Magnolia Down Under # 214

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Lange hat es gedauert, aber ich komme langsam zurück an meinen Basteltisch. Und so habe ich es diesmal endlich wieder geschafft, ein Projekt für unsere neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under zu fertigen. "Decorate a paper bag shabby style" lautet unser neues Thema.

Hello everyone!

It was a long way to go but I am finally finding time to get on my craftdesk again. And so I finally made it to make a project for our new challenge at Magnolia Down Under. "Decorate a paper bag shabby style" is our new theme.

Ich habe die Papiertüte mit Schrift und Poststempeln bestempelt, mit Farbe bespritzt und mit Crackle Paint angestrichen. Dazu kam dann eine Lage Wellpapier und Cheesecloth, etwas Spitze, eine Rose aus Spitze, ein Schlüsselcharm und ein Schnörkel.

Und in den Rahmen, den ich mit Frantage Embossing Pulver überzogen habe, habe ich Salute Tilda gesetzt, coloriert mit Distress Inks.

Verschlossen habe ich die Tüte mit einem weißen Paperclip.

I stamped postmark stamps and some writing all over the bag, used a color spritzer for some dots and painted some areas with Crackle Paint. Then I added some corugated paper and cheesecloth, some lace, a rose from lace, a key shaped charm and a flourish.

I used Salute Tilda and put her in the frame that was covered with Frantage Embossing Enamel, and Tilda was colored with Distress Inks.

I closed the bag with a white paperclip.

Today starts the new challenge at Whiff Of Joy. "Doily Heaven" is the theme we picked for this fortnight - so bring out those doilies and let's get started!

Ich habe ein weiteres der neuen Digi-Motive verwendet: Ich liebe Geschenke.

Und ich habe keine Karte, sondern ein Fähnchen gewerkelt. Das Fähnchen ist aus Canvas, bestempelt bzw. mit Hilfe einer Schablone bepunktet und darauf habe ich dann etwas Cardstock, das Motiv und natürlich Spitzendeckchen aufgebracht. Mal sehen, ob ich da noch mehr solche Fähnchen mache und dann ein langes Banner daraus wird, oder ob ich sie einzeln verwende.

I used another one of the new digi images: I love presents.

And I didn't use it on a card but made a banner with it. The banner is from Canvas. I stamped the Happy birthday text on it and used a stencil to add the dots. I added some Cardstock, the image and of course some doilies. We'll see if I will use it as it is or if I will make more and create one long banner.

I made another pocket in a card again like I did for the free digi stamp event. But this time I added two boxes:

Die Taschen sind mit Luftballons und Süßigkeiten gefüllt. Und ich habe noch einen kleinen Umschlag aufgebracht, in dem man einen Gutschein oder Geld verstauen kann.

The pockets are filled with balloons and candies. And I added a little envelope that a giftcard or money can be put in.

Heute zeige ich Euch eine weitere Vorschau auf die neuen Digistempel von Whiff Of Joy, die es ab Montag geben wird.

Today I am giving you another preview on those new Whiff Of Joy digi stamps that will be available on monday.

"Eat Cake" heißt dieses Motiv und ich habe damit einen Tag gemacht.

Ich liebe es, wie Henry in diesem Set gezeichnet ist - so süß und bisschen "fluffig" (falls das Sinn macht).

Wegen der Krawatte habe ich entschieden, dass das ein Junge sein muss und so ist mein Tag hauptsächlich blau geworden. 

"Eat Cake" is the name of this image and I used it to decorate a tag.

I love how Henry is drawn in this set - so cute and a bit fluffy (if this makes sense).

Because of the tie I decided that this must be a boy and so I used mainly blue for this tag.

Ab heute zeigen wir Euch eine Vorschau auf die neuen Digi Stamps von Whiff Of Joy.

From today on we are going to give you a preview on the new Digi Stamps by Whiff Of Joy.

Die Motive mögen Euch bekannt vorkommen - kein Wunder, denn es sind die Stempel aus den Geheimen Stempelkits des Frühjahrs und Sommers.

Aber vielleicht geht es einigen von Euch ja so wie mir - ich hatte mich wirklich geärgert, dass ich das Sommer-Kit nicht bestellt hatte, denn die Geburtstagsstempel mit Henry der Maus sind einfach zu süß. Nun ist jetzt also die Chance gekommen, sie trotzdem zu bekommen. Zwar nicht mehr zum günstigen Kit-Preis, dafür dann aber als Digi Stamp zum kaufen und sofort verwenden.

These images might be familar to you - and you're right, because these are the images that were contained in the Secret Stamp Kits of the past spring and summer.

But maybe you are like me - I was really angry with myself for not having ordered the summer kit because those birthday images of Henry the Mouse are just the cutest. So well, now there is the chance to get them. Not for the special kit price but as a digi stamp instead to buy and use right ahead.

Ich habe diese Matchbox gebastelt und darauf das Motiv "Birthday Girl" verwendet.

Die Box ist um einiges größer als eine normale, große Streichholzschachtel - soll ja schließlich was reinpassen... ;)

I made this matchbox and used the "Birthday Girl" image for it.

My box is way bigger than of those normal big matchboxes - I want a real present to fit in it... ;)

Neben einer Girlande habe ich auch einen Text untergebracht - er ist aus dem Text-Set "Für Dich". Ich habe nur das Happy Birthday ohne den kleinen deutschen Text darunter abgestempelt.

Beside a banner I also added a sentiment - it's from the text stamp set "Für Dich". 

I only used the Happy Birthday part of the stamp and didn't add the small german saying underneath.

Zum Öffnen der Schublade habe ich einen Herzbrad angebracht. 

To open the drawer I added a hearshaped brad.

Whiff Of Joy Free Digi Stamp!

Ich hatte es ja gestern schon angedeutet - heute gibt es was besonderes! Denn heute schenkt Euch Whiff Of Joy ein nagelneues Motiv als Digi-Stamp!

I already gave you a hint yesterday - today is special! Because today Whiff Of Joy is giving you a brand new digi stamp for FREE!

 Natürlich haben auch wir vom DT etwas damit gebastelt... Und bei mir ist es ein "So-Beschäftige-Ich-Die-Kinder"-Geschenk geworden. ;) Das Motiv hat geradezu danach geschrien. Es ist aber auch zu süß!

Of course also we from the DT made some samples... And I ended up with a "Keep-Your-Kids-Busy-For-Some-Time"-gift. ;) The image was really screaming for something like that. It just is too cute!

Die Vorderseite ist mit passendem Motivpapier überzogen, "Blockblättern" unterlegt und einem ausgestanzten Stift aus dem Die-Lights-Set Wir bleiben in Verbindung dekoriert. Außerdem ist ein Streifen Washi-Tape - eine Premiere bei mir! - und in bunten Farben gestempelten und dann einzeln ausgestanzten Buchstaben, die das Wort Colors ergeben, verziert. Leider habe ich dazu im Nachhinein gesehen zu helle Farben verwendet...

The front is decorated with matching designer's paper, "stamped school sheets" under the image and a pen cut with the Die-Lights set Staying In Touch. I also stamped the letters for the word "colors" in different colors and attached them cut out individually. Unfortunately I found out later that the colors I used to stamp the letters were a tid bit too light... And as a first for me I also used some Washi Tape!

Wenn man das Ganze öffnet, dann ist innen ein kleiner Block sowie eine Tasche mit Buntstiften enthalten. Wie oft sitzt man irgendwo mit einer Freundin im Cafe und den Kindern wird langweilig. Da kann so ein kleines Geschenk, im richtigen Moment aus der Handtasche gezaubert, Wunder wirken... ;) Und wenn der Block voll ist, dann kann man ihn ganz einfach austauschen.

die Zahlen auf der Tasche kommen mit dem Stempel "Ich liebe die Schule".

If you open this there is a little paper pad and a pocket holding pencils. Don't you know those moments when you sit in a coffee shop with your friend, chatting and then your kids get bored? A little gift like this, brought on the table in the right moment, can do wonders... ;) And once the paper pad is used up it can easily replaced.

The stamped numbers on the pocket come with the stamp "I love school".

Und auch die Rückseite hat etwas Deko abbekommen - nämlich ein weiteres Motiv aus dem Set "Schule-Zubehör". Die passen einfach immer!

And also the back got some decoration - another images of the Set "School Accessories". Those just fit in allways!

Whiff Of Joy Monthly Project August 2013

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Es ist wieder Zeit für das Monatsprojekt bei Whiff Of Joy. Und auch wenn wir hier noch knapp 2 Wochen Ferien genießen dürfen, geht es doch mit schnellen Schritten auf ein neues Schuljahr zu. Darum lautet unser Thema diesmal "Back 2 School".

It's time for the monthly project over at Whiff Of Joy again. And even if we still have nearly 2 weeks of holidays left - the new year is coming soon. And so our theme this month is "back 2 school".

Ich habe diesen Stiftehalter gemacht. Es passen 4 Bleistifte hinein - und ich habe ihn auch wie einen großen Stift aussehen lassen. 

Dekoriert habe ich mit einem Stempel aus dem Set Schule-Zubehör. Er paßt von der Größe her wunderbar auf die Verpackung. Der Text kommt mit dem Motiv Pünktlich zum Unterricht. Außerdem habe ich noch zwei Charms aus der Charm-Box Nr. 9 "Ich nähe, also bin ich" verwendet. Schere und Lineal passen doch auch prima zum Thema Schule!

I made this pen holder. There are 4 pencils fitting in it and I made it look like a big pencil.

I used one of the stamps from the set School Accessories. It fits perfectly in size on my pencil. The saying come with the image On Time For Class. And I also used two charm out of the Box of Charms # 9 "Sew Sweet". Scissors and ruler are not just perfect for sewing!

Und zum Schluss verrate ich Euch noch, dass es morgen etwas ganz besonderes bei Whiff Of Joy geben wird - um mehr zu erfahren, müsst Ihr aber morgen wiederkommen... ;)

Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy. Und diesmal lautet das Thema "use flowers".

It's time for a new challenge over at Whiff Of Joy. Our theme this fortnight is "use flowers". 

Ich bin immer noch mit den Wäschebergen des Urlaubs beschäftigt - und außerdem brauchte ich eine nette Verpackung für eine Kleinigkeit. Darum gibt es bei mir diesmal kein Motiv, sondern dieses Häuschen...

I am still busy with the laundry from our vacation - and I also was in need for a little gift. And so there is no image used by me this time since it wouldn't have fit the tiny house I made...

Der Text ist aus dem neuen Set "Für  Dich". Es enthält wunderschöne Stempel, die alle perfekt für kleine Aufmerksamkeiten sind - und das selbstgemachte Geschenk noch persönlicher machen.

Außerdem habe ich den Schnörkel aus diesem Die-Lights Set verwendet. 

Das Häuschen ist mit meiner Cameo und einer Datei aus dem Silhouette-Store geschnitten und von der Größe her perfekt für die kleinen Tartuffi, die ich aus Italien mitgebracht habe. Und so war es auch ganz leicht, gleich mehrere davon zu basteln...

The saying is from the new german text set "Für Dich". It is full of wonderful stamps that fit on those little give aways - and make your gift even more personal.

I also used one of the flourish from this Die-Lights set.

The house has been cut using my Cameo and a cutting file from the Silhouette Online Store and it is the perfect size for those little Tartuffi I brought from Italy. And so it was also easy to make a whole bunch of these...

Whiff Of Joy Die-Lights Special

 Hallo an alle!

Heute haben wir vom Whiff Of Joy DT ein kleines Special für Euch, in dem wir Euch die neuen Die-Lights präsentieren möchten. Also diesmal keine gestempelten Motive - oder zumindest stehen sie nicht im Mittelpunkt - sondern es geht alles um die neuen Stanzen.

Today we from the Whiff Of Joy DT have a little special für you showing the new die lights. So, there are no stamped images this time - or at least they aren't in the focus of our special - but it's all about the new dies.

Wir sind ja erst gestern Nacht aus dem Urlaub zurückgekommen und all das Camping Equipment muss weggeräumt werden. Von den Wäschebergen möchte ich erst gar nicht anfangen. Aber während Waschmaschine und Trockner im Akkord arbeiten, habe ich mir die Zeit genommen, dieses kleine Geschenk zu werkeln. Und mit der tollen neuen Pillow-Box-Stanze ging das wunderbar schnell!

We just came home from vacation last night and all the camping stuff  needs to be packed away. Not to mention the piles of laundry screaming to be washed. But while washingmachine and dryer are running I took the time to create this little gift. And with the new Pillow Box Die it was made in like no time!

Das tolle ist, dass nicht nur die Stanze für die Box an sich geliefert wird, sondern noch 4 Stanzen für die Fähnchen oben auf. Für jede Gelegenheit der passende Text. 

Die Box zusammengebaut ist 8 x 5 cm groß und bietet somit genug Platz für eine Kleinigkeit.

Ich habe etwas weiße Schnur um die Box gewickelt und den "Aufbau" mit Abstandhalter aufgeklebt. Ein kleines Steinchen verziert das Herz, das ich mit einer Handstanze geschnitten habe. Aber es gibt auch hier das tolle neue Set Herzen-Die-Lights, in dem sechs Herzen in verschiedenen Formen und Größen enthalten sind.

The great thing is, that there is not only the box coming to you but also 4 extra dies to create the banner to put on top. There's a matching text for every occasion.

The box measures 8 x 5 cm put together and so there's enough room for a little something to give away.

I decorated it with some white twine and used dimensional tape to fix the decoration on top. A little rhinestone is glued down to the heart for a little bling. I used a punch to cut out my heart but there is also a great new die-lights set called Hearts Die-Lights. It contains 6 dies of hearts in different sizes and shapes.

Bevor wir aber gefahren sind, habe ich mein Werk für den Copic Marker Europe Blog gemacht - und war dabei schon voll in Urlaubsstimmung!

We are on holidays right now and put our feets in the hot sand.

Before we left I made my creation for the Copic Marker Europe Blog - and I have already been in a holiday mood!

Und darum habe ich statt einer Karte diesen Flip-Flop-Hänger gemacht. 

Eine Anleitung mit Pattern findet Ihr bei Andrea und Clarissa. Ich habe mir die Form von meiner Cameo schneiden lassen... *faul*

And so I made this flip flop hanger instead a card.

Als Motiv habe ich die süßen Strandhäuser und Tilda im Sand kombiniert - wie genau ich das Motiv coloriert habe, könnt Ihr auf dem CME nachlesen.

Whiff Of Joy Challenge # 161

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heutet startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy - diesmal mit dem Thema braun, weiß/creme und pink.

Hello everyone!

Today a new challenge is going live over at Whiff Of Joy - this time our theme is the color combo of brown, white/cream and pink.

Ich musste einfach ein weiteres neues Motiv aus der Sew Cute Kollektion verwenden und habe damit dieses Tag gemacht.

Die Ränder des Tags sind mit pinkfarbenem Frantage Embossing Enamel überzogen, anschließend habe ich die Sewing Patterns von SU auf den Tag gestempelt. 

Die Nähmaschine ist eine ältere Stanze - keine Ahnung mehr, von wem - bei einem der neuen Die-Light Sets von Whiff Of Joy ist aber auch eine wunderschöne Nähmaschine enthalten.

Dazu dann die Garnspule, etwas Schnörkel und der Scheren-Charm - aus der neuen Charmbox von Whiff Of Joy.

Und der Text kommt gratis mit dem Stempel!

I just had to use another image of Whiff Of Joy's new Sew Cute Collection and made a tag.

The edges of the tag are covered by Frantage Embossing Enamel, then I stamped the Sewing Patterns stamp by SU on my tag.

The sewing machine is cut using an older die which I forgot the brand of - but one of the new Die-Light sets has a great sewing machine also!

I added the yarn roll, a flourish and the scissors charm - it's from Whiff Of Joy's newest charm box.

And the saying comes free with the image stamp!

Der Stempel ist aus der neusten Serie von Whiff Of Joy, Free Spirit, leicht manga-angehaucht und wunderbar realisitisch, trotzdem nicht zu erwachsen. 

This stamp is from the newest serie of stamps by Whiff Of Joy, Free Spirit. It's a little manga styled and wonderfully realistic but still not too adult looking.

Ich habe ein Strick-Körbchen gestaltet, geschnitten mit meiner Cameo und einer Picknick-Korb-Vorlage von SVG Cuts.

Meine Mutter hat von je her gestrickt, egal wo wir waren, am liebsten aber im Urlaub. Und dann hat auch mich meist das Fieber gepackt und so habe ich mit zwei Bleistiften auf dem Rücksitz des Autos versucht, einen Pulli für meine Puppe zu stricken. Und so ein Körbchen wäre damals genau das richtige gewesen, um mein "Werk" vor Sand und Wasser geschützt unterzubringen.

I made a knitting basket, cut with my Cameo and a cutting file for a picnic basket by SVG Cuts.

My mom has always been knitting, no matter when or where we were, but mostly when we were on vacation. And then also I got hooked and each year I have been sitting on the backseat of our car, trying to make a pullover for my doll by using my mom's yarn and two pencils. I would have loved one of these baskets to save my work from sand and water.

Da meine Stricknadeln immer noch in irgendeinem Umzugskarton stecken, habe ich mir mit Schaschlick-Spießchen beholfen, die dann auch hier als Stricknadeln mit im Korb stecken.

Oben auf dem einen Teil des Deckels habe ich noch ein paar Blumen angebracht, der Korb ist mit einer Spitzenbordüre umsäumt.

Und der Text ist einer der beiden, die mit dem Stempel kommen.

Since my knitting needles are still somewhere stored in a moving box I used two wooden meat sticks here to knit my decoration and also put those as knitting needles in the basket.

On top of the basket I placed a few flowers, the basket has a lace border all around the brim.

And the saying used is one of the two that come with the stamp.

Only a few days left until there will be released some georgeous new stamps by Whiff Of Joy. 'T'hey are perfect for every crafter!

And today I am giving you a first sneak peak of one of those images...

"Sew Cute" bzw. auf Deutsch "Niedliches Nähen" ist der Name dieses tollen Maya-Stempels. Allein der zufriedene Ausdruck im Gesicht der Katze bringt mir schon ein Lächeln auf die Lippen. Und ich sehe so viele Gelegenheiten, zu denen ich ihn verwenden kann.

Und der Text - zusammen mit einem weiteren - ist auch beim Stempel enthalten!

"Sew Cute" is the name of this great Maya stamp. And only the cat's happy smile puts a smile in my own face. And I can see this stamp used for so many different occasions and projects.

And this saying - together with a second one - come also with this image!

Für heute habe ich ein überdimensionales Garntab gemacht. Geschnitten habe ich das mit der Cameo und mit Häkelgarn umwickelt. 

Auf der Rückseite ist dann eine normal große Karte angebracht, so dass man den Tag auch beschreiben kann.

For my sneak I made a huge yarn tag. I cut it with my Cameo and wrapped it with yarn.

On the backside I added a normal size card so there can be written on it.
