Es ist schon wieder passiert - ich hatte diesen Post vorbereitet und alles was zur gefragen Uhrzeit dann im Posting war, waren drei Links. Also wieder sorry, falls Ihr schon hier wart... Ich habe keine Ahnung, woran das liegt.

Nun aber zu meiner Karte für unsere neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Dort hält der Frühling Einzug...

Ich habe hier eines der süßen Motive von Mo Manning verwendet. Zuerst hatte ich ein wenig Bedenken, dass die Farbe des Kleides und die Haut zu ähnlich sind und das Ganze komisch wirken würde, aber ich bin doch ganz zufrieden mit der Farbkombi. Auf jeden Fall frühlingshaft.

I used one of the cute images by Mo Manning here. First I was a bit afraid that the dress and skin colors were too close and so the colored image would look strange but I am quite pleased with the outcome of the colors here. At least they are screaming spring.

Magnolia Down Under - old treasures

Sonnigen Sonntag, Ihr Lieben!
Auch diese Woche gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. Unser Thema diesmal lautet "old treasures" - alte Schätze. Verwendet bzw. wiederverwendet also irgend etwas altes oder einen Teil davon. Bei mir sind es die Buchstabenwürfel, die von einem alten Armband meiner Mädels sind.

Also this week we at Magnolia Down Under have a new challenge up for you. Our new theme is "old treasures" so use or re-use something old or a part of it. In my case these are the letter cubes that come from a bracelett my girls once got.

Ansonsten habe ich auf der Karte einen Schnuller-Charm und ein älteres Metall-Teil mit Babyaufdruck verwendet. Die Zahlen und natürlich das Motiv sind natürlich von Magnolia.

Es ist wieder Zeit für das Stempeleinmaleins, diesmal mit einer Anleitung für einen Post-It-Holder.

It's that time for Stempeleinmaleins again, this week our tutorial is for how to make a Post-It holder.

Ich habe meinen mal nicht in "cute", sondern eher klassisch-elegant gehalten. Die verschiedenen Cardstock habe ich bestempelt bzw. bespritzt, den Text am Computer ausgedruckt, ein paar kleine Perlen darunter gesetzt, als Deko noch einen Poststempel und zum Verschließen etwas Schnur. Fertig!

I didn't do something cute this time but kept it more classic and elegant. I stamped on the cardstock, printed the text from my computer, added a few pearls underneath and a poststamp as decoration and finally some twine to close the holder. That's it!

Nun aber ab in den Alltag, denn es gibt eine neue Challenge bei The Sketchy Challenge.
Und dies ist unser neuer Sketch:

There is a new challenge at The Sketchy Challenge. And this is our new sketch:

Und ich nutze ihn gleich, um Euch den ersten der neuen Stempel von Whiff Of Joy zu präsentieren! Heute startet nämlich die Preview-Woche für die neuen Stempel aus der "We Are Family" Kollektion. Sie besteht aus 10 süßen Henry-Stempeln. Doch Henry ist diesmal nicht alleine, er hat seine ganze Familie mitgebracht. Und die Motive sind so süß, es war wirklich schwer sich zu entscheiden, welches ich zuerst verwenden möchte! Schließlich habe ich mir für "So Entdeckst Du Die Welt" entschieden. Ein Spaziergang in der Frühlingssonne... Wenn das nicht paßt!
Geben wird es die Stempel dann ab dem 22. März bei Whiff Of Joy.

And I am using this beautiful sketch, to present you the first of the new stamps by Whiff Of Joy! Today preview week for the new stamps from the "We Are Family" range is starting. These are 10 of those cute Henry stamps. But Henry isn't allone this time - he brought all his family. And those images are so cute, it was really hard to decide which one to color first. Finally I picked "How You Discover The World" (my own translation of the german name so the english one might be different). A walk in the spring sun... isn't that perfect for today?
The stamps will be available at Whiff Of Joy from the 22nd of march.

Mein Bruder bekommt ja im Mai sein erstes Baby, na wenn da die Kollektion nicht wie gerufen kommt! Und irgendwie bin ich auf Junge eingestellt, auch wenn die beiden nicht wissen möchten, was es wird. Notfalls muss ich eben nochmal neu produzieren. LOL

My brother and his girl friend will have their first baby in may so this collection has been brought out at the perfect moment for me. Somehow I am thinking of the baby being a boy, even if the two don't want to know the gender. So in case I need to re-produce. LOL

Cute Card Thursday - birthday

Einen besonders schönen Donnerstag Morgen! Die Sonne scheint, die Vögel zwitschern - kann der Tag besser beginnen?
Kann er, denn es gibt eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Und es ist gleichzeitig der 4. Geburtstag des Challengeblogs. Und darum lautet unser Thema diese Woche auch "birthday".

A very happy thursday morning! The sun is shining, birds are singing - is there a better way to start theday?
Well, yes there is because we at Cute Card Thursday have a new challenge up for you. And it's also the 4th birthday of the challenge blog so our new theme is "birthday".

Beim Suchen nach dem passenden Motiv bin ich über dieses Digi von Mo Manning gestolpert und habe mich sofort verliebt. Beim Colorieren habe ich dann nach Lila gegriffen, einer Farbe, die ich ja nur äußerst selten verwende. Aber die Kombi hier gefällt mir prima. Passend zum Thema habe ich die Karte mit einer Girlande und einem Luftballon dekoriert. Den habe ich 3dimensional gestaltet, indem ich einfach 3 Luftballons in der Mitte gefaltet und nur dort aufeinander geklebt habe. Die Schnur ist mit der Nähmaschine gemacht. Zum Schluss fehlte mir dann noch der passende Text und nach einigem Suchen fiel mir der Stempel von Stampin'Up in die Hände. "Heute ist nicht der richtigte Tag für 'nur ein kleines Stückchen'" - wenn das nicht zum Motiv paßt. LOL

While looking for an image I came across this digi by Mo Manning and fell in love with it immediately. When doing the coloring I went with purple - a color I just use like only twice a year. But this combo was really fun to do. Matching the theme I went with a banner and a balloon as decoration. The balloon is 3dimensional. I cut 3 of them, fold them in the middle and only put glue on the fold. The string was made with my sewing machine. At the end I was only missing the right text. After some looking through my stash I found this stamp by Stampin' Up. "This is no day for 'just a sliver'" - isn't that the perfect one for that image? LOL

Wunderschönen Mittwoch Morgen!
Die Sonne ist immer noch Mangelware hier, aber in der Früh zwitschern die Vögel, die Krokusse und Schneeglöckchen blühen im Garten - der Frühling muss unterwegs sein! Und darum gibt es wieder eine Frühlingskarte von mir.
Entstanden ist sie für unsere neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Unser neues Thema ist ein Sketch:

Sunshine is still rare here but the birds are singing in the mornings, foxgloves are blooming in our garden - spring must be on its way! And so I am sharing another spring-ish card today. I made it for our new challenge at Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Our new theme is a sketch:

Ich habe hier "Hallo Marienkäfer" verwendet, der im letztjährigen Frühjahrs-Stempelkit enthalten war und nun als Einzelstempel zu bekommen ist. Und für alle, die nicht genug Frühlingsstempel haben, gibt es bei Whiff Of Joy gerade ein Sonderangebot für viele Frühlingsstempel, z. B. die süßen Zwerge von Norma Fickel.
Ich wollte meine Karte "schön leicht" machen und habe daher sehr viel Weiß benutzt, aufgelockert durch etwas grün und blau. So kommt auch das colorierte Motiv prima zur Geltung. Es ist mit Copics coloriert und auf die Herzen des Kleides habe ich farblosen Spica At You aufgetragen. Leider konnte ich das Glitzern/Schimmern nicht auf dem Foto einfangen...

I used "Hello Ladybug" here, one of the stamps that was included in last year's spring kit but it can be purchased as a single stamp. And for all of you that don't own enough spring stamps Whiff Of Joy is offering reduced prices on a lot of spring stamps, i.e. the cute gnomes by Norma Fickel.
I wanted my card to look "light" and so I used a lot of white with a little bit of blue and green. This also keeps the focus on the colored image. It was colored with Copics and I added Clear Spica At You on the hearts on her dress. Unfortunately I wasn't able to keep the shimmer and glimmer on the photo...

Hallo und schönen Dienstag Morgen!
Naja, auch wenn die Sonne hier momentan nicht so richtig scheinen will - Frühling liegt ganz eindeutig in der Luft. Und darum gibt es heute von mir eine Frühlingskarte zu sehen.

Hello and happy tuesday morning!
Well, even if the sun isn't shining here at the moment you can feel it: spring is in the air. And so I have a spring card to share with you today.

Ich habe dafür Hippie Chick verwendet - einer der allerersten Simply Sassy Stempel, die ich mir gekauft habe und immer noch eines meiner Lieblingsmotive. Farblich bin ich diesmal im blau-grün Bereich geblieben und passend zu den leicht rötlichen Haaren habe ich der Süßen mit einem Copic Fine Liner 0.5 in Sepia kleine Sommersprossen verpaßt.

I used Hippie Chick here - one of the first Simply Sassy Stamps I ever bought and still one of my favourites. I used blue-greens for my coloring and matching the slightly red hair coloring I used a Sepia Copic Fine Liner 0,5 to add little spreckles to this cutie's face.
