Das Thema der LawnFawnatics Challenge #174 lautet "feature a stencil" - und das ist meine Karte dazu. Nun, da ich den Stencil im Fokus haben wollte, bin ich bei dieser Karte komplett ohne Stanzteile ausgekommen. Das gab es ja schon lange nicht mehr!

The theme for the LawnFawnatics Challenge #174 is "feature a stencil" - and this is my card for it. Since I wanted the stencil to be a focal point I really didn't use any die cut at all on this card. This hasn't happened since a long time!
Für meine Meeres-Sonnenuntergang-Szene habe ich das Beach Sunset Stencilset verwendet und damit einen kompletten Kartenaufleger gestaltet. Gewischt habe ich mit Distress Oxides.
Für die Sonne habe ich Squeezed Lemonade und Mustard Seed verwendet. Das Meer samt Spiegelung ist mit Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door und Seedless Preserves gemacht, der Himmel mit Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door, Seedless Preserves und Villainous Portion. Ganz unten am Rand der Karte befindet sich ein kleiner Streifen Sandstrand, den ich mit Frayed Burlap und Scorched Timber gemacht habe. Darauf habe ich ganz fein ein wenig weiße Acrylfarbe und Wasser aufgespritzt. Und ganz zum Schluss habe ich dann mit Black Soot die Palmen aufgewischt.
For my ocean sunset scene I used the Beach Sunset stencil set and created a whole card panel with it. I used Distress Oxides to do all the ink blending/stenciling.
For the sun I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed, the ocean and light reflections on are are made with Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door and Seedless Preserves. For the sky I went with Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door, Seedless Preserves and Villainous Portion. And at the very bottom of the card there's a strip of a sandy beach that I created with Frayed Burlap and Scorched Timber. I flicked very small drops of white acrylic paint and some water onto it. And as the very last step I added the palm trees with Black Soot.
Auf die Palmen und die Spiegelungen im Wasser habe ich feine weiße Highlights aufgemalt. Auf den Palmen habe ich zudem direkt daneben mit einem gelb-goldnen Glitter-Gelstift Linien aufgemalt, auf die Reflektionen im Wasser habe ich feine Linien Stickles aufgetragen.
Und auf den Übergang zwischen Sand und Wasser habe ich mit einem feinen Blending Brush ein wenig weiße Stempelfarbe aufgetupft.
I used a thin white gel pen to add some white highlights to the palm trees and the sun reflections in the water. Then I drew some more highlights right next to the white ones onto the palm trees using a yellow-golden glitter gel pen, the reflections in the water I glittered up with some fine lines of Stickles.
Onto the area where water and sand meet I dabbed down some white pigment ink using a fine blending brush.

Natürlich brauchte meine Karte ein Motiv - so ganz ohne geht es dann doch nicht.
Entlang des unteren Randes habe ich Muscheln ausgelegt. Die sind aus dem How You Bean Seashell Add-On Set und mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich mit verschiedenfarbigen Fineliner farblich passende Punktemuster aufgetragen.
Und die beiden sich in den Armen liegenden Tierchen sind aus dem Set Happy Hugs. Ich habe sie hauptsächlich dunkelbraun coloriert und nur an den Kanten, die von der Sonne noch ein wenig beschienen werden, das Braun ins Gelb übergehen lassen.
Of course my card needed an image - I just can't go completly without.
Along the bottom edge of the card I put some seashells. Those are from the How You Bean Seashell Add-On Set and colored wit Copics. Then I used different fineliners matching the colors of my shells and added a dotted pattern to most of them.
And the two hugging critters are from the Happy Hugs set. I mainly colored them a dark brown and let that go into yellow along just those edges, that the sun still shines on a bit.
Um einen Platz für meinen Text zu finden, habe ich ein wenig gebraucht. Dann habe ich aber entschieden, dass ich ihn einfach mitten auf die Sonne stemple. Er ist aus dem Set How You Bean Seashell Add-On und mit brauner Tinte gestempelt.
An den Himmel habe ich dann mit einem weißen Gelstift noch ein paar weiße Punkte als erste Sterne aufgemalt und außerdem mit schwarzer Tinte ein paar späte Vögel aus dem Set Life is Good aufgestempelt.
It took me a bit of time to find a spot for my text, but then I've decided to simply stamp it into the center of the sun. It's from the How You Bean Seashell Add-On set and stamped with brown ink.
Then I drew some small white dots as the first stars of the evening onto the sky and also stamped some late birds from the Life is Good set onto it.
Der gestencilte Teil der Karte ist ja komplett flach, ich wollte aber trotzdem ein wenig Dimension. Also habe ich das Motiv mit dünnem, die Muscheln mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Über die beiden Tiere habe ich als Deko ein kleines pinkfarbenes Herz angebracht.
Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
The stenciled part of the card is completly flat, I still wanted a bit of dimension. So I used thin foam tape behind the critters and thick one behind the seashells. Above the critters I glued down a small pink heart confetti.
Then I attached my card panel onto a white note card.
