natürlich auch bei uns gefeiert. Und momentan ist ja wieder die Zeit dafür. Also zeige ich Euch heute eine Karte, die zwar optisch eher Graduation schreit, aber genau so gut als Abschlusskarte für alle möglichen Schularten verwendet werden kann.

 

Hello everyone!

Here in Germany we don't have the same graduation ceremonies as in the US, but of course kids graduate here, too, and of course that's celebrated. And it's the time again right now. So today I am sharing a card with you, that looks like an american graduation, but can as well be used for graduates of all kinds of school types here.

 

Und weil sie so schön einfach zu machen ist und gleichzeitig so viel Spaß macht, kam hier wieder die Pull'n Slide Surprise Stanze von LawnFawn zum Einsatz. Klar geht die Kartenart auch ohne Stanze, aber sie macht es doch sehr viel schneller und "idiotensicher", vermessen ist unmöglich.

 

And because it's so quickly made and a lot of fun at the same time I used the Pull'n Slide Surprise die by LawnFawn again. Of course you can make a card like that without the die, but it's way faster and fool proof with it, no chance of miss-cutting anything.

 

 Natürlich lässt sich die Karte flach zusammenlegen und lässt sich so auch etwas einfacher fotografieren.

Ich habe für den Hintergrund einn Stück cremefarbenes Designpapier aus dem Let it Shine Starry Skies  Paper Pad verwendet, das gold-folierte Sterne als Muster hat. Aus dem selben Papier, diesmal in hellgrau, habe ich dann den Aufleger für den Mechanismus gestanzt. Ich hatte überlegt, den rot zu hinterlegen, aber ich finde es gerade in aufgestelltem Zustand zu schön, wenn die Muster so toll zusammen passen.

 

Of course the card can be put down flat and is also easier to photograph this way.

For the background I used a piece of cream colored patterned paper from the Let it Shine Starry Skies paper pad, that has gold foiled star constellations as the pattern. From the same paper, this time a light grey, I cut the top of my mechanism. I had thought about matting it red but, especially when the card is put up, I really like the matching patterns on both papers.

 

Zum Dekorieren der Karte kam hauptsächlich das Simply Celebrate Graduation Stempelset zum Einsatz.

Ich habe die Tafel in der Höhe verlängert, um die Karte mehr damit zu füllen. Die Innenfläche habe ich mit Distress Ink Black Soot gewischt und dann die Texte weiß aufembosst. Außerem habe ich die Kante eines weißen Stempelkissens einige Male in verschiedenen Richtungen aufs Papier gedrückt - welche Tafel ist jemals streifenfrei gewischt? Außerdem habe ich um den Text einige rote Sterne aus dem selben Set und unten links in die Ecke ein paar Bücher aus dem Bücherregal aus Cimply Celebrate Hangouts aufgeklebt.

Oben an der Tafel hängt eine Partygirlande, und in Mousetown ist die natürlich mit Käsemuster!  Die kleine Girlande ist aus dem Set TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window Add-On Set. 

To decorate my card I mainly used the Simply Celebrate Graduation stamp set.

I made the chalk board a bit taller to fill the card more. The inside I inked with Distress Ink Black Soot and then white heat embossed the texts onto it. I also lightly pressed the edge of a white pigment ink pad in different directions onto the boar - which chalk board has no white stripes when cleaned? I scattered some red stars from the same set around the text and added a stack of books from the bookshelf from Simply Celebrate Hangouts to the bottom left corner.

Across the board there's a party banner and in Mousetown this has to be made from cheese. The little garland is from TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window Add-On.

 

 Vor der Tafel steht ein Tisch aus Käse, an dem einige Schüler sitzen. Vor dem Tisch steht der Lehrer mit einem weiteren Schüler, der gerade  sein Diplom erhalten hat. Und natürlich ist auch das aus Käse... Das kleine Käsestück ist aus Crazy Antics, die stehenden Mäuse aus Whoosh Kites. Ich habe ihnen Hüte von zwei Mäuse aus dem Simply Celebrate Graduation Stempelset gegeben - und aus dem Set sind auch die Schüler im Hintergrund. Alle Motive auf der Karte sind wie fast immer mit Copics coloriert.

Über den Mäusen habe ich noch einige Sprechblasen aus All The Speech Bubbles gesetzt, in die ich Texte aus dem Sprechblasenset sowie aus Cheesy Christmas Add-On gestempelt habe. 

Als Boden habe ich unten auf den Mechanismus schwarzen Cardstock aufgeklebt.

Und unten, am Übergang des Mechanismus zum Kartenhintergrund, fehlte mir noch etwas. Also habe ich das Banner aus dem Pull'n Slide Surprise Set zweimal aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und auf eines einen weiteren Text aufembosst. Außerdem habe ich an die Enden jeweils einen Rahmen mit einem goldenen Gelstift aufgemalt. Ich habe bei dem Banner mit dem aufembossten Text die Enden abgeschnitten und, etwas nach unten versetzt, die Enden des zweiten Banner aufgeklebt. So reicht es über den kompletten Mechanismus und darüber hinaus.

 

 In front of the chalk board there's a table made from cheese and some students are sitting behind it. In front of the table there's the teacher and another student, that just got his diploma. And of course that's a piece of cheese...

The little cheese is from Crazy Antics, the standing mice from Whoosh Kites. I gave ghem graduation caps from two of the  mice from Simply Celebrate Graduation - and from this set are also the students in the background. All images on this card are colored with Copics.

Above the mice I added some speech bubbles from All the Speech Bubbles and stamped text from this set and Cheesy Christmas Add-On into them.

As a ground I added black cardstock to the bottom of the mechanism.

And at the bottom, where the mechanism ends, I  needed another element. So I cut the banner from Pull'n Slide Surprise twice from red cardstock and white heat embossed another text onto one of them. I also drew a frame onto the ends of both banners using a gold gel epn. I cut the ends of the banner with the stamped on text off and instead added the ends of the second banner, moving them a bit down. Now it covers the whole meachanism.

 

 Die Tafel ist direkt auf den Mechanismus geklebt, das Banner, die Sprechblasen und den Käsetisch mit den Schülern habe ich mit dünnem, die  beiden stehenden Mäuse mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. 

Und hier sieht man auch den Glanz des auffolierten Musters auf dem Designpapier.

 

The chalk board I glued directly onto the mechanism, the banner, the speech bubbles and the cheese table with the students I adhered with thin, the standing mice with thick foam tape.

And here you can also see the shine of the gold foiled stars on the patterned paper.

 

 Zieht man am Tab oben am Mechanismus, dann stellt sich die Szene auf - und das macht sich natürlich super. Das Designpapier ist nur noch zwischen den Mäusen und der Tafel sichtbar. 

When you pull the tab at the top of the mechanism the scene props up - and of course that's looks amazing when the card is display. The patterned paper is only visible anymore between the board and the mice.

 

 Ich habe den Mechanismus samt Szene mit 3D Tape auf das Designpapier im Hintergrund geklebt. Das muss nicht sein, aber so, finde ich, passt die Geschenkkarte besser darunter. Die wird erst sichtbar, wenn die Szene aufgestellt ist. 

I adhered the mechanism with the scene with foam tape to the patterend paper background. You don't have to, but I think, this way the giftcard fits underneath better. The gift card is only visible once the scene is propped up.

 

 Die Geschenkkarte habe ich mit zwei Glue Dots auf dem Papier befestigt, die lassen sich problemlos und rückstandsfrei entfernen. Und durch das cremefarbene Papier im Hintergrund, das dann sichtbar wird, sieht die Karte auch ohne die Geschenkkarte noch schön aus.

 

I used two Glue Dots to attach the gift card to the paper, those can be removed easily and without leaving any sticky spots left. And due to the cream colored patterned paper, that's visible now, the card still looks nice once the gift card has been removed.

 

Karte für Spürnasen

Vor gut einer Woche gab es ja das neue Release von Create a Smile, und darin war unter anderem ein Set mit allen möglichen Motiven zum Thema Detektiv. Das musste ich haben. Und hier habe ich es dann eingeweiht.

Create a Smile had a new release a little over a week ago, and there was a set included in this release that had all kind of images for little detectives. I just had to have it! Here I used it for the first time.

 

Mir war klar, dass die Karte etwas besonderes werden sollte - und mir kam dann auch ziemlich schnell die zündende Idee.

Von außen sieht sie erstmal aus wie eine alte Polizeiakte - braun, verfärbt, fleckig. Das muss ein echter Cold Case sein. 

Ich habe einen Streifen braunen Cardstocks zugeschnitten und ihn so gefaltet, dass die hintere Seite gut 1 cm höher ist als die vordere. Diesen überstehenden Streifen habe ich dann mit dem Cutter abgeschnitten und nur einen Reiter stehen lassen. Auf den habe ich dann den Aktennamen gestempelt und dafür einen der Texte aus dem neuen Set Spürnase benutzt.

Die Akte an sich habe ich mit Distress Ink Vintage Photo schön fleckig gewischt und dann mit der selben Tinte Flecken aufgestempelt. Die sind mit Stempeln aus dem Set Bloody Hands von Inka-Dinka-Do gemacht. 

Oben rechts auf die Akte habe ich mit roter Tinte noch ein Top-Secret-Zeichen aufgestempelt und in die Mitte, wo sich eigentlich eine Art Definition von Top Secret befindet, drei schwarze Fragezeichen, wieder aus dem Set Spürnase, gestempelt. Der Top-Secret-Stempel ist ein wirklich alter von Catslife Press.

 

I knew from the beginning that I wanted  to make a special card with this set - and I had the right idea pretty quickly.

The outside of the card looks like an old police file folder - brown, yellowed from age and splotchy. This seems to be a real cold case.

I cut a strip from brown cardstock and folded it, making the back of the card about 1/4" taller than the front. I cut off this overlapping strip with my paper cutter, leaving a strip in the center to create a tab. Onto that I stamped the name of the case. The text means "title: birthday guy/girl; age: (blackened out)". It's again  from the new Spürnasen set.

I inked the file folder with Distress Ink Vintage Photo quite splotchy on purpose and then used the same ink to add some stain. For those I used stamps from Bloody Hands by Inka-Dinka-Do.  

Onto the top right corner of the file folder I stamped a top secret sign using red ink. Into the center area, where there is some kind of defiinition of top secret originally, I stamped three large question marks, again from the set Spürnase. The top secret stamp is a really old one by Catslife Press.

 

 Ebenfalls von Inka-Dinka-Do habe ich ein Stempelset voller Crime Scene Motive - es heißt Evidence. Aus dem ist das Absperrband, das ich mit schwarzer Tinte auf gelben Cardstock geklebt und dann quer über den Aktendeckel geklebt habe. Darunter, in der rechten Ecke der Karte, befinden sich ein paar Fußspuren, die der Täter wohl hinterlassen hat. Auch die sind in dem Spürnasenset enthalten.

Und aus eben diesem Set ist natürlich auch der kleine Detektiv. Den habe ich mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Über seinem Kopf habe  ich einen Text, schwarz auf eine weiße Sprechblase gestempelt, aufgeklebt. 

 

Also from Inka-Dinka-Do I own a stamp set with crime scene related images, it's called Evidence. From this set I used stamps to create the police tape, stamping it with black ink onto yellow cardstock. Then I adhered  it across the top of the file folder. Under it, in the bottom right corner, I added some foot/shoe prints, that the perpetrator  left. Those again come in the set Sprünase.

And from this set is also the little detective. I colored him with Copics and cut him out with scissors. Above his head I attached a little speech bubble with a stamped on "hello private eye". 

 

 Hinter den Detektive und die Sprechblase habe ich dünnes 3D Tape gesetzt.

Und damit die Akte auch geschlossen bleibt, habe ich eine kleine Büroklammer oben über die Öffnung der Karte geschoben.

To keep the file folder closed I used a little paper clip at the top opening of the file folder.

 

 Und natürlich ist die Akte auch gefüllt! Womit sieht man, wenn man sie öffnet.

Ich habe auch die Innenseiten der Karte mit Vintage Photo gewischt und wieder einige Flecken aufgestempelt.

 

And of course the file folder is filled - you can see the content when you open it.

I inked the cardstock on the inside with Vintage Photo as well and again stamped some spots onto it.

 

 Im oberen Teil der Akte befinden sich die sichergestellten Beweise und eine Lupe - die braucht jeder Detektiv. Diese hier ist aber besonders und lässt sich außerdem herausnehmen. 

Die Lupe ist aus matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock und braunem Cardstock gestanzt, den braunen Cardstock des Griffes habe ich mit Sandpapier etwas angerauht und so den helleren Kern hervorgehoben. Das besondere an der Lupe ist, dass sie ein rotes Glas hat. Dazu dann gleich noch mehr. Ich habe beide Seiten der Lupe identisch dekoriert. So kann man sie einfach zurückschieben, ohne darauf achten zu müssen, dass die schöne Seiten oben liegt.

 

In the top part of the file folder there is all the saved evidence and a magnifying glass - something every detective needs. But this one is a special one and can also be taken out.

The magnifying glass I cut from matte gold metallic cardstock and brown cardstock, the brown handle I sanded with a sanding block, bringing out the lighter brown core of the cardstock. What's special about this magnifying glass is, that it has a red glass. More about that soon.

I decorated both sides of the magnifying glass so it can just be put back in place withouth having to make sure, the nice side is facing up. 

Nach dem Herausnehmen der Lupe sieht man die sichergestellten Beweismittel. 

Aus cremefarbenem Cardstock und mit einer Stanze von MFT habe ich ein Polaroid gestanzt. Hinter den Ausschnitt habe ich schwarzen Cardstock gesetzt, auf den ich mit weißem Embossingpulver die Umrisslinien des Opfers aufembosst habe. Der Stempel dafür kommt wieder aus dem Set Evidence. Rund um die Umrisslinien habe ich einige Täfelchen mit den nummerierten Beweisen aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich einfach mit schwarzer Tinte die kleinen Zahlen aus dem Set Klein und Fein auf gelben Cardstock gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.

Wieder aus dem Set Spürnase ist der Fingerabdruck. Auch den habe ich auf cremefarbenen Cardstock gestempelt. Und weil Fingerabdrücke, die an einem Tatort gefunden werden, nie perfekt sind, habe ich hier jeweils Second Generation Stamping gemacht und den Stempel nicht zu fest auf das Papier gedrückt, so dass der Stempelabdruck einige freie Stellen hat. 

Das cremefarbene Papier habe ich dann wieder ganz leicht mit Vintage Photo gewischt.

Zum Befestigen der Beweismittel habe ich kleine Klebestreifen benutzt. Die  sind aus dem Set Stuck Duck von MissInkStamps, mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. 

Als Lasche, hinter die die Lupe geschoben werden kann, habe ich einen Streifen braunen Cardstocks, den ich wieder gewischt habe, nur an den beiden Enden innen in den Aktendeckel geklebt. Darauf habe ich ein "Alles Gute, Sherlock", wieder aus dem Set Spürnase, aufgestempelt. Der Text ist hier dann eher als "viel Glück beim Lösen des Falls" gemeint. Über den Streifen habe ich mit einem dünnen weißen Gelstift jeweils oben und unten eine Naht aufgemalt.

 

Once you've taken out the magnifying glass you can see all the evidence.

I die cut a polaroid frame from cream colored cardstock using a die by MFT. Behind the window I put some black cardstock, onto that I white heat embossed the traced outlines of the victim. The stamp for those outlines comes again from the Evidence stamp set. I put up some yellow signs with numbers to mark the spots where smaller pieces of evidence were found. For those I simply stamped little numbers with black ink onto yellow cardstock, cut them out and glued them down.

Again from the Spürnase set is the finger print image. I stamped it again onto cream colored cardstock. And since finger prints found at a crime scene are never perfect I did some second generation stamping, only pressing down the stamp lightly to have an imperfect impression. 

I lightly inked the cream cardstock with Vintage Photo.

To attach the evidence to the file folder I used little pieces of tape. Those are from Stuck Duck by MissInkStamps, colored with Copics and cut out.

I also created a spot to put the magnifying glass behind. I cut a strip from brown cardstock, inked it lightly and then glued down just the two ends.  Onto it I stamped a "good luck, Sherlock" text, that would work as some kind of birthday greeting in german but I used it more as a "good luck for solving this case". I  used a fine white gel pen to add some stitched lines at  the top and bottom of the cardstock strip.

 

 Tja, und der Inhalt des unteren Teils des Karteninneren macht dann erstmal eher wenig Sinn. Stimmt aber nicht, denn natürlich ist der Inhalt einer so vertraulichen Akte verschlüsselt! Und hier kommt die Lupe ins Spiel....

 

Well, the bottom inner part of the file folder doesn't make much sense at first. But that's not true - of course the content of such a top secret file is encrypted!  And that's where  the magnifying glass comes into play...

 

 Vor vielen Jahren hatte ich mal eine Decoder Card gemacht und die fiel mir bei der Ideensuche für diese Karte wieder ein.... Auf dem weißen Cardstock im Inneren der Karte befindet sich neben weiteren Fingerabdrücken auch ein Text, beides mit hell-lila farbener Tinter gestempelt bzw. gedruckt. Darüber habe ich dann den Typewriter Background von MFT mit roter Tinte gestempelt. Ich habe mehrere Lagen des Stempels gemacht und dabei den weißen Cardstock immer ein wenig verschoben, so dass ein wirres Muster aus feinen roten Linien entsteht. 

Legt man nun die Lupe mit der roten Folie über dieses Muster, wird das Rot quasi eliminiert und der lilafarbene Text darunter wird lesbar. Natürlich nicht so gut, wie mit schwarzer Tinte gestempelt, aber das braucht er ja gar nicht. Lesbar ist er allemal wirklich gut. Und die hell-lila Tinte ist hinter den roten Linien prima getarnt. Helles  Blau oder Grün gehen statt des Lila übrigens auch, sieht man aber ein klein wenig mehr durch.

Ich habe hier im Inneren einen Einladungstext für einen Escape-Game-Spieleabend versteckt und den einfach am PC geschrieben. Ich gestehe, dass ich den Cardstock hier noch nicht dauerhaft in die Karte geklebt habe, denn der richtige Text für die Einladung, also mit richtigem Datum etc., steht noch nicht fest. Wenn es so weit ist, ersetze ich den Cardstock einfach. 

Many years ago I have made a Decoder Card and I remembered it when I was looking for an idea for this card... On the white cardstock inside the card there are  some more finger prints and also a text, both stamped/printed with light purple ink. On top I stamped the Typewriter Background by  MFT using red ink. I did several layers with this stamp and moved the cardstock every time a bit to end up with a mess of fine red lines.

When you put the magnifying glass with the red foil onto the pattern, the red ink kind of gets eliminated and the purple text underneath becomes legible. Of course not as crisp as if  it was  stamped with black ink, but that's not necessary. It  can be read easily. And  the light purple ink is hidden pretty well behind the red lines. You can also use a light blue or green  instead of the purple, but it's a bit more visible through the red ink.

I put the text for invitation for a escape room game night behind the lines and simply created  it with my PC and  printer. I have to admit that the  cardstock isn't adhered permanently to the card yet because I will have to make a new text with the real date etc. But then I can just stamp new lines on top and switch the cardstock pieces.

 

 Und hier habe ich mal versucht, den Text durch die Lupe hindurch zu fotografieren - auf dem Bild sieht er aber sehr viel heller als in Wirklichkeit aus. Ihr könnt aber immerhin erkennen, dass da ein Text und Fingerabdruck versteckt ist, oder? Bewegt man die Lupe über den Cardstock, kann man auch den Rest des Textes und weitere Fingerabdrücke lesen/sehen.

 

And here I tried to take a picture of the text through the magnifying glass - it looks a lot lighter on the picture than in real life. But at least you can tell that there's some hidden text and a finger print, right? When you move the magnifying glass over the cardstock you can also see/read the rest of the text and more finger prints.

 

LawnFawnatics Challenge #197

Heute zeige ich meine Karte für die aktuelle LawnFawnatics Challenge und die ist (fast) nur mit Stanzen gemacht. Das Thema lautet schließlich "dies only", wobei Textstempel erlaubt sind. Zum Glück, sonst wäre die Karte um einiges fader geworden...

 

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing with you the card I made for the current LawnFawnatics Challenge and it's (almost) made using dies. The reason is that the theme for this challenge is "dies only". Luckily sentiment stamps are allowed, otherwise the card would have turned out a lot more boring.

 

 Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück Designpapier aus dem Watercolor Wishes Paper Pad. Ich habe nur ein wenig weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

The background is made using a sheet from the Watercolor Wishes paper pad and only splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.

 

 Aus dem Designpapier habe ich dann mit der TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window AddOn Stanze ein Fenster ausgestanzt. Durch den nach innen gewellten Rand und die gestitchte Linie wirkt es toll, genau so wie es ist. Hinter das so entstandene Fenster habe ich dann orangefarbenes Designpapier aus dem Into the Woods Paper Pad geklebt.

Das Fenster war dann der Hintergrund für meinen Text, der gleichzeitig das Hauptelement auf der Karte ist. Gemacht ist er mit der Giant You Did It Stanze. Die oberste Lage habe ich aus schwarzem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und leicht versetzt mit zwei weiteren Lagen aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt. 

Aus dem Rahmen und durch das D von DID saust ein Komet - der Stern bildet den Punkt auf dem I. Für den Stern habe ich die Shooting Star Stanze benutzt - die drei Bögen der Schweife sind  aus weißem und cremefarbenen Designpapieren aus den Paper Pads Let It Shine, Spiffy Speckles und Spiffier Speckles gemacht. Der Stern ist aus bronzefarbenem Spiegelcardstock.

Oben rechts habe ich ein kleines Partybanner aufgehängt, das ebenfalls aus dem TaDa Diorama Set ist und aus den gleichen Papieren wie der Schweif des Kometen gemacht ist.

 

I cut a window into the patterned paper using the TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window AddOn die. It adds some interest just with the scalloped edges and stitched lines. Behind the window I put a piece of orange patterned paper from Into the Woods.

The window was the background for the text, that's also the main element on my card. I made it using the Giant You Did It die. The top layer is cut from black glitter cardstock, then I put two layers cut from black cardstock behind it, offsetting it a bit. 

Out of the frame and right through the D of DID goes a shooting star - the star itself makes the tittle on the I. I used the Shooting Star die here, the "tail" I cut from white and cream colored patterned papers from Let it Shine, Spiffy Speckles and Spiffier Speckles. The star I cut from bronze mirror cardstock.

Across the top right corner of the frame I've hung up a party banner, that's made using another die from the TaDa Diorama set and the same papers that I used for the star's tail.  

Quer über die Karte habe ich dann einige Sterne geklebt, die ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock gemacht habe. Dafür kamen Stanzen aus Let's Celebrate  Backdrop und TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window AddOn. Zwei kleinere Sterne habe ich auch als I-Punkt sowie Punkt unter dem Ausrufzeichen benutzt.

 

I added some stars that I cut from matte silver metallic cardstock across the card. I cut those using dies from Let's Celebrate Backdrop and TaDa Diorama Scalloped Window AddOn. I used two smaller stars as tittle on the other I and under the exclamation point.

 

 Wie schon erwähnt, sind Textstempel erlaubt. Ich habe hier ein größeres Congratulations auf ein Banner gestempelt und unter dem Fenster aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich einige kleinere Texte verwendet und auf der Karte verteilt. Alle Texte sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und alle aus dem Set Simply Celebrate Graduation.

 

As I said already it is allowed to add some stamped text. I stamped a larger Congratulations onto a banner and adhered it under the window. I also used a few smaller texts and scattered them over the card. All of them are white heat embossed onto black cardstock and from Simply Celebrate Graduation.

 

 Das Designpapier mit dem ausgestanzten Fenster habe ich mit dickem 3D Tape auf das orangefarbene Papier geklebt. Und auch bei der Deko kam 3D Tape zum Einsatz: es befindet sich sowohl hinter en Texten als auch den Sternen auf dem großen gestanzten Text.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the patterned paper with the cut out window with thick foam tape onto the orange paper. And I also used it for the decorations: there's some behind the texts and the stars, that I glued on top of die cut text.

I matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white note card.
