Noch eine Hochzeitskarte

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine weitere Hochzeitskarte - die blau und cremefarbene, die ich Euch vor ein paar Tagen gezeigt habe, hat nicht gepasst. Und wenn ich daraus vielleicht gelernt habe, in Zukunft auf die Angabe bestimmter Parameter zu bestehen, bin ich doch absolut fein damit. Die andere Karte lässt sich relativ einfach abwandeln, so dass ich sie nicht umsonst gemacht habe. Und ich mag sie total gerne. 

 Hier ist also die "Ersatz"-Karte.

Today I am sharing another wedding card with you - the blue and cream one, I shared with you a few days ago, didn't fit. And even if I learned from that, that next time I will insist on getting at least a few parameters they want on a card, I am totally fine with it. The other one is pretty easy to change so I didn't make it for nothing. And I really like it.

Here's the "replacement".

 

Nachhdem ich ein Foto des Brautpaares von der standesamtlichen Hochzeit gesehen hatte, habe ich den pastelligen, leicht herbstlichen Brautstrauß für meine Karte aufgegriffen. Und auch das Kleid der Braut war in einem sanften altrosa und weiß. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit dem Feather Spiral Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp embosst und anschließen für ein wenig Glitter Clear PixieDust von InkOn3 aufgespritzt. 

 

After I had seen a picture of the bride and groom from their wedding at the townhouse - here in Germany you have to do that, most of the times it's just a small party afterwards. On another day they have a real ceremony and a big party. After seeing that picture I decided to pick up the soft, just a bit fall-ish colors and flowers from the wedding bouquet. And also the bride's dress for that day was a soft, smokey pink and white. 

For the background I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Feather Spiral embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp and for just a hint of glitter splattered some Clear PixieDust by InkOn3 on top.

 

 Für die Deko habe ich dann mit den Essential Arches von Spellbinders einen "Bogen" aus hellgrünem Cardstock sowie, mit zwei weiteren Dies aus dem Nesting-Set gemacht, einen bogenförmigen Rahmen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt.

Den grünen Cardstock habe ich von unten her etwas schattiert und mit 3D Tape den weißen Rahmen daraufgeklebt.

Für die Blumendeko habe ich Blütenstanzen jeder Menge verschiedener Hersteller kombiniert. Alle Teile habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich sie am linken und am unteren Rand des weißen Bogens aufgeklebt. 

In das Fenster im Bogen kamen dann die Initialen des Brautpaares. Die Buchstaben sind mit Stanzen von ScrapbookCom gemacht, das Ampersand ist von Create a Smile. Und weil das Fenster noch ein wenig nackig aussah, habe ich noch die vollen Namen des Brautpaares mit dem Dymo in durchsichtiges Band geprägt, auf weißen Cardstock geklebt und quer über den Initialen angebracht.

Unter den Initialen habe ich ein Banner mit einem "zur Hochzeit" angebracht, dessen linkes Ende ich unter die Blumen geschoben habe. Das Banner habe ich, genauso wie die Buchstaben, aus weißem Perlmutt-Cardstock gestanzt und dann den Text von Kulricke silber aufembosst. 

Mit einem silbernen Gelstift habe ich eine Linie auf den weißen Rahmen und innerhalb des Rahmens auf den grünen Cardstock eine weiße Linie aufgemalt.

 

For the decorations I used the Essential Arches by Spellbinders to die cut an arch from light green cardstock and, using two smaller dies from this nesting set, an arch-shaped frame from white cardstock. 

I inked the green cardstock from the bottom up with a slightly darker shade of green, then adhered the white frame on top using foam tape.

For the flower decorations I combined flower dies from a lot of different brands. I die cut all pieces from white cardstock and colored  them with Copics. Then I glued them onto the left and bottom of the white frame.

Into the window, inside the frame, I added the initials of the bride and groom. I die cut the letters with dies by ScrapbookCom, the ampersand is by Create a Smile. And since the window still looked a bit plain I used my old-fashioned Dymo to write the full names of the couple onto/into clear tape, glued them onto white cardstock and put them across the initials.

Under the letters I added a bannner with a "for your wedding" text, the left end I tucked under the flowers. The banner, and also the initials, I die cut from white shimmer cardstock and silver heat embossed the text onto it.  

I used a silver gel pen to draw a line onto the white frame and a white gel pen to add a line inside the frame, onto the green cardstock.

 

 Irgendwie fehlte auf der Karte ein richtiger Glückwunsch-Text und ich fand, dass ihr auch ein Quer-Element gut tun würde. Also habe ich einen weiteren Text, gemacht mit Stempeln von Kulricke, ebenfalls silber auf hellgrünen Cardstock embosst. Den habe ich dann bannerförmig zugeschnitten und ein wenig dunkler schattiert. Dann habe ich ihn unter dem Bogen auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

The card was missing a real greeting and I also thought, that the design needed a vertical element. So I silver heat embossed an "best wishes for your future" onto a strip of light green cardstock. I cut that into a banner shape and lightly shaded it with the green ink. Then I glued it onto the card, placing it under the arch.

 

 Auch hinter den Blumen und dem Textbanner befindet sich jeweils 3D Tape. Rund um die Blumen habe ich einige weiße Perlen als Deko aufgeklebt.

Ich habe den embossten und dekorierten Cardstock hellgrün gemattet und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put foam tape also behind the text banner and the flowers. Around the flowers I added some white pearls as decoration.

I matted the embossed and decorated card panel with light green cardstock and then glued it onto a white card base.

Heute habe ich eine Karte mit Weihnachtstruck für Euch, die auch die Form eines PickUps hat.

Today I have a  christmas truck card to share with you, that's also the shape of a pickup truck.

 

Ende September hat Pink and Main eine Stanze für eine Box-Card im PickUp-Look herausgebracht. Und das hat mich daran erinnert, dass ich diesen riesigen Stempel habe. Der dürfte doch auch perfekt für eine Weihnachtskarte sein. Und da ich Box Cards gar nicht so gerne möchte, habe ich einfach eine flache, aber gelayerte Karte gemacht.

 

End of september Pink and Main release a box card die in the shape of a pickup truck. That reminded me of that large pickup truck stamp I have. It should work great for a christmas card, too. And since I don't like box cards that much I made a flat but layered card.

Ich habe den PickUp Tailgate von HoneyBeeStamps benutzt. Der ist wirklich riesig. Es gibt ihn auch von vorne, ich habe beide, und die Outline-Stanze passt auf beide Automotive. Die habe ich verwendet, um die Grundform des Autos aus schwarzem Cardstock zu stanzen. 

Den Truck habe ich mehrfach abgestempelt und später gelayert. Dabei habe ich einmal das komplette Auto  und einmal die Ladefläche auf hell-türkisfarbenen Cardstock, die Stoßstange auf hellgrauen und den Unterboden samt Reifen auf dunkelgrauen Cardstock gestempelt. Die Spiegel, das Nummernschild und die Leuchten habe ich noch extra auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Zum Abstempeln habe ich erst NoLine Ink von InkOn3 benutzt und nach dem Colorieren jeweils noch eine farblich zum Cardstock passende Tinte verwendet und die Outlines nochmal drübergestempelt. Teilweise hatte ich da nichts, das Copic geeignet ist. Deswegen habe ich es so gelöst. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics benutzt.

I used the PickUp Tailgate image by HoneyBeeStamps. It's a really big image. It's also available with the car shown from the front - I have both - and the outline die works with both stamp sets. I used it to cut the base shape of the car from black cardstock. 

I stamped the truck several times and layerd it later. I stamped the whole car and then just the bed onto light aqua, the bumper onto light grey and the bottom and tires onto dark grey cardstock. The mirrors, lights and license plate I stamped onto white cardstock. I first used the NoLine Ink by InkOn3 to stamp the images, after coloring them I used an ink color matching the cardstock to stamp the outlines on top. I didn't have Copic friendly colors for all of the colors I wanted to use so I did it this way. For the coloring I used Copics.

 

 Die Ladefläche des Trucks ist mit einem Weihnachtsbaum und Geschenken gefüllt. Die Motive sind alle aus dem Lovely Layers Beach Bound Holiday Add-On von HoneyBeeStamps, ebenso der Kranz, und die Lichtrkette, mit denen das Auto geschmückt ist. 

Auch hier habe ich alle Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. 

Die Deko des Tannenbaums und des Kranzes ist aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock und silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock gemacht. In den Kranz habe ich eine kleine Glocke gehängt, die ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt habe. 

 In das Nummernschild habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte ein XMAS aus dem Henry's Build a Sentiment Winter Stempelset von LawnFawn gestempelt. 

Ich habe alle Motivteile genau an der gestempelten Outline ausgeschnitten und dann das Auto zusammengesetzt.

 

The bed of the truck is filled with a christmas tree and presents. The images are all from Lovely Layers Beach Bound Holiday AddOn by HoneyBeeStamps, so are the wreath and the string of lights that the truck is decorated with.

Again I die cut all pieces from colored cardstock and shaded them with Copics. 

The decoration on the tree I cut from silver glitter and silver metallic cardstock. Into the wreath I've hung a little bell, cut from matte silver metallic cardstock. 

Onto the license plate I stamped a XMAS from Henry's Bild a Sentiment Winter stamp set by LawnFawn using black ink.

I cut out all the images and small pieces right along the stamped outlines and then put the car together.

 

 Erinnert Ihr Euch an die Trifold Card, die ich Euch vor einiger Zeit gezeigt habe, mit der Laterne auf einer der Seiten und wie ich bemerkt habe, dass ich doch tatsächlich keine Laterne in richtiger Größe hatte? Ich glaube, ich hatte auch gesagt, dass gerade schon etwas passendes auf dem Weg zu mir ist. Nun, hier ist sie. Sie wollte doch unbedingt gleich mit auf diese Karte. Also habe ich hinter dem Auto noch eine Laterne aufgestellt. Die lockert auch die Form etwas auf. 

Die Laterne ist aus dem Set Laterne für Bank. Ich habe sie aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und wieder schattiert. Hinter das Glas oben habe ich weißen Cardstock, leicht helltürkis schattiert, gesetzt. Und dekoriert habe ich die Laterne ebenfalls mit einem Kranz, der auch im Laternen-Stanzenset enthalten ist.

Der Wegweiser zum Nordpol, den ich in den Kranz gesteckt habe, ist wieder aus dem Lovely Layers Beach Bound Christmas AddOn Set. 

 

Do you remember the trifold card I shared with you a little ago, the one with the lantern on one of the layers? And how I mentioned, that I didn't have  a lantern die large enough? I think, I also mentioned, that I already ordered one to change that situation. Well, here it is. And I wanted to go on this card right away. So I put up a lantern behind the car, that also breaks up the shape of the card.

The lantern is from Laterne für Bank by CreativeDepot. I cut it from dark grey cardstock and shaded it with Copics again. Behind the glass at the top of the lantern I put some white cadstock that I shaded a very soft aqua. And I decorated the lantern with another wreath, that comes in the lantern die set. 

The road sign to north pole, that I tucked into the wreath, is again from Lovely Layers  Beach Bound Christmas AddOn.

 

 Zum Zusammensetzen des Autos habe ich 3D Tape zwischen die einzelnen Lagen gesetzt, um ihm Tiefe zu geben. Die Lichter, das Glas der Laterne und die Spiegel des Autos habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Nach dem Zusammenkleben der Karte habe ich dann alle Teile mit Schnee überzogen. Ich habe einfach mit einem kleinen Spachtel weiße Schneepaste auf alle Teile aufgetupft. 

Die Stoßstange und das Metall der Laterne habe ich außerdem mit einem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert. 

 

When putting the car together I put foam tape between the layers to give it some dimension. The lights, the glass of the lantern and the mirrors I covered with Glossy Accents. 

After putting the car together I covered everything with snow. I simply used a  small palette knife to dab snow paste onto the pieces.

The bumper and the metall of the lantern I also glittered up with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen.

 

 Mit der bereits erwähnten Outline-Stanze habe ich dann die Form des Autos aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und das Auto obenauf geklebt. 

Mit derselben Stanze  habe ich dann auch aus weißem Cardstock eine oben gefaltete Karte in Form des Autos gemacht. Ich habe die Stanze so auf den gefalteten Cardstock gelegt, dass das Dach der Stanze ein wenig übersteht. 

Auf die weiße Karte habe ich dann erst die Laterne aufgeklebt. Damit sie schön stabil steht habe ich sie mit zwei weiteren Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks hinterlegt. Um diese Höhe auszugleichen, habe ich dann das das Auto samt schwarzer Grundform mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. So steht das Auto dann auch sicher und gibt auch ein schönes Deko-Objekt ab.

 

With the outline die, that I already mentioned, I die cut the shape of the car from black cardstock and glued the colored car onto it.

I used the same die to create a top folding car-shaped card base from white cardstock.  I put the die onto the folded cardstock, letting the top go over the edge of the cardstock.

I first glued the lantern onto the white card base. To make sure it's not bending over I backed it with two more lanterns cut from black cardstock. To balance out the thickenss of the lantern I used thin foam tape to adhere the car including the black back layer. Now the car can stand up nicely and also makes a great decoration.

Holiday Old and New - so lautet das Thema der neuen LawnFawnatics Challenge. Alte und neue Sets zu kombinieren mache ich ja super gern, und so kam mir auch recht schnell eine Idee für meinen Beitrag.

Es war schon längst mal wieder Zeit, die kleinen Mäuse von LawnFawn auf das nächste Abenteuer zu schicken. Auf meiner heutigen Karten könnt Ihr sehen, was sie diesmal treiben.

Holiday Old and New - that's the theme of the newest LawnFawnatics challenge. I love to mix those older and newer products and so it only took me a little bit to get an idea for my entry. 

It was about time to sent the little LawnFawn mice on another adventure. You can see what they are up to on today's card. 

 

Vor ein paar Tagen waren die Mäuse im verschneiten Wald unterwegs und haben diesen versteckten Pfad gefunden, der mit Zuckerstangen und Lichterketten gesäumt war. Die Bäume entlang des Pfades waren mit Christbaumkugeln geschmückt. Neugierig, wie sie sind, sind sie dem Pfad ein Stück gefolgt und standen auf einmal vor einem Wegweiser zum Nordpol.  Da kam ihnen die Idee, eine Expedition zum Nordpol und natürlich Santa zu machen und ihn zur Abwechslung mal mit einem Geschenk zu überraschen. Er freut sich sicher, auch mal eines zu bekommen, anstatt sie immer nur zu verteilen.

Ich habe hier ein Stück blauen Cardstock genommen und den oberen Bereich mit Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire und ein wenig Black Soot gewischt. 

Ich habe den Village Hillside Border aus weißem Cardstock  gestanzt, die Häuser weggeschhnitten und die Hügel mit den Bäumen zerteilt. Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann die Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders und auch die mittlere Größe der Stitched Simple Wavy Borders ausgestanzt. Außerdem habe ich noch einige größere Tannenbäume aus den Sets Merry Mice, Sweet Christmas und Snow Bunnies abgestempelt. Die Bäume habe ich mit Copics coloriert, die Schneehügel mit Blautönen leicht schattiert. 

Mit rotem Enamel Accents habe ich Kugeln auf die Bäume aufgetragen. Außerdem habe ich sie mit dem White Puff Embossingpulver von WOW beschneit. Das Pulver pufft beim Erhitzen auf und bleibt dabei ein wenig körnig - pefekt für Schnee. 

Ich habe die Bäume hinter und auf die Hügel geklebt. 

 

A few days ago the little mice took a walk in the snowy woods and came across this hidden path. There were candy canes and twinkling lights along the path and the trees were decorated with ornaments. Curious as they are they followed it a bit until they reached a road sign saying "north pole".  And that's when they got the idea of taking a trip to north pole and Santa  to surprise him with some gifts. For sure he'll enjoy getting some instead of giving them. 

I used a piece of blue cardstock for the background and inked the top with Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and a bit of Black Soot.

From white cardstock I die cut the Village Hillside Border, cut off the houses and cut apart the hills with the trees. From white cardstock I die cut the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders and also the middle sized Stitched Simple Wavy Borders. I also stamped some larger trees from Merry Mice, Sweet Christmas and Snow Bunnies. I colored the trees with Copics and shaded the snowy hills a soft blue.

I used red Enamel Accents to add some red ornaments to the trees. I also covered them with snow using the White Puff embossing powder by WOW.  It puffs up when heated but stays a bit grainy - perfect for a snowy look.

I glued the trees behind and on top of the hills. 

 

 Hinter die wellige Schneelage habe ich dann die Zuckerstangen sowie den Wegweiser zum Norpol gesteckt. 

Die Zuckerstangen sind aus dem Set Sweet Christmas, der Wegweiser samt dem North Pole Text und der gebogenen Lichterkette, die ich über das Schild gehängt habe, aus Penguin Party.  Zwischen den Zuckerstangen  habe ich noch Lichterketten aus Treat Cart Add-On Coffee gespannt. 

Auch die Zuckerstangen und das Schild habe ich mit dem White Puff Powder beschneit. Die Zuckerstangen - auch die, die eine der Mäuse trägt - habe ich mit Distress Rock Candy Glitter überzuckert. 

Und auf der vorderen Schneelage sind die Mäuse zu sehen. Eine davon sitzt auf einem Schlitten und passt auf, dass die Geschenke für Santa nicht runterfallen. 

Die Mäuse sind aus Sweet Christmas Mice, Mice on Ice - die Schlittschuhe habe ich abgeschnitten - und Caroling Mice. Der Schlitten ist aus Tobbogan Together, die Geschenke aus Penguin Party und Merry Mice. Ich habe alle Motive mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 

Behind the wavy snow layer I put up the candy canes and north pole sign.

The candy canes are from Sweet Christmas, the sign with the text and the curvy lights, that I put over the sign, are from Penguin Party. I also hung up lights between the candy canes. These are from Treat Card Add-On Coffee.

Again I uesd the White Puff embossing powder to add snow to the candy canes and sign. The candy canes - also the one one of the mice is carrying - I covered with Distress Rock Candy Glitter to give it a sugar coated look.

And in the very front you can see the mice. One of them is sitting on a sleigh, making sure, the gifts for Santa don't fall off.

The mice are from Sweet Chrismtas Mice, Mice on Ice - I simply cut off the ice skates - and Caroling Mice. The sleigh is from Tobbogan Togther, the presents from Penguin Party and Merry Mice. I colored all images with Copics and cut them out with my scissors.

 

 Ganz oben auf der Karte habe ich meinen Text auf den Himmel gestempelt und weiß embosst. Das Happy Holidays ist aus Penguin Party, der kleine Text darunter aus Joy to All. 

 

At the very top of the card I stamped my text directly onto  the sky and white heat embossed it. The Happy Holidays is from Penguin Party, the smaller text underneath from Joy to All.

 

 Zwischen die einzelnen Schneelagen und hinter die Mäuse habe ich dünnes 3D Tape geklebt und die Szene zusammen gesetzt. Anschließend habe ich - eher dezent - weiße Acrylfarbe als Schneeflocken aufgespritzt. Und die Tannenbaumspitzen habe ich alle noch mit kleinen silbernen Sternen dekoriert. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put thin foam tape between the snow layers and behind the mice, then put the scene together. Then I - quite softly - added snowflakes by splattering white acrylic paint onto the card. And the tree tops I decorated with small silver star confetti.

Then I adhered the scene to a white note card.

 

Weihnachtsgruß unter der Glocke

Ich hatte Euch am 2.11. ja  bereits davor gewarnt, dass ab sofort die Weihnachtsbastelsaison offiziell eröffnet ist. Und so zeige ich Euch heute gleich die nächste Weihnachtskarte.

On november 2nd I already warned all of you  that christmas card season has officially started. And so I am sharing another christmas card with you today.

 

Die Karte ist tatsächlich von meiner Weihnachtsdeko inspiriert. Nein, die habe ich noch nicht aufgebaut, aber im Kopf geht man ja doch alles vorher mal durch. Also zumindest ich mache das so. Vielleicht fehlt ja noch was oder man hat eine Idee für eine Veränderung...

Ich liebe Etageren und Glasglocken. Und unter so einer versteckt sich der Gruß auf meiner heutigen Karte. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich helltürkis farbenen Cardstock genommen und den Holiday Words Background von SimonSaysStamp mit einer nur etwas dunkleren Stempeltinte aufgestempelt. Die Ränder des Cardstocks habe ich dann dunkeltürkis und schwarz gewischt. Außerdem habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

This card is inspired by my christmas decorations. I don't have those up yet, but I like to plan it ahead. There might be a piece missing or you have an idea for some changes...

I love trays - with and without stands - and cloches. So I put the greeting on today's card under a cloche. 

For the background I stamped the Holiday Words Background by SimonSaysStamp onto light aqua cardstock, using ink, that's just a bit darker than the paper. I inked the edges of the cardstock with darker aqua and black ink and also splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.

 

 Ich hatte einen bestimmten Look für meine Etagere im Kopf und dafür natürlich keine passende Stanze. Also habe ich diverse kombiniert, um den Look zu erhalten, der mir vorschwebte.

Ich habe den Fuß der Etagere aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Dafür kam die kleinere Platte des Tiered Trays von Spellbinders zum Einsatz, das kürzere der Verbindungsstücke habe ich unten als Ständer angeklebt und für den Fuß einfach ein schwarzes dünnes Oval verwendet. 

Dekoriert habe ich die Etagere im unteren Bereich dann mit einer Schleife. Die ist aus dem Christmas Cloche Set von Concord and 9th. Ich habe sie aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso etwas schattiert. 

 

I had a special look in mind for my tray but didn't have the right die for it. So I combined different sets to get the look I was after.

I die cut the bottom of the tray from black cardstock. I used the smaller of the trays from Tiered Trays by Spellbinders and the shorter of the connector pieces from this set as the stand. To the bottom I glued a small thin oval.

I decorated the bottom of my tray with a large red bow. This ons is from Christmas Cloche by Concord and 9th. I cut it from red cardstock and shaded it with a bit of Distress Ink Ground Espresso.

 

 Auch die Glasglocke ist aus dem Set Christmas Cloche - die passt nämlich quasi perfekt in den Schlitz, der in das Tablett gestanzt wird. Ich habe die Glasglocke aus Acetate gestanzt und in den Schlitz gesteckt, den unten überstehenden Teil habe ich einfach weggeschnitten. So konnte ich das Acetate aber super hinten am Tablett ankleben, ohne mir Gedanken darüber zu machen, wo ich den Kleber verstecke. 

Auf dem Tablett befindet sich der Text, der hier eigentlich das Hauptelement der Karte ist. Er ist mit der Frohes Fest in Baumform Stanze von Charlie und Paulchen gemacht. Den Text habe ich aus mattem, den Stern an der Spitze aus glänzendem silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Unten hinter das Wort habe ich zwei Tannenzweige geklebt.

Mit einem weißen Acrylstift habe ich Highlights auf das Acetate aufgemalt. Das macht es ein wenig besser sichtbar, aber irgendwie wollte ich es noch etwas mehr hervorheben. Also habe ich den oberen Rand des Griffes und der Glasglocke an sich mit Flüssigkleber bestrichen und dann Clear Rock Candy Glitter von Tim Holtz aufgestreut. Auch die Schleife hat ein wenig davon abbekommen.

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann weißes Twine um den Griff gewickelt und daran zwei silberne Glöckchen gebunden.  Als Deko habe ich zwei kleine Ilexblätter sowie eine rote Perle als Beere aufgeklebt.

 

The cloche is also from Christmas Cloche - it fits nearly perfectly into the slit that gets cut into the tray. I cut the cloche from acetate and put it as far down into the slit until I was happy with the size. The overhang I simply cut off. This way I was able to glue the acetate to the back of the tray without having to find a creative way to hide the glue.

On the tray there's the text, that's kind of the main element of my card. It means "merry christmas" and is made using a die by Charlie und Paulchen. I cut the text from matte, the star on top from shiny silver metallic cardstock. Behind the bottom I put two pine branches.

With a white acrylic marker I drew some highlights onto the acetate. That makes it better visible, but I wanted more. So I applied liquid glue onto the handle and the top of the cloche and covered it with Clear Rock Candy Glitter by Tim Holtz. I also applied some onto the bow.

After the glue had dried I wrapped some white twine around the handle and tied two silver bells to it. As decoration I added a two small holly leaves and a red pearl as a berry.  

 

 Hinter die Etagere habe ich dann 3D Tape gesetzt, hinter einigen der Buchstaben und strategisch hinter der Deko oben an der Glasglocke befinden sich ebenfalls einige kleine/schmale Stücke.

Irgendwie war mir die Karte dann zu nackt. Also habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile ausgestanzt und aufgeklebt. Dabei habe ich mittig zwei Stücke herausgeschnitten, so dass die Etagere nicht überdeckt wird bzw. der Platz dahinter frei ist.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch einige silberne Sternkonfetti auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Behind the tray I put foam tape, putting some small/thin pieces also behind a few of the letters and behind the decorations at the top of the cloche. 

The card seemed a bit too plain to me. So I die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile from black cardstock and glued it on. I cut a piece from both the top and the bottom of the frame so the tray doesn't get covered and there are no pieces behind the cloche. 

As a last step I added some silver star confetti as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Christmas Shopping in New York

Der November ist da - ab jetzt geht es kartentechnisch richtig intensiv um Winter und Weihnachten. Heute gehen wir in New York zum Weihnachtsshopping.

November is here - from now on I dive deep into christmas and winter crafting. Today we are going christmas shopping in New York.

 

Die Idee zu dieser Karte entstand auf dem Stempelmekka. Dort gab es ja die French Christmas Reihe von Charlie und Paulchen, unter anderem auch einen Embossingfolder mit Skyline von Paris inklusive Eiffelturm. Der war mir wegen des Eiffelturms zu wenig vielseitig, meine Freundin hat ihn sich gekauft. Das süße Mädel mit den Paketen (und eigentlich Tüten, die haben es aber nicht auf meine Karte geschafft) durfte bei uns beiden einziehen. Und so haben wir beschlossen, sie macht eine Christmas-Shopping in Paris und ich dafür eine Christmas-Shopping in New York Karte. Tja, und hier ist sie. Wobei das gar nicht so einfach war. Meine Skyline-Stempel und -Stanzen haben so überhaupt nicht mit dem Motiv funktioniert. Also war Shoppen angesagt. Ich habe mir den Background Builder City Sidewalks von Sweet November Stamps gekauft - der Schnee ist dazugestempelt, so dass er super vielseitig und das ganze Jahr einsetzbar ist. Und mit in den Hintergrund gestencilten Hochhäusern finde ich, dass meine Stadt durchaus als New York durchgehen würde...

Das City Sidewalks Motiv ist eigentlich noch größer, ich habe den Ausschnitt gewählt, der mir am besten gefallen hat. Beim Colorieren habe ich alle Häuser im Hintergrund ganz einfach in Grautönen coloriert, nur das (halbe) Haus im Vordergrund habe ich dann aufwändiger gestaltet. 

 

The idea for this card was born back in september when I attended a stamp fair. Charlie und Paulchen brought their new French Christmas series with them and one of the products is an embossing folder with the skyline of Paris inculdingn the Eiffel Tower. But because of the Eiffel Tower I felt it wasn't versatile enough for my taste, but a friend of mine bought it. The little girl with the presents (and also gift bags, but those didn't make it on my card) was something we both got. So we decided, she'd make a Christmas Shopping in Paris and I a Christmas Shopping in New York card. Well, here it is. But it wasn't that easy. I had to find out, that all my skyline stamps and dies so didn't work with the image of the girl. So I had to go shopping... I bought the Background Builder City Sidewalks stamp by Sweet November Stamps - the snow is made with extra images in the set so it is pretty versatile and can be used all year long. And with the skyscrapers stenciled on in the background the city on the card could easily be New York, right?

The City Sidewalks image is a lot larger originally, I simply picked the area I liked the most. When coloring the scene I went with greys for all the houses in the background, only the (half) house in the foreground I did with more care.

 

 Die Hochhäuser im Hintergrund sind mit dem Skyscrapers Stencilset von LaLaLand Crafts gemacht. Auch die ist eigentlich viel größer, aber um den Himmel mit den Hochhäusern zu füllen brauchte ich nur einen kleine Teil des Motivs. Ich habe die Fenster mit Distress Ink Hickory Smoke gewischt und dann den Bereich drumherum mit Lost Shadow. Mit einem grauen Fineliner habe ich noch die Outlines der Häuser dazugemalt. 

Die Laterne habe ich dann noch mit einem Teil einer Schleife aus dem City Sidewalks Set geschmückt. 

 

The skyscrapers in the background I made with the Skyscrapers stencil set by LaLaLand Crafts. Of course this is way larger, too, but I only needed a part of it to fill the sky with them.  I used Distress Ink Hickory Smoke for the windows, then added some Lost Shadow to the houses. With a light grey fineliner I drew the outlines of the houses. 

The lantern I decorated with a part of a bow image, that also comes in the City Sidewalks stamp set. 

 

 Die "Französin beim Shoppen" - so heißt die Stanze - habe ich ja schonmal benutzt. Hier kommt sie aber im Weihnachtslook daher. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Auf den Rand der Jacke, des Kleides und der Stiefel habe ich weiße Plusterfarbe aufgetragen und mit dem Heißluftfön aufgeplustert, so dass es wie Fell aussieht. Und der kleine Mops hat sich zur Feier des Tages ebenfalls mit einer roten Schleife rausgeputzt, damit er zu seinem Frauchen passt.

 

I already used the "French Girl Shopping" - this is the name of the die. Today she comes in a christmas look. I die cut her from white cardstock and colored her with Copics. Onto the jacket, the dress and the boots I put on some puff paint and puffed it up with my heat gun. It now looks like a fur brim. And the little dog decided to wear a red bow to match the girl's festive look. 

 

 Das große Haus im Vordergrund habe ich, wie schon erwähnt, viel detaillierter coloriert. Die Schneelagen habe ich per Masking auf die Fenster und auch den Boden gestempelt. Ich habe dafür hellblaue Tinte benutzt, später die Ränder aber mit einem weißen Gelstift nachgemalt und die Schneelagen noch ordentlich damit gefüllt.

Die Fenster aller Häuser im Hintergrund sind ja einfach dunkelblau gefüllt. Bei dem Haus im Vordergrund leuchtet warmes Licht einladend durch die Scheiben. Und damit das Haus etwas festlicher wirkt, habe ich kleine Weihnachtsstern-Topfpflanzen von PurpleOnion hinter die Scheiben gestempelt. 

Und auf dem Gehweg vor dem Haus, gleich neben der Französin - äh, New-Yorkerin! - war dann Platz für einen kleinen Text. Ich wollte etwas, das nach guter Laune klingt und habe mich für "jingle all the way" entschieden. Der Text ist aus dem Bitty Holiday Wishes Set von MFT und weiß auf roten Cardstock embosst.

 

As I said already, did I go a lot more detailed with the coloring of the house in the foreground. I did some masking to stamp the piles of snow on the windows and also onto the ground. I stamped those with light blue ink, but later used a white gel pen to cover the lines and also added a lots more of the white to the snow.

The windows in the houses in the background are all simply filled with a dark blue marker. From the windows of this house some warm light is shining through onto the street. And to make this house look a bit more festive I stamped some poinsettia flower pots by PurpleOnion onto the windowsills behind the window.  

And on the sidewalk in front of the house, right next to the french girl - sorry, New York girl! - I had room for a text. I wanted something cheerful and went with "jingle all the way". It's from Bitty Holiday Wishes by MFT and white heat embossed onto red cardstock.

 

 Mit den gestencilten Hochhäusern und dem großen Szene-Motiv ist die Karte fast eine One-Layer-Card. Nur die Schleife, das Mädel samt Hund und der Text sind aufgeklebt. Auf 3D Tape habe ich hier verzichtet.

Vor dem Aufkleben des Textes habe ich mit weißer Acrylfarbe noch viele dicke Schneeflocken auf die Szene gespritzt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

With the stenciled on skyscrapers and the large scene image this is nearly a one-layer-card. Only the bow, the girl with dog and the text are glued on. I didn't use any foam tape on this card.

Before glueing on the text I added lots of large snowflakes to the scene by splattering on white acrylic paint. Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Kleine Halloween-Goodies

Einen letzten Halloween-Post habe ich noch für dieses Jahr. Die kleinen Goodies, die ich meinen Kollegen gestern morgen auf den Schreibtisch gestellt habe, kann ich Euch natürlich erst heute zeigen.

I have one last Halloween post for this year to share with you. I wasn't able to show the little gifts, that I put onto my co-workers desk yesterday morning, earlier. 

 

Ich hatte diese winzigen Glasfläschchen mit kleinen Gespenstern darin entdeckt und gekauft. Die Fläschen sind winzig, nur etwa 1 cm im Durchmesser. Die wären in jeder Box untergegangen. Also habe ich sie anders, und recht simple, mit einem Halloweengruß versehen.

Oben an die Öse im Korken habe ich jeweils ein kleines Tag mit einem weiß aufembossten Boo angebracht. Das Boo ist von WhimsyStamps und passte genau auf die Tags. Ich habe ein Loch in die Tags gestanzt und sie dann mit Twine an den Ösen angebunden.

 

I came across those tiny glass bottles with an even smaller ghost inside and bought some. Those bottles are tiny, about 1 cm in diameter. They would have look lost in any kind of box. So I added a Halloween greeting a bit differently, and very simply.

To the hook in the cork I tied a small tag with a white heat embossed boo! on it. The boo! is by WhimsyStamps and fit perfectly onto the tag. I punched a hole into the tag and used twine to tie it to the hook. 

 

 Aus schwarzem Cardstock habe ich dann Kreise ausgestanzt und jeweils zweimal ein gebogenes Happy Halloween aufembosst. Zwischen die Texte habe ich kupferfarbene Sterne geklebt.

Farblich passend zu den Sternen habe ich dann einen kleineren Kreis aus orangefarbenem Cardstock in die Mitte der großen Kreise geklebt und darauf mit einem GlueDot die Fläschchen befestigt.

 

I cut out circles from black cardstock and white heat embossed an arched Happy Halloween text two times onto each. Between the texts I put some copper star confetti.

Matching the color of the stars I cut out some smaller circles from orange cardstock and glued them in the center of the text. I used a GlueDot to adhere the glass bottle to it. 

 

 Die kleinen Gespenster in den Gläsern sind nachtleuchtend. Also habe ich zum Anbinden der Tags dann auch das Glow-in-the-Dark Twine von LawnFawn benutzt. Und so sieht das ganze dann im Dunkeln aus.

 

The little ghosts in those bottles glow in the dark. So I also used the glow-in-the-dark twine by LawnFawn  to tie the tags to the bottles. And this is what they look in the dark.

Halloween ist endlich da! Und zur Feier des Tages habe ich heute eine weitere, letzte Halloween-Karte für Euch. Die ist gleichzeitig auch meine letzte Karte als Mitglied des WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Team.

It's finally Halloween! And of course when would you post a Halloween card if not today?! This is also my last card as a member of the WhimsyStamps Halloweeners team. 

Ich hatte ja als erste Projekt für das Team eine Karte mit der Mumie aus dem Monster CloseUp Stempelset gemacht. Und ich fand, die Zeit auch mit einem Motiv aus diesem Set abzuschließen, passt irgendwie. Diesmal habe ich mich für den Vampir entschieden.

 Ich wollte den Vampir nicht in einen eckigen Rahmen packen, es sollte mehr so aussehen, als würde er hinter einer Mauer oder Hecke hervorschauen. 

Zuerst habe ich den Fantasy Frame aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich ein Stück lilafarbenen Cardstock in der Größe des Fantasy Frame zugeschnitten und aus der Mitte einen der kleineren Rahmen aus dem Set herausgestanzt. Dahinter passte dann der Vampir.

Und um das ganze etwas aufzulockern, habe ich aus grünem Cardstock noch den Thorny Frame gestanzt und in Stücke geschnitten. Die habe ich dann so zwischen dem lilafarbenen und dem schwarzen Cardstock arrangiert, dass die Ranken nach innen zeigen und jeweils seitlich und unten hinter dem schwarzen Cardstock zu sehen sind.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann noch die obere Kante des Drippy Frame gestanzt und blutrot coloriert. Dann habe ich ihn mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich ihn dann entlang der oberen Kante hinter den schwarzen Rahmen geklebt.

Die verwendeten Cardstocks sind jeweils von Cardstock Warehouse. Von denen ist auch das Vellum, das ich hinter die aus dem schwarzen Cardstock ausgestanzten Sterne geklebt habe.

 

I have started this DT term with a card using the mummy from Monster CloseUps. And I thought it would be nice to also end it with an image from this set. This time I've chosen the vampire.

I didn't want to put the vampire into a rectangle frame. I wanted it to look, like he's peeking from behind a wall or a hedge.

First I die cut the Fantasy Frame from black cardstock. Then I cut a piece of purple cardstock in the size of the frame and cut one of the smaller dies from the set from the center. The vampire fits behind it perfectly.

To have some more contrast between the purple and black cardstock I cut the Thorny Frame from green cardstock and cut it into pieces. I arranged those between the black and the purple cardstock in a way, that vines are visible at both sides and the bottom. The edge of the oval frame from this die cut I put on the outside and have hidden it behind the black cardstock.

From white cardstock I then die cut the top edge of the Drippy Frame die and colored it a bloody red using Copoics. I covered it with Glossy Accents and, after it had dried, I glued it behind the top edge of the black  frame.

The papers I used are from Cardstock Warehouse. From them is also the vellum, that I used to back the stars, that get cut from the Fantasy Frame die.

 

 Hier ist der Vampir. Ich habe ihn mit schwarzer Tinte abgestempelt und dabei die seitlichen Rahmenlinien nicht mit eingefärbt. Sie wären nicht vom lilafarbenen Cardstock verdeckt worden. Aber beim Vampirgesicht ist das problemlos machbar. 

Coloriert habe ich den Vampir mit Copics und dabei rote Augen mit aufgemalt. Die Haut habe ich in einem blassen Blau coloriert. Die Augen und die Haare habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen, die Stempellinie des Munds habe ich mit einem roten Glaze Pen nachgemalt.  

 

Here's the vampire. I stamped him with black ink and covered up the frame lines on the left and right. The purple cardstock wouldn't have covered those. But with the vampire face this works great.

I used Copics to color the vampire and added some glowy red eyes. The skin I colored a light blue. I covered the eyes and hair with Glossy Accents, the stamped line of the mouth I re-drew with a red Glaze pen.

 

 Für meinen Text wollte ich eigentlich erst nur das Mwaahahahaa, das ich hier am unteren Ende der Karte aufgeklebt habe, im oberen Bereich der Karte verwenden und unten einen Halloweengruß hinzufügen. Aber dann fiel mir das Scary Night Stanzenset in die Hand - das sieht mit dem herabtropfenden Schleim doch fast ebenfalls aus wie Blut.... Also habe ich mich umentschieden.

Das Wort Scary habe ich aus lilafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, das "Blut" darauf aus weißem Cardstock, den ich dann coloriert habe. Da in dem Set kein Fragezeichen enthalten ist, habe ich einfach ein weiteres R gestanzt, es etwas zugeschnitten und mit dem I-Punkt aus dem Wort Night ergänzt. Anschließend habe ich hinter alles noch eine Lage Vellum geklebt, damit sich der Text besser von den Elementen darunter abhebt.

Das Blut auf den Buchstaben habe ich wieder mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

Das schon erwähnte Mwaahahahaa habe ich zweimal weiß auf lilafarbenen Cardstock embosst, ebenfalls mit Vellum hinterlegt und unten auf die Karte aufgeklebt. Der Vampir scheint zu fragen Gruselig? Hahahaha - wartet nur auf heute Nacht!  

 

Originally I wanted to use the Mwaahahahaa, that I glued onto the bottom of the card, at its top and add a Halloween greeting at the bottom. But then I came accross the Scary Night die set - with the dripping edges it kind of looks like blood again... So I changed my mind.

I die cut the word scary from purple cardstock, the "blood" from white and colored it red. Since there isn't a question mark included in this set I simply die cut another R, cut it down a bit and put the dot from the I of "night" under it. 

I put a layer cut from vellum behind the word, just to make it pop a bit more from the elements underneath. 

I covered the blood on the letters with Glossy Accents again.

The already mentioned Mwaahahahaa I white heat embossed two times onto purple cardstock and matted it with Vellum. Then I glued it onto the bottom of the frame. The vampire seems to say "Scary? Hahaha - wait for tonight!".

 

 Zum Zusasmmensetzen der Karte habe ich wieder 3D Tape benutzt. Das befindet sich nicht nur hinter den Texten sondern jeweils auch zwischen den Rahmen bzw. dem Rahmen und dem Motiv. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

To put the card together I used foam tape. There's some behind the texts and also between the frames and frame and image.

Then I attached the card panel to a white card base.

 

Eine Hochzeitskarte in Blau und Creme

Ich wurde gefragt, ob ich nicht eine Hochzeitskarte machen könnte und ich hatte vollkommen freie Hand dabei. Hier ist das Ergebnis.

I was asked to make a wedding card and was completly free with colors and design. This is what I came up with.

 

Ich habe hier Produkte von TheGreetery verwendet. 

Die Ovale sind alle mit Stanzen aus dem Capsule Basics Set gemacht und ich habe sie aufeinander gelayert. 

Ganz hinten befindet sich ein großes gewelltes Oval, gestanzt aus hellblauem Cardstock, darauf ein etwas kleineres Oval, auf das ich mit der passenden Capsule Basics 1 Hotfoil Plate und goldener Folie ein Muster auffoliert habe.

The ovals are all made using the Capsule Basics set, that I layered. 

The bottom layer is a large scalloped oval, cut from light blue cardstock. On top I placed a smaller oval, that I hotfoiled a pattern onto using the Capsule Basics 1 hotfoild plate and gold foil.

 

Als Hintergrund für meinen Text habe ich ein weiteres gewelltes hellblaues Oval verwendet. Mir war die Mitte des Ovals zu fad, also habe ich mit der Dotted Tile Debossing Stanze von Altenew ein Muster eingestanzt, das prima zu dem floralen Muster auf der Karte passt. Um das Muster nur in die Mitte stanzen zu können, habe ich statt einer der Platten in meiner BigShot die kleine quadratische Platte aus dem Embossing Diffuser Set 2 von Sizzix benutzt. Das Muster habe ich dann ganz leicht mit hellblauen Copics schattiert.

Wieder mit Stanzen aus dem Capsule Basics Set habe ich dann einen ovalen Rahmen aus heller cremefarbenem Cardstdock gestanzt. Auf das habe ich dann eines der floralen Muster aus dem Capsule Collection Floral Borders Set aufgestempelt. Die Blätter habe ich gold embosst, die Blüten mit dunkelblauer Tinte gestempelt.  

Die Initialen des Brautpaares habe ich mit einem Alphabet von SU aus dunkel-creme und dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt Dazwischen habe ich ein Ampersand gesetzt. Das habe ich mit einer Stanze von CreativeDepot aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt. 

Auf die Buchstaben habe ich dann jeweils ein kleineres Muster aus dem floralen Stempelset aufgebracht, die Blätter wieder gold embosst, die Blüten dunkelblau gestempelt. Ein etwas gebogenes florales Motiv habe ich zudem innerhalb des ovalen Rahmens auf den hellblauen Cardstock aufgestempelt. 

Unter den Initialen habe ich dann ein dunkelblaues Banner angebracht, das ich ein wenig mit Copics schattiert habe. Das ist mit dem Elegant Folded Banner von MFT gemacht, darauf habe ich dann ein "herzlichen Glückwunsch" aus dem Panorama-Stempelset von Charlie und Paulchen ebenfalls gold aufembosst. Dabei habe ich es von der Form her der Form des Banners angepasst. 

Das zur Hochzeit ist ebenfalls aus diesem Set, die Rundung passte hier von Haus aus perfekt zum Oval. Diesen Text habe ich wieder direkt auf das hellblaue Oval embosst.

 

As the background for my text I used another scalloped light blue oval. I thought, the center area of the oval was too plain, so I used the Dotted Tile Debossing die by Altenew to cut a pattern into the oval. I think, the pattern goes great with the floral images. To only have the pattern in the center of said oval I replaced one of the cutting plates of my BigShot with the small square from the Embossing Diffuser Set 2 by Sizzix. I used light blue Copics to lightly shade the pattern.

Again using dies from the Capsule Basics set I die cut an oval frame from light cream colored cardstock. Onto that I stamped one of the floral images from the Capsule Collection Floral Borders Set. I gold heat embossed the leaves, the flowers I stamped with dark blue ink.

I die cut the initials of the bride and groom from dark cream and dark blue cardstock using an alphabet die set by SU, then stacked them a bit offset. Between the letters I put an ampersand. I cut that from gold mirror cardstock using a die by CreativeDepot.

Onto the letters I stamped a smaller image from the floral stamp set, again heat emobssing the leaves gold and stamping the flowers a dark blue. Another, slightly curved floral image I stamped directly onto the light blue oval, placing it within the floral frame.

Under the initials I placed a dark blue banner, that I shaded a bit with Copics. I made that with the Elegant Folded Banner die by MFT and stamped a "congratulations" from the Panorama stamp set by Charlie und Paulchen onto it, then gold heat embossed it. I bent it slightly to make the shape match the shape of the banner.

From the same stamp set I also used the "on your wedding" text, its shape was already perfect to go with the oval. I embossed it directly onto the light blue oval again.

 

Am oberen Rand habe ich hinter das hellblaue Oval dann noch eine große Schleife gesetzt. Die ist mit der Big Beautiful Bow von TheGreetery gemacht, ich habe hier nur den oberen Teil der eigentlich doppelten Schleife benutzt. Die Schleifenenden habe ich einfach hinter das Oval geschoben, sie wären sonst nicht sichtbar. 

Ich habe  die Schleife aus dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. 

 

 At the top of the card I placed a large bow behind the light blue oval. I made that with the Big Beautiful Bow set by TheGreetery, only using the top bow of the double bow. The ribbon ends I just tucket under the oval, they wouldn't have been visible otherwise.

I cut the bow from dark blue cardstock and shaded it with Copics.

 

Zum Zusammensetzen der Karte kam dünnes und dickes 3D Tape zum Einsatz. Als Deko habe ich ein paar kleine cremefarbene Perlen auf das hellblaue Oval geklebt.

Und um das ganze dann in eine "richtige" Karte zu verwandeln, habe ich hinter das große hellblaue Oval ein weiteres aus hell-cremefarbenem Cardstock geklebt. Aus dem selben Cardstock habe ich dann ein drittes großes Oval gestanzt, oben quer gefalzt und nur oberhalb der Falzung von hinten an die Karte geklebt. So lässt sich die Karte aufklappen.

 

To put the card together I used thin and thick foam tape. As decoration I glued a few small cream colored pearls onto the light blue oval.

To turn this panel into a "real" card I glued another large oval, cut from light cream colored cardstock, behind the light blue oval. From the same cream colored cardstock I die cut a third oval, scored it across the top and only glued the area above the fold to the back of the card, that can now be folded open.

Heute habe ich eine weitere Weihnachtskarte für Euch - so langsam sollte man ja mal anfangen, damit kurz vor Weihnachten nicht die große Panik ausbricht, weil man feststellt, dass man doch nicht genug Weihnachtskarten hat.

Today I am sharing another christmas card with you - it's about time to get started to avoid the big panic shortly before christmas because you realize, that you don't have enough christmas cards at hand.

 

Auch wenn es ein wenig so aussehen mag, ich habe hier keinen Farbfilter über das Foto gelegt. Bis auf das Schwarz ist sie ziemlich Ton-in-Ton gehalten.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellem grau-blauem Cardstock. Auf den habe ich mit silbernem Embossingpulver den Outline Merry Christmas Background von SimonSaysStamp embosst. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

Even if it looks like it, I didn't put a color filter over my picutre. Except for a bit of black I kept it pretty tone in tone.

The background is made from some light grey-ish blue cardstock. I silver heat embossed the Outline Merry Christmas Background by SimonSaysStamp onto it, then added splatters of white acrylic paint.

 

 Für die Deko kam die Postage Collage Stanze von WaffleFlower sowie die Zusatzsetzs Postage Collage Gifts und die passende Coloring Stencil zum Einsatz. Auf die Zusatzsests hatte ich schon länger ein Auge geworfen. Auf dem Stempelmekka hatte die Stempelbar ein paar Artikel von WaffleFlower dabei - darunter eben diese beiden. Ich habe das als ein Zeichen gesehen und beides gekauft. 

Die Postage Collage Stanze habe ich aus moos-grauem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich die Geschenke erst mit weißer Pigmenttinte aufgewischt und mit silberner Tinte die Diagonal Stripes von MFT durch den Stencil hindurch aufgestempelt. 

Die Schleifen und Geschenkbänder habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Bundled Sage aufgewischt.

Das Postage Collage Gifts Stanzensets enhält Schleifenstanzen, die auf die gestencilten Schleifen passen. Ich habe sie aus cremefarbenem Designpapier mit grau-grünem Leinendruck sowie grau-grünem Designpapier mit weißen Pünktchen gestanzt und mit passenden Copics schattiert.  

Dann habe ich die Schleifen auf die Geschenke geklebt, den Postage Collage Bogen in einzelne Briefmarken zerteilt und die Geschenke - bis auf eines, das übrig geblieben ist - auf dem Hintergrund arrangiert.

 

For the decoration I used the Potage Collagedie by WaffleFlower and the add-ons Postage Collage Gifts and the matching coloring stencils. I had eyed with those add-ons since some time. When I attended the stamp fair back in september, a store had a few items by WaffleFlower with them, those add-ons among them. I decided, that's a sign and bought both.

I die cut the Postage Collage die from moss-grey cardstock. Then I inked on the presents with white pigment int and stamped on stripes through the stencil using the Diagonal Stripes stamp by MFT and silver pigment ink.

The bows and ribbons I stenciled on with Distress Ink Bundled Sage.

The Postage Collage Gifts set contains bow dies, that fit exactly onto the stenciled bows on the presents. I die cut those from cream patterned paper with a grey-ish green linen pattern and grey-ish green paper with white dots. I used matching Copics to shade the bows.

I adhered the bows to the presents, cut the postage collage sheet into individual stamps and arranged them on the background (except for one, that was left over). 

 

 Aus dem Stanzenset Postage Collage Mini Seals stammen das Briefkuvert, der Brief und das kleine Siegel. Das Kuver ist aus dem selben Cardstock gestanzt, aus dem auch der Hintergrund besteht, den Brief habe ich wieder aus dem Cardstock mit dem Leinenmuster gestanzt. Und das Siegel habe ich aus mattsilbernem Metallic-Cardstock gemacht. Da es eigentlich zusammengefaltet wird, mein Metallic-Cardstock hinten aber weiß ist, habe ich das Siegel noch einmal von der Rückseite des Cardstocks gestanzt, die beiden Teile jeweils aueinander geschnitten und aufeinander geklebt. So sieht man nur die silberne Seite und das Siegel bekommt gleich eine schöne Dicke. 

Kuvert und Brief habe ich wieder mit Copics coloriert. Auf den Brief habe ich dann noch einen Text aus dem Set Dear Santa aufgestempelt. Ich habe dafür das Portobello-Kissen von Versafine Clair verwendet. Nun, die Idee mit dem Text kam mir tatsächlich erst, als ich die Karte schon zusammengeklebt habe - teilweise mit 3D Tape. Ich war also mutig, habe einen Acrylblock benutzt und den Text aufgestempelt. Es kam, wie es kommen musste, der Abdruck war wegen des 3D Tapes, das an einer Stelle hinter dem Brief angebracht ist, nicht komplett. Also habe ich, so gut es mit dem Acrylblock ging, den Text ein weiteres Mal aufgestempelt und finde, das ist mir ganz gut gelungen. Auch das Wellenmuster links des Briefs, das aus dem Set Postage Collage ist, habe ich erst später mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt - dabei habe ich aber einfach den Stempel pur auf die Karte gelegt und mit der Hand angedrückt. Bei der Post sind diese Stempel ja auch nicht immer perfekt. 

Und dann brauchte die Karte noch einen richtigen Text. Also habe ich das Christmas Blessings aus dem Set Elegant Christmas 2 weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.

 

The envelope, letter and small seal are from the Postage Collage Mini Seals die set. I cut the envelope from the same cardstock, that I had used for the background, the letter I cut from the paper with the linen pattern again. And the seal I made from matte silver metallic cardstock. The seal originally gets folded in the center, but my metallic cardstock had a white back. So I cut the seal again from the back of said cardstock, cut both in half and glued the pieces together. This way you only see the silver side of the cardstock and the seal also gets some dimmension. 

I used Copics again to shade the letter and envelope. With Versafine Clair Portobello I also stamped a text from Dear Santa onto the letter. Well, I only got that idea after glueing the card together, using foam tape behind a few of the elements. I decided to take the risk, put the stamp onto an acylic blog and stamped it onto the letter. And of course the stamp wasn't complete because there is a smaller piece of foam tape behind the letter. I did my best to line the text up again - always a task with an acrylic blog - and stamped it again. I think, I didn't do that bad of a job here.

Also the wavy cancellation  stamp on the left side was stamped with black ink after the card was put together. Here I simply put the inked stamp onto the card and pressed it on with my fingers - those cancellation stamps the post puts on the mail aren't stamped perfectly most of the times.

And then my card needed a real text. I white heat embossed the "christmas blessings" from Elegant Christmas 2 onto black cardstock, cut it out and glued it on.

 

 Hier sieht man die unterschiedlichen Höhen, die ich durch dickes und dünnes 3D Tape kreiert habe, ganz gut.

Als Deko habe ich einige aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzte Ilex-Blätter unter einige der Geschenke und den Umschlag geschoben. In die Mitte des silbernen Siegels habe ich ein silbernes Sternkonfetti geklebt und zwei weitere davon auf dem Brief angebracht. Außerdem habe ich einige silberne Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Here you can see the different layers, that I created with thin and thick foam tape, pretty good.

I tucked a few holly leaves, that I cut from black cardstock, under a few of the presents and the letter. Into the center of the silver seal I glued a silver star confetti and added two more of those to the letter. I also glued a few silver pearls onto the card.

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.
