Cute Card Thursday - birthday

Einen besonders schönen Donnerstag Morgen! Die Sonne scheint, die Vögel zwitschern - kann der Tag besser beginnen?
Kann er, denn es gibt eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Und es ist gleichzeitig der 4. Geburtstag des Challengeblogs. Und darum lautet unser Thema diese Woche auch "birthday".

A very happy thursday morning! The sun is shining, birds are singing - is there a better way to start theday?
Well, yes there is because we at Cute Card Thursday have a new challenge up for you. And it's also the 4th birthday of the challenge blog so our new theme is "birthday".

Beim Suchen nach dem passenden Motiv bin ich über dieses Digi von Mo Manning gestolpert und habe mich sofort verliebt. Beim Colorieren habe ich dann nach Lila gegriffen, einer Farbe, die ich ja nur äußerst selten verwende. Aber die Kombi hier gefällt mir prima. Passend zum Thema habe ich die Karte mit einer Girlande und einem Luftballon dekoriert. Den habe ich 3dimensional gestaltet, indem ich einfach 3 Luftballons in der Mitte gefaltet und nur dort aufeinander geklebt habe. Die Schnur ist mit der Nähmaschine gemacht. Zum Schluss fehlte mir dann noch der passende Text und nach einigem Suchen fiel mir der Stempel von Stampin'Up in die Hände. "Heute ist nicht der richtigte Tag für 'nur ein kleines Stückchen'" - wenn das nicht zum Motiv paßt. LOL

While looking for an image I came across this digi by Mo Manning and fell in love with it immediately. When doing the coloring I went with purple - a color I just use like only twice a year. But this combo was really fun to do. Matching the theme I went with a banner and a balloon as decoration. The balloon is 3dimensional. I cut 3 of them, fold them in the middle and only put glue on the fold. The string was made with my sewing machine. At the end I was only missing the right text. After some looking through my stash I found this stamp by Stampin' Up. "This is no day for 'just a sliver'" - isn't that the perfect one for that image? LOL

Wunderschönen Mittwoch Morgen!
Die Sonne ist immer noch Mangelware hier, aber in der Früh zwitschern die Vögel, die Krokusse und Schneeglöckchen blühen im Garten - der Frühling muss unterwegs sein! Und darum gibt es wieder eine Frühlingskarte von mir.
Entstanden ist sie für unsere neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Unser neues Thema ist ein Sketch:

Sunshine is still rare here but the birds are singing in the mornings, foxgloves are blooming in our garden - spring must be on its way! And so I am sharing another spring-ish card today. I made it for our new challenge at Whiff Of Joy Challenges. Our new theme is a sketch:

Ich habe hier "Hallo Marienkäfer" verwendet, der im letztjährigen Frühjahrs-Stempelkit enthalten war und nun als Einzelstempel zu bekommen ist. Und für alle, die nicht genug Frühlingsstempel haben, gibt es bei Whiff Of Joy gerade ein Sonderangebot für viele Frühlingsstempel, z. B. die süßen Zwerge von Norma Fickel.
Ich wollte meine Karte "schön leicht" machen und habe daher sehr viel Weiß benutzt, aufgelockert durch etwas grün und blau. So kommt auch das colorierte Motiv prima zur Geltung. Es ist mit Copics coloriert und auf die Herzen des Kleides habe ich farblosen Spica At You aufgetragen. Leider konnte ich das Glitzern/Schimmern nicht auf dem Foto einfangen...

I used "Hello Ladybug" here, one of the stamps that was included in last year's spring kit but it can be purchased as a single stamp. And for all of you that don't own enough spring stamps Whiff Of Joy is offering reduced prices on a lot of spring stamps, i.e. the cute gnomes by Norma Fickel.
I wanted my card to look "light" and so I used a lot of white with a little bit of blue and green. This also keeps the focus on the colored image. It was colored with Copics and I added Clear Spica At You on the hearts on her dress. Unfortunately I wasn't able to keep the shimmer and glimmer on the photo...

Naja, auch wenn die Sonne hier momentan nicht so richtig scheinen will - Frühling liegt ganz eindeutig in der Luft. Und darum gibt es heute von mir eine Frühlingskarte zu sehen.

Well, even if the sun isn't shining here at the moment you can feel it: spring is in the air. And so I have a spring card to share with you today.

Ich habe dafür Hippie Chick verwendet - einer der allerersten Simply Sassy Stempel, die ich mir gekauft habe und immer noch eines meiner Lieblingsmotive. Farblich bin ich diesmal im blau-grün Bereich geblieben und passend zu den leicht rötlichen Haaren habe ich der Süßen mit einem Copic Fine Liner 0.5 in Sepia kleine Sommersprossen verpaßt.

I used Hippie Chick here - one of the first Simply Sassy Stamps I ever bought and still one of my favourites. I used blue-greens for my coloring and matching the slightly red hair coloring I used a Sepia Copic Fine Liner 0,5 to add little spreckles to this cutie's face.

Passend zum Geburtstagsthema habe ich ein Banner als Deko aufgeklebt. Farblich habe ich mich mal an etwas ganz anderes als meine üblichen Kombis rangetraut - und ich bin mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden.

Matching the birthday theme I added a banner as decoration. Colorwise I tried something different than the combos I usually do - and I like how this one turned out.

Today I want to share the card I made for Copic Marker Europe.

Das Motiv, das ich verwendet habe, ist "Princess Who Kissed A Frog" von Saturated Canary - und "knutsch" schien mir der perfekte Titel für den Post. Wobei ich mir nicht sicher bin, ob sie ihn schon geküsst hat oder ob sie noch am überlegen ist... ;)
Ich habe eine runde Easel Card gemacht - und das ist die Front:

The image I used here is "Princess Who Kissed A Frog" by Saturated Canary - and "knutsch", which means smack in german, seemed to be the perfect title for this post. Well, I am not sure if she already kissed the frog or if she is still thinking about it though... ;)
I made a round easel card and this is the front cover:

Die Idee mit der Krone kam mir, als meine Große, die gerade eine Ausbildung zur Kindergärtnerin macht, mich nach einer Kronenform gefragt hatte und ich diese aus dem Netz ausgedruckt hatte.

I got the idea of adding a big crown to the front when my oldest, who will be a teacher at Kindergarden soon, asked me for a crown shape and I printed this from the internet.

Das war für meinen Mann, denn der hat heute Geburtstag...
Nun aber zurück zum Alltag - und der neuen Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Dort haben wir diesmal einen Sketch für Euch:

Back back to everyday life - and the new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. We have a sketch for you this week:

Ich habe ihn nicht für eine Karte, sondern für das Cover meines Copic-Buches benutzt. Das wollte ich schon längst verschönern, verbessern, anders anlegen und nun habe ich endlich angefangen. Und natürlich paßt da am besten das Motiv "Copica" von Saturated Canary.
Ich habe fürs Colorieren meine Lieblings-Farbkombi rosa-grün verwendet und ihr, passend zu mir, braune Haare und Augen gegeben.
Die Deko mußte recht flach ausfallen, denn das Cover wird in einen Schutzumschlag geschoben. Und so sieht es dann aus:

I didn't use this sketch of a card but for the cover of my Copic book. I wanted to alter, make it better, change it since a long time and now I finally started. And of course "Copica" by Saturated Canary was the best image to use.
I used my favourite color combo of pink and green for this cover and, matching me, I colored her with brown hair and eyes.
I had to keep the decoration flat since this is going into a protection sheet. And this is what it looks like then:

Wahnsinn, wie diese dünne Plastikschicht die Farbe abschwächt...
Amazing how this thin sheet of transparency tones down the colors....

Sugar Nellie Spike

Schönen Dienstag morgen Euch allen!

Happy tuesday morning to all of you!

Es ist wieder "Sugar-Nellie-Zeit", denn immer dienstags gibt es eine Karte von mir zu sehen, auf der ich einen der süßen Stempel von Sugar Nellie verwende. Und diesmal mußte es nochmal Spike sein. Striker heißt der süße Stempel und mit der Fußball-EM vor uns dürfte das Motiv bei allen Jungs gut ankommen.

It's Sugar Nellie time again - every tuesday I'm sharing a card on that I use one of the cute images by Sugar Nellie. And this time I had to use another Spike image. Striker is the name of this stamp and with soccer championship ahead I guess every little boy will freak out when getting a card with this image on.

Mit Cheesecloth habe ich versucht, das Netz des Tores nachzuahmen und auch ein Eckfahne habe ich mit einem Stampin' Up Punch gebastelt. Ob die in Wirklichkeit auch rot sind - keine Ahnung!LOL
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia und "Resten" und natürlich war eine Grasbordüre quer über die Karte die perfekte Deko.

I tried to get the look of the net of a goal by using some cheesecloth on this one and I also made my own little corner flag. I have to admit that I have no idea which colors these really are... LOL
Papers are by Magnolia and "my stash" and of course a grass border was the perfect finish for this card.

Our new theme is "buttons and bows".

Ich habe auf meiner Karte die süße Tilda with Ballett Shoes aus der neuesten Kollektion verwendet und passend in rosa und weiß coloriert. Auf das Tutu habe ich dann Stickles aufgetragen. Der blumenförmige Knopf ist mit einer Stanze selbstgemacht, gehalten wird er von einer kleinen Schleife. Außerdem habe ich Knopf-Brads mit benutzt.

I used sweet Tilda with Ballett Shoes on this card and colored her in pink and white. The tutu has been covered with Stickles. The flower shaped button is made using a punch and has been fixed with a little bow. I also used some button brads.

Für mein heutiges Projekt habe ich keine Karte, sondern einen Hänger in Form einer großen Rosette gemacht. Und das süße Oster-/Frühlingsmotiv, das ich Euch präsentieren darf, ist

For my project today I didn't make a card but a big paper rosette. And the cute easter/spring image I am proud to present you is

Daffodil Pip.

Passend zur frühlingshaften Coloration des Motives habe ich auch für die Rosette gelb, grün und weiß gewählt. Die Rosette misst stolze 30cm im Durchmesser. Da ich sie an die Tür hänge wollte ich sie nicht überladen, damit nichts abfallen kann oder die Deko zu schwer wird.
Die Buchstaben sind ausgestanzt und mit ein paar kleinen Glitzersteinchen verziert.

Matching my spring-ish coloring of this cutie I also went with yellow, green and white for the rosette. It is 30 cm in diameter. Since I plan to hang it on a door I didn't want to add too many embellishments so the whole thing isn't getting to heavy or the embellishments may come off due to their weight.
The letter were cut with a cutting die and I added a few little rhinestones to them.

Wunderschönen Abend!

Hier bin ich zu ungewohnter Stunden und als Unterbrechung für den 2tägigen Blog Hop von Sugar Nellie. Aber schließlich gibt es auch bei The Sketchy Challenge eine neue Aufgabe - nämlich diesen Sketch:

Here I am in the middle of the night and in the middle of our 2 days blog hop for the new release of Sugar Nellie. But we at The Sketchy Challenge have a new challenge starting today as well. It's this sketch:

Ich konnte nicht anders als einen weiteren der süßen neuen Sugar Nellie Stempel zu verwenden: Aviator. Ich finde Spike, den Igel, ja echt süß, aber ganz ehrlich gesagt finde ich die Fliege fast noch besser. Achtung, Angriff im Sturzflug! ;)

Eigenlich ist die Fliege natürlich neben dem Motiv, aber ich fand die Idee, sie auszustanzen und mit 3D-Pads auf die Karte zu kleben, ganz gut. 

Den Sketch habe ich um 90° gedreht. Das Steuerrad-Charm paßt nicht ganz, aber zumindest etwas. Und den "Flieger-Orden" habe ich mit der Circut geschnitten. 

I just couldn't resist to use another of the cute new Sugar Nellie stamps: Aviator. I think Spike, the hedgehog, is a real cutie but to be honest - to me the little fly is even cuter. Take care, here I come! ;)

Of course the little fly is on the same stamp as Spike but I liked the idea of punching her out and put her back on the card with a 3D pad.

I turned the sketch 90°. The charm is not really matching but at least it has a traveling theme. And the uniform wings have been cut with my Circut.

Für meine Karte habe ich mich für weiß-rosa entschieden.

Rechts neben dem Motiv ist ein Schnörkel aus Folie ausgestanzt, den ich mit Sandpapier angerauht habe. So ist er nicht so aufdringlich und doch sieht die Seite nicht leer aus. 

Die Ästchen sind von Magnolia, links bei der Schleife versteckt sich noch ein silberner Kronen-Charm.

For my card I went with white and pink.

On the right to the image I added a flourish cut out from transparency that I used my sanding block on to raugh it up a bit. Now it's not taking too much attention but the top right is not looking empty.

The branches are by Magnolia, on the left, underneath the bow, there is a little silver crown charm.

Schönen Donnerstag!

Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday und diesmal lautet unser Thema "signs of spring". Macht also bitte eine Karte, die schon irgendwie an den Frühling erinnert...

It's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday and our new theme is "signs of spring".

Ich habe für meine Karte die Tilda mit dem Hasen hervorgeholt. Ob das schon der Osterhase ist?

Statt eines rechteckigen Mattings habe ich die Ornament Frames gestanzt und hinter das Motiv gelegt. Zaun und Schnörkel sind von Magnolia, ebenso einige der Papiere. Die Blütenstängel habe ich mit Hilfe von etwas Flower Soft selbst gemacht und damit auch gleich noch etwas Gras aufgeklebt.

For my card I took Tilda with the little bunny out of her box. Is it the easter bunny yet?

Instead of doing a rectangle matting I cut the ornament frames and put them behind the image. Fence and flourish are by Magnolia, so are most of the papers. The flower stems are made using some Flower Soft that I also used to add some grass.

Whiff Of Joy # 124

Hallo und willkommen an diesem ganz besonderen Tag!

Nur alle 4 Jahre gibt es einen 29. Februar - und wenn der dann auch noch auf einen Mittwoch fällt, dann müssen wir bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges dieses Thema einfach aufgreifen. Darum ist die Überschrift unserer neuen Challenge "LEAP"- englisch für Schaltjahr. Von diesem Wort haben wir die Buchstaben genommen und ein Thema daraus gebastelt:

Hello and welcome on this very special day!

There is a 29th of february only every 4 years - and if it also is a wednesday then we at Whiff Of Joy Challenges have to pick up the theme. So the title of our new challenge is "LEAP". We took the letters and made a very special theme for you:

L = lace/Spitze

E = easelcard

A = animals/Tiere

P = pink

Zugegeben, ziemlich hohe Anforderungen aber wir hoffen, Ihr macht mit!

We know, these are very specific things we ask for but we hope you'll join us!

Ich habe für meine Easelcard "Sei mein Freund" aus der neuen Frühlingskollektion verwendet. Außerdem habe ich mit dem Frühlingsbaum im Hintergrund und dem Herbstgras eine kleine Szene gestaltet. Das Gras/die Blumen im Inneren der Karte können aufgeklappt werden und so entsteht eine 3dimensionale Wirkung.

Die Form der Karte ist mit einem Punch Around The Page Stanzer von Martha Stewart gemacht, der Text ist von Catslife Press.

For my easelcard I used "Sei mein Freund (bee my friend)" from the newest spring collection. I also used the spring tree in the background and the autumn grass to create a little scene. The grass/the flowers on the inside of the card can be put up and so you get a 3D look.

The shape of the card was made using a Punch Around The Page punch by Martha Stewart, the saying is by Catslife Press.

Heute gibt es wieder eine Karte von mir - einfach so und mit einem älteren, aber wunderschönen Stempel von Sugar Nellie: Faraway Thoughts (momentan sogar reduziert im Angebot zu bekommen).

Hello dear ones!

Today I have a card to share - just because and using an older but wonderful stamp by Sugar Nellie: Faraway Thoughts (and at the moment this one is on offer at Funkykits!).

Ich habe für meine Karte den Sketch aus dem Sugar Bowl verwendet und auch die Option "kraft" umgesetzt. Dazu habe ich das Motiv auf kraftfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt, was prima zum Design paßt. Die Stanze von Magnolia erinnerte mich an Wellen... Der Text ist mit dem Computer geschrieben. Als Deko habe ich 2 der kleinen 3D-Sternchen gefaltet.

I used the sketch from the Sugarbowl Challenge here and also included the optional extra of "kraft". Therefor I stamped the image on kraft cardstock which is great with the designs of the stamp. The die from Magnolia reminded me of waves..., saying is computer generated. As decoration I made 2 of those cute 3d stars.
