LawnFawnatics Challenge #154 - Into the Woods

Das Thema der LawnFawnatics Challenge #154 ist "into the woods" - also im Wald. Da das aktuelle Wetter ja alles andere als sommerlich ist, fiel mir zu diesem Thema sofort Herbst ein. Und so ist diese herbstliche Szene aus dem Wald entstanden, bei der die Eichhörnchen schon fleißig Vorräte für den Winter sammeln.

The theme of the current LawnFawnatics Challenge #154 is "into the woods". Since the weather really hasn't been summer-ish lately, I immediately thought of fall. And so I made this fall-ish scene in the woods, where the little squirrels are busy collecting acorns and nuts for the winter.

Hier habe ich, wie fast immer, einige Stempel- und Stanzensets kombiniert. LawnFawn hat da aber auch ein Händchen für, alles aufeinander abzustimmen.

Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück hellblauer Cardstock, den ich mit der Stitched Windy Backdrop Stanze ausgestanzt und dann von unter her ein wenig mit Distress Oxide Broken China gewischt habe. Darauf befindet sich eine von drei Grasbordüren - diese hier aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt. Und wiederum darauf habe ich die Bäume des Waldes gepflanzt - die Birken mit dem Birch Stanzenset aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die dicken aus taupe farbenem Cardstock mit der Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop. Dann habe ich beide mit Copics sowie einem weißen Gelstift coloriert.

Here  - like I do most times when making a card with stamps and dies by LawnFawn - I combined a few stamp and die sets. They really know how to make everything work with each other!

In the background there's a piece of light blue cardstock, that I first cut with the Stitched Windy Backdrop, then inked it from the bottom with a bit of Distress Oxide Broken China. On top I put one of in total three grass borders, this one die cut from dark green cardstock. And on top of that I planted the trees of my woods. I die cut the birch trees from white cardstock using the Birch die set, the larger trees I die cut from taupe cardstock with the Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop. Then I used my Copics and a white gel pen to color them. 

Auf der linken Seite der Karte springt ein Eichhörnchen mit einer Nuss im Mund durch die Bäume. Wie fast alle Motive der Karte ist es aus dem Set Let's Go Nuts. Die kleine Eichel - die noch ein paar weitere Male auf der Karte erscheint - ist aus dem Set Cheery Christmas. 

Und hier seht Ihr auch den Text der Karte. Den habe ich aber erst ganz zum Schluss aufgeklebt, weil ich mir nicht sicher war, ober auf der Karte überhaupt Platz für einen Text ist. Und jetzt ist er sogar direkt in der Mitte der Karte untergekommen. Ich habe ihn mit weißem Embossingpulver auf dunkelbraunen Cardstock embosst. Auch der Text ist aus dem Set Let's Go Nuts.

On the left side of the card a little squirrel is jumping between the trees, carrying a little acorn in his mouth. Most of the images here are from the Let's go Nuts stamp set. This acorn - that will appear a few more times on this card - is from the Cheery Christmas stamp set.

And you can also see the text of the card on this picture. I added this as the very last step of making this card, because I wasn't sure if there will be any room at all for a text. Now it is even placed right in the center. I white heat embossed it onto some dark brown cardstock. Also the text is from the Let's go Nuts stamp set.

Auf der rechten Seite hört der Wald auf - hier haben die Eichhörnchen ein Eichelhaus gebaut. Es ist mit dem Big Acorn Stanzenset gemacht, allerdings habe ich das Fenster des Pumpkin Houses benutzt. Der Zaun ist aus dem Stanzenset Build a House Spring Add-On, dahinter wachsen Sonnenblumen aus dem Set Happy Harvest. Und oben auf dem Dach freut sich eines der Eichhörnchen wahnsinnig über die vielen Eicheln, die schon gesammelt wurden. Das sieht man an der kleinen Sprechblase mit dem Herz, ebenfalls aus dem Cheery Christmas Stempelset.

On the right side the woods end - and here the squirrels built their acorn house. It's made using the Big Acorn die set, but I used the window from the Pumpkin House set. The fence is from the Build a House Spring Add-On set, behind it are growing some sunflowers from the Happy Harvest stamp set. And on the roof a little squirrel is over the moon over all those acorns that have been collected already. You can tell that from the little speech bubble with the heart, that also comes from the Cheery Christmas stamp set.

Unten quer über die Karte ist am meisten los. Zwischen zwei weiteren Lagen Gras - aus leicht unterschiedlich hellen Grüntönen gestanzt - sind viele Eichhörnchen unterwegs. Die vorderste Lage Gras habe ich mit ein wenig Distress Oxide Bundled Sage gewischt und mit grüner Metallic Watercolor bespritzt.

Der Baumstumpf mit dem Loch ist aus dem Stanzenset Lift the Flap Meadow Stanzenset hat praktischerweise ein Loch, das die Eichhörnchen als Vorratskammer nutzen können. Die Klappe habe ich abgeschnitten und das Loch dunkel hinterlegt.

Oben auf dem Baumstumpf schläft ein erschöpftes Eichhörnchen zwischen einigen der gesammelten Eicheln. 

Im Gras bzw. um die Bäume herum wachsen einige Pilze. Die sind mit den Stanzen Mushroom Border sowie dem Pilz aus dem Build a Tree House gemacht. 

Außerdem sind hier noch weitere Eichhörnchen fleißig am Werk - eines mit Bollerwagen samt kleinem Freund und eines zu Fuß.

Alle Motive auf der Karte sind mit Copics coloriert, ebenso wie die Stanzteile, die ich fast alle aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt habev.

At the bottom, across the card, there's going on the most. Between two more layers of grass, cut from green cardstock in just slightly different tones, a lot of squirrels are working hard to prepare for winter. I inked the top layer of grass a bit with Distress Oxide Bundled Sage and flicked some green metallic watercolor onto it.

The tree trunk with the hole is from the Lift the Flap Meadow die set - it has a hole that comes pretty handy so the squirrels can use it as a pantry. I cut off the flap and put some dark colored cardstock behind it.

On top of the tree trunk a tired squirrel is taking a nap between a few acorns.

In the grass, around the trees, there are growing some mushrooms. I used the Mushroom Border die set and the little mushroom die from the Build a Tree House die set here.

And there are a few more squirrels working hard - one with a cart and his little friend, the other one is on foot.

All images on the card are colored with Copics, as are the die cuts, that I nearly all cut from colored cardstock.

Ich habe alle Lagen und Elemente aufeinander und dann auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Dafür habe ich 3D Tape benutzt, so dass die Szene eine tolle Tiefe bekommt. Dann habe ich noch einige bunte Herbstblätter auf der Karte verteilt. Die sind mit den Ranken-Stanzen aus dem Set Pumpkin House gestanzt, coloriert, dann habe ich sie von den Ranken abgeschnitten. Für die etwas größeren Blätter habe ich eine Stanze aus dem Set Acorn House gemacht.

Dann habe ich alles nur noch auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

I put all the layers and elements together and onto the background using foam tape. This adds a nice depth to the card. Then I added a few colorful leaves - made using the vine die from the Pumpkin House die set. I die cut and colored them, then cut them off the vines. The few slightly larger leaves are made with dies from the Acorn House die set.

Then I mounted everything onto a white note card.

Heute darf ich wieder ein Werk auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeigen - und ich habe natürlich noch einmal eines der tollen Stempelsets aus dem neuen Release verwendet. Diesmal ziert der süße Mäuse-Junge eine Babykarte, mit dem Teddy in der Hand finde ich ihn dafür perfekt.

Today it's my turn to share another card over on the Stampcorner Blog - and of course I used one of the stamp sets from the latest release again. This time this cute boy mouse is the star of a baby card, with the teddy in his hand I think he's just perfect for this kind of card.

Die Idee für den Hintergrund kam mir, als ich für eine meiner Sneak-Karten das Wort Hello mehrfach aus einem Stück Cardstock gestanzt habe. Als ich die Worte dann so untereinander sah, fand ich, das würde auch einen tollen Hintergrund geben. Also habe ich es hier dreimal aus craft farbenem Cardstock gestanzt und dabei darauf geachtet, dass die Abstände zu den Rändern und zwischen den Worten gleich waren. 

Mit nur ein wenig dunklerer brauner Tinte habe ich dann den Best Friends Background von MFT darauf gestempelt. Der Stempel ist schon älter, Ihr könnt natürlich jeden anderen Hintergrundstempel genauso verwenden. 

Hinterlegt habe ich den braunen Cardstock dann mit hellblauem Cardstock. Auf den habe ich mit dunkelblauer Tinte den ebenfalls neuen Strahlenstempel aufgestempelt. 

Auf beide Cardstockstücke habe ich dann noch etwas mit Wasser verdünntes Copic Opaque White aufgespritzt.

I got the idea for the background when I die cut the word hello several times from a piece of cardstock for one of my sneak cards. When I looked at the cardstock with the cut out words, I decided, this would make a great background. So I die cut the words three times from kraft colored cardstock, making sure to have the same spaces between the words and to the edges. 

Using a slightly darker brown ink I stamped the Best Friends Background by MFT onto the cardstock. It's a quite old stamp but of course you can use any kind of background stamp here.

Then I put a piece of light blue cardstock behind the brown one. Before I stamped the also new rays stamp with dark blue ink onto the light blue cardstock.

Onto both cardstock pieces I spritzed some Copic Opaque White, that I had mixed with a bit of water.

 

 Den süßen Mäusejungen habe ich passend zu den Farben auf meiner Karte in graubraun, hell- und dunkelblau coloriert, die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Dann habe ich ihn ausgeschnitten. Und weil er auf dem Hintergrund doch irgendwie unterging - und ich zufällig noch die mittlere Ausstanzung des Wonky Stitch Window aus Vellum auf meinem Tisch liegen hatte, habe ich das dahinter gesetzt. So fällt er viel besser auf, man kann den Hintergrund aber noch gut lesen.

Die Texte auf meiner Karte sind aus den Stempelsets Kleine Worte und Kleine Worte 2. Ich habe sie mit weißem Embossingpulver auf dunkelblauen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten.

Die Maus habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf das Vellum und das dann wieder mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, für die Textstreifen habe ich dickes 3D Tape verwendet.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar kleine Holzsterne auf der Karte verteilt.

The cute mouse I colored matching the colors on my card in a brown-ish grey, light and dark blue, for the highlights I used a white gel pen. Then I cut him out. And since he kind of got lost on the busy background - and I literally had the center cut out of the Wonky Stitch Window cut from vellum laying in front of me - I put that behind him. Now he's better noticable, but still the background is legable as well.

The texts on this card mean "hipp hipp hooray, it's a boy" and "welcom from the bottom of my heart". I white heat embossed them onto dark blue cardstock and cut them out.

I attached the mouse with thin foam tape to the vellum and then used thin foam tape again to adhere it to the background. To attach the text strips I used thick foam tape.

To decorate my card I added a few small wooden stars.

Hier kann man die verschiedenen Ebenen der Karte nochmal besser sehen.

Zun Schluss habe ich alles nur noch auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

To finish it, I just put everything onto a white note card.

Farm Fresh Butt Nuggets

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Kennt Ihr das - in Eurem Leben spielt etwas plötzlich eine Rolle und schon seht Ihr überall passende Stempel und Stanzen? So ging es mir hier. Bei uns sind nämlich vor ein paar Wochen vier Hühner in den Garten gezogen. Sie legen fleißig Eier - und die können wir zu zweit gar nicht alle essen oder verarbeiten. Also werden natürlich Familie, Freunde und Kollegen immer wieder mal mit ein paar Eiern bedacht. Und ich dachte mir, da wäre es doch schön, wenn man, zumindest wenn sie als Mitbringsel gedacht sind, den Eierkarton ein wenig passend dekoriert. Na, und als ich dann das Butt Nuggets Stempelset und das Slimline Chicken Coop Stanzenset von WhimsyStamps entdeckt habe, war es um mich geschehen. Angefangen habe ich erstmal mit einer Karte....

Are you like me - something new comes into your life and all of a sudden you see stamps and dies, that go perfectly with this new thing in your life, everywhere. Well, a few weeks ago four chickens moved into our garden. They are laying eggs daily, but us just being two left in the house just can't eat them all. So of course we give them to family, friends and co-workers. So I thought, at least if I bring them as a thank you to someone, it would be nice to decorate the egg carton. So when I came across the Butt Nuggets stamp set and Slimline Chicken Coop die set by WhimsyStamps I just had to have them. I started with a card....

Nun, der Humor der Karte ist sicher nicht für jeden, aber ich lieben ihn. 

Ich habe den Hühnerstall aus hell-aqua farbenem Cardstock, die Holzteile aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Den Stall habe ich mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina etwas gewischt, die Holzteile sind mit Distress Oxide Lost Shadow etwas schattiert.

Wir haben zwei weiße und zwei schwarze Hühner, also habe ich die Hühner auf meiner Karte passend coloriert - das zweite schwarze Huhn hatte hier leider keinen Platz mehr.

Well, the humor of this card for sure isn't for everyone, but I love it!

I die cut the chicken coop from light aqua cardstock, the wooden pieces are cut from cream colored cardstock. Then I used Distress Ink Salvaged Patina to shade the coop and Distress Oxide Lost Shadow to add some shading to the wood pieces.

We have two white and two black chickens, so I made the ones on my card match - the second black chicken just isn't around at the moment...

Auf der rechten Seite des Hühnerstalls befindet sich ein großes Fenster mit Drahtgitter. Das Gitter habe ich aus mattsilbernem Metalliccardstock gestanzt. Hinter das Fenster habe ich etwas dunkler türkisfarbenen Cardstock gesetzt, den ich mit Distress Ink Broken China an den Rändern noch etwas abgedunkelt habe. Darauf befinden sich zwei Regale mit Nestern aus Heu. In einem der Nester sitzt ein Huhn, im anderen befinden sich zwei frisch gelegte Eier. Die Eier sind aus dem Schöne Ostern Set von Create a Smile, die Nester habe ich aus hellgelbem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Auch für alle anderen Motive habe ich Copics benutzt.

Außen am Rahmen des Fensters hat noch ein weitere Huhn ein Nest gefunden. Absolut genial finde ich aber das Küken, das so entsetzt über die harte Realität des Lebens ist. Der "Dialekt" ist einfach zu süß!

On the right side of the chicken coop there's a large window with some chicken wire. I die cut the chicken wire from matte silver metallic cardstock. Behind the window I placed a piece of darker turquoise cardstock and inked the edges a bit with Distress Ink Broken China. On top I put two shelves with nests. There's a chicken sitting on one of the nests, in the other one there are two fresh laid eggs. The eggs are from the Schöne Ostern stamp set by Create a Smile, die nests are die cut from light yellow cardstock and colored with Copics. I also used Copics to color all the other images.

On the outside of the window frame another chicken found a cozy nest. But I absolutely love the little chickie, that's so shocked about the hard reality of life. His "slang" just cracks me up!

Links am Stall befindet sich die Tür. Ich habe sie zweimal zusätzlich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt - sie wird eigentlich in den Stall gestanzt und war damit hellblau - und aus einem der weißen Teile einen Rahmen geschnitten. Dann habe ich die Teile auf die blaue Tür geklebt.

Für die Dekoteile habe ich schwarz-metallischen Cardstock sowie wieder mattsilbernen Metallic-Cardstock benutzt. 

Den Ausspruch des kleinen Kükens habe ich in eine Sprechblase, gestanzt mit einer Stanze von MamaElephant, gestempelt.

Und oben auf dem Stall sitzt ein weiteres Huhn im Nest. Daneben steht ein Schild, das die frischen Eier anpreist und gleich den Preis verrät. Den Text hier habe ich in eine Schild aus dem Coffee Shop House Builder Add-On Set von HoneyBeeStamps gestempelt - das musste ich nur sowohl in der Höhe als auch in der Breite vergrößern. 

On the left side of the coop there's a door. I die cut it twice from white cardstock - originally it gets cut with the coop and would be light aqua - and then cut a frame from one of the white pieces. Then I adhered the white parts on top of the blue door.

For the hardware pieces I used some black-metallic cardstock and again the matte silver mettalic cardstock.

The text I stamped onto a speech bubble, die cut with a die by MamaElephant.

And on top of the coop another chicken is sitting on her nest. Next to her there's a sign, announcing the fresh farm eggs and their price. I stamped the text onto a sign from the Coffee Shop House Builder Add-On set by HoneyBeeStamps - I just had to made it larger both in width and length.

Einfach auf eine normale Slimline Card geklebt, hat mir der Stall nicht gefallen, also habe ich beschlossen, meine ganze Karte in Form des Stalls zu gestalten. Da aber das Fenster mit der Basis-Form des Stalls gestanzt wird, konnte ich die Stanze nicht benutzen. Also habe ich die Stanze auf einen schwarzen Slimline-Kartenrohling gelegt und mit einem Bleistift nachgefahren. Dann habe ich entlang der Linien mit der Schere geschnitten. So habe ich eine oben gefaltete Karte in Form des Stalls, die ein klein wenig größer als mein dekorierter Stall ist. Der schwarze Rand außenherum gefällt mir super.

I didn't like my coop on a regular slimline card base, so I've decided to make my whole card the shape of a coop. Since the window gets cut with the base coop I wasn't able to use the die for my shaped card. Instead I placed the die on a black slimline card and traced the outlines with a pencil, then cut it out with my scissors. This way I ended up with a top fold, chicken coop shaped card, that's just a bit larger than my actual coop. I really like the small black border.

Und hier kann man noch sehen, dass ich zum Zusammensetzen meines Hühnerstalls dickes und dünnes 3D Tape verwendet habe. Der komplette Stall ist mit dickem Tape auf den Rohling geklebt, so dass das Innere hinter dem Fenster zurückversetzt ist (das habe ich dann natürlich direkt auf den Kartenrohling geklebt). Die Holzteile sind mit dünnem Tape aufgeklebt, so dass die Rahmen etwas erhöht sind. Gleich gilt für das kleine Küken samt Sprechblase.

And here you can see, that I used thick and thin foam tape to put my chicken coop together. The whole coop is put with thick tape onto the card base, so the inside behind the window is put back a bit (of course I attached that directly to the base). The wooden pieces are attached with thin tape so the frames are a bit higher than the coop, same goes for the little chicken and the speech bubble.

Heute zeige ich Euch die zweite Karte, zu der ich während der Rudel-Inspirations-Aktion von Create a Smile inspiriert wurde. Wobei inspiriert ein wenig übertrieben ist. Aber beim Schauen durch die Fotos auf der Suche nach "meiner" Inspirationskarte, habe ich auch eine Slider Card gesehen und sofort eine Idee dazu im Kopf. Die hat vom Design her überhaupt nichts mit der eigentlichen Karte zu tun - und eine Slider Card ist es am Ende auch nicht geworden. Aber die Idee zu der Karte musste aus meinem Kopf.

Today I am sharing the second card I made during the inspiration event by Create a Smile. Actually there wasn't a specific card I tried to copy - it was just that I came across a slider card while going through the pictures, looking for inspiration. I immediately had an idea in mind. This has nothing to do with the design of this other slider card, and in the end it even didn't become a slider card. But I had that idea in mind and just had to turn it into a card.

Der Hintergrund hier ist eigentlich genauso gemacht wie auf der Karte, die ich Euch am Sonntag gezeigt habe. Wenn schon alles auf dem Tisch liegt und der Hintergrund auch hier perfekt passt.... Ich kopiere einfach mal den Text aus dem Blogpost hier rein, falls Ihr diese Karte verpasst haben solltet: 

Für diese Karte habe ich im Hintergrund erst den Sand mit der Winter Day Stencil - für den welligen Rand - und Distress Oxide Frayed Burlap aufgewischt und etwas braune Metallic Watercolor und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Anschließend habe ich mit Salty Ocean einen Streifen Meer und darüber mit Tumbled Glass den Himmel gewischt. Am Meeresrand habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift Schaum aufgemalt und außerdem eine Reflektionen auf das Wasser gemalt.

Aus hellbraunem Cardstock habe ich dann mit der Winter Landscape Stanze noch eine schmälere Lage Sand gestanzt und auf die selbe Weise eingefärbt/bespritzt, wie auch den Sand auf dem Hintergrund. 

Hach, kann Blogpost schreiben schnell gehen! ;) Hier habe ich beim Aufspritzen der Farben auf den Sand irgendwie den falschen Pinsel erwischt, deswegen ist der Sand recht grobkörnig geworden.  

The background here is made nearly identically as the one on the card I shared with you sunday. I had everything on my table and the background fits this card as perfectly as it did the other design. I simply copy the text from sunday's blogpost for the background in case you didn't read it: 

For this card I first did the sand in the background with the Winter Day stencil - for the wavy edge - and Distress Oxide Frayed Burlap, then flicked some brown metallic watercolor and white acrylic paint on top.

Then I added a strip of ocean using Salty Ocean and above it the sky with Tumbled Glass. I used a white gel pen to add some foam to the area where the waves come onto the beach and also to add some reflections to the water.

From light brown cardstock I die cut a thinner strip of sand using the Winter Landscape die and then treated it the same way I created the sandy layer on the background.

Wow, writing blog posts can be really quick! Here I accidently grabbed the wrong brush when doing my spatters so the sand looks pretty coarsley.

 

 Und hier sind meine Möwen - das war ja Bedingung, sie auf der inspirierten Karte zu verwenden. Und ich hatte sofot die Idee, sie mit dem Wagen voller Schätze zu kombinieren. Als Umzugskarte natürlich perfekt, auch wenn ich nicht vorhabe, wirklich umzuziehen. 

Wie gesagt, war die eigentliche Idee, eine Slider Card zu machen und die Möwen am Strand entlangziehen zu lassen. Aber als ich den Wagen dann beladen hatte, war er durch die vielen Dinge etwas instabil - und er ist auch nur durch ein dünnes Stück Cardstock mit der vorderen Möwe verbunden. Da war mir das etwas zu riskant und ich habe mich dazu entschieden, sie fest auf der Szene zu verankern. 

Der Wagen ist natürlich aus dem Set Wagen voller Schätze - ich habe den Koala weggeschnitten und durch die Möwe aus dem Set Weihnachtsmöwen ersetzt. Aus dem Set ist auch die zweite Möwe, die sich so gemütlich durch den Sand ziehen lässt. Ich bin sicher, sie sorgt nur dafür, dass nichts vom Wagen fällt. Von einer der Ladungen aus dem Set Wagen voller Schätze habe ich nur den Umzugskarton ganz links und den Schirm verwendet. Alle anderen Dinge sind aus verschiedenen Stempelsets zusammengesammelt: der Poller und der Fisch aus dem Set Möwengang, der Sandeimer und die Schaufel aus dem Set Beach Party, der Ball aus dem Set Saumäßig und der Rettungsring aus dem Set Sommer Minis. Und zu all den Habseligkeiten haben die beiden auch noch beschlossen, ein Schild mit der Umzugsanzeige oben auf den Wagen zu packen. Für das Schild habe ich das Holzbrett aus dem Set Hammer benutzt - zweimal für das Schild und nur die linke und rechte Kante abgestempelt für den Pflock. Den Text aus dem Set Wagen voller Schätze habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver auf das Schild embosst.

Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Die Deichsel am Wagen habe ich ein wenig verlängert und in eine Schnur verwandelt, deren Ende vom Flügel der vorderen Möwe herabbaumelt. 

Am Himmel sind wieder drei kleine Wolken, gemacht mit den Weather Stanzen, unterwegs. Und weil das Meer links ein wenig leer aussah, habe ich dort noch ein kleines Segelschiff aus dem Set Sommer Minis eingebaut. 

And here are my sea gulls - they were asked to be used on the inspired card. And I immerdiately had the idea to combine them with the Wagen voller Schätze stamp set. I think, this is the perfect card to announce a move, even if I don't plan to acutally move houses.

As already mentioned, I had planned to make a slider card and let the gulls walk along the beach. But when I had loaded up the cart it was a bit instable, most likely due to all the stuff those gulls loaded onto it. And it's also only connected to the other gull with a thin strip of cardstock, so I thought it to be a bit too risky to make a slider card with the image and so I decided to simply glue everything onto the scene.

Of course the cart is from the Wagen voller Schätze stamp set - I cut off the coala and replaced it with the gull from the Weihnachtsmöwen stamp set. Also the other gull, that has decided to sit in the cart and let the other one do the work, is from this set. I am sure she's only making sure that nothing falls off the cart. I only used the box on the very left and the umbrella from the original load from the Wagen voller Schätze set. All the other stuff I picked from quite a few different stamp sets: the bollard and the fish from the Gull Gang set, the bucket and shovel from the Beach Party set, the ball from the Pig Out set and the swimring from the Sommer Minis set. And on top of all their stuff, those gulls have decided, to also load a sign onto the cart, announcing their move. For the sign I used the plank from the Hammer set - stamped twice for the actual sign and only the left and right sides for the handle. The text - meaning "we're moving" - is again from the Wagen voller Schätze set and white heat embossed onto the sign.

I colored all images with Copics and cut them out by hand. I also made the tongue a bit longer and turned it into a string whose other end is dangling down from the gull's wing.

In the sky there are again three little clouds, cut with the Weather die set. And since the ocean looked a bit plain on the left side, I added a little ship from the Sommer Minis stamp set there.

Wie schon auf der Karte von Sonntag habe ich die Motive mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann den Sandstreifen mit dickem 3D Tape davorgesetzt. Dann habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

As I did on the card I shared on sunday, I attached the images with thin foam tape, then adhered the strip of sand with thick foam tape. I matted the cardstock black and then attached everything to a white note card.

Are you ready for the third card I made on that "silly" day? I will get more serious again from tomorrow on, promised.

Ich habe Euch ja vor kurzem die Karte mit dem Stuck Duck Stempelset gezeigt. In diesem Set ist auch der Text, den ich auf dieser Karte verwendet habe. Er war Auslöser für die komplette Idee, denn ich fand den Text so klasse, dass ich ihn unbedingt verwenden wollte. Eigentlich war die Karte ganz einfach geplant - ein Loch mit Duct Tape und einer Schaufel, dazu der Text. Aber irgendwie kam dann alles anders.... Zuerst kam die Wiese dazu, dann war der Himmel im Vergleich zu leer und schließlich fielen mir noch diese Bösewichte in die Hände....

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt. Dann habe ich etwa Wasser darau gespritzt.

A few days ago I shared the card I used the Stuck Duck stamp set for. In this set there's also this text, that I used on today's card. It was what started this card, because I loved the text so much, I just had to make a card with it. The card was planned pretty simple - a hole, some Duct Tape and a shovel, combined with the text. But then everything went differently.... First I added the lawn, then the sky was too plain compared to the bottom and then I also came across those bad guys....

For the background I inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot and flicked a bit of water onto it.

Die Büsche und das Gras sind mit Stempeln aus dem Set Greener Grass von ColoradoCraft gemacht. Die Büsche habe ich mit Copics in kleinen Punkten coloriert, das Gras ist mit Distress Oxide Evergreen Bough, Rustic Wilderness und Black Soot gewischt. 

Für das Loch, das in die Wiese gegraben wurde, habe ich einen der Oval Shadows von MFT aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die beiden Erdhaufen sind aus dem Stempelset Construction Trucks von PrettyPinkPosh und die Schaufel aus dem Stanzenset Build a House Spring Add-On von LawnFawn. Die habe ich einmal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann den unteren Teil aus silberfarbenem Spiegelcardstock. Den Stiel habe ich mit Copics coloriert und auf den silbernen Teil einige Rostflecken aufgetupft. Die Duct Tape Rolle ist natürlich aus dem Set Stuck Duck - eigentlich ist das die, in das die Ente eingewickelt ist, aber die passte hier am besten. Und dann kamen natürlich noch die Bösewichte aus dem Set Hände Hoch von Create a Smile zum Einsatz. Zuerst hatte ich nur den Hasen coloriert und wollte ihn als Alleintäter verwenden, aber ich fand, zum Text passte eine zweite Figur besser - auch wenn eigentlich zu wenig Platz auf der Karte war, so dasss ich dem Eichhörnchen ein wenig vom Schwanz wegschneiden musste. 

The bushes and grass are made using stamps from the Greener Grass set by ColoradoCraft. I colored the bushes with Copics, filling the areas with small dots, the grass I inked with Distress Oxide Evergreen Bough, Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot. 

For the hole, that has already been dug into the lawn, I die cut one of the Oval Shadows by MFT from white cardstock and colored it with Copics. The two piles of soil are from the Construction Trucks stamp set by PrettyPinkPosh and the shovel is made with a die from the Build a House Spring Add-On die set by LawnFawn. I diecut it once from white cardstock and the bottom also from silver mirror cardstock. I colored the handle with Copics and also added a few dots in reds and oranges onto the shovel for a rusty look. Of course the Duct Tape is from the Stuck Duck set. It's the one that the duck is wrapped up in but it just fit my scene best. And then of course I used the bad guys from the Hands Up stamp set by Create a Smile. Originally I had only colored the bunny but then decided, that a second image would go better with the text - even if there wasn't enough room and I had to cut off a bit of the squirrel's tail.

Hinter die Büsche habe ich zwei Bäume, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, gepflanzt. Der linke ist mit dem Stanzenset Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape von LawnFawn gemacht, für den rechten habe ich die Bare Tree Stanze von Sheena Douglas verwendet. Der Baum rechts ist eigentlich riesig, ich habe hier nur einen kleinen Teil verwende.t

Und durch die Zweige der Bäume scheint der Mond. Der ist mit den Moon Stencils von Tim Holtz und cremefarbenem Cardstock sowie Distress Ink Antique Linen, Lost Shadow und Hickory Smoke gemacht. 

In die Mitte des Himmels habe ich den Text weiß aufembosst und weil meine Bäume da schon klebten und ich so keine Sterne mehr aufspritzen konnte, habe ich die mit einem silbernen Gelstift einzeln aufgetupft.

Behind the bushes I planted two trees, cut from black cardstock. The left one is made using the Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape set by LawnFawn, for the right one I used the Bare Tree die by Sheena Douglas. This right one is enormous and I only used a part of it here.

Trhough the branches you can see the moon. I used the Moon stencils by Tim Holtz, sone cream colored cardstock and Distress Ink Antique Linen, Lost Shadow and Hickory Smoke for it.

Into the center of the sky I white hea embossed the text. And since I had already glued down the trees I wasn't able to spatter some stars onto the sky. So I used a silver gel pen and added individual dots.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles zusammengesetzt. Die Bäume und Büsche sind direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, das Gras habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape befestigt. Und bei den Motiven habe ich dünnes 3D Tape für die beiden Bösewichte und dickes für den kleinen Erdhaufen verwendet. Zum Schluss habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Then I put my scene together. The trees and bushes are glued directly onto the background, for the grass I used some thin foam tape. And with the images I used thin foam tape for the two bad guys and thick one for the small pile of soil. Then I matted everything black and adhered it to a white note card.

Create a Smile Rudel-Inspiration

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Zum verregneten Wochenende hat Christine in der Create a Smile Gruppe zur Rudel-Inspirations Aktion aufgerufen. Man sollte sich von einer Karte eines anderen Gruppenmitglieds als inspirieren lassen und dann eine Karte werkeln. Um das ganze zusätzlich etwas "schwerer" zu machen, sollten außerdem die Möwen verwendet werden.

Ich habe durch die Bilder der Gruppe geclickt und bin an einer Karte von Katja Schmidt hängengeblieben, die ich schon vor einiger Zeit echt klasse fand. Sie hat das Holzbrett aus dem Set Hammer verwendet, um damit Namen auf einer Karte zu schreiben. Schon als sie die Karte gepostet hat, dachte ich, das merke ich mir. Aber es ist doch oft so, dass man diese Ideen dann trotzdem wieder vergisst. Darum finde ich diese Aktion so toll! Und beim Durckclicken durch die Bilder kam mir dann gleich noch eine Idee, die zeige ich Euch aber wann anders, denn hier gibt es keine direkte Karte als Inspiration - und die Zeit ist mir dann auch ausgegangen.

Right in time for the rainy weekend Chrstine started an event over in the Create a Smile FB group. You should get inspiration from the card of another group member and make a card. To make everything a bit "harder" we should also use the gull stamps.

I went through the pictures in the group and came across a card by Katja Schmidt, that I already loved when she posted it. She used the wood plank from the Hammer stamp set to write names on cards, and already back then I decided to remember that for a future card. But well, as it happens so often, I forgot about it. That's why I really love that event! And when going through the pictures I got another idea, but this card I am going to share with you on another day, because there isn't an actual card that I got the inspiration from - and then I also ran out of time.

Für diese Karte hier habe ich im Hintergrund erst den Sand mit der Winter Day Stencil - für den welligen Rand - und Distress Oxide Frayed Burlap aufgewischt und etwas braune Metallic Watercolor und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Anschließend habe ich mit Salty Ocean einen Streifen Meer und darüber mit Tumbled Glass den Himmel gewischt. Am Meeresrand habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift Schaum aufgemalt und außerdem eine Reflektionen auf das Wasser gemalt.

Aus hellbraunem Cardstock habe ich dann mit der Winter Landscape Stanze noch eine schmälere Lage Sand gestanzt und auf die selbe Weise eingefärbt/bespritzt, wie auch den Sand auf dem Hintergrund.

For this card I first did the sand in the background with the Winter Day stencil - for the wavy edge - and Distress Oxide Frayed Burlap, then flicked some brown metallic watercolor and white acrylic paint on top.

Then I added a strip of ocean using Salty Ocean and above it the sky with Tumbled Glass. I used a white gel pen to add some foam to the area where the waves come onto the beach and also to add some reflections to the water.

From light brown cardstock I die cut a thinner strip of sand using the Winter Landscape die and then treated it the same way I created the sandy layer on the background.

 

 Nun hatte Katja ja Namen mit den Brettern geschrieben - für ein Wort reichte der Platz auf meiner Karte aber nicht, und ich wollte eine normal-große Karte machen. Also habe ich mich für eine Zahl entschieden. 

Ich habe die Bretter mit Copics coloriert, alle ausgeschnitten und zu einer 47 zusammengestzt. Die Nägel habe ich mit einem scharzen Glaze Pen aufgemalt. Und hier habe ich dann ausnahmsweise alle Motive mal direkt an den Stempellinien ausgeschnitten und die Seiten des Cardstocks mit einem schwarzen Marker eingefärbt. Ich mag den Look mit weißen Linien außenrum lieber, aber hier passte es so einfach besser.

Die Möwen sind aus den Sets Möwengang und Weihnachtsmöwen, der Hammer aus dem Set Hammer. Um der Karte einen Geburtstagslook zu geben, habe ich mit dem Stencilset Wimpelkette noch ein Stück Geburtstagsgirlande gewischt. Ich habe Distress Oxide Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin und Salvaged Patina verwendet. Dann habe ich das Banner ausgeschnitten und oben ein Stück schwarzes Twine entlang geklebt. 

Naja, und passend zum Text unten auf der Karte habe ich dann noch einen Möwenschiss auf der Vier angebracht. Der und auch der Kopf des Hammers sind mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Am Himmel habe ich dann noch drei kleine Wolken, gemacht mit dem Weather Stanzenset, aufgeklebt. Und hier war auch Platz für einen meiner Texte aus dem Set Potzblitz. Beide Texte - der andere ist aus dem Set Möwengang - sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

Well, Katja had written names with those planks - but there wasn't enough room on my card and I wanted to stick to a regular sized card. So I went with numbers instead.

I colored the planks with Copics, cut them all out and put them together to form a 4 and a 7. The nails I added with a black Glaze pen. And here I did something I rarely do: I cut the images out exactly along the stamped lines and used a black marker to darken the edges of the paper. Usually I prefer the look with the thin white outlines, but here they just didn't fit.

The gulls are from the sets Möwengang and Weihnachtsmöwen, the hammer from the set Hammer. To add a birthday look to the card I added a little banner, made with the Wimpelkette stencil set and Distress Oxide Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Salvaged Patina. Then I cut the banner out and glued a piece of black twine along the top edge. 

Well, and to make the card match with the sentiment on the bottom of my card I added a bit of gull poo to the 4. I covered this and the hammer head with Glossy Accents.

To the sky I added three little clouds, made with the Weather die set. And up there was also room for one of my texts - it means "another year over?!". I white heat embossed both texts onto black cardstock.

Dann musste ich meine Karte nur noch zusammensetzen. Ich habe die Zahl mit der Möwen obendrauf mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, dann die zusätlzliche Sandschicht mit dickem 3D Tape hinzugefügt. Auf der habe ich dann die Möwe mit dem Hammer befestigt. Zum Schluss habe ich noch die Texte aufgeklebt, wieder mit dem dünneren Tape, und alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

Then all that was left to do was to put my card together. I attached the numbers and the gull on top of the 4 with thin foam tape to the background, then used thicker foam tape to add the additional sand layer. Onto that I adhered the gull with the hammer. Last I used the thin tape again to attach my texts and adhered everything to a white note card.

SuS-Karte #2

Es war wieder an der Zeit, den SuS, den Stapel unbenutzter Stempel, anzugehen. Diesmal war das Stempelset Stuck Duck von Miss Ink dran. Das hatte ich - glaube ich - letztes Jahr irgendwo gesehen und war sofort verliebt. Ich wollte es unbedingt haben, aber verwendet habe ich es noch nie. Ich weiß nicht mal mehr, ob ich es hier in Deutschland finden konnte, oder ob ich dafür sogar im Ausland bestellt habe! Nun, gleich als Warnung: auch diese Karte ist an meinem "albernen" Tag enstanden. Aber ich finde, für dieses Set muss man in einer albernen Laune sein!

It was time to work on decimate the POUF - Pile of unused Stamps - again. This time I used the Stuck Duck stamp set by Miss Ink. I think it was last year that I saw it somewhere and fell in love immediately. I wanted to have it so badly but haven't used it yet. I even don't remember if I was able to find it in a shop here in Germay or if I had to place an order in a different country for it. Well, be warned: also this card I made on the day that I was in a silly mood. But I think it's just the mood you have to be in for this set!

Für den Hintergrund habe ich erst eine Mauer mit einer Mauerstencil von MFT und Distress Ink Vintage Photo aufgewischt. Dann habe ich mit derselben Tinte den Best Friends Background von MFT darüber gestempelt, ihn aber bewusst nicht komplett eingefärbt, so dass der Text etwas fleckig wirkt. Anschließend habe ich noch schwarze Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

For the background I first inked a brick wall onto a piece of white cardstock using a brick wall stencil by MFT and Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Then I used the same ink to stamp the Best Friends Background by MFT onto the wall, inking the stamp up imperfectly on purpose so the text looks a bit splotchy. Then I also spritzed some black metallic cardstock onto the wall.

Hier ist die geniale Ente aus besagtem Stempelset - wobei ich die verschiedenen Texte fast noch besser finde. 

Ich habe die Ente und die zusätzlichen Duct Tape Stapel abgestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Da Duct Tape ja meist metallisch silbern ist, habe ich es hier mit einem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert. Unter die ausgeschnittenen Motive habe ich noch einen der Oval Shadows von MFT, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, geklebt.

Nun, ist es zufall dass meine Ene hier als Mann coloriert ist? Eher nicht. Ich finde, diese Karte zusammen mit einer Rolle Duct Tape an eine gute Freundin, die gerade Ärger mit einem Mann (Freund, Kollege, Chef....) hat, zaubert doch gleich ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Und das ist auch der Grund, warum ich den Best Friends Hintergrund benutzt habe. So etwas kann man nur einer wirklch guten Freundin schenken! 

Here's the great duck from said stamp set - but I think, the texts in the set are even more fun.

I stamped the duck and the additional piles of Duct Tape and colored everything with Copics. Since Duct Tape usually is a metallic silver, I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to make the tape a bit shiny. Behind the cut out images I put one of the Oval Shadows by MFT, die cut from black cardstock.

Well, do you think it's a coincidence that I colored my duck a male? Not really. I think, giving this card to a friend that currently has trouble with a male in her life - boyfriend, coworker, boss.... - will put a smile on her face immediately. That's also, why I've chosen the Best Friends Background stamp on top of the wall. This is a card you really can only give to a good friend!

Ich liebe diesen Text! Ich habe ihn mit schwarzer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit einem schwarzen Fineliner per Hand den Rahmen dazugemalt. Dann habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und an die Ecken jeweils kleinere Stück Duct Tape gesetzt, so dass es so aussieht, als wäre der Text damit an die Wand geklebt.

I love this text! I stamped it with black ink onto white cardstock and used a black fineliner to add the frame by hand. Then I put a black mat behind the cardstock and added smaller pieces of Duct Tape to the corners so now it looks like that was used to tape the sign to the wall.

Den Schatten und den höheren Tape-Stapel habe ich direkt, den kleineren Stapel und das Schild habe ich mit dünnem, die Ente - sorry, den Erpel - mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Dann habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I attached the shadow and the taller pile of tapes directly, the sign and the smaller pile of tape with thin and the duck with thick foam tape to the background. Then I matted it black and adhered everything to a white note card.

Für meinen heutigen Post auf dem Stampcorner Blog habe ich ein Stempelset aus dem neuen Release verwendet, das ich noch gar nicht benutzt hatte. Und dabei ist dieses kleine Schäfchen so süß!

For my post over on the Stampcorner Blog today I used a stamp set from the august release, that I hadn't used yet. It was time, because this little sheep is so cute!

Für den Hintergrund habe ich etwas Distress Ink Salty Ocean auf ein Stück Folie gedrückt, mit Wasser besprüht und mittig auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock gedrückt. Ich habe die Farbe trocknen lassen und dann noch zwei bis drei Mal die auf der Folie verbliebene Farbe daraufgelegt. Dabei habe ich darauf geachtet, dass viel Weiß auf dem Cardstock sichtbar bleibt. 

For the background I pressed my Distress Ink Salty Ocean ink pad onto a piece of acetate, misted it with water and then pressed it to the center of a piece of white cardstock. I dried the color and then repeated this step twice to three times, using up the left over ink on the foil and making sure, to keep a lot of white space on my cardstock.

Das Schäfchen und die Wolken kommen zusammen in einem Set. Ich habe alles abgestempelt und dann mit Copics coloriert. Ich dachte mir, warum nicht mal ein Schäfchen in graublau? Ich finde, das steht ihm echt gut. Für die Highlights habe ich wie immer einen weißen Gelstift benutzt. Dann habe ich die Motive ausgeschnitten. 

Als Boden, auf dem das Schäfchen sitzen kann, habe ich ein Oval aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und das Schäfchen daraufgeklebt.

Und dann wollte ich für meinen Text unbedingt ein Wortspiel mit Määh verwenden. Aber mir fiel nur "Määhry Christmas" ein - für diese Karte eher weniger passend. Also habe ich meine Stempelsets auf der Suche nach Inspiration durchsucht und bin über das Mega-Set gestolpert. Ha, das passte doch perfekt! Ich habe das Wort Mega daraus abgestempelt und dabei das E durch zwei Ä und ein H, für die ich andere Worte aus dem Set benutzt habe, ersetzt. Dann habe ich die Buchstaben ebenfalls mit Copics in hellblau coloriert und das Wort per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Das Liebe Grüße darunter ist aus dem ebenfalls neuen Stempelset Post für Dich. Ich habe es auf schwarzen Cardstock auf eine Zeile gestempelt - eigentlich ist der Text zweizeilig - und mit weißem Embossingpulver embosst. 

The sheep and the clouds come together in one set. I stamped the images and then colored them with Copics. I thought, why not make a grey-ish blue sheep for a change? And I think, this color suits him great. For the highlights I used a white gel pen again, then cut the images out.

As a ground for my sheep to sit on I die cut an oval from green cardstock and put my sheep on top.

And then I really wanted to use a pun including the german sound a sheep makes - which is mäh. But all I was able to come up with "mäh-ry christmas", which wouldn't have worked on my card. So I went through my stamp sets, looking for inspiration and came across the Mega Set. That was perfect! I stamped the word mega from this set, replacing the e with two ä and an h using different words from the same set. Then I colored the letters a light blue and cut the word out.

The subtext means "kind regards" (which seems to be very formal in english but isn't in german) so my sheep is sending giant greetings now. I white heat embossed that text onto black cardstock.

Die Wolken habe ich direkt auf den ge-ink-smooshten (was für ein Wort!) Hintergrund geklebt, das Schäfchen ist mit dünnem 3D Tape befestigt. Das Wort Määhga ist mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt, die Text darunter wieder mit dem dünneren. Als Deko, und um das kleine Herz im Text nochmal aufzugreifen, habe ich noch ein kleines weißes Herz über dem Schäfchen aufgeklebt.

Dann habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I glued the clouds directly onto the ink smooshed background, to attache the sheep I used thin foam tape. Behind the word määhga I put some thick foam tape and used thin foam tape behind the smaller text again. To decorate my card, and to repeat the small white heart in the text, I adhered a small white heart above the sheep's head.

Then I matted my cardstock black and attached it to a white note card.

Kennt Ihr diese Tage, an denen man in einer absolut albernen Stimmung ist? Mir ging es vor kurzem so - und das merkt man auch an dieser Karte, die an jenem Tag entstanden ist. Nun, leider war ich an diesem Tag nicht nur albern, sondern auch wahnsinnig produktiv. Und so folgen demnächst zwei weitere Karte mit etwas eigenartigen Szenen oder Themen... ;)

Do you know those days, when you are in a silly mood? It happened to me a little ago - and that's what you definately can see on this card, that I made that day. Well, unfortunately I was not only in a very silly mood that day, but also very productive. And so there will be two more cards with either a bit strange scenes or themes.... ;)

Angefangen hat alles damit, dass mir die Klostanze Potty von Create a Smile in die Hände gefallen ist und ich sie daraufhin unbedingt wieder mal verwenden wollte. Nach ein wenig hin und her war die Idee zu dieser Karte entstanden.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Windows Stencil und Distress Oxide Tea Dye verwendet. Ich wollte so einen "Oma-Klo" Look, da fand ich die Farbe für die Bodenfliesen passend. Nach dem Wischen habe ich etwas Wasser und rosegoldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Ganz unten auf dem weißen Cardstock habe ich den Text aufgestempelt - deswegen habe ich auch die Fliesen nicht bis dorthin gezogen. Der Text ist aus dem Set Scheiß Drauf  - und wie Ihr gleich sehen werdet, stammt diese Aussage nicht unbedingt von der Möwe.... Ich habe den Text mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Cardstock gestempelt.

It all started with me re-discovering the Potty die by Create a Smile in my stash and that made me want to use it right away. After a bit of thinking I came upt with this idea.

For the background I used the Windows stencil and Distress Oxide Tea Dye. I was after some kind of "grandma's bathroom" look, so I thought this color was perfect for the tiling on the floor. After I had inked the tiles onto the cardstock, I flicked some water and some rose gold metallic watercolor onto the cardstock.

At the very bottom I added my text - that's also why I didn't do the tiling all the way to the bottom. The text means "here the shit is steaming" - a german way to say that things aren't going as planned. And as you will see shortly, this is not necessarily what the sea gull would say.... I stamped the text with black ink onto the white cardstock.

Die Toilette habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt - der Spülkasten ist einfach ein Rechteck mit abgerundeten Ecken, der Drücker ist mit ein "Abfallstück" einer Stanze, mit der Mann Lochbindungen stanzen kann.

Passend zum Omalook, habe ich das Klo mit Copics einfach weiß und den Klodeckel schwarz coloriert. Naja, und wer kennt nicht diese hochflorigen Klovorleger, die bei Oma immer am Klo lagen? Auch der durfte auf meiner Karte nicht fehlen. Ich habe ihn mit einer der Rounded Corners Stanzen gemacht. Um zwei abgerundete und zwei eher kantige Ecken und außerdem ein Quadrat zu erhalten, habe ich mit einfach mit Partial Diecutting beholfen. Dann habe ich noch eine farblich passende Rüschenbordüre von hinten gegen den Cardstock geklebt.

Auf dem Klo sitzt eine der Möwen aus dem Set Möwengang. Auch sie ist mit Copics coloriert. 

I die cut the toilet from white cardstock - the water tank is simply a rectangle with rounded corners, the flush button is made using the cut out piece of a punch that is used for binding.

Matching the grandma's bathroom look I used my Copics to color the toilet white and the lid black. And who doesn't remember those fluffy carpets, grandma always had lying around the toilet? Of course I had to include one on my card. I made it using one of the Rounded Corners dies. To end up with two rounded and two sharper corners and also a square instead of an rectangle I simply did some partial diecutting. Then I also glued a ruffled border in a matching color to the back of my carpet.

On top of the toilet I placed a sea gull from the Gull Gang stamp set.

Um alle Elemente aufeinander und auf den Hintergrund zu kleben, habe ich dann dünnes, dickes und sogar aufgedoppeltes 3D Tape benutzt. So ergibt sich eine tolle Tiefenwirkung.

To put all elements together and adhere them to the background I used thin, thick and even doubled up foam tape. This way I get a pretty 3D scene.

Das tolle bei der Stanze ist, dass man den Klodeckel öffnen kann - und das kann man natürlich auch auf meiner Karte. Und hier sieht man dann auch, wer da so in der Patsche steckt. Es ist ein Goldfisch. Oben wartet die Möwe darauf, dass jemand das Klo öffnet und sie sich den Fisch schnappen kann, es besteht aber natürlich auch die Gefahr in der Kanalisation zu landen, egal ob aus Versehen weil jemand den Drücker betätigt oder einfach weil es der einzige Fluchtweg ist....

Die Klobrille ist ebenfalls schwarz coloriert, außerdem habe ich die Wasser ins Klo - eindeutig ein Hochspüler! - gemalt. Zuvor habe ich den Fisch gestempelt.

The great thing about this die is, that you can open the lid - and of course you can do that on my card as well. And here you can also see, who's in such trouble here: it's a goldfish. There's the gull on top of the toilet, waiting for someone to come and open the lid so she can catch the fish. But of course there's also a good chance that the fish will end up in the sewerage - no matter if by accident because someone flushes or just because this is the only way to escape...

I colored the toilet seat black as well and also added the water to the inside of the toilet. Before I stamped the fish into it.

Das Wasser und den Goldfisch habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Auf den Fisch habe ich zuvor etwas Stickles aufgetragen, damit seine Schuppen schön glänzen. Außerdem habe ich ihn mit einer zweiten Lage Glossy Accents überzogen, so dass er etwas höher als das Wasser drumherum ist.

I covered the goldfish and the water with Glossy Accents. Before I added a bit of Stickles to the fish to give him some nicely glittering scales. I also covered just the fish with a second layer of Glossy Accents to make him a bit higher than the water around him.
