Beary Happy Birthday To You

Im November hat HeroArts die Tower of Presents Stanze herausgebracht - sie war hier sofort ausverkauft. Jetzt aber konnte ich sie ergattern. Ich finde sie klasse für Geburtstagskarten - und genau für so eine habe ich sie hier verwendet.

In november HeroArts release the Tower of Presents die - and here it was sold out quickly. Now I was able to get it. I think, it's a great die for birthday cards - and that's what I used it on here.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück hellgrauen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke und Black Soot nach außen hin gewischt habe. Dann habe ich silberne Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt - in schön großen Tropfen, die später wie Konfetti aussehen.

Da zu einer Party auch Luftschlangen gehören, habe ich einige im Hintergrund aufgehängt. Die sind mit den Curly Q Streamers von TheGreetery gemacht. Ich habe die kompletten Luftschlangen aus rotem Spiegel-Cardstock, die kleineren Schattenbereiche aus schwarzem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt.

The background is made from a piece of light grey cardstock, that I inked with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke and Black Soot, leaving the lightest area in the center of the cardstock piece. Then I added splatters of silver metallic watercolor - quite large drops that look like confetti later.

There is no party withouth streamers so I've put some in the background. Those are made using the Curly Q Streamers dies by TheGreetery. I die cut the full ones from red mirror cardstock, the smaller shadow pieces from black glitter cardstock.

 

Den Geschenketurm habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und coloriert. Ich mag ja so Geschenkpapier-Durcheinander nicht. Das ging so weit, dass ich alle Weihnachtsgeschenke im selben Papier, mit gleichfarbiger Schleife unter dem Weihnachtsbaum drapiert habe und dann kam jemand, und hat ein komplett anders, am besten wild gemustert eingepacktes Geschenk dazugelegt. Das fand ich tatsächlich furchtbar! Keine Angst, inzwischen kann ich darüber hinwegsehen.... ;) Aber so ähnlich geht es mir beim Kartenbasteln - zu bunt mag ich einfach nicht. Also habe ich hier alle Geschenke in weiß mit roten Schleifen coloriert. Die Deckel der Geschenkboxen sind ebenfalls alle rot. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics benutzt und dann mit Polychromos nachgearbeitet. Und damit zumindest ein wenig Abwechslung in den Geschenken ist, habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift einigen Schleifen und Geschenken Punkten oder Streifen gegeben.

Zwischen all die Geschenke habe ich dann einige kleine Bären gesteckt. Die sind aus dem Little Bear Agenda Set von MamaElephant und ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert. Ausgeschnitten habe ich sie per Hand. 

Da für einen Text nicht wirklich viel Platz war, habe ich "beary happy birthday" aus den Sets I Heart Pandas und I Heart Pandas Add-On von LawnFawn auf drei aus weißem Cardstock gestanzte Sprechblasen verteilt aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich ein kleines "to you" aus einem der Sets abgestempelt.

Unter den Geschenketurm habe ich dann noch einige Ovale aus schwarzem Cardstock, gemacht mit den Oval Shadows von MFT, als Boden aufgeklebt.

I die cut the tower of presents from white cardstock and colored it in. In real life I don't like when there's a wild mix of differently wrapped presents. I  went so far, that I had wrapped all gifts in the same subtle wrapping paper, added identical bows and put them under the christmas tree - and then someone came and put a present in a totally different wrapping paper (most likely even a really colorful one with a wild pattern) next to them. I really hated that! But don't worry, I learned to live with it by now... ;) But it's the same with cardmaking for me - I just don't like too many colors on one card. So I did only white presents with red bows here. I used Copics to color them and then did some refining with Polychromos. And to have at least a bit of a difference in the stack of gifts I used a white gel pen and added some dots or stripes to some gifts and bows.

Between all the presents I put a few little bears. Those are from Little Bear Agenda by MamaElephant and also colored with Copics. Then I cut them out with my scissors.

There wasn't much room for a text, so I stamped "beary happy birthday" from I Heart Pandas and I Heart Pandas Add-On by LawnFawn onto three speech bubbles, that I had die cut from white cardstock. I also stamped a tiny "to you" from one of the sets.

Under the presents I put a few ovals, cut with the Oval Shadows by MFT from black cardstock, as a ground.

 

 Die Luftschlangen habe ich mit dünnem, die Geschenke mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Hinter den Sprechblasen und den beiden Bären ganz unten habe ich das 3D Tape aufgedoppelt. Dann habe ich noch einige matt-silberne Pailetten als weitere Konfetti auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I adhered the streamers with thin, the presents with thick foam tape to the background. Behind the speech bubbles and the two bears at the bottom I doubled the foam tape up.

I then added a few matte silver sequins as more confetti and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Eine Explosionbox zum 85.

Heute habe ich eine Explosionbox zum 85. Geburtstag eines Mannes für Euch. Erst sollte sie von der Optik zu einem Gutschein für einen Familien-Brunch passen. Aber außer Toaster und Toastbrot hatte ich da nicht viel im Angebot. Also habe ich die Box dann doch eher allgemein zum Geburtstag gestaltet und einen Brunch-Gutschein drin versteckt.

Today I have an explosion box as a gift for the 85th birthday for a man. First it was meant to have a brunch theme. But except for a toaster and some toast I really didn't have much for that. So I kept the box a general birthday theme and put a voucher for the brunch inside. 

Ich habe mich farblich für eine Kombi aus gelb und blau mit ein wenig gold entschieden. 

Die Box selbst ist aus blauem Cardstock gemacht. Die Seitenteile habe ich erst mit weißem, dann mit hellgelbem Cardstock beklebt. Auf die  habe ich mit gelber Tinte und dem Number Jumble Stempel von MFT ein Zahlen-Wirr-Warr aufgestempelt und außerdem die Ränder leicht gewischt. Mit einem dunkelblauen Glitter-Gelstift habe ich noch einen feinen Rahmen aufgemalt.

I went with a yellow, blue and a bit of gold color scheme.

I made the box from blue cardstock. Onto each side I glued some white and yellow cardstock. Onto the yellow cardstock I stamped the numbers with yellow ink and the Number Jumble stamp by MFT and also inked the edges with a darker yellow. With a glitter gel pen I also drew a frame onto each side.

Auch der Deckel ist aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gemacht. Dann habe ich auch hier weißen und gelben, bestempelten Cardstock aufgeklebt.

Als Deko habe ich erst eine gelb-weiß gestreifte Rosette aufgeklebt, auf die ich ein dunkelblaues kleines Doily geklebt habe.

Auf das Doily habe ich eine Schleife aus gelbem Designpapier mit weißen Pünktchen gesetzt. Darunter habe ich dunkelblaues Band gesteckt, an dessen Ende ich einen Tag angebracht habe. Der ist aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt, darauf habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver ein "für dich" aufembosst. 

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar goldene Perlen auf dem Deckel verteilt.

Also the lid is made from dark blue cardstock. Then again I glued white and yellow cardstock with stamped on numbers onto it.

As decoration I first adhered a yellow and white striped paper rosette and put a small dark blue doily on top.

Onto the doily I glued a bow from yellow patterned paper with white dots. I put some dark blue ribbon under the bow and tied a tag to the other end. It's cut from dark blue cardstock and I white heat embossed a "for you" onto it. 

Then I added a few gold pearls to the lid.

Öffnet man den Deckel, klappen die drei Seitenteile auf, das hitnerste bleibt stehen. Damit das klappt, habe ich, zwei kleine Extra-Seitenteile eingebaut. 

 

 When you open the box three side flaps open, the back side stays put up. To make that work I added some small extra sides.

 

In der Mitte befindet sich die angekündigte Deko zum Thema Geburtstag. Das hintere Seitenteil ist mit gelbem Cardstock beklebt, auf den ich dunkler gelb Strahlen aufgewischt habe. Dann habe ich Party-Rosetten und Luftschlangen darauf geklebt.

In the center there's the already mentioned birthday related decoration. The back is covered with yellow cardstock, that I inked some rays onto, using darker yellow ink. Then I added some party rosettes and streamers.

In der Mitte befinden sich mehrere Lagen, die die Deko bilden. Zuerst habe ich ein riesiges 85 aus goldenem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Die mittlere Lage bilden drei Geburtstagskerzen aus hellblauem Cardstock.

Und aus dunkelblauem Cardstock habe ich die Buchstaben für den Namen des Geburtstagskindes gestanzt und dabei das J größer gehalten als die restlichen Buchstaben.

Alle Elemente habe ich mit mehreren Lagen weißen Cardstocks hinterlegt um sie zu stabilisieren. Dann habe ich sie mit Heißkleber auf dem Boden angeklebt.

Um den Heißkleber zu verstecken habe ich dann alles mit einer dünnen Lage gelber Papierstreifen beklebt. Vorne auf die Streifen habe ich Banner aus hellblauem Cardstock aufgesetzt, das ich mit Copics schattiert und darauf mit schwarzer  Tinte "zum Geburtstag" aufgestempelt habe. 

In the center, on the bottom of the box, I put up several layers as decoration. First I die cut a really large 85 from gold cardstock.

As the middle layer I created three birthday candles from light blue cardstock.

And from dark blue cardstock I cut the letters for the name of the birthday boy. I used a larger J as the first letter and smaller letters for the rest of the name.

I backed all elements with several layers of white cardstock to make them more stable. Then I glued them onto the bottom with my hot glue gun.

To hide the glue I covered the bottom with yellow paper strips. In the front I glued a light blue banner, that I have shaded with Copics and stamped "for your birthday" with black ink onto, onto the paper strips.

Die beiden seitlichen Teile sind für die Unterschriften von Kindern, Enkeln und Co gedacht. Die Seiten sind jeweils mit hellblauem und weißem Cardstock beklebt. 

An den oberen Rand habe ich jeweils einen gelben Streifen Cardstocks geklebt. Auf die verteilt habe ich "Herzlichen Glückwunsch von uns allen" aufgestempelt und die Streifen dunkelblau gemattet. Dann habe ich auch hier wieder einen Rahmen mit einem dunkelblauen Glitter-Gelstift aufgemalt und außerdem jeweils zwei Sterne aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock aufgeklebt.

The two side pieces are meant for all the kids, grandkids etc. to sign. I covered each side with light blue and white cardstock.

Along the top edge of the sides I adhered yellow strips of cardstock. I stamped "congratulations from all of us" onto the strips - part of the text onto each strip - and matted it dark blue. Then I again used a dark blue glitter gel pen to draw a frame and added stars cut from gold mirror cardstock.

In die vordere Seite ist eine Tasche eingearbeitet, in der sich der Gutschein befindet.

Die beiden dreieckigen Teile der Tasche sind wieder weiß und gelb beklebt. Außerdem habe ich hier ein aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanztes "Gutschein" aufgeklebt, das ich von unten dunkelblau gewischt habe.

Der Gutschein besteht aus einem hellblauen Quadrat, auf das ich weißen Cardstock geklebt habe. Auch dieses ist mit einem blauen Rahmen und goldenen Sternen dekoriert.

Da ich keine weiteren Details zum Brunch habe, habe ich einfach ein "zum" mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt und darunter ein aus gelben ausgestanzten Buchstaben gestanztes "Brunch" aufgeklebt.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich auch im Inneren der Box einige goldene Perlen verteilt.

I included a pocket in the front flap and put the voucher inside.

The two triangle shaped pieces of the pocket are covered with white and yellow cardstock. I also added a die cut "voucher", cut from light blue cardstock and inked dark blue from the bottom.

The voucher I made from a light blue cardstock square and glued white cardstock on top. Again I added a blue frame and some gold stars.

Since I didn't have any details about the brunch I just stamped a "for a" with black ink onto the little card and glued the word "brunch" onto it, made with letters cut from yellow cardstock.

As a last step I added some more gold pearls to the inside of the box.

Für mein heutiges DT-Projekt für Stampcorner ist mal eine Karte entstanden, die so ganz anders ist als das, was ich sonst so mache. Irgendwie hat es sich so ergeben, und ich bin mir immer noch nicht sicher, was ich vom Ergebnis halte....

Hello everyone!

For my DT project for Stampcorner today I made a card that's completly different from what I usually make. It just happened, and I still am not sure what I think about the result....

Auf dieser Karte sind so viele Dinge zum Einsatz gekommen, die ich seit wirklich Jahrzehnten habe, teilweise sogar noch unbenutzt, und von denen ich fast schon nicht mehr wusste, dass sie noch da sind. Sie haben wirklich sehr geduldig darauf gewartet, zum Einsatz zu kommen.

Ich habe hier ein Clipboard mit angeheftetem Blockblatt gemacht. Das Clipboard besteht einfach aus einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks, an den ich oben einen Clip angebracht habe. Der ist von Sizzix/Tim Holtz - und noch eine dieser dicken Stanzen, die man mit einem Magneten erstmal ein eine Art Metall-Tablett kleben musste. Ja, der ein oder andere mag die noch kennen... Ich habe den Clip zweimal aus silberfarbenem Hologramm-Cardstock gestanzt, auf einen quer zwei Falzlinien gezogen und die Clips zwischen diesen beiden Falzlinien aufeinander geklebt. 

Zwischen die Clips habe ich ein Blockblatt gesetzt. Darauf habe ich zuerst die Linien mit grauer Tinte gestempelt und seitlich mit einer Randstanze die Loch-Abreißkante eingestanzt. Einige der Löcher habe ich dann per Hand ausgerissen. Hinter das Blockblatt habe ich etwas schräg noch ein Stück roten Cardstocks gesetzt.

Zwischen die Linien habe ich dann mit hellblauer Tinte verschiedene kleine Texte wie "XOXO", "hugs and kisses" und "you're sweet" sowie einige kleine Herzen aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich den Cardstock mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone gewischt. 

Irgendwie war das immer noch fad. Also habe ich erst ein paar rote, kreisförmige Ränder aufgestempelt und bin dann über den Romantic Script Hintergrund von MFT gestolpert. Der passte fast perfekt auf die Linien des Blockblatts. Damit der Text nicht zu sehr heraussticht, habe ich ihn per Second Generation Stamping mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. 

Ganz oben auf die oberste Linie habe ich mit roter Tinte noch ein "Notes" aufgestempelt.

On this card I used a lot of things that I have had for decades, some of them even unused, and most of them I didn't even remember that I still had them. They have been waiting veeeery patiently to finally be used.

I created a clipboard with a notebook page on it. The clipboard I simply made from a piece of black cardstock, that I added a clip to the top. This clip die is by Sizzix/Tim Holtz - and it's one of those really old, thick dies, that you had to stick to some kind of magnetic tray first. Yes, some of you might remember those dies.... I die cut the clip twice from silver holographic cardstock, added two score lines across one of them and glued both together, putting the glue just between those two score lines.

Between the clips I put a notebook page. I first stamped the lines onto it using grey ink and added the notebook edge to it using an old die by MFT. I ripped out some of the paper between the holes. Behind the notebook paper I put a piece of red cardstock, putting it on a bit slanted.

Between the lines I stamped small texts like "XOXO", "hugs and kisses" and "you're sweet" and some small hearts using light blue ink. I also inked the paper partly with Distress Ink Pumice Stone.

That still looked plain. So I first added  some ink circles with red ink and then came across the Romantic Script Background by MFT. The text fits nearly perfectly onto those lines. To not make the text to prominent I used black ink and did some second generation stamping.

Onto the very first line I stamped "notes" with red ink.

Und das war ich endlich soweit zufrieden, dass das Häschen Vallin zum Einsatz kommen konnte. Das hatte ich übrigens als aller erstes Element der Karte hervorgeholt und dann kam mir die Idee mit dem Clipboard....

Vallin ist mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Als Hintergrund habe ich zwei der Postage Stitch Briefmarken gesetzt - einmal aus weißem und einmal aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt. Auf die obere weiße Briefmarke habe ich dann noch ein hellgraues Stück Designpapier mit einer Art Zeitungsprint aufgeklebt und darauf dann das Motiv gesetzt.

Die Texte sind von MFT und mit schwarzer und roter Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

And then I was finally happy enough to bring out this little bunny. It was actually the very first element I picked for my card, then I had the clipboard idea...

I colored the bunny with Copics and cut it out by hand. As a backdrop I cut one of the Postage Stitch dies from both light blue and white cardstock. Onto the white postage stamp I glued a rectangle that I cut from light grey patterned paper with some kind of newpaper print. Then I put the image on top.

The texts are by MFT and stamped with black and red ink onto white cardstock.

Mir fehlte definitiv noch etwas auf der Karte. Und hier kam dann der nächste "Dino" zum Einsatz: der Stift. Das ist ein Gummistempel von Whiff of Joy - die gibt es doch bestimmt schon fast 10 Jahre nicht mehr, oder? Und die Gummistempel waren ja mit deren erste.... 

Ich habe den Stift dreimal abgestempelt und so coloriert, dass sie wie ein schwarzer, ein roter und ein blauer Stift aussehen. Die habe ich dann zusammen mit einigen kleinen roten Herzen auf der Karte verteilt.

Das Häschen, die Texte und die Stifte sind mit 3D Tape hinterlegt.

There was definately something missing on this card. And that's where the next "dinosaur" - a very old item - came into play: the pen. It's a rubber stamp by Whiff of Joy - and I think, those went out of business about 10 years ago. And their rubber stamps where one of the first ones they sold...

I  stamped  the pen three times and colored them, making them look like a black, a red and a blue one. Then I added those and a few red hearts to the card.

The bunny, the texts and the pens I backed with foam tape.

Männerkarte zum 50. Geburtstag

Ich wurde gebeten eine Männerkarte zu einem 50. Geburtstag zu machen - und das Ergebnis zeige ich Euch heute.

I was asked to make a male card for a 50th birthday - what I came up with I am sharing with you today. 

Wie viele Männer, mag das Geburtstagskind Autos, vor allem Oldtimer. Also habe ich das zum Thema der Karte gemacht.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück beigefarbenen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy und einer Stencil von MFT Strahlen aufgewischt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Unten habe ich quer über die Karte einen breiten Streifen dunkler braunen Cardstocks geklebt, die äußeren Ränder sind ebenfalls mit Brushed Corduroy gewischt. Ich habe hier einen Cardstock von Bazzil mit eingeprägten Punkten verwendet. Ich habe ihn umgedreht, die Punkte sieht man aber trotzdem ein wenig. Aber ich finde, das macht den breiten Streifen interessanter.

Like many men the birthday boy likes cars, especially oldtimers. So I used this as the theme of my  card.

The background is made from a piece of beige cardstock, that I inked some rays onto using Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy and a stencil by MFT. Then I added splatters of white acrylic paint.

At the bottom I glued a wide strip of darker brown cardstock all across the card, again I inked the outer edges with Brushed Corduroy. I used some cardstock by Bazzil here with embossed dots. I turned it face down, but the dots are - lightly - also visible on the back. But I think, that adds some interest to this cardstock strip.

Hauptelement der Karte ist dieser Oldtimer. Ich habe ihn aus rotem, weißem und schwarzem Cardstock sowie silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt und dann einzelne Elemente weggeschnitten. Ich habe alles gelayert, so dass ich zum Schluss ein mehrfarbiges Stanzteil erhalten habe. Den roten Teil habe ich mit Copics schattiert, die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Die Scheinwerfer habe ich außerdem mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Hinter dem Auto befindet sich ein gezackter Kreis, gestanzt aus hell-aqua cardstock. Darauf habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Broken China ebenfalls Strahlen aufgewischt und zwar so, dass sie in der späteren Position des Kreises mit den Strahlen auf dem Hintergrund fortlaufend sind. Auch hier habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Und dann habe ich einige kleine Gemeinheiten als Mini-Texte auf der Karte verteilt. Da ich solche natürlich nicht als Stempel habe, habe ich sie am PC geschrieben und ausgedruckt.

Auch der große Text, den ich unten quer auf den braunen Cardstockstreifen geklebt habe, ist am PC geschrieben.

Main element on this card is this oldtimer. I cut it from red, white and black cardstock and also from silver metallic cardstock and then cut away different elements. I layered all the die cuts to end up with a multi colored card. The red part I shaded with Copics, the highlights are made with a white gel pen. The headlights I covered with Glossy Accents.

Behind the car I placed a spiro circle, cut from light aqua cardstock. Onto it I stenciled some rays again using Distress Ink Broken China, making sure that the rays on the circle and the ones on the background are continouse when the circle is put in place. Again I added splatters of white acrylic paint.

And then I added some "not so kind" mini texts to the card. They mean "built  in 1975", "a bit rusty", "some scratches in the paint" and "a loose screw here and there" (what in german also means that someone is a bit crazy). Of course I don't have these as stamps so I wrote them on my computer and printed them out.

Also the large text ("all in all in a good shape") is printed with my computer, then I glued it onto the brown cardstock strip at the bottom of the card.

Den Kreis und den braunen Cardstockstreifen habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und auch das Auto und die Texte sind mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Dann habe ich den Cardstock auf einen weißen, oben zu faltenden Kartenrohling geklebt.

The circle and the brown cardstock strip I attached with thin foam tape to the background, then also used foam tape behind the car and the texts.

 Then I adhered my card panel to a white top folding note card.

Im Inneren der Karte sollte Platz für ein Geldgeschenk sein - den habe ich dann auch mit dem noch ausstehenden Geburtstagsgruß dekoriert.

Die Tasche ist wieder aus braunem Cardstock geschnitten. Ich habe einfach einen Streifen mit dem Cutter zugeschnitten, an 3 Seiten jeweils bei 0,5 cm und die vierte Seite rund ausgeschnitten.

Auf die obere Innenseite habe ich dann mit Brushed Corduroy wieder Strahlen aufgewischt und die Tasche darauf geklebt.

Dekoriert ist die Tasche mit einem weiteren, kleineren gezackten Kreis. Der ist von außen leicht mit Broken China gewischt, mit einem weißen Gelstift habe ich einen Rahmen aufgemalt. 

Auf den Kreis habe ich erst ein mit der Elegant Folded Banner Stanze aus rotem Cardstock gestanztes

und mit Copics schattiertes Banner geklebt, auf das ich mit weißem Embossingpulver das Wort Birthday aufembosst habe. Das happy habe ich auf ein separates kleines Stück roten Cardstocks embosst. Beide Worte sind aus dem Set Offset Sayings Birthday von LawnFawn.

Über dem Banner habe ich eine 50 angebracht. Die besteht aus einer vollflächigen Lage, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock und mit Broken China eingefärbt, und einer gestreiften Lage obenauf, die ich aus silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt habe. 

 

Inside the card there had to be something to put some money in - and so I decorated this pocket with the still missing birthday greeting.

The pocket I made from brown cardstock again. I simply cut a strip with my paper cutter, scored three sides at 0,5 cm and inwards rounded the fourth side.

Onto the inner top of my card base I lightly inked some rays with Brushed Corduroy again and glued the pocket on top.

I decorated the pocket with another, this time smaller spiro circle. I lightly inked it from the outside with Broken China and drew a frame with a white gel pen.

Onto the circle I first adhered a banner, cut using the Elegant Folded Banner by MFT from red cardstock and shaded with Copics. Then I white heat embossed the word birthday onto it. The word happy I embossed onto a separate little piece of red carstock. Both stamps are from Offset Sayings Birthday by LawnFawn.

Above the banner I added a die cut 50. It's made from a solid layer, cut from white cardstock and inked with Broken China, and a stripey layer on top, that I cut from silver metallic cardstock.

 

 Auch auf die Strahlen habe ich im Inneren übrigens wieder weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt, auf die Tasche habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift ebenfalls einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

Und ich weiß, dass die Farben und Designs der Karte eher an die 50er erinnern, aber die 70er waren so bunt, da wäre wohl jedes Motiv untergegangen. Also habe ich mich hierfür entschieden.

Again I splattered white acrylic paint onto the rays on the inside and drew a frame with a white gel pen onto the pocket.

And I know, colorwise this card is more like the 50ies than the 70ies, but those were so colorful, I was afraid that any image would get lost. So I went with these instead.

Heute zeige ich Euch eine Karte, die sehr wohl als Valentinstagskarte aber auch als Karte zu allen möglichen anderen Anlässen passt.

Today I am sharing with you a card, that could be a valentine's card but also works for all kind of occasions.

Mit dem Januar-Release hat WaffleFlower die Open Book Stanze herausgebracht - und für Bücher bin ich immer zu haben! Und da die Schrift, die hier in die Seiten eingestanzt ist, eine extra Stanze im Set ist, kann man das Buch auch noch wunderbar vielseitig einsetzen. Auf jeden Fall war dieses Buch der Ideengeber für meine Karte.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück dunkelgrünen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit weißer Tinte den Romantic Script Background von MFT aufgestempelt habe. Eigentlich wollte ich auch noch etwas Farbe aufspritzen, aber das habe ich dann während des Bastelns irgendwie wieder vergessen.

Da später, als ich das Buch auf den Hintergrund gelegt habe, irgendwie etwas Kontrast fehlte, habe ich auf den Hinterrund ein Stück Vellum gelegt, um ihn hinter dem Buch etwas abzuschwächen.

With the january release WaffleFlower released the Open Book die - and you can always count me in if books are involved. Since the font, that's cut into the pages here, is an extra die in the set you can use this book die very versatile. Well, this book was the inspiration for my card.

The background is made from a piece of dark green cardstock, onto which I've stamped the Romantic Script Background by MFT with white ink. I also had planned to add some paint splatters, but while making the card I somehow forgot about it.

Later, when I put the book onto the background, the card was missing some contrast so I cut a piece of vellum a bit smaller than the background and put that onto the background to soften it a bit.

Das Buch besteht aus mehreren Lagen - das Cover habe ich aus taupe-farbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Scorched Timber schattiert. Darauf befinden sich drei Lagen Buchseiten - alle aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Lost Shadow schattiert. In die oberste Lage habe ich die Texte eingeprägt. Außerdem habe ich die Buchseiten ein wenig gebogen, sie dann an der Mittellinie jeweils direkt aufeinander geklebt und am Rand zwischen den Seiten einen Streifen dünnen 3D Tapes eingefügt. So bekommt das Buch eine tolle Tiefe. 

Vor dem Aufkleben der Seiten habe ich noch ein Stück grünes Band an die Rückseite der hintersten Lage geklebt und später als Lesezeichen über die oberste Buchseite nach unten gezogen.

 

The book is made from several layers - the cover I die cut from taupe colored cardstock and shaded it with Distress Ink Scorched Timber. On top I put three layers of pages - all cut from white cardstock and shaded with Lost Shadow. Into the top layer I cut the text/script. I also rounded the pages a bit, then adhered them directly onto each other along the middle line, along the side edges I put pieces of thin foam tape. This way it gets a nice and realistic shape.

Before glueing the pages to the cover I taped a piece of green ribbon to the back of the bottom pages and later glued it down the top layer as a bookmark.

 

Ganz von Anfang an als ich die Stanze sah, hatte ich eine auf dem Buch liegende Rose vor Augen. Ich habe hier die Lovely Layers Rose von HoneyBeeStamps benutzt. Nun ist die Rose, verglichen zum Buch, recht groß, und so ist das Buch wohl eher ein Notizbuch. Aber ich finde die Karte trotzdem stimmig.

Da ich ja die Farbkombi rot-grün nicht wirklich mag, wollte ich auch keine rote Rose aufkleben. Außerdem ist die Karte mit weißer/cremefarbener Rose viel vielseitiger einsetzbar. Ich habe die Blütenblätter - zwei der Lagen der Blüte habe ich einfach weggelassen - aus immer dunkler werdenden Cardstock von weiß zu hellgelb gestanzt und mit Antique Linen schattiert. Stiel und Blätter sind aus drei verschiedenen Grüntönen gestanzt und mit grünen Tinten - Rustic Wilderness sowie zwei weitere Grüntöne verschiedener Hersteller - schattiert. Dann habe ich Polychromos genommen und einige Details auf die Blume aufgemalt und sie dann zusammengeklebt. Dabei habe ich die Teile jeweils nur punktuell zusammengeklebt und konnte so die Blätter und Blütenteile ebenfalls ein wenig biegen damit die Rose nicht so flach wirkt.

Right when I saw the die I had a rose laying on top of it in mind. I used the Lovely Layers Rose by HoneyBeeStamps here. Compared to the book the rose is pretty large and so the book seems more like a little note book. But I still think, the design works.

Since I don't really like the color combo of red and green I didn't want to make a red rose. And with the white/cream rose the card can be used for several occasions. I cut the petals - I left out two of the layers here - from cardstock ranging from white to light yellow and shaded them with Antique Linen. Stem and leaves are cut from three different shades of green cardstock and inked with green inks - Rustic Wilderness and two other colors from different brands. Then I used Polychromos to add some details to the flower parts, then put the rose together. I only glued the pieces together in a few small spots and then was able to bend the petals and leaves up at their top edges to give the flower some dimension.

Für den Text habe ich die Love Ornament Stanze von HeroArts benutzt und den Kreis rund um den Text herum weggeschnitten. Auch den Text habe ich aus taupefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und wieder vier Lagen aufeinander geklebt, damit das Wort schön stabil ist. Es liegt ja nur unter dem O sowie teilweise dem L und V auf dem Buch auf, da die Seiten ja gebogen sind.

Ebenso habe ich die Feder aus dem Open Book Set gestaltet. Sie besteht aus vier Lagen hellgrauen Cardstocks, die Details sind mit Polychromos aufgemalt.

Das Wort Sending ist mit weißer Tinte auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock gestanzt. Ich wollte unbedingt ein "sending" in Schreibschrift. Diese hier aus dem Set Hedgehugs von LawnFawn war das erste, das mir in die Hände fiel. 

For the text I used the Love Ornament die by HeroArts and cut off the circle around the word. Again I cut the word from taupe colored cardstock and again I stacked four layers to make the word pretty stable. It's only laying on the book pages with the O and partly the L and V, because the pages are rounded.

The feather from Open Book I created the same way. It's made from four layers of light grey cardstock, the details I drew on with Polychromos.

The word sending is stamped with white ink onto dark green cardstock. I really wanted one in a scripty font here, the one from Hedgehugs by LawnFawn was the first one in my stash I came across.

Durch die vielen Lagen hat die Karte an sich ja schon jede Menge Dimension, deswegen habe ich auf Foam Tape - außer dem zwischen den Buchseiten - verzichtet. 

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar kleine champagner-farbene Herz-Konfetti auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

With all those layers the card is already pretty thick, so I didn't add any foam tape - except the one between the book pages.

I added a few champagne colored heart confetti to the card and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Eine Karte zum Führerschein

Heute zeige ich Euch eine Karte, die ich zur bestandenen Führerscheinprüfung gemacht habe.

Today I am sharing with you card I made for someone who just got his driver's license.

Der Hintergrund ist mit dem Comic Book Page Stempel von WhimsyStamps gemacht. Ich habe ihn schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit der passenden Outline-Stanze das Fenster innen ausgestanzt. 

Dann habe ich mit Masking Tape die Teile des Hintergrunds abgeklebt, die ich später colorieren wollte und den restlichen Hintergrund komplett mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina eingefärbt.

Die zuvor maskierten Elemente habe ich dann mit Copics rot und gelb coloriert.

The background is made with the Comic Book Page stamp by WhimsyStamps. I stamped it black onto white cardstock and used the matching outline die to cut out the window.

Then I masked off all the areas I wanted to color later and inked the background completly with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina.

I took off the masks and colored the remaining areas red and yellow. 

Hinter dem Fenster befindet sich ein weiteres, etwas größeres Stück weißen Cardstocks. In den Bereich, der durch das Fenster zu sehen ist, habe ich erst die Skyline aus BAM You're Old von WhimsyStamps gestempelt. Dann habe ich den Bereich mit Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade gewischt und mit Mustard Seed den Rays Slimline-Stempel von ImpressionObsession gestempelt. Mit der selben Farbe habe ich auch den Rand des Cardstocks dunkelgelb eingefärbt.

Natürlich musste ein Auto auf die Karte. Ich habe hier das Lovely Layeres Pedal Car von HoneyBeeStamps verwendet - ich fand, das passt super zum Retro-Comic-Look des Hintergrunds. Die roten Teile habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Candied Apple, Barn Door, Fired Brick und ein wenig Ground Espresso eingefärbt. Einige Elemente habe ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt. 

Und ich fand, in dem Auto muss ein Fahrer sitzen. Ich habe mich für die kleinen Bären aus Car Critters von LawnFawn entschieden, der passte ganz gut von der Größe. Allerdings musste ich ihn per Mirror Stamping umdrehen, so dass er in die richtige Richtung schaut. 

Die zusätzlichen Texte sind aus dem Set Car Critters Road Trip Add-On von LawnFawn und einfach schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Behind the window I put another, slightly larger piece of white cardstock. Onto the area behind the window I first stamped the skyline from BAM You're Old by WhimsyStamps. Then I inked the area with Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade and used Mustard Seed and the Rays Slimline stamp by ImpressionObsession to stamp the rays behind the houses. I used the same color to ink just the edges of that larger piece of white cardstock.

Of course there had to be a car on my card. I went with the Lovely Layers Pedal Car by HoneyBeeStamps here - I think it goes great with the retro comic look of the background. I die cut the red parts from white cardstock and inked them with Distress Ink Candied Apple, Barn Door, Fired Brick and a bit of Ground Espresso. I also cut some of the elements from matte silver metallic cardstock.

I found that there had to be a driver in the car. I decided to use the little bear from Car Critters by LawnFawn, it was pretty good in size. I just had to do some mirror stamping to make it face the other, right direction.

The additional texts are from Car Critters Road Trip Add-On by LawnFawn and simply stamped black on white cardstock.

Den Comic Book Hintergrund habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Cardstock mit der aufgestempelten Skyline geklebt und dann dickes 3D Tape hinter das Auto und die Texte gesetzt.

Zum Schluss kam alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling.

I used thin foam tape to adhere the comic book background to the cardstock with the stamped on skyline, the car and texts I backed with thick foam tape.

Then I adhered my card panel to a white note card.

Heute habe ich eine Valentinstagskarte in rot und rosa für Euch.

Hello everyone!

Today I have a red an pink valentine's card to share with you.

Die Karte besteht aus zwei Teilen: einem Rahmen mit Folie oben und darunter ein weiterer Rahmen mit dem Motiv.

Der Rahmen ist mit zwei der Rectangle Stitch Stanzen von Stampcorner aus rotem Cardstock gemacht. Ich habe ihn insgesamt drei mal ausgestanzt, zwei davon für die obere Lage aufeinander geklebt und dabei Folie zwischengelegt. 

Den dritten Rahmen habe ich mit einem gefalteten Cardstockstreifen oben an die beiden anderen Rahmen geklebt.

The card is made from two parts: a frame with acetate as the top layer and under it another frame with the image.

I die cut the frames with two of the Rectangle Stitch dies by Stampcorner. I cut three of it from red cardstock and glued two of them together, putting a piece of acetate in between. 

I created a hinge from a piece of red cardstock and used it to connect the two top frames with the single one.

 

Auf die Folie habe ich dann einige Texte geklebt, so dass man das Motiv dahinter nicht komplett sehen kann, wenn die Karte geschlossen ist. Und der Text ist so eindeutig, diese Karte geht wirklich nur für Valentinstag.

Aus rotem und schwarzem Cardstock habe ich jeweils die Zahlen 1 und 4 mit dem Zahlen-Stanzenset ausgestanzt und leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. 

Die Texte sind jeweils schwarz auf weißen Cardstock geklebt. Ich habe einmal das Wort February gestempelt, der Text "I Hope You're Showered with Love" ist aus dem Stempelset Sprinkling You With Love von MFT. Dabei habe ich zwei Texte kombiniert, um diesen zu erhalten. Von dem with habe ich noch das th abgestempelt, um es hinter das 14 zu setzen.

I adhered some texts to the acetate so you can't see the image on the inside fully when the card is closed. And this text is so special, this card will really only word for valentine's.

From red and black cardstock I but the numbers 1 and 4 and stacked them a bit offset.

The texts are stamped black onto white cardstock. I stamped the word februrary, the text "I hope you're showered with love" is from Sprinkling you with Love by MFT. I combined two texts to get the one I wanted. And from the word with I also stamped just the th and put it behind the numbers.

Die Zahlen sind direkt auf die Folie geklebt, hinter die Texte habe ich 3D Tape gesetzt.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige Perlen auf die Folie geklebt.

The numbers are glued directly onto the acetate, the texts I backed with foam tape.

As decoration I added a few light pink pearls.

Öffnet man die Karte, sieht man die komplette Szene: Hier steht Mia aus dem gleichnamigen Stempelset im dicken Herzenregen.

Hinter den roten Rahmen habe ich hier ein Stück weißen Cardstocks gesetzt, den ich mit Distress Ink Spun Sugar eingefärbt habe. Dann habe ich mit roter Tinte den Hearts Hintergrund aufgestempelt. Außerdem habe ich etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

When you open the card you can see the whole scene: there's Mia from the Mia stamp set, standing in a shower of hearts.

Behind the red frame I put a piece of white cardstock, that I had inked with Distress Ink Spun Sugar. Then I stamped the Hearts background onto it using red ink. I also added splatters of white acrylic paint.

Mia habe ich mit Copics coloriert und dann per Hand ausgeschnitten. Als Boden habe ich einen der Oval Shadows von MFT aus pinkfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt.

Unter das Motiv habe ich dann noch ein "happy valentine's day" aus dem Itty Bitty Love Stempelset von MFT gesetzt und es so aufgeklebt, dass es bei geschlossener Karte von einem der Texte auf der Kartenvorderseite verdeckt ist. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I colored Mia with Copics and cut her out by hand. As a ground I die cut one of the Oval Shadows by MFT from pink cardstock.

Under the image I adhered a "happy valentine's day" from Itty Bitty Love by MFT, making sure it is covered by one of the texts on the card front when the card is closed.

Then I adhered my card panel to a white note card.

SSS Instagram Challenge

Vor kurzem habe ich entdeckt, dass es von Simon Says Stamp eine monatliche Challenge auf IG gibt. Das Thema diesen Monat ist "white on white". Und weil ich gerade eine Geburtstagskarte brauchte, habe ich das Thema doch gleich umgesetzt.

I just found out, that Simon Says Stamp has a monthly challenge on IG. The theme this month is "white on white". And since I needed  a birthday card, I made a card for the challenge.

Das Thema passte hier perfekt - es gibt da diese Freundin, bei der einfach alles weiß sein muss. Ich selbst liebe weiß ebenso, vor allem bei der Einrichtung, aber ein wenig pimpen mit anderen/dunklen Tönen möchte ich es dann doch.... Das gleiche gilt für meine Karten. Rein weiß ist ja dann doch nicht ganz so einfach, man kann eben nicht einfach mit einer anderen Farbe Kontrast auf die Karte bringen. Aber ich bin mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden - und wie man hier sieht, ist weiß nicht gleich weiß. Die "weißen" Cardstocks, die ich habe, hatten alle einen leicht unterschiedlichen Ton. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Winter Foral Mix Background von SimonSaysStamp mit weißem Embossingpulver auf weißen Cardstock embosst. Die großen Beeren habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen, außerdem habe ich ein wenig weiße Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Hauptelement der Karte ist der Text. 

Mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT habe ich ein großes H und ein B ausgestanzt, beide bestehen jeweils aus zwei Lagen. Die habe ich dann leicht überlappend aufeinander geklebt. Die restlichen Buchstaben für das Wort happy - ebenfalls wieder zwei Lagen - habe ich aus kleinen Buchstaben gestanzt, der Rest des Wortes Birthday ist mit der Happy Birthday Stanze von MFT gemacht. Das besteht aus vier Lagen. Als i-Punkt habe ich ein kleines weißes Herz verwendet.

Hier sieht man recht gut, wie unterschiedlich die "weißen" Cardstocks verschiedener Marken sind.

Aus Vellum  habe ich einen gezackten Kreis gestanzt und darauf den Text arrangiert. 

Als Deko habe ich noch einige Schneeglöckchen-Blüten aus dem Lovely Layers Mini Holiday Florals von HoneyBeeStamps ausgestanzt - die passen jetzt zum Winterende ganz gut. Und ja, ich weiß, dass ich mir das mit dem Winterende etwas schönrede, der bleibt uns schon noch ein wenig erhalten...  Ich habe beide Cardstocktöne und für die Blumenmitten weißen Glitter-Cardstock benutzt. So heben sich die verschiedenen Lagen etwas voneinander ab. 

Außerdem habe ich mit einem Stanzenset von Charlie und Paulchen noch die Zahlenstecker 5 und 7 ausgestanzt - die Zahlen an sich habe ich nochmal aus dem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt.

Main element on my card is the text.

I used the Impact Alphabet by MFT to die cut a large H and B, both are made from two layers. I glued those together a bit overlapping. The other letters for the word happy I die cut with a small alphabet (again two layers), the rest of the word birthday is made with the Happy Birthday die by MFT. This one I made from four layers. As the tittle of the i I used a small clay heart.

Here you can see pretty good how different those "white" cardstocks from different brands are. 

From vellum I die cut a spiro circle and arranged my text on it.

As decoration I die cut some snowdrops from the Lovely Layers Mini Holiday Florals by HoneyBeeStamps, skipping the stems. I think, those are great now that winter comes to an end. And I know, I am glossing this over, winter will be here for quite some time.... I used both white cardstock tones here and white glitter cardstock for the flower centers. This way the different layers are noticable a bit better.

I also used a die set by Charlie und Paulchen to die cut number picks with a 5 and a  7 - just the numbers I cut again from white glitter cardstock.

Hinter zwei der Schneeglöckchen habe ich dünnes bzw. dickes 3D Tape gesetzt.

Mit einem klaren Glitter-Gelstift habe ich Higlights auf die Buchstaben sowie einen Rahmen auf den Hintergrund gemalt. Als Deko kamen noch einige weitere weiße Herzen zum Einsatz.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles mit 3D Tape auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I backed two of the snowdrops with thin/thick foam tape.

Using a clear glitter gel pen I drew highlights onto the letters and a frame onto the background. As decoration I added a few more of the white clay hearts.

Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card using foam tape.

LawnFawnatics Challenge #189

Heute zeige ich Euch eine weitere Karte, auf der ich das Little Letter Set von LawnFawn benutzt habe. Die Karte ist für die neue LawnFawnatics Challenge mit dem Thema "lots of heart" entstanden.

Today I am sharing with you another card that I used the Little Letter by LawnFawn for. I made it for the new LawnFawnatics Challenge with the theme "lots of heart".

Der Hintergrund hier ist mit der Quilted Hearts Backdrop Stanze gemacht. Davon habe ich nur die Portrait Variante, mit Partial Diecutting kann man den aber ganz einfach passend für eine querformatige Karte stanzen. Das habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht und mit rotem Cardstock hinterlegt.

The background is made with the Quilted Hearts Backdrop die. I only have the portrait version of this die but with partial diecutting it can easily be used for a landscape oriented card. I cut it from white cardstock and put some red cardstock behind it.

Den Brief - oder eher die Briefmarke? - habe ich viermal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und von außen her jeweils mit Distress Oxide Spun Sugar gewischt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem silbernen Metallic-Gelstift jeweils einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

Auf drei der Briefe habe ich Buchstaben gesetzt um - zusammen mit der Schoko-Erdbeere auf dem vierten Brief - das Wort Love zu schreiben. Die Buchstaben sind mit dem Henry's ABCs Stanzenset gemacht und bestehen jeweils aus einer dunkelbraunen und einer rosafarbenen Lage, die ich leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt habe.

Die Schoko-Erdbeere ist aus dem Set Sweet Strawberry und mit Copics coloriert. Die Schokolade habe ich außerdem dick mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

The letter - or is it a postage stamp? - I die cut four times from white cardstock and inked the edges lightly with Distress Oxide Spun Sugar. I also drew a frame with a silver metallic gel pen onto each of the letters.

Onto three of the letters I glued letters to write the word Love - completed with the chocolate strawberry as the O. I die cut each letter with Henry's ABCs from dark brown and pink cardstock and stacked them a bit offset. 

The chocolate strawberry is from Sweet Strawberry and colored with Copics. The chocolate I also covered with a thick layer of Glossy Accents.

Nur für den Brief mit der Erdbeere habe ich aus Vellum ein Kuvert, ebenfalls mit einer Stanze aus dem Set Little Letter, gestanzt und den Brief ein Stückchen hineingeschoben. 

Alle Briefe habe ich dann in einer Linie auf den Hintergrund geklebt und sie mit einigen Herzen, gestanzt aus rotem Cardstock mit einer Stanze aus dem Heart Garland Backdrop Landscape Set, dekoriert. 

Der Text ist aus dem Set Sweet Strawberry und weiß auf roten Cardstock embosst.

Und als weitere Deko habe ich "normale" Erdbeeren aus dem Set How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On auf der Karte verteilt. Denen habe ich beim Colorieren jeweils eine noch grüne Seite gegeben, so dass nur die Schoko-Erdbeere richtig rot - und süß - ist.

Außerdem habe ich noch den Füller aus dem Set Little Letter gestanzt und mit auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Only for the letter with the strawberry I die cut the envelope from Little Letter from vellum and tucked the letter inside a bit.

I arranged all letters in one row on the background and decorated them with little hearts, die cut from red cardstock using a die from Heart Garland Backdrop Landscape.

The text is from Sweet Strawberry and white heat embossed onto red cardstock.

For the rest of my decorations I stamped a few of the strawberries from How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On and colored each of them with a small still green and unripe spot. So the chocolate covered strawberry is the only really ripe - and sweet - one.

I also die cut the fountain pen from Little Letter and glued it onto the background.

Natürlich kam beim Zusammenkleben der Karte wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz.

Rund um den weißen Cardstock habe ich ebenfalls einen silbernen Rahmen gemalt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Of course I used foam tape again to put the card together.

I drew a silver frame onto the white background as well and then adhered it to a white note card.
